We were so excited. The eggs were buried under the snow. You could barely see the bright colors under the snow. It was the best egg hunt ever. We found as many as we could that day. When came back to our camp later that summer we were still finding eggs.

My favorite memory is of my brother running around screaming at the top of his lungs while searching for eggs because he was so excited

    • Jenni P.

Any of my mother’s Easter dinner spreads. I loved that family time and that good food! I’ve enjoyed doing the same for my family!

Abby snuck out before we woke up, and we awoke to all the bunnies an peeps with bitten off heads…

    • Sarah

My favorite Easter was the first with my daughter. She was still in the hospital, but it was so special to share the day with my beautiful baby!

    • Shannon Leaf

My favorite childhood easter memory was easter egg hunting at my grandparents house with all my cousins. They would put $$$ in a handful of the eggs one of which was a $5 bill (considered the golden egg)… Now my favorite memories are teaching my own children the meaning of Easter while dressing them up in super cute dressed (all girls :p).

    • Pam

Sunrise service in Bagdad KY 1985. Out in the countryside.6:30 a.m. As the sunrise burst over the hill, our music director was singing with the windows of the small church open to let the music flow outside. We were sitting outside in folding chairs and the church bells of a nearby church starting tolling. A cow in the meadow chimed in and you could feel the magnitude of the Easter morning and significant event that had occurred so many years ago.

    • Fallan

My favorite Easter memory is when my son was 1 (he’s three now) and was just learning how to hunt for eggs. We did our own mini-hunt in a city park near my parents’ home.  Obviously, the hiding places were easy.  He was so fasinated that the first egg opened and had “monies” that he wouldn’t even look for the others. It was a riot.

    • Apjp2005

Even now that me and my siblings are all grown and married with kids of our own my parents still get each of us a little stuffed animal and a few pieces of candy for Easter each year. It was so special even as a teenager living at home because you knew on Easter morning you would wake to a cute little bunny and some chocolate. They had a habit of putting it on our dressers or night stand so we would see it as soon as we woke up. Such a little thing but something special we share.

    • My Dad was in the Army and we lived overeas most of my childhoold life. My favorite Easter Memory was in Panama, Ft. Clayton and my parents would hide the eggs around the back and front of the house. Well, I was I believe 5 at the time. Living in this tropical place, you will find all sorts of slithery creatures out and about. Well, I so busy looking for the “golden egg” that I filled my basket with iguana’s eggs. Only, I didn’t know they were that until I ran back to show my Dad and Mom and boy they were a little freaked out. Needless to say, the following year, we did an indoor Easter egg hunt, my Mom was so worried I’d find something else out there ie. snakes etc. The thought of it now is kind of scary, I could have been bitten etc. Thanks for allowing me to relive this childhood memory.

    • Tineyone

My fave Easter was shortly before my mom passed.  I was 14 years old and it was the last holiday that she was still well enough to participate.  I remember her standing out there, watching us look for eggs.  When I found the “prize” egg, she jokingly informed me that I was too old to be out there egg hunting and to put it back!!   She chased me when I refused!!  When she caught me, she tickled me.

      I love that memory!

    • Mommyking

The Easter Bunny used to hide our Easter baskets somewhere in the house after he filled it with goodies.  It was so fun hunting for our baskets!

    • catt716

I loved shopping recently with my daughter who’s a first time mommy of a daughter (my beautiful granddaughter) who’s going to be two months old on Easter.  We had to go shopping because she had to get her an Easter basket and fill it with a stuffed bunny, some infant toys, and I bought some baby bunny slippers and a book!  After all, what else do you buy a 2 month old for Easter!

    • Sharie

All the Easters I got to spend with my family-mom, dad, step siblings.  We now live 1000 miles apart so now it’s just me, my hubby and 2 kids making our own Easter memories.

    • My fave Easter memory is from when I was a child.  My uncle would draw maps for me and my cousins to follow to find our Easter eggs. It was so fun and a tradition I am going to pass on to my boys when they are old enough!  :)

    • Treeky3

I was 6 years old and was allowed to pick out my dress for the first time. I was mesmerized by the sheer, pleated sleeves that looked like butterfly wings (at least in my 6 year old brain). When the Easter egg hunt started, I was literally in left field, twirling around and watching my sleeves billow. My friends were all laughing saying that I would lose out on the hunt…until I twirled and tripped on THE golden egg. Funny, I hadn’t thought about that in years Got to check and see if Mom kept that dress and if my daughter would like it.

    • Lucie L

2 years ago, several of us moms combined our efforts and put together a huge egg-hunt at our local park.  The kids had a blast!

    • Hannahkaymommy

My favorite Easter memory would be the whole family (all 7 kids and all 22 grandkids) to have a fun filled day of dinner, egg hunting and family time after we completed sunrise service and church services.

    • DoubleR82

My favorite Easter memory is of me and my family when I was about 12 years old. After sun-rise church service (when I was about 12), my family and I had just gotten home. I came and sat on our back porch with everyone and we reflected on the sermon at church.  I remembered closing my and listening to the birds chirping and smelling the fresh dew on the grass.  The wind was blowing through the porch screen.  I remembered saying to myself, there is a God in heaven to have created such a peaceful moment.  That memory/that place always stuck with me.  When I am facing tough times, I go back to that memory. Easter always brings back memories of spending time with family and being thankful for the live that we have been blessed with

    • Kellyjw

My favorite easter memory was the first Easter with my son. He was only a week or so old. Just loved having the whole family together and, for the first time ever, three generations. :)

My favorite Easter memory is from 2 years ago when we put little notes in eggs to tell our family members that we were having a baby! :)

    • Jen

My favorite Easter memory is when my great-grandparents were still living and we had huge Easter egg hunts at their house.  There was always a prize golden egg with $20.00 and it was so exciting anticipating finding that prize egg.  More importantly, it was the one day of the year the entire family gathered and I will always remember those special times together.

      Our annual family egg hunt

    • Edenberrygrl

Waking up Easter morning to my basket right outside of my door.  Sunny days with Easter egg hunts! :)

    • Favorite Easter Memory was when I was little.  My family always decorated hard boiled eggs.  Well, one year, my brother sat down with a dozen “hard boiled” eggs to eat while my sister and I opened our baskets (he’s 8 years older than us)….  he got the eggs, a drink, some salt and a towel for his lap….  sat down, started to crack an egg, then realized he didn’t have anything for the shells.  So he got up, got a bag and came back to enjoy his eggs.  He then realized that he didn’t have anything to crack his eggs on… so he started to crack it on the lamp, caught my mother’s eye as he went to do it and knew he would be in trouble for cracking it on her lamp… so he cracked it on his forehead.  And guess what….  that particular egg… wasn’t hard boiled! It was hilarious!  Even more… my grandfather had just had his appendix out and saw the scene as he came out of the bathroom and was doubled over in pain and laughter!  It was a very memorable Easter!

    • Annie

When I was about 7 I developed acute cellulitis around one of my sinuses the week before Easter.  I was so sick that I nearly had to be admitted to the hospital.  I was too sick to go out and run around with my three older sisters to collect eggs.  My mom let me put on my pretty new dress and hat to take pictures with them, though, with my eye and cheek all bruised and swollen.  Afterwards, she had them cheer me on while I collected eggs in a special indoor hunt she had secretly planned just for me!  I will never forget the special way my mother showed me her love that year!!!

