The scotts paper towel coupon dose not show on coupons.com it is for toilet paper. But I found a better coupon for  a 1.50 off a 6 roll package of paper towels here:
      http://www.scottbrand.com/community/savings/scott

      • Naomi

thank you so much!  I didnt see the Q on coupons.com either. this helps so much!

    • Queuepawn

The banana boat printable coupon comes from CVS.com and prints out as a CVS coupon, not a MQ. :(

    • Kristy

Thanks Jenny! I know where I will be on Sunday =)

      • Julie

Can someone please explain how she figured out the Listerine deal? If Listerine costs $3.99 and you get back $1RR and use 2 $1.00 off coupons, wouldn't it cost $1.00? Also how can you use 2 $1.00 off coupons. I am a coupon newbie and would appreciate any help :)

        • Birgit Gilbert

          $2.99

        • Leanna

I am with you. I cannot figure that one either.

        • Srgordon

There is also a RR just for listerine I don't know if it is May or June monthly RR so look into that through another website

    • Etan999

can i go at midnight to sget sunday deals..when i go sunday everything is out..

      • We have a 24 hour store that my sister and I go to sometimes. You actually have to wait until about 1am or 2am in order for the registers to set with the new ad and so the new RRs will start printing. We were going every week and got to know the night manager. He was always very nice and would force print any RRs that didn't print the first time.

    • Frances

How does Walgreens handle B1G1 free coupons on a B1G1 free product (ie on the Right Guard B1G1 free, use B1G1 free coupon = Free?)?

The Walgreens Coupon Policy states “When items are featured in a Buy One, Get One Free promotion, up to two
coupons can be used against the items being purchased, as long as the
net price does not go below zero for the items being purchased.”  It does not say anything about how Walgreens handles B1G1 free coupons when the product is B1G1 free already.

      • Loyal2disney

When you use the B1G1 coupon, you are technically using the coupon on the item you are paying for, then when the store also does the B1G1, it would make both items free.  The total shouldn't ever fall below zero so there should not be a problem with using the b1g1 coupon.

      • jobo

        I've used a B1G1 q on a B1G1 sale many times

      • HollyO

At my store I was told I have to buy one and they will give me a second free from Wags and a third free on the Q. That makes is 3 for the price of one rather than getting both free as other people seem to be able to do. Wags policy is not clear. You'll probably just have to try it at your store and see what happens.

    • There was an insert in 5/22 with a $1 off 2 Walgreens coupon on the crackerfuls, makes for an even sweeter deal! :)

      • Mandi

WooHoo!  Sure was…  SS 5/22!  Sweet!

      • lisa

where is the wags coupon at ?

      • Diane

the problem is that you'd only get 1 $2 RR back, so you would spend $1 after the 3 Qs, and get $2 RR back.  You're better off just doing one at a time without the wags Q

        • Thank you Diane, I'm still new to this and missed that!

    • A B1G1 coupon would make both items free, you just pay sales tax. The item doesn't technically go below zero so there are no issues

    • Denise

I have 2 questions for anyone that can give me the answer: 1. Are in-ad coupons not counted towards the coupon count (since there has to be the same amount of coupons as products)?  and 2. When will the June coupon booklet be released in the stores?  Thanks in advance!

      • jobo

in-ad qs are not counted in your q count.  the new book usually comes out the first of the month

        • Denise

          thanks!

    • Denise

I have been having such a hard time with Walgreens that I am about to give up on them and just shop at CVS.  I am going to give it one last try this Sunday  and use the exact 4 transactions above to see if it goes smoothly.  Is the sales tax added in to the transactions because transaction 1 is not matching up for me?

      • Loyal2disney

No, she does not include sales tax in her figures.  I'm assuming she doesn't figure in the sales tax with her totals since sales tax would be different for everyone depending on where you live.

      • Publix Chick

I am right there with you when it comes to Walgreens. Last time I checked out I was only doing 1 transaction and a manager had to come and ring me up. The cashier scanned the coupons out of order and the register wouldn't take any of my manufacturer coupons. I think that the RR deals are great sometimes, but this is one of the harder stores to shop. I don't need that kind of stress anymore.

    • Mamajil

I have a question if I buy 3 boxes of crackerfuls will I get 6 register rewards or do I need to purchase the crackers in 3 separate transactions???

      • Denise

It has to be 3 separate transactions and you cannot use the RR from the previous transactions or another one will not print.

      • Diane

sadly, you have to do them separately.  Also, if you use the rr from crackerfuls to get anothercrackerful, the rr won't print

    • Galveston 2000

anyone know which restarants are included in the offer with prevacid ?

      • Savingsmartshopper

It's based on your zip code to which you qualify for…we had a great mexican lunch for $2.00 plus top today for our family of 3!

        • Galveston 2000

thanks-didn't want to buy it and the rests in new york city!

    • Denise

are in-ad/store coupons counted towards the number of coupons to products??

      • jobo

        no

        • Denise

          thanks

    • Diane

Did anyone see the icy hot Q in the 5/1 AJC?  Maybe I missed it?

      • Diane

Nevermind; I found it.  I I didn't know the 5/1 Purina insert was the other ss.

        • Greg

          Mine didn't have it…:(

          • Diane

did you look in the one that says purina on the front?

    • Rachelho822

June Walgreens coupon booklet expires at 5/28/11 so we can't use it on Sunday .

      • Sarah

are you sure that's not may's? dont think a june book can expire before june starts but maybe I'm wrong

      • Liz

that's the May booklet you're talking about.  hopefully they'll have the june one out early.

    • Teresa

I always seem to have trouble with Walgreens, and all their “rules”! For the Ecotrin, is it better to give the in-ad coupon first, and then the mq or the other way around in order to get the overage?

      • 1happyshopper

always give the store q last

    • Melanie

Anyone know the best place to use my B1G1 Old Spice Body Wash and my B1G1 Body Wash/ Deodorant? They expire 5/31.

      • Melanie

Meant to say Gilette on the second

      • Hawleys4

I found at Target they have 1 and 1/2 bottles of old spice for 2.80 and the coupon worked.  It is on a clearance end cap at the target in Memphis.

        • Melanie

          thank you!

        • Melanie

          thank you!

    • Guest

I have never done Walgreen's before because the coupon and register rewards policy seem so confusing.  I have been mainly shopping CVS, but this add is so great this week, that I think I'm going to give it a try.  My son goes to summer camp in a few weeks and I really want to get him some of those Off clip ons.  I pray it works out.

      • Tera

It works, if you're patient! I always screw up the register somehow! LOL! But the cashiers are usually patient with me.  Print off Jenny's suggestion on what order to give them your coupons, it usually helps!

    • Queuepawn

the banana boat printable coupon is from CVS's website and prints as a CVS coupon not a MQ :(

    • Katkoupon

Will foil be any cheaper than 99c anytime soon?

    • Queuepawn

scott naturals paper towel coupon is no longer there–at least I can't find it and I haven't printed it.

      • Marie

it may be gone, I saw it there yesterday but I checked to see if it is under my zip and it isn't there anymore.

      • Srgordon

Mine was also in the newspaper but you can get a $1.50 off at the scott website unless it is gone already

    • Faye

      Zipcode for Scott Paper Towels?

      • Amierenee

        it is gone : (
there were some though in last weeks paper I believe.

      • Liz

i just printed it!  i clicked “no thanks” when it asked for my zip and it was the first one to pop up under “household.”

    • Jenny

I am new to walgreen's deals. Can i get more than one register reward or do i have to ring them up in separate transactions? Ex: If contact solution has $3.00 in register rewards and razors have $5.00 will both register rewards print if i do them in one transaction? I know if its 2 of the same product ie..2 contacts it will not but was not sure on unrelated items.  Also can i redem more than one register reward per transcation. Ex: If I earn the 8.00 can I then apply those 2 register rewards for $8.00 to my next purchase???

      • Amierenee

Yes to your first question; as long as they are different items, you should receive both RR, but as you said, you would not get more than one RR per transaction on the same item, so split similar items into different transactions.
You can redeem more than 1 RR per transaction, but you have to have enough items to use all coupons against (RR are considered manufacturer's coupons).  So for example, if I am buying 5 items, and using a MFG Q on each one of those items, but then I want to apply two different RR coupons to the total as well, I would include two small filler items (like 25cent popcorn) so that the two RR can attach to those items.
One thing you can't do though is use RR earned on products in one transaction to pay for the same items in another transaction.  For example, if I buy the Gillete ProGlide razor in transaction 1 and get the $5RR back, I cannot then buy another of the same razors in transaction 2 and use that first RR to pay for it.
Hope that all makes sense; it took me forever to figure out Walgreens, and it's still a pain in the “you know what”.

      • Liz

yes, if they are different sales, all the RR will print in one transaction.  You CAN turn around and use them in your next transaction as long as you have the same number of coupons to items ratio (RR are treated as Manufacturer coupons).  This is where the 20 cent “filler” items come in to even out your coupon to item ratios.  (also, as a sidenote, if you use the RR you just got from an item to purchase the exact same item again, the RR will not print again in that transaction.  so, i just try never to use my RR to buy the same thing i received them from….alternate them!) HTH

        • Jenny

What is the coupons to items ratio? 2 coupons only? One manf one store

          • Liz

yes, you are allowed a manufacturer coupon and store coupon per item.  so, for example, if you want to buy the OFF clip ons, and you have the $2 off manufacturer coupon, the coupon in the may booklet, AND a register reward to use toward it, you would have to get a filler item because the register reward counts as a manufacturer coupon.  you can't have 2 manufacturer coupons for one item.  hence, get a cheap filler item that the RR can be paired with….but when scanned it will still come off your whole total.

            • Srgordon

Use manufacturer coupons first or you will have to buy an addtional item

    • MaysonD

I get 20+ inserts each week from family and friends – I have extras on the Scott paper towel coupons I'll be glad to drop in the mail if you need one. People have done the same for me and I try to pay it forward!

      • AC

Hi…I would love to have one of the coupons, if you don't mind.  My email is lisa_smile17@yahoo.com and if you'll shoot me an email I'll get you my address, or you can post your email here and I'll shoot it over to you.  Thanks!

      • Jenblack2003

I would like 2????  Send me an email … jenblack2003 at yahoo dot com

    • staceyf

I was told this today by my local store manager in response to me not getting RR's last week. So to me, shopping at Walgreens seems pointless with coupons unless it is an unreal deal.

      ” A Register
Reward is a manufacturers coupon, and some manufacturers will not allow
another coupon to be used in conjunction with the purchase of an item that also
generates a Register Reward.   These limitations are not set by
Walgreens nor can they be controlled at store level.  My instructions to my
cashiers are simple, if presented with a coupon, scan it.  If the
conditions for the coupon are met, the register will accept it.  The issue
that happens with a Register Reward is – the Rewards are given
after the sale, based on your purchase. When a coupon is presented for an item
during the purchase the register will accepted it because the
conditions have been met, you are buying the item.  After the purchase the
Register Reward will not always print because one of the conditions
“allowing only 1 coupons per item” will not be meet if a Reward is
      issued.”

      • lynnd

You can't use, for ex….this week, an $8 RR from the Complete Solution to buy another Complete. Well actually, you can, but you won't get another. They don't 'roll'. Also, they are man. coupons so when buying only one product you can't use them in conjunction with another man. coup. Only one man coup per item at the Wag. Hope this helped!

        • staceyf

I didn't use any RR's, I didn't have any left. I used coupons from the newspaper on the Listerine and the Suave, didn't get any RR's. From what I understood from shopping there before, I could do that. It's not a big deal, we have several CVS's in town and eventually all of this stuff will be on sale there with ECB's, that I will get.

    • Nicole

On the 3rd Transaction, where is she getting the $2 RR?  With the Listerine you get $1RR and w/ the Degree deodorant you get $5RR.  Shouldn't the total be $6 RR not $8 RR?  Am I missing something?

      • Srgordon

There's another 2 RR for buying Listerine I think it might be a month long deal so you might have to wait until June

        • Tera

I think it is a month long RR, however, when you have to be careful, when I bought it last weekend, the $2 RR was only on a specific Listerine, not any of them.  I believe it was the “Whitening and Restoring”.  You might want to ask before you buy because I had to return the 2 wrong ones and then purchase the correct ones to get the RR.

    • ireneY

Great week for deals! And there's a new friendly cashier at my closest store. What a difference it makes in shopping experience! She helped me find the $2 Scrunci bands and suggested the 2-for-1 packages give RRs too. She even patiently waited for me to hunt down a filler. I'm going to learn her name and send a compliment to corporate. It's amazing how one friendly employee can make up for a bunch of grumpies!

    • I'm so confused…. I'm new to this, how am I supposed to use RR when I haven't been shopping here before?… And when it says ” SS 4/17″ or a date like that, I go back but I can't find the coupon that it says should be there. HELP. I really want to do this and understand!

      • Sarah

you have to first buy something that gives you a register reward in order to use it. if you have never shopped at walgreens before, buy the cheapest thing that will give you a register reward (that you actually want). maybe the crackerfulls? also, not every coupon insert is the exact same for everyone..it can vary by location. if you're sure you have the smart source from 4/17 (should be written in tiny print on the outside binding), then you probably just didnt get that one in your area. if its something you REALLY want, you can always buy a bunch of them through ebay or something like that

      • Diane

Courtney, at the top of this post there is a getting started guide for wags.  It will clear up all of your questions.  Have fun with it; this is great once you know the rules.

    • Cnews4u

On Trans #3. It says to buy 4 degree, use 2 B1G1 and 2 .75/1. If you are using the B1G1 on 2 and getting the other 2 free, then how are you using the .75/1 also. I tried something like this a few weeks ago and was told I had to choose which coupon I wanted to use. Can you explain?

      • Tera

the .75/1 Qs apply to the first 2 you buy, you get .75 off each one.  The B1G1 Qs apply to the other 2 you are buying, allowing you to get those 2 for free!  A total of 4 all together, but you are only paying for 2, minus $1.50!

      • I like to think of it as coupons “attaching” to items. So the B1G1 coupons attach to the free item and the .75/1 attaches to the other one- the one you are actually purchasing.

Another, different example- If it was a coupon that was $2/2…that would attach to BOTH items, which means you couldn't use any other MFC.

      • Kristina McCurley

Technically you are buying 4 deodorants – you can give them the coupon for the $1.00 off first, then give them the B1G1's.  The B1G1 applys to the free item, not the purchased item which means that another mfg. coupon can be applied to it.  If you do it in this order, neither the cashier nor the register should get confused.  :)

    • Jjrutt

Do in ad coupons count toward your ration of coupons and items?

      • Jen

        No they do not

        • Owensmommy

Can I use 2 store coupons for 1 item?

    • Stadtermanj

A lot of these deals use coupons from the June walgreens coupon booklet. Are they going to work since it's still May?

      • Srgordon

        yes start on May 29

    • Beauwolter

Crackerfuls have a store only coupon 1.00 off 2 in last Sunday's SS, awesome deal!

    • Zalovar

I had a quick question about the RR that happened to me last week.  I attempted to do the Advil deal where you buy two and get $5 RR back.  So I bought two Advil, used the $4/2 off man coupon and then used my $5 RR from last week that I got from getting the Gillette Proglide.  Anyway, I didn't get the RR for the Advil when I checked out (i bought some candy bars in the same transaction).  I called walgreens corporate and yesterday the store manager called me and told me that it didn't print out because having used the $4/2 and RR brought the 'total too low' and that's why it didn't print out.  I didn't see anything in the coupon policy that describes this scenario so I was wondering what everyone's thoughts were and whether it's worth pursuing.   Thanks!!

      • staceyf

The same thing happened to me with different products. The manager sent me an email saying that because I used coupons, I could not get the RR. I posted his email in this comments area. I am done with Walgreens, what's the point? If I can't use Q's and get a RR, I would rather wait until the same products go on sale at CVS with ECB's. I did not use any RR's in my transaction, only Q's from the paper like everyone else. So I didn't get a great deal and I am not happy about it.

        • Naomi

this happened to me to, I emailed Catalina.  They tried to dance around the issue giving me nonsensical explanations.  I finally spelled it out:  I use x coupon, and you policy states that it is ok.  Finally, the sent me one via mail.

          • staceyf

The manager told me that a RR is a MQ and therefore, when I use MQ's from the paper, I cannot get an RR, and this was the Manufacturer's fault, not Walgreens. Funny that I can get ECB's and Ups though.  I have emailed Catalina to see, but in the end I spent way too much time on this and need to just stick with the stores that are friendly.

            • Zalovar

After thoroughly reviewing the walgreens coupon policy again, I went back up to Walgreens and tried it again.  This time I used other RRs again and a MQ and once again it didn’t print out.  After speaking to the manager for a few minutes and her trying to figure out what happened she went to the back, came back and handed me the $5 RR.  She said that the system didn’t rpint one because the Advil I picked up was the 40 ct that had the bonus caps in it (20 extra caps) but it ws the itme that was on sale.  Not sure I buy that explanation but so far I’ve gotten two different versions so I’m not sure they know what’s going on.  either way, lesson learned, talk to manager and mention their policy and they ‘should’ fix it for you….but do it before you leave the store.  it is a bit of a hassle so from now on they really have to have a good deal for me to wanna deal with this again.

      • Joanna in CHS

I did the same transaction used RRs to pay for it and the RRS for the advil printed for me.  Did you buy the quantity per bottle that was indicated on the RR coupon?  40-50ct I think.

      • Kristina Mccurley

You can email a copy of your receipt to coupon at catalina marketing dot com and explain which catalina did not print.  They will mail you one within a week or so.  I had the same problem with the Listerine last week.

    • Ltrotter8518

I learned that at my Walgreens, if an item is on sale for $.99, you cannot use a $1.00 off Q on the item unless the coupon allows the cashier to type in an amount and write it on the Q. If not, the register beeps and won't take it.

      • Bianca

The same thing happened to me…The cashier said that even if I have other items that I am buying I still can't use the Q because it exceeds the cost of the item. I also had this issue at Target.

        • Emileigh

More of their policy from their website: The coupon amount must be reduced if it exceeds the value of the item after other discounts or coupons are applied. (For example, a $5.00 coupon for a $4.99 item will result in a $4.99 coupon value).

      • Liz

but you CAN according to THEIR coupon policy…..i am copying straight from it…

“In the event that any item's selling price is less than the value of the coupon, Walgreens will only accept the coupon in exchange for the selling price of the item.”

Print the policy and take it with you!

    • Squirrellyec

My Walgreens had up tags at ALL RR products this week.  Only one transaction for RR.  These were printed cards, so it may start applying to all Walgreens.  The cashier allowed me to do 2 transactions since I was getting different RRs in each, but for example I can't get do transaction #1 and get RR for ritz and then do another transaction to get that RR again.  It would have to be separate shopping trips.  Some managers are only allowing 1 transaction at a time.  This did allow for them to actually have most items in stock.

      • Megan

I actually do this anyway, I spread out my transactions over a few different stores, and very true it does allow each store to keep more product on shelves for others!

      • ireneY

At last, they are doing something about the shelf-clearing!! It's a welcome change, IMHO.

        • surfergal

I agree.  It's been so difficult to take advantage of any of the recent Walgreens sales because the shelves are always empty (sometimes as early as Sunday morning).  Boo! The Walgreens stores in my area have made similar changes.  Hoarding is just pure greed…so i'm glad to see the changes.

        • BoxerMom

we are implementing that policy too. I hate my regulars having to miss out on the sales because we have shelf clearers on Sunday. I think everyone deserves a chance to get our deals even if we only have a limited supply on hand

    • Jenney

The deals are great only if my Walgreens has any of those on the shelf. I went there last Wednesday to get some lunchable deals and was told they had been all gone by Sunday morning which was the first day of the sales and the truck wasn't coming until the following Monday. The manager suggest me to go to Walmart to get a price match for that. What a joke!!!!

      • Megan

I learned this the hard way as well, and now I go every Sunday morning and have no problems!

      • Pinkchick82686

I went so many times to get free right guard body wash.  it was crazy.  I finally did get them and still waiting on clean and clear to be re stocked.  I was told by all the wallgreens in my area that they are limiting to toal of 4 items when there is a big sale and coupon.  they are trying to make it fair for everyone.

    • lisa

where is the wags coupon for the crackerfulls is it in the ss insert or where please help not in my insert thanks ahead for help

      • Liz

if you can't find it, the one on facebook for 75 cents is still printing just fine.

    • Eecarver47

Where is the “Get More From Your Pharmacy” booklet?  Is it at Walgreens or another store?

      • Teecee

I've never used it, but I saw it mentioned on the CVS ad comments this week. People say they find it at the Kroger pharmacy.

    • Avaldez100

I'm confused about the Listerine deal, so do you get $1RR for buying each mouthwash listed & in addition you either get $2RR/1 or $4RR/2 Listerine products?

      • Ashley

I am confused as well, I think the extra RR is a month long special. It just depends on which month!

    • Babyjess96

Question!  Does a RR count as a Q? On transaction #1 she is purchasing 4 items but has 5 Q's, some being RR. I thought you had to buy as many items as Q or does a RR not count as a Q.

      • Rudydoescakes

A wags coupon doesn't count against you.  So you can buy one item and use a wags q and a mani q, and it will go through.  But you cannot buy one item and use a RR and a mani q b/c they are both considered mani q's.  Get it?

      • cathy

Yes, the RR counts as a Q.  But the reason there are 5 is that one is a store coupon.  You can use one manufacturer & one store Q per item.  So there are 4 items, 4 man Q, and 1 store Q.

        Hope this helps!

    • April

I didn't see this listed but Walgreens will have the Oxi Clean for 2.99 and there is a coupon for 3.00 dollare off 2 product. So 1.50 each great deal.

      • caroilnagirl

Where is the coupon that you are rreferring too?

        • Tiffany

          in SS 4/17

    • Lynda

How do I get a Walgreens coupon booklet?  I didn't see any there when I went last.  I don't shop there often, but would like to start taking advantage of their deals.

