    • Anonymous

Love it!  :)  However, in my experience, I can never get a balance down to 8 cents like the scenario above.  Since your tax would be more than that on the entire transaction and the RR won’t take if it is used to cover some tax.  It’s really annoying.

      • Flo94

you would need another filler item.

        • Pbannerman

Been reading these posts and can’t seem to figure out what a filler item is and why you need it.

          • Anonymous

You have to have one item per coupon. Register Rewards are considered coupons.

      • Jen

Her 8 cent total is before taxes

    • Kimberlyflem26

It’s so funny how CVS and Walgreens are running an almost identical ad. It doesn’t change my mind that CVS is much better though.

      • The reason I prefer going to walgreens for the deals even if they are at the other stores is the limit at CVS.  I have 3 coupons and CVS only lets me get 1 per week, because of the rewards card.  Walgreens lets me get all 3.

    • Kim

Why won’t the RR print on the Quatro?  How do we know that it will not print?

      • Kimberlyflem26

I’m not sure why but CVS has the same deal. If there is one near you I would recommend going there to get it.

      • Anonymous

It was mentioned on several web sites that the coupon is coded the same/similar as the register reward- thats why it won’t work.  No one was 100% sure though.

        • Anonymous

I’m sure a “coupon friendly” store won’t have any problems trying it to see if it will.

          • Sweetnocent07

Aw that sucks I had my shopping trip planned out already, my store is very cooperative in making sure I get my RR though :)

            • mine is too, and the cashier I usually go to will do the return and re-ring it w/o using the coupons to force the RR if need be so I’m still going to attempt it w/ my $5 off coupons.  ya know, a buck is a buck!  LOL and who ever knows if I will even get 1 newspaper on Sunday morning around here!

        • Twelch576

I have a wonderful cashier at my walgreens who also coupons. I had this problem before when i bought some cereal with a coupon and my rr didn’t print, she called the mgr up and they did something to where my rr would print. Just let your cashier know ahead of time, if you have an experienced one, and they can fix it for you

          • Earthymamablogger

They just have to manually enter it as a generic $5 manufacturer coupon and not actually scan it. Then there will be no interference and the rr will print.

    • Misty

I can’t find the Zarbee’s Cough Medicine coupon with the printable link. Is there a particular zip code we should use? Thanks.

      • Anonymous

Sorry- Zarbee’s coupon is no longer available

    • Amerie_us

Do all the RR print when I buy all those items. For isntance I bought the cough syrup, razors, toothpaste, etc. After paying for it would I get the rr rewards for each one?

      • Flo94

yes you will get a rr for each one but you cant use that same rr you got from the item, for example a cough syrup to get another cough syrup. the rr would’t print out.

    • Kpatcamp

Found a small error…Walgreens omeprazole is $19.99 – $6RR which = $13.  Thank you for all you do Jenny!!

      • Anonymous

        You mean 13.99 (not 13)

    • Only_Me

      I have a ton of RR’s expiring Sunday! I’m so glad it’s a good week :)

    • zebby

I wish walgreens would come up with a better system to cut down on the shelf clearers.   I like cvs because they have limits per card.  I tried walgreens a couple times, but I have learned not to get my hopes up on getting any of their good deals because they are already out early sunday morning.

      • Fallaya

I think the problem is that Walgreens doesn’t carry enough sales stock!  At my local store, they usually run out of advertised sales items by Monday afternoon because THEY don’t order enough stuff.  I pretty much avoid Wags as much as possible.  I also don’t like the whole “gotta have a filler” crud.

      • Anonymous

In Sumter, all the Wags are usually out of some of the Rr items by Sunday at 1PM. If I don’t go early, before church, all of the good deals are gone. They just do not carry enough stock.

    • Taff

I always leave the store with my RR’s and save them to start off next week’s deals.., on the rare occasion I skip a week..they carry over for another week before they have to be spent. CVS has a much more generous time limit on their ECBs plus they allow you to spend them up to two weeks after expiration date..wish Walgreens would too, but I’ve never missed the deadline ..yet.

One thing I do to keep coupons and rewards for each store separate..I ask at publix for lottery holders, which are free, and keep one for each store..I don’t like carrying my file around and found this works really well.

      • barbara b

wish our cvs would do this-longview,tx-would not take it-one day over!!!  I find wlg better-but I do try not to let them expire but use to get more rr

      • Angelascoupons1

Harris Teeter will take RRs, if you have that store in your area.  That is always my back up plan in case I don’t see any deals I want to do at Walgreens the next week.  However, I’m a little miffed at all the bad press always given to Walgreens’ expiration dates.  I honestly don’t find this to be a huge problem.  With a family of four, I can always find ways to use them before they expire.  On the flip side, even though I do CVS deals weekly, I am typically NOT hanging on to ECBs for weeks – hence the extra time they give me to use them is really irrelevant.

I wish everyone would not focus on this expiration thing so much….I think 2-3 weeks is typically plenty of time for most folks to find SOMETHING they need at Walgreens to use up the RRs.  Sorry…off my soapbox now!  Have a good rest of the morning, everyone!

        • Carol_R

The problem with the Walgreens register rewards is not so much the expiration date which is comparable to the Rite Aid’s UP rewards but that it is very hard to use the Walgreen’s register rewards for their full value. Having filler items or buying products you don’t want is wasteful and reduces the value of them. Also, not being able to use them on when buy a product from the same manufacturer like P&G is another big hassle since you won’t get register rewards then for that deal.

          • Scrappingramma5

i believe you just can not use it to get the same deal and get another RR for same promo..

        • Nita Royal

Just a heads up that some HT’s have stopped taking RRs.  Mine stopped a few months ago…..bummer

    • Guest

I usually avoid walgreens, but recently went for the first time in several months. I’m just now noticing that my RR’s I got expired TODAY! wow, that was only 2-3 weeks from when I got them at the most. My cvs ones that I got BEFORE those expire mid october! I know a lot of cvs stores can be flexible with the expiration date but what about walgreens? They seem to be the store with the strictest policies so I wasn’t sure if they would take them tomorrow, 1 day late?

