Sam’s Club is hosting another series of completely FREE health screenings on 4/13 from 11-3!

The theme this month focuses on Oral Health Care and $100 value screening also includes blood pressure, cholesterol, BMI testing and more!

These are available to the public at all Sam’s Club locations with a pharmacy. If you can’t make this one, head in next month (5/11) for the healthy weight, healthy skin one.

Has anyone attended one of the earlier screenings I posted about? What did you think?

My husband and I went to last month’s screenings when they offered the allergy testing. The allergy test they used was free and I found the same test available at Wal-Mat for $55.00. We had the results back faster than they had anticipated. We traveled 2 1/2hours to particpate and feel it was worth it.

Do you have to have a Sam’s Club membership to participate?

Nope. All the press says the screenings are open to the public. At my location, they set up the testing tables right inside the entrance, and they never asked if people were members or not. Sam’s Club allows (is required to allow, I’ve heard) non-members to use their pharmacy too.

      Just a word of warning…
I’ve been twice to our local Sam’s Club in GAITHERSBURG MD and been very disappointed. They do not do the glucose test at all (say it is prohibited in MD) and last month they didn’t do the allergy test either. The contractor said they weren’t told they needed to do it. I don’t need a cholesterol and BMI every month, which is effectively all the “free” health screening boils down to once you take away the special monthly tests.
I really feel at the GAITHERSBURG MD store that this is only a come-on to get you in the door since they don’t provide the services as advertised on the Sam’s Club website.
So be warned – before you waste a good Saturday morning, call your Sam’s Club and check what will actually be offered. The corporate website is not accurate.