      • Stephanie

They are usually on the  rack in the front of the store with the weekly  ad. if not ask a cashier for one.  hope this helps!

      • BoxerMom

they for some reason went fast at our store this month. Its best to grab it at the beginning of the month, I’d either tell the cashier the 4 digit code or have them scan the coupon from the book. I never tear mine out or make my customers tear them out. It saves their book for them to continue using the rest of the month. Especially if we run out. If you buy more then one of the same items the coupon will deduct the coupon total times the number of items you bought.

      • Cori C.

I think some people take a bunch of them at once. But you only need one coupon book because even if you buy lfor ex., 4 of the same item you don’t need 4 of those store Q’s. The one coupon will apply to all the products.

    • wendyc33

I have b1g1 right guard body wash coupons. With walgreens b1g1, does that mean both free just tax? Dont usually shop walgreens much. thanks

      • Humphries April

My walgreens wouldn't let me use the b1g1 coupon…said it's coupon fraud..never heard that before.

        • Melanie

Just call the customer relations department for Walgreens. Thats what I did and they will tell them that it is their policy to take these B1G1 coupons. Take the phone number and call them while you are in the store. Sad that the managers don't know their own policy!!!

      • Pinkchick82686

they had this same deal a few weeks ago and yes they will both be free.

    • Carol_R

Does anyone know is Banana Boat will still be on sale for $7.99 next week? If so, it's a better deal for their B1G1 starting Sunday. Otherwise, it might be better to do the deal they've got this week with the $10RR. I've got $1 coupons for 3 Banana Boat suncare items.

    • laura

There's a $2 off Excedrin in the May Savings book combined with the paper coupon and $1 off makes it only .99 cents…but will they let me use all three??

      • Teecee

Probably not. You can use one store coupons with one manufacturer's coupon. The ones in the ads count as store coupons so you can use one paper coupon too. The ones from the Wags monthly savings books usually get counted as manufacturer's coupons, not store coupons — in my store, anyway.

        • laura

This is their policy: *note the coupon(S)
When purchasing a single item, Walgreens accepts one manufacturer
coupon and applicable Walgreens coupon(s) for the purchase of a single item, unless prohibited
          by either coupon offer.
I gathered this as: scan the ad coupon to get the price ($3.99), and then use the manufacturer's and store coupon …

          • MomOf1

The coupons in the monthly savings book do not count as manufacturer coupons.  The ones in the monthly savings book are called in-store coupons, the ones in the weekly ad are called ad coupons, if you hear an employee say either you will know what they are referring to.  And you NEVER want to use the in-store coupons or the ad coupons before your manufacturer coupons.  ALWAYS use the manufacturer coupons first!  I will try to explain this without confusion… Let's say Dawn is on sale for $1, and there is an ad coupon that will make it $0.49.  You have a $1 off manufacturer coupon for Dawn.  If you use the ad coupon first the register will take the price down to $0.49, when you hand over the manufacturer coupon and the cashier scans it, it will beep and not take it.  And I know you are saying that Walgreens is suppose to change the price of the coupon and make it $0.49, and they should and most do, however to get the most out of this coupon… Let's say you need more than Dawn this week, the other items are just things you need and you don't have coupons for them.  Ring them all together.  Give your manufacturer coupon of $1, it goes through with no problems, then have them scan the ad coupon and it will change the price of the Dawn to $0.49.  So in turn you got $0.50 more than you should just because your total amount due was higher.  That $0.50 was taken off of the other items you needed already and didn't have a coupon for.  Now this is not a filler transaction I am talking about, those filler items are usually less than $0.25 so most of them will not work.  This will work if you are having to get something else that you don't have a coupon for and it's just an item you need.  I know this works first hand.

    • WendyW

Okay so I am new to this also, how does the b1g1 work?I also have the right guard bw b1g1 with walgreens b1g1.What do i buy? I have 3 coupons..thanks!

      • Melanie

The B1G1 will make both items free. You pay the tax. Just a little advice. Go to Walgreens.com and print out the coupon policy and keep it with you. Also have the number for customer relations. If you have problems with them taking the coupons, just call. Some managers dont know their own policy!

    • laura

Is that a good price for the Domino Sugar 4 lb bag? To me it seems like it but I'm not sure..?!

      • Teecee

In my area that is a good price — you'd pay $3+ at Kroger. Wags used to have it $1.99 when they did the coupons, but everything is going up…

    • Jkc0426

I am a newbee when it comes to rolling over RR at Walgreens. I am going to be doing a couple transactions. What is the best way to save the most money when doing separate transactions? Thanks!

      • Kcreviews

Just make sure when you are using a RR, that it's not for an item you are purchasing again, because they won't take it. For example if you're buying P&G products, make sure your RRs are NOT from P&G products but from Unilever or Coke or Aveeno or whatever. And make sure you don't have more than one manu q per item.

        • Rchampion

just a note also, on the RR from like P&G, they will actually take it, it just won't give you another. I've messed myself up a coupla times like this. lol

      • BoxerMom

P&G holds the market on almost everything lol. If you aren't sue which products are P&G look at the back of the package or ask a cashier lol. Unfortunately since i have worked for Walgreens for 10 years i know all of the P&G product lines lol

    • Temilyn

can u use RR from one walgreens at another walgreens? Also if I get RRs from 5 deals I should be able to use all 5 RRs on the calcium pills if I have 4 fillers Is that right? Thanks in advance.

      • 80srokkergirl

I have used Register Rewards from Walgreens at another one across town and have never had any problems. Good luck!

    • Temilyn

can u use RR from one walgreens at another walgreens? Also if I get RRs from 5 deals I should be able to use all 5 RRs on the calcium pills if I have 4 fillers Is that right? Thanks in advance.

      • Kcreviews

        Yes to both I think.

    • Kcreviews

I think I'm going to skip Wags again this week. I'm tired of the RR game. I spend way too much time trying to get everything right before I go in. There may be lots of free stuff there, but I don't need any of it and really don't want much of it, so I'm passing. Happy shopping to everyone else.

    • Honieb06

BC powder on Facebook “Like” and get a $2 off cpn for 16 ct or larger

      • Mcleodsc

Isn't the size on sale a 6 pack?

        • Kenzbug

Yes is it.  The $1 coupon is for the 16 ct so it wouldn't work.

    • Cherry

        • BoxerMom

no the size on sale is a single packet

    • Cynthia

Confused about the Kellog's cereal.  The sale is 8.7-15 oz, but the $1 off Frosted Flakes is for 16.3 oz.  Not sure how this coupon is going to work for this sale.  Can someone help me out, please?

      • Paige

Usually Jenny just puts all of the coupons that match the wording of “Kellogg's”

    • Kristina McCurley

Okay last week I had an awesome trip to WAG – twice!  Ended up with a little more than $200 worth of items for right around $35.
I just started couponing a few weeks ago so I don't have some of the older inserts.  That being said, I've devised my plan for this week:

I have $3 in RR's from last week FYI

      Transaction #1
      (1) Applied Nutrition Calcium 90ct. $10.00 – $5.00 WAG June Book(1) Royal Gelatin $.20(1) BC Powder $1.50OOP – 3.70 (after $3.00 in RR's from last week)Get $11.50 in RR's ($10, $1.50)

      Transaction #2
      (1) Listerine Whitening $3.99 – $1.00 coupon(4) Gillette Deodorants $3.79 – (2) $1.00 printable coupon & (2) B1G1 coupons(1) Royal Gelatin $.20
      (1) Icy Hot $.99(1) Coffee Cafe $2.00
      Use $11.50 in RR's making OOP $.18
      Get $11 in RR's ($2, $1, $5, $1, $2)

Transaction #3(1) Gillette Fusion ProGlide Razor System $9.89 – $4.00 coupon
      (1) Scott Naturals 6-Pack $3.99 – $1.00 coupon
      (1) Royal Gelatin $.20
      (4) Arizona Ice Tea B1G1 $.99
      Use $11 in RR's making OOP $.06
Get $5.00 in RR's for next week.

      • Jaxlaw

Thanks Kristina, but not sure you have to buy the gelatin. Doesn't look like you need a filler item in the 1st transaction, you have two and items and one coupon, unless of course you just want the gelatin :-)

        • Kristina McCurley

Good point — I have two seperate RR's from last week so I assumed I would have to have one.  I normally just bring a couple to the register and use them if I need them.

          • Haleys100

You can get the Gelatin Free ( Then it wouldnt be a filler) but there are $1/5 blinkies out there, I got mine off ebay. AND THEN IT IS FREE! I have tons from past sales!

            • Savygirl

Even with the coupon, the galatin can be used as a filler to use RRs. There's only one coupon for the five packs you're getting, so it's four filler if needed. This will not work however if you need the type of filler to boost your cost like from 5.95 to 6.00 so you can use a $6 RR.

            • Brooke

Actually I think the walgreens registers are smart, it will link the $1/5 coupon to all 5 boxes of Jello (at least that is my experience in the past)

    • Nicky

There is also a $2.00 off Hawaiin tropic coupon in  the new beauty coupon book at wags… =)

    • Julie

Why don't I see the Scott's paper towel coupon when I go to the website?  Is it becuase of my zip code?

      • showme the savings

Scott Paper Towels do not have a coupon in Walgreens ad, it will just ring up for $3.99 on Sunday & Monday ONLY!!!!  After Monday it will be it's regular price of $5.00.

      • BoxerMom

on coupons.com? Theres a $1.50 off on the scott’s website, so its an even better deal with 2 pups in the house i clean alot of little mess up lol

    • Jclay

I am new to Walgreens and had trouble last week b/c they said I couldn't use two manufacturer coupons. So now I have a $2.00 to use.  So my question is when you use a filler item does the rest of the money off go towards the rest of your purchase or do loose what is left?

      • Liz

it goes toward your whole total.  it just has to be one manufacturer coupon PER item….the RR can attach to something small like a taffy for 10 cents, but you will still get your full RR discount off your total.  HTH!

    • Cathy

I was excited to see the Ritz Crackerfuls deal above since I'm interested in trying them out.  I headed to Walgreens today to pick up some other items and decided to check out how many of the Ritz Crackerfuls boxes they had on the shelves.  I have noticed (like many others) that the Walgreens sale items have been mostly out of stock.  Today – even 2 days BEFORE the deals starts – there are NO Ritz Crackerfuls at the only Walgreens in town!  Not even 1 box!

I asked a sales associate if they would be getting any in before Sunday and she said that they already had their truck deliveries for the week so they wouldn't get new stock until mid next week.  Such a disappointment!!!!

      • Honeysmith

This ALWAYS happens to me! If they are going to offer something on sale, they should have them in stock!

      • Jaxlaw

Hmmm…I also looked for the Applied Nutrition Calcium supplement today and could not find it in the store or even a shelf space for it. Luckily I have about 4 walgreens to choose from here.

        • Clint

It was shipped to our stores in a shipper display.  We dont usually put them our until say sale starts.  Ask employee or manager for help locating them.  They may have to find shipper with product.  It was shipped to my store about 2-3 weeks ago.  If employees cant find product, have the manager check on hands.  Our inventory should be correct since this is a newer product.

        • BoxerMom

we just added those in out recent vitamin reset that came down last week. and again we only got about 10 in. I tried ordering up to keep our shelf  full and again got nothing in :(

      • Kilaqpons

Walgreens doesn't seem too concerned with the whole “supply and demand” concept.  I walk out of there dissapointed more often than not!  VERY frustrating.  And they just don't seem to really care. Seems like a missed opportunity on their part….people want their advertised deals!!

        • Clint

Thats tough to hear because not all Walgreens are the same.  I actually come on this site to give information about what to expect on Ad day hoping that some of my customers may read.  I also come here to see what deals are gonna be hot so I can order as much product as I can.  But….when I printed new ad tags today, we had an ad apology for Ritz Crackerfuls.  Our warehouse doesnt have stock to suppy us with the amount of product we know we will need.  When I read the apology, I freak out….because nothing makes me happier than having what my coupon customers want and need.  They are very important to me.  If you've had bad experiences at your local WAG, I apologize for you on behalf of a company that really does care.  But we arent perfect.  Just as any company or business runs into unexpected problems, we too are human.  We may not always get it right, but we do pretty well at store level.  Appreciate your understanding

          • Melissa

Clint – where's your store located?

            • Kenzbug

Wish is was in Macon GA.  They need a good manager there.

          • Kilaqpons

Thanks Clint, for your reply.  I wonder if our store manager might be open to meeting and discussing some of this?? Although, from what I understand, our shipments are on Tuesdays…too early to pre-order extra “deal” stock and too late to get backup supply.  <sigh></sigh>

          • RebeccaFer

Wow! I seriously, seriously, seriously (and let me just say I mean seriously) wish I had even one of the managers at a Wags near me who was as awesome as you sound! I have stores I stay away from because I've literally cried when treated so badly. Granted, I was having a really hard time that day but I just stay away from that store because that wasn't the first time that assistant manager gave me the evil eye because I had more than one or two coupons. :( Other stores are ok but I have yet to find a Wags that I love. I'm sure your customers love you when you take the time to find out what is going to keep them coming back. Bravo to you! :D

          • Tala

It's should called false advertising. People will come to the store because they saw it in the add and on the walgreens website. So why wallgreens will not put applogy on their web and take it from the 2 days add which they are delivering in the mail? They just want that you  will walk to the store and buy something.

      • BoxerMom

They manufacturer didnt produce enough to supply our warehouses with the ritz crackerfuls. Its not the stores fault that there's an insufficient stock on them. Alot of the time I myself order a ton of the register reward items to keep our store in ample supply for the week and honestly sometimes I'm lucky to get half of what i ordered in. Not only is it frustrating for all of you guys our customers, but its frustrating for us too. There's only so much we can do when warehouse doesn't have enough to send every store. If there is something thats an extra great deal im sure if you contact the store manager in time they can try and order up. My store's truck wont come till saturdays now so if we run out we wont get a replenishment till the last day of the ad :(

        • Cori C.

I have heard this same thing from my Walgreens cashiers…they say they didnt have the product in stock before the sale started and won't be getting a truck until 5 days later, in other words, right before the sale ends! Why would they put items on sale that they know they don't have sufficient stock?

        • Shortye_80

Sounds like WAGS should not advertise things on sale that THEY KNOW THEY WILL NOT HAVE – no matter what the reason is.  And rainchecks are not much good if the store doesnt have the product in stock until after your coupons expire.  It makes lots of consumers just “ad match” at Walmart … I hate shopping at Walmart but the last few weeks I have gone just for “ad match” purposes due to Walgreens and CVS being out of the products I want to purchase :-/

        • ireneY

The warehouse issue has nothing to do with the manufacturers, in most instances. Walk into any grocery store to find shelves full of Ritz Crackerfuls, even on an awesome BOGO sale. Wags corporate management has left the stores between a rock and a hard place. You should take up the issue further up the chain rather than accept the shortage issue as a fact of operation.

      • Amber

There was sign in my store this AM that the crackerfuls are short from the manufacturer so they might not have any in stock.  My store had about 6 of them but thats it.

    • mom0f6

Do you do all of your transactions in a row during the same shopping trip at the same store?  Have you ever had any trouble?  Maybe I'm still too new to couponing or just don't have the guts.  Please share your experiences!  I've been going to different stores for each transaction.  It is also a pain when they are out of what I'm looking for!  :-)

      • Rchampion

sometimes i do one to three transactions then make my husband or friend go with me. lol it depends a LOT on the checkout person so when you start shopping there a lot you will know when you can without a hassle. just a note if you can find out what days their stock trucks come in and go around 1-2 in the afternoon, I have found that there isnt hardly anyone in there, so most of my store's ppl dont mind HTH Happy couponing!!! :)

      • Mary

Oh, don't go to different stores!  You'll wear yourself out!   My Wags is fabulous, and when they see me with my stack of coupons, they'll frequently direct me to the cosmetics check-out so I don't hold up the line with coupons.  If this option isn't available, just tell the cashier when you get to the register that you plan to do multiple transactions.  Then be respectful of other customers, and after your first transaction, go to the end of the line if anyone is waiting behind you.  Repeat as many times as necessary!   It's still faster than driving all over town (and you won't waste your savings on gas).  Believe me, as popular as couponing has become, the cashiers are totally used to people doing multiple transactions!

      • Landrethelaine

You can do many transactions at once.  I went this morning and did 5 in a row!

    • sharon

Does anyone know a  way to print the walgreen ad so i can take it to wal mart for matching prices.  Ive only been able to print it in huge pages with no date on them

    • Kellylwebb

Does Walgreeen's allow overage? I notice you say 'profit' so i'm wondering where that profit goes…

      • Cheapmofo

The register rewards.  See that RR everywhere?  That is money back of some kind.  I don't shop at Walgreens, because the one near me is terrible, but I imagine it is like CVS ECB.

        • Brooke

Yes it is like a CVS ECB, but it is a manufactor coupon (compared to a store coupon at CVS) and they are only good for 2 weeks (compared to a month at CVS)

      • Kilaqpons

They don't allow overage…but you take into consideration the amount spent out of pocket vs what you get back in RRs.  For Example:  Crackerfuls are $2.00 with a $2.00 RR – if you also use your $1/1 coupon, you actually MAKE a dollar on the deal!

    • Kilaqpons

Wow…fantastic break down on Walgreens…thanks!  Now, if only they'll have SOME of these items in stock!
Any reason you can't do the B1G1 deal on the Off! Clip On Refills?  Your scenario only listed using one on the Clip On. By my calculations, you could get 2 Clip Ons (3.99) and 2 Refill Packs (1.99) for under $6.00 – right?  (Cheaper than I paid for my original clip on alone, btw!!)  Thanks!

      • Kilaqpons

Sorry…should look at the coupons closer…see now the B1G1 is only on the starter kit!  Whoooops!  ;-)

    • lala

can I do these transactions one after the other?? I thought I couldn't use RR's the same day I get them? Sorry but I'm a newbie to couponing! TIA

      • showme the savings

You can use them as soon as you get them.  Just remember if you get a RR from a Colgate purchase don't use it on another Colgate purchase or you won't get another RR

        • lala

          thanks!!

    • Nocurtain

could someone tell me what items are going to be included on the “get $4RR when you buy $16 in scotch products?”  i was looking at another website that posts pics of the ad and can't seem to find this listed. jenny- is this an unadvertised deal perhaps?

      • Nocurtain

        i meant to say “3M products.” :)

        • Brooke

I saw a picture of this on the iheartwags site, so it is advertised…I don't know that it said exactly what was a “qualifying product”.  The last time there was a deal similar to this that said generically “qualifying product”, I bought products that were the correct brand, but then the RR didn't print, but the manager gave me a gift card for the value of the RR, since the add was unclear.

    • Brittmadden08

Ok I am having a tough time with RR. My store does not to seem to print them everytime. Am I the only one with this problem? Also am I able to use more than one RR in 1 transaction? Last question…I know i can not have more coupons than items, but does the store coupons count?

      • showme the savings

Store coupons don't count but remember RR are manufactures coupons not store coupons.

      • showme the savings

If a RR you deserve does not print have the cashier call a manager to fix your problem.  If you deserve it you should get it.

        • Brooke

Yes and often times the manager will give you a gift card or cash, because they can't make the register produce the RR, which in my opinion is even better!

    • tee

Can I use the .75 degree coupon along with BOGO degree coupon? Seema like I read somewhere that when the BOGO coupon ends with 14 you can only use one coupon, because it attaches to both items. But  if the numbers are 11 you can use 2 coupos. The BOGO coupon ends with 14.

    • showme the savings

When shopping for free after RR and good coupon deals go to a store thats been open for a few years.  Walgreens tries and track previous sales trends and that's how they usually supply the stores, the busier the store the more they get sent.  My Walgreens has been open for almost 2 years now and they are not a very busy store so the previous sales are not high so they usually don't recieve too many products.  Also, if you know something is on sale and going to be popular, talk to the store manager if it is before their ordering day the could probably order some.

    • Clint

Just a FYI.  We received an Ad Apology today at my store for the Ritz Crackerfuls.  The Ad Apology stated and apology for Warehouse not being in stock of products.  It said some Walgreens may not receive ordered product.  So a friendly suggestion…..if u you really want to take advantage of this item, be at store early on Sundouay morning.  Stores may not have additional stock.  Just keep in mind that managers can't write rainchecks for Register Reward prices….only sale prices (which would be $2 for crackerfuls.  If you are using Crackerfuls from scenario above, have a backup plan just in case product is available.  Happy Shopping!

    • Unretail

I'm confused about the Listerine RR is it $1RR/1  or $2RR/1 – $4RR/2 ??? It mentions it twice!

    • Meeatpixiestix

on transaction 2 does she need one more filler?

      • Clint

No ma'am.  The $5 off Applied Nutrition Calcium 90ct is a store coupon that will be available on Sunday…..the day we start our new monthly sales also.  It will be in our new June Coupon Booklet (found on rack with sales ad).  Dont forget to pick one up.  They have valuable coupons usable ALL MONTH.  And they are considered store coupons, so you can use mf coupons with those items also.  Only need one filler for transaction 2

        • AngelaKY

Thanks for that Clint went into my Walgreens today and the rack that usually has them was empty but makes since considering the old book didnt expire until today… I'll pick up on in the morning :)

        • Elainecbold

My walgreens said that the 5 off did not apply to the applied nutrition calcium…only the ones pictured, but the print says applied nutrition calcium and didnt specify so i assume it applied to all. The manager said had to be the one in the picture??

    • Couponsaver45354

I cant believe this….my local grocery is offering TRIPLE COUPONS OFF!!!  Up to $1.00.  You would not believe all the FREE stuff I was able to score.  Saved 73%!!  When you can walk out of the store with a full cart and only pay $55…I think you have done pretty good, for only doing this for 3 weeks.  Thanks to all for all the posts.  This is my favorite site.

