Busch Gardens Williamsburg Preschool Pass

I posted about the free Seaworld and Busch Gardens Preschool pass available to Florida Residents, but I just found out there is also a version for Virginia residents too!

Now through 10/28, you can request an annual pass to Busch Gardens Willamsburg for anyone in your household that is preschool age (3-5 years old).

The pass is normally $120, so this is a great deal! You can sign up here.

My parents are VA residents and my kids always spend 1-2 weeks with their grandparents over the summer.  I wonder if they could buy the passes and use them?  Anyone know?  Also, do they have to be 5 at the time the pass is purchased or when they use them, my middle son will turn 6 in a few months…Thanks!

      •  I got them for my grandkids. It gives grand parent as an option.

      • Cabsdb

In the relationship to hold part of Registration, they can select grandparent, so I would think it would be okay for them to do that.

        • Kat175

Thanks for helping me with this guys! And I appreciate that there is a grandparent option – too many companies forget that!

I’m pretty sure you could buy it now, but you have to print the form and bring a copy of the birth certificate to the ticket window for them to issue the pass. We just did it in Tampa and had so much fun. Your parents would probably have to go get the pass before he turns 6. Maybe call them and ask?

Is this instead of buying a park ticket?  So if my husband and I buy 2 adults tickets, we don’t need another one for our little one?

      • Exactly – Children under 2 are Free, but you have to pay for a ticket for little kids unless you sign up for this! My husband and I have season tickets, we sign up for this for our 3 year old, and our 1 year old is free.

        • Krissy

Thanks!  I didn’t know if the ‘Forest of Fun’ meant it was just another part of the park or not- thanks!

    • Linda

is this ticket only for the sesame street part of busch gardens or the whole place and is this a season pass?

There is also a similar deal running for FL residents. Bush Gardens and SeaWorld are both running free “preschool pass”.  Just make sure to register in advance and bring the print out with you to the gate, along with the child’s birth certificate (or passport, but no other ID is accepted) for free 1 year admission. Oh, and if your child is under three, they do not need a ticket.  However, I went ahead and registered my 2 1/2 yr old, incase they are no longer running the special in 6 months. I’d hate to have to buy her a ticket when I can get it for free now.

      awesome!! thanks so much!

I just read this on the help pages for FL – I assume this is the same in VA

My child is 5 this year, turning 6. Am I still eligible?
As long as your child is 5 years of age on or before the date you register for the Pass, your child is eligible.

Does anyone know how long the offer is good for?  We are moving to VA in May and would love this for our 3 year old son!

      • Mel

It’s good through October.  Welcome to Virginia!

    • Mel

On step 4 when I’m entering in my name, address, etc. it says in small print, “This offer valid for Florida residents only.”  Did I accidentally get to the FL one instead of the VA one or are they the same?  I clicked the link above…

      • Mel

Oh wait… I tried it again, but I clicked on the part above that says, “annual pass to busch gardens in williamsburg” and it took me to the VA one.  When I clicked on “sign up here” it took me to the FL one.