      • Karen

Last week I noticed mine were expiring so I called and talked to the manager.  He said this time they would take care of me but in the future to keep a watch on the date. Get the manager’s name so when you go in you can tell that to the cashier at the check out. But they will probably still verify it.

        • TLF

A manager at Walgreens near me said that if the store takes an expired RR,  the store itself loses the money,  but if the customer redeems the RR BEFORE the expiration date,  the store gets reimbursed.  So the Walgreens near me will never accept expired RR.

      • Teri

They took mine once before. I didn’t say anything about the expiration date and the register didn’t beep. It had expired a week and a day before I used it.

      • Firstbrownie

RR are manufacture coupons; they can’t take them after expiration because they won’t be reimbursed. I do agree, though, that the expiration date comes way too soon (that is something I wish Wag’s would change).

    • Celia

how do you access the zarbee’s cough medicine ? i couldnt get to it

    • Ms. Susan here, Senior Beauty Advisor for West Columbia Walgreens on Augusta Road. I talked to a cosmetics cashier yesterday and she had no idea how to get on the home mailer list! Wish I was near your store.

        • Its usually a box, with the forms attatched, located at the photo dept in most stores but i moved it at my store so i can be sure to ask every customer if they would like to be on the list. MOST PEOPLE SAY THEY HAVE BEEN WONDERING HOW TO GET ON IT, AND ARE GLAD I OFFERED IT. When we have Saturdates at or store, we put it on the Saturdate table so people can fill the form out there as well as see the Satudate deals we have.

          • bre

could you sign me up for it? all the walgreens near me say they have no idea what im even talking about.. ? i would greatly appreciate and could send you my info.

            • Anonymous

i stuck my information in the box but i dont think the store even empties it i will say something to them when i got today hopefully lots of us will get taken care of then

    • toni

what other stores would take Walgreens RR?

      • Ashley

Publix and Bilo.  They have been taking them for like two years now.  If they get weird, just point out that it says manufacturer coupon at the top and it will ring right in their registers.

        • beingjennifer

My Bilo will only take it with a bar code, so those should be okay.

      • Anonymous

harris teeter and lowes foods does

      • Kim

It really depends on the stores in your area.  People will tell you because they’ve tried at their store(s), but not necessarily that you’ll be able to (depends on location/stores).  I’ve asked (2) HT where I shop if they take them and they don’t.  Call them and ask is a safer bet.

    • Ms. Susan here, Senior Beauty Advisor for West Columbia Walgreens on Augusta Road.  I ordered, Lots of the, Colgate Optic White Toothpaste, the Remington King Razors, Walgreens Maxi Pads,  Gillette Fusion Proglide, Venus Embrace, and Proglide Razors. Could you clear up something? Are the cpns in the  WAGS Vitamen and Supplements mfg or wags cpns?

        • Ladybugpam

they start w/a 5, therefore they are a manufacturer’s coupon.  That is how you tell the difference between a store coupon and a manufacturer’s coupon.  So if a wags employee is telling you that their store coupons are manu q’s and the coupon they are referring to DOES NOT start w/a 5, then you know they are wrong/misinformed.

        • The manager said today even if the walgreens coupons have maufacturer wrote on them you can still stack regular coupons with it for extra saveings.

      • HALREL

I wish the Walgreens in my area would stock up.  Every time there is a free deal at  Walgreens they are gone by Sun. afternoon.  I am in NC.

$5 RR WYB (2) Jergens or Curel Moisturizers, Which size of the Jergens do you have to buy??? Anyone know its not advertise at my store…..Thank You

    • Annakoby

Tried to use a coupon from the Answers at Walgreens: Vitamins & Supplements booklet last week along with a manu coupon and was told that those in the booklet are considered manu coupons (it does say so on the fine print at the bottom) not Wags coupons even though they have the Wags logo on them.  Just a word of warning.

      • Shopaholic_704

I believe that most cashiers dont have a clear understanding of their store coupon policy. Most will tell you any nonsense to fishish off with you…so…get a printed policy for each store in question or call ahead of time and ask a manager , any quetions in regards to couponing that you might have.

        • Anonymous

I agree. I was talking with an associate at Office Depot today about the worklife rewards program and while she was nice, she told me several incorrect things about the program – like you get the reward money back every month — it actually is every quarter and that it doesn’t have to been used at office depot, which it does, but another associate seemed to think I could use it for gift cards?  Also, she said that there was no minimum amount, but actually you have to earn $10 in rewards before you get anything per quarter.

          • Shopaholic_704

Wish everyone would get on the same page…it is frustrating for the customer…I have a perfect example…I purchased two bottle of vitamins at BOG half off…I wanted to apply a $2 to each bottle and the cashier handed me back one coupon telling me that COUPON states one per purchase…but what this really means according to my research is that you must present a coupon for each item, you can not use one coupon on both…so he was supposed to discount for both bottles but only did one…AGAIN….cashiers are not educated about their own store policy…I think that store managers should make their cashiers study coupon policy so that they can all be on the same page…After all the only one missing out at the end store because it turns down money (when turning down customrer’s coupons) that they in turn can redeem from the manufacturer.

      • Scrappingramma5

Several store mangers have told me they can not take even their ivc coupons because of the same bs! I emailed wag corp and was told they are manufacturer coupons. Now I need to call and talk to someone.Because as I wrote back …you did not answer the question as to can this be used with a manufacture coupon??? I was told yesterday by a manager that we are only suppose to use 1 manufacturer coupon per purchase. When I stated that means per item he said no it is not but i will do it this time and apparently there is a new coupon policy coming out…any one else here about this yet?? I want to pull my hair out some days…actually theres but that would be illegal and we dont do illegal…we do legitimate…LOL
oh and the day I was trying to use the ivc q for a B1G1 and a man Q,I said your ad encourages people to use IVC’s and man Q. She said unless it was specifically advertised for that item she could not honor it. So I lost out on saving a substantial amount. I think another $20.. I was so mad I should have told her to take them off but I was so flustered I just left. She did give me my daughter in laws family discount which helped (but I was not expecting that) and another reason I left as I didnt want to embarrass my DIL. I am sure her boss had a few words about me…lol

      • Jalavergne

        YEP…I had the same problem!!!

