Didn’t the $5 Tylenol precise already expire, like a long time ago?

      • Savingsbycoupons

Yes it was one week only it expired 2/26…

      • Mayra

yes, the only coupon good is the $2 on the same insert the $5 is a no go since it’s expired so the out of pocket will be $6 higher

      •  Thanks for the heads up! You’re right, the $5 coupon did expire but the $2 coupon from the same week is still good.

The date is incorrect you have 2/25 instead of 3/25

I got so annoyed with WGS last time I went I won’t be going back there, sticking with CVS. Didn’t get my RR and didn’t notice until I got home hours later since they stuck everything in my bag instead of handing it to me. When I called WGS corporate they took the info (over the wknd) and then the store manager called me the next week to inform me I’d have to come back to the store again and ask for a manager (during certain hours of course) and they would override it and give me the 1.50 off my order. It wasn’t worth my time and gas money to drive out to it again so I just said forget it. He stated he would speak with cashiers about sticking them in the bag instead of handing it to customers because they are in such a rush they don’t wait for the machine to finish printing past all the advertisements. It has happened to several of my friends/family as well.

      • guest

When I am expecting any kind of reward to print out, I always check before I leave the store to make sure that I have the reward.  I do this at any store that I go to.  I don’t leave it up to the cashier to make sure that I get my rewards as though I don’t expect them to know each and every reward that will print out of the machines.

        • seriously

That is really great to hear because most everyone thinks it’s “our fault” if their reward doesn’t print out right when in reality 9 times out of 10 they got the wrong product or read the tag wrong.

          • Sick of you

Exactly!  They think the cashiers are total morons and they treat them as such, when THEY are the ones who can’t read properly.  I would love to see someone treat them as they treat cashiers.

            • einaej

Not everyone who uses coupons treats cashiers badly. I was reared to respect everyone. I use coupons and i always smile & say hello to the cashier. If the cashier is wearing a name tag, I call their name as I thank them and wish them a good day/week before I leave.

      • Tashkeep01

Yes I always check before I leave, most of the time I am the one informing the cashiers of the sale and the reward. Most of the time I use my rewards right after I get them  in my second transaction.

    • LindseyNail

I always see you have a $0.10 filler item.  What is that?  The cheapest thing I can find as a filler at my Walgreens is carmel for $0.33 each.

      • Tashkeep01

Try and look in the seasonal stuff (after the season) , I usually  find candy and pencils on clearance . After Christmas I found small gift bags for $ .10.

    • Jen

I read in the March issue of ShopSmart that Wags may be changing the Register Reward program.  Anyone else heard anything?

      • Jess

What did it say? In what way did they CLAIM it was changing? I dont get that magazine so I have not seen the artical. And I just tried to google it and I could not find any thing.

        • Jen

It was one line in the article and it just said that the rewards program at Wags would change soon.

      • Sick of you

Our Walgreen’s in Phenix city Alabama is only letting us use 1 RR with a purchase and said it is something new.  Has anyone heard of their store doing this?

      • Corisa

1 RR per item or per purchase? At my store I can use either a manufacturer’s coupon or RR but not both per item so how many items I have is how many RR I can use. Did something change in Walgreen’s coupon policy? I swear I used to be able to use a rmanufacturer’s coupon and a RR for one item.

        • lizzy

you can’t have more coupons than items, that’s what filler items are for. so as long as you have the same amount of items and coupons you’re good, hope this helps

      • equestrienne8

wow, never had that happen..my WAGS lets me use as many as the  transaction will take, we always do it at the very end… after I give my manufact.coupons

    • Cayacoup

So, I did my Sunday shopping at CVS on Saturday night. Bought the Radiant Always and noticed it had “$5 in coupons” on the box. Opened it up and found 4 cpns includ. $2/1 Tampax tampons” Took to WAGS this morning, used to buy Tampax, got back $1 RR so it ends up being $.99 after RR. Used same coupon out of that box to buy another one during my 3rd trasaction (so that I could use with RR from another deal) so it was free. Will add to my mail-in rebate receipts for Olay.

the .75 cent off 1 caress bar or body wash coupon for dollar general only.  did anyone find another one?

