diaper deals

One of the most asked questions at workshops and in email is “How do you save on diapers?”  Oh, how I wish I knew the answer to that when I had twins… two more kids later though I am an expert at that one.  The #1 way to save on diapers is at the drugstores.  If you aren’t playing the drugstore game I urge you to get started.  You only need to shop one store (and I would highly recommend CVS over the other two).  Watch a few CVS videos I’ve done and see if that helps, then wait for the next big deal.

You don’t have to wait too long, the next big deal starts Sunday at CVS.

Buy $30 of participating baby care items and get a $10 ExtraCare Buck.  That’s $10 to use on your next purchase of anything in the store.  If you don’t need anything else this week, just hold onto the $10 and use it on the next diaper deal (they don’t expire for 30 days).

There are two diapers on sale this week, Pampers and Luvs.  Depending on what brand you want, here are two deal ideas:

Pampers Deal

Buy:
(3) Pampers Jumbo packs, $8.99
(1) Pampers Wipes, 72 ct., $2.99
Use:
-.50/1 Pampers Wipes 56 ct + printable
(3) -$1.50 off Pampers Baby Dry Diapers printable
Total Due: $24.96

Get Back: $10 ECB, makes it $3.74 each.

Luvs Deal

Buy:
(4) Luvs Diapers, jumbo pk., $7.99
Use:
-$1 off Luvs Diapers printable
Total Due: $27.96

Get Back: $10 ECB, makes it $4.49 ea.

For everyone that thought house brands or buying the massive boxes were a deal, I’m sorry to shatter your world… but they aren’t  You can’t buy house brand diapers that cheap.  For the big boxes, they are really 3 jumbo packs put together in a box.  So you are getting the huge box of pampers for $11.22 then you have a deal, but you probably aren’t.

This is really the tip of the iceberg on saving for diapers.  To learn even more check out a post I wrote on how to stock up on diapers and what price to buy them at.  Learning stock up prices is key to getting the best deals.