    • seriously… a .50c RR?? … looks like a great week for razors and cold meds though!

      • Anonymous

    • Mom2adalinenlandon

How come when I went to Walgreens the other day, they wouldn’t take a coupon that was sticking on their product?  It was 2 days expired and CVS did it before.

      • Czalinsky

        becuz it was expired

      • Kristen

That’s lame. I was buying lightbulbs or something at Rite Aid to burn up my RR and there was an expired coupon on the product. I told the cashier it was expired and he said it didn’t matter and scanned it anyway. I think Walgreens is probably just crappy like that. :(

    • Jo

Can I use my Register Rewards from Walgreens at Bi-Lo’s and Lowes Foods and Kroger and Harris Teeter????

      • Amy

I can at the store in Travelers Rest, SC. Makes me get more of the RR deals that I normally wouldn’t get.

      • Czalinsky

At Bi-Lo, Yes…. well at least at mine yes

it wasn’t working when they scanned it at publix so the lady give it to me ny ways. i heard that it was a type o by schick but if u have them then they should still take them

    • Is the $6RR only going to be on Saturday? I saw the sneak peak and it on an ad for “Satur-date” at a certain time.. Just wanted to get this cleared up?

      • Amanda

I just called my walgreens and they said that the sale is all week but there is suppose to be a special coupon/deal on that day during those times.  I spoke with the store manager and so that should be right.

      • Ktavolley03

it worked today for the colgate.  also used 2  $1.50 coupons and the RR printed fine.

    • Minnie

I just got done shopping this week’s sales at the 24 hr. Walgreens.  The $5 printable coupon for the Schick Quattro razor (both the men’s and women’s razor) DID work and the RR printed out without any problems at all.

    • Anonymous

beware-count your rr’s -some are not printing. I only caught it because I knew I was to recieve 5 rr’s and only got 3.

      • April

I’ve had this issue for a while now…I have learned to count each time!! :0)

    • Every thing worked out fine with the $5 coupon on the Razor Schick Quattro. I did get my $5 RR back..

    • Joc41687

I can’t print the Re-nu coupon. Does anyone know where I can find it? It keeps sayings there are no print campaigns.

      • Lindsay S.

It means there’s no more…I got one and then later went to print another and they’re all gone!

    • Stefanie O.

Hi All – Walgreens trip went well today.  The RR is printing for the Schick razors if you use the $5 off printable coupon.  One snafu for the Theraflu…I bought one packet of tea drinks and 1 caplets and the RR did not print.  The manager tried to tell me it was because I used coupons but then we figured out it was because you need to buy 2 identical items.  I’m not sure if this was mentioned already but I figured I would save someone the hassle of having to return and re-buy.  Happy Shopping!  :)

      • kristi

I bought 2 identical boxes and it did not print either.  I was told on the theraflu deal you could use coupons but your total has to be 10 AFTER coupons. So you would need to buy 4 boxes instead of 2.  They told me they could refund me but would not give me back my coupons to repurchase.  Thats walgreens for you- the worst customer service!

        • Janetledford

I had the same problem with the RR not printing for the theraflu. I have a great manager and he forced a $5 RR for me. Anyone else having any luck with this?

          • Ktavolley03

I bought 2 identical one with (2) $2 off coupons, RR did not print :(  Manager refunded me, and said that with medicine items, the total has to be the amount after coupons.  Anyone else heard that??

            • Anonymous

Yes, I was told that earlier today. I only intended on purchasing two Theraflu products, but the cashier said that the rr’s would only print if I purchased two additional theraflu’s (which added $10 more to the total). Because I’m very new and inexperienced with WAGS I agreed. After seeing all of these comments, I’m going to take mine back and see if they will ring it up again because I’ve been told that you should only spend $10 before coupons and the rr’s will print.

          • Jules

Yes, my Wag’s manager just scanned one box of the Theraflu and refunded it, giving me the $5 in cash. I do have to say, my Walgreen’s manangers have been extra nice and friendly and very helpful every time I go in.

        • Margoren

          Hey everyone,
The Theraflu with Lipton RR is not printing because it’s not in their system; it was a mistake on their part. It maters not if you use coupons or not, if you buy 2, 3 or 4, or if you buy 2 different kinds or the same kind. The manager at my store tried it all, until he got to the conclusion that the Lipton kind was not put in the system. The caplets are working for sure and I used 2 x $2.00 coupons. Because I had been to another Walgreens to buy the caplets I told the manager that those did worked, so he scanned them and gave me the $5 RR that printed.
          Hope this helps!

        • Angelascoupons1

I had the same thing where the RR did not print.  However, my Walgreens gave me a form I could fill out and send in to corporate with my receipt.  They assured me that I would get a $5 RR in the mail.  I’m still not sure why it didn’t print…I have used many coupons in conjunction with RR deals, so the notion that you have to spend $10 BEFORE coupons does not seem valid.

        • Lori P :)

How can they tell you that you can’t have your coupons back??  The money, plus the coupons is how you paid for the item.  If they get the item back, you should get EVERYTHING back that you used to pay for it.  Basically, they are getting to keep your coupons and send them in for reimbursement on an item you didn’t even buy.

    • Anonymous

Nice find-if you buy the Zarbee’s!! I had a 1.00 off coupon inside of the pkg!

      • darsheay19

Thanks I  I have one to

    • darsheay19

This morning at Walgreens I got the Theraflu free I used (2 ) 2 dollars coupon and (2) 3dollars peelies off the boxs. They are 2 for $10.00  Wow oh happy : )

      • Guest

you are not suppose to use to manufacturer coupon for one item

      • Tiff715

did you check the coupon? The ones on the boxes I saw was $3/2

    • Rosey4u8

Now I remember why i have not gone to walgreens in a while.
      My scenario
Men Shick quattro…8.99-5men q= rr did not print
      Theraflu 2 sever…10-4in q=rr did not print
zummenee cough me 5.99=6 rr printed :)
wags pads2=2 rr printed plus a .50cent q for wags pad.