      • BoxerMom

I wish mine around here did lol thats an awesome deal :)

      • Jansled

Please, tell me which store it is in case one is close to me:)!!

    • MomOf1

Just an FYI, I know someone else had already mentioned this in the beginning but the Ritz Crackerfuls will not be in stock, there was an insufficient stock notice from the warehouse.  And that means they won't be getting any if they didn't already have them, and to most stores this is a new item and never got the product to begin with.  Also the Act II popcorn for $0.25 has limited quantities on hand as well.  The ad says there is a limit of 8, my local store only has about 8 on hand so expect limits to be changed on this item.

    • Mcleodsc

So, NO Crackerfuls! It is so hard to shop WAGS because they do not have the stock available for the sales. It is hard to come up with a scenario when you have no way of knowing IF any of the items will be available for purchase. I am really tired of shopping at WAGS. I may just skip a week or two.

      • Sanchionipa

I totally agree!! I even go there when they get the truck but they always give me the response of oh sorry maybe chk back next week. I gave up after almsot 4weeks and I finally emailed corporate and they called me 2days later but I never responded bc whats the point. They say oh get a rain chk but me and everyone else is gonna do that and they will still not have the product plus u lose out on the rr bucks. Walgreens s—-

      • Butterfinger_5568

You are right..Every Time I go half the stuff isn't in stock that is on sale.I have been waiting 3 weeks for more right guard body wash to come in (I did get a raincheck),but my B1G1F coupon were I can get both free expires the 31st.Now at my WG the Crackerfuls are only on sale Sun, & Mon,But I looked today and they only had 1 box. What are we to do….

      • CMDETLEF

I stopped one week at three different WAGS Sunday morning at 10 am and they were all out of stock of the sale items!!!

      • Shortye_80

We have the same problem at our stores – MS and AL

      • Earattic

No Crackerfuls at our stores in Tampa. “They did not send us any and we won't get a truck for another 10 days!” I just left.

    • Akbsteetee

I think that walgreens has great sales in their ads. HOWEVER, they never have anything there! It is so frustrating! Recently I have just been price matching with Walmart. It is so much easier and less of an irritation when shopping.

      • Darmstrong91

Does wal-mart price match the price after the RR?

        • Brittmadden08

No, but that depends on the cashier. Also they are not supposed to match the coupons in the ad. It all depends on the cashier so find a good one.

    • Sherri

My “Have you tried this?” flyer has a Target logo on it…how are you using this at Walgreen's?  Their coupon policy states that they do not accept competitor coupons.

      • Adm2584

It's a P&G home mailer that you sign up for.

        • Brittmadden08

What is a home mailer? How do I get it?

    • connie

I have 2 coupons for $1 off each goody's and bc. I need to check and make sure it's the right size, but would really love it if it is.

I might not be doing the math right, but no matter how I figure it I can't figure how the Listerene rinse is coming out free let alone with a profit. I have 3 1/1 coupons for them and was in the need for mouthwash. Anyone that can explain this I would so appreciate it.

    • Morgzack

I am really confused about the Listerine deal. Is it $1 RR wyb 1 or is it $2 RR WYB 1 & $4 WYB 2? I see listed in Transaction #3 above that one would get three different RRs back when buying two items. I am a little lost.

    • Dianna

Sorry if it’s been posted already, but here’s a printable for Goody’s powders:
      https://www.goodyspowder.com/getcoupon.promo

    • Stacy775

I am totally confused on the Listerine deal too. The add shows $1RR on one of the listed items, so wouldn't you only get $2RR when you buy 2?

    • Kambers

I can't find the Scott coupon can any 1 help me I wanted to pick up 2 and I can't print that coupon

      • Susan

scottbrand.com has a $1.50 off coupon on their site.

      • Susan

Scott's website has $1.50 off coupon on there :)

    • Susan

Scott's website has a $1.50 off coupon on there. :)

    • Kim

I'm confused on how to use the B1G1 coupons when Walgreen's has a B1G1. How many Right Guards do I buy with 4 B1G1 cpns? How many are free and how many do I pay for? Any help is appreciated!

      • Susan

8—4 you pay for and 4 free…then you have the B1G1 coupon making all 8 free :)

        • Kim

          Thanks!!

        • Earattic

My store in Tampa refuses to let you use the B1G1 with a B1g1 sale!

    • BoxerMom

Just as heads up to everyone, our registers are having trouble with the buy 1 get one frees and buy one get one 50% off especially on vitamins. We have emails in to corporate to have it fixed but they are trying to work the kinks out on their ends. So watch the register to make sure they are deducting right at the end of your transaction. Happy Shopping everyone and have a blessed and wonder Memorial Day weekend

      • faith

        Thank you!

      • RebeccaFer

What a sweet note! Thanks for the heads up and you too have a blessed and wonderful Memorial Day! :D

    • Keelrj

About what time can I go in to Walgreens on Saturday night to get the new ad deals?

      • BoxerMom

depends on the store, usually around 6 at non 24 hour stores. Just know the register rewards wont start printing until Sunday

    • Amelia

What is the “Have you tried this yet?” home mailer? It is something that is just sent out to certain people, or is it something that I can sign up for throught a mailing list?

    • msivory20

I have just been informed by my local Wags manager that corporate has a
NEW coupon policy concerning their monthly coupon booklets.  They are now considered manu. q's and therefore cannot be combined with our manu. q's.  Is this true????  I was told this after trying to purchase the Tylenol Pain patches with the $5 printable q and the $3 q in their booklet.

      • carol

This is news to me….You cant just decide a store coupon is now a Manuf. coupon….Manufacuturer coupons will work in any store that accepts coupons and this isnt the case with the coupons found in your local Wags monthly coupon booklets.  They are specific to Wags only so therefore they are NOT manf. coupons….sounds as if your local manager just likes this idea

        • msivory20

Well I messaged customer service on the Wags website to inquire about it all…hopefully will get an answer soon.

      • RebeccaFer

I've been told numerous times by cashiers and managers some “new” policy that supposedly has taken effect and it all ends up to be hogwash. I'm thinking this is going to be the case here too. If it isn't, then there should have been some huge notice on the coupon blogs like there was for Rite Aid and Walmart's changes. I'm not saying anything against you or your manager, I just don't always believe something that is filtered through from the store level. My guess would be that they put the $3 q in first and then the $5 manf q wouldn't take because the store coupon was used first. It's happened to me before and I've literally had to walk the cashier and the manager through it by being super patient and really, really nice. It's necessary to do the manufacturer's coupon first and then the store and there won't be any problems. :)

      • Mcleodsc

I was told the exact same thing on Friday!

      • Chinafairydoll

If you review the coupon policy you can use a walgreen's coupon with a manufcature. I have not been told that the booklet is a manufacture coupon. It would have to say it on the coupond to be a manufacture coupon. So I wouldn't accept that.

        • Jaxlaw

The coupons in the June book do say manufacturer coupon, but only redeemable at Walgreens

    • AngelaKY

don't know if anyone else noticed but the q listed with the b1g1 for the pens is for Dr. Grip only not for any pilot pen so it won't work.

    • Mtluvcoupons

No.  I'm in Jacksonville, FL and was told the same thing today.  I really don't understand it and thought the cashier was just mistaken when she said it, but I guess not.

    • nucouponer

Geesh! How can the palmolive internet coupon already have reached it's
       limit? C'mon ladies….share the wealth!

    • Stacy5060

Could someone post the code.for the $1. Off coupon for applied nutrition calcium from walgreens vitamins and supplements book?

      • It's on pg 11.  I had a time finding it myself.
It's just $1 off Applied Nutrition Supplements.

Keeping fingers crossed that my store will have the new books out, for an even better deal.

    • Frizzyjd

my wags beeped with the coupon booklet coupon of $5.00 off the calcium. They wouldn't take it because, the supplements pictured didn't contain the one on sale nor did it list it.

      • Elainecbold

They wouldnt take it at my walgreens either. Totally threw off all my planning :(

        • Leannas

Did not take mine either, worked for just the two pictured. They did not carry the crackers and they were already sold out of the body wash! I am so bummed right now!

          • ireneY

That's a pretty typical experienced at Wags. Hope everyone gets a bit of something!

            • Kate

I purchased 2 with no problem using the $5 coupon. The registered beeped but the cashier saw that it was for any applied product and gave it to me. Sorry for those having problems. I usually have problems but none today at Wags…knock on wood lol.

      • Mcleodsc

Would not take mine-said it worked only for the two pictured

      • Amber

My walgreens would not take it either, the manager said the coupon knows that the item is going to be free after RR so we can not combine the walgreens coupon, plus a walgreens promotion to get something better than free.  If it had been a manu coupon, he said it would have been fine.

They also would not take my icy hot coupon, and adjusted my ecotrin coupon down even though it went thru the computer fine.

        • Chinafairydoll

They should have taken the Icy Hot coupon as it says Icy Hot not a certain type. they would have needed to mark the coupon down to .99 cents as well to give it to you for fee. According to Walgreen's coupon policy, they can not take anything that makes you a profit.

    • Elainecbold

Walgreens wouldn't take the $5 off for the Calcium supplements because they stated it wasnt the ones pictured even though the wording says $5 off Applied Nature Supplements and did not specify which ones.  Then they stated the MAYBE the coupon hadnt loaded….they didnt seem to know anything so I just left.  Anyone else have this problem??

      • Pjpena2011

yes manger at two store gave trouble

      • Jaxlaw

Yes. At the first store the manager overrode it and gave me $5 off, the 2nd store said the item did not correspond to the coupon, per the machine. I didn't push it and used another RR ($4) to replace the $5 Walgreens coupon

      • Mel

I just left my Walgreens in Charleston,SC and they would not let me use it either. Manger said it was just for the one in the picture.

      • Chinafairydoll

I posted the reason why Walgreen's wouldn't accept their own coupon above. It is becaues the RR can not excced  the amount you pay.

        • Rchampion

that isnt right because I had a q for the Goody's & BC powders so they were a dollar moneymaker. Walgreens just messed up on that and they dont want to admit it. lol the lady that i talk to told me to come back next week and I could get the 5 off? I still got a couple but I was hoping to help pay for some of the rest of my stuff…. :)

      • Mari

I got my applied nutrition triple calcium for 5.00 and the 10RR. The cashier told me that if  I use the coupon I don't will receive my rewards but I took the chance and I used the coupon and surprise I got my 10RR

    • morninglory

I love Walgreens!  I save a ton of money there, and when they are out of an item, it's usually only one thing per trip, if that, and I always get a raincheck.  The service I get there is the friendliest out of all the places I shop, they go out of their way to make sure I get all my coupons matched up.  My stockpile is growing thanks to Walgreens!

    • Kcblue2

Aw man! I bought two different newspapers last week because I was out of town and the red plums are different. I'm missing one set of the degree deodorant coupons. Anyone willing to trade for something?? Email me at kcblue2@yahoo.com

    • Landrethelaine

I am so excited!  I just went to Walgreens and bought everything on the 4 transactions list.  The only coupon match up that I did not have was the .50/1 Listerine.  Then I also did a 5th transaction and got 2 of the OFF clip on bug repellents and used the B1G1 coupon along with a $2 off coupon and a $1 off store coupon.  I had multiple RR $ and had to add 4 Filler popcorns to use all of them, but in the end the total would have been $95.07 and I spent $8.03!  WOW!  Thanks Jenny!  What a thrill!

      • Tjvsmom

I am confused about the OFF clip on deal.  You used a B1G1 manufacturers coupon and a $2 off manufacturers coupon and a $1 off store coupon, is that right?
        Thanks,
        tjvsmom

        • Casablancafashions

Get 2 Off clips $7.99 ea. use a B1G1, $2/1 mfr cpn and $1/1 wags cpn (which would take off $2 automatically) you pay 7.99(-2)(-2) = $3.99

          • Busscpn

I used the B1G1.  My walgreens wouldn't use any other coupons, including
mfr $2/1 or $1/1 wags cpn.   Frustrating!   I love walgreens   .  Just wish they could get things working standard across the board at all their stores!

    • Jennifer

Just wanted to tell everyone to watch carefully if you purchase the Ecotrin. I bought 3 today used the in ad coupon and 3 manufacturer coupons…the in ad coupon stated limit 3 yet it only took off for 2. So, I paid retail for one of them. Thinking I may take the receipt back and see if they will correct this. Anyone know if they will?

      • Chinafairydoll

You can get that corrected. The limit should have been on 3. I would take it back and get the correction no that.

        • Jelnnifer

Thanks…I think I will. Can I go to any Walgreens or do I have to go back to the one where I made the purchase?

          • Megan

at any walgreens as long as you have your receipt

      • Aabbott6824

happened to me to!! im beginning to think wags is cheating their customers, ive had so many bad trips since i started couponing 2 months ago:(

    • Breuerbiz

I went first thing this morning to 2 different Wags and they both said that the coupon for $5 off Applied Nutrition supplements doesn't work on the Applied Nutrition Triple Calcium 90 ct.  They said those are preloaded into their computers, and they have no way to to change it?! Just thought I'd give you a heads up on that one.  All of the other scenarios worked great though! Thanks!

      • Megan

Yea I tired to use that coupon at my store too. It wouldnt work.

    • Evelynandchris

A little bummed about the $5 June Q Book on Calcium didn't work. I still picked one up since they were free, but I got told the same thing at two walgreens (only the ones in the picture). Overall, still a good deal! My Walgreens had plenty of ritz crackerfuls.

      • george

Step aside and let the other couponers in then.

    • Mel

Got all the items I wanted today, they had a pretty good stock of everything. Still not sure if I'm sold though. The rr's are a bit complicated.

    • Krystyna Taylor Kmt_1103

Sooo pissed right now…..has anyone else had a problem with the BOGO sale and the BOGO coupon for the Right Guard? My Walgreens is telling me that corporate is saying now that you have to buy 3 of the item…kinda like Buy 1Get 2 Free…Anyone else heard that? The manager said they were losing money and its something new they're trying….My thing is let me see that in writing otherwise honor your current policy.

      • Nanleigh10

I used 2 BOGO with the sale this am and got all 4 free.  Couldn't get crackrfuls and they only had 2 paper towels.  I did have a problem with the Degree/Ponds deal but mgr re-entered them and forced the $5 WAG to print.

      • Elainecbold

I had no problem either with mine, I used 6 coupons on the right guard and got all 12 for free. With the degree, it has to be the premium ones (like adrenaline) for the 5 RR to print, so I had to go back and get those.

      • Mari

i used two BOGO coupons for 4 body wash….I got them for free..No problem

        • Tim222

          You are blessed

    • Chinafairydoll

According to the walgreen's coupons policy, the RR given can not exceed the amount of the purchase.

I was at walgreens this morning trying to get the 10 RR for the Applied Nutrition Triple Calcium 90 ct for $10. This option below will not work because the RR can not exceed the amount you pay. It seems stupid that Walgreens offers this option and have a coupon in their own booklet. Didn't work anyways!

$10 RR WYB Applied Nutrition Triple Calcium 90 ct., at $10 -$5 off Applied Nutrtion supplements June Walgreens coupon booklet -$1 off Applied Nutrtion supplements Answers at Walgreens: Vitamins & Supplements booklet(FREE plus $5 profit!)

      • RaynorShine

This deal did not work for me either! Walgreens isn't going to give us $15 for an item they are selling for $10 :) But, once the RR deal is over for this week, the $5 coupon in their June Walgreens Coupon booklet should work!

        • Brooke

The coupon in the June book must be regional, there wasn't one in the books at my store and I saw someone else post the same

      • Wooburne1

My Walgreens priced modified the Applied Nutrition Triple Calcium to $5 to allow for the coupon. then I got back the $10. The manager saw her do it after the fact and said he didn't think we could use that coupon. I did tell him that it doesn't say you can or couldn't use it for that product on the coupon. He did say he thought it was for the ones in the photo.

      • Mari

I got my applied nutrition triple calcium for 5.00 and the 10RR. The cashier told me that if  I use the coupon I don't will receive my rewards but I took the chance and I used the coupon and surprise I got my 10RR

        • Chinafairydoll

The manager at the store told me the coupon policy has changed, and that walgreen’s can not allow a customer to profit on any of their products. I didn’t believe her so I cam home and went to look over the coupon policy. I was surprized to see that she was right and the policy does state the RR can not exceed the amount paid for the item. So if your store did it, they weren’t supposed to.

          • No, you read it wrong. That’s for redeeming one. Meaning, you can’t use a $8 RR on something that has a total of $5. There is nothing in their policy stating you can not get an $8 RR if you only spend $5, only that you can’t USE the $8 on a $5 purchase.

    • ireneY

If you are “like”-adverse on Facebook, like me, the Ritz Q doesn't require you to declare your fondness for crackers first. The link on the upper right corner goes directly to a printable Q.

    • Jaxlaw

Unadvertised Register Register -Triscuits – $2 RR

Saw this when I was look Ritz Crackerfuls

      • ireneY

The less tasty cousin to the crackerfuls! Good to know, though. The $2 amount is good for rolling with the coffee.

    • Coupondad

I went to 4 walgreens this morning at 9AM and not one store had the Ritz crackerfuls! At least in those trips I picked up (5) 6 roll packages of the Scotts naturals paper towels and paid $12.50. Not bad for 30 rolls of good paper towels. Also picked up (2) 75 sq ft. of the reynolds foil for .99 each. I really wanted to use the RR from crackerfuls to  take advantage of the deals but still happy with my savings on things I use and buy regularly. Still not a big fan of walgreens though!

    • Lala5232

My walgreens was really nice and helpful this morning.  Applied Nutrition coupon didn't work so I put that back, but they adjusted my icy hot coupon to .99 cents, and helped me find the correct degree deodorants that are part of the sale.  They were out of the ritz crackerfulls, but i got everything else on my list.  I think this is going to become a weekly shopping trip.

      • Kvschob

This sounds just like my trip! Had to adjust the icy hot q and showed me which deodorants were in the sale. I was relieved at how patient and helpful they were. Sounds like others aren't always so lucky.

    • Kristin

Went to Wags this morning. Wasn't trying to get too much, just neede to use up some RR.  I got two of the Off Starter Kits, 1 sugar, 1 (6) roll paper towels.  Had to pick up two filler items. Total OOP before taxes was 3.71.  With tax spent $4.97.  No complaints this time.  I didn't look for crackerfuls.  Or try the vitamin deal. I still have $8RR to use so maybe I'll go back.

    • Vicky

So I had a rain check from the beginning of the month for some Right guard body wash – when it was B1G1. They even called the manager to approve the raincheck and my coupon!  Well they said they would call and they never did.  I would come by and they never had them… finally Friday I go and they are in stock.  I try to get them with my B1G1 coupon and the manager tells me that it's not possible and they never would give me a rain check. Finally after telling him to check who the manager was that day and the employee and to just ask them. He said, “Well there is no way I am going to give you anything free… I will ring them up as $2.50 and $2.49, then I will let you use the coupon for $2.50.   So in the end you will pay $2.98 for two.  I told him no that I wanted to talk to the manger that approved the rain check.  He said he will be here at 3pm.
I come back at 3 pm – the manager that approved it… is no longer working for the company.  So I'm told.  The one that came in at 3 pm claims he didn't approve it.  I have no idea who it was b/c it was over the phone with the cashier.
So I was just over it and knew they were going to expire … so I bought them.  (I know I should have read that they would once again be B1G1).
Today i go and use 3 that I had left… and guess what?  They did it exactly like it was to be done…. I paid .50 every 2.
So my question is… should I go and make them fix it… or what can I do?

      • Aachs26

Go and make them fix it.  You are well within the return/refund/re-ring time limit.  Make sure you bring your proof.

      • Brooke

I had a rain check from earlier in the month that I used a week or two ago. The gal said she had to ring them at $2.50 and $2.49 to make the coupon work, but took $4.99 off with the coupon…I guess she thought the coupon needed to attach to both items or something

    • Kate

Did anyone try the Listerine Catalina deal? Everytime I try something like that it never works, along with the monthly unadvertised RR.

      • Brooke

It worked for me this morning. Just make sure you buy the correct Listerine. It is the smart rinse in the kids section

    • Shannon

I despise going to Walgreens. They are so completely rude at my local store. The cashier snatched my coupons from my hand, slammed them as she was scanning them. She wouldn't take the IcyHot or the Applied Supplement. When I asked for the manager she mumbled under her breath and rolled her eyes. If they didn't have such great deals and weren't the only Walgreens in my area then I wouldn't go back.

      • Geg

Shannon that is so true, the cashier in Florida did the same thing to me and my sisters every time we go in there, he slams our items in the bags as if the money is coming out of his pockets and mumble words under his breath and tells us the computer will not take the coupon. We went back for three Sundays just to see if he continues to do it and he does. So this morning I emailed corporate office.  No response yet. My sister them does not want to go back there again. Walgreen need to train their staff how to be nice to people using coupons. Sorry they might as well get use to it because everybody is using them and there is no stopping no time soon.

        • Plumaverde2010

Many times the Wags receipt has a survey number that you can use to tell them what you thought of your experience. I've had a wonderful cashier that actually helps me out with my transactions and several others that are not helpful and sometimes a little rude. In fact one of them was rolling her eyes while smiling at someone behind me in line the other day. I only had three coupons and 5 items so it was nothing close to extreme couponing. She was very annoyed and wouldn't take a coupon because it said “available at walmart” but it was a manufacturer's coupon and I had her ask the manager since I knew it was valid…

          • Tim222

Did they take the coupon because the walgreens I go to will not take any coupon that has another stores name on it.

    • Grits47

Jacksonville Fl.  8:00 am. this morning my Walgreens (Wilson & Blanding), & surrounding stores, was sold out of everything!! Thanks to the ladies(?) that goes in before daylight & gets it all to sell at the flea market.

      • Ampoe1

Complain to the manager it is the store right to limit quanity to each customer.

