Here are all the deals in the Walgreens Weekly Ad starting 1/02.  There are a number of free deals so you should have fun this week!  I worked up a scenario at the bottom to get most of the freebies and makes $5 profit.  The best part of the drugstores is the $5 you make you can then use towards anything you need.  We use these to get most paper goods and diapers. (If you are new to Walgreens use the links in the box on the right to learn more).

If you see any other deals or coupons leave a comment below and help others find them.

    • leeann81

      looks like a great week!

      • Amy Q.

If only it weren't at Walgreens! lol

    • Sunshinekappa

Sorry I am an idiot, but what does RR mean??? I am pretty good about couponing at the regular grocery store, but these drug store ones confuse the cheese and rice out of me!

      • Kstonemark

        It means Register Rewards

      • guest

Register Rewards, like extra care bucks at CVS. You can use then on your next purchase.

      • momof4

rr means register rewards kind of like getting money back for your next purchase

      • Amy

Register Rewards. Kind of like a credit for a future purchase.

      • Tiggertodd2

Register rewards, they are coupons that you use on your next order at Walgreens.

      • Weezie2211

Register rewards have a label at the top that says “manufacturer's coupon”. My Publix takes these as cash towards my purchases. You can choose to use them at Walgreens for future purchases also.

        • jobo

do you know of any other stores that accept them besides Walgreens or Publix?

    • Nichols_again

aw man I must have missed the Celsius q :( Oh well…still a good deal

      • busymom2

I could not get the link to show up..:(

      • Dave

no coupon in sight for the Celsius – the video says to logon to the site to get the coupon, but that doesn't seem to work either…. wonder what gives???

    • Nichols_again

Transaction #3, if I only have two of the Vick's Coupons instead of 3 do I still have to get 3 filler items?

      • no, you would only need 2 filler items then (one item for every mfr. coupon you are trying to use)

        • Nichols_again

I swear this is my last question…On the Nyquil Transaction, can you do a Sinex as one of those and still get the same RR…I only have 1 of the -$3 q, but I have a $4 q on any sinex product I thought I may be able to use. I promise I'll get the hang of this soon.

        • Brandie7_10

Jenny for some reason my computer isnt showing any of the tabs to left of the shopping list… is this no longer and feature or is it not working? or is it my computer? Thanks for everything

    • MK

Can you use catalina coupons from other stores at walgreens?

    • Courtney

do you have to have a card for RR?

      • CrazyCouponClipperChris

Nope, you just need to make the purchase of the qualifying item.

        • Courtney

thanks, scared to try walgreens lol

    • Nackle78

The printables for the children's oscillococcinum expire on 12/31 so how could you use both those and the wags coupon (-$5) that comes out Jan 1st?

      • Nackle78

hahaha, ah geez, nevermind. they expire 12/31 alright, of 2012!!!! save away!

    • Courtney

quick question where do you get the walgreens booklet?

      • Ashley

They are generally in the front of the store next to where they keep their ads. You can cut out the coupon or most of the time they just scan it in the booklet so it can be reused. HTH!

      • Bradyfigueroa

If you are talking about the regular monthly booklet, they are usually in a rack with the weekly sales paper. Grab one at the beginning of every month (they will go quickly).

      • sheepishlycouponing

january book is available 1/2/11 when the december book expires!!!

    • nancycrom

Was at my Wags today, they had alot of makeup on clearance. Combined with the B1G1 half off on some brands, Wags q's, and mfr q's, some stuff is free!

    • Laura

The Vicks Dayquil/Nyquil Sinex deal idea listed in the middle of the ad will require you to pay $4, not $0. You will need to buy 5, but can only use 4 Qs (like Jenny has), but instead of owing nothing, you will owe $4 for the one you can't use a Q for.

      • Rachel

good point use a different q for the 5th one like 1 off or something.

      • Hesperides

In the scenario she has a Vicks coupon listed. Nyquil/Dayquil is a Vicks product. So two coupons for 2 each and 1 Vicks equals 5. hth

    • Melissabusby

Can't find the Lean Pkts. Q What zip code is it under?

    • Rachel

Is the omega stuff by focusfactor if so u could use a 10 of 2 making a 10mm and getting two bottles! Also the kids flu stuff expires in 2011 so it is legit and wondering why u r not using the 2 off any q?

      • pat

What is a 10 of 2 that you are talking about? Are there Q's out for this product?

    • Deeznutz

The Celsius coupon has been removed from the Celsius web site for some time now.

    • kastp

is there a coupon for the celsius that works this one dont work

    • Nichols_again

On the Nyquil Transaction, can you do a Sinex product as one of those and still get the same RR…I only have 1 of the -$3 q, but I have a $4 q on any sinex product I thought I may be able to use with that deal

      • tygirl13

Last time wags ran a similar RR the Sinex products were included…so hopefully it is the same story here.

    • Nichols_again

The $3 Huggies q is gone now

      • Srhine85

I don't think the price listed for the Huggies is correct. I think the $6.99 is really $8.99 I could be wrong, but I have never seen them that cheap.

        • Aklholl

Just saw a copy of the ad…6.99 is correct. Wish there were some good Huggies Q's out there. I just ran out of my stockpile from last march.

          • Barbie0482

There is a huggies diaper q for $2.50 on the huggies website

            • Dbaeimers

I was very excited about this coupon! Then I got to Walgreens and they would not take it because the bar code was not right. I was surprised because it was right off the Huggies website. Thanks for the heads up though. :)

    • momof3

I'm new to couponing, and I was just wondering how you know what will be in the ads (CVS and Walgreens, etc.) before they come out…

      • tygirl13

Welcome to the wonderful world of couponing!

Walgreens and CVS both release their ads early, usually the Thursday or so before the ads begin. You can sign up for emails on their websites and have them emailed to you. Also, iheartwags(dot)com and iheartcvs(dot)com usually have the ads for several weeks in advance…not sure how, but she does…

        • Leighann Howell

Sometimes people working for those companies sneak us the preview ads :D You can usually find them on weusecoupons and slickdeals before they're even up on the iheartX websites.

