Jenny, I was checking out groupon this morning, randomly at different cities. I found several INTERNET deals and wanted to share with everyone. I tried to post my findings by listing the cities and mentioned that some were side deals. Anyway, as I tried to “post” I got a message saying that the comment I was sharing would be looked at by a moderator(?) at DISQUS. It seems my efforts were never posted. Was I breaking rules? If so, I'm truly sorry. I thought I had seen other postings of people sharing where certain things could be found.

Vicki, I believe that if you include a web address in your post it will automatically be flagged for review. It is just to keep spammers away. Your post will likely be reviewed and posted for all to see before too long.

Has anyone used mixbook before? How is the quality of the books and calendars? Thanks!

      • Megan

MixBook is AWESOME! Shutterfly and Picaboo have cute books and stuff, but MixBook is TOTALLY customizable. You can pick the placement, orientation and resize every picture manually. Add little “stickers”, like for Holiday pages or pearl for wedding themes or whatever. The quality is GREAT. I did an “Our First Year” of my boyfriend and I….it was great. Such a fun memory book. It's pricey, but it was worth it to me then. This deal makes it DEFINITELY worth it.

I just received an email from All You saying that their daily sample today is $5 for new Groupon users! The promotion has not officially started yet though (I keep refreshing my page) so keep an eye out on the samples page!

I also got an email from Walgreens saying you can get an 8×10 collage picture from now until Saturday

    • Amy

Ah ….I wondered why my posts never show up! I've tried to share some great deals I found in the past too….and they never show up!

    • Melissa

Can the Zazzle deal really be used for stamps? The ones I've seen before said it could not be. But even if it can, what's the cost of a custom photo stamp compared to a regular stamp? I'd still imagine that half price would be a great deal! Hey, we all need postage, right?

      • All of the ones that have posted lately, including this one, say that they can not be used for stamps. I bought one in early September that did not say that and have been trying to find another. I hope that when I get ready to use mine, it will be accepted. I plan to make stamps with my son's senior picture for his graduation announcements.

    • Junkmail

I am so far behind on making photo albums this year. I keep having to pass up the great deals that come along because I don't have time before they expire. I just ordered all the photobook groupons (you can get 2 of the mixbook ones, so $30 for $100 worth of stuff from them!). Since they don't expire for a year, I've got plenty of time to get them done! Thank you!!

    • Arie

Whoops, didn't know it would use my email name as my name. That's my junkmail filter address for new places. Sorry!

    • Arie

On the zazzle deal, you can't use it for stamps:

      The Fine Print

      * Expires Feb 1, 2011
      * Limit 1 per order. **Not valid toward custom stamps**. Shipping not included.

    • The Zazzle deal states that it can not be used for stamps.

Thanks Jenny…I got the AJC deal….I was paying $11 a month..just for the Sunday paper!

    • WynetteC

I didn't know the AJC prints the penny coupon in the Thursday paper instead of the Wednesday one. Still doesn't seem like a great deal for me.

Hmmm, this deal would carry through the Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years Day. All of which would not contain the coupon inserts. I divided $40 by roughly 24 weeks (4 weeks per 6 months), and I come out to $1.625 per Sunday issue containing the insert coupons. And that's not factoring out the non insert weekends which will be on 3 or 4 weekends, and so that would bring the paper value for the inserts to $1.86-$1.95 per week for 1 complete set.
I buy the AJC Daily Double (available at most grocery stores & WalMart) which gets an early AJC edition and a late edition for $3 total. This price beats out the AJC promotion *if* you are solely buying the paper for coupons.