    • Fizgig1121

Can anyone tell me where to find the Get More From Your Pharmacy booklet?

      • Alison

It is from KROGER (that is a tag line of theirs) but the manufacturer coupons can be used anywhere – it must have come out at the beginning of the year with coupons for the whole year and no longer be available or something b/c I shop Kroger grocery and pharmacy and can't find it for the life of me

    • guest

no coupon in june book for calcium just aheads up

      • RN

It is on the bottom of one of the pages (left side)  “applied nutrition supplements”.  I tried to use it and the register didn't allow it so I couldn't get the overage.

        • Ijessica_r

I had the same problem at my store, so instead my cashier just price modified it to $5.00

          • Alison

did it still print out the 10RR?

They wouldn't let me do it and the manager there (Middlebrook Pk Knoxville TN) was so hateful yesterday about RR for thermacare wraps not printing (he didn't think I deserved one since I used 2 manufacturer coupons) that I will probably be calling corporate about him tomorrow. He took $5 off my next transaction (hairbands and body wash which were 5.99 to make up for the thermacare not printing) but then tried to HIDE the RRs that printed out from that transaction at the side of the register rather than giving them to me (3 & 2 RR). I had to ASK for them and then he got all huffy saying I was trying to walk out with everything for free! How UNETHICAL to hide RRs from a customer!!!

            • Kate

I am not sure what Wags issue is. There are 30 different applied nutrition products and surely they cannot list them all on the coupon. I had  no issue using my coupons and the $5 for the applied nutrition but if I had then I would argue they cannot list all products on the coupon because there is simply not enough space. Its just like with the icy hot coupons….they cannot list all varieties and the cashier had to re-read my icy hot coupon to make sure the product was covered.

            • Ijessica_r

Yes, I still recieved the RR. I really think its more of a personality diffrence with these cashiers and managers. The store I go to, the moring shift is very friendly and willing to work with you, but the night shift seems to have it out for couponers. I don't think I've ever had someone try to hide RR! maybe he was trying to keep them for himself. =P  Maybe after a few complaints he will get his act together

            • Tim222

He could get fired for that.

            • Anonymous

You need to call corporate. I’m not saying that to be vindictive or even judgmental but someone has to set that person straight that you paid for everything and deserve what the store has advertised as a reward. I am amazed that he can get to manager level without realizing the value not only of a coupon but also of a customer using coupons. You need to call to make sure that store doesn’t go under with someone like that running all the good customers like yourself away!

      • kbarton

Same problem here, the manager read the coupon and was happy to adjust!

    • Mary

To the 3) ladies in Bainbridge GA, please leave some of the deals for the rest of us. I have to drive 15 miles 1 way to get 2 things I need and that happens to be on sale  with or without RRs and I find empty shelfs. I spoke with the Assistant Manager, keep it up and they might start limiting the number per customer / day, which is in their policy!

” When purchasing multiple items, Walgreens accepts multiple identical coupons for multiple qualifying items as long as there is sufficient stock to satisfy other customers, unless a limit is specified. Management reserves the right to limit the quantity of items purchased.  Remember that policy  is a two way street!

      • Cori C.

Hopefully your store will soon implement the “one deal per customer” policy. I live in McDonough, GA and we have the same problems with the shelves being always empty. I haven't been in a few weeks because of the frustration, but the last few times I was there, I saw several women in the store filling their buggies with multiple items. Now our store has signs posted that say, “Limit one deal per customer in order to be fair.”

    • Brooke

Just FYI the men's degree deodorant is not part of the sale (even though it is in the picture). They are ringing up at $3.49 so you don't hit the $14 requirement. The manager worked it out for me, but it is annoying that they don't say exactly what's on sale. The cashier gave me a hard time about using the BOGO coupons with tue .75 off one coupon, but the manager told me I could use them both. They also started limiting the quantity of free items. Would not let me purchase 2 icy hots in multiple transactions

      • Wooburne1

You do not want to buy both Icy hots in the same transaction. You will only get 1 RR. Break them up so you can get RR for both.

    • Cerrcoupon

Just so you guys know, to make up for the shortage of Ritz crackerfuls, they are giving register rewards on vertaind Triscuits and Wheat Thins, etc, so pick them up instead,m especially if you have a coupon. Apparently it isn't a Walgreens thing, its a manufacturer thing, so all Walgreens should be doing this, I would think. Good luck.

      • RebeccaFer

Thanks so much for the info! :D I wish I liked these as much as I like the Crackerfuls though, lol. I think there's a reason I couldn't find Crackerfuls though … they don't start with crack for nothin'! Lol. :D

    • Nichols_again

My Walgreen would only allow 1 of the Ritz, 1 Icy Hot, and 2 Right Guard.   I wasn't planning on getting lots of them but I did have 3 coupons for each of those.  It almost wasn't worth it for the trip into town.  THANKS A LOT EXTREME COUPONING

    • Heather

My store was out of everything by 11 AM! They let me substitute other crackers for the Ritz because they said due to stock issues they would not get them in.

    • kbarton

Just made my trip, the Off! Clip ons ended up being a better deal for me than posted above. My Walgreens only mandates that you have equal or more items than coupons. So I purchased an Off! Clip on, with a B1G1 coupon from the man. and then applied 2 $2 off coupons, bringing my total down to 3.99 and then the WG applied the store coupon of $1 off both, bringing my total to $1.99 for BOTH, not each, of the clip-ons! I just had to add an Act II popcorn ($.25) to my transaction.  Hope this works for others :)!

      • laura

I wish I would have thought of that when I bought them this morning!

    • Fallaya

Wjere is the coupon for the calcium supplements in the June coupon booklet?  What page?  I looked for it for 15 minutes and couldn't find it…

      • Alison

Both the June booklet and the vitamins and supplements coupon book (which I FINALLY found tucked under a shelf at one Walgreens I use) have the coupons – one is for $5 (store coupon) and one for $1 (manufacturer coupon) but they don't say or show the calcium – they show other products – look for APPLIED NUTRITION SUPPLEMENTS – I know it is like page 11 in the vit/supplement book but not sure about the June booklet. I wasn't allowed to use the store q for $5 off but did get to use the $1 M Q

      • Megan

its more towards the back but the one for 5.00 will not work on the one for with the RR. I tried it at my location.

        • JFL

At another site, I read that Walgreens Corporate advised Stores that the Applied Nutrition $5.00 coupon wouldn't work on the Calcium item, and that the coupon isn't supposed to be used for it.  I don't know whether that's actually true, but it is true that the coupon has been disabled.  I suggest showing the cashier that the coupon does not exclude any particular supplement.  When I've done that, the cashier manually modified the price to reflect the $5.00 discount, and the RR's did still print.

          • Fallaya

I'm going to call corporate tomorrow to confirm this.  I think it's ridiculous to put out a coupon, then disable it because THEY didn't make the coupon more specific.

    • Elainecbold

Just letting you know in Augusta, the walgreens here says you can only get 1 RR reward, per day, per household per product. So for example if you wanted to get a few razors and a few ritz crackerfuls you could only get one of each unless you plan to drive to another store like I did.

      • couponing rocks!

I think that is fair and probably how it should be, otherwise you should be able to purchase it all in one transaction.  With everyone complaining about them being out of the stuff, a one per person limit would help each store's small supply go a little farther.  When a store only has 9 in stock it doesn't take a shelf cleaner to deplete that supply – just 3 people who buy three each.

      • Megan

you should be able to do it per transaction.

        • Tim222

Not at my walgreens they are only letting us have one rr for each item a day I do not mind it is fair for everyone to have a share thats good custmer service for all walgreens customers not just us couponers.

    • I actually had a great trip everyone around me must have been on vacation got 6 rightguard products all free ecotrin free  free razors after rr and a few more items click my name to see :)

    • jlh

IcyHot coupon didn't work this morning.  It was my first time doing the whole rewards system so, I just paid retail for it and got the RR.  The cashier was really nice and patient with me while i did 4 transaction. I also bought 4 deordorants with 2 BOGO coupons and 2 .75/1.  She told me that I couldn't use it 2 BOGO and I asked her just to try for kicks..and if it doesn't work, then that's fine.  Sure enough it worked :)

    • Wooburne1

The Applied Nutrition Triple Calcium has 30 Q's inside the package. Total of $31. The bad the is it is only 1 page and there are different Q's on each side. So, you have to chose which one you real want to use. And they are good until 12/31/13

    • couponing rocks!

I got 2 – 6 packs of Scott paper towels, a roll of reynolds wrap, the icy hot, one illy cappuccino, & 1 Ritz crackersfuls.  i paid with an 8 RR & 2.73 OOP. Got back 5 RR.  They let me use the icy hot coupon no problem.  The manager was standing there when I handed the cashier my coupon & I said, you will probably have to adjust this down to .99.  The manager told the cashier to try it & for 1 cent she didn't care & didn't make her adjust it.  Also, they had no Crackerfuls so I asked the manager as I was checking out.  She said hang on I have a box and went back and got me one.  She said that there was a supply problem at the manufacturer's end and last night they had overnighted her a small box that had about 10 in there so she was having to ration them out.

    • Mishellybelly84

At my Walgreens the Applied Nutrition Triple Calcium, they told me that the coupon in the book would not work on it, so I couldn't get my $5.

    • Alison

      FYI

If looking for CALCIUM coupons – you have to find APPLIED NUTRITION SUPPLEMENTS coupons (picture is of Omega-3 & Hair for Men not calcium)

pg 11 in Answers at Walgreens Vitamins & Supplements book ($1/1 Manufacturer Q)

toward back of June booklet (blue page edge, bottom of page, same page as Coromega Omega 3 & Nature Made, back of coupon is brainstrong coupon ($5 Store Q) – most people are reporting their store won't let them use this for calcium deal – mine wouldn't)

      • Jcomputerman

I went to three different Walgreens and only one of them did the manager even consider using the $5 June coupon for the Calcium.. The other two said since the system wouldn't let them, I couldn't use it.. The other Walgreens did a price override and it still printed out the $10 coupon…

    • Kate

Oh I forgot to mention that I printed out the $5 (2 of them) for the calcium on the wags coupon site and they had a exp of 6/25 on them. They didnt scan either but the cashier took them np. here is the wag site in case someone needs it http://www.coupons.com/Couponweb/Offers.aspx?pid=13473&zid=cs27&nid=10

    • Amber

The coupon gods must be smiling on me today…I found three of the Nabsico Crackerfuls on the 2nd WAGS I tried. Plus, my coupon was for $1.50, not $1, so each box was only 50 cents. I bought the last three…kinda felt bad about that, but I don't think 3 is too excessive. I'll take those RR to Publix to decrease my grocery bill now.

    • Marnie

This morning, Walgreens told me that only 1 deal coupling a B1G1 manuf coupon with a B1G1 store deal would be accepted.  (He also mentioned that only 1 RR for the same product could be done going forward.) He said a new coupon policy was put in place last week. However, I just got home and checked the Walgreens store policy online.  Although I see the 1 RR in the policy, I don't see the limit on B1G1 coupon/sale transactions, and it sounds from several of the postings that others were able to do multiple B1G1 coupon/sale deals.  Do you think this is different store to store?

      • Kim

I used 2 BOGO for the Degree deal with no problems/questions. Must be a 'clerk' variance…

      • Guest2

On the back of the sales ad in small print on the bottom states “Right to Limit all quantities on all items” So if its Sunday and you are dealing with a B1G1 Free Bodywash or other item, they have the right to limit so that all other customers can have an opportunity for the sale. So yes each store might limit differently depending on their available stock.

    • Kim

Completed scenarios 1 – 4 and the OFF Clip On deal – total OOP $6.99. Was not able to use the $5 Applied Nutrition coupon from the Walgreen's booklet against the $10 calcium supplement… was told it only applied to the 'pictured' items. Oh well, still a great result. BTW there is a $1.00 coupon (and several others) inside the box of calcium…

      • Mandy

I was told the same thing about the $5 coupon, but that is not stated on the coupon.

        • Couponin'-Momma

I had the same experience with the $5 off coupon.  No dice.  But worth buying nonetheless.

          • RebeccaFer

Me too. I asked the pharmacist his opinion about the product and he said that there is nothing documented from an independent source, only the manufacturers claimed supported by their own research. I'm not saying it's bad but since I don't normally take supplements, I decided to leave the box I was able to locate for another who might take advantage of it. I'm curious if anyone feels any kind of improvement or if it's even possible to know it does indeed work. :)

            • Alison

Calcium citrate is the most easily absorbed by the body (especially for people who have had a gastric bypass – calcium carbonate needs stomach acid for absorption and their new stomach doesn't exposed vitamins to much acid) but this product states it contains citrate and carbonate as well as gluconate.

The product was free after RR so that is always a good deal but otherwise NOT a good deal IMO b/c although it is 90 count (at first glance makes you think would be 45-90 day supply), you have to take 4 a day to get needed amount of calcium/vit D so that is only 22 days worth which I would never pay $10-15 dollars for.

            • When I was taking calcium supplements, I would order from a bariatric site, I can't  remember the name of it now, but everything else is correct – anyone who had GBS would be better off with full citrate calcium because of the absorption issues.

            • LD

I looked at that too . I have ostoporosis so would have had to take 12 of them to get the amount of calcium needed lol I turned it down at free . If i could have used the coupon and made money I would have gotten them and given to my DD to use. Plus I noticed that if you had to take that many you would get 3,000 mg of vitamin d3 not so sure this would be good for my tummy

            • Anonymous

Thanks so much for the info! :D

      • Melanie

I wasn't able to use the $5 wags cpn either. The cashier said it was because I was already getting it free. But my hubs said it's probably because technically it's not June yet and the coupon wont be valid until Tues. I don't know if that is true but I'd be interested in knowing if people are still having trouble later in the week.

        • Haustin5

the coupons start date are today but i had the same problem

        • CT

I had the same problem this morning.  Manager told me that it was because I was getting a RR making it free.

          • tygirl13

The RR is a manufacturers coupon.  When you use it an Walgreens later, Walgreens is going to get its $10 from the manufacturer.  Walgreens isn't giving this stuff away.  These are promotions by the manufacturers, its called business and marketing!! Its not our fault that the manufacturer and Walgreens decided to have promotions on a certain product at the same time.

      • Jatonyap

I had the same issue with the $5 coupon in Jacksonville, FL.  They did substitute the Crackerfuls for triscuits and ritz.  I had the rudest cashier who apparently had somewhere else to be so my trip didnt go well.  She tried to tell me that the dove degree deal required you to buy the same exact items that is not what the ad says.  Also with the $5coupon that is NOT what the coupon says.  I am very disappoited with them and also ended up spending about $75 and still think they weren't kicking out all of the RR that they should have.   I am writing corporate also.

    • Marcie

Just a heads up, at my Walgreens in Statesboro, GA they wouldn't let me use the $1 off any Icy Hot product on the 99 cents Icy Hot because it exceeded the amount of the product. :(

      • Kate

they should of adjusted the coupon down to .99c for you. i brought 3 of them like that.

        • Megan

It all depends on what manager and cashier is there. At my walgreens where I work they wont let us do that for customers either :(

      • Kathymomto3

They've adjusted my coupons before to match the item's price. Try another Walgreens, but B4 u go check their coupon policy. It may be in there??? Someone else might know more, but they have adjusted my coupons so I could use them. If at first you don't succeed, try, try again… :o)

      • Guest

Me too, I could not use the icy hot coupon either . The cashier told me she could not adjust the coupon down .99 . She said if  the coupon could not scan , there is nothing she can do about this.

      • danielle

They should have reduced the amount of the coupon, it says in their coupon they must.  I suggest anyone having this problem print the policy from the website and carry it with them.

    • Nita

I got the $10 Applied Nutrition calcium this morning at Wags. Just opened it and inside there was a fold-out of 15 q's for Applied Nutrition products incl. a $1 manu. q for the same Triple Calcium! My Wags didn't have any of the Calcium out on the shelf, btw. I had to ask for it and the manager got me a box out of the back.

    • Kcruz0117

I had such a hard time checking out. They didn't want to take my coupons because the values were higher than the product price…Ecotrin was .99 and I had a coupon for  $1.50 off They said they had to adjust the price and actually charge me more ($1.50 instead of .99) in order to use my coupon. They did the same with the Icy Hot charging me $1 instead of .99 so I could use my coupon. Is this correct?

      • Megan

If you went to walgreens that should have not been that way. You should have gotten the icy hot for 99cent coupon RR. Then Ectorin depeding on how many you got lets say you got 4 of them and it would have taken 4.50 off or something like that and then if you had the 1.00 off coupon you would basically be getting everything you bought for free.

    • millie

a few weeks back there was a blinkie at publix for Royal gelatin $1/5 so if you have this one in your stash you will get 5 boxes of gelating for free when used with the in ad coupon!

    • Kayakhinkle

Today was “Walgreens Experiment” day.  I'm new to couponing and today was first day I tried to use the deals suggested on this website.  Only a few “hiccups” (no Wags in St. Pete, FL has the Ritz Crackerfuls).  Clerk said there was a problem with the supplier and not sure when they will come in.  Got a rain check but will I still be able to get the RR when they finally come in?  I bought $30.14 of items and only had to pay 6.65 out of pocket – WOW!!!  The experiment was a success.  I truly appreciate this website and the valuable info it provides.

      • Kat

I was told by a manager that with rainchecks at Wags, you won't be able to get the RR. I was quite displeased!

        • RebeccaFer

Yup! Unfortunately that's the way it is but you can get a raincheck on sale priced items like the paper towels.

      • Cori C.

No you will not get the RR with a raincheck. Which is just one reason why CVS is better. Their rainchecks have a space for them to write in the amount of the Extra Care bucks that you will get when you redeem the raincheck.

    • Leanne

Just to let ya”ll know… some Walgreens in the Greenville are are limiting the paper towels to 1 per household.  (many are OUT, but I did get a raincheck to go back later.)
So far I am not impressed with Walgreens, the staff in the ones I have used have been rude, and they are not well stocked.

      • Fallaya

How ridiculous!  I guess I'll have to start bringing my boyfriend with me when I shop there…lol…

        • Leanne

don't let them see you walk in together!!!

    • connie

I just came back from wags in greenwood, I usually don't like that store, it's way too busy and always out of stock. Plus I had my family with me which I never do when I coupon, too many distractions. Here's what I ended up with:

      4 Degree deodarant
      1 bag of lays
      1 bag of doritos
      1 bc powder
      1 goodys powder
      2 Off clip ons
      1 reynolds wrap
      1 box of raisin bran
2 bottles of listerine w/bonus bottle
      1 icy hot
2 packages of silly bands for fillers

I did 2 transactions and ended up spending a total oop 13.96 and I saved a total of 64.13 plus 1.99 in RR for next trip. I think I did pretty good.

The only hitch was the listerine, I only received 1 $1 rr for it. Still I was totally out of mouthwash and at $2 for 2 large bottles and 2 small bottles wasn't bad.

They of course were out of the crackerfuls and I didn't see the vitamins anywhere. That's ok though.

      • connie

oh, forgot I got a pack of the scott paper towels too.

    • Megan

Today I bought the Calcium and the Icy Hot didnt have any coupons but the RRs were good. Didnt get the Scott Towels they were already out of them guess I should have asked for a RainCheck.

      • Fallaya

Can they give rain checks on 2-day sale items??  I hope so…I may not be able to get back to Wag's until Thursday or Friday.

        • Leanne

I got a rain check from a reluctant manager. for the paper towels.

        • couponmama

They should give a raincheck on sale prices, just not for register rewards…

    • Blues30stl

Hi, I don't know if this is the same at all Walgreens, but my walgreens had the phillips sonicare on sale for $29.99, which made it $9.99 after the $10 off coupon…

    • Carrie7898

Just thought I would share that I used to have a harder time at walgreens using RR, b1g1, and store coupons the right way to maximize my savings… So I re-read Jennys tips on Wags. If you give the cashier the coupons in the CORRECT ORDER everything should work perfectly. For example, I had no problem purchasing my ecotrins (3) by giving my manf cpns first and ad cpns last. I used to do things backward and had way more problems. Reread the “advanced tips” section under walgreens and I hope this helps a bit at least.

    • Kate

I printed out the $5 applied nutrition coupon from the wags coupon site and had no problem using them. They did not scan but the cashier entered them with np. Also they had a exp of 6/25 on them.

    • Even if it says Target  on it, if the first number on the barcode is a 5, it can be used anywhere.

    • Haustin5

my walgreens in gloucester va did not take the coupon in their june book for the calcium supplement for applied nutrition they said it was for the supplements that were pictured. so i wasnt able to do the whole deal posted

      • Lindam4876

Seems like walgreens uses that a lot. Might as well assume if the item you intend to use the coupon on isn't pictured, they wont let you have it. But is stinks because the coupon says “ANY” . I am tempted to argue with them, but it just isn't worth it.

    • Liz

I'm in Atlanta and our weekly Walgreens ad had a coupon for Aquafresh toothpaste, $0.99 with coupon. I also had manufacturer's coupons in my stash from a previous insert (don't know which) for $1 off Aquafresh (they expire 5/31). These both applied to the kids' toothpaste as well as the regular. Free toothpaste for my daughter=yay!

      • lisa

The coupon was from RP 4/17.

        • Liz

          Thanks Lisa!

    • Fallaya

Does anyone know the number to Walgreens corporate office?

      • Haustin5

1 847 914-2500 thinking of calling my self

        • Leanne

          So are we!

    • Stoudenmire

Walgreens in Gainesville, GA has Kids Aquafresh for .99 in ad coupon. There is a $1 coupon in the RP 4/17. Just thought I would share.

    • Pterech

I am ready to give up on Walgreens. I'm in S. Florida went to the store at 9:00 a.m. already out of everything as usual store manger said they did not get the delivery in time.  They say the same thing every week very frustrating!

