Looked at this a couple weeks ago on another site, but still get excited to see it posted here.  I LOVE your site and format.

    • connie

I have 3 local wags to go to, and 2 doesn't carry the Keri lotion and the other only carries the original. I bought 1 yesterday just to see if they were doing the RR deal and it was priced 8.99 but rang up 5.99, I used the $2 printable q and got $5 rr back.

    • joan

Does anyone know if the Keri lotion is “linit one?”

      • joan

        limit

        • blondie1chic2007(Army_Wife)

I bought 2 the other day and the cashier was telling me about the sale on Saturday and said that you could get 2 or 3 as long as you split the order.

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

You would always buy 1 offer per transaction at WAGs. So limit one has no such meanings as in CVS or RA.  Buy 1 per transaction and RR will print

    • Cngaedk

I noticed that you don't have the crayola crayons that are $1 and you get $1 RR.

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

        Which ones? Variety, size?

      • CouponFairy

I had that written down in my notes for next week also…but now I don't see it in the ad anywhere…what page is it on?  I swear I saw this, because I had written it down thinking, hmm free markers this week, free crayons next week!  Now I feel like I'm losing my mind LOL

        • Cngaedk

You can see the crayon deal here.  http://walgreens.shoplocal.com/walgreenssneakpeek/Default.aspx?action=browsepageflash&storeid=2614630&rapid=1239349&pagenumber=1&prvid=Walgreens-110807DDc&promotioncode=Walgreens-110807DDc

      • Dumbdo

Just saw online that it's a regional thing.

    • Ashleymahan70

Has any one seen on other sites where you are supposedly able to use the $2 off Huggies coupon from the Infant Care Booklet and also the $2 off Huggies coupon in the August coupon booklet against the Huggies Wipes that are on sale for $5.99?? Both $2 coupons would be store coupons so you would also be allowed your manufacturers coupon for $.50. Any thoughts on this idea for really cheap wipes??

      • Baileysince1991

I have seen that on another site but I dont have the infant care book so I can not try :(

      • Couponing4myfamily

Each coupon states “Not valid with any other offer.”  I'm thinking too good to be true.  But, ymmv.  ?????

      • Manderson_9

Where can I find the infant care booklet? :(

        • Mysterious_Mentalist

          ebay

        • Zelda

          pharmacy counter….or ask pharmacy personel

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

First of all, store coupons such as in their monthly booklet can be combined with manuf. Q that you find in inserts or from the manuf directly. Although, store coupons might say “manuf. Q” and ” not valid with any other offer”, stores across the board allow them combined. Also Wags coupons work as “price reducer.”

$2 from infant care booklet is technically a store coupon and so is the one in August booklet. Both are coded with store own numbers. You will notice both have last 4 digit code.  Logically speaking, both are “price reducers” and you can only have one price reduction. Thus, I highly doubt both will work together to get $4 off. You may try to scan both and see what happens.

        • Ashleymahan70

          Thank you!

        • Joz1313

Walgreens coupon policy states: •When purchasing a single item, Walgreens accepts one manufacturer
coupon and applicable Walgreens coupon(s) for the purchase of a single
item, unless prohibited by either coupon offer.

It should work because their own policy says applicable Walgreens coupon(s) (plural).

          • Mysterious_Mentalist

This is indeed a good point with the “plural”; makes a good argument. However, as close-minded and not so bright employees are, there may be some who will resist. But, not to give in and demand that they simply follow procedures

      • Mel

I've done this several times with different items in the past, such as visine and cottonelle, and only once have I ever had a problem, but I just went to the store up the road and it went through just fine.  The problem was a “manager” who insisted that I could not use a MQ and get an RR and when the catalina spit out an RR he said he had to confiscate it b/c it just wasn't supposed to happen.  we can just call him “not smart,” anyways, this deal doesn't even produce an RR, so even better!

        • Mysterious_Mentalist

Vigilantes, that is, what I call such employees. They have nothing to worry about what is supposed or not. Registers are already programmed and that is how manuf conduct their marketing. Confiscating RR that was printed for you is a good case to e;evate the issue wth WAGs/catalina and all marketing involved. I would report the manager behavior to corp immediately. The employee is a liability for the corporation.

          • Zelda

when i don”t get a RR on item that is advertised….I do return….go back the next day and get RR….

    • Dianne L

              Thank you.

    • Sarahbeth1210

One site said that you could use both the 2.00 WAGS qpons on the Huggies wipes plus the .50 qpon making them 1.49.  Any thoughts, I had always thought one wags qpon and one manf.

      • Thesmithsofop

My Walgreens will take more than one Walgreens coupon for an item as long as the codes are different and the register takes it.

    • Bobannwilber

Can someone please tell me where I can find the “Get More From Your Pharmacy?

      • Shelly

You get it from Kroger – usually in front of their pharmacy.  Extremely hard to find though.  I have been in 4 stores and none had them and only 1 had even heard of them.  I asked closest store to my home if they could order some.  They said they would try but that was a month ago and still nothing.  Good luck!

    • Couponmom

OOPS..Your Sat only shows 7/13 not 8/13..thought I was on wrong page this morning……thanks for all of your help sving!!!!

    • Amhebb

new to walgreens, where can you get their 'books' with Qs?

      • Sarah

The walgreens coupon books for the month are usually right with the weekly ads when you walk in as for the infant books and pharmacy books I've never been able to find those in my store

        • Shelly

I haven't found the infant books but the August booklet is at the entrance located with the weekly store ads.  The vitamin booklet is usually hanging off a shelf near the vitamins.  They are easily skipped unless you are specifically looking for them.

        • Cheryl

If you can't find the coupon book in the store, go to your Walgreen website for your store and you can print out the store coupons…same ones in the booklet at the store.

        • Zelda

ask the pharmacy people…infant care and pharmacy booklets..they are usually on counter….on the wall…or behind counter….beauty booklets at beauty register

    • valerie

Jenny you are the best! I have come to depend on your site every single Friday for upcoming information. That is the KEY to saving the big money. You help me get organized. My friends and family do not know how I do this coupon thing. Last week I saved an average of 74% and supplied my family with the things they need for free. Valerie in Houston

    • Jnaso1

Does anyone know where I can see the month long RR's besides on this site? Weekly are in the ads but where are the month long ones?  Thanks to anyone that takes the time to answer!!!
Kuddo's to this site! Jenny and helpers thanks!

    • Mandyward67

Just to clarify…an in-ad coupon does NOT count towards your total coupon total?

      • Sarah

Right.  The register basically reads it as a “sale price” rather than coupon.

    • Amy

I looked at my ad for 8/7 online today, and while the Keri and Loreal deals are indeed inside the same box as the “Saturdate” information, I clicked on the image for more information and it says that the sale is valid all week.  This is what the description for the Keri Lotion says:

      $5.99

      Keri Lotion

      Keri

      NEW, HOT BUY

Offer Valid Sunday, Aug 7th – Saturday, Aug 13th
$5.99 – REGISTER REWARDS Good on Next Purchase $5 = Like Paying 99¢

      • faith

True! I got the deal today at my local Walgreen's

    • liv

Do we count the Walgreen's monthly coupon book coupons as a regular coupon that might cause us to use fillers, or no? Thanks!

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

No!  Wags store Qs are simply price reducers and have no real count measurig regular Qs.

    • Cori C.

I want to print the Progresso coupon but it's in Spanish. Anyone know how to convert it or if they will just take the coupon in Spanish?