    • Kristin

As a kid, my birthday fell on Easter one year! I got to eat lots of candy AND have birthday cake! :)

    • Dawn Bunch

My favorite memory is getting up for Sunrise service every Sunday morning then our Church always has a Pic Picking on Easter Monday.  My other favorite memory is going to another local church who puts on an outdoor Easter drama every year

    • Amandawest79

My parents would hide real eggs in the house but they always forgot where they hid them. Eventually they would remember a few weeks when the house would start to smell.

    • MamaBearHogan

My favorite Easter memory is from when I was a child. I remember coming home from church on Easter Sunday, sitting on our couch and receiving Jesus into my heart as Lord and Savior of my life! Easter is not only special to me because my Savior is rose and is alive today, but also because on that day I came to life! <3

    • Frugalfro

It was raining Easter morning so we did our Easter egg hunt inside.  My dad had taken dust bunnies from the vacuum cleaner and left them in a trail throughout the house.  He told me it must  be the Easter Bunny’s fur!

    • Melissa

My favorite memory is hunting fo eggs with my brother

    • Candace7476

My favorite Easter memory is a few years back when we had Easter with the family at my Aunt’s house.  After we ate, I insisted on an egg hunt with the kids, and my grandmother wanted to participate.  She hunted eggs with her grandkids (most of them are young, I’m the oldest of the bunch), and it was the fastest we had all seen her move in years!  She was so happy and we were able to snap some really great pictures of her.  :)

    • rachels24

This will be Dillon’s second Easter.  He was 6 weeks old for his first Easter and we are so excited for him to find eggs with his cousins!  This will be the best Easter for us yet :)

    • April V

I loved looking for our hidden Easter baskets on Easter morning!

    • My favorite Easter memory was my stepfather making Red Snapper and potatoes for dinner and giving me a giant chocolate bunny as a gift.

    • Akamommy

As a kid, we used to go have a sunrise service at church.  It was a beautiful time and a wonderful service to be a part of each year.  After the service, we would go to eat breakfast with many of the people from church.  Those were very special times, indeed.

    • Ccpullen

My favorite Easter memories are of when I was a little girl going to church on Easter Sunday in a frilly dress and patent leather shoes. I couldn’t wait for the lunch and egg hunt afterwards. The anticipation was incredible knowing the older kids and church ladies were out there hiding eggs. We were all so tempted to spy on them but we resisted.

    • Angie

When I was 10 years old, my parents and grandmother took me to Israel. Easter Sunday we were on the plane flying back home.

After seeing where the last supper was, Golgotha and the empty tomb, Easter has never been the same since. These are real places. The events of the Bible happened. And, one day, Jesus will come again.

    • Amy

My favorite Easter memory is being with extended family and going to church.

My favorite Easter memories involve lots of family and especially my fun cousins. There was also the year that while we were at church, mom had the neighbor cover one of our small trees with lollipops! We were so surprised!!

    • Kscummins

I always liked getting up on easter and trying to find my basket. It would be my sister and me running around the house finding eggs and locating our baskets. Loved mom and dad doing that.

    • nvmommy

my favorite memory for easter was my aunt’s annual easter egg hunt in her yard and the delicious easter bread with eggs inside that the grown ups would make and give one to each kid.

    • kt

My birthday is in mid April and one year when I was little, Easter was on my birthday.  It was nice to have everyone in my family got a basket on my birthday.  Then later in the day we celebrated my birthday.  It was a great day!

Way to many to tell but Easter at Grandma’s was always special and fun with all of my cousins.

    • Laurel Esposito

My favorite easter memories is of eater morning and my om would dress me and my little brother in our easter outfits and take a picture in front of the house decorated for easter. It is funny looking back at the pictures and watching the trees grow with us.

Going to my Aunts by the beach on a beautiful Easter Sunday Taking the kids kite flying with all of singing Let’s go fly a kite, loudly and proudly.

My favorite Easter memories is when my self and 6 younger brothers and sisters would wake up on Easter morning and would get to run outside and search for our Easter basket, each one with one of our names on it and we just had to run around looking for the one with our name on it! It was just great!!

    • A_bernot

My favorite Easter memory is when the Easter Bunny hid all the eggs for my cousins and I in the back yard, and when we went to go hunt them, they were all gone!  Apparently a groundhog came and had lunch before we did!:)

    • Liz

When I was 7, I woke up and swore that I saw the Easter Bunny on my bed. It scared me to death! Twenty years later, I can still remember what that rabbit looked like: white body, big eyes, pink nose. Being a scaredy cat, I started to cry. My mother, thinking I was crying because I didn’t go to the sunrise service at church, left me in my room for about an hour. When she finally came into my room she felt horrible for leaving me. This has become a favorite family story and til this day, I say the Easter Bunny is real!

    • Knarinehart

My 2 year old hunting for eggs this year. She walks around saying “eee-eeeggs, where aaaaaaare youuuuu?” and when she finds one yells “I see one!” and runs to it. Running in her Stride Rite shoes, of course.

    • Nita in Nashville

We love these shoes because they last!

    • jacky

My favorite memory is when my oldest daughter (almost 4 years old) was able to participate in her first Easter Egg Hunt! Such an amazing moment!

    • georgiadad

I would love to be able to hunt for Easter Eggs one more time with my Grandparents.  They were great about having dozens of egg hunts just to keep the kids happy.  I also loved going to the sunrise service on top of Stone Mountain as a teenager.

    • carrie

mine is the Easter I received a huge Easter egg basket shaped like an egg but made out of string and suger (I guess it was made on a balloon and then once dry, the balloon was popped and the “egg” held it’s shape).

    • Meghan Riley816

My favorite memory is last year. My daughter was just old enough to really grasp the Easter strory and we spent all of Holy Week reading the bible, doing different arts/crafts, and doing resurrection eggs. It was probably my favorite time of last year. We both taught eachother so much.

    • Angela Lmt

cracking Cascarones (Mexican Easter Eggs) over our cousins heads after the easter egg hunt when we were kids! :)

    • Lori

      well made to last!

    • heatherzilla

My favorite Easter memory is going to my Grandmother’s, a huge family gathering of 30-40 people. All of us children would each receive a dozen eggs to decorate.  After the eggs were hidden,  we would have an egg hunt and then a huge Easter dinner.

    • Kim

I always loved looking for the eggs before church.

    • Fernfroggy

After Easter service at church all dressed in our new Easter outfits, our whole family, aunts uncles, cousins, grandparents and other extended family would meet at my grandmothers house for a huge egg hunt and lunch together. One year, my little brother who was no more than two tried to eat a catapiller during the egg hunt. He was terrified as my mom practically tackled the poor little guy to pry the catapillar out of his hands. My aunt caught the entire thing on video so it is a memory we get to enjoy watching together every year. It is always a favorite!

    • Erica

My sister and I waking up with pink foam rollers in our hair, anticipating the Easter baskets my mama had made us!

    • Nikkikosich

Easter egg hunting with all my cousins :)
This year we all have babies and are going to let them play together like we did when we were growing up

    • TWilliams

One of my favorite memories doesn’t exactly sound like an Easter memory but when I look back at the pictures, I can’t help but smile REAL big. We always have dinner at my Aunt and Uncle’s house. For whatever reason, on this particular year they had a large dirt mound in their yard. My sister and I, along with my daughter, who was about 4, played on the dirt pile. We took all sorts of cute pictures with scarves, etc. Sounds silly and it was but definitely one of my favorites!

