    • Afexinate

FYI:   According to all 3 Walgreens I have in my town(s), You can NOT use a RR on the same item on a separate transaction. ie… if you buy the Oral B Indictor Toothbrush and get the $1 RR, you can't use it in your 2nd transaction for another Oral B Toothbrush, (see scenarios above).

      • CouponFairy

You can use it, but you won't get another Register Reward in return.

      • RaquelFL

U could use it but u wont get another RR. Our walgreens, the girls help u out. They even keep coupons under the register in case u need them. I have gone with an idea and they have showed me a better way so I can get more RR. Example: I got 4 dove men wash. That was a total of $15. Used 2 of the b1g1 free dove. I paid $8.55 n then got my $5RR. So I did 2 transactions got back $10RR and paid only $7.10 for 8 bottles. A little less then a dollar per bottle.

        • Queensusan1111

Our walgreens makes you spend the amount before coupons! Boo!

      • Liz

        coupon fairy is right.

    • CouponFairy

It reallys seems like the last three weeks at Walgreen's has been terrible!  Like they are forcing us to use the last of our Register Rewards.

      • Publix Chick

        I know, it really stinks…
Love your screen name btw. =-)

      • Liz

i know right!!!  i just use them on items that have been spitting out full cash back rebates….that way you're literally turning your RR into cash in your pocket that can be used anywhere :)

    • Bamabobbie

She is showing you don't get a RR on the last transaction and she stated in her getting started guide to Wags not to leave Wags with RR's because they expire so quick although I do and shouldn't.  Didn't feel good the other day and had to go spend $8 RR's that were expiring that day.

      • I LOVE leaving the store with RR because my local Harris Teeter accepts them would MUCH rather use them on produce/meat then “male enhancers” LOL

      • Mmr0226

Ya'll know that you can use the register rewards from WAGS at Harris Teeter too, didn't you?  I work for WAGS and they are peculiar about emp. using RR–so I use mine on groceries at Harris Teeter.  I had one the other day for $.99 and it doubled!!

    • Afexinate

I haven't had any problems with them rushing me to use the RR, but you are correct, you will not get another RR on the same item if you use the RR on that item… :)

    • Sziegler

The Walgreen in our town will only let us purchase one “deal” item a day….

      • Hasims

Ours has a limit, too.  But I think it is 4.

    • Hasims

Okay, so on the “buy $20 in Venus products and get $5 RR”, if one of those products was the Venus razor system for 9.99 that you also get a $5 RR on, would you get 2 $5 RR when you checked out?

      • Publix Chick

Not sure. Might be a YMMV.

      • Thatrodfam

It printed 2 out for me a couple of weeks ago when the Gillette items were on sale. You just don't know until you do it!

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

I believe yes. It happened in Gillette deal two weeks ago

    • kari

if I wanted to do the gillette proglide razor deal (get $5 RR WYB it for $9.99) could I use the $4 off coupon and a $2 RR I already have that says, “compliments from P&G” on it and have it still print out the $5RR? I thought that you couldn't use proctor and gamble RR and expect to get another proctor and gamble RR back.. kinda like using 2 manufacturer coupons on 1 product.. Make sense?

      • BLG

You won't get another rr if you use the P&G rr…hope this helps

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

This is incorrect. You can use PG $2 RR to get PG $5 RR as long as the RR amounts are different. Let us know if it does not work. In my experience, I had no problem getting RRs by using the same manuf RRs as long as I used different value RRs. Sometimes, there is a lot of misinformation on these boards. I also was careful not to use same manf RR until I accidentally used Colgate RRs of different amount and received the new offer RR. Same was true for PG RRs.

    • Caseyr1417

the $2 off printable visine coupon is only for CVS. too bad i started keeping my coupon books the week after that coupon came out :(

    • Sha08

If I purchase 3 Pro Health for Me toothpastes, will they give me $9 in RRs?

      • Publix Chick

If you buy them in separate transactions, yes. =-)

    • BoxerMom

If you purchase the $.99 bag of chips at the front register (their suggestive sale item of the month) it prints out a $1 on the bigger bag pf lays chips making them only $.99 to purchase. if you want to get more then one coupon buy a bag as a filler item in each transaction because it only prints one coupon per transaction  no matter how many small bags you purchase :)

      • Zee

Also This week $1 off of Suave or Caress is printing at the registers. Can I use that Catalina and still get the RR?

    • Shelly

I wonder how many people are gonna clear the shelves buying the Extenz to get the RR??  LOL!!!  Might be the only item that stays fully stocked!  I'm sure my husband would raise an eyebrow or two bringing that purchase home!  LOL!!!

      • BoxerMom

I know its crazy how they decided to make that a RR item for the week lol, i was wondering whod be the first to post about it.