I was going to return the items that didnt print rr but the manager gave me the rr in gift cards. But it was such a hassle.

      • Just4yall

It was posted that the RR would not print if you used the $5 q for Shick Quattro. You meeded to use the $4 coupon in todays newspaper.

        • Anonymous

I used the $5 off Schick Quattro Women coupon and my RR still printed.

          • Sam

            Me too. No problem.

          • Kaninekeeper

I didn’t see the info about not using the $5 off printable, until I’d already tried to use it.  Had a VERY courteous cashier, so I ended up just not making a big deal about it.  But I don’t understand why it didn’t print.  Can you explain?  Thank you!!

            • Anonymous

I really am not sure why your’s did not print. I was hesitant about using mine until I read that someone else had successfully used theirs. I’m thinking you can call the catalina company. I’d probably try exchanging it first. Explain that you were trying to get the one with an RR but it did not print. Hopefully it will work out.

        • Ana

I didn’t try to use the $5 Q on the Quattro REFILL, but on the RAZORS it will print the the RR. I used the $4Q for the refills and the $5 for the actual razor, both printed fine.

    • Margoren

My Wags gave me a form to fill out and send to corporate with my receipt in order to get the $5 RRs.  I would have preferred that they give me a $5 Wags gift card (like another poster got), but this is the next best thing.

I did the Theraflu deal, as many of you have already, and used the 2/$2 q’s, but the cashier told me I couldn’t get the rr’s unless I spent $10 after coupons which meant that I had to purchase 2 more (or 4 total). Because I was already baffled from previous purchases, I took her word and just purchased the extra two. Now that I’ve had a few hours to think about it, I’m wondering if this was correct, and if not can the items be returned? Would this be totally confusing to try to explain to a cashier? I just feel like I spent extra money that I shouldn’t have (especially since Jenny had it listed only purchasing two). Thanks!

      • Lori P. :)

Your total must equal the required amount BEFORE coupons are applied.  I had one my favorite Walgreens ladies tell me the same thing a few weeks ago with the P&G Buy $30/Get $10 back deal.    I simply said, Can we just try it and see if it works?  So she tried it and the deal worked even though after coupons, I actually only spent $9.90 or so out of pocket.  I would definitely take it back and ask to be re-rung.

        • Anonymous

Thank you! I will take all of the items back and ask them to ring it up again, and see what happens. It appears many people are having issues regarding this. I guess I should get out their policy, and see what it says. If they refuse to ring it up again, would it be unethical to return the 2 additional items that I was required to purchase in order to get the rr’s? I suppose I could go to another store, but the next closest Wags to me is about forty miles…………Any advice?

      • Anonymous

This was incorrect. Many employees make up nutty things because they do not understand nor have the aptitude to learn.  The register only reads the scanned item purchased with the right UPC and that is it-the system clicks with the right  upc codes and RR will print REGARDLESS of form of payment wether cash, credit, or coupons.

Interestingly, if let’s say, cashier changed the price on Optic TP down to 5 pennies, RR will still print because the right upc would have been scanned for the system to recognize the sale.

    • Christi

bought the optic white toothpaste x 2 , no 6$ RR’s Rats!!! However Theraflu deal worked for me

      • Anonymous

My ad said that this deal is this Sat only between maybe 11AM and 5PM

        • Couponeagle11

          mine worked just fine

          • Jennifer Hollar

Worked for me too with no issues.

            • Latonya

Mine worked fine too with no problems. I purchased two boxes of Therflu warming relief and used 2-$2.00 off coupons plus used register rewards from last. I recieved a $5.00 RR back.

      • Ktavolley03

mine worked today, should not be just on saturday

    • Hopperjr14

I can confirm the Theraflu + Lipton does not produce a RR, but purchasing any 2 other Theraflu varieties will. So use the $3/2 any variety coupons with the non-lipton choices.

    • Doctordj

I got the Theraflu wrming caplets using two $2 off coups and got the RR no prob. Also used the newspaper schick Quattro coup to get the RR no prob and the Optic white toothpaste x 2. One of my best trips at Wags in weeks! Loved the free remington 5blade razors!

    • Anonymous

There’s $.50 peelies on some packages of w maxis. After the first purchase, another $.50 off RR will print along with the $2 RR. I hope it’s a good product because I have three packages and plan on getting more.

Everything was in stock except for the Colgate white tp. All in all, not a bad trip, but did end up spending over an hour in the store trying to work the deals.

      • Couponeagle11

my wags took the combo pack of two count of colgate tp and the register reward printed on the two,. They opened the packages and i didnt even ask them to do it. He said they want to sell the products and make the customers happy how great.

        • ANA

DID YOU USE TWO $1.50 COUPONS OR JUST ONE?

    • Trussell68

This Theraflu deal won’t work.  I tried this deal twice today.  The first time the RR didn’t print and the manager couldn’t explain why and refused to print one so I left and went to another store.  At the second store the RR wouldn’t print either.  The manager there explained that you couldn’t buy 2 for $10 and use any coupons because the ad stated you have to spend $10 the get the RR.  She said their policy changed over the summer and you have to spend $10 after all coupons. Bummer……….

      • Khgrind

Same thing happened at my Walgreens today too!

        • Couponeagle11

must be like items not two different kinds of that brand

          • ashprav

same thing happened to me ..was dissappointed as my RR didnt print ..had to void the transaction by getting my coupons back..:(

          • Phonebookqueen

I bought two different kinds of theraful and it worked for me

      • Anonymous

Same situation here……Any idea how to get clarification regarding this matter? It appears that it works at some stores and not others.

        • Felicia

What the Customer Service line told me was that the product is new in their system and for some reason they cannot get the UPC code to link in the systems to trigger the rewards. She did tell me however that if you purchase the Lipton Theraflu and it does not print your RR then call them (1-800-925-4733 option 4) and mail them a copy of the receipt and they will send you a RR in the mail.

