There are so many new faces around here lately that I wanted to take some time and cover some of the features on Southern Savers you might have never noticed.  I also get so many emails from folks that just don’t know where to get started or what it all means.  So spend a few minutes with me taking a tour, and even my old timers might learn a new trick or two!

This was truly EXTREMELY helpful!! Thank you, thank you, thank you for this great tutorial and website!!!!

    • Careycrow

Thank you so much. I have been using your site for a while and thought I knew everything, but I learned so much watching this video. Thank you so much!!!

    • Mygumby08

Some Publix locations will not honor Target coupons. I found this out last night when I was checking out and the cashier told me that their particular store didn't honor them because there was not a Target within a certain mile radius. So, before you fill your buggy with items that you plan using the Target coupons with, you may want to call your local Publix beforehand and verify if they accept Target coupons. My particular Publix, however, did accept all other competitor's coupons.

      • MelRae

My Publix has a Target within walking distance, but they won't take Target coupons because it is not a Super Target (no produce, bakery, or fresh meat). I was talking with my Publix CS Manager just yesterday, and she said if they ever turned that Target into a Super Target, then they would start taking their coupons. So here's hoping!

    • ACW

This is fabulous. I thought I was an old hand at navigating the Southern Savers website, but I'm glad I took the time to watch. I had to back up the video to read the pop-up comment; I can't wait to check out the delete coupon function on the shopping list matchup! Thank you–thank you–thank you! :D

      • Cami White

It's really great…let's you just have the coupons on your shopping list that you actually have (rather than a list of 15 for the J&J baby products last week, etc.). Less paper and less ink too!! (More for printing coupons!)

    • To all the new people, Jenny's site is actually the easiest to navigate through.. Really.. I've seen so many other blogs and they are just a mess… This is by far the best site for couponing…

    • Itsallgreace

      love it! – watch it!

    • Missmo

Thank you for this video. Jenny, you are heaven sent. :)

    • Kelly N.

I am a seasoned user, but in light of the topic, I just wanted to say how much I appreciate all your hard work with this. Your site is so organized…right up my alley! Everything is spaced out and neat…making everything nice and easy to find. Thank you!

    • Itsallgrace

      love it – watch it!

    • MommyMia

Wow, that was really helpful! I admit I've been a bit overwhelmed by everything for the past several months. Good work and much appreciated.

    • Cthompson818

Thanks for taking time to post this tutorial!

    • Stephany

Been using your site for a while & did not know about the coupon data base. Awesome feature!!! You have, by far, the most user friendly coupon site. I get lots of comments in the store like “wow wish I could save that much money!” My reply always is that southernsavers.com is the best help for getting started & keeping up with your couponing. Thanks for such a great site!!!

    • Elizabeth

Thanks! Your video is very nicely put together. Some of us would love to know: How many people are you referring to when you say “We?” How large is your team?

    • Morgan

I'm glad Jenny posted this. It gives me the perfect chance to admit how much of an idiot I am…. I had been following this site since for months before the re-design, and until last week I could never figure out why she had that little rodent in the header at the homepage… And then I FINALLY read his name: Martin Clipmunk. Very cute, Jenny, very cute!

    • housewifeWHO?

Thank you so much, Jenny. I was not using the site to it's full potential and with the information you've provided you've made couponing so much easier for this newbie.

    • Mommyof2girls

Jenny. I just wanted to say thanks again for all you do. I started couponing as my New Year's resolution after coming upon your site the week after Christmas. I was always overwhelmed by the amount of work it seemed to be to clip every coupon then sort them in a check file, only to save .55 cents of retail, or worse, to NEVER use. Now that I know how much I can truly save by shopping sales and using my coupons wisely in an organized manner that makes sense to me, I am saving well over 60% retail every week. Even better, our pantries and fridge are so stocked that my husband had to clean out our garage and add new shelving.

Thanks again, you have really made a huge difference in my family's life. BTW, when are you coming to Huntsville, AL so we can learn from you in person, girl? You have a bit of a following with many nurses here. :)

    • Abacon

This was so helpful! Thanks Jenny!!

    • Nicolecaroline1023

I just wanted to say what a blessing you are, Jenny. Your site is so easy to navigate, and doesn't even compare with other sites. Thank you for all your hard work! I don't know what I'm going to do when I move to the northeast!