    • Thiamaria

I'm new to this, but this is my plan for the week (by all means- correct me if I'm wrong):
      Buy
      (2) Prilosec OTC 42 ct @ $24.99
      (1) 10cent filler

      Use:
      (2) $3/1 Prilosec from 12/26 P&G insert
      – $3.50 RR (from this week's chex deal)

      Total due: $40.48
Submit for $25 mail in rebate
      total out of pocket- 15.48
Comes out to 2.58 per 14 day course of treatment plus $5 RR

This is definitely within my stock up price for Prilosec! (my hubs uses it a couple times a week)

      • LostinSC

Where do you find the .10 filler items?

        • BoxerMom

I would check the clearance Christmas candy for filler items. They might not be 10cents but cheap enough

          • Sean

The mechanical pencils are 19 cents on sale. That is probably your best bet.

      • Vanessa

Hi, i have been doing this for over a year. If I were you I would atleast use my 3.50 rr's to do transactions 1-3, get all that stuff for free except tax and THEN you would have 11 rr toward your Prilosec. More stuff for less money. Just a thought.

        • Thiamaria

Thanks for the idea Vanessa! I would give it a go- but honestly- shopping is difficult for me w/2 kids in tow. I inevitably mess things up if I try to do anything more complex. Also- I have no need for any of those items. Thank you though for the thought and for helping me to get some cheap deals!

ps- I calculated the per 14 day course incorrectly. It was actually $2.33 per- which is better! (24.99*2 – 5(RR)- 6(Q)- 25(rebate)= 13.98 so 2.33 per course.

    • Jean

Has anyone seen the January Walgreens coupon booklet at their store yet?

      • Vanessa

Hi, i have been doing this for over a year. If I were you I would atleast use my 3.50 rr's to do transactions 1-3, get all that stuff for free except tax and THEN you would have 11 rr toward your Prilosec. More stuff for less money. Just a thought.

      • Mcleodsc

No-I grabbed one today but realized when I got home that it was the old one.

      • Dianne

I tried to get one tonight to be able to use the Chex Mix Q in it on top of the sale ending tonight. (Would have meant free Chex Mix for school snacks!) One clerk at that store told me the books would be out by 5 PM and I could use the coupons starting at that point. Went in at 9 PM…no books. Asked the clerk. He pointed out that the book starts 1/2 and told me that it would not be ethical for me to use any Q in the book before tonight at midnight. Sigh… Wish things were consistent from one clerk to another (or one Wags to another).

    • Wagger

The $5/1 IVC for the Osc. children’s medicine DOES NOT work. The IVC is for (and shows a picture of) the adult version. Tried it today and it will not go through. Just a heads up!

      • Anonymous

Just so I'm clear – it's marked “On Any Size Children's Oscillio” it is for adults? I noticed the first coupon was noted as for adults and the second was for children. Thank you for your help!

        • KareninTX

True. They're talking about the Adult Ocillio coupon found in the January coupon book.

      • Guest

You are talking about the $5 store q from the Jan booklet, right? If that $5 q does not work on the children's product, those 3 sequential transactions will not work as posted. Please clarify – thanks.

Is there some way to check on the availability of these qs before they are posted or to mark them as no longer available when they are gone? Seems like there are a lot this week that are not working – Softsoap, Celsius, Huggies, and the Egg q come to mind right off the bat.

        • 3monkeysmom

I think the only way to check the availability of most of those coupons is to actually click the link and try to print them. When there are 10+ store/coupon match-ups on SouthernSavers every week, that's alot of coupons to try to validate. And since most of them DO work, that's alot coupons to print that she probably doesn't need. (There could be an easier way that I don't know about…just offering my opinion :))
As for the transactions, I think they will still work but your OOP would just be higher.
On transaction #1, it would be $6.99 OOP and on transaction #2, without the Celsius coupon, the OOP would be $2.97 (you wouldn't need the filler item since you now have the same item to coupon ratio). I think #3 would remain the same.

    • Tabitha

      Maybe I'm just super tired or don't understand. On the PANTENE, if you buy 2@ 3.50, that's $7. If you use the $3 off 2 coupon and then get 2RR, that would make it $2 instead of $1 wouldn't it? 2 x 3.50 = 7 – 3 = 4 – 2 = 2.

      • Stephanie

        It's $1.00 each.

    • Irritated

The $2 Oscillococcinum coupon SPECIFICALLY states ADULT ONLY. Coupons on this site are regularly mismatched…

      • Emily S.

Scroll down, there is one for children.

      • Sweezin

I found one that said children's size and it printed 2 to a page.

      • Allison

Hey, Irritated, you can always do your own coupon match-ups! This site has saved me GOBS of money in the last year. If a few of the coupons are not working, gone, for a different product, etc, it is a very limited amount! Jenny does a wonderful job—for FREE. We love you, Jenny!

        • Sue

          My sentiments exactly

        • Tlwoodbury

I agree! Thank you for writing that. And also, we should realize that the $5 Oscillo Walgreens coupon was not explicitly worded as being for the adult product, and only this is to blame for anyone's lost time and effort. (Other stores–when putting out coupons listing only the brand name and product size–intend them for ANY item of that brand and size, but you can never count on precision from Walgreens. In my experience, sometimes Walgreens intends for a coupon to go only with the item as pictured (as in the Oscillo scenario), and other times they intend for a coupon to apply more broadly (going according to the coupon's wording, with the item pictured being representative). I have had to school myself with regards to Walgreens that because of their various unusual coupon practices there is always the risk of wasted time and effort (i.e., Don't get your hopes up!)This helps me to roll with the punches whenever I have to reverse a transaction and walk out empyhanded.

      • Regina

        My 2 states children's.

      • CarrieAnne

It depends on which $2 MQ you are printing. There is a specific $2 childrens Q as well as a $2 adult Q. The $5 oscill wags Q is not specified as adult only or children and my wags took it no problem, she did have to push it through, but she had no problems doing it for me several times.

    • Holly

I really appreciate the effort to mtach coupons on this site, unfortunately, I will have to find another site since the coupons are frequently mismatched. The issue is getting worse and worse!

      • Betty

Sometimes we all need to do alittle of our own homework! Jenny is doing so much leg work for all of us!! Thanks Jenny!

        • Lexi huron

Thank you so much! I really appreciate all of the work that you do for all of us…I must say that I am disappointed in those that have complained about all the work that you put into this site and all of the match-ups…

I personally visit your site regularly, and am sorry that I don't write more often to thank you.
          -Alexis from Florida

      • Joelynn

Have you tried the “Grocery Game”? It's supposed to be really good, but they charge a “list per store” fee, unlike this site which is free.

