I’d wait on buying the HammerMill paper and see if they issue a $2 off coupon later in the week like they have done the past 2 weeks. With the $2 off coupon it would be free after easy rebate.

The $2.00 coupon issued doesn’t expire until 9/3

If I needed paper right now (which I don’t thanks to the great back to school deals.) buying it by the case is the better way to go right now since you get 10% back on the purchase price and then have the $39 easy rebate which makes it $5.09 for the whole case or .50 cents a ream! Almost wish I needed paper right now or knew of a charity that needed it! I am also realizing that using my staples rewards on paper or ink is really not worth it since I only get rewards back on the amount after coupons and rewards used.

         Hello,
Where do you live? Our public schools in Jacksonville, FL are always in need for paper. Last year was a rough year that the teachers had to use their own money to buy paper. Thank you for being thoughtful.

        • Kaoscasa

We have to buy our own paper here in Pickens County, SC too.  Our pay has been frozen for 4 years now.  Not a pretty sight!!

I live in Atlanta north of the city, I always donate to the schools here. Both through my moms church and to the schools themselves.I find that certain schools get plenty of tax funding while the other schools are ignored because they are in the city instead of the suburbs. It’s criminal to me. With all the great back to school sales it just makes sense to donate.

Our schools are always asking for paper.  I gave each of the teachers a ream on the first day of school.  They LOVE paper and yes, they provide it themselves where I live in Greer, SC.

    •  I’m just learning to coupon.  Once I read a great post on Southern Savers about how to shop Staples, and now I can’t find it.  I need a refresher.  Can anyone point me to that post?

      • Soberkitty

I was looking and I can’t find it. Try goggling it and maybe you’ll find a link to it!

FYI… the Staples 10 Ream case of paper is for a Rewards rebate, NOT an easy rebate so you only get the $39 to use as credit at Staples… at least that’s what it is in Charleston. I lucked out only because the manager couldn’t figure out why the easy rebate would not print out and so he just charged me $9.99 for each case. LUCKY ME because my husband who is in retail showed me later that their ad states the deal is only for Reward rebates

      • Soberkitty

I saw that later in our printed ad here in Atlanta area. But of course the easiest way I’ve found to turn your staples rewards into cash is to buy items that do have the easy rebates on them and then just donate them!

I’ve been looking at purchasing quickbooks for my hubby’s business… does anyone know if I can purchase the simple start and later upgrade to an advanced program if we decide we need it?  I know some software you can simply upgrade at a discounted price, instead of purchasing the entire program.
