The photo paper is liste on the easy rebate webpage, but staples copy plus copy paper is not listed. ?? Also not in the ad or marked in store. How do we verify this?

we will be homeschooling and i havent recieved my homeschool Id yet. but my question is how do you get the teacher penny items. do you have to have an id? if so does homeschoolers get this is as well?

    • ed823

How do you prove you are a teacher? Do you have to show your teacher ID when you make a purchase? I shop for my husband who is the teacher.

I don’t know if this is true for all stores but at my Staples, they are trusting the customer to be honest. You just have to apply for a Teacher Rewards card. Once you have that, you automatically get the teacher promotions. If you do have to show that you are a teacher, you should be able to show a teacher id or a paycheck stub. Like I said, our store doesn’t require that but I don’t know if that is system wide or just our area. Hope that helps.

My Staples and the corporate office said that the teacher deal is not going on and they know nothing of it.

    • My local Staples (Rock Hill, SC) had heard nothing of it. I walked out empty handed… :(

Well glad to know I am not the only one. I looked kinda dumb asking about the teacher penny sale at my Staples today (Aiken, SC) I spoke to the general manager that just happened to be in the store and I spoke to the store manager. Not only had they not heard of this sale but they could not find one thing about it on their website. He even went to his office and got the next two weeks sales ads. Nothing. It was a waste of time really. I was told that they have never heard of a teacher penny sale except in the fall. So…???

Has anyone tried this? Perhaps if we take the stuff to the register it will automatically adjust the price. Just curious.

Check your receipts on the “free paper” deal. I bought the paper today, and she scanned the coupon and it didn’t take anything off. I paid $6.99 for the paper. Previously when they’ve had this coupon it will take $3 off and you get a $3.99 rebate making it free. however, it didn’t take anything off, and the rebate was only listed at $3.99. I didn’t feel like coming home to try and see if it was really $6.99. The staples rebates take FOREVER anyway. The cashier of course had no idea and the manager wasn’t available so I just returned it.