    • couponmama

I haven't really seen “extreme couponers” in my area yet (Asheville), but I think there must be some… There were three slots for the ritz crackerfuls, all empty, as well as other things… Plus, I saw a woman buy 16 right guard deodorants!! I wasn't planning on buying any, just was amazed to see that amount in one shopping trip. Even if you want to donate some, save a little for the other folks! Now I understand what people mean when they say “shelf clearers”. You have my sympathies…

      • RebeccaFer

Hopefully it was just one of those annoying Piedmont Carolinians on vacation, lol. (I'm in Charlotte so I'm talking about some of those shelf clearers in my area.) I'm thinking they need all the D-O for the hot temps down here, lol. Seriously though, sorry you had to witness some sad gluttony even if it was for donations. I donate but I would rather give people a chance if they know how to get the products themselves at reduced rates or even make a little money. :)

        • Minnil0ve

I apologize for clearing the shelf.  I was making a donation to a home where they have previously homeless people with handicaps.  They have 20 men and 3 women.  I had 10 coupons so I got 20.  I did however go later in the morning and was amazed to find that they still had that many.  I also saw another person with coupons for that item and made sure she got hers before I took mine.

          • Tim222

Gee that was nice of you

      • SunshineKris

I could understand buying a couple of deals; but 16? That's crazy! I wonder how stinky you would have to be to need that much?

      • With the Crackers there is a problem with Warehouse issues.. No one has them. I wouldn't blame it on Shelf cleaners

    • Heather

Had a decent, but not great trip at Walgreen's today. Everything I wanted was in stock except the BC powder and the Ritz crackers. I expected the Ritz to be gone though. I did however have a little trouble at check out. I didn't receive a RR for the Fusion razor. The cashier was very nice, but said that deal ended yesterday? I didn't really know what else to do but say ok and call it a day.

      • TJ

Well the Fusion Razor is in Walgreens Ad for this week. You should have shown her the ad. I would go back up there.

    • TJ

I must say I went to 4 Walgreens before I was able to find the Ritz Crackerfuls and the Icy Hot Naturals but I finally found them at the 4th Walgreens. At the 3rd Walgreens the manager was nice enough to give me a raincheck on the Ritz and the Icy hot which will make them free once they get some in. But at my 4th Walgreens I ended up with
      4-Ritz Crackerfuls
      4-Icy Hot Naturals
      4-Illy Issimo
      3-Act II Popcorn
      all for $2.99  cha-ching

    • Lorri

Ugh, my disdain for Wags is growing.  I've only had one good experience there ever but I guess I'm a glutton for punishment because I keep trying.  I went this morning around 11 am.  No Ritz of course.  The manager said they only had 8 and people were lined up at the door when they opened.  I messed up the deodorant deal because they had everything mislabled.  (I made them refund it and the 2nd time around, I got it right).  I had to ask for the Scott towels and Matchlight and the manager got them from the back for me.  Then they wouldn't do 2 transactions for me.  They said it was against their new corporate coupon policy.  I was so frustrated I left without buying most of the stuff I intended to get.  Why do I bother?

      • ireneY

You've just described a typical Wags trip, but the potential deals are just too tempting! Check back with them later when the next round of deals roll around and it might be a different experience. My closest store is improving now that there's a new manager. He actually greets me and looks for additional stock happily when asked. The previous manager acted like I woke him from a nap and couldn't be bothered. I can't be certain he had teeth as I've never seen him manage a smile.

A year's worth of Wags punishment has at last paid off!

    • Krikey509

I hear a lot of complaints about Walgreens, but in Lawrenceville Ga. the manager is terrific! He is so helpful every time we go there… he goes out of his way to make sure we have a wonderful shopping experience!  Mr. Pierce you rock!!!!!

      • Lindam4876

I should try Lawrenceville then. Loganville is out of everything on sale, every week since the extreme couponing show started. Yesterday I went to the Centerville wags first, and they were ehe store that had signs up on the advertised deals saying many advertised deals were out of stock and rain checks would not be issued. I have also had problems with Athens wags, but called them this morning and they “say” they have plenty of the deodorants right guard and degree for women. Hate to drive that far, though.

      • Jaxlaw

Likewise, I'm in Jacksonville,FL and go to 4-5 different Walgreens in a 4-5 mile radius and have had good experiences at all of them. In fact, yesterday the $2 RR did not print for the Wheat Thins I bought, so the manager gave me $2 cash.

One thing that I do is to make sure I always pay something on a purchase (i.e., .50, .25, etc), and I never do more than one or two RR purchases at a time. Finally, I travel to all the stores in my area and spread the transactions out. So far, for Sunday and Monday, I have bought approximately $145 of merchandise for $34.

      • me

the manager at the walgreens near my house, she loves couponers and she also goes out of her way make sure i get everything i need, she even gives me ideas for fillers

      • Yari1123

Omg can you tell me which one because the one on Pleasant hill in Duluth gives me hard time and arent very plesant, at least the cashiers I have had check me out. I dont argue with them I just leave but Im starting to think that I shouldnt let them get away with not letting me purchase a item because they aremt familiar with their own policy.

    • guest

Is it possible to use 4 of the B1G1 Degree deodorants to buy 4?

      • Casablancafashions

No, all u need is (2) B1G1 to get 4 deos! However u could use (2) $.75/1 in addition to the B1G1… Hope that helped

    • Aabbott6824

i tried the triple calcium deal where you use the wags coupon booklet to get 5 off and get 10 rr back. i was VERY rudely told that i couldnt so instead of spending around 25 like i had planned on i walked out spending 75 bc they were out of EVERYTHING that had rr on it in the ad. i am so frustrated with wags and the most upsetting thing about it is that wags is actually my fav for deals. i emailed corp bc of a prob i had a couple weeks ago(i had a $3 off 2 wags book coupon for 2 glade candles and in the pic on the coupon was a .5 oz candle in a glass jar, they had the .5oz in metal jar on sale 2/$3 so i thought i was gonna walk out paying 0 but at the register i was told i had to get what was in the picture, not what the wording said) the response i got back was from the local manager saying to come in and talk to her.not the response i was expecting:(

      • Tiff715

I was also told I couldnt use the wag coupons with the Applied Nutrition Triple Calcium, the cashier even scaned the coupon showing me that the computer would not take it, so he wasnt lieing. Im not sure if anyone will be able to get the overage with that

      • Lindam4876

I am the same way with walgreens. My region is not offering the calcium deal. But why advertise it for $10 with a $10 RR when they know they have a coupon for $5 in the June book and then refuse to let you have it. I had the exact same problem with the exact same candles. The coupon didn't specify pictured only, but they wouldn't let me have them. I also had the free carefree pantiliners coupon and they were on sale for $.99. The clerk told me they couldn't give me anything for free. I showed her they were advertising it in their circular for FREE and she finally gave them to me. I e-mailed walgreens the next day and got no response. I called corporate a week later and was told they would elevate my complaint one level and I would receive a call within 48 hours. That was 3 weeks ago and I still have heard nothing from them. I am at the point where I want to stop shopping wags. This week, two stores are out of the degree and right guard deodorant and one of the stores has signs up that states “Due to the advertised sales this week, many items are out of stock and rain checks will NOT be issued. They have very bad customer service.

    • i went today at noon, 2 different locations…and realized fully why every sunday i get up at 5am and go to my 24hr walgreens…none of the deals i really needed were in stock! crackerfuls are my favorite cracker and i was waiting till today to buy them since you can't beat free plus more money to spend next time…got rainchecks but im being told they come in sporadically, only 5 or 6 boxes at a time…well why put them on sale then? only a few people would have the chance to purchase them…

      • Guest

I felt the same way.  I went to one store at 9am yesterday and they were all gone.  I went down the street to another store and they only had 4 boxes left.

    • guest

where do you find the June walgreens coupon booklet?

      • Alison

front of store where the weekly circulars and carts are – they are tall and skinny like fold-up maps or travel brochures

    • Bella

Try this link for the Scott papertowel printable…

      http://www.scottbrand.com/community/savings/scott

    • I tried to use the icy hot $1 off Q, but b/c the product was only 99 cent they would not allow me to use the Q. I tried 3 stores, any one else get around this issue, please share. I love to make a dollar on a product.

      • guest

I am going to try buying 2 and see if the q scans to cover the penny and then just get 2 free instead of making a dollar.

      • Lzbacnik

I was told at my Wags that it is now company policy to accept a $ 1.00 for a .99 cent item.  They are to change it on their register as a .99 cent item.

      • Guest

I went to one store and they adjusted the price of the item to $1.00 and scanned the coupon.  I went to another store and they adjusted the price of the coupon down to .99.

      • faith

I carry a copy of Walgreens coupon policy and show them
there own rules and usually  “teach” the manager how to do there job!  Honestly its sad, but if you get in good terms with the manager and show them whats going on, they normally do what Jenny is suggesting.  Now, it  may take a couple of weeks for the manager and staff to get on the same page!

      • ym

when I checked out, my walgreens raised the price of the icy hot from .99 to $1 and then I could use the $1 coupon!

      • Conniej1958

Michelle G. – I had the same problem, the cashier called the manager who came up and had her void the .99 and over-ride it for the $1.00 no problem after that and I did get the register rewards as well.  Good Luck!

    • Coupongal18

I figured that since I was going today (Monday), I would get nothing on my list because I have been late on Sunday and they usually have NOTHING…..frustrating but…..I did manage to get some of my items so I was pleased….

      Here's what I got:
      (1) Listerine
      (1) Goody's Head Powder
      (1) Orbit gum
      (2) OFF Clip on kits
      (1) Bounty's Paper towels – my store was out of Scott's Naturals so they were substituting the Bounty – I just couldn't use my coupon but I was ok since it was only $1.00
      (1) Children's Motrin – son is sick so I HAD to get this!!!!!

      Total before anything: $33.54
OOP after coupons and RR's – $11.51 which six is the motrin…..so for my coupon deals – only $5.51 which I was excited about.  I got back $2.50 RR – not a lot but they didn't have a few of my items that I planed for RR's – like the Ritzfuls and Listerine and Icy Hot…..

    • Southerncouponclipper

Can't find the $2.00 Q for the Off Clip On.  Is there a zip code that will work?

      • Conniej1958

Southerncouponclipper – I believe if you go to the Off brand website and register it will then allow you to print the coupons.

    • Donna

      Hey Jenny the Walgreens deal
-$5 off Applied Nutrtion supplements June Walgreens coupon booklet
-$1 off Applied Nutrtion supplements Answers at Walgreens: Vitamins & Supplements booklet
(FREE plus $5 profit!) The manager refused to give me the $5.00 deal and the $10 off RR! So I pitched a fit until he did and he told me not to come back in his store and try and do it again!!!! I said fine! But I got the $5 discount and the $10 RR. I am in Jacksonville so everyone be prepared!!!

      • ireneY

        LMAO!!

      • Dvossman

        which store?

      • Mel

He's the manager so I would assume he know whats he's talking about. If cashiers, and managers have to deal with people like you every day there going  to make things more difficult. It's not the serious, the same thing happend to me yesterday and I just did not  buy the item.

        • Tim222

Your a good man Mel bless you

      • Noahjaydamom

I tried the same thing. I am in Jax too!  Very disappointed!  Wondering which WG you had this experience at? I am almost ready to give up on that store all together.

        • Tim222

Give up already do price matching save your sanity

      • Karen in FL

I went to a store in Ormond Beach, FL they also wouldn't let me use the $5.00 Wags coupon. She said the register wouldn't take it.  She even tried. Called over someone to verify and she said that the $10 rewards was offered by the Mfr and I said yes and this $5 coupon is a Wags coupon.  She said why would we sell you something for $5 and give you $10 in rewards back?  I said “I don't know, but you printed the coupon.”  I wasn't in the mood for arguing, I told her I would take the supplement anyway since it was free, but I was putting back the $40 worth of vitamins I was going to use the $10 rewards on.  Paid my bill and let with the $10 rewards.  It's there screw up.  They should honor what the print.  I've gotten so I don't even ask for rain checks at Wags.  They are just too much of a hassle.  I spend most of my money in CVS.  They are much more pleasant to deal with.

      • Minnil0ve

I had no problem in my store.  The coupon beeped and wwouldn't go through.  The cashier just called the manager on the phone and she said to reduce the product price by the $5

        • Cathy

Same thing for me – the coupon beeped, the manager came over and said reduce the price, gave me rain checks on all the missing sale items. He even re-rang up one of the coffee drinks because I had put 2 of them in the same transaction so I missed a $2 RR. He made it a separate transaction so I could get the RR. I love my WAGS. Not so much CVS.

        • Jeffandjanm

Did you still get the $10 rewards?   My store did the same thing, but the cashier said if she reduced the price by $5.00, the machine wouldn't print out the $10. rewards…..just wondering if she knew what she was talking about.  I do think they should honor the coupons.

          • Philiprushing

my wag excepted it beause it does not specifyon coup. so they dropped the price $5 and i used 5rr and got 10rr back.

      • sumtercoupongirl

I was told today at my store in Sumter, SC, by the manager that the picture did not match the product and wouldn't be accepted. She went on to tell me about the “loss prevention team” warning them about this….If the store hadn't been so crowded, I would have given her a piece of my mind!

        • Tim222

Give her a piece of your mind you go girl

    • Dpc0

Can't find the printable coupon for Scott paper towels

    • Aly B

Does anyone know if Walmart will price match the Walgreens 2 day sale?  IE, the Scott's paper towel?

      • tygirl13

I would think so.  An advertised sale is an advertised sale….  As long as you go on one of the two days…

    • yv123

Does anyone really believe that Walgreens cannot properly estimate order quantities for nationally advertised sales? Really? So this happens all over the country week after week and it's not by design?  We once called this practice “come on” ads.

Same scenario at Wags yesterday morning and today as it has been for months of my racing over there for the sales.  Visited several Walgreens, starting with Belmont NC.  Icy Hot, Goodys & BC: gone.  Ritz: gone.  Degree Deod: gone. Act II Popcorn: gone.  Renyolds wrap: gone.  Scott towels: gone.  Got2B smaller sizes B1G1: gone.  Right Guard: gone. Waste of gas as usual.  Cashier couldn't possibly say when next truck would arrive. Couldn't check with manager, BIG sigh and eye roll. Moved on to the Clover SC store similar story, managed to find an icy hot and although polite, the cashier wouldn't take the $1.00 coupon despite my having the Wags printed policy in hand.  Insisted I buy another item.  I left in disgust.

After four weeks of trekking to two different Walgreens, I am convinced
that this “out of stock” story is nothing more than “come on”
advertising.I have arrived early Sunday to find empty shelves with
Managers explaining that they only had “a few” items anyway, or the three consumers in the store at the time must have hoarded items.  My favorite is the management simply doesn't  know how
many items to order! I find it VERY  hard to believe that a national
chain, with national advertising prgrams,  keeps store managers who demonstrate
over time that they can't manage to properly estimate order quantity, particularly on items with RRs.  Is that a surprise?

So here is a message for Walgreens (which I have emailed to them and to the AG in our state:  Stop the deceptive ads.  Stop the culture of rudeness. Stop blaming consumers for buying products that you advertise. Stop allowing managers to take heat for what is so obviously by strategy/design.   Stop wasting my gas and my time.  I'll be at Rite Aid and CVS thank you very much.

      • Khjbcoupns

i certainly understand your frustration… i now make one trip and one trip only per week…. if the item is out of stock i ask for a rain check.. staple my coupons to the raincheck..  on my next visit i check to see if that item is in stock…pay attention to the raincheck expiration dates… if i have not found the item and the raincheck is about to expire i simply ask for a raincheck on the raincheck.. that way they know that i ahve been back in the store .. this practice is just one more layer added by the retailers to try to trip you up….

        • yv123

I know, I've done the rain checks, however the rr doesn't print after the sale period. Funny how nothing seems to come back into stock until  the sale period is long over.  I will not be shopping Walgreens until they change their practices to reflect that they value their customers. Saving a buck  is great but I don't intend to be treated rudely and manipulated. Keep the buck.

The folks we have at our CVS & Rite Aid are happy to assist me, they are not rude.  They also tend to have more sale items in stock throughout the week and trucks come on specified dates.  When UPS weren't printing one day our Rite Aid manager contacted corporate to verify the process for having UPS mailed to customers!   One of the Rite Aid cashiers, a young man, is a coupon deal wizard, he just sees it and will often tell you how the deal could be better if you have the right coupons!  So for my money Walgreens can keep their rude cashiers, their icy hot and their aluminum foil.   Walgreens doesn't value the customers and they act like they're doing you a favor by opening the door.

          • Tim222

See just go to the other stores they are more friendly.

      • LeAnn

My store told me there was an issue with the supplier for the Ritz Crackerfuls and that none of our local stores had them.

        • yv123

I understand that sometimes there are supplier problems, shipping issues and weather delays.  When, however,  the circular sale items are “gone” within hours of opening on Sundays, and there is nothing but empty shelf spaces for the next week, then I call that a pattern.  At Walgreens sale items can most often be identified by the big empty spaces.

          • Georgiacindi

Most Walgreens have the same problem with lots of their items, the excuse I go today was that they put more items in the big city stores which is a joke because the store I was in was in Athens.  I always have to go to different stores to get my items, told the Athens manager I would not be back to his store, also took the survey.

            • BoxerMom

The busier stores and the 24 hour stores do get more stock then the slower stores. So it's really not an excuse

            • BoxerMom

My store isn't a busy store so we dont always get everything I ordered in. Also depends on when your store gets its truck. Ours just got moved to Saturday, I'm out of some stuff already and won't get replenished till then and we all know Saturday is the last day of the sale :(

        • GUEST

At the store in Charlotte, they are substituting Wheat Thins, Triscuits or Ritz Crackers.  The RR printed out.  Couldn't use the crackerfuls coupon, but still a good deal.

      • Sskip84

My store has insanely greedy consumers who are there before the store opens and literally will go in groups taking everything and buying it in seperate transaction bc we (I work there) put limits on everything. It is out of controll and bc of these people coupons are going to start coming fewer and fewer and new policies will be inforced. I am sick and tired of it. I can never get all the good deals. There should be a limit on everything! Everyone would then enjoy the products. And we do order ahead but bc of publicity and new tv shows, we aren't getting enough product in bc the warehouses are out and maufactures aren't fullfilling the supply vs demand!

        • Tim222

I feel sorry for you but the customers are still going to blame and mistreat you for not getting the free things the web sites coached them on and the preperation of down loading coupons on their 10 printers most own.

          • Mcleodsc

            Who owns 10 printers?

            • Tim222

Did you forget place of bussiness

      • Tim222

It would be best to go to other stores and save the gas and your sanity

    • Shell2633

I just started using register rewards a few weeks ago! Today I got 36 bottles of the palmolive for $4.68. I bought the goodys for 1.50 (1.59 with tax) and then used the $1.50 RR for 2 bottles of the palmolive on salefor .88 each. Then I got peanut butter for .50 each doing the same turnaround with the goodys. The domino sugar was on sale for 2.19 and I had a coupon for .50 off which made it .19 but walgreens only lets you use one coupon per item. So I got some lip pencils at .69 to go with the purchase so I could use my coupon. I also got 16 boxes of cereal for .59 each. They had a lot of other RR deals, but I didnt want to clear the shelf. They had 6 boxes of the goodys and BC so I there were plenty left.

      • Angela

grabbing 36 bottles of palmolive/16 boxes of cereal isn't considered clearing the shelves??  wow.  I guess I forgot how to count.

        • Tim222

All you have to see when you go in the store next time see how many fit on a shelf.

      • Coupongal18

Wow – 36 bottles of palmolive, really? Did you need that many? Did you leave ANY on the shelf for other people? I'm with Angela – that seems like shelf clearing to me……..

      • Zoe021601

I agree with the previous posters, was it necessary for you to buy that many? It's because of people doing this, that couponers get such criticism. You really shouldn't be so greedy.

      • A Sad Coupon User

what a shame…6 boxes left on the shelf is plenty? eventually karma will return the favor.

      • sweet

Why did you have to get 36 bottles of the Palmolive? I would be ashamed to walk out with that many…especially if there were other customers who needed to purchase them as well. Did you ever stop to think that a lot of elderly people on fixed incomes shop at Walgreens!!!! And seriously, then you had to cart the 39 bottles home and find a place to store them. Didn't it make you feel selfish and silly???? Please don't use the line..I'm going to donate the rest….I think it is rude not to save some of these bargins for the other customers. SAD SAD SAD. With customers like you…no wonder the shelves are bare. Thanks Shell2633…and to think you typed it for all to see!

      • Kerry

This is the exact reason I keep emailing/writing Walgreens corporate imploring them to create a customer card (ala CVS) in order to properly track and limit deals to help curb shelf clearing. It may not stop the hoarders completely but at least they'll have to work a little harder…as in borrowing their neighbor's, 3rd cousin's, podiatrist's, & garbage man's cards, etc. to get more deals since they are usually “shopping for multiple families”.

    • LeAnn

How can you tell which variety of an item is part of the RR deal? For example, I bought some of the Degree deodorant today and first of all the ones marked as part of RR were $4.49 on the shelf but rang $3.75. There were some other varieties that were shelf price $3.49 but did not have the RR tag under them. Can a cashier scan them and let you know if they are part of RR? My Walgreens didn't have a sale sign on any of the items I wanted (such as the Reynolds Wrap). Is this typical? This was the first time I had tried using the techniques I learned here. Oh, and the Degree that I got was the “Adrenaline Series”. Thanks in advance!

      • BoxerMom

the store will have an ad batch with the items specifically on register rewards. They will send down tags for each item that's included. Usually If it doesn't have a tag over the mylar its not included. All it takes is just asking if you aren't sure. Cosmetics usually isn't as busy as the rest of the store so you can always ask you Beauty Advisor (especially since most of the RR deals are in Cos lol) Good luck

    • Tired…..