        • momhamby

So funny i was thinking the same thing! LOL!!

        • Shelly

Yeah and CVS has their KY as a deal too, so everyone should be a-ok in that dept. this week!!!  LOL!!

          • Qponfamily

At least KY can be used for other purposes.  My son is on a heart monitor and we use it to help the leads properly working.  Who would have thought!!!

      • wendyc33

Haha I saw that. I would be interested to know how that works. Lol just curious. Also wanted to say I found 2.00/1 peelies on the duracell batteries at my publix. That would make the deal better.

        • Sweetcrystalblue

i own and adult video store and I do not sell much of it at all!  However, I will use my rr to purchase it!  :)

    • Zee

Is anyone else having a problem with coupons.com today. It is taking forever for the coupons to get sent to my printer. I closed it out once, I hope it still allows to print twice :(

    • Zee

Is anyone else having a problem with coupons.com today. It is taking forever for the coupons to get sent to my printer. I closed it out once, I hope it still allows to print twice :(

    • Gacouponguy

OMG!!  No Extenz on the Scenarios?  It's FREE!! Could at least donate it.

    • Heather Edwards

Does Walgreen's accept expired RR? I have some how let some of them expire this week :(

      • Sara

        No.

      • Ladybugpam

In a manner of speaking, yes, they do!  Let the manager know ahead of time that you accidentally let them expire.  Ask if you can try to use them, if the register will take them without a beep.  It will take the expired RR just fine, I know b/c I tried it, but the manager ok'd it first.

    • nurseteri

I was able to find Iams Dog Food 8lb. bags on the clearance isle for 3.29.  There is a rebate on the Iams website for a rebate.  The 4lb bags were also on sale but more expensive!

      • Qponfamily

Iams rebate expired on 6/30/11 and is only good for a smaller bag

    • Boy_lucas3001

i have a question…last week i purchased the fusion razor and some other items and got my total down to $3 and some change..when the receipt printed the machine ran out of paper and it took two associates to figure out how to get it working again…but then my reward didnt print out and the manager had to come over…i figured it was just a mechanical error since the machine had stopped halfway through printing but he informed me that the transaction total, after coupons i imagine, must be more than the reward or it wont print…id never ran across this so just smiled and nodded while he went ahead and printed my reward for me, all the while thinking id been right about the malfunction to begin with, but when i got home and pulled up walgreens official coupon policy under the redeeming rewards section it states “The RR coupon value cannot exceed the total purchase amount”…has anyone else ran across this?

      • Boy_lucas3001

never mind…typing all that out must have activated my brain because i was reading that part of the policy all wrong…lesson learned: try not to get the manager involved it only confuses everything

      • Victoria

Yes Walgreens will NOT let you get the RR if you use coupons — your total OOP has to match what they advertise for in order to get the RR

        • Ladybugpam

wrong.  If you use coupons and your RR doesn't print, it is a glitch in the computer's system, you did right and you are entitled to your RR.  The only exception to this rule is if one of your “coupons” that you used to pay with is a RR from the same manufacturer that you are expecting more RR from.  Ex:  do not pay w/ a RR from Proctor and Gamble for an item that is supposed to print RR if it is a Proctor and Gamble product.
Please do not spread misinformation, especially if you haven't even read Jenny's guide which already explains this.  If you were mislead to believe that by some misinformed Wags employee-I feel your pain, for many of them are not hip to their very own coupon policy!  Note:  it often says right on their store flyer to use coupons in the Sunday paper on RR deals.

          • Mysterious_Mentalist

Also, I must make it clear that you can actually use the same manufactuere RR s to get their RR AS LONG AS the amount/offer/deal is different. For example PG $5 RR from Proglide will work fine to get $10 PG RR for buying $25 of their products etc. in a different deal. In the same manner, $2 from a Colgate deal one week worked just fine to generate a Colgate $4 RR in a different week offer

        • Sorry that is not correct Victoria- what the policy means is that if you are trying to use a RR to pay for something the purchase must be more then the RR you are trying to use.  I have paid .03 and gotten $5 RR before.

        • ddann

You can use mfr coupons and receive an RR, BUT sometimes if the sale states that you must purchase a certain dollar amount before receiving the RR, that's when it gets tricky and there is tons of fine print involved. You never can tell. Especially when it has to be a certain brand and with the AARP card.

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

The quote you submitted refers to the “payable” amount at the end of a transaction so that RR can scan. For example, if your subtotal, even after coupons, is $1.97 and you try to use $2 RR, then RR wont work because your payable amount is 3 cents short; and they do not adjust the RR value down to $1.97. That is why you would need a filler item to bring the “payable” total to $2 or higher in order to be able to use up $2 RR EVENLY or completely.  Therefore, the above is being misintreprated greatly.

