Went to the Cleveland, Tn Target tonight. The only thing I had was 4 Up&Up hand soaps. I handed the cashier 4 valid Up&Up coupons. Cashier told me that you can only use 1 coupon per customer per item per day. She said I could buy all 4 but only use 1 coupon. I told her I’ve shopped at Target before and never had anyone tell me that and she said sorry. Has anyone else had this problem before? Is this Target’s new policy? If so, won’t be shopping at Target anymore.

I have had them do this to me before…luckily, my husband was with me and they just pushed it through instead of taking off items and making him go to different line. But, yes, I have gotten this a few different times.

      • guest

I had same problem before. I moved to another cashier then I was able to use 4 like tg coupons without any problem. It depends on cashier….. not store i guess….. don’t give up!
I know tg coupon say limit 1 coupon 1 person but some cashier will accept it.

      • I have had several issues in using both Target coupons and mfg. coupons at our local Target store. The store manager told me that I was only allowed to use 1 Target coupon per different item per day and no more than 4 alike mfg coupons on the same item per day. This totally goes against what the corporate office told me when I called to complain about employees not following coupon protocol. They stated that a customer can use up to 4 like coupons both Target & mfg. per item per day. Anyhow, the manager cocked an attitude with me, so I cocked one right back to him and reminded him of what corporate had said. I told him if he liked, I would personally call corporate right then and there and he could talk to them in person, but he declined to do so. Furthermore, the store manager told me that I could not separate my orders in order to be able to use multiple coupons. Which even infuriated me further, due to my previous conversation with corporate. I told him fine. I would make my purchase, take it to my car and then come back in and go through line a second time in order to use my other coupons. The manager then informed me that this would not be allowed, as each customer is only allowed to go through line once per day and use coupons. I then informed him that he was mistaken and I would do as I pleased. That if I leave the store, then technically I am considered a new customer. He said no, that I would merely be going to my car and coming back. I told him fine, I would get in my car and drive down the road off of their property and then come back to use my coupons. He still insisted I couldn’t do this as it was illegal. I then told the store manager that I felt I was being harrassed for couponing and also being discriminated against. He insisted it wasn’t either of those situations and asked me to leave the store, which I did. I then sent my daughter back in with multiple like coupons and a list of what to get and they let her use everyone of the coupons, yet I was told by the same cashier and manager that I couldn’t. To test the whole theory of discrimination I sent various friends and relatives and even a stranger into the store with a list of items and coupons in hand to use and they too had no issues using them at all. Long story short, the Target store in Indiana does discriminate against it’s customers’. I have filed a lawsuit against them and the store manager is no longer employed there….thanks to me.

Just about every Target Q I have seen says “Limit one coupon or offer per guest”, so if your coupon said that, they Target employees are following the rules. Here is a link to their coupon policy, which I assume is up to date. http://www.target.com/HelpContent?help=%2Fsites%2Fhtml%2FTargetOnline%2Fhelp%2Fpromotions_sweepstakes_and_discounts%2Ftarget_coupon_policy%2Ftarget_coupon_policy.html#?lnk=sr_rd_coupon_policy

Changing cashiers so that you can clearly use coupons that the coupons prohibit is not good. We all pay the price for misuse of coupons.

        • squiggly5263

What price are you paying? There is no misuse if they make another purchase this is just another transaction, are you telling me that the stores would rather lose the sale than let you move to a different cashier to make another purchase? If this is the case then why are the manufactures putting out these coupons, maybe so we can waste more paper to print them on and gas to put in the trucks to deliver them to the newspapers. The Stores get their money back and then some for the so called trouble they have in handling the coupons. The up side their sales only go up but the customer might want two of the same item and they might live 25 miles one way from the store so lets make them come back again the next day. Now does this all make sense to you? Think about it.

Check out the new wording on Target coupons, I tried to use two for the foot insert deal but the wording on the Dr Scholls limited the entire purchase to using just one Target Dr. Scholls coupon rather than two. It was something like one coupon per guest so the cashier only let me use one. I’ve never seen a Target coupon with that wording before.

      • squiggly5263

This Target is the worst ever I have always had problems with this store ever since they opened they are not couponer friendly. I try not to shop their unless there is something I really find a good deal on. I have done a pretty good job of getting other members of my family to not shop there either. Word of mouth advertising does wonders. I am glade to see that it is not only me.

There’s a MQ for $1 off the V8 smoothie in the SS 9/9 that can be stacked with the target coupon.

    • stacey

I can not find the $1.25 coupon for srubbing bubbles….only finding the $1 one. Any one else have luck finding it?

      • Laura

the site had daily drawings all of Sept to win free products. After you entered a drawing then you’d get the link to the 1.25 coupon. But it’s over now.

        • stacey

          Thanks Laura :)