    • cristab

Couponers beware of the Austin American Statesman today.  I had to go through a whole stack of newspapers before I found enough that had both the Red Plum and the Smartsource. Even then, only one had the “Playsaver” coupon circular and one had coupons in the Parade magazine and the others didnt.  I’ve never had that happen.

    • Anonymous

Does Walgreens reduce the value of RR? For example, in Transaction 3 if I use the $4 Schick razor coupon, and use a $3 RR for the filler item will the computer take off $3 or reduce the RR to $0.10?  Thanks in advance for any help!

      • Corisa

Whoops, sorry about the double post. I must have clicked “Post As” twice!

    • Blackvelvet49

If you need all purpose cleaner There’s Fantastik on sale 32oz. 2/$6 minus in store coupon is 2/$5 and the using (2) $0.75 coupons in today’s SS makes them 2/$3.50

    • Vicki

So annoyed with Walgreen’s! I went in today with coupons that were above the value of the item that I was purchasing…I knew in advance that they would need to adjust it down, and I also knew that they would probably have an issue with this, so I had a copy of THEIR coupon policy in my hand. The coupon policy states in two different places that they will accept the coupon and adjust it down. The cashier had to call the manager over (which I expected) and th manager refused to adjust the coupon down and allow me to use it. Even when I showed her both places in their coupon policy printed from their website, she still insisted that they don’t do that. The example given on the coupon policy showed an item that was $4.99 and a $5 coupon and said that the coupon  would be adjusted down to $4.99, so this manager said that according to the policy she could only adjust down one cent. Whaaat? I said, “Well, clearly your coupon policy can’t give every example of every price.” She even said that she tells her cashiers not to adjust down the price of the coupon, that it cannot be done. Are you freakin’ kidding??? I asked, “Why is this in your coupon policy in two different places if you’re not supposed to handle it this way?” Answer…”I don’t know.” I said, “Well, you should know. You should at least know your own policy as well as your customers do.” This is the second time that I have had issues with them even with their policy in hand. I called their corporate office when I got home and someone is to call me back. My other question is why did this “manager” not call corporate while I was there? Okay…just had to vent to my ‘coupon’ friends!

      • lucky1

I have had so many problems with Walgreens. The employees there are ridiculous and as a manager it is imperative you know your stores coupon policy. It seems like many of us have been having problems with Walgreens for some time now so why has it not been taken care of by now. If a manager is unable to read and comprehend their stores coupon policy they probably shouldn’t be a manager. Walgreens stresses me out so much it comes down to whats more important to me, my sanity or a good deal. I just assume shop at CVS because it’s a constant battle at Walgreens. I hope corporate helps you and does something about this.

      • Midb08

I had this issue happened to me also last week. I talked to the store manager & was told the same thing they can’t reduce their coupon price. I called corporate said someone will call me. I told corp I already talked to the store manager & want someone higher later in

afternoon the store manager called me. I told him I want to talk someone above him coz he’s definitely not going to resolve my issue if even him doesnt know what to do. I called corporate back the person I spoke with was rude said they don’t resolve issues but only report problem if the store manager already said No there’s nothing they could do.  I wont go back there again unless there is a really really good deal that i can’t resist other wise I’ll just go to CVS cashiers are knowledgeable n friendly

        • Vicki

When I called corporate they gave me a referral number. So your local store manager called you back? That’s crazy! They’re the ones we’re having problems with! I would call back and ask them to have a district manager call you back. I am not giving up on this. Their coupon policy is ‘advertising’ and it is illegal for them not to follow it.

          • Sick of you

Perhaps the store managers are tired of you couponers constantly trying to get something for nothing and then having the nerve to complain about it.  As a former Walgreens employee, I have never seen not one of you be nice about anything. What you people do borders, if not full-fledged participates, on coupon fraud.

