It’s time for Taste of Home clearance again and they have discounted 27 hardback cookbooks. Some have even been marked down to $5!  To make this even better you can get free shipping and 20% off a purchase of $20 or more with the code LST26. With Christmas coming up these could make for great presents!

You can also go thru ShopAtHome to get 10% Cash back or Ebates for 5% cash back!

    • Whiteironhead

I got mine this morning. 5 cookbooks for just $20 shipped plus shopathome.com 10% back. Awesome!

    • Andre

I picked out five books and four showed as discontinued when I tried to check out. They all showed as In Stock on the cover page…

      • Kristen

I did the same thing, but it still let me place the order. I assume that it means they are no longer in print and can only be bought through them. We'll see. I did get the 20% off, but it didn't offer free shipping with my order. Still a great deal – 4 cookbooks or 4 Christmas presents for $25!

        • Nicolecaroline1023

You have to get 5 books in order to get the free shipping because the total needs to be over $20.00 after discount. So 5 books would come to $25.00.

          • Mel

Actually, 5 books is $20 with the coupon code after the free shipping and 20% off, so its cheaper to get 5 than 4. =) Great Christmas presents – thanks!!

      • Dianne

I asked customer service and was told it meant they were sold out and that their system was overloaded and had not caught up with the sales.

    • mkneece

I just tried to order the Taste of Home cookbook and apparently “the item has been discontinued and is no longer available”

    • DD

When does it ask for the discount code?

    • JB

I do not see where to enter the discount code. Can anyone help?

      • Kristin

When you go to your shopping cart there is a space to enter a coupon code or suite number. Put the code in there and hit apply.

    • Lpsmith

I ordered 5, it said they were discontinued, but also in stock. My order went through, hope it works!! Great, inexpensive gifts…just what I need this holiday season.

    • Ktandbmoore

Thanks Jenny! Also, if you go to their $9.99 and under, there are some really cute things for like 2.99, some candles, cutting boards, ornaments, and measuring cups, all for super cheap! Great deal, and Loooving the free shipping plus coupon plus sale… WOOT!

    • Andre

Based on other posts I ordered anyway. Curious to see what arrives.

    • Amanda

Ordered six for $24. Woo hoo! Three of them said discontinued, but “in stock” and the order went through. Hopefully they all arrive!

    • Kedmo0912

I bought 4 $5.00 cookbooks and then added a set of Christmas cookie magnets that I will attach to gift boxes for $2.99. That got me over $20 for free shipping. $18.29 total for 3 gifts and a new cookbook for me!

    • C Gaudette

I can't believe I just got 5 cookbooks, originally at $25 for $20! Wow – thanks for sharing this! I just got some great christmas gifts with this!!

    • jackiek

i ordered 5 and it automatically took off $5 discount and free shipping, so 5 for 20 bucks that were all 25-30 bucks each. great deal for christmas presents, plus one for me!!!! Yippee!

    • nancy

did I understand correctly that there will be automatic shipments of new

books and you'll have 30 or 60 days to keep or return?

    • Kate P.

What a great deal. I got 5 books for $20!!! Thanks Jenny you keep helping my Christmas List get done faster!

    • Guest

It is cheaper to order $25 worth of products! It was trying to charge me shipping and when I added another item, it ended up being $4 cheaper than my original order!

    • Oliveplants

These will make great gifts! I had to buy 5 to get the free shipping, but that turns out to be $4 a book. I have two of these myselft and absolutely love them! Great recipes :)

    • Love their cookbooks! Thanks for sharing! One of the cookbooks was already on my list to buy for my sister-in-law who lives overseas so I was able to save some money. Several books were already sold out but I was able to get 5 books for $20 plus free shipping! THANK YOU!

    • Bradyfigueroa

Totally a great deal…thank you so much!!

    • Mom of 4

This was a great deal… I got 4 cookbooks and a little set of measuring cups (to make it enough for the free shipping!)

    • Mel

Did anyone get e-mail confirmations yet?

    • Bamabobbie

Best of Home is discontinued and not available.

    • Rnrbartlett

Awesome!! Just got 4 planners for teacher gifts for christmas and the ultimate Halloween book that was not listed in the $5 section but was in fact marked down to $5! Thanks!!

    • Keyork

Just wanted to give a heads up about issues with the cookbook orders. I just talked to Taste of Home and there were a lot of cookbooks that were not available even though they were listed as “in stock” and let you purchase them. Instead of notifying customers, they are only shipping any books that you ordered that are currently in stock. I found this out because my order total came to exactly $20 but my credit card was charged $10.99. Customer service said that only one of my books was available so I no longer qualified for free shipping. They are charging me $5.00 for the book and $5.99 for shipping and they will not let me cancel my order. The only thing I can do is refuse shipment and they will refund me when they receive my order back.

      • Johnsonjne

Be carefull refusing…I would call back. If you refuse shipment all they have to refund is the product, not the shipping you were charged (cust. rep told me). You will end up payig 5.99 for nothing. If you call back and get a supervisor they can refund the shipping and change the book amount to back to the original $4 you agreed to pay.

        • Keyork

Thanks for letting me know. I called back and they assured me that I would not have to pay the shipping if I refused but I don't really believe them at this point. I finally spoke to someone who could resolve the situation.

    • Carolinelewis123

I just bought 4 cookbooks! 1 for myself, and 3 to give as Christmas presents. Great Deal!!!

FYI, Taste of Home Cookbooks are amazing!!! They normally have pictures, which makes it even more fun!

    • Carolyn

Just as Reyork posted, I also had some issues with Taste of Home. I noticed through my bank account that I was being charged $24.99 instead of the original $18.39. I called Taste of Home's customer service. Some of the cookbooks are not availabe, even after my online order said “items in stock”. After a long discussion with the customer service rep, I was given a chance to add another cookbook that is supposedly available. I was told that the matter with the bank charge may take up to 72 hours to correct. I suggest that you check your orders; otherwise you will be charged shipping and will not receive the 20% discount.

    • The same thing happened to me as is happening to other people. Apparently they can only send me ONE of the five books I ordered, even though they all said 'in stock' when I ordered them. They have HELPFULLY charged me $10.99, which is over half what I was paying before. I would have NEVER ordered just one book for $11. I will have to dispute the charge with my bank.

    • Johnsonjne

I called them and chewed the repup one side and down another for poor business practices. It is basically bait and switch. I was able to get them to honor the original cost of $4 a book with the 20% off and refund my shipping. I ordered 7 books and I am now only getting 3.

    • Jennifer

same happened to me my order was charge $16 plus shipping to = $29.99. I called them and 1 of the books I ordered was sold out so I added a different book that was still available to make the order $20 and still qualified for free shipping but it will be shipped separately. They were very nice and adjusted everything quickly but it could be 'cause everyone is calling them now about it.

    • yeluaccm_nire

I had the same thing happen that some people are talking about here. I called customer service at 1-800-880-3012. Two of the five books I ordered were sold out. The lady offered to add two books that were in stock (she checked stock levels while I was on the phone) and changed my bill back to the original pricing, with the 20% discount and free shipping. She was very nice and apologetic. I suggest calling this number if you are having a problem. They straightened it out for me without a problem.

    • Jenylyn14

Ordered my cookbooks, received my discount and free shipping. Have also received an email confirmation of my order. So far so good.