I've copied and pasted the cost breakdown from their web site. “The cost for a 1 store membership is $10 every 8 weeks. That works out to about $1.25 per week. A 2 store membership is $15 every 8 weeks, a 3 store membership is $20 every 8 weeks and so on”.

In the year and half I've been using this site, I've run across few deals that didn't work out because of coupons being mismatched, but certainly not enough to complain about. I doubt that any other site you choose would be without flaw.

For me, it's a no brainer. Jenny does this out of the goodness of her heart: so much love and hardwork goes into to this website. I believe Jenny is on a mission and truly dedicated to helping us save money.

      • Leighann Howell

I agree with you on the frustration of the mismatches. There are many times I've gone to print out a coupon listed only to find it isn't available anymore, and saying that the coupon isn't available never seems to get the coupon removed.

Coupon mismatches seem to happen frequently on this site.

HOWEVER, Jenny does a great job most of the time. It's tough, having a blog like this that people read and depend on. Everyone makes mistakes, and the un-mismatched deals are always worth so much more than being frustrated over the mismatched ones. Just get into the habit of double-checking and leaving a comment that this coupon or that coupon doesn't work. She'll pick it up eventually.

Keep up the good work, Jenny.

      • Dave

This site is certainly the best out there, but it is not without room for improvement (who among us is perfect???). It is certainly understandable to make a mistake – it is what happens after the mistake that counts.

As I see it, the point of this site is to provide guidance. When a coupon is incorrectly posted (as is the $5 osci coupon) or the prints are no longer available (happens all the time and is sometimes indicated), then it would be most helpful if the original list and matchups could be updated accordingly before we spend tons of time searching for the coupons or planning our transactions and going to the store just to have it not work!

It seems as if many times the original post and matchups stay as originally posted the week before – long after the blogging community has discovered and reported errors. I know that the comments section often contains the updates, but I don't think that you should have to read every single comment each time you are going to go shopping to make sure that you have all of the bases covered. This is how couponing can start to eat up all of your time.

Is there some way that we could help Jenny to get the info out of the comments section and onto an update of the original list sooner after errors are discovered?

      • jess

I love this site, but do agree that there seems to be more and more errors on the matchups recently. Also, this site is often not updated when it's been pointed out in the comments section that there is an error. I have found other sites to update errors frequently. This used to be the primary site I used, but now I just use it as a secondary site to double-check whether the site I normally used missed any deals or coupons. I love hip 2 save, she updates frequently the errors, and often has deals posted there that aren't listed here. However, I do love the printable lists here. Between the two sites, I never seem to miss a deal.

      • Dbaeimers

It is very generous of Jenny to have this site at all. I am sure it is an enormous amount of work that saves us all time and money.

    • Lisa

Oscillococcinum deal does not work as listed. The Wags $5 coupon is for the adult, also the $2 coupon beeps but if cashier enters it, it will work. Just a heads up for everyone going to try this deal today!

      • C8h10n4o2 002

They will “HARD KEY” the printable but the adult Q does not work

        • krystal moon

I had the same thing happen to me. The $5 is only for the adult kind and the $2 coupon beeped but the guy asked the manager, she told him it all matched up for the $2 one but the $5 was an instant coupon and could not be pushed through since it was only on the adult kind even though it does not say that. Not as great of a deal but I got the $9 back in RR and a free breathe strip coupon. I was going to get the diapers but my walgreens does not sell the natural ones

    • Sweezin

To get the Nivea coupon you have to register. After you go through the whole process it tells you there are no more prints.

      • christina

yup, same thing happened to me :(

    • Jayway2299

The Walgreens product prices do not match what is shown for the RR deals on this site, but it appears that the store adds in the RR amount to the $ amount of the product. Ie, if Tide is listed here as $5.99 with a $1.00 RR, it will be priced at $6.99 at my store. Does anyone else have this problem?? I'm wondering if the store is adding it to the price so they don't have a loss on that product. There is only one Walgreens in town – we are a rural community.
On the other hand, the CVS prices on here are correct with their RR (or whatever CVS calls it.)

      • Leighann Howell

The prices I find listed on websites almost never match the prices I find in my stores. There have been several times that I've made a special trip out because this is on rollback or this is on sale, only to find out that mine IS on rollback or sale…but it's still $1 more than what they said on the site. Unfortunately, that is for the majority of the stores I have around here (what pitiful ones there are).

      • Cathy

Wow! That is really disappointing that your store adds in the RR amount to the original cost of the product. We live in a relatively small town and our Walgreens (there is only one) doesn't do that. Our prices match the store weekly ad. Occasionally, prices for things like Coca-cola, milk or some groceries might be different from the ones Jenny posts here on SS – but most everything else is the same.

Have you looked online at your local Walgreens ad? If you enter your zip code and look at your local ad and see that they are still charging more than their advertised price I would ask the manager about it – or even call Walgreens Corporate. Good luck!

      • Jayway2299

I appreciate the replies about this. I had originally thought that I just didn't understand how Jenny's site worked, and/or couldn't do the math in my head correctly. That is, until I went to CVS last week and everything worked fine. I'll look at our ad more closely to see if it matches this site. If not, I'll mention it to management. Otherwise, I'll stick with CVS for now on.

    • Lizashan1024

Thank you for putting all of this together for us!! I already viewed your site for my WD, Walgreens, CVS & Rite-Aid shopping. Now, you are also my “go-to” site for Publix (the site I was using changed how their lists are created). Thank you for everyhting that you do for us!!

    • Amy

The Oscillococcinum coupon in the January booklet is for the adult version and it wont work for the childrens one! I tried it this morning and it didnt work. They do have the adult kind but it doesnt give the RRs.. Hope this helps for some of you that havent went yet!!

      • Angel

both Qs didnt work for me this morning

      • wendyc33

i went and got mine this morning. it beeped, but they took it for me. actually both beeped, but they pushed them through. its always worth the try.

    • kastp

i dont know if anyone found the omega 3 in thier stores or the ninvia freeze in the store but i went to 2 stores and they dont have it. they may have it in on tues they said

i left the two dollar coupon for the childrens flu medicine with the manager so he could check with the corporation and find out why it isnt working, hopefully they will figure it out.