        • Ali

You can use the RR just not the ones from the same company as the items you are purchasing. IE Unileaver and be used on P&G but not on another Unileaver product purchase.

      • Happy Couponer

I did the Theraflu deal and bought two boxes 24 ct Theraflu Warming
Relief Caplets (not pictured in the weekly ad but had a tag saying it
was participating w/RR hanging on the shelf). Used 2x MQs for $2 each
making the total $6 and my $5 RR DID print without any problems.

        • Ana

Same here. I did the same thing as Happy Couponer: bought the CAPLETS, used 2 $2off and the RR printed.

    • Tigersden1

My husband went to Walgreens today. The cashier told him there is now a new coupon policy and you can’t use RR on a transaction that RR will print or they won’t print. Anyone else heard this?

      • she was told wrong, you will be surprised what some cashiers will say…The only time a RR will not print is if you use a RR from the same Manf. to pay for it…

      • Couponeagle11

that cashier wasnt coupon friendly and dead wrong. I went into walgreens today and had 5 small transaction and a couple needed fillers. I was buying some candy we dont need and the cashier said lets use all the coupons first and then if it beeps we can add the candy and it turn out i only had to buy 3 filler items total where i thought i had to buy 5. she never complained about the transactions or coupons and her manager even said its money in your pocket and we get reimbursed for it and even told me he just read how many coupons were redeemed at wags only last year and the amount they included i had to call the 1-800 to give them all tens. call corporate and speak your mind they need to know whats going on. I had this happen at publix in town and i never go to that location nemore.

      • Felicia

When I called Customer Service today they told me the same thing.

      • Anonymous

She was partly right, call Customer Service and they will reaffirm. You CANNOT use RR from a company (Ex: Unilever) to pay for another item from the same company that will generate RR’s. So you cannot use earned P&G RR to pay for P&G items and so on. You CAN, however, use RR’s to pay for other items generating RR’s, just as long as they are form different companies.

    • Shannon Cunningham

What zip code did you use to get the Zarbee coupon?  Are they all gone?

      • Jules

Inside the Zarbee box there is a $1 coupon. I found that when I got home. I couldn’t find it to print out either before I left for the store.

    • Felicia

I wish I had continued reading everyone’s post to find out about the Theraflu BEFORE the headache I just went through. The first Walgreens I went to my RR wouldn’t print. The cashier told me it was because I was purchasing the wrong items. I walked with her back to the spot where the signing was clear those items were included and I also showed her a copy of the add where it was stated they were included. She then called a manager who came over to tell me that I cannot use ANY coupons to get the RR or I needed to purchase more to spend the $10. She then looked at my coupons (which for some reason sometimes don’t print the numbers under the UPC bar code) and told me that she shouldn’t be taking them anyways that they were invalid and that she was not going to honor the RR. I made her refund everything and left. I called the customer service line and spoke to a lady who was more than happy to help me and explain the problem. If you purchase 2 of the 24 capsules then it should work which it did perfectly. I took my receipts back to the original Walgreens to show them that we were both in error and explained to the manager the PROPER reasoning to tell people why they didn’t receive their RR. She then replied with my favorite response of the evening “Oh I knew that already.” WTF!!!

If you live in the Winter Park, FL area do not go to the Howell Branch & Lake Howell Lane store, the lady who works at the cosmetics counter didn’t even know how to scan a coupon and the management there sucks. Not to mention they are almost ALWAYS out of stock…

      • Corey

Thanks for the tip.  That’s actually my Walgreens but I was out of town this weekend and went to a different one.  I was just planning to go there though to get the Theraflu.  I guess not!

    • Whammy84

      Brita Pitcher is $10 – $5 coupon = $5, then submit for $10 mail-in rebate = $5 profit

      • Lzbacnik

Where did you get the $ 5.00 coupon? thanks

    • Amanda03910

      My Walgreens Shopping trip Spe
This was My first time really shopping like this at Walgreens, so I did take a little longer than someone who has been doing it for a while would take, but the Cashier (the woman at the cosmetics counter) was VERY helpful, and extremely patient. I am in Riverview Florida, and shopped atthe Walgreens on Big Bend, if you get a chance to shop at this walgreens, I would recomend it, the staff is friendly and the management is awesome :)

Just thought I’d share. I am used to cashiers who HATE dealing with me because i am using a ton of coupons, but this was not the case at Walgreens.

      Spent $34 Saved $155

3 Packs Of Pads, 4 Tubes of Colgate Optic White, 1 Big Box Of Pampers, 1 Pampers Wipes, 3 Packs of Zarbees Cold & Cough Drink, 2 Packs Of Schick Disposable Razors (WalMart), 2 Schick Titanium Razors with 5 Cartridges Each!!!, 3 Schick Quatro For Women Refils, 4 Remington Razors With 3 Cartridges Each!!, About 20 Small Halloween Cups, a Mr. Good Bar and 2 Balance Bars.

      • JustJenn

I have found that in WAGS using the cashier at the cosmetics counter always pays off.  We are now friends and she will even save some good deals and coupons for me.  Always use the cosmetics counter for another reason, there is usually no line!

      • Anonymous

Remington Razors are not many in stock to start with. Please consider next time to leave some for others. They usually do not restock RR items for that week because of their limited budgets to print RR on specified number of sold items.

    • Audioskill

Why should you always spend the Register Rewards on the same day?

      • Angelascoupons1

RRs don’t have as long an expiration date as CVS’s ECBs….usually only 2-3 weeks, hence many say spend them all.  However, I think it depends if you can typically find something to use them on in Wags (which I can) and if you live near a grocery store that will accept them as manufacturer coupons (Harris Teeter does).  The latter is one of the benefits, to me, over the ECBs…ECBs cannot be used anywhere besides CVS.

        • Audioskill

Thanks! Going to try Walgreens for the first time this week.

    • Luda_72003

Theraflu deal really worked for me today! I only paid $1.00+tax. for 2 bottles after 2($2.00 ) coupons and $5.00 RR. I am so happy! Thank you Jenny!!!