    • Kayla

My favorite Easter memory was last Easter when we were able to celebrate with our wonderful newborn baby. Getting dressed up, going to church, and celebrating with friends and family that Christ died on the cross and was raised from the dead.

    • Alisha

When I was 6 years old I was given a bunny for Easter from a friend of the family.  I named him Hoppy and spoiled him rotten.  He would sleep in my lap on his back, feet straight up in the air.  When it was cold outside I carried him around in my coat zipped up and he would fall asleep there. He was a sweet companion. :)

    • BBTwinsMoM

Taking my twin boys to their first Easter service and someone volunteered to take a family photo in front of the church.  Kindness, family and now a treasured memento to always remember it.  Best Easter Ever!

    • Southernbellas

My favorite memories are of my daughter, niece, and  nephew running around finding eggs in the back yard of my mother in laws home … I can hear their little giggles… as they get older I will always look back and  cherish those times!

    • Emily e

Before we got a dog, the easter bunny would leave a trail of candy around the house leading to where he hid the baskets. I used to love looking for the baskets.

    • Christina

Favorite Easter memory was family dinner with my late grandmother.

    • Melissa

Waking up and trying to find my basket that was hidden by the Easter bunny!

    • Tbeaty

My favorite memory was waking up in the morning at my Grandmother’s house and seeing the Easter basket outside the door:)

    • Rmwehrle

Having Easter dinner at my grandparents house! My grandfather would hide the eggs over and over again so that the kids could keep hunting. Then everyone would come inside for a big meal. Such wonderful memories :)

    • Katef1981

While we were outside hunting for eggs, the ‘easter bunny’ would put a new easter book under our dinner plate.

    • Leigh

We still laugh at the fact that we lost one of the Easter eggs INSIDE the house. For very long month we could smell it but couldn’t find it. We knew it was around our reclining chair. So we would look under the chair and stick our hands down in the cushion but could never find it.Finally, my parents took apart the reclining chair and found it hidden in the mechanical parts of the chair. So the saying, “Lost as last year’s easter egg” rings very true in our family.

    • Vicki McCormack

Favorite Easter memory was the four years ago when my grandson was old enough to walk and I had my first “annual” Grammy’s Easter egg hunt. On my fourth one this year and now I have 6 grandsons and I had 110 stuffed eggs this year!!

    • Piphidancer

Best Easter memory is the one we are about to make with our beautiful little boy.

    • Amanda Traurig

Oh I LOVE Stride Rite shoes but I love Easter even more. Therefore, I feel like this is a sweepstake I cannot pass up.
Easters have always been full of fun memories in our house. I really feel like this year will be my favorite memory. (Am I allowed to pick this year? lol) My kiddos are 2 years old and 4 years old. This is the first year I really feel like they will “get into” all of our celebrations.
My husband is incredibly blessed to get paid a salary to plan and lead people in worshiping our Amazing Creator and Savior each week through our church. This Friday night he, and his great team, have planned a night of worship. What makes this even more incredible, the kids ministry will be doing the same things with the kiddos. Saturday we will be helping local families- as a family- and also celebrating Spring and the “new life” that we celebrate because of Jesus Christ by participating in a huge egg hunt and outdoor celebration. On Sunday, we will attend church service and as a family celebrate the resurrection of Christ through fun recipes, activities, and celebration as a family.
Wow! This is a long post. :) Every year we celebrate Easter and have a blast but this year I am excited to have two little ones who will understand and participate in the celebration more than in years past. There is no greater joy in my life than to see my children understand the things that mean the most to my husband and I. Celebrating what Christ did for us as Easter is one of those things. :)

    • Scorpiosal

I always enjoy easter Dinner with the family and getting all dress up miss that

    • Mipursell

Seeing my sons face when he realized he was able to actually open and see what was inside the easter eggs when he was younger.

    • AMH

Every year creates better memories. Last year was wonderful because it was my first year as a mommy of 2. Now this year, my daughter is old enough to understand what to do. So watching her and my son search for eggs together (we’ve had 2 events here so far) is priceless. They are 7 years apart and, to me, just perfect together. So here’s to many more wonderful years to come.

    • Thecoursons

My two favorite Easter memories are doing Easter dramas at church when I was in my late teens and twenties and also, being younger and waking up Easter morning to an Easter basket filled with goodies at the end of my bed. Charity Courson

    • Julie

Two favorites—Celebrating Resurrection Sunday with my church and hunting Easter eggs with my family!

    • Amanda M

I always smile thinking about our easter eggs hunts in the 80s. my sisters and I would hunt for the easter eggs inside because it always seemed to rain on  Easter in Dallas! My parents (and the Easter bunny) would hide dyed eggs around the playroom and invariably we wouldnt find one, which would then become a big stinky bomb later in the week!

    • b j

when my daughter was about 8, she won an Easter coloring contest at a local store.  the prize was a huge Easter basket–she was so proud as the whole family was too!

    • Whooth

Going to church with my family! I’m from Peru and we do go to Church on Easter Sunday, but we don’t have a big dinner or egg hunt afterwards…Moving to this country 13 years ago I had to experienced all of this and even though at the beginning I thought it was very commercial, now that I have 2 kids I LOOOOOOOVE seeing their faces when they go hunt for eggs and when they get their Easter baskets and of course the oh so beloved Golden Egg!

    • Luns777

When I was little, my parents would hide our Easter basket… it was SO fun to wake up Easter morning and “hunt” for our baskets before church.  Some years we even had a new dress in it to wear to church.

    • Nicole

I loved egg hunts but was terrible.  My mom usually made my sister give me some of her eggs but it was fun anyway.

    • Jennifer stallard

My favorite memory is the egg hunt at my grandparents church. Now my kids love it .

    • linda baker

The best part of Easter when I was a kid was the anticipation of the Finding the Easter basket the morning of Easter…always looking for that chocolate Easter bunny…the real chocolate one…never got real chocolate, only the wax gross ones HaHa  But I love Easter anyway and have a HAPPY EASTER!

    • Mrslmoore24

It was my grandmother’s favorite holiday and she always made so much food and such a big deal about it.

    • Lisysmom

Though I cherish all of my Easter memories I have from my childhood; I have really enjoyed all the preparations for making my daughter’s first Easter a special one.

    • Akcoolj

My grandfather raised 300 chickens as pets& for show ! Easter was a huge deal as a child. We would go gather all the tiny chicken eggs from the nest and my grandmother would boil them. My grandfather would sit at the table with us to help color the eggs. We always had a huge hunt after with a prize egg in foil. I remember one year they put it in a huge pile of pine needles and all us kids got so dirty rummaging through looking for the prize egg.  My grandfather is no longer with us but every year I think about him when I color eggs with my daughter & son.

    • Jennifer

My parents always made us pose for pictures with Mama on Easter morning.  It was always hot and sweaty in south Georgia, but, o, how I love those pictures nowadays!

    • Courtney Phillips

      deviled eggs!

    • Jennywalker

My favorite easter memory was watching my daughter, 1 1/2 years old, super exciting and opening up and eating everything inside until moving on!