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

It wouldn't be smart and legit to refuse a valid coupon just because of another language. This shouldn't even be a question-They must have to accept it or else lawsuits would be waiting for them

      • guest

It should work even if it's in spanish.

    • Colleenstanley21

I printed the spanish coupon and when it came out, it had english underneath the spanish–so go ahead, it should work just fine.

    • Jennifer

I have some coupons for Ziploc that are buy 2 get 1 free. Will Wags let me use a $1/2 coupon on the 2 I am buying, plus the b2g1 free coupon? TIA for any help.

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

As has been in the past, and hoping nothing haschanged, yes you can use $1/2 Q on purchasing item A and Item B, and manuf b2g1 free on Item C.

    • guest

I  thought I read somewhere you could use both the $2 Huggies wipes in the infant care booklet and the $2 huggies wipes in the Aug coupon book along with the 50 cent MQ to make them $1.49.  Is this the case or am I misinformed?

      • Colette

Worked like a charm for me tonight.  I bought 5 packs at $1.50 a piece and also recieved a $2.50 off Scotts natural paper towels catalina.  I think from buying the Huggies natural wipes…Great Deal!

        • Corkysmom94

Dos anyone know where you can get the infant care coupon book? i asked a walgreens mgr and he did not know what I was talking about??

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

Someone below mentioned an interesting point in WAGS coupon policy text. It says valid WAGS coupon(s) and one manuf Q can be applied towards one item. Note the plural. Therefore, it seems multiple different wags coupons (with different 4-digit codes) can be used towards single item. That makes it very interesting and attractive to shop at WAGS

    • Cori C.

Thanks everyone for the info on the Spanish coupon. I didn't realize it printed English below. I was able to print my 2 Progresso coupons. I love Progresso soup :)

    • Hi. Can someone answer I question for me? I never do Wags deals just because it always seems like a lot of extra work. I shop at CVS every Sunday but this weekend there is really nothing for me so I am going to give Wags a try. I went tonight and got the Keri deal just to have some RR to start with. Ok my question. On Sunday I am going to buy 4 item and have a man Q to go with each one plus I want to use my RR. So will I have to buy a fifth item as a filler so my RR will go through or will it let me use 5 Q (4 man & 1 RR) for 4 items? I have read over the starting out section for Wags but couldn't seem to get the answer for this question. Thanks for any help!

      • guest

You will have to get another item to make your total number of items 5 if you want to use the RR.  Pick something small and cheap.  I usually get candy.

      • Odinvsaver

yes you have to purchase one more item. 5 coupons must equal 5 items. i usually get an extra sunday newspaper. i was going to get it anyway:)

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

You need fifth item as a “filler” and also make sure that subtotal is $5 (RR value) or over in order to be able to use $5 RR.

Where are you?  I'm in Atlanta and I got Keri for $5.99, used $2.00 coupon and got $5 RR back yesterday!  It's so strange to me that there is such a variation with these stores!

        • ireneY

I'm in Atlanta, too. I may try again today when picking up my free photo. My mom thinks it's funny all the cashiers recognize me there. No wonder — I'm there every day!!

    • thevietman

Does anyone know if you absolutely have to go over the $ amount to get the RR?  For example, the Renu/Biotrue RR deal says buy $20 to get the RR, but the items start at $4.99.  I've seen this so often and I hate to buy a 5th item just to get over the $20 mark, when 4 @ $4.99 = 19.96.  Does anyone know if the RR will still print out if I buy $19.96 and not 5 @ $4.99 = $24.95?  Thanks for your help.

      • Ipreferpublix

nope. It has to be over $20.

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

Marketing, that is. They attract you with the reward money but you will not always get exactly what you see. Also, that ending in .99 is also troublesome when you have to spend more just to make up for that penny. RR will not print

      • BoxerMom

It needs to be $20 or over before your coupons

    • LLP29

Walgreens will have Skinny Cow Candy on sale 2/$5. You can use the in store coupon making it 2/$4 plus you can use 2 manufacturer's coupons making it 2/$2. You can't beat $1 a box for skinny cow!!!!

    • Cypressmom76

So today I went to the Walgreens @ Grant and Eldridge in Houston and it was the worst shopping experience EVER! All of this in front of my children…here is what happened. While shopping today, I very quickly noticed two items on my list were not available. My daughter politely asked an employee if they could check on two items that were not on the shelves, she said she would ask the manager and walked off. While I was waiting, the manager walked by yelling at an employee saying something like “I DIDN'T DO THAT AND DON'T YOU DARE SAY I DID”!  My little boy overheard it and was confused. I told him to ignore it. We continued to wait patiently for about 20 min for help with the two products, and then pressed the service button to call for help. It paged overhead for assistance about 5 times before someone arrived. Keep in mind that there were at least 4-5 employees and the store was not busy. We asked again about the items again, and explained that this was our second request and without a word the employee turned and walked off.

When she finally came back she said they were out. I asked for a rain check and she informed me that they cannot write rain checks for these items. When asked why, she could not explain. I told her I was going to need to speak with the manager. When the same manager came out he told me he could not write a rain check for an item that would end up being free. He stated it had something to do with loss prevention, and furthermore it was “while supplies last”. I asked him to show me where it said that on the sale ad and he could not show me where, but he still refused to write me a rain check. I told him I was going to need their corporate contact info as well as his name. And like the other employee, he turned without a word and walked off. 5 min later he came back with a card with a phone number (1-800-walgreens) and curtly told me his name and walked away.

I asked him if it was customary for him to yell at employees in front of customers, and he spun around with fire in his eyes, and told me he didn't do that.  When I repeated what he said, he started walking towards me screaming, “YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'RE TALKKING ABOUT.  WHEN YOU ARE MY BOSS YOU CAN TELL ME WHAT TO DO!”  For a split second I thought he was going to throw me out of the store.  The rage was unmistakable.  I stood my ground and asked “what happened to customer service? Isn't the customer supposed to be right?”. With that he turned around, walked away, waving one hand in the air with a loud “WHATEVER!” Actually, the only other visit I have made to this store (weeks back) I was told by a cashier that the manager has a very strict policy and only allows the cashiers to do two transactions per customer per day. I was told that he threatens them with their jobs if they don't comply and it's done because the manager does not like couponers. So,  I called Walgreens corporate office from the middle of the store to file a complaint. They were horrified at the way he spoke to me not only as a customer, a woman, and a mother in front of her children.  They were surprised that he not only didn't offer a rain check but refused it when asked.  Furthermore, they stated that Walgreens corporate does not have a policy regarding the number of allowable transactions per customer. Someone is supposed to contact me early next week to let me know how this will be resolved.

So, what resolution does anyone think they should offer?  I never got the rain checks, or my free items, but that seems hardly enough for being verbally assulted by a manager.

      • ireneY

Wow, sorry you had to go through all that, although not too surprised based on my own experiences at Wags. You did the right thing. Hopefully, you'll start to see positive changes. Sometimes, I think they had been hiring managers from some sort of work release program. They obviously don't have the skills to be courteous or helpful.

      • Ylevans1982

before you suggest what they should offer you, ask them what they are willing to offer you. I had a friend with a similar situation (not near as bad though) and CVS gave her a $25 gift card…You deserve waaaaay more!

