I don't see how you can get the  Tylenol Precise for free at Walgreens. The $3 off from the Walgreens coupon book states “Manufacturer coupon good only at Walgreens” and ” Limit one coupon per customer per offer”. The $5 off coupon says “one coupon limit per purchase”. Will they really take two coupons for the same item?

      • Wardamneagle6907

I bought several at with the store and manufacture coupons on each with no problems.

      • Candice

The $3 off is a Walgreens coupon (even though it says manufacturer coupon). The code starts with a bunch of zeros and then a few digit code. The $5 off is an actual manufacturers coupon (starts with a 5). Walgreen's policy allows you to use one store coupon and one Manufacture's coupon. However since the register sees this as two coupons you will have to have a filler item to use both coupons (The number of items you are purchasing has to equal the number of coupons you have). I bought 2 Tylenol precise creams and some m&m candies on sale for thirty something cents and was able to use all three coupons. Hope this helps!

    • Kkj3day776

I went to the Walgreens in Boiling Springs, SC.  LOVE THEM!  The girl working in the cosmetics department was really helpful and showed me items I hadn't even planned on getting.  They are completely “coupon friendly”.

    • Jessica Lowe

Rite Aid has the AirWick Ultra Starter kits B1G1 and you can use 2 4.00 off coupons from ss4/17. makes it like 4 dollars a piece!!

      • syndilew

You can also use the $1.00 VV coupon with this deal too.

    • Bamagrits84

I can't remember if I saw this on here or another site but CVS has a coupon printing for I believe it was $3 off $10 (mayeb $3 off $15) healt items so you can use that with the sunscreen and that makes it free!

    • Toni

I need some information,  and if anyone can help me,  it would be deeply appreciated.  It will determine whether or not I ever shop at Walgreens again.  Do you know whether or not it is true that if you use a manufacturer coupon (clipped from a newspaper coupon insert–NOT a RR coupon) at Walgreens,  you will sometimes not get the advertised register reward?

I used a $1 store coupon and a $3 clipped coupon on a bottle of $8.99 Raid Max,  and according to the Wags ad,  I was supposed to get a $1 RR back. The  RR did not print,  and the manager said that because I had used the clipped manufacturer coupon,  the RR wouldn't print and wasn't supposed to print.  Is this true?  The ad does not say you cannot use a coupon.)

The manager also said he did not like the cash register tied up with returns over these issues,  and if I wanted to return the item to try again,  he would not do it.  I told him I was not going to ask for the coupons I had used and I was only expecting back the cash I had paid out of pocket,  nothing more,  when I made the return,  and he said he would do it just this once but never again.  So I left without making the return yet.  I would like to understand what's going on before making the return,  because if I will never be allowed to make a return again (when RR don't print),  and I make this return,  then I will never shop at Wags again  (It would be too risky.)  Is it legitimate for a manager to refuse to let someone make a return because the RR did not print as advertised?

I just returned to Walgreens today to pay the manager several dollars because they had made a mistake in my favor.  They had scanned a high value coupon that they thought wouldn't scan,  so I submitted a different high value coupon, which worked.  But later on I noticed the receipt showed that both coupons had scanned after all.  So I returned the amount of one of the coupons to the store. You know,  I really do expect the same honesty in return.

      • Carolina Coupon Mom

You SERIOUSLY need to contact their corporate customer service number!

        • syndilew

This is why I too only go into Walgreens if it is a heck of a deal.  I know that CVS and Rite Aid will have this deal and they appreciate my business.  It is pulling teeth for a cashier at Wags to accept a man. q for more than the item even though their coupon policy states that they are to adjust it down.  I only shop in stores that appreciate my coupon business.  I have been thinking for months that if Wags doesn't adjust their customer service for couponers that CVS and RA are going to put them out of business.

          • Toni

Thanks again,  everyone,  for your responses.  You're information has helped.

