Staples Teacher Appreciation

If you are a teacher prepping for the new school year, make sure not to miss 2 upcoming Teacher Appreciation Events:

Staples

The first 100 teachers to come by on Staples Teacher Appreciation Day will receive a free thank you gift bag, some coupon savings, and a sneak peak at new items for the classroom.

If you are planning on stopping by Staples anyways to take advantage of their Back to School Deals, might as well go by then to pick up your free bag and coupons!

Find out when your local Teacher Appreciation Day is happening on Staples webpage – many are in mid August.

Office Max

The Office Max Teacher Appreciation Days are Sunday & Monday, July 31-August 1. With your Max Perks Teachers Reward card you’ll get a free reusable tote, 20% off anything you can fit in it as well as giveaways for the first 150 teachers!

Find a store near you and save a little for your classroom needs.

Does anybody know what will be inside the Office Max bags? Also do they just need your TeacherPerks card to scan to qualify?

      • Hannah W.

My mom is a teacher and I believe they require your ID as well. But I could be wrong.

    • Alissa

Does anyone know if homeschool teachers with a homeschool card can take advantage of this?

      • Ntwr21

yes you can. At least at my stores you can.

      • kjmiller

There is a homeschool card? Where did you get it, please?  We live in GA.

        • Melohd

You get them when you sign up for the legal groups- HSLDA, or a GA based one. We in TX have our own group…we get cards from them, THSC.

          • kjmiller

Terrific, I'll check into that, thanks! (This is our first year, so the learning curve for ME is a bit steep as well). :)

      • Heather

Last year both OfficeMax and Staples honored IDs for homeschool teachers that were either members of homeschooling associations or HSLDA.  Michaels Crafts does year round for 20% every purchase as well :)

        • kjmiller

          Great info, thanks!

I have been using my    HSLDA card as my teacher ID at Staples. It does say teacher ID on it. They have not questioned me yet.

    • Lalawhat

do you have to show id or can any one get it and give it as a gift to a teacher

    • teach

Has anyone been to this in the past?  What kind of coupon savings do they have?

      • ab

Went to the Staples one last yea; totally not worth it. No coupons, just a few free items (like a two pocket folder and two cap erasers) and a reusalbe tote. There were several local businesses there, and it seemed like a PR event for them. HTH–I guess anything is nice of them to do. :)

    • Kelly

Glad I checked this. Ours is today!

BOO.  We don't have either one close by.  Office Depot will be running their Teacher Appreciation, but they don't take the 20% off a bunch of items — anything in electronics and what I really need is an awesome deal on an all in one printer for school use. Happy shopping to all my fellow teachers out there — its 'bout that time.

Do you know if there are any additional sale items that are applicable on to teachers?  Also,  teachers are usually allowed to have more than items than are listed on the sale flyers.

      • Coleman19972000

Mine allowed me to buy double the regular limits in the sales ad.
