A Savings Star employee replied to my e-mail to them and said that if you don’t have a smart phone, you can’t use the app. You cannot upload receipts on your computer like Checkout 51 allows.

      • awilkes

I also emailed them and let them know that I don’t have smartphone and have no plans to get one. Questioned them about WalGreen and Kmart because both these places have rewards cards (Why didn’t they allow the rewards cards…they ignored that part of my question. Thankful for the savings I do get though

I was told we should send e-mails or facebook Walgreens and urge them to start allowing us to use their loyalty cards like we do with Bilo, Food Lion, etc.

Hi – You can register your Kmart Shop Your Way number in your account. This does not require a smartphone. (For Walgreens, we’d love to have them allow members to link deals to their cards, but they have yet to do so. Please let them know you would like them to allow this as it helps when stores hear from their shoppers). Thanks, Josh from SavingStar

The app is still a bit buggy. If I leave it open, forget about it, then click the icon, it will crash every time. It usually works properly when it restarts after the crash though. This is the Android version.

Either way it’s much better than the mobile app.

Love the video!! It really explained their new product. Like others I don’t have a smart phone. Too bad you can’t upload like checkout51.

    • Diane

I have Ibotta and Checkout 51 on my phone but with this new app my phone says : your device isn’t compatible with this version. Does anybody have a solution ?

      • https://savingstar.com/ SavingStar

Hi Diane, Because of the updated features, the newest version of the SavingStar
app does require a device that meets certain minimum
requirements. Here’s a little more information about the specifics of
        those requirements:

Will this eventually be able to be used at Publix as a receipt offer for those that don’t use the Upromise?

      • https://savingstar.com/ SavingStar

Hi lacarr, At the moment, we don’t have plans to add Publix as a receipt scan option. We’re hopeful that Publix will agree to join SavingStar and would encourage you to post on their Facebook page and through their website as it helps when stores hear from their shoppers. Thanks, Josh