        • Toni

Thanks.  You know,  the manager thinks wanting the RR as promised is being petty.  But it's not.  If they hadn't advertised the deal,  I wouldn't even have showed up at the store.  I went there instead of Publix for the Raid Max just because of the RR that was advertised.  My Publix still takes Wags coupons until the end of the week,  plus $/$$ health food store coupons,  so I could have gone to Publix and done better that Wags on the Raid Max (without the RR) or the same as Wags (with the RR).  Give it time,  and CVS will have a deal on it.  I went to Wags and spent 45 minutes shopping there only to find everything out-of-stock except the Raid, only to get no RR on the Raid.  It IS a big deal when that happens.  If they don't keep their word and print the RR,  my time is wasted,  and so is some of my money.  It IS a big deal.  If I didn't want to save that dollar,  I wouldn't have been attracted by that advertisement.  And,  you know,  it will now be a big deal to them,  too,  because even though I am only one customer,  I have added it up:  I used to spend $500 annually at Wags,  but no more.  I'm done losing literally two to three hours each month just dealing with the hassles and difficulties they create at the register alone,  waiting for managers, etc.  (lately I've been watching the clock and adding the time up).  I'm done with it.  Life will be easier after this.  I love shopping Publix and CVS.

          • Toni

My Walgreens manager just called me to discuss the issue again.  Corporate sent him an e-mail saying I had called them even though I had already talked to him.  We rehashed it and listened to each other thoroughly.  To his credit,  he understands my perspective.  He still is unable to give me the RR.

We had a nice conversation understanding one another but ending with no one satisfied.  He reminded me that no man-made system in this world is perfect (sometimes the RR with print;  sometimes not).  I agree,  but I think Walgreens should do better.   They use their ads to reel me in but then they sometimes do not give me the worm they baited the hook with.  As a result I am left thinking that shopping Walgreens is risking loss.  If I am to be tempted to return,  they must first somehow revamp the way they advertise so that they can still reel me in AND give me the worm they baited the hook with.  Wags,  are you listening?  I have nothing against you that this would not solve immediately.  I know the economy is tough for you,  too.

            • Toni

Hey, anyone else frustrated with their Walgreens!  Are you tired of being offered RR just to get you in the door, only to be lied to?  You may want to do what I have done.  It has been only a couple of days since I have decided to be done shopping at Walgreens,  and already it has been a relief.  I skipped the new sales at the beginning of the week,  and have had noticeably more time on my hands this week as a result.  Plus no more frustration!  I spent my old Wags shopping time doing some extra baking and then basking with my daughter in the Florida sun.

This is not true! This is the very reason why it has to be one heck of a deal for me to darken Walgreen's doorstep! I was just in yesterday and bought the Gillette razor and used a coupon and got the register reward, and also the same with the Gillette bodywashes (I used 3 coupons on that one and paid with the RR from the razor and still got the next RR, using gelatin as filler). I have had associates and manager's say the exact same thing to me in the past when RR did not print.  However, I called the corporate number and spoke to someone about it and found out that coupons have absolutely nothing to do with the register rewards.  In the end, the divisional manager called me and apologized and said that the manager at the store was mistaken- which I already knew.  I'm curious, do you happen to be in the Augusta, Georgia area?  The Walgreens on Fury's Ferry Road is well known for this same blanket response- if a RR doesn't print, they always tell the person that it's because they used the coupon, so I was just curious if you were here or if this was a store wide issue with mis-educated associates. I would advise you to call the corporate office and tell them what happened.

        • 2hsmom

this happens to me in naples, fl. i get so mad when i bought something because it would be “free” after coupons and RR and i don't get my RR. i'm calling next time!!

          • Toni

Thanks for your reply.  It tells me that this happens to others and really is a problem.  You know,  they really need to do as they advertise they will do.  Otherwise too many people are going to get too mad to shop there.