    • DuncanMomof2

I had a pretty good trip this morning. 5 boxes of Finish powerball tabs, 6 Sunday papers, 2 Niagra spray starches, 2 packs of mechanical pencils, 3 Oral b toothbrushes, 1 box of the children's oscillococcinum, and 1 box of pain patches. My oop was $12.93 but I got $9 back in rr so my total was really $3.93.

    • Katherine

AJC had coupons for $2.25 off electrosol (finish) 20 pks so it will make the dish detergent a money maker!!!

    • KareninTX

      Just returned from my trip!
The $2/1 Children's Oscillococcinum is working, but the cashier will have to 'hard key' it through–maybe because it prints a little fuzzy.
The $5/1 from the January coupon book DOES NOT work. It's only for the adult version.
On the Nivea deal, there's a small coupon booklet on the display, with $1 off Qs you can use now, making this deal free after $3 RR.
My store didn't have the Omega Factor 3, but the Papermate mechanical pencils are a great deal!
      Happy Savings!!

    • Mcleodsc

The $2/1 Children's Oscilloncoccinum had to be entered by hand. The store did not have the Men's Nivea nor the Finesse Clean and Simple Hair care products. I did make one good find: I spotted a tear-pad of Excedrin coupons. I got 4 of them-$3.50 off one- and used them at CVS for the Excedrin deal there.

      • Danielle

My Walgreens didn't have the Men's Nivea either. They said it was a new product and with the weather last week (we're in N. GA. where 4 inches of snow is a big deal) and the holidays, their trucks were a little behind. I was told it probably would be in on the next truck. Hope so!

      • The Finesse clean and simple wasn't i the hair aisle in my stores but on an endcap down the row..I missed it in the first store but found it in the second! (I had other things to get that they were out of at the first store)

    • mary

there was a PDF coupon available a few months ago for the celsius, I thought I still had it but I don't does anyone else still have the link? Thanks!

      • Ward

The pdf coupon I was able to print out expired in 2008!:)

    • mominsc

      My Walgreens trip today

(I really need to stick with CVS and Rite Aid because my OOP is way too much.)

      (2) Finish Dish Detergent @ $3.49 each – Used (1) $2.25 coupon
      (1) Holiday Pencil @ $0.12
      (8) Similac Formula @ $4.49 each – Used (6) $3.00 coupons and (2) $2.00 coupons
      (1) Crest Toothpaste @ $2.00 – Used (1) $1.00 coupon
      (1) Oscillo Children's Med @ $8.99 each – Used (1) $2.00 coupon
      (2) Huggies @ $6.99 each – Used (1) $3.00 coupon
      (1) Newspaper @ $2.00
      (2) Cereals @ $1.99 each – Used (2) $0.55 coupons

Purchased this in 2 transactions so I used the $9.00 Register Rewards from the Oscillo.

Total OOP – $35.90. I saved approximately 65% off the retail price and I still have $4.00 in Register Rewards.

    • Cathy

I, too, found that the Walgreens Jan Booklet $5 off Oscillo did not work for the Children's Oscillo that is offering the RR. The cashier also had to hand enter the $2 off Manu. coupon – but I was happy that they still took it!

However, a coupon for FREE (up to $7.49) Breathe Right strips printed out for my transaction. Woohoo! (My husband just started using these and now I'm sleeping a LOT more peacefully! ;)

Did anyone else get this coupon? I wonder if it is attached to the Oscillo purchase or if it's just a random printout.

      • Danielle

I just got back from Walgreens too. I had 3 transactions and received the Free Breathe Right strips coupon for all 3. My husband called with a request, so I got out of line to get what he needed and went ahead and picked up 3 of the Breathe Right boxes. On the final transaction I figured I wouldn't get another one since I was getting 3, but ANOTHER one printed out!

I don't know if its just printing today or what, but I'm going to be sleeping better now too!

        • Cathy

Thanks, Danielle! I think I might head back to Walgreens (especially since Jenny just posted about the Finish Detergent coupon) and see if I can get another one! :) The first time my husband used those Breathe Right strips I actually wondered if he was still alive since he was sleeping so quietly! ;) They are great!

      • Lpn2004

I was unable to get the Oscillo coupon to work for the Children's Oscillo at my Walgreen's. She told me it was for the adult not the children's so I was unable to get the deal.

      • I got 2 of the Breathe Right strip Qs! Such a nice little bonus. The manager pushed through the $5 store Q on my first transaction, but the cashier wouldn't do it a second time. I have no complaints, it was still an AWESOME trip! (click my name for detailed transaction info)

    • Lee

Has anyone had trouble getting the Huggies $3 off coupon?

    • CarrieAnne

I know that everyone is complaining that the $5 wags coup is for adult only. My cashier was happy to use it for the childrens. I guess she may have done it manually, but the Q does not state adult only. It does have a picture of the adult med, but it states “$5 off ocillococcimum natural flu relief, 6ct “. It says nothing for or against using it for the childrens product. Perhaps, the coupon was intended for adult medicine only and some wags employees are aware and some are not…but I think that the complaining about it not working is rediculous considering most of the users of this site would probably not know about the deal if it were not posted. This site is a lot of work and I think a few more thank you's might be in order.

      • Melanieplynch

I don't think anyone is being ungrateful to Jenny. I think it's just that people plan out their trips to Walgreens and then everything goes a little haywire when something doesn't pan out, like the $5 Wags coupon. I usually have my 2 and 4-year old with me, so to try and refigure my whole plan on the fly is really difficult. That's why I'm really grateful to the people who report back about their experiences so that I have a heads up. Now I know that I have about a 50/50 shot of the $5 off coupon working so I won't base the success of my whole trip on it. Also, I don't think it's very fair to call people out like that when the coupon worked for you. Just sayin…

    • Delores

My trip to Walgreens today did have a few hiccups ( which are sometimes hard to anticipate in advance). I confirm also that the $5 store Q will not work on the Children's Oscillococcinum Homeopathic Flu Medicine since it is for Adult only. However, they hard keyed the $2 Q since it would not scan AND (silver lining) it printed a Q for free 10 – 12 ct Breathe Right Strips ($5.99 value) along with the $9 RR!!