    • Sbwhiteout

Any chance you will be adding Piggly Wiggly to your site? It would be great to support a locally owned business, but still learn how to apply coupon strategies along with Greenbax to save money on groceries.

    • 2BMD2013

Thank you for all you do. You truly have made such an impact on my family's life. You have done more than save us money. You have made an impact on teaching my children life lessons on using the money God has given us wisely.

I would like to know what your thoughts are in general about Sams or Costco.

    • Dkshipp57

I have wanted to email and THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DO. But I know you don't get a chance with so much to do. Thought I would write here maybe u will see how much we LOVE YOU AND ALL U DO. Your site is the easiest to use. When u was having the contest going to other sites they were harder to understand. I use YOU everyday. Can't play video have dail up not sure what you said but I know it was helpful. GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY without them behind you couldn”t bless 10,000,000 of people.

    • Sdavisva

Awesome video! I've been on here over a year and learned a few things from the video. I especially love the 'add in' feature on the shopping list AND I just learned from the video that I could move the list around!!!!! Wow! This will make MEGA sales so much easier (especially for when my 'helpers', 3 daughters aged 10,7, and 2, are with me)!

Oh, and I love the database – the best on the web as far as I've found. Thanks for pointing out all the other features of it. I learned a lot!
      Many blessings!

    • jessc5

I have been following (stalking?) your site for over a year and a half, and I just want to say Thank You! You have completly changed the way I shop, but more importantly your site has allowed me to save an ABSURD amount of money!!!

Two years ago, I would NEVER have step into Kroger, Ingles, Walgreens, CVS, or Riteaid because I perceived them as too expensive, but now I just can't seem to stay OUT of them! LOL!

    • jessc5

Would it be possible to add a QUANTITY box on the shopping lists? For instance, for Kroger I want 6 Rotel and 4 Hunts, and so on. That might be very helpful!

    • Missy14141

      Thanks Jenny!

    • Amyral

Thank you so much!! I have been using your site to make my grocery lists for a long time but you let me know of a few features that I never have used before. I am very excited!

    • Melissa

Thank you for taking the time to do this video. I have been on your site for two years and I learned some new things. It just keeps getting better! =)

    • Niddi

I would love to be able to use the coupon database, it sounds great, but I've tried it 3 times and each time it did something to make my IE 7 stop responding. It froze up my computer and I couldn't even close it out, had to push the main button to shut it down. Anyone else have problems with this part of the site?

      • Crafty_cat_86

the database always loads slowly for me, too. I have to make sure all other windows are closed and give it some extra time (get some water or something), but I think it's worth it. My guess is that there is so much more information to load, that it's super slow, but I don't know…

    • Vhollie56

I heard about Southern Savers through a You Tube user. This is a very helpful site. Love it. Thanks for everything.

    • Joy

I've been using your site for a while and learn a lot with the new site design! Thanks. Keep doing videos!!!! You save me and a lot!!

    • Sean

Even as an “Old Pro” to your site, I found out a lot of little things that will help me with my savings even more! I have told so many folks about your site and I always tell them to watch the videos. Thanks for all your help and keep up the good work! You and your site are a blessing!

Thanks for the overview, I will have to recommend this video to my friends who are new to the site. It's cool to see what you “really” look like too! :)

    • cheryl

The video was very informative. I wish I had it when I first using the sight. I have recommended to several people. I love what you are doing for everyone. I just want to thank you for all the time you put into this. I'm going to get my penny savor at Publix today. I love it!

    • Sarahenapier

To learn the prices I generally pay with sales and coupons, as I unload my groceries I have a black sharpie (free filler item one day at Walgreens!) that I use to mark the price I paid on the items. When I pull the item from my pantry, I know what I paid for it, as do the other members of the family, especially hubby. I can easily calculate meal costs, show friends my success, and learn the prices to pay for things quickly buy seeing the prices over and over again. The .14 (fourteen cents) I saw repeatedly on a bag of craisins one year ago is still with me today . . . even though I have paid a bit more for them lately!

    • Sarahenapier

Love the video . . . Been using and sharing this site with others for two years. This really helps and I learned new features I had yet to explore! Sharing my favorite hint below . . . not sure why I started it or where, but it works for me!