    • Michelle

Went to purchase balance bars today and was buying my last one, so just decided to pay for it with the previous RR that printed out from the balance bar because I didn’t care if I got another RR.  Lo and behold, the RR printed out even though I’d paid for the balance bar with a balance bar RR!!  So, I went and got more and let it roll!  Not sure if this was a glitch or not but I wasn’t complaining!  The cashier was surprised!  LOL!  So, you might try it and see if it works!

      • Jmgregory_99

didn’t work for me in Wilmington, NC

      • Ssnracine

Dont bother buying them i ate one and wanted to spit out the first ite, they taste terrible.

      • Michelle

Nevermind…they have figured it out and it won’t work anymore.  I agree with the taste, however, my son who runs cross country likes them enough so he takes them to meets with him and eats them in the mornings after his run. However, I think they’re pretty gross too.  :-)

    • Redsparkler05

Does Wags have a new policy?  I’m reading here about everyone having trouble with theraflu and I had the same issue when I was buying diapers last night.  I bought a box of pampers (19.99) and two packs of wipes (5.99 each) and I had a $3.00 off coupon and a $2.00 off coupon(baby book, they would only let me use it once).  Then I paid with RR from previous purchases.  My total came to $17.00, I paid and no RR printed.  Got manager involved and they told me total had to be $25 after coupons.  I went to two different stores and was told the sale thing!

      • Dharvn

maybe your previous RRs were from the same manufacturer.  an RR from buying Crest (for example) will prevent a Pampers RR from printing.

      • Jane S

I had problem the last time this deal occurred. The problem is the Walgreen baby book coupon is really not considered a coupon for the pampers deal but a sales price after the coupon. I worked through catalina previously and this is whwat they told me and that I was out of luck. Therefore, you have to hit $25.00 before your true mfr coupons (no walgreens coupons). The individual who puts this deal on Southern savers get it wrong every time by including it..

    • J. Jenkins

      1.  There are 0.55 peelies on some of the Dr. Pepper 2-ltr. bottle in my store (central KY).

      2.  Through 10/29, if you are an AARP member and purchase over $20 in one transaction, you’ll get $5 in RR.

    • Veronica

I had a great Walgreen’s trip Sunday for a change!  It seems the coupon insert hogs/shelf clearers that have been making my life miserable for the past couple months have basically been banned from Walgreen’s (LOLing at that!!) b/c they were buying the items and clearing the shelves and reselling them at the local stock yard and according to one of the cashiers a couple of Walgreen’s employees busted them at it and reported them.  They were the same folks apparently that were getting ALL the papers in town as soon as they were put in the boxes so this week I actually got inserts and was able to get the good deals, too. Banner week for me!

      Anyway….

Got there early and actually got 3 of the Schick Quattros (that’s all they had left but that was all they had on Saturday when I went in, too) and 3 of the Remington’s, 4 Theraflus, 2 of the Zarbee’s, 9 cans of the tomato sauce, 4 bags of the Domino’s sugar, some cool halloween pencils and cups, the haribo gummy bears, 2 of the Aquafresh toothpastes, some Cottonelle TP and the brach’s candies… all in all, well over $100 of product for $23 including tax.

I did run into the issue w/ the Theraflu powder not wanting to print the RR, but the cashier returned and re-rang the flavor that has the mostly green picture and it printed it.  The other kind (lipton logo on it) is also pictured on the ad and tagged on the shelf for the RR but for some reason it would not print.  Had no issue using the $5 printable coupons for the Quattros, the RR’s printed just fine.

      • Margoren

The Walgreens in my area now have a sign on ALL free products and some of the really good deals that says “LIMIT 1 PER CUSTOMER”. Since they started this I can always find all the good deals, even if I go later during the day.

      • Coupons4knights

Glad you got some good deals but since Wags seems to keep such low stock, did YOU clear the shelf buying 4 bags of sugar, 4 Theraflus, etc???

        • the only thing I got “all” of was the one schick quattro, and that’s only because it was the only one there.  We are a family of 6, so I really don’t think I went overboard buying the number of items that I did.

      • Anonymous

lol !  3, 4, 9, and again 4 of that and that and on……….  I always say, those who complain and scapegoat others are themselves part of the problem. I see proof of it so often………..

        • Em

The way I justify getting more than 1 deal per item is going on Sunday morning to make my purchase (if the items are available). I only do one transaction. If I do go back for another RR item, I wait until Saturday afternoon/evening. I figure that way,  I’m giving other customers to get the deals(s) as well. If there’s stock left on Saturday afternoon, it doesn’t seem so “wrong” to me to purchase a second round of deals. Am I right in my logic, or is it still just plain greedy to get more than 1 per deal?

          • Anonymous

You will need to use your judgement. In WAGS I go to, there are always so many colgate tp on shelves as if noone cares to buy them anymore even if they come down to “free” So you can go ahead and buy multiple if you need them (also remember tps also have expiration dates I believe)

In case of Remington razor, for example, you may not find many, so one should do it for you. Besides, why anyone would buy so much when you still be out of cash for paying taxes and most those items have no resale value

        • really… 9 tiny cans of tomato sauce is hoarding???  That’s not even one pot of spaghetti sauce :P

      • Anonymous

Glad to see you finally got your fair share of things!!!

    • Jmgregory_99

I had an issue with the Colgate 360 RR not printing.  I was trying to get the deal listed under October month long deals listed above.  Not all 360 products are included and you have to buy 2 to get $6 RR.  The store personel were very helpful and actually rang up three different transactions to get the RR to print.  He said he was grateful to know the issue and how to fix it going forward.

      • Jmgregory_99

        It was on the toothbrushes.

        • Sldove11

Which toothbrushes did you get the RR for?  The Sensitive pro relief 360 or the Optic White 360? and did you use a 75Q or 1Q  thanks!

          • Jmgregory_99

Optic White 360 on the second trip which did print the RR just fine.  I did use the 75Q.  Had to buy a filler item since I was using 3 coupons. You could get the Balance bar which costs $1.50 and gives back $1.60 RR.

