Recycle any empty HP ink cartridge, get $6 in Staples Rewards

    • Melanie

What’s an easy rebate? Do I need to print something off to get it?

      • Michelle

No, when you purchase the item in the store it prints off a receipt that you can fill out and mail in. You can submit the rebate online too and it’s very easy. I always use the online method.

    • Toni

Is (Recycle any empty HP ink cartridge, get $6 in Staples Rewards) for this week only? Do you get the $6 to use immediately? Can someone explain the Staples policy? Thanks–

      • Ashley

You don’t get to use it immediately. They now send it by mail.

I was told by Staples employee the last time they had double rewards on ink, that it was only if you bought $50 in HP ink… you would then get double rewards for cartridges.

      • Kelli

Hi! The hp promotion is on toner cartridges only. When you purchase a toner cartridge and bring in your old catridges, you’ll receive $6.00 back in rewards as well as earning 20% back on your toner purchase. If you bring your toner cartridge back without purchasing another, you’ll just earn $3.00 on your rewards.

    • Rachel

So if I used coupons with some of the 50% reward items can I possibly get the item for free after the reward? In other words, do they give you back the 50% of the retail price or what you actually paid for it w/ coupons?

    • Michelle in Martinez

do they have a limit of how many empty HP cartridges you can bring in and get $6 rewards for?

      • Katherine

I believe their policy is 10 cartridges per month. They have changed it several times in the last year, though, so that may or may not be correct.

        • Kelli

Yes, you can bring in up to 10 ink/toner cartridges in a month to get $3.00 towards your rewards certificate. Any brand. IF you are a premier customer (BLACK CARD ONLY) you can bring up to 20 ink/toner cartridges to get $3.00 towards your rewards certificate.

    • I think the $6 is for HP toner cartridges only. The ink cartridges are still $3 each. At least that is how I am reading it. Is there somewhere else this may be posted differently as opposed to the ad itself? Thanks.

      • Kelli

You just have to purchase hp toner to earn 20% back, you can recycle any toner cartridge with hp toner purchase to earn $6.00 back for each one.

    • Monica

Can you buy an unlimited amount of product from each of the categories or is it just one item from each category or is it just one office supply item? No one at my Staples knew the answer to this.

      • Kelli

I took it as purchase as many of the qualifying items & get 50% back. You can only use the 50% coupon once.

    • Kristina

please make sure you bing in the ad. there’s a coupon on the front page. they will have to scan the ad.

    • Amy B.

I used the $1 off Post-it Notes & $1 off any Post-it products from the 1/10 SS. Some items were on sale for $2.49 (monogram notes), $2.79 (small notes & dispenser) and $3(flags & page markers). I got one “splurge” for $5.99 that I had been wanting- a weekly planner. In total I bought 10 Post-it items and used 10 coupons, spending $23.75 after tax. I expect ~$15.78 in rewards back = ~$8 for all my stuff!

The cashier did give me a bit of a hard time about combining rewards & coupons and using 10 coupons, but the manager assured her that it was fine :).

    • Amber

There is also a mail in rebate from 3M, should make this deal a money maker….buy $20 get $10back!

This seems to be for Post-it Labels (not notes or flags). I actually didn’t even see these in the store when I was checking out the post-it products. Do you have any other insight Amber?