RR should print as long as you scan the respective item regardless of how you pay… cash/credit/ or coupons. It does NOT have anything to do with coupons use or how much cash you are putting in. I am getting suspicious about such employees wether they are trying to make unsuspecting customers buy and spend more or they are really idiots and dont know how it works when they actually conduct transactions all day long.

    • Diney47

Can you use a coupon with trargets logo on it at walgreens? I have several for $.50 off puffs and would be great if i could pair them with this weeks puffs RR

      • ddann

sometimes you can if it is a manufacturer's coupon and not a store coupon.
manufacturer's coupons have the two barcodes with the longer numbers, usually and store coupons only have one barcode with one set of numbers.  this is most of the time.

    • Amberj

There's a better deal on bandaids at Walmart.. as long as you don't mind the Nexcare Brand.

There are two kinds for $1.00 a box on the shelves, it's  a roll back price. There is also a $1.00 off any one Nexcare Product coupon floating around on the internet. I think I might have found it here… not sure though. (I have it saved to my computer and I print it out whenever I'm going to Wal-Mart.) I'm a teacher and we go thorugh a lot of bandaids in my classroom!

It makes them free except for tax.

      • Jillsjunk135

Amberj, you’re right about the Nexcare coupon. It was listed on the Wal-mart listing several weeks ago. It is a PDF and is good until 12/31/11, so you can save it to your computer and print it often.

I am also a teacher, so I have done the same thing. Band-aids cure a multitude of hurts with kindergarteners! :)

    • lisa

does anyone know ho wto get lindsy olive to print it says printable and i thonk they are on sale for adollar?

    • Mere0983

No even if it is a manufacturer coupon, if it has another store name on it they will not honor it. At least my local Walgreen's does not.

    • Couponj

The tostitos coupon in my 5/22 SS is a Store coupon which cannot be combined with the in ad coupon.

      • Daisy88646

i was able to use it.  I thought you can use a store coupon and an in-ad coupon per item.

      • helpful

Walgreens coupon policy states that you can use “one manufacture coupon and any walgreen couponS per item”  so you can use multiple wags store coupons on an item as long as none of the coupons prohibit it

    • Bee

Looks like I can take a break from Walgreen's this week. Used up all my RR's last week on Dove soap. It's a good time to take a break…holiday weekend and lots more people on the road for that plus getting their SSI and other government benefits.

    • Kjp

In my walgreens the two day sale water will be 1.99! thats a great deal!

    • ddann

the link says these coupons are no longer available
Werther’s, Riesen or Toffifay, 2.75-5.5 oz, Lifesavers, Starburst Gummibursts or Skittles, 6-7.2 oz, B1G1 at $2.29
-.50/2 Skittles or Starburst pk PRINTABLE or PRINTABLE
      (makes it $1.79 for both)

    • Awesomebc

I can't print the Purex coupon.  I am using an i-Mac and it doesn't like my printer settings.  I checked them and don't see the problem???  Any ideas?

      • Waltershell53

“If you are talking about the purex crystals I just printed one.

        • Sara Jane

Try to use a different web browser like fire fox, my mac wont print bricks coupons unless i use fire fox.  Hope that helps.

          • LeAnn

I have never been able to print bricks coupons from my iMac either. I am using Safari. I'm going to try Firefox now and see if that works, thanks!

    • Lcstone19

Walgreen's will scan your AARP membership card and coupons are printed. i received a coupon today for $ off my next purchase.

    • Sthompson21

I am a newbie to this method of couponing. I love it but am a bit confused.  On So. Savers it states that there was a RR at walgreens for coppertone sun care for $4 and that it was 9.99.  With the RR and coupon it would be 4.99.  Went to my walgreens locally and the price was $10.99 BIGI 50% off (I assumed it was just a regional price difference, but also they weren't offering RR on this and many other items. How can I avoid this?  Looked on my local ad and dont' see these RR listed either.

      • Bridgetrainey

It is Coppertone Sun Care and is located on page 5 of my sales papere

    • gina

On the common sense with money website it is posted that you can get free osteo byflex free this week.  The sale is BOGO and it says to use the $5/1 osteo byflex Q  RP 6/12 and the $5/1 osteo byflex in the answers coupons booklet  ( it takes $5 off each one).  I am trying to figure out how its free.

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

They are for $19.99 each. The answer booklet has wags store coupons so you can combine them with manuf ones.

So you buy and scan two
        Use
        2) $5 manuf Qs for a total -10
Scan store Q from the answer booklet-takes off $5 each for a total of -10
the second item is store sale free

So you end up using $20 wirth coupon towards $19.99 renedering both items free

The “answer” is a series of dfferemt flyers and may be found where they belong on shelves such as “Vitamin” series in vitamin aisle, diabeties series near dibetes product and on….. not all stores have all the series.