    • H_wrenn

We were hiding eggs and the kids were inside waiting. My husband told them we were done so they came running. My son was first and didn’t notice the screen was shut– he ran right through it, making the screen come off the frame. He was so upset that he broke the door he couldn’t look for eggs for a few minutes. It was pretty funny (he didn’t get hurt at all)!

My favorite memory was the first Easter I celebrated after knowing & understanding what Jesus did for me on the cross.

    • Linda

My favorite Easter memory just came this year.  It was the first year that my girls (6,4, & 3) could tell me the Easter story, using the Resurrection Eggs we made.

    • Kay

My favorite memories are worshiping together as a family at our church, eating a huge family lunch with wonderful vegetables, and having an Easter egg hunt with cousins.

    • Jenniferlynnkovach

Our annual family picture with the man in the creepy bunny costume.

    • Buell_gal

My favorite Easter memory is watching my (then) 4yr old passing all the other eggs to find the gold one….because I told him there was something extra special in those….needless to say, he came back with NONE!

    • Teri

The smell of the special Easter bread baking in the house as we hunted the eggs left by the Easter Bunny!

    • Aspradlin24

    • Hnccorn9

Watching the children at church, in their new Easter outifts, hunting for the eggs that the church members hid earlier.  This year will be extra special as my daughter gets to join in on the fun.  I cannot wait!

    • Jenn3299

My favorite memory is waking up really early as a child to go to sunrise service at church.  The church was full of lilies & smelled wonderful.  Then during the service, you could see the sun rise through the beautiful stained glass windows.

    • Shannon V.

My mom used to have mini chocolate egg hunts in the formal living room/dining room. Always fun to hunt those! I plan on doing that with my girls when they are bigger.

    • Michelle

Being with family and having a good time together.

    • Amber

My favorite memory is when I took my son to our city’s community egg hunt for the fist time. He was 15 months old and I wasn’t even sure he would know what to do, but he ran right out and grabbed the prize egg. He got his photo in the newspaper, I was so proud.

    • Everette3

I put my son’s Easter basket in the refrigerator so the chocolate wouldn’t melt. Prior to doing this, I took out the black jelly beans and put them aside in a bowl on the counter. When my son woke up and saw the black ones, he said, “Is this all the Easter bunny left me?” I’ll always remember that one.

    • Melissa

Our first Easter Egg hunt with our little one and I didn’t think to not put chocolate in the Easter eggs and she opened them to find a muddy mess.

    • RHondahawes

The Lord saved me and my husband in 2006 and we were married on January 1, 2007. Celebrating the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ in 2007 is a memory I’ll cherish always! Nothing compares to the joy of knowing Jesus!

    • My favorite Easter was just last year!  Even though Caden (my youngest of 2  boys) was only 2 months old, it was a wonderful celebration. We actually traveled out of state and spent it with family (in Ohio). We had been away for a few days before the long drive to Ohio. We had just come home from a major hospital in Boston for my little guy. He was born with a rare eye disease and we had received the horrible news that he was completely blind in his left eye and would need the eye removed! He was only 2 months old at the time. Although it was awful news, It was GREAT to have my family surrounding us on Easter morning!  I will never forget the support we had. The Easter bunny came and left the kids their baskets, The joy on my 3 year old’s face was amazing. That is the day I realized how much we had to be grateful for! We truly are so blessed to have 2 wonderful boys and even though we have been through a lot with Caden, we are so lucky to have them both, just the way they are! I can’t wait to see the excitement on their faces this year!!

    • Jacquelinefendley

My favorite Easter memory is hanging plastic Easter eggs all over our small front yard tree with my dad. We did it every year. Now, I do this with my little girls. It’s become a simple little tradition.

As a child, finding my Easter basket on the table filled with all white chocolate goodies….I’m allergic to dark. I couldn’t believe the Easter Bunny knew ;)

    • Kristy

My favorite Easter memory was waking up on Easter morning and trying to find my hidden Easter basket.  The Easter bunny always hid them in very funny places around the house.  I can’t wait to do that same tradition with my daughter.  It was so much fun!

    • Sharon M

My favorite Easter memory is egg hunting with my children at the park several years ago.  My daughter was only 2 years old at the time and I had to hold her back by her dress until the egg hunt started!  She was so excited to start grabbing at all the treat-filled eggs on the ground that she could hardly contain herself!

    • Jenny

My favorite Easter memory was when the 3 little sparrow eggs “nesting” in my hanging Geranium baskets hatched early Easter morning….what a sweet, visual display of victorious lIfe!

    • Alice Mc

Many, Many years ago, I decided to “Save” a beautifully colored Easter Egg (It was a REAL hard boiled egg).  I put it in my drawer, under some clothes so that no one would find it!!??  Needless to say, many days later (or weeks) my mom kept smelling an awefull stench coming from my room and was horified to find my “Not so pretty” Easter egg!!!

    • Bamababyrn

    • Lane

Growing up, my family had the Easter Bunny visit. One year, I was very sick with a high fever. Neither I, nor my parents realized it at the time, but I “saw” the bunny thanks to a fever-induced halucination that year!

    • cliff smith

my favorite memory, was getting and getting dressed up to go to easter service and then the big easter egg hunt, trying to find the golden egg, and then all the family coming over and eating like it was thanksgiving , with the ham and the devied eggs,,, ummm

    • Lindsay

My favorite Easter memory so far was three when my daughter was 15 months old. I bought her a ridiculously frilly little shorts outfit, but since we lived in Alaska at the time I had to layer it with long-sleeved onesies, tights, and socks. She still looked adorable, though! :)

    • Jeslgs

When I was 5 years old, it was so cold that I wore my rabbit fur coat to church!

    • Kristinadelano

I loved coloring eggs with my dad and then going to church in the morning. Easter was one of my favorite holidays when my father was alive.

    • Canders276

When growing up there were 5 grandchildren that lived close together (2 boys & 3 girls). I was the oldest and I can remember around age 12 my mom and grandmother made matching Easter outfitts for all of us. We all had navy blue sailer style outfits. We shared a family day of egg hunting, eating, and being around each other. Now some 20+ years later I try to do the same with my children.

    • Every Easter, after church, our entire family plays a game of football on my grandmother’s lawn. She, of course was always the quarterback :) Those games are always my favorite memories of Easter together with my family.

    • Edavis_88

My favorite easter memory was one year my dad hid the prize egg between 2 stacked chairs I reached in to get but once I grabbed the egg my hand would no longer come out but rather than letting go I just screamed hysterically that I was stuck. I wasnt such a smart kid. Lol All my dad could do was laugh.

    • Jerri Moore

My favorite easter memory is the first year I was old enough to turn the tables on my parents and have THEM wake up to a surprise instead of me.  I made breakfast, colored eggs, decorated baskets, etc.. and had it all layed out when the woke up on Easter morning.

We would place the flowers on the cross, have service and then everyone in the church would have breakfast together. Once we were finished my mom would take pictures of my sister and me by the cross. Now 34 years later my hubby, son and I continue the tradition at the same church I grew up and were my son was baptized 3 years ago on Easter Sunday.

    • Kelli Campbell

I think last year will be one of my favorite Easter memories. My son was 3 months old, and several family members were seeing him for the first time. We have some sweet pictures of him with his grandfather, who just passed away last month from pancreatic cancer. I’m so thankful we have these pictures so my son can see how much he was loved by his Papa.