    • Jgutierrez

I had a great! week at Walgreens the cashier helps me with the coupons and products, the manager stayed in the other register until I was done just to make sure he would get other customers, I actually got the wrong items twice he was glad to help. One of the think I got was a glade stared kit they were on sale for $2.50 in the clearance item area and we have a $4 off coupon so I pay nothing for the glade stared kit love Walgreens. (It actually took me several times to try different Walgreens to find a friendly one so don’t get discourage)

    • kelly

I’m new to walgreens.  Do you get RRs on all of like items or just on 1 of them?

      • Anonymous

For RRs you only get one RR per item.  You would have to do separate transactions if you want more of an item in order to get multiple RR

    • DR4Christ7

I had a really bad experience with Wallgreens….Purchased the Theraflu  $5.00 RR, and the Colgate toothpaste and toothbrush $3.00 RR and did not receive ethher reward.  I was told by the Manager, that I would not receive the RR because I used Coupons and I had to spend money per items.  My coupons did not count as money.  I called corpprate office and was told this was a new policy.  I guess I will not be shopping Wallgreens anylonger.  Not worth it.

      • Anonymous

Does your ad say that you wont get it if you used coupons?  Actualy, there are many coupons have been advertised alongside RR deals; so it is hard to comprehend how those employees came to these conclusions.

    • Chris

When I go to Walgreens to cash in on some good buys it never fails, everything is sold out!!!
Not going to bother to waste my time, if they are not going to keep the shelves stocked. Taking my business elsewhere.

I did the TheraFlu deal twice, plus a bunch of other stuff. My WAGS is great, and when I walk in the cosmetic girl always says, “See you in a little while, just tell me when you’re ready.” They know … they know that I will have multiple purchases. And I always go out of my way to be nice, so they are nice too. :-) Today’s bonus for me was that the Huggies deal from last week hadn’t been taken down and I still had some coupons for the Slip-Ons. So I spent about $30 on over $100 worth of stuff. And will be going back for razors with my raincheck Saturday. Feel free to check out my list at 633woman. com. But let me say … I couldn’t live without SouthernSavers. You ladies make things so easy!

    • TCB

I was able to get the RR for the TheraFlu and used my coupons. The cashier was extremely helpful and patient with me because at first I used the wrong TheraFlu coupons (not paying attention). But she waited until I got the right one and told me to take my time since there was no one else waiting. The RR printed with no problems!

    • Diannascoupon

My walgreens flyer indicated that the sale for the Optic White Toothpaste would be Oct. 1st during a “Saturdate with beauty” from 10am to 5pm.  I asked the Manager why there was nothing showing the price and RR and he said I had to come back on Saturday to get this deal which is really awesome, esp. if you have the $1.50 off coupons.  2/$7.98 – 2/$1.50 mfc = $4.98 with $6 RR!!  Anyway, I didn’t know if anyone else found this particular sale to be delayed till saturday?

      • Anonymous

By saturday the stores will be out of the optic white toothpaste. Buy it now-do not wait till saturday

        • Most stores get a new shipment of it in on thursday or friday depending on what State you shop. THAT IS IF THERE BEAUTY ADVISOR ORDERED FOR THERE SATURDATE

        • Meriwhite

all three stores I went to were ALL ready out of it this weekend! I did not hera anything about the delayed sale but the manager at the third store told me to come back on Saturday and she would be restocked for the big “blueberry” event for optic white????

          • Anonymous

My store had pulled them (Saturday before sale started) from the sales floor and are waiting until this Saturday to put them back out.

            • Cstewart29

That’s not right…my store did that with the KeraCare lotion deal a while back.

      • Lisacoupons

I bought the optic white toothpaste on Sunday and received the RR.  I was told by the store manager that the sale runs all week, but on Saturday they usually have extra deals along with the RR.

      • lj

It’s never marked at my store if it’s a Saturdate with Beauty deal.  But you can still go ahead and get the deal, because it’s in the computer already.  I just did the optic white deal last night and I got my rr.  The cool part is I get a discount because I work at the local hospital.  So, they paid me 1.75 to take 2 boxes of toothpaste.  Yay for wags!!

    • Mommie06

I had trouble at walgreens with the Theraflu. I bought 2/10 use 2 $2.00 off coupons and my rewards didn’t print. They said that I had to spend 10 after coupons. That they were no longer printing RR if the total amount spent was not spent. So, basically you can’t ever use coupons anymore to get the RR.

      • Meriwhite

I was told that to. but that is wrong! Try printing out the warming Thereflu cupons and buy the 24ct box. Then they will print.

        • Phonebookqueen

I had the same problem with the 24ct box but the rr will print if you buy the liquid. I had coupons for the 24ct but the manager rung up the liquid after the first time the rr didnt print. The managment at my Walgreens is really nice

      • Ginger

I didn’t have any problem with this and mine rr printed but I didn’t use the 2/1 off one coupon instead I used a $3.00 of 2 because they were out of the lipton flavor one which is what the $2.00 off coupon was for

      • Anonymous

Due to lack of their knowledge, they would quickly pull the trigger on coupons. What you were told was incorrect. Registers work on numbers/programming. And as of now, computer only reads the actual product/price scanned regardless of any form of payment used (coupon is one form of payment).

On a side note, by using some WAGs coupons that work as “price reducers” or “price changer” would thus reduce the total amount and thus your total might fall below 10 in those cases and only then RR wont print.

      • Anonymous

I find it hilarious that they are quick to make up any story when RR do not print.  I did this deal twice with coupons and the RR printed both times.

    • hey everyone.  Just a heads up check your sales flyer on the 42 ct omeprazole.  My flyer has them on sale for 19.99 then a 46 rr to make a total of 13.99.  The list above says 13.99 then the $6 rr making it 7.99.  Still a great deal, but not as good as I thought.  I checked my flyer again when I got home and the store was correct.  Still really excited about my deals today!

3 razors, contact solution, 2 42 ct omeprazole, 2 balance bars.

