Sorry to sound stupid, but you still spend the 24.99 and then you get the rebate, right? the coupon itself doesn’t make it free at the store?

      • momof3insprings

        wondering the same thing Laura

        • Susan Scatena

So what’s the purpose of the $25 coupon (that only scans at $4.99) ? whatever we pay, we get back. Just to lower the tax? Doesn’t matter if we pay $25 or $21, we get it back.

      • Ryann

You still need to pay 24.99 plus tax and the store will give you a rebate form

      • Stacie

Laura, there are no stupid questions! ;~) I did this yesterday. The cases were 25.99 at my store, the coupon took off 4.99, then you get the prepaid Visa for $21.00. Hope this helps!

        • sam

what coupon took off the 4.99?

          • Stacie

Sam, it’s on the Staples coupon page. Click the link above that says “Staples Easy Rebate & Coupon”

            • sam

Thank you Stacie!! I went and got my paper 30 minutes ago!!

            • Stacie

              Yay! Glad to help. ;~)

            • Dana

I’m still not seeing which one takes off the $4.99. The 25% off coupon says it doesn’t apply to Copy Paper. Am I missing something? Thanks.

            • Stacie

Dana, it’s about halfway down the coupon page on the right. The one that says “Free After Easy Rebate & With Coupon” (Staples copy paper 5-ream case). Hope this helps!

            • Dana

              Thanks, Stacie!

    • kristen

I’ve never seen them do five reams! Thanks for the heads up…won’t miss this deal!

    • Janis

How long does it typically take to get your easy rebate back? I think I read that you can do it via Pay Pal – it that the fastest option?

      • EDinNC

Unfortunately, they quit offering Pay Pal on 11/24/13. I guess check-fulfillment companies make a lot of money on checks that get misplaced and never cashed. (And yes, Janis. Pay Pal was the fastest.)

        • momof3

It takes a couple of weeks, and this is not a check but a visa prepaid card.

          • Lauren Wickersheim

Right. I’m going to have to remember to use it practically and not be like “Yay I have gift cards!” :P

    • Chloe12

Thanks, Jenny! Love the free paper deals!

    • Sarah

Still trying to figure this deal out! There is a coupon for $25 off multipurpose paper and then another coupon for rebate on COPY paper. Different items. Did they change the rebate from multipurpose to copy paper? Thanks!

    • Darby

ok, is the coupon the one that says 25% off of your office supplies purchase? Then you will get a rebate after that?

      • momof3

No, there is one for the paper specifically and it says FREE on it.

    • mrmrjbenauto

Can I use rewards to pay the $24.99 and still get the easy rebate?

    • Lauren Wickersheim

Thanks for posting this Jenny! Went and got two 5-packs last night and submitted my rebate today. So excited to not feel quite so guilty when I have to print one coupon and waste the rest of the sheet of paper. Now that the paper is free and I have a laser printer and two years worth of toner (thanks Cyber Monday!) I feel so much better printing a ton of coupons! :)