    • Julieuhroberts

Well…we ALWAYS went to my grandmother’s house and I hunted eggs in the pink crocheted basket she made me.  This particular year my older cousins hid my chocolate bunny on top of the fridge…which I couldn’t reach..and I cried, of course.  Granny took care of it and got it for me.  May seem strange to be a favorite memory, but I laugh now thinking about me acting  nuts over that bunny…and thankful for my sweet granny who saved me!

    • Ashleysah25

My favorite was one year when the kids woke up and found their Easter baskets they were thrown all over the floor and they woke me up by saying someone broke in and tried to steal their Easter baskets hahaha. The dog knocked them down and rumbled thru them thinking their was something good to eat but I went along with the kids story it was better!

    • Sharon K

When I was 6 or 7, my parents hid foil wrapped chocolate easter eggs around the house for an easter egg hunt.   I remember filling my basket and setting it on the coffee table in the living room during easter brunch.  Turns out, our pug had an easter feast of her own – by eating all my chocolate covered eggs – foil and all!   Luckily the chocolate didn’t harm her!

    • Krystine24

My daughter’s first Easter she was not quite 3 weeks old. I put her in her Easter basket to take some pics and she fell fast asleep. This year Easter arrives just after her 1st birthday and she is toddling around proudly with that same basket. I treasure those memories of her very first Easter and can’t believe how tiny she was!

    • lreedy

I remember the year my oldest daughter was 5 and my nephew was 2 1/2. It was the first time they could celebrate Easter together so my Sister and I had a great time buying them things to make an Easter basket. We didn’t realize how much we were each, separately, buying so when we put our stuff together and made their baskets, they were really big, much larger than we had planned, as tall as my nephew! We laugh about it now. :)

    • Skywatcher3884

Every  Easter my family and I would go to my granny’s house and hunt eggs in her back yard.  I remember the year I found both prize eggs! (The ones with the money in them).  I also remember that granny always made mac-n-cheese (kraft from the box) and it would sit so long it was cold by the time it was served.  I don’t know why, just that cold mac-n-cheese was the best ever and I’ve never been able to duplicate it.

    • Jennifer

Favorite Easter memory was last year when we found out a week before Easter that we were going to have another girl. We decided to keep it a secret from our family until Easter.  My 4 year old daughter, my husband and I baked a pink cake with white icing.  Everyone in the family thought we were having a boy.  When our family cut into it they saw the pink cake and it was a girl.  Very exciting!

    • Kikercasey

My son’s first Easter. We came home from church and had a picnic lunch in our backyard. Then we took pictures of him in his little suit in front of our jasmine vines. Very special day.

I love Easter every year. We always celebrate with decorating eggs, baking easter cookies and bunny cakes, Easter baskets full of goodies for the kids, new dress clothes for church that day, dinner for the whole family at our home, and a egg hunt. Many of my favorite pics of my kids are from Easter.

    • amanda

Growing up, the Easter Bunny always rang the doorbell and we ran to open the door to get a peek at him.  Of course, he was always gone by the time we got to the door, but our disappointment was short lived since we got to enjoy the baskets he left.  I’ve carried on this tradition with my children and I love to watch their faces when they hear the doorbell on Easter morning!

Easter lunch and egg hunt at my aunt’s house every year with all the family.

    • Amypturner

Easter Sundays as a child were fantastic for me.  We always got up extremely early to go to a sunrise service, and while I enjoyed the early service, I looked forward to going out for breakfast afterwards.  I always got a ham or sausage biscuit, and then my family would hurry home to dress for church.  Mom always made (sewed) my Easter dresses, so I always had something new to wear.  But the memory that stands out for me actually only happened a few years ago.  My husband and I were in a new town and attending a new church, and we got up to go to the sunrise service.  Based on my experience with sunrise services as a child, I assured my husband that no one ever dressed up for these early services, and that sweats or t-shirts and jeans and, for me, no makeup, would be totally appropriate.  I almost had a panic attack when we arrived, the most underdressed couple amid a congregation of already dressed-up and made-up worshippers!  How embarrassing!

    • Jodi dexter

Blowing the yokes out of our easter eggs before we dyed them. It was a lot of work, but the end results was a life time of egg decorations.

Easter service at church every year then a wonderful Easter lunch with the family.

    • Couponeagle11

My favorite Easter was when I about 9 or 10 and my grandmother was still living. We would go about 15-20 of us out to a small country church down a dirt road called oak grove in mississippi. We would play hide and seek in the church, while the parents hid eggs outside and then me and my cousings and brother would go hunt eggs. My grandmother would pick up fried chicken and make sides and we would spend the day with her. Now we are all grown and no one goes out there anymore. My grandmother has passed and is buried in the little family cemetary across the dirt from the church. I think our favorite part was spending the day with grandma andriding on the front of her old cadillac watching beautiful scenes and reminisg

one of my funniest and favorite memories was when I was a kid and the easter bunny didn’t leave my basket in it’s normal place in the living room. I panicked, and when my mom woke up and realized what had happened, she told me to look in the laundry room and when it still wasn’t there, she said oh look it’s in the bathroom. the easter bunny must have eaten too many jellly beans!

    • K.

Every year our church has service in the park and our family sticks around afterwards and has a picnic.  It is always a great time with family enjoying God’s wonderful creation.  And of course it wouldn’t be Easter without my mom making the lamb cake!!

    • Valerie

My favorite would be watching my son get excited hunting eggs at my parents house with his cousins!

    • piehoop

I always loved our family Easter egg hunts as a child.  Always hoped I would be the one to find the “golden egg” each year (a egg that had money in it).

    • CouponKristi

I remember the first time I saw the Easter Bunny. I wasn’t one of those kids that cried the whole time, and my mom has kept the picture of that moment in her wallet for over 20 years. Now that I have my own son, who is handicap, I carry a picture of him in my wallet at Easter (the only picture in my wallet).

    • Donna

It has to be 6th grade when I wore what I thought was the most grown up hat – when I think about it now I suppose I looked ridiculous, sort of like a pony with a horse’s hat.  My Mom tried to steer me away from my choice but I was to stupid to listen to her.  Everyone who saw me was very gracious but in hindsight (45 years later), I realize that I was a dope and people were being kind.  – Do y’all remember when people were genuinely kind to each other.

    • KLedford

Easter has always been one of my favorites, but it became more of a special time for me two years ago when, on Easter morning, we found out that we were going to be blessed with a child.  We had hit road blocks and had troubles getting pregnant for over a year and a half with doctors even telling us that it possible at that point.  God is always faithful and could not have reminded us more of His faithfulness and mercy than on that particular Easter Sunday.  Knowing what we had overcome through our Lord made our Sunday worship service even more special that morning.  Although my pregnancy had some rocky points, God remained right with us and we now have a 16 month old who is a healthy, happy girl!  Easter was always special because of the true meaning, but I now have such a special memory of our Easter two years ago.

    • Ashlee Taylor

My favorite Easter memory is going to the Sunrise Service at church every year. For several years, we had it outside on the front lawn and it was beautiful! Celebrating the real reason for Easter and enjoying the sunrise! The breakfast with friends & family afterwards was always great too! :)

My favorite memory is when my oldest daughter, who is amost 9 now, came out of her bedroom on Easter morning when she was 2. She was so excited to awaken to Easter eggs, that she ran in to wake up her brother screaming, “Jimmy, the Easter bunny pooped eggs everywhere!”