      • Mcleodsc

Do you have another WAGS that you can go to?  I have a wonderful 24hr store with a very well informed manager. I also have a regular WAGs with a very uninformed assistant manager and staff. The manager at this store is great when he is there.
I just found out this AM that I need to swipe my AARP card before everything NOT AT THE END as I was told at the other store.  Ugh

        • Cypressmom76

I actually have numerous Wags I can go to due to living in the Houston area, this one is unfortunately minutes from my home.  I have avoided it since the “two transactions” rule that was was enacted by the Manager.  But I went against my better judgement, only because of a toy on clearance that my son asked for the last time I was there. My main reason for posting was to let others know about the terrible customer service at this store and to get feedback and what others felt would be an acceptable resolution.

My CVS has had exemplary customer service.  The are friendly and helpful.  When I took my teenage daughter in to teach her how to coupon, they were patient and kind.  If an item is out of stock, they always write me a rain check, with ECB included.  I try to be the most considerate and polite couponer I can.  I never back up a line, I always let people go in front of me if I am doing multiple transactions. I never go when I am in a hurry, and I expect to have to re-work my plan because, things happen. This is how it should be.

          JMO, Wags….FAIL.

          • jenn

I am so sorry this happend to you especially in front of your children. I'm in the Houston area and several Wags will not allow multiple transactions. Its one a day. So if I happen to forget my bread or milk I can't go back and get it. So weird. I prefer CVS because it is so much easier and they have limits which is just fine for me.  I try to avoid Walgreens now because of the customer service and RR rules.

            • Scrappingramma5

can I ask how they would know if you were there in the morning? I go different times of the day, because I live very close and I will not do more than 2 transaction at 1 time. Keep in mind these transactions do not use my current RR as I use them from previuous visits only. The reason I have 2 transactions is that we seperate our joint food and household from my personal items from make-up to fun stuff for myself or grandchildren. I do not do multiple deals. Like same RR item on each transaction. CVS did tell me we are only allowed 1 cvs card per household now…WHY MUST these stores put these restrictions on. I can understand the manufactures trying to get control of this new phenominom..i know spelling isn't right but no spell checker is popping up. But the stores are making money. Sales are sales in my book and when I worked in management and wrote ads there was always profit, yes not as much but we were challenged to increase our sales and profit of course. Stores are making money if we all do it legit… anyways god help us all…..

          • Mspoppie

I like cvs much better too! They even alert you of a cupon you could use and if they are out of the item they speak up… how about a rain check! Wags treat cuponers like second rate citizens I hate it! The only time I go there is if they have a fantstic deal on something I just cant live without, Which is rare!! I can wait till the same deal come to CVS. :)

I believe that his lack of a professional behavior is horrible. I do know though that my Walgreens informed me the reason why we can not get rainchecks on items that produce a Register Reward is because they could not force a Register Reward, like CVS can force Extra Care Bucks. Once I thought about this it made sense because if I ever have an issue with not getting a Register Reward I always have to see the manager. At CVS the employee always resolves it if they can tell that I am in the right.

        • Cypressmom76

And that I understand, so then the question becomes, how does Wags honor an offer that includes RR if they are out of stock or there is a problem?  It would seem their system is flawed.  As a manager, it is his job, regardless of the flaws in the system, to make sure the customer is satisfied.  Bottomline.  That most certainly was not his objective.

I work in the medical field in a leadship/management role and have been in customer service for 20 years.  I speak with angry patients and physicians every day.  My conversations are recorded, and if I ever spoke to someone the way he spoke to me, I would be unemployed faster that you could say Bob's you're uncle!

      • Momofpiper

My Walgreens in Tennesse is AWESOME! They give me rainchecks on items that offer a RR.  When I take the raincheck in with the indicated RR, the cashier just rings up the item for the price-RR amount.  I'm sorry you had such a horrible experience.  You need to find a better Wags & make friends with one cashier. That solved all of my problems.

      • Shelly

Hi…I can REALLY feel your pain!  I have shopped at that store you are mentioning, know exactly who you are talking about, and have never gone back and never will.  A couple of months ago, I stayed up until 2:00 saturday night working out all of my deals and making sure everything was just right.  It's alot of work making Walgreens deals work, as their policies are so ignorant and high-mainenance.  That particular week was an awesome coupon week, so I had more transactions than I normally do, admittedly.  So, I go to the store right after I finished (yes, at 2:00 in the morning) to make sure I got everything on my list and also the RR don't print until then.  I spent a good hour making sure I got everything and getting it all in' order.  I go up to the counter and the very nice checker starts checking me out.  Shortly after, this manager walks up and sees all the product in my cart and begins complaining about couponers and how much I'm purchasing.  I hadn't cleared any shelves…they were very stocked.  He then told the cashier that he needed to stop ringing me up and that I was done.  I looked at him in shock, thinking he MUST be joking…he wasnt.  I had just started with all my transactions and he refused to let me buy anything else.  He told me I needed to leave the store!  My husband was with me and was about to deck him for speaking to me that way…I was frozen in shock, seriously. I couldn't move.  My husband was like…”we need to leave now before I do something we'll both regret”.  We left and, when reality started setting back in, I got extremely angry.  The nerve of that guy to decide I wasn't “allowed” to purchase what was in my buggy!!  I hope that the gift Walgreens gives you is his job (and head) on a silver platter!!!

        • Cypressmom76

Here's the thing, and its kind of hard to put into words (which is why I hadn't mentioned it previously), but as a woman who was in an abusive marriage for years, I am all too familiar with the look on a man's face when he wants to attack a woman…and it was there…and unmistakable.   Even my daughter was afraid.

For a split second it was like he contemplated throwing me out….when you said that he made you leave the store, it reaffirmed what I was thinking. And why would he do that? Because I questioned his “store policy” on rain checks and number of transactions?  Because I questioned his lack of customer service with regard to store specials? Or was it because I questioned the way he spoke to employees in front of customers and children?  Unacceptable.

What he is woefully ignorant to is that Walgreens takes out millions and millions of dollars in national ads like the two page one in last weeks sunday paper, sales flyers, and specials on specific products, all to lure us into their stores over CVS or Walmart.  And then they hire some monster that treats us like garbage and throws us out of stores?  I think not!  Maybe he thinks that because his store is off the beaten path, the he can just act like a tyrant and a bully and no one with stand up to him, question him,  or report him.

I'm here to say, I am a well spoken, educated, professional, mother of three that will NOT just go to another store.  I dare him to lay a hand on me. I dare him to ask me to leave the store.  I dare him to call the cops with proof that I am doing something wrong and should be refused service.  I WILL stand in the middle of his store and loudly report him to their corporate office!  I WILL not only file the complaint over the phone but on their website in writing!  I WILL post what happed on website, and blogs, and social networking sites. He messed with the wrong woman!

          • Diane

So sorry it happened to you. This is indeed a frightful experience. You would probably be called by store manager (if he is nt the same manager) and DM who would probably be soft talking and all. Do not budge and demand an investigation into this harrassment. I would even go further by documenting the incident in writing , like you did above, to their regional and store managers. Demand a response in wrting so you could put a closure to it. Go back to store with your head high and do whatever needs to be done. If they still do it again, then it is a million dollar harrassment suit. Trust me you could be a patient of heart or anxiety disorder and such employees may give you a heart attack or anxiety attacks.

Also, some of you simlpy say find another store-That means you may encouraging them to keep the behavior. Documenting a complaint with the corp is the first step, if that does not resolve there are BBB, and possibly other consumer aganecies who would review your case. Thus, WAGS will be forced to behave

      • Cypressmom76

And as a show of poor corporate customer service…they were supposed to call back within two business days. I received no such call. Grrrr.

