Here’s a tasty deal for those of you with a Fresh Market nearby. Every Tuesday in March bacon will be on sale B1G1 pound free!  It is normally $5.99, but this deal makes it $2.99 per pound.

I know you can find bacon for about $1.50 per pound, but Fresh Market bacon is awesome.

They have a few other BOGO deals today only too, so grab what you want!

Use this Fresh Market store locator to see the closest one to you.

Thanks Mallary!

Please tell me how to get bacon for $1.50/lb.  I use bacon coupons, but the cheapest I have been able to get bacon in the last 6 months is ~$2.50/lb.  Thanks:)

      • Sosorozo

The only way is if the  bacon is BOGO, then the store marks it down further because it is going to expire and when you have coupons. You need to pretty much have all your planets lined up in a row but where did you get the idea that bacon can cost $1.50 a pound?

        • Randall

They got the idea in this original post from Jenny. But you’re right, it pretty much has to be a rare BOGO on a 3 or 4 day sale with a really good coupon or something to find it at that price.

        • Rae

Thank you for making me laugh with your “all your planets lined up in a row” comment! Totally reminded me that couponing should FUN (just last night I vowed to never do a “target run” because my area is not a SuperTarget and I have never, ever been able to do more than a couple of deals there – always out of stock or more expensive than the national average).  But I loved your comment and was going to run by Fresh Market on the way home….until I realized that we aren’t really a bacon eating household, so BOGO is still $5.99 out of my pocket on an item I don’t really like. Happy couponing!!

I just got back from the Fresh Market. I am excited to give their bacon a  try. I purchased 1/2 lb to try. Their bacon isn’t prepackaged and you can get as much or as little as you want. If we like it then next week I plan to stock up. In general we freeze our bacon until we are ready to use it. Around here 2.50-3.00 is about as low as bacon ever goes. I guess no planet alignment here.

          • Sosorozo

Yea…couponing has to be fun. If I can’t get bacon cheap, then heck…I just tell myself I don’t need all the nitrates and hubby fat enough anyways.

This week Oscar Meyer bacon was BIGI for $6.99. HT had an evic coupon for $3.00 off Oscar Meyer bacon bringing the price down to $3.99 then there was a $1 off 2 coupon on the pack which brought the price down to $2.99 which is roughly $1.50/lb.

During double coupon week there was a $1 off coupon for Smithfield bacon that doubled to $2 but I don’t remember what the original price was – I don’t think I got it as low as $1.50 unless it was on sale but I can’t remember.

Anyway when this happens stock up:)

        • Guest

During Superdoubles at HT the Smithfield Bacon was 2/$7 so with the $1 coupon doubling it did end up being $1.50.

You have to look for sales and I don’t know about your area but in mine if bacon is on sale it goes fast. Always get a raincheck. I got an awesome deal during HT super doubles by having a raincheck and the bacon being on sale for 2/$7, having coupons, and HT having a coupon pad in store near the bacon. I don’t expect to be able to do anything like this again.

        5 packs Smithfield Bacon, raincheck B2G3, 2/$7 – 2/$1 mfg. dbled – $2 HT cpn = $1 for ALL 5 lbs.

Jenny do you know if Fresh Market accept coupons?

      • Sosorozo

        Call sweetie!

    • Mary

The fresh market does accept coupons. I worked in their corporate office until I became a stay at home mommy. They also have great deals during the summer months on milk (2.99 a gallon on 2.99 tuesdays). Check them out. Its worth while for sure

I don’t have a Fresh Market in my town but every time I go to the next town over that has one, I stop and get this market style bacon!  It’s the best!  Went and got 4 lbs today!!!  Great deal!
