Can anyone give any feedback on how they have liked this product or similar products? I have considered getting a sling with my previous children but was always afraid of spending the money and not liking it. With #4 on the way I am thinking about purchasing but would love feedback first.

I haven’t tried this particular sling, but I did not like slings at all.  I found a wrap best for newborn-5 or 6 months, and after that switched to the Ergo.  Slings just don’t seem to hold them very well, and they aren’t at all adjustable.

I am using a Seven Sling for my third, who is 4 months old.  I really like it for when she’s fussy or I just want to hold her but my arms get tired.  I don’t find it to be all that great for shopping, especially if you are pushing a cart; I like the Baby Bjorn better for that because it seems a little more secure to me.  However, I wish I had used a sling with my other two because it’s such a convenient way to hold and snuggle with your baby!  Now that she’s getting a bit bigger, she likes to move around a bit more and may not like the sling as much.  When she’s older then I’ll try to carry her on my hip with the sling.  I give this product a two thumbs up!

My daughter and son-in law found a pattern and made their own, large enough to carry their children up to age 3 or 4 if desired.  It was a type of wrap that could be tied several different ways for snuggling, front carrying, back carrying and side carrying. All it cost was a very long piece of fabric and hemming all the way around so the material would not unravel. They chose what they each liked best material wise, my SIL loves dragon print and bought black and red!

This sling is not adjustable. I cannot imagine using this kind.

I use a maya wrap and I love it. My second baby is about 5 months old now and have been using the maya wrap, which is a ring sling. I prefer a ring sling (like the maya) because, let’s be honest: its cute and let’s be practical: it’s adjustable so it grows with the baby. The maya wrap is beautiful and does not add rolls to your back or belly and in fact HIDES your post-pregnancy belly. When you know how to use it the baby is very secure and comfortable. My baby falls asleep in this carrier all the time, it is easy to breastfeed and to cover baby while doing so. There is a learning curve to it and you can find plenty of youtube videos, but it  is so worth it! Main difference between a ring sling and the sling shown here: adjustability and thus you are more likely to use what you buy if you can fit it to yourself and your baby.
I have an older child as well, so I’ve used about 6 different carriers. This kind of carrier shown in this post is not one I personally like. I think it is a little dangerous since it must be fitted perfectly and I do not like carriers where the baby is in cradle position because it can be tricky. In the ring sling the baby is positioned upright with the head well supported by the fabric and with the legs in the natural position newborns like (like froggy). Eventually they can be positioned with their legs out.

The ergo carrier, which I have and also like very much, does not look good in anyone above a size 6. The ergo is functional since it will carry up to 90lbs and it is easy on your back. Better for older babies 6 months and up. And can be used front or back.

I bought my maya wrap used… Best if you can find it this way since they are very expensive imo

This is not a deal.  These slings are poorly made, their customer service is horrid, and I have never seen them for any price other than “free, pay shipping and handling”.  It’s a joke.

I loved my Moby Wrap.  It’s got a learning curve, but it’s wonderful for holding baby close and comfortable to wear.  I don’t like Baby Bjorns or Snugli carriers because they cause baby to dangle by their crotch, rather than seating them on their bottom.

I wish I would have read the comments below before ordering this for my 5 month old. I must admit it does seem too good to be true. We will see when it arrives.

In the babywearing group I belong to there is a warning posted about these slings being poorly made & potentially dangerous.  I was going to get one since it was free back when I first started looking but I went with a Sleeping Baby Productions sling instead and then ended up getting a great deal on a slightly cushioned Maya sling.