            • Toni

Which reminds me:  the Wags manager at my store told me that people should not be coming into his store thinking they can get anything for free or for even close to free.  He even told me that getting a RR on top of having used a coupon hurts the store and that people who try to do deals like that are dishonest.   Of course,  that wasn't me,  he said,  but,  “Would you believe it!  There are actually people like that”  who shop in his store,  and he gets sick of dealing with them.  I was suprised to hear this since really it is Wags advertisements that are dishonest,  since they say you are going to get a RR,  no strings attached,  and then won't give you one.

        • Toni

Thank you for your reply. My bad Walgreens is on the corner of 143rd St. and Newberry Rd. in Newberry,  Florida.  I have called corporate offices about this particular issue,  and they told me the manager was right in saying that if I were to use a coupon,  even a clipped coupon,  the RR might not print.  It is interesting to see that they told you something different.  I wonder if the corporate offices are blackballing me because I have called them about this Walgreens too much.  But Walgreens is a constant frustration.  There are other Walgreens in my county,  but this one is by far closest to me and has better stock of sale items than the one second-close to me.  (Maybe that's why they have sale items in stock–no one wants to shop there!)  The manager tell me I had to pay full price for 3 out of 4 enlargements I had ordered on-line that had no limit on the number you could get on sale.  Corporate agreed that there was no limit on the deal,  but said the manager still had the right to charge me full price if he did not want to give me more than one on sale. I had already ordered the 4 photos online and had been given the sale price on all of them online.  But the management can do what it wants at my Smallbeans.  I love the Wags down the road,  but the extra time and gas. . .and likelihood of nothing in stock. . .  maybe I'm just done with Walgreens.

      • Chelsea

This is from this site, posted under the Walgreens tab as part of the Guide to Walgreens.  Not sure if it helps . . .

What if my Register Reward doesn't print?

Some Walgreens stores have reprogrammed their
Catalina machine (the machine that prints out Register Rewards). If
you buy an item and are told that using a coupon made your RR not
print, you are probably in one of those stores. There is nothing in
Walgreens advertisements that state you can’t use coupons. If your RR
does not print, don’t bother with the store management (they can fix it
but don’t like to), just leave and call 1-888-8COUPON and talk to the
Catalina company and they will mail you the RR that she have received.

        • Toni

Wow.  Thank you so much,  Chelsea.

      • Candice

I love my Walgreens! They are so helpful! Yes, you are supposed to get the RR even if you use coupons. The store still makes the money (from the coupon not you). Every time I used coupons, I still got the RR that were supposed to print.

I have seen where people on here post that if you use a RR that you got for buying a product on the same products in another transaction a separate RR will not print out. However, at my Walgreens, I just used one on the Oscar Meyer sub deal, and another RR printed out.

There are 3 Walgreens in my area, I just make sure I go to the one with the nice cashiers/managers! Since I call for good service to compliment, if I were you, I would definately contact someone about that store. Sorry you had such a bad time.

        • Toni

          Thank you,  Candice.

    • Dwilson19

I do not see the reach toothbrush deal in my walgreens add in fl. Is it a regional deal? I went back to the whole walgreens add from this week and its not there either.

      • Marnie

this doesn't start till June 1, altho it is listed on several blogs. i had an ad print that referred to the date instead of getting the RR I was expecting!

      • Nikole

I'm in Tallahassee and got the reach deal today. Bought 4 Reach crystal toothbrushes at 0.99 each, used 4 $1 man coupons and got back a $4 RR. It was unadvertised in my store. Sweet $4 moneymaker!

      • Ladymoon0121

I am in NC and my Walgreens had a sign up for the Reach toothbrush but they were out. I checked at one of my local lowes foods to see if they still had some because they sell them for a dollar all the time. Sure enough they had some in stock, so I paid .31 for 4 toothbrushes and get back a coupon for $4 off my next order. So it is not just walgreens that is running the promotion ot get a reward back.