My favorite Easter memory was going to sunrise Easter service at church every year with my mom and sister. It was always exciting to know that we were going to church that morning because Jesus had risen from the grave and is alive! I love Easter because it reminds me of the joy we have every day for those who know and love Jesus. I also enjoyed eating breakfast with my family after the sunrise service. They would cook country ham, biscuits, grits, toast, sausage. The food was delicious.

One that stands out in my mind was when my oldest daughter (now 14) was 13 months old.  I can see her in the yard, basket over her arm, sunshine lighting up her blonde curls, squealing in pure delight over every. single. egg.  Precious memory!

    • Tnt82994

Wow to pick one favorite Easter memory is hard.  Growing up, I remember sitting in the corner of my Grandmother’s dining room with my cousins, trading out the candy in our baskets.  That was always so much fun.  As a mom and an aunt…last year watching my niece with her baby cousin hunting eggs together.

    • Sweetk3346

My favorite Easter memory happened when I was about 5 years old, my cousins and I took a picture on my grandmother’s couch. We all had on matching dresses and looked like pincushions.

When I was young my entire family would get together and all of my cousins and I would have an Easter egg hunt.  It was so much fun to see who could collect the most.  My grandma always hid one gold egg and she would give $20 to whoever found it.

My favorite Easter memory so far would have to be this year. My son telling me he learned about Easter at his Christian preschool, about how Jesus died on the cross for our sins. It really touched my heart, its SOOO important to remember the real meaning, and not focus on the candy and easter bunny.

I have got a picture of me , sis Helen and little brother Dennis(he has been deceased since 1996). I was the oldest, Helen 18 months younger than I, and Dennis, 18 months younger than Helen. Anyway the  Easter pic is of the three of us dressed up. Most beautiful pic of us in the 1960″s….it is so nostalgic when I look at this photo. Little brother stays alive in my heart, always…if you have ever lost a loved one, Easter will bring back all your precious memories….we are all dressed up as we share a rare photo…we had come back from church and posed in front of our NYC apartment building…

Sadly 28 yrs ago on Good Friday my father took his life as he was depressed after retiring and feeling a financial crisis. Our family gathered and felt we needed to try to go on with our Easter celebration. We had a somewhat solemn day but as it turned out it was one of our best Easters together ever. We decided to hold an Easter egg hunt for the children and then I said why not do one for the adults (who really needed cheering up) and so we did and it was so much fun. I know our father would have loved that we were continuing with Easter dinner with the family…. an Easter I will always remember ;)

    • Alisa

My favorite Easter memory is of getting to wear white gloves and carry my new patent leather purse filled with a few basket goodies.

    • BMom

I loved the days as a child getting up early on Easter morning to drive to the country to go to church with extended family. After church we would go to my grandmothers house. We would have lots of food to choose from for lunch then we would gather up all the Easter eggs and the men would go hide the eggs as the mom’s kept the kids inside and tried to keep them from sneaking a peak.
They were day fulled with food, family and fun as we celebrated the risen Savior!

    • My favorite Easter memory is my son’s first Easter. Watching him running around looking for eggs was really fun and cute

In our family we don’t celebrate the american influenced or societal norm holiday. We are solid Christians but pls understand that we are works in the progress as many real believers will admit ;). One of my most fondest memories is sitting with one of our bible study groups watching the Passion of the Christ and sharing prayers, tears and just the utter amazement presented b4 our eyes through this movie. The LOVE that was displayed (although a movie but so well done) always leaves me speechless. It fires us up to be a better witness and servant for those who need to know that this holiday is not about a bunny or colored eggs. Without compromise we fight for the True Risen Savior :) blessings to you all.

    • Mickey K

Last year for Easter, we had pictures taken and the photographer used a real bunny. Well… the bunny kept leaving little brown droplets… my four year old thought it was hilarious!  Needless to say, it was almost impossible to get him to sit still with the pooping bunny and all the giggles!

    • Ashleighallman

My grandpa would always quarters in one of the plastic easter eggs.  There were 13 grandkids and we would all be hunting for that very special easter egg!

    • Krista

My mom hiding typed clues to follow to find the easter baskets and the year my husband tried to do that for me but put the easter basket in the backyard and we ran out of time and had to go to mass before the hunt was over. By the time we got back, it had gotten sunny and the chocolate rabbit was toast!

    • Luci

At an Easter egg hunt at the city park many years ago, I was a lot slower than the bigger kids but I did find a nice amount of eggs. There was a kid about my age who was having trouble finding any eggs and was holding an empty basket. I asked him to close his eyes while I took out some of my eggs and rehid them. It was so exciting to see him happier.

One year we were having an Easter egg hunt at my grandparents’ house.  One of the adults thought the tailpipe of G’ma and G’pa’s van was the PERFECT hiding place for an egg, but naturally, we couldn’t get it out.  So someone had to start the car and it shot out of the tailpipe!  :)

Easter 2010 was my best one. The wonderful memory of my little cousin months before being diagnosed with cancer will forever be cherished. My whole family together, including my grandfather. No worries that day. So happy and completely blessed spending a beautiful day with my wonderful family! I know this will be Papa Don and Jordan’s most amazing Easter imaginable, but it’s still hard for us down here because we miss them so much! It helps to think about the fact that they are together in HIS kingdom to celebrate!!!!

    • Tonyahall_2011

My favorite Easter memory was when I was a child. We always went to my great-grandmother’s house after Sunday morning service. I remember being so excited to show my Gram my new Easter bonnet, dress, and shoes. She always had a way of making you feel like you were the most special girl in the whole wide world. I can still hear my momma say ” no cookies before lunch, it’ll spoil your appetite”. As soon as mom would leave the room, my gram was already pulling the butter cookies out of the cabinet. “Shhh, don’t tell your momma, she’d whisper as she gave me free reign on the box of cookies. I was already busy trying to slide as many cookies on my fingers as my little chubby fingers would hold. They were my golden rings from my special grandmother. I ran across a picture of gram the other day, and wouldn’t you know, there I was with Easter bonnet, dress, and shoes…and a butter cookie ring on my finger.

My favorite Easter memory was the year that my dad couldn’t remembe where he hid all of the eggs nor did he know how many he hid. Needless to say, we found one in a cereal box several days later! (Oh that smell!) There went the whole box of cereal.

My favorite memory is when I was six.My parents brought me to the department store to take our annual Easter picture. It was the first year i recognized there was a person inside that “Bunny”. I, so proudly, innocently and loudly had to make my parents aware of that. Looking back It was probably embarrassing for them but, I thought at the time, I helped them see a big secret.

My favorite Easter memory is seeing my little boy find his Easter basket for the first time.

    • Chbucchino

Aside from the fun of Easter with my children every year, I loved the year my parents took me camping on Easter weekend! The Easter Bunny hid eggs at the campsite and left a great basket on our picnic table! I plan on taking my own kids on the same adventure one day!!

    • RebeccaFer

I was the youngest of four children. Since my sister was too old (16) to be excited for Easter, I decided to find her basket. I brought it up to her very dark bedroom since she slept until noon. I gently placed it next to her head so when she awoke, she would be able to devour all the goodies. Four hours later, my sister stood at the top of the stairs, screaming my name … with a chocolate covered, marshmallow bunny plastered to the side of her face! Lol.