Also, look on the Nivea shipper for the Men's RR Item. There is a little brochure which has a $1 Q for this product!!

Finally there is a $2.25 Q in the SS with the Lean Cuisine on the front for Electrasol 20 pk Powerball. This makes it a 26 cent moneymaker.

    • Jaylene

Anybody know where I can find the “January Walgreens Booklet”? Is this something I sign up for online, or is it available in stores?
      Thanks!

      • Sara

It's in all the stores. Just ask the cashier for it.

      • They are next to the weekly ad in my stores.

    • Kim

the $5 wags on the flu meds doesnt work on the childrens..tried this morning. :(

      • Toni

True. I tried this afternoon. The $5 coupon only works on the adult Oscillococcinum, not the children's.

        • Melanieplynch

Does it actually say that its only good on the adult version on the coupon?

          • esturm1

No, it doesn't. It says its for the natural flu relief 6 ct., which is what the children's is, so it should work, but that's Walgreens for ya'. This is NOT Jenny's fault, so all of you complaining, just please be quiet and take your griping elsewhere.

      • My manager pushed it through 3 times for me today! AND my printed one won't scan and he pushed that through too!

        • Dave

          Which store?

        • Bushsfurniture

My manager pushed the 5$ and 2$ coupon thru twice today for me!! Great Cordele GA walgreens

    • Christina

The crest toothpaste from the P&G have you tried this yet is expired :(

    • Rdts60

There is a $5 ECB in todays ad for AARP members. It's good for about 3 weeks. Have them scan your AARP card and buy $20 (after Walgreen discounts and before tax) in one transaction. You really need to pull up the rules and read them carefully.

    • Amykins

Just wondering if anyone bought the trash bags….was there any problem with the force flex vs. the regular ones?

Thanks Jenny for all you do! I love this site!!

      • Melanieplynch

I'm wondering the same exact thing! Anyone?

    • Emily

If anyone has ANY Sinex or Pantene coupons left, could you please email me at ann.martine68@ gmail dot com. Please, I really do need these!

      • Extremecouponshopper

WOW! You sure are posting on a lot of sites trying to get coupons sent to you.
Why don't you try a clipping service or Ebay like many of us do?!

    • lulu

Does anyone have problems with their Wallgreens letting you “roll” your register rewards? Mine won't allow it. Is there any reason they should not?

      • Suzanne

You can't use the RR on the same item (or RR item by the same company) or the new reward won't print. The only real way to “roll” is to alternate between items with different manufacturers.

    • Suzanne

Someone mentioned this earlier, but I just logged into the Huggies website and printed two -$2.50/1 little snugglers or little movers and two -$2.50/1 pure and natural diapers.

      • Christy

Can you explain where you found them? I don't see a link to them anywhere. Thanks!

        • queenybaby

They took them off there website today. I got 15 bags of diapers for $65. I am so excited. This will last my son about 4 months.

    • Karen

I found a printable $5 coupon for the ColonAid that makes the deal even sweeter, (makes it $4.99) if any one is interested .Go to colonaid.com to print
ColonAide All Natural Colon Cleanser $29.99
-$20 off Colonaide All Natural Colon Cleanse January Walgreens coupon booklet
      (makes it $9.99)

      • Julie

colonaide.com with an e to get the $5.00 off coupon

    • Cindy Henderson

There is a $3 coupon in the package of Omega Factor 3- this makes it a $3 money maker! Already got mine so have at them.

      • Mimik20

        Thanks, I used it!

    • GREAT shopping trip today–quite possibly my best Walgreens day ever! I was a little freaked out when I got to the store and found out that the Sinex is NOT included in the Vicks deal (bummer–would've been a $10 moneymaker!), especially since the Vicks was the first transaction in my scenario. Luckily my husband had the kids and I wasn't in a hurry, so I managed to work it out. I did have some trouble with the Oscillo Qs too but still managed to only spend $3.08 OOP and saved $115.51! I still much prefer CVS over Wags (No Rite-Aid in FL), but this was definitely a step in the right direction. (Click link on my name for photo & detailed transaction info)

    • I have been shopping ar walgreens for years and have never heard of rr…what is it sounds like something I need!

    • jenr

My manager today at the “nice” wags noticed that the $5 q in the book for the oscilo- was a manu q. They couldn't get the $2 to go through, but had to override the price on the oscilo- to $3.99.

      • momof3

My store wouldn't do that even…The refused to take the coupon for the childrens's oscilo from their book–They said it would say “children's” if it was meant to be used for it….So disappointing!

        • june

That chaps my hide. LOL Corp lawyers are paid extravigant amounts of money to keep money in the corps pockets and when they slip up it is up to the customer to realize what they really ment.

I've learned to play dumb in these situations. I'm nice, but bring up that “I don't see where the exclusions are listed.” It worked today. The manger was in a hurry and said to over ride it.

        • esturm1

By that logic, it would also say “adult” if it was meant to be used for the adult formula. Walgreens is very frustrating at times.

    • Nthebank

may be a dumb question…but if I buy more than 1 powertabs will more than 1 RR print in a single transaction?

      • angela

No. You would have to purchase them in separate transactions. Also, if you use the 1RR from the powertabs to buy another powertabs, it won't print a RR.

    • Dianahouseoflite

I tried to go to the link for the Celsius tea and it says the page can't be found. Help!

    • Casey B.

Had a great trip today to Wags!! I was quite suprised when I done my DayQuil/NyQuil deal… I got my $10 in RR & it printed a FREE coupon (up to $7.49) for Breathe Right Nasal Strips(10-12 ct) also!! YAY!!

      • Casey B.

And the coupon doesn't expire until 2/27/11!!

    • Rachel

I can't find the Celsius coupon tries all over there site. one had luck? Any clearnace deals to look for?

    • Chris

I generally do not do Walgreens, but b/c of the Finish coupons, I went there. I now have 4 $1.50 RRs, so I am wondering if this scenario will work:
      (2) Advils – – – Use (2) $2 off Manu. Coupon
      (4) M&Ms Holiday (Clearance) – – – Use (4)$1.50 RRs and (2) $1/2 WAGS JAN. Coupon Book
      (1) Huggies – – – Use (1) $2.50 Manu. Coupon
      (1) Glad Trash – – – Use (1) $2 Manu. Coupon and (1) $1 WAGS JAN. Coupon Book

Can I do the WAGS Coupons and the RRs together on the M&Ms, or would I still have to have 4 fillers? By using the above scenario, I should still have to come out of pocket before tax about $6, so I do not have to worry about overage.