    • Wooburne1

My Wags is not allowing me to uset the SS7/24 Store Q because the photo shows the box of diapers and not the jumbo size. I'm going to go to another Wags today to see if they will take it. Has anyone else been having a problem?

2 RR WYB Huggies Little Movers Slip-On Jumbo Pack Diapers at $9.49

-$2 off Huggies Little Movers or Snug and Dry diapers big pk, SS 7/24

-$2 off Huggies diapers or wipes Walgreens home mailer

-$1.50 off Huggies diapers, SS 7/17

-$2 off Huggies diapers, Porque Sabes Chorrar Compras booklet

(use $2 off mfr and store coupon, makes it $3.49)

      • Mandyward67

i think the coupon said big pack…and that normally does mean the box! if it says jumbo pack…it is the smaller one. crazy..

      • Clcaulfie

do you know the coupon code on the huggies book?   Its the last 4 digits of the coupon….

    • Newbie

I cannot find the $1.50 off Colgate Sensitive Pro-relief toothpaste, SS 7/31!!!  I have looked and looked!  Anyone else have this problem?  Or do you know where it is?  I'm in Atlanta, and get the AJC.  :(

      • Lonestar9

I'm sure it's a regional coupon like always. It wasn't in the coupons with the Greenville news either. I'm use to that now, look for a great coupon only to find we don't get it in our area.

    • Mandyward67

I went in today and the Keri lotion rang up at 5.99 and printed the $5 RR. So check it out!

    • Carl

      Skinimate Shave cream on sale1.99
use 1.50 coupon makes it .49 each

      get coupon here  http://coupons2.smartsource.com/smartsource/index.jsp?Link=IYDNXWQA5NB3W

    • Jklyles1

So i get up early and go to walgs…picked up the wrong toothpaste (no RR printed) asked if i could return it..she gave me what I paid AFTER coupons and then wouldnt give me my coupons back!!!  I lost the value of both coupons ($1.50) BOOOOO!!!!!!

      • Mcleodsc

That is stealing. Call and tell the manager!  The store will get 3.16 for those coupons.

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

he did not do it correctly. They have to issue a store credit for coupon values, if nothing else, returing your coupons was warranted because you could use it

    • Cashier told me today that Wags is now counting their instant-value q's from their monthly coupon books as manufacturer q's. While you can still use a manufacturer q with this instant/manufacturer q, it means I would have to buy even more filler items to count towards my item/coupon ratio. And if this is really a manufacturer q, I don't know of any other store where you can stack two manufacturer's q's on one item. Walgreens has just added one more inconvenience to their couponing customers. It just doesn't make sense to me, when they get reimbursed for all these manufacturer q's. With the talk being no more RR's next month anyway, I guess I'm done with Wags. It's just not worth the hassle. I will do my shopping at CVS from now on. My prediction is that Wags is going to see a dramatic drop in sales, when they inconvenience customers, cut out RR's & treat customers with coupons like garbage.

      • Newbie

I did not know they were going to nix the RR…..  Where did you hear/read this?  If this is the case, WAGS is going to struggle if Rite Aid keeps UP and CVS keeps ECB…..

      • Mcleodsc

How can the coupons in their monthly coupon books be manufacturers coupons when there is no manufacturer or redemption address listed?  For a coupon to be a manufacturers coupon there HAS to be a manufacturers name and redemption address for WAGS to mail in the coupons to get reimbursed.  Sounds like BS to me!

      • guest

My store doesn't require you to clip them out of the booklet and hand it to them at checkout.  You know what I mean?  ie  to send them to a clearinghouse to be processed.  I always thought that was what a true MQ was.  Sometimes I think they just make it up as they go along.

      • Scrappingramma5

Just had to say Hi to anothr Nita!! This is also my name and i hardly ever hear it. I am actually Juanita. Either one was torture as a child. But I am proud to have this name now. Names these days are really original for lack of a better and nicer phrase. Nice to meet you…
In response I think they make stuff up or just don't understand. I think they may be using the ivc (the instore book) as items though as I have had a few count issues recently.

    • Jen

Did anyone in the Greenville SC area get the Ban coupon?

      • Skay76

Yes, Jen – it's in the SS with the Cici's pizza on the front…near the back.. right hand side on the bottom of the page.  Hope that helps!

        • Jen

Thanks so much. I see it now. I am hoping they aren't sold out yet, but I bet they are!

          • Cori C.

            Price match at walmart :)

    • Abi

Just FYI on the Huggies wipes deal, I just got back from my local Wags and bought a few packs of the wipes and they ASKED ME if I had both store coupons to make sure I was getting the best deal. I was armed with the coupon policy but they went above and beyond making sure I was using all the coupons I could for my transactions. The coupons worked perfectly and I got them for $1.99 each (I already used all my manufacturers, boo)! So happy to be a little more stocked on wipes, we go through them so quickly. They also had TONS!! I bought 6 packs and left about 20-25 packs on the shelf…I was worried they'd be sold out.

      • Jas

do you mind telling me which coupons you used? I don't understand how to get it to work

        • Abi

Sure – I used the $2 Huggies wipes 184+ or diapers coupon in the Infant Care Booklet (bought 6 packs, $12 came off) and the $2 Huggies wipes refill coupon in the August coupon booklet that is in the front of the store by the ads (bought 6 packs, $12 came off again for a total of -$24 in store coupons). You can also use the manufacturer coupon Jenny has listed but I used all mine up already. Good luck!

          • Jas

oh okay thank you. I dont have the infant are coupon :/

            • Abi

A lot of stores (both near me) will use the code if you have it but not the coupon since they don't have to turn in the store coupons. The code in the Infant Care Booklet is 55192, I think they just use 5519 tho. It won't take it if you don't buy the right things, so they shouldn't have any issues with you giving them the code. Doesn't hurt to try! Good luck.

            • Jas

Thank you Abi! My best friend's sister is expecting her baby this week and it would be nice to get a nice big basket together without having to chuck out the big price lol

            • Abi

How thoughtful – those are the best gifts at the hospital! Hope it works well for you – don't forget to take a manufacturer if you haven't used yours up already for an even better deal! I didn't have to have any fillers for the two store coupons (even used some RR's with it and they just counted as manu's and the 2 store coupons didn't count against me – yay!).

            • Karen

Thank you for this information!  I went to my Wags today and the cashier said she tried a code yesterday, but it didn't work.  I gave her the one you have listed and it worked!  Great deal on wipes!!

            • Abi

Awesome – so happy it worked for you! I love it when things go according to plan. :D

    • Amy

Just back from Walgreens…Bought WG version of Prilosec and got $6 RR back.  Then bought
      1 Purex   1.99
1 Ban Deodorant  l.49w/ WG coupon, then .75 M coupon
2 Palmolive Detergents .89 with WG coupon
2 Arrid Deodorant .99 with WG coupon
Less $6 RR….total owed $l.00 which included tax
I will say that I had to hunt to find the sale items, not tags or signs, just matched them with coupon…also the WG Prilosec was at the top of a shelf unit, with no signs… hard to reach, but finally got it, wasn't going to ask for help,  Mgr at .Elberton, GA  store can be a bit grumpy…had to be sure to show clerk WG coupons…did not automatically ring up. Still very good trip

      • Katy

first time i have seen an Elbert person on here…im from elberton but moved to Augusta….totally forgot there is a Walgreen's there!

    • Guest

If you have 2 bogo free coupons can you purchase the 2 items and only pay tax and this is not a bogo sale.

