How do you deal with cashier is not friendly to couponer?

      • thriftyandproud

If the coupons you are using are 100% legitimate (correct product, size, quantity, not photocopies, unexpired) I would insist them to be used by the cashier or call a manager over.
Then I would remember this cashier and avoid going thru her line in the future. If the store is totally coupon unfriendly I would shop elsewhere. If you are not using the coupon correctly and the cashier is pointing it out then they are correct and you should graciously accept their refusal to honor the coupon.

Thank you for your reply. My coupon was printed from the coupon. Com and was not expired, also for the right item but walmart register beep, the cashier calls manager, and she said they can’t take it. It’s embarrassed, so I just don’t coupon much anymore .

Don’t let one bad experience deter you. Try shopping at Publix, Harris Teeter, or Bilo. I usually never have any issues with them. I try to avoid Walmarts at all cost. I hate the crowds and LONG LINES. Just watch the sale ads and you can save alot more than at Walmart. Its your money and you have the right to make it work for you.

Jenny, I’d love if you would address the fitness issue tonight. What’s the best way to save on items such as running shoes, fitness gear, protein shakes, and workout DVDs? I know I see coupons for the protein shakes occasionally, but I can never remember which insert I saw them in.