The $5 coupon in the June book doesn't apply towards the calcium. If you go into the store and check the vitamin aisle corporate sent down tags for all the vitamins from that manufacturer that the coupon works on. You can't blame Walgreens for a post here when obviously its a mistake on this site. The coupon won't work at any store the register will beep and let you know that nothing was sold to use that coupon. Mistakes happen, I remember when Jenny posted that the $5 coupon in the coupon book worked on the Children's Oscillococcinum brand flu relief that had a register reward when it didn't (that was a few months ago) The deals was posted before you could even use the June book in the store, so the deal was never checked to make sure it was 100% legit. I'm so mad that you want to blame Walgreens when they never verified that the coupon would work, nor do they have signs in their store saying you can use the coupon and get the $10 RR. I'd think you'd be happy just getting it free after the $10RR. I guess you can make everyone happy……………..

      • Angela

But the June book coupon booklet did not specify which items not valid on…It didn't have any restrictions.  I'm not sure you can just assume the consumer will know which items it can apply to, esp if store tags are often wrong/missing.

        • BoxerMom

I'm not assuming but going to the register and pitching a fit about it? I mean really how old are we? Just consider looking at it from both sides instead of always assuming its the stores fault. Mistakes happen, look they happen on this website. I understand that alot of you are frustrated but why blast us when we feel the need to vent back? I do the ordering for my store and I take my job very seriously. I try to make sure we have the sales in stock but even if I order multiples I'm lucky if I receive everything I order. I don't think enough of us Walgreens Employees stand up for ourselves on here. All the negative comments run off new couponers. Where's the positive feedback?

          • Awilliams45

I AGREEE!!! I work for Walgreens also. These people on here do not understand and they never will. We have no control over what the warehouse sends us. We order the ad items a few weeks in advance. If they come, then they come. If not, there's nothing we can do about it. I am nice to any customers including people with 749247910410 coupons! But, it gets frustrating when people try to tell us how to do our job. We understand your frustration but don't take it out on us! I'm speaking for myself because i treat everyone with the upmost respect but sometimes the cuponers take it too far. Some employees will not even deal with it because there's always an issue and the customer gets mad and doesn't understand that some things are out of the emplyees hands. Don't take it out on us.. just saying!!

            • Couponkeisha

Question and feel free to ask your fellow co-workers:  Whats the attitude towards coupons?  Yea someone may have 74924…….coupons but hell who cares?  Your still getting paid, Walgreens is DEFINETLY still getting paid and the customer is saving money so that they can continue to shop resulting in increased sales, continued employment for you and everyone else and your Manager looks good for having a store that has a high productivity and sales.  That I will never understand.  LOL…wow :)

            • RN

I TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU…us couponers/loyal customers to WG help the economy. It provides traffic, jobs, and advertises products to the public to purchase. WG is reimbursed for all coupons – so why the hell are they hating on couponers. WG should be ecstatic that business is given to them and not to the other competitors such as CVS and Rite Aid.

          • yv123

If a supply/warehouse issue is affecting stores and generating complaints in many markets week after week after week, do you wonder why it hasn't been resolved at that warehouse/supply chain/corporate level?  I do.

This has nothing to do with 'greedy' people or anyone who would “pitch a fit”, Wags cannot blame the consumer for responding  to weekly national advertising (as the corporation would like them to) only to find that the products are consistently unavailable week after week & throughout the entire sales periods.

I don't think negative comments will “run off” new shoppers.  I do think that advertising products that seem to  be consistently unavailable in store might do that though.

            • Kerry

I'm not so sure it's a warehouse/supply issue and here's why: All pharmacies basically follow the same order-for-sales procedure. However, Walgreens shelves are always bare by Sunday morning while typically you can still find deals at CVS & Rite Aid. The difference is both CVS & Rite Aid have customer cards which track your purchases causing you to keep within the posted limits. Walgreens does NOT. That tells me that the problem with Walgreens IS unethical couponers/greedy shelf-clearers.

            • yv123

When a store manager tells me week after week that he is only receiving a few items for the entire sales period, and he cannot explain the issue, I really start to wonder.    Why no resolution?

Sorry but I really do not think we can blame consumers for buying products as stimulated by the national advertising and in accordance with the corporate policies.   After all that is the intended result, and the ads are effective in increasing store traffic.  So why the constant shortages on sale/discounted items? No trending, no past sales figures, no increased shipping? Why not?

I think the store managers tell the real story, that they ordered quantity and didn't receive it (can't say why) or that they were not made aware of the upcoming rr items and did not order sufficient quantity.  I've been told it's just a 'guessing game' with the warehouses. Unfortunately those at the retail store level take the heat and the consumers are told they are greedy, or they should not hold any expectation that the advertised merchandise will likely be available at their store.

            • Kerry

If you scroll down to a post by Shell 2633 you'll see she bought 36 bottles of Palmolive from Walgreens today. I guarantee you 1) If Walgreens had a customer card he/she wouldn't have been allowed to purchase that many 2)He/she wouldn't have been able to do that at CVS or Rite Aid due to their limits tracked by customer cards. Maybe we'll agree to disagree but buying 36 bottles of Palmolive is considered greedy (bordering on vulgar) and greatly contributes to the bare shelves at Walgreens.

            • yv123

I can agree about the 36 bottles of Palmolive and I'd like to see a customer card too.  Having said that, if the store is nationally advertising  product and deliberately imposes no limits/restrictions, and has analytics/tracking data to indicate previous demand, why aren't they stocking/shipping accordingly?

The ads are designed to increase store traffic and move product.  They are successful.  Shell2633 is within their plan and their policy.  Even as you and I may not approve of the purchase, Shell2633 hasn't done anything that Wags trends couldn't predict and respond to.

            • Kerry

I understand your theory that the issue is supply & demand. With that said, how many of each item would be enough? If another 9 people bought what Shell2633 bought that would be 360 bottles of Palmolive for just 10 customers. There will never be enough stock on hand of sale items to satisfy everyone, regardless of what the store manager orders or what the warehouse sends. So, let's hope a customer card is created so sales can be limited and strictly enforced :)

          • Angela

Then you shouldn't assume.  You're voicing your experience with the customers, yet these are individual isolated events.  There will always be bad apples/couponers  in any bunch – same with cashiers.  I am merely commenting on the coupon policy, or the lack of specifications on the June coupon booklet.  That's it.

          • JUstine21

I do not think the negative comments are runnig people off Its like hollywood it is great advertisment.

        • Couponkeisha

Totally agree.  If you could only use the coupon on certain supplements then why not list the ones that will work instead of leaving it open to try and interprete?  I tried to use it and it didnt work the Manager copped an attitude on why the coupon wouldn't work he had no valid answer except “I dont know” hmmmm I guess me along with other customers are just supposed to figure it out?  Wow!

      • Awilliams45

I agree. The deals listed are POTENTIAL deals. You cannot get mad at Walgreens for that! It's already free so I don't understand why anyone is even complaining.

        • yv123

I guess they could advertise their rr and sales circular as potential sale items.   Again, this is a national chain, running national sale items to increase store traffic, not to be nice. Seems that they consistently failing to stock the circular items, particularly rr items, in quantities reasonable to even approach demand for one day.  They are aware of the issue according to the manager in our store. So why don't they have managers provide increased quantities at the store levels?  There must be a reason.

          • Awilliams45

I do not know the reason. We can only order it and hope the warehouse sends it.. But at my store we stay on top of the sale items and RR but still manage to fall short. We don't mind people using coupons at all! because at the end of the day the company is not losing money. I think it is more of a warehouse issue which no one understands. But, we do order all ad items a week to two weeks prior to the sale.

            • Tala

You have already answered yourself- why…  You order all ad items a week to two weeks priot to the sale.  There are plenty of website which are putting walgreens weekly add for future sales- 3- 5 weeks in an advance.  I am sure that  there are some managers who orders items 4 weeks in an advance and the rest just ordering it when warehouses are empty.

      • Tim222

The employees tell me about the attitudes of the customers and I do believe them I see it right here on the website.

        • Tala

Did you employees tell you how well they know Walgreens coupon policy? I have been in the store in September 2010 when a policy became affective and they have no knowelage of this. I came back in January 2011 and they still have 0 knowelage. It's end of the May and I went to the same 4 stores and all of them have the same 0 knowelage. When a coupon beep because it's 3 and item which I wanted to buy was 2.99  i was told about coupon fraud, not legitime coupon, not a coupon for an item ( even thought  it was pictured), to contact a vendor and let them know that a coupon doesnt work,  come to see  a manager when he/she will be in the store, that a person would be fire if she/he adjust a coupon.  It took me about 15 minutes  to get an adjustment  in on store.

    • awilliams

First of all, the reason why there are never any products is because greedy couponers come and take all of the items right away! and the $5 off coupon for the free item is obviousy not going to be accepted. It is in fact the only the ones pictured. If the register doesn't take the coupon, then it doesn't take the coupon. Get over it. The registers are getting smarter and only accepting the coupons if it is the exact item. Also, there is a new coupon policy at Walgreens that only allows you to use four like coupons per day- i.e if you are trying to buy 10 bc powders because you have ten coupons, it's not going to happen. Some Walgreens may allow you to for now but once the new policy is in full effect they are not going to allow it.

      • Zoe021601

Wow, you don't have to be a jerk about it. The coupon said Applied Nutrition Supplements. It did not list a certain variety, it didn't list restrictions. So one SHOULD assume it is for ALL VARIETIES. And yeah, there is a lot of couponers looking for good deals, but the main reason they run out of stock on these deals fast is because they are a drugstore, not a major supermarket, so the stock is low to begin with. Quit being a dick.

      • me

the $ 5 off coupon does work and its legit, i call corporate and ask about it their answer was “according to our policy you can use it “

        • tatiana

I work for walgreens, I was told that anyone can call corporate, and they can say whatever they want but the store manager is the ONLY one who can make the last desicion to wether to take or not take a coupon. I did buy 2 of the vitamins that were on sell, with 2 different managers, one offered me the $5 off and got the $10RR back, the other manager didn't allowed it. She said whatever is on the picture is what they can take. I do think this is wrong, they should take it just because it says on any dietary supplement, which it is. The picture shows 2 different items But like I said it deppends on the manager that is on duty and the knowledge they have with coupons.! Many don't know how they work, so they just say NO.

          • Tim222

Yes but I also know you get a employee discount of 15% and 20% on walgreens products so that was a money maker for you so stop your whining girl have a blessed day.

            • tatiana

Hun Im not whining!! I just simply said that there are very nice managers that will work with couponers and will take the coupons unlike other rude managers that dont. Yes we do get 15% on regular items and 20% on walgreens brands. But Just for being an employee it doesnt mean we get everything for free or that they make a special  treat for you. If corporate sees that an employee takes advantage, we can get fire. Never whined a bit, I only wanted people to know that some managers are not very aware on how to use coupons, specially for the vitamin one. It's a very misleading coupon. You have a nice day!

            • JUstine21

Do not you think products should be offered to the customer first before you take two you say you get a limited amount of stock then on the last day of the sale if there is any then you may purchase. After all you depend on us for your job.

        • Erikashines

I called corporate, and got the same answer. I can use the $5 applied nutrition coupon. My manager had refused it saying “I’m not going to allow it. It feels like cheating”. Corporate is mailing me a $5 gift card. My store will be receiving coupon policy training. This same manager told me I had to buy 4 items to use a B1G1 coupon on a B1G1 sale a few weeks ago. I expect the MANAGEMENT be familiar with the coupon policy. And yes; sometimes the deals “feel like cheating” to me too. However, I do not make the policy. I only know it and expect it to be followed by all the wags consistently.

Went this morning all the good deal was out:(

    • Sayaja

Can anyone tell how's the rain check on RR work? It's just confusing bc my wag tell me I can get the raincheck on the sale price but they wouldn't give me the RR!! So it's that right

      • BoxerMom

you can ask for the print out off from our computer to mail into catalina. you fill it out along with your receipt and they send your coupon via mail

    • connie

Wow alot of whining. I understand it's very upsetting when you have a bad store. These ppl are here to help us and it sounds like there's some WAGs that need retraining. As for the vitamins and other deals posted in this site, I don't look at this and say “oohh wow look what I can get for free because this lady put it on a website.” I think look what I could possibly get. None of this is set in stone, you either get the deals or you don't, sometimes it's someone's fault and sometimes it's just the way things are.

The shelf clearing is insane. I understand if you're going to donate, but if that's the case pls call ahead to the store and make arrangements so there's product for others. Otherwise how many deodarants and body washes can one household use? The most I've ever bought at one time is 4 and that's just to make the bo/go deals to work out. Other than that 2 is my max. I think that much can hold me over till the next big sale.

      • Tim222

Yes the ad does say one

      • yv123

No whining here.  If a national chain is going to post national advertised sales & register reward items and consistently fail to stock the merchandise in reasonable  quantity it is not as advertised.  I have not seen anyone hoarding at all.  I have seen empty shelves from the first hours of the sales periods through the last day though. I have noted this week after week at Wags.    Managers have said they didn't receive merchandise in quantity, they only had a few units at all for the sales period,  they didn't order enough, etc. The statements regarding 'greedy' customers are simply a blame the consumer strategy.  This is a business, they are not doing you a favor by running sales, they are competing for your business like other retailers. Seems anything with rr is gone within the hour of opening at the several stores in our region.  Seems simple enough to do the trends and order more doesn't it?  So ask yourself, why don't they?

Let's not even get into the culture of exasperation and rudeness at our stores here.

        • BoxerMom

I can promise you that I order plenty and just dont receive it. You guys are all whining based on your own opinion you don't have the facts. We are ordering to supply the demand but when you dont get it in you don't get it in. I know I ordered 30 of the Calcium Vitamins for the ad for last Thursday and I didn't get any. WE don't get daily truck like the grocery stores so yes our supplies are already limited when the ad breaks. Even if you 1 person doesn't buy every single item on the shelf, but a few come in and do 2 or 3 that still wipes our shelves out.

          • Marysc1000

I understand that maybe the lack of stock is out of your control but it is firmly a Walgreens issue, and you represent Walgreens.  While it may frustrate you to have to deal with upset customers, it is even more frustrating for customers to drive to your store and repeatedly be faced with empty shelves.

My local Rite Aid only gets a truck every two weeks.  Really frustrating for the manager and staff.  BUT they give rain checks (including +Ups) when things are out of stock, so customers are less frustrated.   Walgreens won’t, it just seems they don’t care about inconveniencing their customers. That’s why I go to RiteAid and CVS almost every week and Walgreens every few months, even though there are 2 Walgreens closer to me than either of the other two stores.

    • Monica

Walgreens 2 day sale is almost over!  If your store was bare shelved just go to Walmart nd price match.  I was able to get the Ritz crackerfuls and the Reynolds wrap at Walmart.  Walgreens had the Scott, Lay's, and Doritos.

    • Ann

I  love to save just like everyone else….please coupon shoppers be nice…..everyone needs help….Walgreens policy on Register Reward items is (1) item….most stores allow 3 that is so we do not get wiped out and then have to listen to unhappy customers….customers this week have been mad when they could not get more than 3 RR deals on same product but in fine print it says it is (1) per customer ….. the store has sales every week…… everyone can help someone in need…. buy somethine for yourself and help someone else

    • Jojo102295

its pointless to even attempt a list of walgreens sales.. the items are never in stock no matter what day of the sale it is.. so i hope all the idiots out there who feel the need to clean shelves will be satisfied when stores get enough corporate complaints to stop allowing the coupons at all

      • Tala

What are you saying it is a nonsense- stop allowing the coupons at all.
A small private store can't take coupons, but not this kind of chain as CVS or Walgreens.

    • Joanna

i believe in finding the best deals possible…i have a family and i need to save money..but i also realize that others need the same courtesy… i dont need 20 of everything just because its a great deal..and sooner or later the stores will get tired of pple complaining about extreme couponers and will no longer allow them or get so tight on them no one will get the deals anymore

      • tatiana

This is so true! I work for walgreens, and I do couponing myself and I just think is just way too greedy when some couponers just come and wipe the shelfs out. For this reason, Walgreens and many other stores are making new coupon policies, thanks to the people that think is ok to be greedy and leave the shelfs empty!!!

        • Georgiacindi

My walgreens has limits so I don't see why this should be a problem it they have enough stock.

    • I went to Walgreen's on Sunday around 5:30pm and the shelves were absolutely bare.  I was told that at about 15 minutes before the store opened, a long line of people formed outside (approximately 15).  Those people pretty much cleaned the store out.  First of all, I have to laugh because free crackers and vitamins is hardly enough to get me to go stand in a line on a Sunday morning.  It was like it was Black Friday (except Sunday in Spring) or something LOL

It would be nice though if Walgreen's would have more of the items that are going to be on sale in stock.  I notice at CVS they try to at least pack the shelves with as much as they can before a big sale comes.

      • gail

LOL your post is too funny.  I said the same thing.  I went after church Sunday and most items were gone.  The employees said that people were standing in line Sunday morning and I said like Black Friday! LOL she said yes.  Wow the crackers and paper towels were not that serious to lose sleep over!

      • Joanna

that is exactly what i told my sister..it would be different if you were getting an Xbox for free..but crackers..LOL..who lines up for free crackers

    • Candice

Once again, the walgreens around here have none of some of  the advertised items! Yesterday, when I talked to a manager he said that not all of the stores carry the items in the sale paper and that it is in the fine print at the bottom of the flier (This was at my favorite Walgreens). I went to another 3 stores today and none had the vitamins or the Listerine smart rinse. My fav store offered a raincheck for the price, but not the RR. The last store I went to posted a sign on the Listerine Smart Rinse saying there was a prob getting a shipment from the manufacturer and they were not offering rainchecks. I wish they would just carry what they advertise. Whether it is in small print or not I feel that this is false advertising! I really wanted that mouthwash for my kids.

    • Love_the_Food

Free Royal Gelatin>  in ad coupon 5/ $1.  Found a Manufacturer's coupon at a dispenser at my local Publix $1 off 5 Royal Gelatins = FREE.

    • Inferno4915

I went to get the Calcium Supplement deal mentioned above at my local Walgreens.  The manager said I could not use the $5 off coupon, because the product was already on sale for $10 and there are $10 RR when you buy it.  She would not take the coupon.  Basically told me I was getting a good deal anyway, so why should I need the coupon!

      • Conniej1958

Inferno4915 – My store  tried to do the same thing to me.  I told them that the it was the brand name of Applied Nutrition and it was a supplement as shown on the back of the box.  The manager then did a manual adjustment and over-rode the price to $5.00, the same thing if it would have excepted the 5.00 off coupon.  It still printed out my $10 register rewards.  Try it again, before the sale ends.  Good Luck!

    • Scorpiogurlie04

So today I went to 6 yes 6 different walgreens to get the RITZ crackers and none of the had them 4 of the stores didnt even know what was in the add.  So I gave up and just ending up doing a little shopping at walmart.

      • Tim222

        Good idea

      • Squirrellyec

If you look at the back page at the bottom of the Walgreens weekly circular it does state that sale merchandise may not be available at all stores and only while supplies last.  I have gotten pretty familiar with the inventory available at my local store, so many times I can go ahead and mark a few things off the sales list that aren't available at my store.

    • Ann

I am a Walgreens employee who wants this to post so that people stop getting mad.and at times very very nasty to us…when the store has a 2 DAY ADD there are no rainchecks given..when the merchandise is gone that is it…but people come in and hoard..when there is no limit listed..I think 90% of the extreme couponing show is nothing but hoarding and does not set a good example ..Many things in the ad stores do not always get and that is stated at the bottom of the ad.. also stores do not have the storage facilities to keep the amounts of products customers think we should have.Everyone needs to think about all the people on fixed incomes

      • Shakem28

First of all you need to check your resources because you do give rain checks for the item, but cannot give it for the register reward. My store doesnt even carry the a lot of the items that are advertised and the ad just came out.  It was rediculous that these major drug stores arent stocked up for there advertising sales. How are you gonna make a business work! So please dont take this advise and speak to a manager or corporate office because isnt the customer always right.

        • Kerry

Actually I called corporate and was told “Walgreen's does NOT issue rainchecks on 1-day or 2-day sale items.” So Ann was right about that :)

        • BoxerMom

usually it says on the ads while supplies last but on the 2 day sale we dont have to give rainchecks. I was for the water since warehouse had only sent us 12 on the truck last week

        • Tim222

I see all the time in the store a customer yelling about a ad tag and the manager and customer look togeather and the customer reads the ad tag wrong so instead of saying they are sorry they yell again and blame walgreens how the ad tag is worded, the customer is not always right but most times very rude thats just what I have seen when I shop there after 50 years! Have a blessed day!

      • Kerry

Thank you for posting, Ann. I believe we are all frustrated, employees & customers alike, with the hoarding and shelf-clearing. I keep writing corporate asking for a Walgreens customer card so you can properly limit and track deals. I shop Walgreens all the time and the staff have been wonderful, even helping me find coupons in the Walgreens coupon book! I'm sorry you've had nasty customers but please know some of us really do appreciate you :)

      • Mcleodsc

Most couponers are not EXTREME COUPONERS! We do not shelf clear or hoard. We use coupons properly and are just trying to save money. That said -this is a really DISAPPOINTING week at WAGS. I do not understand why a store would have a 2 day sale on items that will not be in stock on those 2 days. I was told the truck comes in on Friday. I was not rude to any of the employees, just disgusted that WAGS would put out a sales flyer knowing the stores would not have the items available until AFTER the sale ended. I KNOW the employees have no control over NOT having the merchandise available.
HOARDERS AND EXTREME COUPONERS did not cause this fiasco-someone higher up the WAGS employment ladder did. HIGHER UPS HAD TO KNOW IN ADVANCE OF THE SALE THAT MOST OF THE MERCHANDISE WOULD NOT BE AVAILABLE AT THE STORES UNTIL AFTER THE SALE!  All WAGS store employees need to complain to higher ups about this fiasco so that it does not occur again. To us older shoppers it looks like a “bait and switch” practice which is illegal. This fiasco cannot be blamed on any of your shoppers!