If someone has the flyer and can post the coupon code for BioFlex, it would be great!

    • Tracy Quinn

I’m new to the couponing world and have a question… On the $5 RR for Gillette Fusion ProGlide. I have 3 each of the $4 coupons.  Can I purchase all 3 in one transaction or do I have to do 3 separate transactions to get the $5 RR?

      • Uknowyask

you have to purchase them in separate transactions.Otherwise you will only get ONE $5 RR for THREE items purchased.

        • TheSilverMonkey69

You also have to remember not to your your $5RR on any purchase of another Gillette Fusion ProGlide or you don't get your next $5 RR.

    • Ms SUSAN

THE WEST COLUMBIA SOUTH CAROLINA WALGREENS HAS REMODELED ITS STORE LAST WEEK AND IS GOING TO HAVE A WHOLE LOT OF CLEARANCE ITEMS MONDAY

    • So, I guess I am not the only person in the world who is absolutely in love with the honey roasted Blue Diamond almonds. They were on BOGO at Walgreens during the cycle that ends  on 7/2. I went to two stores. They had plenty of the other flavors in stock EXCEPT the honey roasted ones. They were sold out. These go BOGO at Publix occasionally, but they don't carry honey roasted. It's the same at Winn-Dixie. Boo!

      • Jaxmomjmc

PUblix will special order it for you

    • guest

I am new to couponing and I have not really tried to coupon at Walgreens yet.  What is a filler item and when would I need to buy one?

      • Angelascoupons1

Fillers help you use register rewards and coupons at the same time. You can only use one manuf. coupon per item, and technically a register reward is a manuf. coupon. So you need to purchase the least expensive filler item possible so that your RR has something to attach to. Think about purchasing one razor and using a $3 off coupon. Say you have a $2 RR you'd also like to use. To do so, you'll need to add a small piece of candy (or my wags has silly bands for just $.10 a pack) to the purchase…so now you are buying a razor and piece of candy and using a coupon and RR. Hope this makes sense!

        • guest

          thanks so much!

      • C~~

If you scroll to the very top of this page , you will see 'Walgreens Links'. Jenny posted a 'Walgreens Getting Started Guide', this was very helpfu to me.  Also, read the 'Advanced Tips'.  There is a lot of good information on how to use filler items, how to look for their store coupons and also how to present the coupons at checkout.  Hope this helps.

    • Bethany_bates12

Do you have to have a walgreens card to get the tooth paste and tooth brushes at the above listed price

      • mmr0226

        Walgreens doesn't have a card….(I work there)

      • Heather

there isnt a walgreens card. sale price is for anyone

      • There is no Walgreens card. However, some of the prices require the store coupons that are in the weekly ad. If you don't get the ad at home, you can just pick one up at the store. Most RR deals don't require the store coupons though.

      • Jcgarner

Wal-Greens doesn't have any rewards card, they work off a register rewards system.  All that means is when you buy any item(s) that say you receive RR, you'll get a catalina (coupon printed at register) to use on your next purchase for that amount.

    • gina

Can you use 2 MQs on a BOGO off deal at WAGS?

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

        yes

        • Judy

I just made my first Walgreens trip ever yesterday and my Walgreens had Blue Diamond almonds B1G1 for $3.49 and I had coupons for .60 cents off and the cashier said I could only use 1 coupon because the items rang up 1 at full price and one for 0.00. What's the deal with that? Just wondering?

          • Mysterious_Mentalist

She was wrong. The way to understand is

            a) manuf Qs can be used regardless of store sale/price
            b) in manuf. eyes, you are still buying it although it is ringing up as $0.00
            c) b1g1 free is simply a marketing tactic which is essentially saying each of the 2 items is 50% Off.

Therefore, and that is why retailers allow two Qs to use on their b1g1 sales including WAGS. Though, RA recently changed that to 1 coupon on a true b1g1 store sale.

            • Judy

The register wouldn’t even scan the second coupon. Does the cashier have to override this in some way?

            • Anonymous

Wags regosters are notorious for troubles. They sometimes dont scan even one coupon for an item. Cashiers have a way of manually entering the coupon value if it does not scan.

    • I keep seeing P&G 7/3 next to some of the deals.  I thought there were no inserts this week?  How do I get a P&G for 7/3?

      • Jcgarner

The Proctor and Gamble insert will be found in the newspaper.  Just like Smart Source and Red Plum.  You can go to P&G, register and they have a place you can type in your zip code to find which papers will carry that insert in your area. P&G usually puts only one insert out at the beginning of the month.