      • Meg

        No :(

    • Caralandri

Just got back from my local store. The huggies coupon u have listed on here to use for the store coupon does not work for this deal its for the big pack and the little pack is the one on sale with the register rewards. I was told at first it was because I was buying the new slip on ones then after a few mins. of having words with the manager we both realized it was becuase it was not the big pack on sale. So u cant get the deal for 3.49. If anyone knows another way would u please let me know thanks so much.

    • Newbie

Not a good week.  Went and bought the Dr. Scholls – $24.00 worth and my $8 RR didn't print.  Store employees are no help and I didn't have time to fight.  Some times I wonder if all this couponing is really worth the trouble…..  :(  Not feeling very good about it today.

      • Newbie

I used some other RR from last week toward the total price, and I know they aren't supposed to make the new RR not print, but that's what they told me.  I called the Catalina machine people but it takes 4 to 6 weeks to process!  :(

        • Massiel1012

Speak to a manager…  Last week, I mistakenly bought two of the same item in the same transaction (only one of the register rewards prints when you buy them in the same transaction).  I noticed once I got home.  I went back the next day with my receipt and explained to the manager.  She was extremely nice and reprinted the register reward for me.  I have found that at times the cashiers are less helpful than the managers when it comes to coupons.  It can be discouraging, but in the time I have been couponing (a couple of months) I have saved hundreds!  I have decided that I will work around the rude ones (by requesting a manager if I have to) in order to do what is best for my family!!  In the long run, it pays off financially!!!  Keep it up and good luck!

          • Ebunne63

the store i go to, the cashiers arn't allowed to wait on me. i go to cosmtics or photo and the manager rings me out.. less mistakes… lol

      • couponing is VERY worth it, BUT WalGreens is not…

    • Medigrl1

can you combine a store coupon with a Manu. at walgreens

      • Newbie

You're supposed to, but it depends on the store, the cashier and how nice they feel like being to you….  Yeah.

        • Medigrl1

          thank you

        • Jimsgirl67

As a walgreens employee, I have to say, it might depend on how nice YOU are being.  There is a “sense of entitlement” and A LOT of greed that is becoming very common in this age of extreme couponers.  I do my very best to give excellent service at all times, but it gets difficult when you know shoppers are trying to maniplulate the system and not go by the rules.

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

yes, and that is how it works and it does not and should not be dependent on employees how they feel about it

    • Guest

I am sorry but I have another question when using a bogo free coupon with a bogo 50% off sale what price is taken off the full or the 50%?

      • guest

My wags writes in the amount of the item before the sale – the checker pulls the tape to see what the price was to write on the coupon and writes the full amount on the coupon.

    • Brooke

the deal on Huggies wipes worked for me, i bought 4 packs and paid $1.49 each. I used the $2.00 off August coupon book, the $2.00 off infant care booklet coupon and a $1.00 off 2 manu coupon. I did have to use a couple fillers to get the M coupon to work. Great deal!

      • Guest

just because it “worked” doesnt make it right

        • Brandidoyle44

Whoa…hold on what's “wrong” about it? My store told me if they weren't meant to be used in conjunction with eachother the register wouldn't allow it to go through.

        • Brooke

not sure what you mean about it not being right……my Walgreens had no issue doing this, and another guest who posted even said their Walgreens asked if they had both q's. i am always caredful not to use q's in an abusive way and quite honestly dont appreciate you saying otherwise. Like Brandidoyle44 said the register did not even beep during my purchase.

        • Abi

This is fine to use both coupons – it states it in the coupon policy and my store encourages multiple coupons. They came off without any issues and they were happy for my savings. Walgreens computers are VERY picky and wouldn't have allowed it without an override anyway (I received NO overrides during my visit). It worked AND it is right – according to the employees AND the official policy Jenny has listed on this site.

      • Brandidoyle44

This worked for me too…I have two young ones so I bought 8 packs and had several different coupons some even for $1 off one and along with the August and Infant care boo I only paid $11.36!!! Awesome deal even though I found out on my trip our Walgreens no longer allows you to make a transaction to receive the RR then use it immediately on another transaction…you have to leave the store and return to use the RR. They said this is in order to keep the amount of transactions to a minimum during the hours that they only have one register open apparently its became a problem

      • Erica Breton

Hi, I have a question, I am about to go purchase some wipes but I don't have the August coupon book, or infant care book, do they keep a set of these at the register that I could use?

        • Brooke

i got the august coupon book near the entrance of the store, if not there they shoud have extras at the register. The infant care book came out a while ago and i happened to keep the q. There is a code on the q and it looks like from what some others have said you can ask the cashier to enter the code…..55192, from what ive read the code will only work if you buy the correct item so if your cashier is friendly u shouldnt have a problem.

    • Kmm5355

FYI…the Keri Lotion is ringing up for $5.99…even though it wasn't supposed to until Saturday, August 13th.

It is a month long rr

      • Kristen

Did the register reward print too?

          yes!

Can anyone tell me where I can find the Walgreens coupon calendar?  Thanks!

    • Khristina

Okay I know the Kerri lotion sale is Saturday only, but I need a lotion now so I was going to go ahead and buy it. I went in the store and bought several other sale items . I could not find the lotion anywhere where is it in your store. The cashier rolled her eyes and asked me didnt i read the ad it goes on sale Saturday she said . I told her I appreciate that but wanted some now said come back Saturday which I will do of course but anyways not the point.
My question it was not with the other lotions is it in your store. Thanks

      • Mandyward67

that is stupid! mine was in another area than the lotion. I had to ask and they showed me. But when I bought it…it rang up as the 5.99 sale price!

        • Khristina

Did you get a RR with it ?

      • Coupongal1

It is also a month long rr – but not at sale price.

    • Rncouponing

QUESTION: I have $2 RR, and plan to purchase the BIC pens that are on sale for $1.99 and purchase 2 packs, I also have a coupon to get $1 off two packs, will walgreens honor the manuf. coupon and the $2 RR? Thanks

      • Jlaleonard

You can try it. If the $2 RR won't work then add a cheap .19 filler item to the order. HTH

      • Mandyward67

it will not take the RR unless is is the exact amout or more…I just tested it tout!

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

Your total would be over $2 after the coupon, so $2RR would have worked perfectly. However, there have been mixed reports posted here. Since you have two items only and the manuf. Q ($1/2) supposedly attaches to both items, your RR may not have any “available” item to attach to.

Some people reported scanning RR first and then scan $1/2 Q to see if both will go through that way. If not, then you will have to have a small “filler” item handy to scan it so you could then use both Qs. Please report your experience here, if possible

    • Tiffany

Cannot find any of the Phineas & Ferb Listerine Smartrinse in Frisco, TX.

    • Scrappingramma5

I am not seeing pricing on here that shows “Back to school Sale” I am in Wisconsin though..But it is a killer ad. It is a seperate single full sized sheet that went with the reg ad. I am def going to my store tomorrow!!
WAG Q= Printworks Copy paper $1.99 Elmers glue .29,

BTW where the heck is the cents symbol on a keyboard??

    • Jlaleonard

I read tonight that Walgreen's will getting rid of the RR's and using registered accounts with a point system? I have been reading this on their site at Walgreens rewards dot com.  They also have several “TEST market” areas.

      • Mandyward67

this is like how it used to be and it was alot easier!

        • jmoz

But that does make it more difficult to stock up if there's a limit on items…

    • Margecoupon

If anyone is looking for the Porque Sabes Chorrar booklet, it's actually Porque Sabes Ahorrar. Chorrar is not a Spanish word, but Chorar (with one r) means to rip off or steal!!! Thought this was too funny and had to share!