        • Tim222

Nor the employees!!!! And now if you look when you shop MOST couponers are extreme!!!!! and RUDE it is some who are not they are rude to me when I shop they say the early bird gets the worm ,oh I am donating well we should not have any problems with the poor now I feel I do not have to give my change to the beggers on the street any more because couponers are now taking care of them and our military I guess our goverment does not take care of them also with our tax money. Have a blessed day!!

          • marinefamily4

IF you have ever been in the military and been deployed to a location where your not able to get certain things as we would here in the US, you would understand.  But since your uneducated to that fact, im sorry you must feel that way!  I send to our deployed soldiers over in afghanistan every month.  I dont clear the shelves by any means but in the afghan cities they dont have access to shaving cream, razors, soap ect.  When they do get those items they are gone within a few hours and basically they dont have access to them like we do.  Coming from a family of marines, i am honored to send things to them that they NEED.  So please before you post do some research as to why people would be sending things to our deployed, and dont judge them for it! Atleast some people care about the men and women protecting us right now! Remmeber its not that they cant afford it over there its that its never available and they need these things!

            • JUstine21

I think what tim was trying to say that some use donating for a exscuse to wipe out a shelf and proably just hears the same story all the time but I know a lot of friends and relitives buy things for thier families and friends over seas we should take care of our own as much as posible we can afford.

            • marinefamily4

Thank you for another perspective:) i read it it like this…the way he mentioned about the homeless then goes on to talk about military made me feel as if he was saying the they were alike, and to which they are not.  I understand some may use that as an excuse, shame on them for that, those people are the ones that give us the bad name just like the extreme couponers that abuse the coupons give the people using coupons to feed there family a bad name also.  You can tell who is buying stuff for over seas and not sending it because if they clear the shelf for chocolate ,body spray, laundry detergant, febreeze i mean you can jus tell:) All im saying to him is unless you know for sure he shouldnt judge anything! :)

    • Conniej1958

I just wanted to mention I had a problem locating the BC or Goody’s Headache Relief Powders (6 pk.) they were not in the pain medication aisle.  I asked for help as well and they didn't know anymore than I did.  At my second Walgreens when paying for my other items, I happened to notice them their at the register section where they say all the odds and ends.  Good Luck!

      • Jjrutt

In our store they had them out on the free table.

    • Mcleodsc

I just discovered something that may help with our frustrations. Go to Walgreens.com and enter the product you need in the search box. When it comes up , click on it. Below it is a line you can click to find out if the product is available at YOUR WAGS. You will know whether your store has a particular item before you leave home. This will save alot of unneccesary trips to WAGS this week looking for items that the store does not have.

        Thanks for sharing

I love my couponers, we have our regulars each week, We don't usually ever have nightmare problems at me store. I'm always going out of my way to help them of they need anything and they always come back even with us limiting the RR deals to one of each deal per household per day. ANd they keep coming back because my store gives amazing customer service. But then again my customers also understand that mistakes get made and there are mispostings sometimes on this website. Never have they ever gotten agitated  if a deal didn't go right. I simply try to figure it out with the cashier and we make it work. Couponing doesn't have to be a bad experience., and it shouldn't be. But whatever side of this issue you fall on either blaming it all on the store or blaming it all on the couponers we need to find common ground. We're all to old and too mature to run around pointing fingers. 90% of the posts on here are negative comments about Walgreens Employess and Management. Maybe we're tired of having it blasted that we don't do our job, but believe me I take pride in my job and love working for Walgreens. I have been with them nearly 10 years now and I have seen alot of policies come and go, I remember back when we didn't take internet coupons. With the running trend we might be changing the policy again. I will continue the fight with warehouse trying to get the merchandise in before the sale. But even If I had an abundance it doesn't always stop the fact that we have people doing multiple transactions sometimes up to 5 of each item. But then thats why we have the new policy.

      • Kerry

You could order 10,000 units of a sale item and it still wouldn't be enough because of unethical couponers.Say you stocked 200 Sure deoderants this week and the shelf was clear within an hour so next week you look at the sales/trends/demands of this week and now stock 400 Degree deoderants for the coming weeks sale, the shelf would still be cleared within an hour. Please don't feel you need to explain your ordering/warehouse procedures :) I know you say you limit RR to one per household per day but you can't really track or enforce this. I'm relishing the day Walgreens jumps on the customer care card idea so you can truly enforce the imposed limits. For now, please keep doing what your doing and have a wonderful day!

        • Tim222

          ME TOO!!!

    • Lrmeagher

At my walgreens there is 99 cent aquafresh toothpaste. If you go on aquafresh.com there is a $1 off coupon! (after you fill in your info) Will probably have to buy a filler to make up for tax, but with orbit at 69 cents I can handle that as mine! :)

    • sheila

I bought the 2 listerine’s and didn’t get the RR’s. Now how do I go about fixing this? Are they any where I can get a copy of the month long deals so I can show them?

    • lmd0803

I have a few catalinas I am happy to mail to someone if they would like them.  Is there a website I can post them to?

      • Amberj365

If you still have them, I'd be interested depending on what they can be used on and where they can be used.

        • lmd0803

They are Walgreens Catlinas:  Aleve $2 exp 7/11/11, Crest Sensitivity $2 exp 7/11/11, Covergirl Concealer $2  exp 7/25/11, Nature's Bounty $3 exp 8/18/11.  I would be happy to mail them to you.  My email address is lauriedonnelly2003@yahoo.com

          • Guest

If you want to gift them for free, you can always place them by the product on the shelf in your store. Someone will find it and appreciate it, and you don't have to spend money on postage.

Also, you might not want to put your email address out in public like that, you could get a bunch of spam-crap from crazy people.

    • Mcleodsc

After reading a comment farther down the list, I have a question. Exactly how many printers do YOU have? I only have one. I would not be able to afford the ink and paper for even a second one. Someone stated that couponers have 10 printers. Does ANYONE that follows Southern Savers actually have 10?

      • Gofast67

those are the ones that make it hard on the average couponer.

      • Pmortonfamily

you can still only print one per computer, it goes by your ip address not your printer.

      • Guest

It's not per printer, it's per computer. If someone has several computers at home or access to other computers at work/friend/family/library/etc they can usually print 2 coupons per computer.

Also, I hear laser printers are much cheaper (as far as ink/toner is concerned) thank ink-jet, and even cheaper if you get the DIY refills. Plus you can stock up on cheap/free paper with deals from the office supply stores on occasion.

      • Erkelly

I have 9 working computers to print from, but that is just because my husband is a software engineer and computers are his thing. Obviously enough, I don't print my coupons from all 9 computers.

    • Jjrutt

I just wanted to say i love my WAGS.  Sometime, yes they are out of items, but 95% of the time they always have the advertised items on the shelf.  Granted I do go on Sunday's and I don't clear the shelves.  They do on occasion not have a few item but usually that isn't their fault, as I am told they order as many as they can but they don't usually get what they ask for shipped to them and it is a fight at the distribution center to try to get all the products.  People seriously just need to chill out, it is not the employees fault if the store does not have something.

    • Alisacoupons

Did anyone else have a problem using the Icy Hot coupon?  My store in GA had the product in the back so you had to ask to get it.  My friend and I were doing 2 seperate transactions (we were only buying a few things – we are not extreme couponers) and they would only let me purchase one.  Since my friend and I were together, only one of us could get it and the manager said they would not accept the coupon, though it clearly states it's for ANY ONE Icy Hot product..  Is this just another situation where the manager gets to make the rules?

      • Jjrutt

I was able to get it just fine. And able to use my coupon:)  You could always try another store if there is one close to you.

    • Lea

There was also a blinkie for Royal products – $1/5 at Publix a while back, making Royal FREE.

    • Joanna

ok pple the race for ritz crackerfuls is ridiculous.. ITS A TWO DOLLAR BOX OF CRACKERS..i mean really.. the rest of the week they are still on a great deal with the one dollar and the dollar fifty coupons..my goodness.. you say free every one goes crazy… people going to several different stores .. how much gas did you spend to make it worth saving an extra dollar or so..be realistic

      • Kerry

Too funny! What cracks me up even more is now free isn't good enough. Everyone wants to make a $5.00 profit off the Applied Nutrition Calcium…maybe supplements are needed to offset the stockpiles of free nturitionally challenged processed foods. ie:Ritz Crackerfuls.

    • Tjhnson

has anyone had a problem with the Applied Nutrition coupon in the June coupon book?  I tried to use it on the Calcium that's getting $10RR and it wouldn't scan the coupon.  The girl at the register said “oh, it's not the one in the picture”- but the wording just says $5off Applied nutrition supplements, it doesn't specify.  She asked a manager, but all he did was try and scan it and said since it didn't scan it wasn't the right coupon for that product.  That really irritates me, scanning problems happen, but if you put out a coupon, the manager should be able to read it and credit it accordingly.  I will say, though, most of my other Walreens experiences have been very good.

      • Guest

It seems they programmed that coupon to work on the pictured items but forgot to add more specific wording to make it clear.

        • BoxerMom

They couldnt possibly fit all of them that apply on the coupon but if you look around at the other applied nutrition vitamins in the aisle, the ones that the coupon works for have tags that were sent down from corporate. I know you have all seen the comments here that the coupon isnt working are you just going in at this point hoping you'll get lucky and they will deduct the $5 for the coupon?

          • Gofast67

            it worked for me!!!!

          • Anonymous

Not everyone has read all the comments here when they post – sometimes they are just trying to get information or give information.  Reading all the comments can get tricky when there are many pages of them!  I wasn’t able to get to Walgreens until Saturday and was very surprised the coupon didn’t work on the calcium.  Walgreens really needed to do a better job with the coupon wording.  In no other situation that I can think of is consumer supposed to expect the coupon to be more restrictive than its wording – for example, a “$2 off Gillette Deodorant” coupon that doesn’t have any other listed limitations should be good off of any size or type of deodorant, not just a few select ones.

I had fun today! Even on just a quick trip!

Purchased 5 boxes of jello at 5/$1.00 (with coupon in ad) and 5 packages of command hooks (3.49 or 3.59 each depending on style), and one of the dollar deal tape measures for 2.00 (Yes… that was an impusle buy, shame on me.)

After 5 .50 coupons on the command hooks and using $16.00 in register rewards from last week. I paid 4.04 out of pocket including tax! Then I got a $4.00 RR and I still have a $1.50 RR from last week!

Love a good deal. I use those command hooks for EVERYTHING in my classroom. So nice to get some for free.

    • AnnieT

I'd have to say that the past few weeks at Walgreens have been frustrating.  Although the employees and managers have been nice and helpful it doesn't solve the issue that many items are not on the shelf either because they have been sold out or because of the ever occurring situation of not actually having product on the shelf due to a “supplier issue”.  That being said, I went by a local Walgreens yesterday to try and get the brownie mix that was $5/5 a couple of weeks ago that I had a raincheck for.  Of course they still didn't have it in stock, nor the Dole Crispers they had advertised.  The browning coupon was expiring that day.  I left frustrated.

I had to go by Walmart to return an item.  While at the customer service desk I expressed my frustration with Walgreens and told them that I had rainchecks from WG's for items on sale a couple of weeks prior and coupons about to expire.  The manager said no problem, “we try to take care of our customers”.

Long story short….I was able to get my aluminum foil adjusted to $1.99 (w/ $1 off coupon), a couple boxes of brownies (price adjusted from about $1.60 to $1.00) and a few fruit crisper adjusted to $1.00 (w/ .75 c coupons = .25 c each).

Until I have better luck with Walgreens sale items being in supply,  I will primarily focus on the RR items at WG's and do more of my price matching, etc. for food items at Walmart….that is if they continue to be so easy to work with on price adjustments, matching and coupons!

      • Guest

Walmart's policy specifically says that they price-match competitors ads, so you shouldn't have any issue. The only thing is that they won't match a bogo sale unless the ad actually states the *price* of the bogo items.

    • PEZZSHIVERS

I had my first big problem with Walgreens today.. I was trying to get the applied nutrition and use the $5 off coupon and it didn't scan the store manager told me. That I could not pay less than the value of the register reward(meaning I couldn't pay 5 and then get 10 in RR) he said it states it in the policy.. I told him he was wrong.. and the he said it was because it was not the item pictured even though it says on any applied nutrition .. so to prove him wrong I went and got the applied nutrition things that were not pictured and made him scan then to show him that they would work and sure enough the coupon worked on them.. so that proved him wrong on that.. so theni said okay well then here is a 1 off coupon. ( the one from the applied nutrition box from a previous purchase) and he said no I can not use it because that will make it 9 and give you 10 back.. and I said I know that is the point.. he said it would not print the rewards and I said yes it will and I said try and so he got half way through and then stopped and was like sorry I don't have to prove myself I know I am rhythm.. I said whatever.. n then he went on to tell me some crazy nonsense about other stuff.. I was just like okay I will call corperate and he said you better notthe will not listen to you! Aha whatever its the first problem I've had in a couple years doing this. Please tell me talks opinion s!

      • Mel Jolley

I know that this is frustrating to you and I can only imagine how irritated that you were…but it is kind of funny. The reasoning that he is using is just insane. Some people who dont know the exact rules hate to be proven wrong to the point that they would put their job on the line. He was rude and let his pride get in the way….but at the end of the day, he knows you were right. People get so confused about coupons and the store policies, the truth is that most couponers know the policy EXTREMELY well, we learn them to avoid situations like this…….Im sorry about your experience, try again if you can.

      • couponmama

Most of the posts I've seen show this deal isn't working for people…apparently Wags realized the mistake of having a Q plus RR & blocked it in the computer. But the other stuff he said was way off base… I've had that experience a number of times. Some cashiers/managers are so helpful, really listen & see what you're talking about, however others…seem to start from the point of view that you're wrong & say whatever they can think of as to why it won't work, just so you'll not push the issue. I think calling corporate is a good idea, but they usually have you resolve the matter thru the store manager- so just be prepared for that. Keep trying!

        • BoxerMom

Actually we didn't block the coupon from working the coupon was never intended to be used on the calcium. The items that the coupon works for have tags on them telling you there;s a $5 coupon in the June book. The deal was posted on here before it was verified in the store. It was a mistake that should be taken off the website. You can't blame Walgreens for a misposting here.

          • Shanna79

Walgreens needs to be a little better about printing specifics on the coupon then. Words like 'SPECIFIC Applied Nutrition products” would be nice. Nowhere on that coupon does it say anything like “not good on certain products” or “for specified products only” so how is anyone without a register supposed to know this?
We can certainly blame Walgreens for failing to properly outline what items the coupon is good for. Especially since many of us put deals together by ourselves and don't just follow this website like a robot. We can't read minds, you know?

            • Shanna79

Sorry, I'm already annoyed with Walgreens today and feeling a little snippy. My remark wasn't meant to be taken personally. I just wish they'd be a little better about things like that instead of expecting customers to just know these things. Nobody could know upon seeing that coupon that it would only be good on marked products.

            • Squirrellyec

I had a similar situation.  Even the cashier couldn't figure out which coupon from the monthly coupon booklet was supposed to be applied.  She just scanned the coupons until it accepted one.

          • Gofast67

it worked for me.I have picked up 3 of the products already and my parents use the product.

    • Mindirt

My wags ad did not show the “in ad” coupon for the buy 3 12 packs of coke get 1 diet free. There was no sign at my wags and the employees did not know anything about it. Could it be a regional offer?

      • Jjrutt

That was just a Sunday, Monday offer wasn't it?

    • Kim

Can someone please help me? Sorry if this is a dumb question…I'm not too familiar with Walgreens (usually CVS), anyways…if I get the B1G1 Free Right Guard bodywash can I still use a B1G1 free Right Guard bodywash coupon? I was initially thinking yes, then I saw what their coupon policy says about the net price going below zero: When items are featured in a Buy One, Get One Free promotion, up to two coupons can be used against the items being purchased, as long as the net price does not go below zero for the items being purchased.
If I used the B1G1 coupon, it would come out to free (+tax). Can I do that here? Thanks:)

      • tina

yes you can i just got back from doing it

    • Gmraoneal

I got the Nabisco Ritz Crackerfuls  but I did not get an up reward now what?

      • couponmama

The Crackerfuls had a RR only on Sunday & Monday…part of their two-day sale. So I imagine they aren't printing any RRs today…

    • mimi

is the $2 RR a regional thing?  I cannot find it in the sales flyer.

    • Princess

I have a question in reference to Kim's question. if the ad at Walgreens is B1G1 Free Right Guard bodywash why would you use the coupon for B1G1 free bodywash isn't it just wasting the coupon….So confused so can someone please the benefit to this…

      • couponmama

If the sale is B1G1, then the B1G1 Q makes them free (except for tax). The sale makes one free, the Q makes the other one free…hth

        • Lorri

For the life of me, I don't understand that.  If the sale is BUY 1g1 and the q is BUY 1g1, how do you get both for free?  Technically, you didn't BUY anything.  Seems like if you used a B1G1 q with a B1G1 sale, it should work out to be B1G2.  Oh well, I'll just accept it as-is and get 2 free! :)

          • Bamasaver

Think of it this way…you go into the store & pick up two bottles of body wash.  Because the store is offering the item @ B1G1, the store is “paying” for one of them.  When you use a manufacturer's B1G1 coupon along with that store promotion, you are technically buying the second one but the manufacturer is paying for it instead of you.  Does that make sense?

    • Ardnasfu82

My Walgreens in Knightdale NC had the 12 packs of Silly Bands for sale 6/$1! These are good as your filler items, and make great goody bag treats!

    • Coupon Tonia

I am a newbie to couponing!  I just did my first purchase with RR at Walgreens.  I have one question though.  I made a purchase and received $5 RR.  I then used that to pay for my next purchase that totaled $5.40.  When the cashier scanned the RR the register said the total was too low to accept it???  Why is that?  I added a pack of M&M's and then it accepted the RR because my total was $6.31.  Could I have done something different? Thanks so much!

      • Jjrutt

Probably because you had tax included in that 5.40  The RR will not pay for tax. and maybe the bag of m & m's put you ver the tax amount.

      • Liz

The RR only comes off of your PRE tax total.  So, your total was under $5 before tax which is why it beeped.  Don't ever include tax….the government has to get their full share (ugh).

    • Shanna79

I went to two different Walgreens today with a long list and they didn't have ANY of the items I wanted. NOT ONE! I am about done with Walgreens. They don't do rainchecks for items with register rewards, which is just ridiculous, and I am sick of going back multiple times only to leave disappointed. At least CVS will give you a raincheck for items with ECB's when they fail to have an item in stock.

      • Scipolla

I'm with you Shanna. I did not know they would not honor the RRs until this weekend. That's so dumb. It's part of the deal. I bet the poior cashiers can't wait for some solution, too! Anyway, we still have CVS.

    • Marianne

Help settle a debate. Can a Rite Aid “Video Values” coupon which clearly has “manufacturers coupon” listed on it be used at Wallgreens? Or is it considered a store (competitor) coupon? …. Thanks in advance.

      • cs

its considered a store coupon because it starts with R something instead of the regular 9

    • Grooms53

Well, I have now joined the ranks of all the Walgreen's haters!  I've been lucky until yesterday.  I had a long list and lots of options.  Shelves were bare for the RR items, which is not the norm for EVERYTHING to be gone.  I got to the register with my B1G1 deodorant and went to get my B1G1 c/o and saw the calcium on my list that I had overlooked.  Started to tell her I was going to check on that and was told no used to–All Gone.  And from now on these RR items would not be put on the shelves—they will get them for you from the back.  One deal.  She did go and get the BC powders for me, but I could not have the Goody's also.  She blamed it on the super couponing tv show!

Think I'll call corp and tell them how I feel about that, and that I may switch all 10 of my perscriptions to their competition!  This is the one in N. Chas. on Remount Rd. so watch out!  I was so irritated that I forgot to get gas, but made it home on anger fumes!  Thanks for letting me vent!

      • Kerry

Here in central SC it is the norm for everything to be gone…by Sunday morning. I'd be thrilled if all Walgreens stores decide to keep all RR deals in the back in order to limit it to one per person. One is better than none for me. If you are still irked by the incident, you should write corporate. I have been writing non-stop letting them know I'd transfer all my families prescriptions unless they found a way to limit deals…. so they are listening!

        • Raynesmw

I have suggested to Corp. that they issue a card to help limit items. (like CVS)

          • Kerry

Awesome! Thank you…I hope they listen :)

        • Liz

I heard from a Wags employee that there are things in the works for a Walgreens card within the next year.  I would welcome it!!!

          • Kerry

Me Too!! Actually I might frame it…or sleep with it under my pillow. Super excited!

          • Christie13

I was visiting family in WA state last week and looked at the Walgreens ad from my parents' paper, and in their ad it clearly showed a card system. Not sure how long its been going on over there but I bet we will see it here pretty soon.

      • Icegirl5899

I'm a customer at the Remount Rd store and I don't have anything but good things to say about it, the employees are super nice and helpful and I know the store tries it's best to have enough stock for everyone.  I think the reason they run out of things is that more and more people are realizing how much they can save on Walgreens awesome deals  and I think it's just a matter of time for them to adjust their ordering system so there will be enough for everyone. I would not like them to go to a card system like CVS as I like to go on Saturdays and they usually let you buy more than one then as it's the last day of the sale.

    • Couponqueen1967

I have to comment that yesterday I went to Walgreens near Gainesville High on 13th St. in Gainesville, FL and had a very positive experience.  Yes, a few things were completely gone, and according to the manager who helped me, it was because of a few people that came in and wiped them out.  They had just received another shipment of sugar and he went in the back, cut open the boxes, and pulled me out two bags.  Both he and the saleswoman in the beauty dept. (where I checked out) were extremely friendly and helpful. The cashier was actually helping me save more money with my coupons.  I spend $15.72 and saved $46.38. This hasn't been my experience at all Walgreens, but I sure appreciated the customer service that I received yesterday.