            • Fallaya

How is it “coupon fraud”?  The store reimbursed for the full value of the coupon.  The store is not losing one thin dime.  Just because some of us take the time to scour ads and match them up with coupons doesn’t mean we are trying to fraud the store!!

            • Fallaya

In fact, the store is not only getting reimbursed for the FULL VALUE OF THE COUPON, they are also getting 8 cents per coupon.  So the store is MAKING MONEY off of us couponers!!

            • I work for Walgreens and if a coupon is more than the price of the item i adjust the price of the item up, to match the coupon ,that way the customer gets the item for free and walgreens sells the item for more. That way the customer is happy they got it free and the store gets a little more than the sale price and its a win win situation for both. And I never had a customer complain about that.

            • Also theres no kind of coupon fraud done this way, becasue the coupon amount wasnt changed the price of the item was changed.

            • Jordyn’s Mommy

Not wanting in on the debate, but wondering isn’t that unfair to the customer because we have to pay tax on the price of the item before coupon.  So, if you increase the price of the item, you also increase our tax? Not at all being rude or pointing fingers, just really wondering… Thank you

            • I always ask the customer first if its ok.

            • Vicki

Aaah, and there you have it. Thank you for proving my point so eloquently. Ladies and gentlemen, I give you, going by the name ‘sick of you’ (above), the kind of person that Walgreen’s hires. Clearly this person has absolutely no clue about couponing and/or fraud. ‘Nuff said.

            • mrn1

While I totally believe Walgreens should follow their OWN policy of decreasing the value of the coupon, it irks me that they do this.  In my opinion it is coupon fraud on the part of Walgreens.  As someone below said, they get reimbursed the full value of the coupon + handling while that is not what was paid for it.  There is no way to mark on a $3 coupon that you only allowed it to be redeemed at $2.75.  They just made 25 cents for nothing.  And as far as being nice…I am always nice.  I share coupons with the employees where I shop, they know me by name, I even give/receive hugs from some of the employees.  Good thing  you are a former Walgreens employee.  You would really make them look bad with that kind of attitude!

            • Marie

I make cookies for my Walgreens staff :-)

            • Sueziesaver

Why are you on this site if you seem to hate couponers so much. The company makes the policies, not the people who use the coupons. Oh yeah by the way truthfully if is the company that is commits fraud when they adjust down the coupon, because when they submit them they get that full price plus the 8 cents. Which is not what they give the customer.

            • lucky1

Seriously “sick of you”. The problem is employees like you! If you consider using coupons during a sale to get the best value “coupon fraud” it makes sense why you would be unable to read and UNDERSTAND Walgreens coupon policy. Why should I have to pay more for an item because the manager is “tired” of couponers getting deals? Manufacturers give out coupons to get customers to try their products and stores accept them and implement their own incentives such as ECB’s and RR’s to increase business. As I customer I should not have to carry the coupon policy around with me because managers don’t take the time to read it themselves, but clearly it doesn’t matter because even when we do bring it with us managers, somehow, are unable to understand, the very clearly written policy with examples.

            • Sick of you too!

“former Walgreens employee” Honestly we are sick of employees like you! sounds like you are just jealous of the deals couponers get? Is this why you are here? It’s no wonder you are a former employee.

      • Mcleodsc

Apparently the managers are allowed to interpret the coupon policy. One (the closest) WAGS will not adjust a coupon or RR but the 24Hr WAGS MANAGER will adjust both coupons and register rewards. So when I shop at the closest store I shop using their interpretation of the coupon policy and when I shop at the 24 hr store I go by that manager’s interpretation.

        • Vicki

That’s possible…but I don’t see anywhere on their coupon policy regarding this issue that managers can interpret their own way. ‘Interpreting’ would seem to mean that they have to do ‘something’, rather than not accepting the coupon at all. I don’t see how anyone could possibly interpret what their policy says as meaning, “Don’t take the coupon if it’s over the value of the product.” It’s not even unclear on the policy. But it’s okay…I went to CVS tonight and got the same deal, so I’m happy (with CVS anyway!).