    • Snowbirdkc54

My favorite Easter memory was my beautiful blue silk taffeta dress! It was sleeveless and had a blue flower gracing the waist line. My mother passed it over in the store in favor of a more “practical ” Easter dress. My 10 year old heart was broken! When we returned home and I described that dress to daddy, he quietly said to mama, ” why don’t you go ahead and buy her the dress? ” And she did! Thank you for the opportunity to win a pair of stride rite shoes for my grandson.

My favorite Easter memory is a gift that my grandmother gave me when I was eight years old.  She gave me and her three other grandchildren brand new Easter stuffed bunnies. It was and still is my favorite stuffed animal. The bunny was dressed in a beautiful white gown with a pink hair bow and matching bunny slippers. Now over 23 years later I still have my precious Easter bunny which my daughter loves just as much as I did when I was a little girl.

I have always loved Easter with my family. My Mom always made it special. My favorite memory was when I woke up with a massive stuffed pig (I loved pigs growing up) staring me in the face and I almost had a heart attack!  I quickly realized it was from the “Easter Bunny” and now my son sleeps with it in his bed:)

I have so many fond memories of Easter!  Mostly, I love my family gathering and sharing a special meal on Easter Sunday.  And getting all dressed up for church on Easter Sunday and afterwards going easter egg hunting.

    • Jesstopher

My favorite Easter memory is going to the military base with my mom to have Sunrise Service on Easter morning. The people and the scenery really made it an amazing experience.

    • Majones2412

My favorite Easter memory is the scavenger hunt my parents always sent me on to find my Easter basket. The funny thing is…they still do this for my family to this day…sneaking into our house while we’re out somewhere and leaving clues and small presents all over the place!

    • Malsuwaidi24

My favorite Easter memory was when I was eight years old.  My mom brought home my first “poofy” Easter dress for church.  It “swished” when I turned around!  Our church had an old fashioned Easter celebration that year. We had a picnic dinner on the grounds, (complete with gingham picnic baskets) an Easter egg hunt with only real eggs, and we picked flowers to flower the big wooden cross.  Its was the picture perfect celebration, and I will treasure that memory forever.

    • Madeline

My favorite memory was a treasure hunt the “Easter Bunny” created for me, and at the end I found a coloring book in the oven.

My favorite Easter memory is from when I was about 5 years old.  My picture was in my small hometown paper.  I had on my brand new Easter dress, complete with new white patent leather shoes.  I was holding my Easter basket.  I thought it was so cool for my picture to be in the paper!

    • Laura

Taking the first bite of that Cadbury egg on Easter morning, then looking under the grass in my basket for a special small toy!

    • Chrissikimball

I used to love going easter egg hunting and waking up and seeing all the yummy candy from the easter bunny

    • Mickey

My favorite memory is seeing my girls and their cousins all dressed up running all around looking for easter eggs. Easter is a wonderful day for our family to celebrate our risen Lord.

    • Rosicantrell

My mother didn’t buy Easter baskets, just grass and goodies.  She would hide the “nest” filled with the goodies somewhere around the house.  I can remember waking up early and hunting for my Easter “basket,”  trying not to wake my parents, since we weren’t allowed to look for them until everyone was awake!

    • jenb

The look on my chocolate-loving mom’s face on Easter morning when I told her the Easter Bunny had hidden something under her bed!

    • Mirandacooke86

Last year going to lunch with family, then to a local park for an egg hunt.  The kids loved it.

    • alg

Easter Sunday lunch with my whole family – talking and what we got in our Easter basket and dressed in the most perfect smocked southern clothing and feeling the love of Jesus!

    • Rachel Hood

When I was about 8 yrs old our family did not have alot. We were a young family and thats how it was. Easter was a big deal for the girls, not the candy but the dressing up for church! I wanted a pink frilly dress so bad I even dreamed about it. We couldn’t afford it so I was going to wear a dress I wore every Sunday. I was disappointed but I never said anything. We woke up Sunday morning and ran to our Easter baskets and there, next to my basket, was the most beautiful dress I had ever laid eyes on. PINK…FRILLY, everything I could have dreamed of. And next to it were a pair of clear “jelly shoes”, they were the fad of the times! I had tears running down my face of pure joy and thankfulness! I felt like Cinderella, glass slippers and all! And that is my most memorable Easter!

    • Moulder947

My favorite Easter Memory so far was two years ago I was pregnant with my son, my daughter Macie was 5, we were are the beach on vacation. We kept teasing Macie that the Easter Bunny may not come if he did not know she was on vacation and not at home. Early Easter Morning Macie sat up in the bed, looked on the floor to see the trail of eggs, when she did not see the trail of eggs. She laid back doan and said. Oh well guess the EWaster Bunny did not come.

    • Teshiaflynn

My favorite Easter was probably 12-13 years ago. All of the family came to my grandparents house for a huge dinner it was so good. This was one of the last holidays we were all together.

    • Hb4e

There’s a great picture of my brother and I waking up at the crack of dawn looking at our easter baskets full of all sorts of goodies – yummy!  The best part is seeing the old sponge curlers my mother made me wear at night to get my hair curly.  I showed my daughter the picture the other day than she looked to my mom and said, why did you make her do that.  Fun!

    • Dixiez718

My favorite Easter memory is finding the “golden” egg during the egg hunt and opening it to find loads of candy inside!

    • michelle

My younger sister and I got two baby ducks for Easter when we were about 6 and 4….. I can still picture them in our big cooler swimming ! I think I played with them for weeks straight without blinking!!! We raised them until they got big and then we had to set them free… My mother took all of us to my Grandmother’s house( which was on a lake) and  I remember watching them as they swam away. Every time I see ducks, it brings me back to that Easter morning and the day that I had to learn that if you love something, sometimes you have to set it free.

    • Daymonamie

I remember as a child wanting a bunny SO bad!  My first grade teacher had some she brought to school.  They were $5 each.  I begged my parents for one.  Then on Easter Morning, there was a note and $5 for me to buy my bunny!  I was so excited!

    • Ctowns812

I loved Easter egg hunts at a particular relative’s house.  She always had money in the eggs and no candy!

    • liz23407

My favorite Easter memory is the big family egg hunt. As my extended family keeps growing, adding several new babies each year, the egg hunt gets more and more exciting!

    • Dhart04

I remember being a little girl and being so excited about hunting eggs!  I still get excited now when my kids are the ones hunting them.

    • Jean

I was the only girl and loved playing football with the boys and hunting easter eggs. We always had the golden egg with $20!

    • Crystal

I remember having to hunt our Easter eggs in snow one year, my sister and I LOVED it. . .I can’t believe the Easter Bunny hid them outside in such weather : )

    • Stacymwiley

    • Heather Allen2003

Hunting eggs with my grandmother :)

    • Cnjwomack

I remember going to see my mom @ work in my Easter dress that she made for me (smocked of course!) She was a nurse in labor and delivery. I loved hearing about the women having a “Easter baby”! Oddly enough I’m a nurse in labor and delivery and have to work this Sunday. Hope my husband will bring my girl by so I can see her in the dress my mom made for her!

    • Pollard1184

I will always remember the year that my mom made her own riddle hunt that had us finding clues all over the house and ended with an easter gift hidden under our beds.