      • Gofast67

yes they seem to be pretty helpful at that store.

      • Gofast67

hello couponqueen1967.Thats a good year same as when I was born.Since we are in the same area I thought I would ask if you have any Kellog's coupons extra.I am out and wanted to get the cereal products.I have printed some but not for the frosted mini's i want.If we could e mail or text that would be awesome..

    • Staciemac623

At the beauty counter in my Walgreens, I found a coupon booklet “Summer Beauty Guide.”  It had a $1 off Banana Boat and $2 off Hawaiian Tropic store coupon that really helped me cash in on the BIGI sale this week!!!

      • NewMommy2

I looked at the beauty counter at my Walgreens but couldnt find that book. Any way you could please tell me the barcode? I think they will take just the code at my store!  Thank you

    • Releford Jennifer

I had sorta a bad experience at Walgreens yesterday, I had gone in to purchase a few deals including the Applied Nutrition Supplement that had the $10 RR and the $5 in store coupon. When they scanned the Q it wouldn't work. Said item not found. :( bummer. At least I got some cheap dish washing liquid and some beautiful shades of Maybelline nail polish for .72 a piece! :) The weird thing about it, is when I tried to use the coupon, even before it was scanned the cashier said I couldn't use it because it was already a free item after the RR and Walgreen's wasn't going to pay me to buy it.  Huh? RR come from the manufacturer right? I told her that and she was like ..ok and then tried it. IDK, a lil disappointing and annoying.

      • Tiffeaddington

I called corporate on this issue and they will not allow you to use the coupon on the item, you can either choose to use the coupon or get the RR. They said if you read the stipulations on the coupon it sasys you cannot combine it with any other offer. and that's from corporate office, so that should be removed from the deals.

        • Nita Royal

Thank you for clarifying and posting this.  I just encountered the same problem, and was very frustrated.  It helps to understand the details.  I stay angry enough with WAGS as it is!

    • Mrscouponmary

Those of you who got the goody and bc powder coupon in the parade paper 2 weeks ago. Take them to Walgreens it says it covers the higher count, but the 16 ct is on sale for 1.50 with the same amount reward bucks back. But they took my coupon and let me us it on the small pack on sale. It took them down to .50 cents each and I made $1. on each pack. Please take note, you will have to purchase each one individually to get it. I did and they paid me $28 dollors for 16 of them. Its good to get one up on the stores that are so strict on us……

      • Kerry

        I'm speechless…AAARRRGHHH!

      • Why would you not only commit coupon fraud, face jail time, but then come here and brag about committing coupon fraud?

What would you do if you were caught? Your sense of entitlement is the icing on the freaking cake. They don't owe you crap and you just stole from them.

        • what?!?you crazy!

since when is overage coupon fraud?

          • Did you even read her post?
She used a coupon for 18 ct BC powder on 6 ct. She CLEARLY knew what she was doing because she states in her post here that the coupon was NOT for what she bought.

THAT is fraud and its punishable with jail time.

            • Bblaxin

Really????? I think people should honestly keep their minds on more important things. Since when does anyone have the right to judge what others do. Their are more important things for us to be concerned with. Don't you all know that when we save on coupons they make up their money elsewhere. and Jail for coupon fraud, wow! I see it now, the headlines read “Woman recives felony charges for fraudulantely using a coupon for an 18ct pack of BC powders on a 6ct pack at her local Walgreens, causing her to not only get the $1.50 pack for free, but she also recieved a store credit to use towards another purchase” And because of this the US government will sentence her to jail time which will be payed for by “We the People”. Get a life and stop worrying about everyone else. Clip coupons, enjoy them and mind your own business. It sounds like some people have too much time on their hands. Sad, sad….

            • It becomes my business and everyone else who uses coupons when we're punished because of people who incorrectly use coupons. If someone commits coupon fraud and then puts it on a PUBLIC forum, it becomes the business of anyone who reads it. You don't put things out there and then tell people they can't comment or talk about it.

            • Mrscouponmary

Sure I understand completely what you are saying. I really didn't know before, but I do now. It will not happen again, I can assure you of that. Illegal is illegal, that's the truth and that's that. I am just saying thanks for what you have brought to my attention.

            • Blink_11

When you put something out there for everyone to see you MAKE it everyone's business.  You might have some arguement if she did it and never posted anything.

          • Ardnasfu82

I don't think she meant overage- I believe she was referring to using a high value coupon that stipulates a large size, then use it on a smaller item. In this case, the coupon was for packages of 16 or more of the BC or Goody's, and the person using the coupon was for a lesser size (like 4 or 6 count)

I only noticed these comments because I, too, thought I might be able to utilize those coupons, but realized I shouldn't based on the quantities indicated on the coupon.

      • JUstine21

That was not a good thing that you did it makes it hard on the rest of us it is a sad day in the coupon world.

      • Mari

don't let the haters of the group spoil your joy.. they KNOW they would be all over a deal if it worked out for them.. THEY just wouldn't post about it.. so enjoy your BC and don't let them rob your joy~

        • No, most wouldn't because we have functioning moral compasses.

        • Kerry

Actually no, I wouldn't “be all over a deal..”. Here's an example: A few weeks back, Jenny posted a Kroger deal for Colgate toothbrushes. Unfortunately, the coupon she “matched' for the deal excluded the toothbrush that was on sale. I had 4 coupons and didn't use them although the register probably would've let me. I did see others at Kroger pulling the scam even after Jenny removed the deal from the website. So, when coupon policies become so strict that nothing is really a “deal” anymore, we all know why.

        • SunshineKris

Having ethics doesn't make you a “hater”- I wouldn't walk into a Wallgreens and steal something, and basically that's what she did. You seem to be OK with that. It's wrong, Period!

      • Kat

That's awful. It's things like that that are going to ruin couponing for the rest of us who enjoy using coupons. Unbelieveable.

      • Kerry

The reason these stores are “so strict on us” is because of the “deal” you posted. Basically, you didn't get one up on them. All you've done is contribute the misperception that all couponers are unethical & greedy. Once Walgreens realizes your scam, or worse yet doesn't get reimbursed for the coupons you fraudulently used, they will impose an even stricter coupon policy. For the 2 people who “liked” Mrscouponmary's post, be sure to let us know if you still agree with her when Walgreens no longer allows multiple coupons/deals, internet coupons, etc. because that day will soon be here. Sad, sad, sad…..

      • Mrscouponmary

Well I have read all your comments of what happened to me at the Walgreens. They are responsible for setting the coupons and the restrictions in their registers. How many times have we gone in and they said it is programmed already and they can only do as the register will let them. I purchased the items fairly and paid for every one. The overage was a bonus, that by the way, are their reward dollars and have to be used in their store. The first one of you high and mighty couponers that want to tell me that at any store they have turned down an overage on their totals, and said that is unfair to this company. That you will give them their money back is a down out liar! I see it done every Wednsday night on the Extreme Couponers show. I don't care what you think of me or anyone else doing this. If you have a problem with overages pick another hobby, and take it up with Extreme Couponers…. I personally will not be loosing any sleep.

        • Mrscouponmary

And just so you know. These was not for me. I try to find deals and us them to help the missions, homeless shelters, any and all places that help the needy. Yes I did get an overage in the store. But I did not steel anything. Shame on you for judging others… I guess its easy to point fingers. I am not a hoarder and up until these times have got so bad that it has made it impossible for us to donate the amount we used to. I have turned to couponing to help out the needy now. I have put food on tables and helped a lot of families and will continue to do this no matter what you say. This has provided 16 people with headache medicine who would have not had anything to take. So those people mean more to me than your hateful comments. By the way I am headed to get some pasta so children can eat tomarrow. If you have a problem with that tell them. I am a helper not a hoarder. But I will pray for you all who have a problem with me and the way I coupon. I hold no judgment or bad thoughts toward anyone. I will do what I can to keep helping. If you are ever in the position that you have to buy you groceries at a food bank or rely on the kindness others. Think it my be my donation allowing you and you family to eat that day…..

          • It doesn't matter if it's for you or not. You broke the law. Donate to  your heart content without breaking the law.

If I broke into your house and stole your things, but donated them, is it now ok?

            No? Oh- ok.

            • Mrscouponmary

Well everyone seems to think of this differently. What I intend to do is
go on line and research the state and federal coupon law policies. If
they make it plain and clear that this is fraud. I have no intention on
breaking laws. I haven't had so much as a ticket before. I will be more
alert to the coupons and the stores restrictions on the matters. I am
sorry to offend so many people. It truly was not my intention. I thought
I was giving helpful information. I give my sincere regret. I will
truly read up on the matter and the coupon laws…

No I don't think breaking the law is okay, but I have only been doing this for a few months. I see there is still much for me to learn. I have a lot of research to do. Thanks for your comments, and please disregard my past comments. I see that I still have a lot to learn about coupons and their laws. I better get started with my research. Its not doing anyone good to try to do good things for others if your not obtaining them honestly. I will have to pray about that, and seek forgiveness. I truly did not realize all this. I am sorry for sounding like such a smarty but, I did not mean to protray my self as a hipocrit. Thanks for your messages…

          • Mrscouponmary

I will keep what you said in mind. I did not see this as coupon fraud and still don't. But I will think about what you have typed. But just for every ones information. Southern Savers posted last week that Walgreens let you use a TIDE COUPON to get MONEY OFF CHARMIN. If you got this you used a coupon for one product to pay for another. Shame Shame…..

            • I am glad you're going to at least consider that what you did was wrong and hopefully you will see that, and stop doin it. This is the reason policies are getting so strict. You can't use an 18 ct coupon on a smaller product. You're causing the store to not be reimbursed, but then the customers have to pay that back with inflation. THEN, the stores start limiting things and it's just not worth it, and heavens forbid you get caught. Would it really be worthwhile to go to jail for $28?

            • connie

That coupon was actually for so much off charmin when you bought tide. That is exactly what the coupon said so there's nothing wrong with that. Now if you used it to get money off angel soft when it said charmin that's wrong.

I had the same coupons you did for the larger count items but when I compared the ad to my coupons I saw the difference and didn't take them with me. What you did was wrong and is fraud. There's no talking circles around it you stole that from the store because they won't get reimbursed for it now. Doesn't matter what you did with the items. You could have cured cancer with them but you still got them from illegal means there's nothing to “think” about.

            • Mrscouponmary

Charmin Basic Bathroom Tissue, 6 big rolls, $2.99 w/in-ad coupon

-$1 off Tide or Gain powder WYB Bounty or Charmin Basic products, PG 5/01

(makes it $1.99)this is what I referred to if you used this tide $1.00 off coupon toward buying the bounty or charming basic it made it 1.99 is what it says. but I have posted that I have now read up on what everyone has talked to me about. Now that is over and I understand what was being said. So I am letting it go.

          • Desmith

You need to get over yourself.  No one cares about your fight for humanity. Which probably isn't the truth anyway.  And furthermore I resent the  fact that you feel the need to pray for others after you have done the things you have done. who would want someone with your attitude praying for them? Maybe you just have too much time on your hands. Maybe you should pray about what you are doing instead of coming across as an arrogant couponer.

          • Mrscouponmary

I have been reading up on what you all have been telling me. I am sorry for rambling on before. I understand what you were trying to point out to me now. Please disregard my rash comments from before and know that in future purchases I will pay attention and do better. I really enjoy couponing and did not realize what I was doing was so wrong. I am headed to Walgreens tomarrow to speak with the manager.

          • walwatcher

Do you know that Walgreens donates to all those things??!!  Also do you know the cashier can get in trouble for accepting coupons for stuff they didnot sell!!

        • Kerry

          let me help you:

Knowingly* Using* A* Coupon* With*A* Specific* Size/Count*Restriction *To *Purchase *A *Lesser *Size/Count*Item = Coupon Fraud.

Here's a quote from the Coupon Information Center:
“Coupon fraud occurs whenever someone intentionally uses a coupon for a product that he/she has NOT purchased or otherwise fails to satisfy the terms and conditions for redemption, when a retailer submits coupons for products they have not sold or that were not properly redeemed by a consumer in connection with a retail purchase; or when coupons are altered/counterfeited. These activities are in violation of Federal, State or local laws.”

        • There is so much wrong with your logic that I don't even know where to start.
          1) This has NOTHING to do with overage. No one cares you got overage, so get off that horse.
          2) it has to do with the fact that you KNOWINGLY used an 18 ct coupon on a smaller pack. You KNEW it wasn't right,  yet you did it.
          3) I see a lot of things on TV. Murder.rape, forgery, arson. Do you also get a free pass on those things?
It doesn't  matter if they allow it OR NOT. You're committing a crime, you know you're committing a crime, and  you're trying to logic your way out of it so you CAN sleep at night. The fact that you can knowingly commit a crime that will in the end, hurt others because the store will change policy, and raise prices to cover your theft, and still sleep at night is disgusting enough in itself without your screwy logic.

        • Kayhold1

If you did nothing wrong, you should have issue with me reporting you to the CIC's fraud department. You need to reported and charged to prevent your coupon fraud from hurting the rest of us. You are easy enough to track and convict – you posted on a public forum (your IP is tracked when you do this) and you admitted here you committed fraud, so it should be easy enough.

      • Kenzbug

I wouldn't be proud of “getting one up on the stores” if I were you.

        • Mrscouponmary

I want to tell everyone who commented on the posts I left about the BC
Powders. I took what you said and went on line. After doing a large
amount of reading on the coupon fraud, and coupon laws. I would like to
apallogize  (sorry my spelling is bad) for so much rambling on. I should
have read up on these before I took on the coupon habit. I do
understand now what you was trying to explain to me. I will be going to
my local Walgreens and letting them know what has happened. I will make a
clear over view of all my coupons from now on and make sure they are
being used properly. If I have come across rude or in a non christian
manner I am truly sorry. It was wrong on my part….

    • NewMommy2

If anyone has the code for the Hawaiian Tropic lotion from the Summer beauty booklet would you please tell me! Thank you

      • lisa

i have got the book but there is no number i guess they have to scan it sorry

    • Jacksoleegirl

I printed a coupon for One-A-Day Vitagummies, and CANNOT remember where the deal was? I've scoured CVS, Rite-Aid and Walgreens, but I can't remember where I saw it… Any help would be appreciated.

went to wags on Monday to get some deals.. magically there were none, wasn't too upset as i figured there wouldn't be any… then go again today to get something my mil needs (try to give wags my non coupon business too) and low and behold the shelves are FULL of the things that were on sale Sunday/Monday.  NOW my frustration is .. they don't get their 'truck' until Thursday.. goes to show that the STORE was hoarding the items in the back.. but hey, don't want my measley $100+ a month in purchases, i will do all my shopping at the CVS right down the street.. the super nice staff there is happy to take my money. and I WAS a loyal defender of WAGS until today!!!!  Sneaky little things…

Maybe it was reciprocal hoarding….Walgreens is smartening up :)

Next time, ask a friendly clerk or manager if there's more stock in back and let them know you were just looking for one. Chat them up and they may be more likely to “find” what you're looking for!

When I asked one clerk about the BOGO BW, she said “all we have is out.” I then asked the manager and he came back with six bottles. Lesson learned — be persistent!

They get automatic shipments throughout the week at my store. Tne m as in shipment is ordered by the store itself. Prob not someone keeping in rhe back, auto shipment prob came in :) or lazy personnel lol

I was really mad about the ritz crackerful deal being a bust.  I went Sunday to 4 different stores and they were all out.  You would think they would keep stuff stocked if they know there wll be a demand for it, but I guess not.  I always have this trouble with Walgreens, one of the reasons I rarely shop there (how can I if there's nothing there???)

      Hello friends,
I am looking for Nutri Grain bar, Rimmel, Sally Hansen, and Simply Orange coupons.  I would love to trade with you!  Monica ursweet7@yahoo.com

Went to Walgreens, found the Summer Beauty book, but you can only get the Hawaiian Tropic lotion w/ SPF 15 or the coupon wont work. And they are BOGO 9.99 but it only took off 7.99 for my free one?? Still only paid 4.83 for 2 lotions

      • CouponMommy

I had a similar issue with the Hawaiian Tropic sunscreen too.  I picked up two at $10.99/e and had the $2 off Wags Q along with 2 $1.00 M $17 an. Q.  When the cashier kept fouling up the transaction (she had to void 2 of them) she finally called over the manager.  He came over, rang up the two bottles and Qs.  But, instead of paying $5.00 I ended up paying $7 + tax.  The $2.00 Wags Q took off PRIOR to the B1G1 thus reducing the cost of each from $10.99 to 8.99.  Then the B1G1 came off but at $8.99.  And then the $1.00 off each bottle came off…sooo..I got the bottles anyways after questioning the manager on the total (whom was very nice but seemed unsure about how to respond and questioned himself).

So, long story short. I lost out on $2.00

        What happened:
        $10.99 + $10.99 = $21.98
        $21.98- $4 wags Q = $17.98
        $17.98 – 8.99 (for B1G1) = $8.99
        $8.99 – $2 Man Qs = $6.99 total

It should have went like this:
        $10.99 + $10.99 = 21.98
        $21.98 – $10.99 (B1G1) = $10.99
        $10.99 – $2 Man Qs = $8.99
        $8.99 – $4 Wags Q – $4.99 total

I am really getting frustrated with WAGS.  No longer going to shop there as my deals NEVER work out and they always seem to be cleaned out of the B1G1 (even though they never let me use a B1G1 Q with a B1G1 sale)… go figure!
        Sorry to ramble! LOL

Went today, bought 2 Hawaiian Tropics, spf 15 and spf 30 @9.99, used 2 $2 MQ and the $2 SQ, paid $2.64.  Mine did the same thing, only took off $7.99 for the bogo, showed the cashier who called the manager and quickly refunded me $2.13.

        • NewMommy2

Yeah I used the $2.00 coupon from the beauty book (which took off $4.00) and 2 $2.00 manf coupons. I will go and hopefully they will give me my $2.00 back

Hi everyone.  I have a question.  Did they change the rules on using B1G1 coupons?  I went to Walgreen's in Lincolnton, N.C. today and I was told that I was creating coupon fraud because I tried to use the B1G1 coup for Off Clip On kit and the $2 off.  This is even in the post to purchase it this way.  I wouldn't purposly do that.  I tried to tell her that the $2 off was on the first one and the other coupon was for the second to be free.  She said Corporate said I couldn't do that and that it was fraud.

      • Liz

same thing happened to me with the almond deal.  i emailed corporate and the store manager called me personally the next day.  he said a lot of the employees are not properly educated about their coupon policies and what i was doing was right.  you have to pick your battles, but it had happened one too many times at my store.  i said, well regardless of what they do or don't know….they have no right to throw around the word “fraud” toward a customer, esp. in front of a line of people.

I just returned from Walgreens and purchased some L'oreal mascara.  I had a manufacturers coupon and a Walgreens coupon from the June Walgreens booklet.  I was not able to use both of them on the one item.  The manager stated that the Walgreens store coupons are like manufacturer coupons and cannot be used with another coupon.  I guess there is no more coupon stacking…at least not at my Walgreens.

      • Tiff715

did you have a filler, because I never have a problem stacking?

      • Liz

wow that is not true.  you should contact corporate.

    • Jlayne27

Very disappointing trip to Walgreens today…was going to get the triple calcium pills and use the $5 off in the June booklet but the register would not let me use the coupon, so I had the icy hot and the goody powder also and I was going to purchase my stuff anyway but when the cashier rang everything up it was $20 and it was supposed to be  around $12.50 so I just told her to forget it!

I want to tell everyone who commented on the posts I left about the BC Powders. I took what you said and went on line. After doing a large amount of reading on the coupon fraud, and coupon laws. I would like to apallogize  (sorry my spelling is bad) for so much rambling on. I should have read up on these before I took on the coupon habit. I do understand now what you was trying to explain to me. I will be going to my local Walgreens and letting them know what has happened. I will make a clear over view of all my coupons from now on and make sure they are being used properly. If I have come across rude or in a non christian manner I am truly sorry. It was wrong on my part….

      • Tiff715

be careful, because you could be getting someone fired in the process that just wasnt paying attention. Just take it as lesson learned

    • PaperClip

Was able to print the $5 off Applied Nutrtion supplements June Walgreens coupon booklet directly from the Walgreens site. FYI

    • shopnow

Has anyone contacted Walgreens about the $5 Applied Nutrition coupon beeping?  If so what was the response.  They are not going through at my Walgreens.

    • LeighAnn

I am new to this, with Wal-Greens what is RR,do you get cash back or coupons back or what?

      • KarenJ.

It stands for Register Rewards which you get when you check out.  Look for the Walgreens getting started guide on their tab.  That should explain alot.  Happy couponing!  :)

Well, I had sworn off Wags……then tried again when there were a bunch of great deals, and had a great experience….so my love affair with Wags began again.  Then I went today.  I hate going on Saturday because all the sale price tags have already been removed, but it's usually the only day I can get there without a bunch of little ones.  Anyway…..it was very disappointing.  I was worried things wouldn't ring up correctly (since the tags were down), and I was right on several things.  The Listerine rang up for $5.29, and I hadn't caught it in a previous transaction, so….manager took care of it after I was all done (it was in the ad).  The Scott paper towels rang for $5.00.  Jenny's list said they were $3.99, but it was not posted on the shelf or in the ad for $3.99, so they wouldn't adjust it (understandably).  The Off Clip-Ons rang for $8.99, but were listed for $7.99 on Jenny's list – again, it wasn't on the shelf or in the ad, so they would not adjust the price.  The Reynold's foil rang for $2.79 instead of $1.99.  Why the difference??  I know Kroger is different sometimes, but I have never had Walgreens prices be different.  So what could have been an excellent trip (except they had no Ritz, no Applied calcium, only two foil, no Ecotrin, etc.).  I saved about 50% – not very thrilling, but better than a sharp stick in the eye.
