This summer, try some new things.  I’m all about gadgets that make life easier, and having some things around that make for sweet family memories, so I rounded up my top 10 summer gadgets.

10 Summer Gadgets

melon slicer
Watermelon Slicer
: $4.99

Watermelons are the perfect summer snack, especially for feeding big crowds.  No one wants to be stuck meticulously slicing the watermelon, so this handy tool stepped up to the task.  I had never seen this until it showed up in facebook feed with a short video.  I could have watched the video for hours I was so enthralled.  It turned out to be just as great in person.

pineapple
Pineapple Slicer and De-Corer
: $6.99

There are few fruits harder to cut than pineapples.  If you’re not poking yourself on it’s outer shell, you’re trying so hard to get the most pieces without the exterior on it.  I have heard many rave on this product and so we had to try it for ourselves.

campfire

Light My Fire Grandpa’s Fire Forks (2 pk.): $9.99

There’s something fun about having to find your own stick for fire roasts and smores.  Sadly though a stick can never really work until now!  These little gadgets turn into stick into the perfect fire roasting fork.

Telescoping Skewers
(12 pk.): $14.99

If the fire forks aren’t your thing, telescoping skewers are another good alternative for packing light.  This pack makes it where everyone has their own for a super cheap price per skewer.

Ice Pop Molds
(6 ct.):  $7.01

I know you remember these from your childhood. It’s time to let the kids have those same great memories.  You’ll find these in all sorts of shapes and models, they even make $50 ice pop molds.  Just go with the basics and let the kids have a blast making their own desserts.  I’ll bet they could come up with some crazy recipes.

magic bullet
Magic Bullet Dessert Blender
:  $31.84

Here’s another dessert that can be a nice, nutritious summer treat.  Choose the ingredients you want (frozen fruit etc.), put them in one end, and a nice, frosty dessert comes out the other end.  This has been a favorite since starting to diet!

compost
Kitchen Compost Bin
:  $22.95

Make the most of the summer weather by getting your garden in check with a compost bin.  This counter-top compost bin controls odors naturally, it’s easy to clean, and fits anywhere.  I’m amazed at how it blocks smells and many times I don’t even realize it needs to be emptied.

 thermometer

Wireless Grill Thermometer: $21.91

If you’re like me, you get a little obsessed about making sure you cook meat to the right temperature.  The wireless grill thermometer will keep you from cutting open all the patties to make sure they’re cooked through.

lid
Cuppow Mason Jar Drinking Lids
: $8

Mason jars are a staple for every southern summer.  Take your drinks or treats to-go with mason jar lids.  We love these!  While they are pricey you’re going to fall in love too.

Pocket Blanket
:  $24.99

You never know when you’re going to have an adventure.  Grab a blanket that will fit in your pocket and you’ll be ready to sit on beaches, fields, or have some shelter from the rain.