      • Di

I had the same issue on Saturday buying the Reach toothbrushes for .99 with a 1.00 coupon. The cashier couldn’t get it to work and I calmly told her that the coupon would need to be adjusted down. She said that she was afraid to do that and called her manager. She couldn’t get it to work either. And I repeated that the coupon just needed to be adjusted dow by a penny. She stated that they couldn’t do that and I calmly replyed that the corporate coupon policy stated that was what should be done and I had a copy if she would like to see it.  She called ANOTHER manager over and she just pushed it through. So even though it worked for me, I could tell that the next person would have issues too.  I just don’t know if they get NO TRAINING or are told to not follow the coupon policy or what.  I TOTALLY agree with you!  I try to say as little as possible but lead them in the right direction when I tell them what needs to be done and be prepared to walk away if they won’t comply.  But IT’S SO FRUSTRATING!!!

        • Madisonanita

I go there as little as possible. I went today and tried to use my 2 $3.00 off coupons for Glade lasting Impressions. It wouldn’t go through, and it clearly states that it is on the $4.49 sale in the sale paper. Never did get that straight! Not worth the fight!

          • Madisonanita

Oh…I did, however, find a GREAT buy on men’s Gillette body wash. Clearance for $2.19 and I had some $1.00 off coupons. And, Crayola markers and markers with pads on clearance for $1.29. I bought a ton. Great to have on hand for gifts!

    • Alana

Transaction #1 did not work as stated at my local Walgreens!  Ugh… they would not print the $5 RR for Got2B stylers b/c with the $3 coupons on each one, the final price was 2/$4 and the RR would have been $1 over the total price…. Is this their policy?

      • Mcleodsc

I bought 2 Got2B stylers-the first one rang up at 5.99 and the second one 4.01-used 2 of the $3.00 off coupons with no problem-the $5. RR printed. Did you ask for the manager?

        • Vicki

No…my RRs are printing out fine with this deal. I even had the cashier ring up 2 and 2 and I got two $5 RRs. Hubby did the same and everything was fine (luckily no one in line behind us or we would not have done that!). I would call corportate…nothing will change until we start getting the word out to call them everytime we have a problem that they refuse to solve. They really need to educate their cashiers and managers!

        • Alana

No I didn’t ask for the manager… this was my first time trying to get RRs at Walgreens.  I didn’t pay any attention to the prices of what I chose to buy… I picked up the Got2B Sexy hairspray and the powder volumizer, which is a small package (but not a sample)… I didn’t think about needing to buy certain items.

    • Thom

I had an interesting trip. Went to buy the got2be hair product. The first items I picked had a tag but were not in the system. The cashier apologized and helped me pick two different products. Well, they only had one in the size that fit the sale. The other was larger. So it appeared I would miss the deal. Cashier to the rescue. She gave me the larger size at the price of the smaller size. I had two $3 coupons and it printed the RR. Yeah!

    • guest

i think wags is trying to keep couponers away & they are definitely keeping me away.  have had many bad experiences there.  it’s really not worth the time or effort when we can just go to cvs

    • amber

On Sunday, the Got2Be deal was NOT printing a RR if you purchased Pomade.  Once I switched out for a different product it printed fine.  Just a heads up if you want to avoid hassle.  :)

      • jen r

i had the same experience! what a hassle!!! as pomade is included in the sale and clearly marked on the shelf..had to get the manager to give me a 5$ refund…

    • Kmjs

I had $1 coupons for Post Shredded Wheat and for Grape Nuts in my SS. Both cereals were included in $1.99 sale. So 99 cents each!

    • Anne

I’m not seeing the coupons on mymilitarysavings.com .  Where do I find them?

any one else have problem with the nestle water Q?  makes me register, then took the water challenge, etc…but no coupon to be found?