      • Amandagj14

        Tampa Tribune had the P&G

      • Anna

There are no smart source or redplum inserts on holiday weeks but the P&G is in the paper the 1st Sun of every month holiday or not, so it was in todays paper.

    • rbroadway13

      SS 6/26 has 4 OFF! product coupons… $1any product, $3/2 any products, $2 off clip-on starter, $1 clip-on refill

    • DorkandShorty04

So I live in Tampa Florida and I am looking at my walgreens ad and I see the Nature valley bars and the fiber one bars but it doesnt say any thing about register rewards…has any one else noticed that or is it just me??

      • DorkandShorty04

I went to the walgreens site itself and I guess I was right the Nature valley bars and the Fiber One bars are both on sale 2/$5 but no register rewards go with it.I am totally bummed :(

        • Alysia

I just went to WG & bought 3 boxes of the Nature Valley bars….got $1 RR.  You don't get the RR unless you buy 3 or more

          • Margoren

            Buy 3 get $1 off
            Buy 4 Get $2 off
            Buy 5 get $3 off.
This is both for Nature Valley and Fiber One but can't combine them. Ex: Buy 2 Nature Valley and 2 Fiber one, you won't get anything. This deal is running in lots of different places.

        • Margoren

It is a national deal, so Walgreen may not say anything about it. You can check all the stores that are running this promotion at the coupon network website. Farm Fresh, Albertson's and probably the rest of the stores from than chain are running a better deal where you get $5.00 off from buying 4 + $2.00 off from this promotion.

    • Miriam

The $5 off Osteo Bi-Flex coupon in the Walgreen's Answers booklet is NOT a Store coupon. In the print, it states that it is a Manufacturer Coupon and has the MFR double bar-code on it as well. It is also only for the 120 Count and not the 30 Count which is the $19.99. SO bummed. I tried this this morning! :(

      • Lili

Thanks for the feedback. I've tried 3 walgreens looking for the booklet and no luck, but anyway it was not worth it

    • Kclark78

Found Chex Mix on sale today at Walgreen's for $1.00, but rang up $0.50 at register!  Two coupons available, printable for $0.50 off 1 = FREE!  Or $0.50/2 from newspaper insert a few weeks ago.

    • Babyjess96

Did anyone do the gillett deal, $5 RR WYB $20 worth? Just wondering what products were eligible. I saw the signs on some items today but didn't know if it counted items that didn't have the signs.

    • Jane Walker

Be careful on the Loreal $10 RR WYB $25 on makeup.  It didn't work for me but the manager was very nice in Corinth, MS and she tried it on another register just to make sure.  No big deal, she just refunded my money because I didn't want it without the RR.

    • Mimmsfam

I can't print the Arm & Hammer laundrey detergent coupons.  The link takes me to the A&H site, but there are no Qs for detergent?  Any help please?

      • Teecee

A&H has their site set up so the coupons are different each time. You might find something there once but not the next time. It says each coupon is only offered to each person twice per year so once you log in, it seems to choose the coupons for you. My husband set up an account at work for them so we can access the coupons more often since we use so much of their cat litter.

Free toothbrushes! Something I need to stock up on! Just purchased 8 and a box of trash bags for $3.82!

    • Brit04

Found a great deal at my local Alabama wags-  Clearance cereal for 1.29 a box!  I had a coupon for 1.00 of 2 boxes of the clearance cereal! Yay! Everyone needs to check out the grocery aisle, there were lots of clearance items!

    • M Reed42071

The Hawaiian Tropic Lotions and Sprays, B1G1 50% off starting at $9.99 is not that good of a deal. My Walgreens price is almost $12.00 a bottle….Walmart is $7.00 a bottle. So I got out cheaper at walmart for that product. Just an FYI for people who want this product.

    • adepps

This will be my first time using coupons so if anyone can help let me know. The ? I have is Walgreens has in the paper a sale on  Old Spice products buy1get1 50% off.I have a coupon for Old spice products. The coupon that I have is buy1get1 free  and can I still us this with that sell because I have no clue of what I'm doing yet.

      • adepps

        Yes I think I finally got it !!!!!!! :)

    • Ana

I thought I saw a DEAL IDEA with the Herbal Essences Hair Care that is on sale for $3 this week at Walgreen's but I can't find it. Also, is there a good deal to work out the B1G1 Free Head& Shoulders, Mach 3, Gillete Deo, and/or Old Spice Deo/Body Wash. There were also coupons this week for the Gilette Mach 3 refills for $3, Proglide REfills $4 off, Venus Refill $2 off, and Gillette Fusion $1 off…. when you buy $20 you get $5RR.

