free toothpaste

Heads up, Walgreens shoppers!  Coming up in the 8/4 ad you can grab Colgate toothpaste for Free!

I get plenty of emails asking how to get Free toothpaste and the answer is shopping drug stores. If you don’t have the coupon from the newspaper a few weeks ago there is a printable coupon available for 75¢ off. It won’t be free… but 24¢ for a tube of toothpaste isn’t that bad either!

Free Toothpaste

(1) Colgate Total Advanced or Sensitive Whitening Toothpaste, 5.8-6 oz, $3.49
(1) -$1 off Colgate Total, Optic White, Max Fresh or Sensitive toothpaste, 4 oz +, SS 7/28
Total Due: $2.49

Get Back: $2.50 RR, makes it 1¢ Money Maker!

ok this one has me confused. If the toothpaste is 3.49 and you are just using a dollar off coupon, how is it the total due is just .99?

      • Amanda

        Typo…total due would be $2.49

    • lksoni23

Is there a limit to how many RR you can get with this deal?

      • VP22

Not a limit (unless your store has one) but you would have to do one at a time to get the RR.

Do you automatically get the register rewards or do you have to sign up for a walgreens card or something?

      • Jessica

And do the rewards come off your total for that purchase or do you have to use it another time?

        • Jessica

You just have to have a walgreens card & the RR will come automatically! BUT you get them after you pay so its good for your next purchase! That’s why I don’t like to add it up the way she does here cause its confusing, it makes your Out of pocket cost look less, but that’s not really the case! Also the thing about Walgreens is its tricky! You can not turn around and repeat that toothpaste deal again and pay with the RR you got form the last tooth paste deal and get another RR! You have to do separate transactions! Get the toothpaste in one transaction, then do another transaction with a different product (you can pay with your RR from Transaction 1) Then do a 3rd transaction for another toothpaste and another $2 RR! IT takes practice!

I like getting RR but the OOP cost is still alittle much for me I like Real cheap/Free toothpaste! You would be paying $2.49 oop then getting back a $2.50 RR, which at walgreens is not going to work to pay for another tooth paste unless you do different transactions! If you know how to work Walgreens or already have RR from a previous week to lower that OOP cost then this is a great deal! Lucky for me Walgreens was the first store a learned at ONE of the hardest in my opion.