    • JTTLC

Keep your eye out for the orange/red tags at your stores.  I went in yesterday to pick up some salt because I was out (with no intention of doing any deals), but there were close out tags EVERYWHERE.  I ended up getting two Gillette body washes (for men) and Tampax pearl.  The Tampax was in the clearance section for 2.79 and I had a $1 MQ and the body washes were on the regular shelf with a close out tag for 2.29 each (they ended up still being B1G1 50% off).  So with my two $1 coupons a peice I paid only 71 cents each.  I thought that was great considering I did not have to deal with RR and just came a little out of pocket for one transaction.  I am sure there were other deals to be had, but I have time to look around.  Wall the aisles at your store if you have time!

      • JTTLC

Both the coupons were in the 3/04 PG………

    • Majun

Went to WAGS Sunday and Olay body wash and lotions were on sale for $2.29 each on top of that it is Buy 1 Get 1 50% off!!!  So I got all 4 for $6.88 less 3 $1 coupons= $0.88 for all four!!!

    • Majun

      I meant 3 $2 coupons ;-)

    • Mandyintn12

I shop WAGS from week to week depending on what i need. I did geta really good deal today..Here the 12 pk of coke products are 3 for $12. and you get one small 8 pk of coke products free… What they dont tell you (even though it is advertised for the entire month of March)  is the March madness $10.00 rr is still in efffect when you buy at least $20.00 in coke products. They have to honor this becasue the deals contridict themselves with the 3 pk get one free saying limit 3… I did this and got my $10.00 RR added two boxes of the Kotex Tampons that had a $3.00 RR and used two of my $1.00 off kotex u coupons….Charmion this week is $2.99 for the 6 double rolls pack. with a .25 cent coupon on each that is $2.74 a pack which i used my register rewards for 6 packs. total i spent $31.14 out of pocket

      • Cl3v3rgirl33

I want to try this deal. Can you tell me where it was listed in case I have problems at the store?

        • Qvadis76

In my WAGS it was still listed right under the Coke products.  I did the deal.  I purchased six 12 pk of coke at 3 for $12 and got two small 8 pk of the coke products free, because if you purchase three you get one free, My total was $24.00.  It automatically takes of the small 8 pks.  I received a $10.00 RR.  So like spending $14.00 for six 12 packs and 2  8 mini-packs.  Nice deal.

      • Cl3v3rgirl33

I want to try this deal. Can you tell me where it was listed in case I have problems at the store?

    • Calhoun220

Apparently, at least at the 4 wags stores I have visited in south ga,
there is an unadvertised special on cortaid through 3/31. The 0.5 oz
size is now 2.99 and the 1 oz is 3.99. There is a ss (1/08/12) $3 q that expires on
3/31 so this would make the 0.5 oz free.  The first wags I tried to use the q at
stated the 0.5oz size was the “trial” size even though it didn’t state
that on the package and it was not in the trial size section of the store. They were out of the 1 oz size.

      I contacted cortaid’s corp office. They couldn’t
tell me if it was or was not the trial size.  They say they only make the 0.5 and 1 oz sizes. So I went to another wags
who overrode the q and changed it’s value to 2.99.  Overall, I went to 3
different wags and purchased six 0.5 oz sizes- no problems.  1 wags didn’t
have the product listed on sale, but it rang up 2.99 anyway.

As a side note – Just today, cortaid corp called me back and said since
the 0.5oz was the smallest size they make, it is considered their trial
size. huh?  So you mean to tell me, manufacturers are now going to consider their smallest size their trial size!!

Went to wags yesterday and tried to buy the Got2B styling products. The store wouldn’t take my coupons. The manager said they called the Got2B company and the $3 coupons were not valid coupons. ??? I told him I cut them out of the newspaper how were they not valid. He said “I don’t know”. Has anyone else experienced this?

That is absolutely untrue. I would call their customer service number (1-800-Walgreens) about this, or go to another Walgreen’s if one is convenient. I just stocked up on Got2B this week with the great deal and had no problems with anyone accepting the Qs. Alternatively, you could call Got2B yourself and see if they tell you the same thing. There was a great deal on these several weeks ago with the same Qs, and I’m sure that if they were not valid, all of these stores would have been made aware of it.

Vicki, Thanks for the information. I wasn’t able to get to another Wags.