    • MustangLadyred

The following coupons were not available in the Lynchburg News & Advance paper:-$1 off Balance bar, singles, SS 9/11

The Loreal 360 cleanser is 6.99 with b1g1 50%.  There is also a 2 off  loreal 360 cleanser in the Walgreens October coupon booklet and a $3 off 2 Loreal skincare product Mfg coupon.  This makes it 4.50 when you buy two.
$6.99 – $2 wal cpn = 4.99 + 2.5(half off price) = 7.49 – $3mfg cpn = 4.49..It’s a good price and even better if you have some RRs to use on it.  I had a $3RR and got a hersheys candy (0.59cents) as a filler item so I can use all my coupons so I paied $2.28 for 2 cleansers and a hersheys bar.

hey does anyone what walgreens policy on rainchecks with the rr. my walgreens did not have any of the king of shaves available.  I asked for a raincheck and was told no.  I spoke to a mgr and was told the same thing, they do not give rainchecks for the free items.  I left all the other things I was purchasing after politely explaining to the manager that it was not my fault they did not have any available.  I figured I would ask you guys before I called their corporate office.

      • Its  different at the store I work for, they can give you a raincheck for the sales price only but if you use the raincheck in a different week than the one that gave the rr reward, they tell you that the raincheck is for the sales price only and that you wont recieve the rr reward if you use it some other week.

      • Denise

The Walgreens by me will give you a raincheck for the sale price but no RR.  I asked what was the purpose then.  CVS will give you the sale price and ECB and they never expire.

    • The YES TO line is also B1G1 half off right now…. Some of facial wipes have $3 off coupons on them. So if you get the cucumber ones that usually run $6 each then you can get 2 packs for $3! I am obsessed with these wipes!

      • Yes I love these wipes, one will remove all your makeup and leave your face feeling so great afterwards. A really great product and a great buy and if there isnt a coupon on the packs, the Beauty Advisor should have some for customers if you ask. Everyone that uses these comes back to buy more.

        • Beauty Advisor? Is that the person that works in the beauty department of Walgreens? If so I am going up there right away! :) I’ve never loved a face wipe as much a these…. Although my make-up is a bit heavy so I use 2 at a time…. But only at night when I’m feeling lazy! I go through them rather quickly. So when I can get them that cheap I do!

          • Kate

I love the cucumber wipes! They feel soo good. I work for walgreens as a beauty advisor too, and I know we have some coupons for a dollar off any Yes To products $5.99 and up, and I think we have some for $5.00 off 2 Yes To Blueberry products as well.

            • Thanks for all the info! I had no idea that the Beauty Advisor had coupons like that. Should I check out in the beauty dept. to get them?

            • Kate

Yep! Usually if I get a customer that checks out with me in the beauty dept. I will just look to see if I have any coupons that go with what they’re buying. You can always just ask to speak to a BA and ask them though. The companies will send us coupons sometimes for the saturdates, and usually there’s extra, at least at my store :) HTH!

      • BoxerMom

Just make sure when you store them, store them upside down so the wipes at the top of the package stay moist :) Just a little tip i learned

        • Kate

I never thought to do that with mine!

    • WOO HOO finally got my $2off Charmin coupon from facebook in the mail today!  Can’t wait to go pay .99 for six rolls of charmin…

        When You Buy

    • CaraMel725

I was told at the Walgreens, I could only get one rapid rewards deal per household for the optic white and maxi pads.  I mean if they are free why don’t they just order more??

    • Jmgregory_99

Got over $85 worth of stuff this week for $23 and have $15.60 in register rewards for next weeks deals.  Visited 4 stores over 3 days to get the deals but all were on my way to where I was travelling anyway.

      • Jmgregory_99

My experience at each store was very good with no issues.  Some employees even offered ideas on how to save even more.

    • And8203

Silly question – but when the in ad coupon says limit 3 on an item, do I need 3 ad coupons to get it for that price?

    • I ordered plenty of the razors that are free after rr reward and we still have them right at the cosmetic register, at the West Columbia S.C. Walgreens. Also expecting a shipment of 53 Optic White toothpaste tomarrow after lunch. HOPE THIS HELPS SOME CUSTOMERS. Also i asked the store manager today if walgreens manufacturer coupons worked with reg manufacturer coupons, and he said yes any coupnon thats from walgreens even if it says manufacturer coupon can be used with a regular manufactures coupon. That walgreens coupons just get thrown away after use because there just a promotion walgreens gives to customers, and dont have to be sent anywhere after there used. So you can stack all walgreens coupons.

Did anyone get a register reward for purchasing Schick Quattro For Women Razor System?  When I didn’t get one when I purchased one.  I used the $4 coupon from the Sunday’s paper, and not the $5 printable.

      Thanks

    • Angel921

Does anyone know if their is the Zarbee’s coupon is still available? I can’t seem to find a zipcode with the print available.

      • Jmgregory_99

At the stores I shopped at the Zarbee’s had a $1.00 coupon in the box.

        • Angel921

Thanks! I’ll have to take a look. :)

    • Ms. Susan here, from the West Columbia Walgreens at 2224 Augusta Road. Just wanting to let customers now that we will have lots of the colgate opti white on Saturday for the saturdate table set up at the front entrance, Since we got in a large shipment of it today. So you can buy as many as you like no limit from 10-5

    • stephylow

Register rewards aren’t printing for the pampers deal. The manager told me they are implementing a new coupon policy, and it has to be 25.00 after coupons. :(

      • Jane S

It is not working because catalina does not recognize the Walgreens coupons…..it rings up like a discount not a coupon…therefore it has to be $25.00 BEFORE these nonmanufacturer’s coupons. You can use true mfr no problem

      • Melindareed

Same here, they told me Infant Care coupon for $2 was the reason. They could either not use that coupon or I could add another pampers product to make up for it.  I ended up not getting them…

    • Rcoconut

I live in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and the “$3 RR WYB Colgate Sensitive Pro-Relief Toothpaste, 4 oz, or 360” deal isn’t available.  It’s $5 per tube and no RR.  :(

    • SMART SHOPPER

The $1.50 off optic white toothpaste coupon will work just the same if you use it on the toothbrushes instead. and when you Buy 2 you get the $6.00 register reward makeing it. FREE plus .46cent profit