    • Goodkristen

Just came from Walgreens and used 4 $1.00 coupons for reach toothbrushes on four $.99- came out free then $4 in RR…sweet deal thanks for this!!!!

    • Ccrenshaw76

Just went to Neutrogena's website, registered and got the $2 coupon.

      • FreedomSpradley1

I've tried every zip under the sun to get the redplum coupon.  Thank you for mentioning registering on the neutrogena site!

    • guest

I've used a manufacture cpn and recieved RR back. Also if there is a line at the register, the manager at the cola store would do a return at the cosmetic  register. Do the survey at the bottom of the receipt and complain about the customer service, For they know what if you were a secret shopper for walgreen

      • Toni

        Thanks.

“Do the survey at the bottom of the receipt and complain about the customer service”?  That sounds ethical…

Sorry, just saw you were replying to a previous post!  My bad.

    • Mel

Got all the Rite Aid deals this week, did great according to most. However was kind of disappointed, This was my first time shopping at right aid using the +rewards,  I did not know you would have to have the exact amont to use the item(if the items $4 you can't use a 5rr). Also the store closest to me was out of the Purex, but the cashier told me they would have some later in thee afternoon. So I called several hours later and manager told they did not have any in,and cashier was misinformed. So called a few other stores. Out of the store within 15 miles only one had, and tons of it. Anywho.
Total product value 100.00 oop 6

      • guest

You can get a raincheck and then you can get it when they get more in stock.  I did that last week for the Tylenol Precise and got some yesterday after they got more in.

    • jennjenn5282

I am not sure why I can't get some of the same deals as listed on here.  At Rite Aide the Purex Crystals was  NOT on sale.  And this morning I went to Walgreens looking for the .99 tooth brush deal.  The cheapest toothbrush they had in the whole section was $1.79 and they were completely out of them.  This is not the first time that I have been disappointed with Walgreens.  They are always out on the second or third day of the sale cycle.  I can understand Rite Aid and that was the first time it has happened at that store.  Really not happy with the Valdosta, Ga Wags here.

      • Galveston 2000

2nd or 3rd day-mine is out by  the time i get out of church most times–now they tell me no rainck on rr items-has anyone heard this?

        • Syrivera9

Be careful Galveston because the Walgreens in my area (jacksonville FL) will do a raincheck on the sale price of the item BUT they will NOT print the RR. You may want to consider going to a 24hr Walgreens on Saturday night.  If you go late enough they will honor the Sundays ad.  You may also want to consider asking them when their stocking truck comes in, if you know their schedule you may be able to avoid the Sunday madness.

P.S. If you shop at CVS and you get a raincheck on an item that has an ECB attached, CVS will honor it and print the ECB at the time you purchase it.  Obviously CVS has a better policy then Wags.

          • Galveston 2000

            thanks

          • Jen

just curious how does CVS print the ECB if its past the week it should have printed? I was wondering cause I work at walgreens and we have no way of printing…just the silly form we give to customers when the RR doesnt print

            • Toni

I suspect that CVS corporate sets it up on their registers so that CVS can manually print ECBs.  Walgreens corporate,  on the other hand,  probably doesn't want people to get RR that don't print.  My RR didn't print when I bought a Raid Max yesterday,  and the manager said that it was tough luck for me,  because he could do nothing about it,  and if he did,  it would hurt the store.

            • earnjr8fan

You can call Catalina marketing – sorry don't know the number – and tell them about it.  They will ask you for some info off your receipt and then if it is correct they will mail you the RR.

            • DebT

They have a code on every deal they put in the paper. When you get the raincheck, it should include this code. When you use the raincheck, they will enter the code to force the ECB. I love CVS for this very reason, no running around like a crazy person trying to grab the last item!

        • Toni

Yes.  My Wags has never been willing to give rainchecks on RR deals.

      • Jenperegrina

With any store that doesn't double coupons your better off going to Walmart and price matching…they get bigger truck loads more often…just a thought.