      • Ashley

This morning my Wags had selected Head & Shoulders buy(1) get(1) 50% off. I used the (2)bogo coupons and (2)$1.50 off the purchase of two H&S products. When the bogo was scanned it took the original price of 5.99 off the other one rang up at 2.99 so after my 1.50 off two coupon I only paid .74 each. I hope this isn't to confusing I am not very good with the abbreviations.

        • ANA

          Thanks Ashley!!

      • amber

The only deal I saw with Herbal Ess was its at $3 and there is a $1/1 making it $2.00.

      • gina

There is a $3 off Herbal Essence styler when you buy a Herbal Essence product in the 7/3 PG.  Had 2 of these and bought 1 shampoo, 1 conditioner and got 2 hairsprays free (stylers were also $3.00).  I dont know about any deal ideas though.

    • Lauraflowerscpn

question if i purchase 2x oral B toothbrush from 'Transaction 1' will i get 2$ in RR?

      • amber

If you are wanting to get your RR from transaction 1, you must buy 1 toothbrush at a time in different transactions. I was told a few weeks ago that now each customer is limited to only 3 RR within a day. So if that is the case you would need to do the first transaction 3 seperate transactions to get 3 seperate RR.

    • Ashley

I am new to couponing. I have read a lot of bad comments about couponing at Walgreens. I made several mistakes when putting my coupons together due to the fact that I forgot some of there policies on the RR. The Ast. Manager was so patient with me. He voided my transaction three times and redone it so I could get all my RR. He was so awesome!

    • Amanda

    • Bryce1

I honestly can't find a value whatsoever in shopping at Walgreens. Only one RR will print on the same deal no matter what.  I thought that if I bought one Gillette Proglide Razor ($5 RR) then used that RR to buy another that I would get an additional RR.  It doesn't work that way. If you use your RR to buy another P and G product no RR will print at all. In essence they have completely elimintated my need to go to Walgreens at all. Considering that they are right smack across the street in my area from CVS I think I'll stay over there!

      • Janelleblozy

You can not use a RR on the same product and get another RR from it. You can use it on other products that give out RRs. I use mine at Krogers.

    • Bnbdurham

the walgreens page will not let me create a check list – why?

You are good to go on all… Good luck finding TB and Proglide

    • Mom_Of_Trips

Hi everyone. I am new to couponing but with my fast growing triplets, my husband and I needed to start saving. I have one month of using primarily Publix (very successful so far) and finally feel bold enough to add a drugstore. Can anyone explain the how Wags would do a B1G1 50% off with a B1G1 free coupon like Old Spice? I don't quite understand how the calc would go there, or the order of coupons. I would know at Publix but not Wags…

      • Mom_of _Trips

also… Is Wags the one to start at? It is across the st from my Publix and seems less complicated than CVS and Rite Aid but willing to give any a try to start…

        • Coupongal18

In MY humble opinion (LOL), I prefer CVS….Walgreen's just has a lot of rules attached to couponing – having the same number of coupons for the same number of items, can't use a RR on another like product that you orginally got the RR from, etc. Like I said, too complicated – it's all personal preference anyway – some people LOVE WAGS but I only go there for the FREE stuff or awesome deals that I just can't pass up – otherwise, I'm a CVS fan for life!!!! :)

At CVS, you can use as many ECB's as you want to and don't have to have 5 items if you are using 5 coupons – less need for fillers —

          • Mom_Of_Trips

Thanks for the advice. I think I will definitely  try CVS as my trip was “successfull” but I find the “pseudo” money of the RR (catalina coupons) to be pretty restrictive and challenging… Still going to keep trying all options though.

        • Jillsjunk135

In my opinion, CVS is the least complicated of the drugstores, and WAGS is the most. If you're up to it though, give it a shot. Just remember that you have to have 1 item for each coupon you use, even if you are using a store coupon.  So if you are stacking store coupons and Manuf. coupons, you will sometimes have to purchase a filler item to make it work. In addition, if you are doing a register rewards deal, you can do it more than once in separate transactions, but you can't use the RR for the same item. For example, if there is a $2 RR for buying a toothbrush, and then you try to use that reward to buy that same toothbrush again, it won't give you another reward in a separate transaction.

As for the B1G1 coupon, I'm not sure. I've never done one for a B1G1 50%. If it were a B1G1 free sale, then both items would be free using the coupon. So possibly you would only pay the 50% on one item? Someone correct me if I'm wrong on that please.

          • Couponealge11

most likely they would take the lower amount off. at least thats what they do a rite aid, cvs and publix. ive been told this before on other post

        • Mandyward67

          definately start at CVS!