      • Margoren

I am a native speaker of Spanish, and in the “Diccionario De La Lengua Española” the word “chorrar” is an old form of the verb “chorrear”. Chorrear means spilling of a liquid. Of course when someone has diarrhea we say they have “chorrillo”. When I read what Jenny wrote that's the first thing that came to mind, lol.
You are right, chorar means to steal, altough it is a word we never used back at home, but I learned that thanks to you!
For stealing we always say “robar”.
It is good she did not write Chorrar with only one r, lol

      • Tuckyblue2

where do you find the booklet? need Q

    • Ladybugpam

I am in Southern California and I am not sure if you all have the same exact ad that I do, but mine has TWO wags q's for carmex lip balm–one for “buy one at $1.69, get one free” and another one that reduces the price down to 99cents.  I was thinking…hmmm…is this a mistake??  but I tried it tonight, handed over the B1G1 first, then the 99cents reducing q.  They were originally priced $1.79 at my store.  The first q took off $3.78(making 2 free and taking the extra 10cents each off the other 2).  The second q took off $3.20, 80cents off each of the original price of the 4 lip balms to make them 99cents!  $1.79×4=$7.19-$3.78-$3.20=$0.18!!!  I paid 4 and a half cents per lip balm!!!  and to top it off, these counted as filler items cuz I only used store q's on them:)  I was able to use 4 RR to pay for the other items I bought.  sweet deal.

    • Ladybugpam

correction:  The first q took off $3.78(making 2 free and taking the extra 10cents each off ALL 4!!!!).

    • Mandyward67

I had a great week! Don't forget to check the 24ct crayons. They are on sale for $1 with a $1 RR printing. Also…the Keri lotion already rang up 5.99 and print $5 RR.

      • Margoren

        The crayons are regional.

    • Ang

Thought this was a good deal especially for going back to school…  Bought 6 Lysol wipes at 2.50 each.  Used 3 $1/2 Qs and got $5 RR back.  Lysol also has a buy 2 get 1 wipe free rebate, which makes the total $4.50.  $.75 per each wipe.

      • Bbfluvshoppin

Could you post the information about the Lysol rebate?  Thanks!

Seems like things are really going to be bad for us all the way the world wide markets are today things are going to go sky high with our interest rates and buying power. We all need to do our best to stock up with out of course being greedy.Things are going to get real bad out there.

    • Are RR's valid up until the date indicated??? I have about $8 worth… omg

      • Charash

        Yes!

    • Twinsis620

Just a warning… I just bought a Gillette Pro Glide razor and tried to use the $4 RR to buy another one along with the $4 P& G coupon.. and it won't let you… apparently the RR are actually from P& G as a manuf coup… so you can only use one… you will have to use your RR's for something else…

      • Pedsnurse12003

That same thing happened to me. The store manager said you can not use P & G rewards to buy a P & G product. If you do, It doesnt print you additional rewards.

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

This has come up several times on these boards and this is fundamental to WAGS smart shopping.

You bought G. Razor => received $4RR (from P&G ) => you can use it to buy another G Razor, BUT RR wont print because you would be using the same RR to pay for the same offer. This is way to limit the non-stop cycle of RR for the same offer. (You could be just buying hundreds of same items one after the other)

Also, read tutorials somewhere on this website on how to shop WAGs

      • Gatorginger

Yes that is true Twin you cannot use a RR on the same product.

    • EricaMartin

Booooo, I can't print the Keri Lotion coupon!! :(:(

    • ToddlerMommy

Just wanted to let you know the July All You magazine also has a .50/1 coupon on any domino sugar product 2 lbs. or larger.

    • Coupon-er

I'm in the Nashville area and our Walgreens did not offer $2 RR when I purchased Huggies today.

    • EricaMartin

I was able to use BOTH August coupon booklet $2 off Huggies wipes, and the infant care $2 off huggies wipes, and man. coupons! I got 5 packages for $9!!! Saved $32!!! The clerk told me that she was unsure if I could use both in-store coupons but I asked her nicely to try and they both scanned!!!! BEST deal on wipes ever!!!

    • Dee

I just want to say..I went to two Walgreen's today..totally out of the items on sale, including the Keri lotion…no rainchecks to offer on the items with rainchecks..what is the point?  If they don't give raincheck, and the second day of their sale, they are out of significant sale items..then what are your options? What a joke!  I even contacted customer service and they gave me no real answers…just up to the manager.  What a way to get people in to your store, then say..ooops, no rain checks for you!  But thanks for coming in!

      • Dee

Meant register rewards not rain checks…know what I mean though..

    • Dee

I forgot to say…Boo Walgreens!  Get a better customer friendly policy on sale items, or better yet, STOCK UP ON SALE ITEMS!!!!!

    • Mcleodsc

I just emailed P&G about the coupons in the WAGS INFANT CARE booklet. Maybe P&G will know if the coupons are in fact P&G manu. coupons?

    • Kristina Akins

I've had so many bad experiences at Walgreens when trying to use coupons!  It's ridiculous!  However, I tried again when they had the Cottonelle on sale with the $1.50 Catalina.  When the girl rang me up, she did not include the $1/1 IVC!  She did ring up my manu Q's. When I asked the manager, she said the IVC was a manu Q!  WHAT??!!  I left and was determined to NEVER return to Walgreens!  For the first time, I emailed corporate office and described what happened.  To my surprise, I rec'd a call the very next morning from the manager apologizing and offering me a refund for the IVC's!!!!

Tonight, I bought a two pack of Infant Advil on sale for $5.49 and used a $2 Q!  Only $3.49 for two boxes!

So maybe I'll try Walgreens a little here and there again!

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

I am realizing some stores are better than others; and some shifts are better than others in the same store. It looks like the managers make a big difference if they are well-informed and educated, then all employees would behave well.

However, do not be discouraged. I have had problems but they seem to be improving quickly. I have received calls within no time with managers very professional and caring. That is why I am continuing with WAGs; otherwise, I would have long given up.

      • Sharris1659

I like Walgreen very much.  I've only had good experiences there, and they have many more markdowns (at least, they do here) than CVS or Rite Aid.

    • Tuckyblue2

how do you get walgreens home mailer?

    • Tuckyblue2

where do you find the Porque Sabes Chorrrar booklet? i'm just full of all kinds of questions today.lol

    • Iveta

I had a coupon for every item and wanted to use Reward Rewards Catalina coupon, but cashier said I can't and I had to get additional item that did not had coupon on. I got a candy bar, which I did not plan on getting. Has anyone run into this?

      • Mommyoftwo

a Register Reward is considered a coupon as well so you have to have what is considered a “filler” item when you are at Walgreens if you use a RR when using a coupon in conjunction with it.    That's why she lists the filler items in her listings like the pocket folders for 17 cents this week.  Also Walgreens coupons do not “count” as coupons.  That is why you can use that as a filler and still use the Register Reward.  Hope that helps.

      • Diane

I've decided to use my rr's at Bi-lo's now since they have started taking them. I spend too much time trying to figure out how to break up my transactions so I can use them up.  I can't always use up my rr's at Wags each week, but I always need groceries.

        • Diane

Just wanted to add that my Walgreen's here in Lake Wylie,(SC) is wonderful.  They are sometimes out of the sale items like the other stores but their personnel are fabulous. They have always been very helpful and patient while I'm learning to coupon.