    • Leticiag30

Please someone help me with this. I went to Walgreens today and tried to do the Gillette Wash deal. I had 3/ $us2.00 off and 3/B1G1 a  I tried to use 4.00 RR  and it didn't work.
I had 7 items plus a filler (1 Royal for 69 cents. ) What should I use to make it work with my $4 RR  Thanks

      • Nita Royal

Was your RR from another P&G product?  If you use one from the same manufacturer, the new RR won't print.

      • Syrivera9

I did the deal today. The problem I had is that my subtotal was too low to use the RR.  I think the value of my things was $2 (I don't recall) so I had to add a few items to get my subtotal over $4. It took me a while to figure out why my math was off, I knew the body was was B1G1 50% off but I didn't realize that the deodorant was also ringing up B1G1 50% off.  As you can imagine my totals were off.  I didn't mind cause it allowed me to get a few other things I wanted but did not have coupons for.

    • Sharon

The least expensive Neutrogena Suncare in our area was $9.49.
I received a 3 day 30% off coupon on my receipt the day prior.

      (2) Neutrogena 9.49 ea = 18.98
      Less 30%                       (5.70)
      Less (2) $2/1                   (4.00)

      OOP (use other ECB)       9.28

I went to rite aid and they were sold out of the purex and they will not get a truck in for two weeks. This is the first day of the deals so how can people utilize the coupons and the deals if they do not have enough supply?

      • me8107

Two different Rite Aids I went to were out of the Purex Crystals and had been for weeks. They said they kept ordering them but never got the order. Suspect.

        • Armywife74

Rite Aid lost a very big distrubition center that houses the products that gets shipped to stores  in the recent tornados that hit Alabama, it was one of there largest warehouses so I expect they will be effected by this for a while.  Get a rain check or price match at target or walmart is my only suggestions.

        • Guest101

I can tell you that they have been ordering them and the warehouses are out… not sure when they will get more in…

      • Guest

I was in Rite Aid Sunday morning about 10 minutes after they opened and there was a woman in there with a cart full of Purex. She had cleaned the shelves!! Luckily, she missed the end cap display so I was still about to get one of each, but the assistant manager was NOT happy. Everyone should get a chance to get a great deal. Being greedy is not the answer.

    • Learnintosave

Where can I get the CVS big savings book?

      • This booklet is in the CVS Reinventing Beauty Magazine. It costs 99 cents, but then has some great coupons.

    • Angelrena517

Hey guys, I know I've seen it somewhere on the southernsavers site but I am looking for the link to all you magazine for 89c. Some special subscription.. Anyone know where?

    • Kb

question about the savingstar coupons…..do you get the savings on EACH product your buy or is it a one time deal? if I were to get 4 hidden valley dressings would I get it 4 times? thanks!

      • Fgavent

One time only per coupon.  Buy 4 identical items, only one coupon.  Please note it adds to your Savingstar account so you can redeem it later (does not come off your cash register total).

    • Blingbeads1

Went to Wags 2day in Wilmington, NC (College and Oleander Location) couldn't find the Dole Fruit Crisp,

I asked a manager he said, it's a seasonal item, another store may have it in stock, if anybody happens to know of a store in the Wilmington area that has this item, please let me know.

    • Althearc

watch walgreen with coupon.i had 2-toothpaste with coupon and 2-body wash with coupon total 4 she said no i can't take your 4 dollar register rewards .4 thing 4 coupon

      • Ardnasfu82

I think that's why they always talk about cheap/inexpensive “filler items” like a 0.10 pencil – so that way you can use the RR

        • Yes, that's right.  Walgreen's treats RR like coupons so you have to figure them in with your item/coupon ratio.

    • Knallen3989

EXCITING week at walgreens next week! Free ponytail holders, cheap toilet paper, etc!

