Scholastic Books is now offering up to 70% off books and games. To make this deal even better, they are also providing free shipping! All you need to do is use the code SSBF20 at checkout to get an additional 20% off the price listed and the shipping discount.  This is good through 11/29.

I found lots of books around $2.23 after the extra discount!

Remember to use Ebates for 5% cashback.

Everything I'm seeing says 20-30% off. Do you have to be a member or something?

      • Chris

From what I can see, the code gives you an additional 20% off, plus free shipping, which may or may not be up to 75% off.

That's a great deal for brand-new books, but if you don't mind used….check out the Salvation Army & Goodwill. I never pay more than 25 cents per book now….they have some beautiful, like new books, you just have to spend some time looking. I'll go once every few months on a Sat. morning, spend a few dollars, and come with with tons of new books. I recommend wiping them down with a clorox wipe before handing them to the kiddos ; )

Scholastic also has a warehouse sale if you live near one of their warehouses where almost everything is at least 50% off (some are even cheaper).

last year on cyber monday all of the cash back %'s were doubled. i'm going to wait and see if it's the same this year. if so, it will be 10% back instead of 5%!

      Great information!

Is anyone having trouble accessing the system? It took me 1 hour to order and now it's not letting me pay! It's been very slow.

      • Maritzabelrivera

Yes, I've been having this problem for about half hour now. : ( I hope I can order later.

      • Kwdunn

Same thing for me!! I called a customer service number that was the wrong one & that took another 30 minutes & then it sent me to a voicemail because their phone lines are going crazy! NOT worth the time!

For those of you with kids in school, if their teachers do scholastic book orders, scholastic will donate a book to your child's classroom for every online order you submit. You will need a class activation code and then go to scholastic.com/bookclubs and register as a parent. I don't think that this 20% off code works there, but I noticed that the book I wanted was a cheaper price through the bookclub than it was on the regular website (not 20% off though). Still, I am willing to pay a little more if it means that I get the book I want, and my child's teacher gets a book for their classroom as well!

I would compare book prices on Amazon.com to these sale prices. I found some of the box sets I wanted to order for my kids on Amazon for half the cost of the sets on Scholastic…even with the discount. Plus Amazon offers free shipping over $25.00. The better deals for me were on Amazon. Happy shopping!

I'd rather have my teeth pulled then try to place an order on this website… let me know when it's working.

    • Pjpwillis

It's taken all day but I finally got to where I could place my order but it says the promotional code has exceeded it's limit. Has anyone else experienced this?

    • Melissa

I found the website very slowww too! I also found the promo code is case sensitive. It wouldn't give me free shipping, I guess only on orders over $25.

    • Crystal

Worked great for me! Not slow and got my discount! Thanks Jenny!