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

The cashier was right. You just needed a “filler” item like you added one

    • A guest

do the “in-ad coupons” count towards coupon count??? Also if I buy the huggies wipes, can I use BOTH thhe $2 off infant care booklet and august coupon? if so how many more items will I need to  make it work?

      • guest

I don't think they do.  I think that's only for the MQs.  I have heard you can use both of the store coupons but I haven't tried it myself.  My WAGS is sold out of the Huggies wipes until Wed.

      • Erica Breton

I used both $2 off coupon. The clerk told me she was unsure if it would work but I asked her if she could try it and the computer took both, she had to type in my man. q's though. But 5 bags for $9 is soo worth it!!

      • Abi

I used both store and didn't need a filler and as long as you only have one manu. per pack you should not need any fillers!

      • Melissa

Yep! I asked first and they both went through.

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

no the in ad Qs do not count nor the monthly nor the infant care Qs. They all have store branded UPC codes; so that is one way to tell if they would go along side actual manuf Qs.

Also, many here have reported that August booklet store Q and Infant care store Q both have worked together. However, some had issues with using manuf Q after those two. It is better if you just keep a filler item handy in case your manuf Q beeps and the employees are unfriendly and wont push it thru.

    • MelissaM

'Wags' definitely lost me as a shopper today.  I don't like their lack of customer service anyway, and prefer CVS, but sometimes the register rewards (or whatever they call them) are too good to pass up. Today, I tried to use a register reward and a coupon and had no idea I could not do that.  I was left standing next to the register for nearly fifteen minutes before an asst manager came to help…he said, and I quote, he did not know that they needed to post the fact that you could not use the register rewards with a manufacturer's coupon because it is 'just common sense.'  Okay then.  Bye Walgreens!

      • Jimsgirl67

It is very plain on the RR that is a manufacturer's coupon, and the policies state clearly that you can only use one manufacturer's coupon per item.  How is it Walgreen's fault that you didn't read?

        • Couponstef

It is possible that this person shops more often at Rite Aid or CVS often where the UP rewards and ECB's can be used with coupons without keep items equal to coupons (even though they are similar to RR in that you earn them when you buy items).  You don't need to be rude in your reply to Melissa M with your last sentence.

          • guest

I agree !  That is extremely rude!

        • Mysterious_Mentalist

actually you missed the whole point

        • MelissaM

Wow, Jimsgirl, sorry I 'didn't read.'  I didn't say it was their fault at all. I said I 'didn't know' I take full responsibility for that.  I just thought it was rude of him, and the cashier should have known the policy.   I guess, unlike you, I don't know everything.  Hope you have a great day!!

      • Couponstef

That isn't true – you can use a RR and a manufacturer's coupon but that counts as two coupons and if you were only buying 1 item they don't allow that…your item count must equal of exceed your coupon count.  But I agree if they are that rude, they don't deserve your business.  I wish the store employees would learn coupon policy – we couponers sure know it!  :)

        • Couponstef

If you were buying one item and had two coupons – you would need to add a filler item so you had 2 coupons and 2 items.

        • MelissaM

          Thanks! I know now :)

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

Sorry it happened to you. The employees are totally off and they are misunderstanding the whole concept. All you needed to do is to scan just one more item to bring the # of items scanned at least to the number of Qs including RR.

      • Jen

Sorry that happened to you and I'm even more sorry that you are being treated like this on Southern Savers, why do you guys have to be so rude? Y'all need to take a break from couponing cuz you are being flippin weird.  Melissa, I have had issues at Walgreens before with the manager as well. Even if you didn't read the coupon policy they should have explained the policy to you in a respectful manner. Being “common knowledge” just isn't good enough. From my experience….not having read the policy, your manufacturer coupon count just needs to meet the # of products you have, RR being included in that. So if you have a $1 off Q and a $1 off RR and you only have 1 item then just throw something cheap in with your order, like the caramels for .33. They're pretty good. :)

    • Miller0516

There is a $1/2 Skinny Cow coupon in the August WAG coupon book.  Combined with the $1 MQ, it makes the 6-pack boxes only $1.

    • Couponstef

I am wondering if Walgreens will allow me to buy 2 Ban Deodorants for $1.49 each using their store coupon and then use 2 manufacturer's coupons (a B1G1 free and a $1.00 off – both coupons were in Sunday's Detroit News).  I would pay 49 cents for both but not sure you can use a B1GI and a cents off.  Anyone know?  Thanks.

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

Yes, WAGs allows cents off wth bogo Q.

    • Jennifer Anderson

In the Aug Wags coupon book is $3 off 6pk expo markers. They are on sale for $3.99. The 2 pks are on sale for .99. If you buy 1 6pk and 1 2 pk you can use the $3/1 and the $2/2 printable and score both for free.

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

Yes, only that you will need few cents item so the coupon does not beep. However, if it does or you are just buying those two packs then, the coupon price will need to be adjusted lower by 2 pennies.

    • tina

went to wags today to get the expo markers the cashier said i couldnt use the coupons because for two pack it would only be 1.98 and the coupons was for 2.00 off so i didnt get anything there and went not even a quarter of a mile to walmart and price matched everything i wanted loving walmart more and more

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

If that happens again, remnd the employee that they are supposed to adjust the coupon price to 1.98-simple as that. It is also in WAGs coupon policy. Just not insisting will not educate them and they will keep creating problems for all of us.

        • tina

i just hate telling people about thier own policy if they work there they should know it i did ask  if she could take 1.98 of shesaidno i then asked they stopped adjusting the price down and thenshe said she has never done that

        • BoxerMom

Actually if you read the coupon policy correctly it states they can't accept a coupon that exceeds the SALE price of the item. They can't take a $2/2 coupon for the expo markers that are 2/$1.98. Even with a filler item. The part that says they can reduce the coupon is under the multiple coupon header. When you purchase an item and use a walgreens coupon and a manufacture coupon, the Walgreens coupon will be reduced by the register to reflect the price of them item minus the manufacture coupon.

          • reynoldsja

In the event that any item's selling price is less than the value
of the coupon, Walgreens will only accept the coupon in exchange for the selling price of the
item. Coupon redemption can never exceed the selling price of an item and no cash back is ever
provided in exchange for any coupons.

          • Mysterious_Mentalist

            —xxxxx—–

            Sale Items
Walgreens will accept manufacturer coupons for an item that is on sale. To understand the above, employees will need basic reading skills from their reading comprehension schooling or SAT to intrepret it correctly. If employees lack intelligence or are school dropouts, then it is our duty to educate members of a society for the betterment of the whole society.

            • Guest

Keep up the attitude and you will be lucky to get anything you try to tell the employees that “lack intelligence” it seems to me everyone has their own way of reading the coupon policy. Doesn't make your comprehension right.

            • CouponSavvy

I think you Mysterious_Mentalist need to learn respect. There are people that work jobs they may not necessarily care to work, but they do what they have to. Cashiers are there for one reason to serve you, they don't make the rules if you have an issue take it up with a manager. So there is no need to be INVIDIOUS…. That's an SAT word in case you needed to look it up.

      • Kcraves

I'm in Mobile, AL. The Wal-Greens I normally use is in Tillman Corner. They have never given my any problems using coupons. Even it the coupon was more than the item.

    • Louie_32887

I've asked before, but I can't remember which blog I asked on :( Here goes: Can you use more than one RR coupon in a transaction? I read the coupon policy and it doesn't sound like you can't. I ran into the issue once at Walgreens when they wouldn't let me use more than one (I had 2).

