Just in time for Holiday shopping Target has updated their price matching policy! There are some fun changes that will make it even easier to get great deals. Keep in mind this will only run November 1 – December 16.

  • Will adjust prices for an item purchased in-store if a lower price is available on Target.com
  • Will have FREE Wi-Fi in-store to allow you to look things up or you can have customer service bring up prices.

The free wifi option is nice!

this is awesome & attractive! looks like walmart will definitely have to compete a little more :)

I wish they would do this year round! And match prices with stores that have loyalty cards (ex. Kroger) and match stores with “doorbuster” prices-that wouldv’e helped me last year when I bought my printer from Target…

I wonder if there is a place that we can print the policy?

The only problem with price matching Amazon is their prices change so often. You can see something you’re thinking about buying, wait an hour or two before making up your mind only to find it’s already gone back up.

I think it’s great! I have left Target and gone elsewhere when I found out they wouldn’t match their own online price–and the difference was more that $10! Matching Amazon is really nice. I guess they have to compete with them since you can stand in the store and check Amazon prices on your phone!

This happened to me too! There was an item on their website cheaper than in the store and I was told the price could not be changed because their online store was a separate entity……really??? Yet if you buy an item online, you can return it to the store. Certainly left a bad taste…

Does this apply to Black Friday prices at other stores too?!?!

    • cedenf

So, does this include Black Friday prices?

    • Megan

They priced matched target.com for me in-store earlier this month. It may be here to stay or just temporary but I’ll take what I can get. The Lego kit was $75ish online and my 5 year old was so excited to spend the money he had saved. Got in the store and it was $99. I just happened to ask and they honored the online price and was able to use my $5/$75 purchase coupon. It took him 3 afternoons to complete the Police Station and he was so excited to use his own saved money.

I’ve been comparing Target to Walmart for a while now. Apparently, Target has been comparing themselves to Walmart also, because they are pretty much dead matched in most every category I’ve looked at (in TN, anyway). I shouldn’t complain because every little bit helps, and I’ll take a price cut nearly any way that I can get it; however, this leaves all of the work up to the customer. If they REALLY want to do us a favor, I wish THEY would do all the research and comparison, then price their items accordingly….jmo. I know I don’t sound it much, but I really am excited about it, and grateful as well. Target is my favorite big box store.