Jenny – Thanks again for the hard work you do! The matchups are not perfect, but at least they get people on the right track. Question: What about getting a few people Moderator access so they can have access to the website to modify matchups on the weekend when the site gets slammed?? :)

      • Zarate06

The Wags coupons don't count towards your MQ total, so you should be good.

    • ChristinaBrunk

      Question to anyone:
      In this deal,
$3 RR WYB Nivea for Men Arctic Freeze Shave Gel or After Shave 3.3 oz., $3.99
-$1 off Nivea body product, 2.6 oz +, (register) printable
      (makes it FREE),
      what does (register) printable mean?

      • Mamaberry

It means there is a printable coupon on that link, but you are going to have to register to get it. Some are available immediately after registering, some you will have to wait for the email confirmation to get the printable. hth!!

        • Angela

I signed up for the nivea, was told a $1.00 coupon would print, then the coupon printer came up and said there where no coupons for this promotion!

          • Mamaberry

That will happen when there are no prints left. ANNOYING!! They take your info and say “Oh, btw, we got nothing for you in return. But, we are happy to solicit you every other day :) ” gotta love it!! Oh well, gotta take the good with the bad I suppose…

      • Shelleyschu

No prints left for the Nivea Arctic Freeze. Don't bother registering

    • Tiffany

How do I get Walgreens coupon booklet? thanks

      • Missyscatchall

they are at the front of the store as you enter the door… usually on the little rack with this week's sale paper.

    • Elizabeth

The $2 oscillo coupon doesn't expire intill 12/31/12, it's in pdf form (printing 2 at a time) and everybody is reporting trouble with scanning. Anybody else sensing a fake?

      • Zarate06

One might think that, but it is directly from the manufacturer's website. I was even able to get to the coupon by going directly to the website rather than through the link.

      • Mcleodsc

I got it from the manufacturer's site so how can it be a fake?

      • partyof9

Not sensing a fake…just an error on the part of the manufacturer.

      • jen

The $2 oscillo coupon worked for me at my Walgreens

      • Oliveberries

I printed the Q from oscillo's website, and I was told Wags their manager had received an e-mail from the oscillo stating that it is a fraudulent Q and not to accept them. I'm not sure I understand how a fraudulent Q could be on the manufacturer's website, and why haven't they removed it ?!

    • God Has A Plan

Ok so I tried the Oscillococcinum deal, but the WAGS Q won't work for it b/c it doesn't say children's and it is only the regular Osci. But to my surprise not only did I get the $9 RR but I also got a Q that printed out for FREE (up to $7.59) 10 or 12 ct Breathe Right strips. I did 2 Osci deals and both printed out the Breathe Right Qs. The Breathe Right advanced is $6.29 at my store so I got that!

      • KSE

I also got the Breathe Right strips coupon. My $5 WAGS coupon worked on the Osci purchase but the $2 one did not. The cashier told me that they had been having trouble with that particular coupon.

      • partyof9

Mine said children's and they still wouldn't take it. It didn't have a “border” that proves it is a valid coupon. Ridiculous.

    • KellyH

I am new to Wags and wondering why I need filler items in the transactions above.

      • Delores

only 1 coupon per item is allowed in each transaction and each RR you use is considered a coupon. Therefore if you have Mfr Q's on each item and want to use RR's too you must have enough items to equal the number of all q's (manufacturer AND register rewards).

    • Delores

Hey guys if you havent already discovered it, there is a $3 Q forOmega Factor-3 60 ct in the box with the product which makes this a $3 money maker!!!

    • Gabriela

Ok…. I'm always trying to give Walgreens a chance because of all their great deals. But it is just frustrating and a waste of time. I tried the Oscillococcinum deal and again it didn't work. Seems like all the deals I tried there seems to have problems. I do not understand how it works in some wallgreens and not in others…. why does this happen? Also, the personel doesn't seem very nice and helpful. At least at the one I shop.

I have have also decided to just give up on Walgreens. I travel with my job so I have used about 5 different stores and they are all rude and the coupons never work and I just get mad and leave. Today the lady would not let me split what I had in 2 orders. She said all the stuff must be checked out at once. HOW stupid. I could simply walk out the door and come back in. She said it was the managers policy. What a bunch of dumb dumbs.

        • Gabriela

That is so funny! I would say the same thing! You can always leave and come back and they would have to sell it to you anyway…. I really don't understand them!

      • Nray1313

I also tried the Oscillococcinum deal, and was told I couldnt use the $5 Walgreen coupon because it wasn't for the Children's, which is the one in the add for the $8.99 RR, was this the case for everyone else?

        • Gabriela

They told me the coupon for 5 dollars was not for the childrens ones. So it messed up all my deals, considering I would use the rr's on other transactions. I left with my chilfrens advil because I really needed it. I can't remember how many times I went there and left empty handed!

          • GA~mommy

They wouldn't even take my internet coupon…they said it has to have dots on the back, I explained it was an INTERNET coupon, but they insisted there were supposed to be dots on the back! I am so sick of their attitudes at my local store…I don't care how good of a deal they have, I'm not going back, their deals never work anyways. :(

            • Susanne

What part of Georgia do you live in? If you live near the Henry County area, I can give you info on a couple of coupon friendly stores.

            • Paige

They wouldn't take mine here in Florida either. Insisted it needed codes around the border. Manager wouldn't override it even though the cashier said they could. She made me feel like a criminal!

          • BoxerMom

Can it be that Jenny made a mistake? Don't blame the store. They can only do as much as the register will allow. And its not always the stores fault, they have to take into consideration what their bosses and their boss's bosses have to say. If the $5 coupon doesn't take off at the register its because it is only for the adult Oscillococcinum, if it was meant to include the coupon itself would indicate by saying adult and childrens in the description or it would picture both.I'm just thinking we could look at this from both sides instead of just blaming the store. The out of stock thing is a whole other story. That also can be looked at from both sides, Warehouse doesn't always have enough to support sales. On the other hand having someone do 8 different transactions back to back with the same stuff isn't fair to the rest of the customers, but if they tried to limit the sales to the same person even being different transactions someone would call corporate.

