Going Nuts? I can help you understand coupon terms and abbreviations

The number one excuse I hear from non-couponers is “there aren’t any coupons for the things I buy”.  The second one is “I don’t buy all the processed stuff”.  There are items that hopefully we all use though that you could be saving a ton on!   For most of us that is paper goods.

Check out a new video on how to save the most money on your paper product purchases. I hope this video helps!

See all the deals this week on paper good and try out the item search that I mentioned.

Thank you very much! I assume that when comparing the same roll size with the store brand of a warehouse that the price/roll is still better when there’s sales/rewards/coupons?

I have a brand loyalty to Duke mayo and I don’t see a lot of coupons on this. What is a good price for this? Thanks for the help!

      • Jen

I think her “rule of thumb” is to not pay more than 40% of regular retail. Obviously this is not always possible on certain specific items. I usually watch the price for a while to get an idea of the lowest price. Than stock up when I see it. Also you can call or email companies for coupons

Thanks Jenny…paper goods is the one item I struggle with. I can never decide if I’m getting a good price or not; this helped a lot. Thanks for all you do

This is very helpful info! Thanks Jenny! I do have one question, I was thinking about all the different sizes of paper goods and wondered if there was a way to know if you actually got–for instance– 3X the amount of toilet paper if you bought a mega roll versus single roll? Or if they say it’s 3X and it’s actually closer to 2X in reality.

        SB,
In order to prove that, you would have to look at the square footage of the mega roll package versus the single roll package.

My family will use any T.P., besides, Scott. Horrible!!!

I don’t use paper towels! Well, maybe a roll a year. I use old towels and washcloths as rags, then wash them. Or if it’s a really gross mess, throw them away. That’s a bigger deal than paper towels at any price.
