We have the original version and new versions of these necklaces.  Courtney, the owner of Cents of Style, actually surprised my girls with their very own necklaces a few years ago at the Becoming Conference.  So we can all wear our necklaces with pride.

I have worn my new necklace every day for the last week.  I’ve even gone more southern and started wearing it with my pearls too.

Some folks look at South Carolina and think we are a little backwards and backwoods, but what they miss is a state that is one of the mostly friendly and loving states I’ve seen.  I think we showed the world that due to the terrible events in Charleston a little over a year ago, we also showed it to ourselves with the flooding last fall.  We still stand in awe at the response that we saw of an entire city coming together to help those that needed it.  A member of our church had their home flooded up to the roof, and within 10 weeks their home was repaired and they had moved back in!  Through all the repair work they had so many different people and churches in and out helping them.  Folks canvased streets making sure needs were met, working as teams to tear out damaged sections and clean up entire homes in less than a day.