            • nika mom

Do u have stock in wag or just work there? Relax – people are just venting!

            • BoxerMom

yes I do and I also work there. I'm also just venting. I hardly ever see anyone talking about a good experience at walgreens. Its usually always negative comments about the stores or their employees. I can tell you for sure we don't always agree with the policies that come down from cooperate, but if we dont follow them we risk losing our jobs. I just wanted it to be seen from both sides of the story. I didn't mean to upset anyone, if I did i'm sorry.

        • sparkmangal

They wouldn't let me use the Walgreens $5 off with the childrens either, because it is for the adult. Oh well, Great job Jenny. Thanks for all you do.

        • jobo

I was able to do the Oscilloccoccinum deal. The manager just came and overrided the coupon so that it'd work. Some stuff I would say is just up to each store/manager and how they run their store….

      • BoxerMom

        • Mommyof2

I have to agree with BoxerMom! I myself make multiple transaction and we the customers continue to complain about everything being out they will just make things more difficult on us and put the strict limit on our transactions with register rewards and have to come back every day. I don't know about you but I dont want to do that! Every Walgreens is different on how they operate. The manager was just trying to be helpful to give the deal and I understand why some dont.

        • BoxerMom

Let me clarify on the 8 different transactions with the same stuff. I don't mean any items in general, I'm referring to buying several of the register rewards items, wiping out the shelves. I'm the customer who gets left out because they shelves are empty come Monday morning like ireneY. But I'm sure someone would be upset if the store limited us all because some of us out there want to buy several of the same RR items in multiple transactions

    • Gabriela

Random question. I tried to find a coupon in my newspaper and realized I don't have it. Decided to look at the insert variations and my newspaper got that particular coupon. I noticed though there are coupons written in blue, some in red and some in black. Does anybody know what that means?

      • KT

I believe red is when the paper doesn't have the coupon, blue is when there is a difference in price or quantity, and black is the same as listed in the preview.

        • Gabriela

          Thank you!

    • Zombiemommy

Yes the wags Q doesn't work on the childrens oscillium, and neither does the manufacturer, but since my manu coupon had a picture of the children's on it, they did force that one for me.
Good news is that I got the breathe right strip q!

    • Ekirstine

It looks like Walgreens is also offering $3 RR for any $10 worth of Advil, Campbell's, or Dimetapp products. I bought 2 children's 4oz. Advil at $5, used 2 $2 coupons and received a RR for $3 back at the register making the Advil 1.50 each!

    • guest

There is a great price on Goody powders this week for anyone that uses them. There is a $3.00 in ad coupon for BC, Goody or Ecotrin plus a printable coupon available for $1.00. That is $4.00 off a box of 50 which made it $1.99 a box for me with a limit of 3.

    • Mcleodsc

Anyone else having problems finding the sales items that produce RR in their store? I had an employee actually look for a couple of products after I had already wasted 15 minutes of my time looking. He looked in the back too. There isn't even a slot on the shelves for them. I will try the 24hr. Wags across town today since I will be nearby anyway. It is so annoying that the closest Wags never seems to get all of the items that produce RR's.

      • ireneY

I asked an employee and the manager about several items. They were out or just didn't carry them. I spent almost an hour in the freakin' store. I had plans to buy most the RR deals and only walked out with Chex mix. Even then, the register wouldn't take all the Qs so they had to void out the transaction and call the manager. Apparently, a $.50/2 Q attaches to 2 items, so it's not one Q per item. They sure don't make it easy to shop there!

    • Angela

I have a question about the nestle deal (spend $20 get $5 RR). I'm looking at my flier and it says you have to SPEND $20 to get the $5 RR (not get $20 worth). I'm going to try using the above deal, but it would be $11.98 that I will spend for $20 WORTH of items because of my coupons. Will it still give me the $5 RR??

      • Jane

It's $20 before coupons. I did the Nestle deal like this – I bought

        (2) Digiorno pizzas @ $5 ea = $10.00
        (2) Lean Pockets @ $2.50 ea = $ 5.00
        (2) Stouffer Entrees @ $2.50 ea = $ 5.00

        Used:
        (2) $0.50/1 Lean Pocket qs = (- $1.00)
        (2) $9 rr Osci from previous transactions = (-$18.00)

oop = $1.00 plus tax (got $5 rr Nestle)

*** Don't think there are any Digiorno qs out there now and I didn't have any Stouffer's entree qs or I would have used them as well and granted the $18 in Osci rrs cost me $14 to obtain, so really it is abt $10 oop for 2 pizzas, 2 meatloafs, and 4 hot pockets or abt 3.5 meals for my family of 4. I'm ok with that.

    • Thiamaria

      Made an awesome run today!
Started off w/ $3.50 in RR from the chex deal
      Purchased:
      2 Natrol Acai
      2 Biore Cleansers
      1 Finish Powerball
      1 Resveratrol Max
      Used:
      $3.50 RR
      2- $2 Natrol Q
      2- $2 Biore Q
      1- $2.25 Finish Q
$10 Natrol Acai ($5 coupon doubled @ register) from Wags Jan
$10 Resveratrol Max Dots Q (register lowered to $9.99) from Wags Jan

      OOP- $1.26
And for stuff that we'll actually use! Yay!

(Also snagged 2- $2.50 Excedrin PM coupons from a tearpad to use @ CVS)

      • Thiamaria

Forgot to add that I walked out w/ $6.50 in RR!

    • PaulaB

What is Wags policy on coupons for B1G1 items?
I got 2 bottles of vitamins and had 2 $1 q's but they would only take 1 q, saying that the second bottle was free. Asked for a manager and she went into a rant about how much money they lose from coupons and finally entered both.

      • Thiamaria

        http://www.walgreens.com/topic

Buy One, Get One Free Coupons

        * When items are featured in a Buy One, Get One Free promotion, up to two coupons can be used against the items being purchased, as long as the net price does not go below zero for the items being purchased.
        * Sales tax must be paid for any Buy One, Get One Free coupon offers, if required by applicable state laws.

The cashier needs to learn that CVS isn't losing money. They get it back from the mfr. Maybe take a copy w/you next time so she'll mind her manners.

Where can I get the rite aid book and why are all the filler items always gone?

