The qualifying purchase includes whole bean coffee, not just ground coffee. I just bought two bags yesterday, so I was disappointed when it said ground coffee because I always get the whole bean and grind it fresh at home, but I looked at the offer rules and it includes any starbucks coffee bag over 10 oz.