    • Sashascoleman

I was four and the Easter Bunny brought me baby ducks.  They were so cute.  Totally impractical, but adorable.  Will never forget…

    • W_bouton

When my husband and I hide eggs for our kids each year, we fill the plastic eggs w/ pennies. The kids seem to be even more excited to find $ than candy.Plus, we save a considerable amount on not buying so much candy. But the story doesn’t end there. We can’t have Easter with NO candy. The Easter Bunny visits and leaves them baskets full of their favorite candy the next morning.

    • Jaymee024

Coloring eggs with our little girl for the first time. She was just 4 months old so we did the coloring but it was a great memory.

    • Tammyla

my grandmother would buy me a new easter dress every year until i was probrobably a teenager.  i still love to get a new dress each year, although it doesn’t always happen.

    • Teachgr1st

My favorite Easter memory was wearing our matching new Easter clothes and sparkling new shoes to church at sunrise every Easter Sunday.  It was fun to be wearing new things while watching the sun come up with the promise of a brand new day!

    • Mercedes

My daughter’s first Easter has to be my favorite memory. She was almost a year and found the most beautiful deep blue Easter egg. She proceeded to try and eat it. The best part was her mouth was blue the remainder of the day. It was great!

    • Lorien

My daughter’s first Easter. It was so much fun watching her find the eggs and the excitment on her face. Being she was the first grandchild and my first child it was a great spectical of the whole family. It brought us all back to our childhood. It was an absoultely perfect day along with dinner at grandma’s.

    • Rsouthern08

Last Easter has to be my favorite memory! I have 2 little girls, at the time one was 4 and the other was 1. The oldest was right at the age where she finally understood the concept of the “egg hunt” and was the oldest of the 3 kids on the hunt so she was on the prowl! My youngest had her uncle Kyle helping her, and though it was quite funny that she was finding eggs around the yard. So she would walk, he would point one out, she would look, stop and laugh a deep belly laugh, then pick it up and move on. It was so funny I could barely hold back the tears!

    • Monica

My favorite Easter memory is saying my speech on Sunday morning!

    • Sara

When I was about 7, I saw the Easter bunny outside my aunt’s window.  It was only years later that I found out it was her neighbor dressed up as the bunny.

    • when I was a kid my mom used to sew for people and she made us matching long (to the floor) dresses with the empire waist, her sleeves were straight and mine had a poof at the shoulders then were straight, mine also had a bow in the back (make out of the same material).  They were made out of this raised polyester print material. wow, 35+ yrs ago. and everyone at church wore hats that day to church

    • Amber

Easter of 2011 was very special for me. My son starting walking that day! We have pictures of him dressed in his Easter suit walking around my grandparents front yard! Priceless!!

    • Dana

When I was little, I loved dyeing eggs then going on an egg hunt with my sisters and all of our cousins….finding money in some of the eggs was huge for us!

    • Ram_z99

I just finished letting my 6yr ol and 7 yr old boys dye their easter eggs… only to find out they were not hard-boiled enough inside when they cracked one open to eat it!  Back into the pot all those colorful eggs went, boiled another 15 minutes until definately done and all the color boiled off as well.  Boys got to re-color the eggs all over again – Best Easter ever!

    • Katy

My favorite Easter memory was actually last year when my 1 year old son hunted eggs for the first time. He was so delighted each time he found an egg and it was so great to watch him have fun!

    • M_lee55

In the neighborhood were I grew up, we would do a huge Easter egg hunt and I always loved to find the plastic eggs with the $$ inside. It was only change or $1 dollar bill, but that was HUGE 20 years ago. WOW!

    • Amanda

My favorite easter memory is from last year when my 2 year old went to her first easter egg hunt.  She was so excited and had a great time.  Such a happy day!

    • Tiffany

My favorite Easter memory is from when I was in junior high and put together a Bible verse scavenger hunt for the little kids.  It was so much fun to search for the verses and then help the kids read the verses and find the next hidden egg with the clue.  I can’t wait to do this with my kids once they are a little older.

    • Ssaying Easter Speeches in church is my favorite memory

    • Reca

Favorite memory comes from this Easter season since my daughter was old enough to understand the hunt process for the first time.  I giggle every time I remember how she picked up an egg, shook it, didn’t hear anything and put it back rather than putting it in her basket.  She’s clearly a quick learner.

    • Onemorecoupon

The year we found all but one egg.  However after it started to smell, it was found (in the closet).  This is only topped by my son finding an egg in a bush just the other day – egg was from last easter!

    • Cyndimac0419

having young children has made the last couple of Easters special.  I love watching them hunt for eggs and get so excited when they open them and see what’s inside!

    • Mclaurinlove

Our Lord Jesus Christ Has Risen!! Without this, there would be no Easter!! Thank you for all your help finding deals.. Your website has truly blessed our family…

    • Jessica F.

Growing up in a mexican culture we did things a little different.  For easter, we camped out the night before in a park by a creek to get a great spot for the next day.  As my parents, granparents, aunts and uncles slow cooked the brisket on the grill,  all the cousins explored our surroundings and only came back when it was time to eat.  Of course, the biggest highlight was to crack “cascarones” on each others head, but watch out for some, as they hid other than confetti in them.  Is that flour and glitter in your hair? LOL!

    • Naomi M

My favorite Easter memory was going to church all dressed up in new clothes.

    • Kkpitts

My favorite Easter memory comes from Easter of 2004. On that Easter, I told my husband that we were expecting our first child! I made him an Easter basket filled with baby items and new Daddy essentials. It was one of the happiest days and certainly my favorite Easter memory!

Walking in the Easter Parade wearing my white patent shoes.

    • My favorite Easter memory was when I saw the Easter bunny. I was 8 years old and my dad delivered papers very early in the morning. On rare occasions, such as that Easter, we got to go with him. We helped bag the paper and hand it to him to throw. We always had so much fun doing it. When we returned home at daylight there was a white bunny hopping around by my window. A pure white bunny just out in the wild running around. He looked right at us and froze for a minute then just hopped off and disappeared. Of course it had to be the Easter bunny leaving me my basket and hiding eggs. It was just the highlight to a fun morning and one memory of many memories I will not forget.

I remember visiting my grandparents for Easter and being so excited to wake up to find that the Easter bunny found us even though we were away from home.:)

    • Homecookedhealthy

LOVE these shoes for my kiddo.  My favorite Easter memory is I was about 6 years old.  There was an Easter Egg hunt at our little country church.  All of the kids went at once so of course the older children got most of the eggs.  But I saw one sittle in the branch of a tree, just too short to reach it. I’ll never forget how one of the older kids reached up and got it just for me.

    • Deloras

One of my favorite Easter memories is when I was a little girl and my entire family on my Dad’s side would celebrate Easter at the river.  WeE would take all the Easter trimmings, eat, play games, hunt eggs and take a swim in the very frigid water.  What I would give to go back for just a moment in time?

My favorite Easter memory: My parents were divorced and rotated Easters. The first year my dad had us, he had to go on a business trip so we had to stay with my grandparents. I was so worried that the Easter bunny wouldn’t be able to find that I cried. When I woke up on Easter morning I had two baskets, my granny bought me one to make sure I got one. My father passed away the year before kast and now my granny has dementia, but I forever have that memory.

They are ready to strip off their cute clothes and change into play clothes, eat candy and hunt for eggs. We have a big meal with family (16 cousins to play with) and spend the day together. Wonderful memories!!