        • Gatorginger

CVS is much more less complicated than wags so I would start there first

      • Jillsjunk135

Congrats on the triplets, by the way! I am a mom of 14 year old twin girls, and it has been an awesome experience. You're doing great starting on the couponing now. I just started about a year and a half ago, when I realized the large amounts of feminine products I was having to purchase with 3 teenage daughters! :)  Anyway, couponing is awesome…keep it up! You will get the hang of it!!

        • Mom_of_Trips

Thank you for your encouragement and congrats on making it to 14 with multiples  :) What a wild (and expensive) ride this is :)…

          • Jillsjunk135

Yes, but it is well worth the ride! Enjoy your babies! They grow up way too fast!

    • Candice

At the Walgreens I went to, the Lysol wipes were not advertised to be at $2.50. When I priced checked it even rang up their normal $3.49. Where is this advertised? Thanks for any info. We go through a lot of the cleaning wipes and would love to stock up with sale/coupons/RR.

      • Monica Eader

? I would like to know this too?  I tried to do this and the same thing happened to me. Did you find out?

        • danielle

I did the Lysol deal last night and it worked fine.  They are 2/5.  My store had two types one with a purple lid and one with a blue/greeen lid.  The purple ones rang up 2/5 while the others did not so they had to price modify them.  Even after price adjustments and Qs it still printed the RR.  Some stores choose not to put the signs out for the month long RR deals.  I have 3 in my area and one actually posts the deals.  If they do put the signs up they look just like the weekly RR signs except they are white.

      • Mandyward67

I don't know where she gets the monthly deals…but I never pay attention to them because my store does not do this….it may just be a couple of stores…

        • Laura_york

Try looking at the store where the weekly ads are kept, they usually have them there.  However, the later in the mo. you go, the less likely there may not be any.

    • Drk

If you missed the Tylenol Precise at CVS a few weeks back – Walgreens has it for $7.99 and a $3.00 coupon in their July book and with the $5.00 Manu coupon you will get it for free and it will be in stock.  Also, if you still have the printable $2.00 of any Sally Hansen nail color they have Xtreme color 2/ 4.  Use both coupons and get both for free.

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

Where did you get $5 manuf Q? Can someone list websites where we can check coupon database?  Coupon Database with this site freezes the browser

If you will look at the top right of this site; there is a coupon database.  You can even search for what you need.

      • Laura_york

That is correct.  just make sure you use fillers, if you are going to go negative on the oop on each transaction  A filler is something that usuall cost less than $1 (you can even use a coupon on this filler item).

    • Monica Eader

How do you know about the “montly deals”?  I tried to get the lysol wipes (35 ct) with the spend 15.00 and get back 5.00 RR, but the lady said it was not on sale???  Can I print this out and take it to them and they would honor it?!?!?  I really needed to get some wipes, and it was a GREAT deal with my coupons…. can anyone help?

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

She wouldn't know if it is not in the flyer. You will have to run the transaction to see if RR will print and only then you would know. Did you actually run the transaction?  Did you check to see if the price ringing for the wipes was $2.50 or normal price?  Sometimes prices are regional and if you checked and found that the price ringing was the same as on shelf tag, then it is most likely that it will not print RR either.

Price check is a good indicator if RR will print or not

Also, this website is not an official Wags/approved website, so taking a print from here would simply get you dirty look

      • Laura_york

I think she is talking about “monthly deals” being the booklet they give inside the store where the wkly sales papers are.  At least, that is where I get mine.

    • Rachael

I apologize if this has already been asked… Walgreens ran a similar promotion on Gillette products a month or two ago.. It turned out that when you bought $X worth of Gillette products, including a Fusion Razor, you got two RR. One for buying $X worth of product and $5RR for the Razor. Does anyone know if that works this time around?

      • Mandyward67

hmm…I would like  to know if that works too!

      • Susanne

Yes, but they pulled it in the middle of the sale week and it quit giving the RR if you included the razor to reach the dollar amount required.

    • Haley554

Does anyone know if the granola thins are included in the Nature Valley RR deal?

    • Adriene_23

They also have aussie products for $3 and there was a $3 coupon in the PG 7/3

      • Adriene_23

I went to cvs and used the $3 and $1 coupons I had and got them for .98 each as stated in the cvs deals

      • Suzy

The way the coupon state is one Herbal or Aussie Styler (not shampoo or conditioner) when you buy one you get $3 off.

        • Suzy

There was also a compon for any Herbal or Aussie product $1 off a while back.  If you go to SS coupon database you could pull up where that coupon is located.  Then you should be able to use both the $1off and $3.00 of 2 Herbal or Aussie Styler and that should make it. around $1.00 each product.

        • Clipthatcoupon

actually some people just got a 3.00 off coupon. The sale is 3.00 so that is FREE hair care products. I got 5 shampoo's 5 condition. 1 hair spray and 2 gels…. ALL FOR FREE! I just paid sales tax!