Also, if there is an item in the ad on sale that gives you RR, but when you go to get the sale it's out of stock, can they write you a rain check that will give you the RR when the item is back in stock if it's a different week? Sorry if that sounds confusing, my husband's eyes just glaze over when I start talking about this stuff lol.

      • tina

yes you can use more then one rr but lets say you have three items you cant use three coupons and a rr the piece of paper cant be more then items if you have three items you can only use three piece of paper (like two coupons and one rr) i dont think they give rain check for items with rr i hope this helps :)

        • Louie_32887

Ok, thank you! I get the whole paper thing now lol. I guess I can ask them tomorrow when I go on my couponing advernture :)

          • tina

no problem glad i can help it has taken me about 3 months to get the whole wag thing down

        • Tina

so, if I am wanting to use two manufacturer coupons and two RR's, I will need to have four items in my purchase and the total must be more than the value of the above added together.  Is that correct?

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

Yes, you can use more than 1RR in one transaction as long as a) you have at least the same number of items scanned in the same transaction, and b) your subtotal is equal or higher than your RR values.

Some employees have difficulty understanding this and they confuse it with coupon and item ratio requirements. You can get raincheck for sale price but no RR will be given when you come after the sale week.

      • guest

You can't use twoof same rr, for example if you buy three items and you have two $4 rr from buying gillettte razors and your subtotal is $10 it won't take both.walgreens has too many rules,I learned the hard way! I hope I made sense.

      • BoxerMom

They can write you a raincheck for an out of stock register reward item. But it won't print a register reward once the deal is over. They can only give you something the can print from the store's computer that you then have to mail in to Catalina

      • BoxerMom

And I can totally relate to the husband's eyes rolling over thing, I just tell him what i spent and what i saved. Trying to go into specifics with him just ends up confusing him lol good luck :)

    • Janel

$1.50 off Coupon for Colgate Sensitive Pro-relief toothpaste is  Not in SS 7/31.  Does it exist?

      • Mcleodsc

try trading for it. it was regional

      • Margoren

Yes, I got it. We always get higher value colgate coupons than what Jenny gets (or posts)

    • Mary

Are the coupons in the Vitamins & Supplements booklet considered man Qs or store Qs?  The reason I'm asking is that Jenny has them as being store Qs above, but when I tried to stack one a few weeks back, I was told at WAGs that I couldn't because they are man Qs (and they do start with a “5”.  I want to go buy some vitamins that are on sale, but I don't want to look silly when I try to check out.  Have any of you ever stacked these?

      • BoxerMom

        They are Manufacture coupons.

      • Mcleodsc

WAGS coupon booklets can have both store cpns and manu coupons.  If the coupon has the name and address for redemption for the manufacturer then it is a manufacturer's coupon. If the info is missing-it is a WAGS coupon, even if WAGS has manufacturers coupon in very small print somewhere on the coupon. If you have a coupon that WAGS is claiming to be a manu cpn but it is missing the name and address of the manu for redemptionon-PLEASE email that company and let them know about the coupon and the fact that their name and address for redemption is missing. I think WAGS will eventually either pay a settlement fee for these coupons to the manu or be sued by the manu for fraud.

        • Mary

Thanks!  I just pulled out the booklet and looked at it.  All of the coupons start with a 5 and say manufacturer, but they do not have names or addresses for redemption.  These are al in the Answers at Walgreens: Vitamins and Supplements booklet.

    • tina

no problem glad i can help it has taken me about 3 months to get the whole wag thing down

    • Kcraves

I just visited my favorite Wal-Greens, but their coupon machine was not working. So the manager deducted the registar rewards I would have gotten off the first order.

Pro Glide- 9.99 ($4 in rr)
      Colgate- 6.00 (2) ($2 in rr)
      total- $17.49 with tax
      coupons used:
      $4 off pro glide
      .75 (2) off colgate
      $6 in RR
      total- $5.49 with tax.

I still spent the same amount with both orders. They are always friendly and nice.

      • Shaz

how did you use your rr without filler items?they wouldn't let me today.also i had a raincheck with a $1 off coupon that they wouldn't let me use because they said it was already free.has anyone had this problem?help please :)

i visited walgreens yesterday and my rr for the oscar meyers hotdogs didn't, print asked manager and she said there was nothing she could do… is the month long deal regional?

      • Jenny

i went to walgreens today and my rr for my smart rinse did not print out. i hated that!

        • Nancino89

How did you get it fixed, if at all???

    • Candi

Not a single walgreens within several miles has any listerine smart rinse (once again.) This is is the second time the sale was advertised w/in months of each other and I cannot find a single smart rinse. Does anyone else have this problem?

      • Tina

        Same problem…very frustrating!

Quick Question: On the ban deoderant it says $1.49 with in ad coupon. If I'm going to buy four sticks of deoderant do I have to four of the in ad coupons. My other question is that with the $1 off coupon and the in ad coupon together, will I have to get fillers or does the in ad coupon not count against the total used. I'm sure I confused everyone

      • Yvonne

        (1) store coupon will cover all 4 deodorants and you don't need any fillers b/c store coupons don't count towards the total of coupons used. Hope that helps!!

Do you really have to wait until Saturday for Transaction #2??? Everything is on sale now?

      • fabulosity

The Keri lotion sale price is only good on Saturday!

        • Tcollins0227

WRONG!!!!   I just got back from 2 Walgreens stores only to find all the Keri lotion gone. there was a tag advertising the deal and has been there all week. When I asked about this, I was told it was not limited to Saturday only!  I told them their ad was misleading and was false advertisement.  I have a call in to the customer service line about this.  I am VERY, VERY upset with Walgreens over this.  Depending on the response I get from them, they may loose my business!

    • Rncouponging

I haven't done much couponing at Walgreens, so I have a question…in this weeks ad there is a walgreens coupon for palmolive dish soap, it says limit 3 on the coupon. Do I need to have 3 of the in-ad coupons to get the sale price on the 3 items or will the one coupon cover the 3 items? thanks!

      • Tasheppard

You only need the one Walgreens coupon to cover the 3 products.

    • BoxerMom

Heads up, Walgreens just marked down just about all of the dayquil nightquil stuff because P&G is changing the  packaging on all of it. The prices range from $1.39 to $3.79 (the 2 pk liquids) Not sure if there are coupons out there but i grabbed a couple of them today! Alot of them had 2013 dates so great time to stock up before cold and flu season

      • Angelmj1019

Yea, I noticed them marked down at Publix too.

    • gina

See people like you is what get these stores to apply more rules. I advise to shut your freaking trap and wise up buddy boy. If the store makes the rules it makes the rule. More people complain the more standards they set. So whine whine moan moan call corporate up do more bitching and watch them apply more freaking rules for us couponers to suffer.

Be prepared if you are going to Walgreens this morning to grab some Keri lotion!  the shelves are cleared! (at least in Seneca and Clemson SC)  They have had the sale going all week. Not just today from 10-5  Their ad is very misleading, and I was told that just because it says “Saturdate from 10-5” doesn't mean the sale is only for that day!  I have called customer service to complain about their false advertising and am waiting a reply back.  They may just loose my business over this!!!!!!!   NOT HAPPY AT ALL!

    • StephanieZ

I waited to go to Walgreen's today to take advantage of the Keri lotion extra bucks and also the Organix products extra bucks.  The store manager told me that the trucks did not deliver any Keri lotion to any stores in Louisiana, and there was only two bottles of Organix conditioner and no shampoos.  What a wasted trip.  I have the worst luck with Walgreen's never having anything stocked for sales.   I am about to give up on the store altogether.  :-(