    • The_hooks

do not know if anyone found the Air wick I motion deal for 50% off. The price was $3.99 and in last Sunday paper there was a coupon for $3.00 off. Making the starter kit 99 cents. Just thought I would share plus the bonus is the shelves where not empty so for some this might be a good buy. Everything else like the dish tablets and free breathe right strips were completely gone so I was at least happy to find some good deal when I went out today.

    • Bek925

I'm wondering if I could get some feedback on my drugstore spending. Here's what I spent, and what I got:

      3 John Frieda Products w/ $5 coupons
      2 Jergens lotions w/ $3 coupons
      4 trident packs
      2 children's advils w/ $3 coupons
      2 Cheerios with $1 coupon
      1 pack pull ups
      1 Crest toothpaste w/ $.75 coupon

Spent roughly $31, after using $14 in register rewards money. I think I did pretty well, but I would like to get the total down, if possible. Any pointers?

Thanks, in advance, for your helpful input.

      • Rachel

split up your transactions each transaction should only total what u have in rr to spend. What did u start with and what were the prices u paid. I didn't buy those items so I don't know . Just looking I would have done pullups as one transaction at the end because it eats up some of the rr. Childrens advil is better if u spend 12 so u get the rr back.

      • Ashley

To be honest, I would never spend $31 on that stuff. Those things you should be getting free all throughout the year with just about $0 out of pocket. I would let you know how you could have made the order better, but I don't exactly how you purchased it to start with. Don't mean to be a bummer, but if it were me I'd totally return all that stuff, lol!!! Start small if you are a beginner. You don't want to spend all that money and then look back and see that you could've gotten it all for free as a pro. I get tons of stuff for free at drugstores, including everything you purchased all the time. If you have a Rite Aid, go there! I'll check Jenny's list from time to time for any moneymakers, but I haven't shopped at Wags in months.

    • Wondertwinsmom

    • Merlegirl74

      My Walgreens won't take printables.

      • Thiamaria

Check out their official coupon policy. It says:
        “Internet/Print at Home Coupons

        * Walgreens accepts valid internet/print at home coupons.
This might be one of those situations where an email/phone call ought to be made. I don't know who you'd talk to, but that should not be the case. I understand if it beeps that they may not want to take it, but a flat out no?

    • Is anyone having a problem with the celsius coupon? I go to the link but were do I go to get the coupon??

    • Traci

I went in to Walgreens today and they had Loreal Infallible lipstick and Loreal HIP Kohl eyeliners on clearance for 2.58/each. I was able to use the $5/2 Loreal coupon that was in the paper this past week. So it was $.08/each after coupon. I also needed foundation so I was able to buy 1 foundation, 5 lipsticks, 2 eyeliners for 12.00 after I used my $5 RR and 4 $5/2 coupons and I got back a $5.00 RR for next week. I am not usually a Walgreens shopper but I was super excited over this deal. This was all less than I expected to pay for the needed foundation. In all I got 89.00 worth of goodies for 12.00.

    • Dkwinstead

I use 2 coupons at Publix all the time for the BOGO items but yesterday when I went to Walgreens, I was told by the cashier & store manager that I can only use ONE coupon because the 2nd item is “free”. They said they can't manipuate the cash register…??? Anyone ever have this problem? Thank you!

      • Donna123

You CAN use two coupons at Walgreens on their BOGO items. I’ve had the same problem but printed up the Walgreens coupon policy at Walgreens.com. Take that into the store with you since it clearly states you can use two coupons. Hope that helps.

        • Dkwinstead

Thank you so much! Printing it and taking it with me on my next trip!

    • Angela

My walgreens also would not take the $5 off oscillococcinum because the coupon was for the “regular” and not the “childrens”. Jenny could you put a note alongside the coupon that a lot of wags aren't taking them? I bought two anyways, and its still a great deal, but I spent $10 more than what I planned and I wish I had known about it going in. I still got a GREAT deal today, $125 worth of stuff for $25. Thank you so much Jenny for everything you do!

    • Cmm0082

Just wanted to thank Walgreens….my husband offered to pick up the Electrosol yesterday. He had the $2.25 coupon and stopped at 3 Walgreens. All stores were sold out of the product but one manager gave him a raincheck for the price and RR to go with it!

    • Purdielarkin

I can't find the Quaker Oatmeal coupon in either of the red plum inserts? What's on the front of the insert? I even looked thru all the smart source inserts too. Thanks!

      • Tedwards

I could not find them either so, I bought 20 off ebay

    • Lilreddiver

Has anyone seen if you can use the $3 off Boost coupon in conjunction with the buy $20 Nestle get $5 back scenario….

      • Keldansmom

I haven't tried it yet, but I saw a scenario posted on wild for wags that showed it, and she usually knows wags pretty well!

    • Greer Debbie

      Why cann't i print any coupons.It tells me i have already printed the amount.But i haven't printed any .

      • Ammie

        I'm having the same problem!

      • Cathy

When you get that message it usually means that the coupon has reached its print limit and is no longer available. :(

    • Julie

The guys that was checking me out today said you dont have to ring multiple transactions for the same deal to get the RR. You can just separate them with other deals. Does anyone know about this? He said someone else did it recently in there but it didnt sound right. I wanted to find out what you guys knew first. Thanks

      for example:

      electrasol
      Nestle
      electrasol
      Children’s Oscillococcinum
      electrasol
      Children’s Oscillococcinum

      • Angela

every wags employee I have asked have told me you have to use separate transactions, about 6 employees over 3 stores

    • Chiefsangeleyes

My Wags has a 12 double roll package on sale for $5..good deal with q's!~

    • Banker281

I was able to find a celsius coupon located @
      http://www.celsius.com/sites/default/files/imce/pdf/RADIO-3-31.pdf

    • Livserge331

My WAGs also did not accept the $5 coupon for the oscillo. I had a $1 coupon from a deal at Rite Aid so I still came out ahead, but heads up to others. Also, at the first wags I went to, I received two Catalina coupons for any 10-12ct Breathe Right free! I turned around and used them at the other WAGs, and lo and behold, earned a third coupon! I'm going to save that one. It was weird, since I bought totally different stuff each time. Not sure what triggered it. Oh, I did get the Reservatrol Max Dots at both stores, so maybe that was it?