    • Djlima

I wanted to pick up some Huggies diapers at Rite Aid this week.  You get UP rewards for purchasing this item but the ad states “Limit 3 offers per household.”  Can I get more by going to another Rite Aid or going on a different day?

      • I think they link it to your Rite-Aid Wellness card, so probably not.

    • Michelle Sharp

Not sure if your Walgreens does this but I just found out that if you use their Cosmetic Counter to check out you can get a punch card.  After 10 punches you get 15% off your whole order then you can start over again.

Just ask if they have a “Cosmetic Loyalty Card” – Punch Card – If so be sure to always check out at the cosmetic counter (which usually doesn't have a line : )

    • Jess12148

New to this, but when it say RR what does that stand for??

      • Kellyd

The  Reach toothbrushes at Walgreens were on sale last week, not this week.  :(

Sweet!  Just went to Rite Aid for the Rimmel Cosmetics deal!

      Bought:

      1 Match Perfect Foundation ($8.99)
1 Moisture Renew Lipstick ($3.49 because it was the 50%off item)
1 Moisture Renew Creme Lipgloss ($6.49)
1 Exaggerate Lip Liner ($3.24 because it was the 50%off item)

Total before Qs was: $22.21 plus tax

      Used:
1 $2 off Rimmel Product (Facebook coupon) available here:    http://www.facebook.com/RimmelLondonUS?sk=app_116938695053175
1 $1 off Rimmel Product Manufac. Q (from the RP 4/17)
My $3 off a $15 purchase from the survey thing
And a $5 Rite Aid gift card from a SCR I did last month

This brought my OOP down to $12.75 (tax included)

      Then I got back:
      Another $3 off $15 survey
      A $5 +UP Reward
And a $3 SCR for the Match Perfect Foundation

So, if you include the rewards I got, it’s like I “paid” $1.75 for everything!  :)

    • Mary

I just did a fun CVS deal.  I got a 25% off any non-sale item in my e-mail this week.  I picked up a pack of Huggies Snug & Dry diapers for $11.99. The 25% made them $9, then I used the $3 off a health item from scanning my cvs card when I went in the store, a $2 mq, and I'll get $2 from SavingStar which made the diapers $2!

    • ireneY

The Reach toothbrush at Wags worked for me! There was a whole endcap full of the $.99 sale toothbrushes… on a Friday! Needless to say, I was in complete disbelief. Then, I turned around and used the RR on a much needed item. Rolling it would have been easy next week, but I'm done playing with Wags. Today's stock scenario is definitely the exception, rather than the rule.

    • Ursweet7

I am looking for dollar off and 2 dollar off coupons for rimmel products not the foundation specific one though! Would love to trade with you if you have some! Please email me Monica at ursweet7@yahoo.com. Thanks!

    • Michelle

I just got back from WAGs (in Cleveland, TN). After going to a store and them being “mostly out” of everything, I told the cashier I was never shopping on Saturday's at WAGs again–everythings gone! (I usually shop Sunday afternoons, but I was out of town last weekend!)
After I went to another WAGs store, I found AN ENTIRE AISLE that had everything marked down 75-80% off (kids toys, snuggies, small home goods) and then a sign that read the register would take another 50% off the lowest marked price.
I picked up about 10 packages of “Marvel superhero's” silly bands (as gifts for my nephews) for .06 cents each–I used them as my filler items too!
Also, I found Brita water bottles marked down from reg. $9.99 to $2.59 with 50% off of that to make them 1.29, and then a few weeks ago in the inserts we got a $1/1 Brita water bottle coupon! Made it $0.29!!!
The cashier told me that they were starting a new merchandising and marketing strategy next week so they were clearanceing out everything!

    • Ginger

Ok…We do not have a Walgreens where I live (waaa) but have heard Rite AId has bought them out. I also heard RIte Aid will honor Walgreens ads and coupons….anybody heard that or know it to be true? (HOPING SO)