    • m.astorga

hi im newin this website and at couponing, i live in ks in a little town the only stores we have here are WALMART, WALGREENS, AND DILLONS. can someone gve me a few tips on buying food and buying diapers for my 2 month old baby. thanks

    • infantrn

Can you use 2 buy 1/ get 1 free coupons to get 2 items free at walgreens? I'm just getting started with this and have 2 razor coupons and 2 head and shoulder coupons.

      • Couponeagle11

you can use one b1g1 and 1 $ off coupon per two items you buy no matter where you shop.

    • Couponstef

Has anyone tried to buy a ProGlide Razor with cartridge refills?  If so, did both $5 RR print out (one for buying razor and one for buying $20 of Gillette)?  I was going to try it in the morning but thought I would check first to see if anyone else did it.  Thanks.  :)

      • Rachael

I planned on trying it when I go (Friday) – if there's any left……. Let me know how it works out for you!

        • Mandyward67

let us know how the  friday trip goes!

      • Mandyward67

let us know….I was thinking of trying it too!

    • Mhauser1983

My plan is to use the $2 off coupon on the 2/2 toothbrush deal.  I have two coupons and can get four toothbrushes (that's the limit).  I plan to use a coupon and buy some of the $3 RR toothpaste.  I will make a second trip and use the $3 off Herbal Essences Aussie coupon (when you buy one product, second is 3).  I will use my 3 RR on one of the hair products and my $3 off coupon on the other.  All for the cost of a tube of toothpaste (with a .75 c off coupon)!

      • Mhauser1983

I meant to say that the second hair product is 3 off.

    • Coupongal1

Can some one please help me out?
I have a P&G RR from last week.  Can't remember what product it was for.
Can I use it on a P&G product this week that gives back a RR or not?  I thought you could not but I was reading a post that said you could so now don't know!
      Thanks

      • Susanne

If you use a RR to purchase another item from the same manufacturer (P & G), it usually does not give you the new RR.  There might be some exceptions, but I would not take the chance.

      • Mandyward67

i thought that it wouldn't print one out….but I used a p&g rr and still got a rr to print. i do know that it wasn't the same item though, they were just both p&g products….so I'm not sure exactly how things work.

    • Amb2dance

Does anyone know the answer to this question?  On a register rewards where you have to purchase so many dollars in products, does that dollar amount have to be before or after any manufacturers coupons?  For instance, the register rewards for Gillete or Venus products, can I purchase $20 before coupons, use my coupons, and then still get the RR?  Thanks!

      • Im not sure if this helps you any but I had a 5 off of 25 coupon and it said total after coupons and promotions. My Walgreens scanned it first then took my coupons.

      • Amie

In my experience, the amount you have to purchase ($20 in this case), is before coupons. I have done these deals several times, and always get the RR. But, I have seen severeal people on this site say that their stores require it to be after coupons. So, unfortunately it looks like it could go either way for you. I live in middle TN, so if you're around here, it should work for you…good luck!

      • Debee2000

yes, it is before manufacturer coupons that apply to your requirement for RR.

    • Debee2000

URGH!  Someone remind me to check my local advertisement. I keep running into stuff not on sale that I use and end up getting there and it isn't on sale locally. :(  It's gonna take me a LONG TIME to use my Walgreens GC I won from their walking program.

    • Ms SUSAN

I work at the West Columbia Walgreens in Columbia S.C., an was wondering why no one is buying the free after rr reward Extenze this week. We have plenty of it. Also we are clearanceing a lot of items this week. We even put  some Diapers, half price.  HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE

      • jessc5

Well, THAT would be an interesting item to donate…..   (LOL!!!)

      • Dharvn

        don't need them … lol.

    • Clineleann

What abt the herbal essence shampoo/cond. For $3

    • Harleymike63

I purchased two items that Jenny has listed under month long RR and I didn't receive a RR on either one.  I called the store and they said that it wasn't in the paper.  I trust Jenny more then the store so does anyone else have this problem and does anyone know where I can get the month long RR specials for the week on the website?  Thanks!

      • danielle

Im not sure what items you purchased but I did the Lysol deal last night and it worked fine.  Every store has the deal, some choose not to put the signs up.  I have 3 stores in my area and some put the signs out and some don't.

    • Amanda

Went in to a recently opened walgreens in new braunfels, tx today, and the gillette fusion pro glide razors were marked down to $4.99. I bought 3 of them, used 3 $2 off coupons, spent $9 and got $15 in register rewards. I used the rr to buy my toilet paper (3 things of cottonelle), and got another rr for $4.50 to use another day. Great day at walgreens!
