I need paper! Plus i just got a $2 reward to use.

    • Guest

I can always use paper since I started couponing, LOL. I was waiting for a good week so I could use my rewards.

    • Sandy Williams

I’ve never really shopped at Staples before. I read your intro post. So, with this week’s deals, if I buy all the acorned items, I’ll receive a check in the mail for their full value?

That’s what it sounds like. It just sounds too good to be true. :-)

      • andi330

Easy rebates vary on how you get the money back. Some are checks, some are prepaid visa cards etc. But yes, you get the money back. I just got my easy rebate from a January purchase so it really does work. The way these stores work is that they offer these kinds of rebates knowing that people will come in to get the deal, but then forget to actually submit the rebate.

        • Sis2

You usually always have a choice of how you receive the funds.  Sometimes it comes up first as a prepaid card and then you have the option to click on that and change it to a check.  I always prefer a  check to the card, so I always change to that option.

        • Sandy Williams

Thanks, andi330! That makes sense. So, I REALLY need to remember to submit the rebates!

          • andi330

And with the Staples Easy Rebates, you don’t even have to mail anything in. Just go to the easy rebate website and plug in the requested information. If you do it as soon as you get home then you don’t forget!

      • Yep, that’s how it works!  The folks below are right that you can choose the form of your rebate when you submit it online.  Most offer checks, prepaid visa’s or occasionally you’ll see a Staples gift card as an option.  All you pay is the tax after rebate (or, if you happen to have a coupon, these are often money makers!)

      • JessicaF

You just have to make sure you fill out the forms exactly as specified and you can’t get more than whats allowed. The rebates go by what address, name and telephone number you enter. My husband and his dad bought paper there once, 2 packs each. And we put our address for ours and his dads for his, but his dad didn’t want to give out his phone #, and they had only told us at the store that the address had to be different so we just used our telephone # for both. Well, his went through and ours rejected as a duplicate claim. After speaking  with multiple customer service reps I was told there was nothing we could do because it was not their mistake, it was mine. So just be careful how you fill out the form, or it will not be an EASY rebate.

    • Got2save

Did I mention before that PUBLIX, CVS and STAPLES are my favorites stores!!!!!

    • ireneY

Awesome — down to two sheets of paper left so this is perfect timing! I’ve never done the easy rebates, but based on all the feedback below, it sounds like a great system! So, if I use a $/$$ competitors, I still get the full amount of the rebate?

      • christa

Yes, you get the full amount if it’s a REBATE, even if you use a coupon.  REWARDS are calculated after any coupons, including any rewards you used to pay for them.

      • Kat

I was almost out of paper too and signed up for a staples rewards card this morning, got the rebate eligible items, used the 5 off 10 and just finished entering my rebate info. that really was easy. thank you.

    • stacey

Is there anything official anywhere about them taking
competitors coupons?  I just want to know before I take one in.  I
know Office Depot does this with no problem.

      • JessicaF

I would call your local store and make sure you speak with a manager. And if they say yes, get their name just incase not all the employees are aware of the policy. Policy can vary store to store and state to state.

    • Cwalkermarie

we don’t have a staples near. Can these work online?

      • christa

No, sorry.  If you look at the ad (“upcoming weekly ad” on their website), it says in-store only.

    • Cori C

Jenny – isn’t your favorite printer on sale at Staples this week for $49?

    • Guest

The Office Depot post has a link to a $10 off of $50 coupon. Staples will take  that Office Depot coupon. I did it this morning with no problem. Makes the free easy rebates deals even better and I used my rewards. Good Trip.

    • CSBmom

My Staples would not take the internet printable coupon. They said only the coupons from mailouts. Also the $10 off $50 says that you can’t use on technology or consumer electronics. They explained at Office Depot that this means anything that uses power, electrical or battery. The printer is a good deal with or without the coupon but don’t get mad if you can’t use it.

    • jwpretzel

Got the freebies!  Thanks so much for posting.

    • Gail in GA

I just finished entering my rebates and had used the $10 off $50.  Staples had subtracted it from the labels to make them 1.99 after $10 off.  Now I entered the easy rebate and it only shows 1.99 on the site that I will be receiving.  Will I still get the rebate, have they changed their rules or is it just me.  I like Staples and all their great prices but just wonered if this had happened to anyone else.  Thanks.

      • ireneY

Maybe it depends on how the coupon was entered? My cashier divided the $10 amongst five items and they were itemized as “100% price guarantee,” but my rebate forms still show full price paid.

        • Ejshone

Have you tried to submit your rebate? Mine says the same thing, but when I went to do the rebate it’s only going to give me $1.98 for the 2 purchased. I noticed the wording on the rebate is “up to $5.99 rebate” Maybe that’s that’s why?

      • Ejshone

I had the the same experience. I used a competitor coupon and my rewards. My rebate amount come out to be 1.98 for the pens. Now I’m wondering if I return them is that all I get back?

    • Tgold6

I used a .50 cents Kleenix coupon.  Also, I believe there is a bic coupon but didn’t have my coupons with me.

    • Mamakat

Had a GREAT trip to Staples.  Bought a kindle for my husband for his birthday and several of the free items.  Had a $10 off my purchase at Staples coupon mailed to me last week from Staples for being a good customer.  Used that and spent $97 total.  Just completed rebate request online for $37, so free paper, pens and tissues plus a kindle for $60!
