Here are best deals at Walgreens starting Sunday 10/25.  There are a few free deals this week, the most fun deal for me though is the Dulcolax deal, not because of what it is but because of the way it is listed in the ad.  It’s actually listed with the RR and using a coupon with it to help you get it for FREE.  Yes, that’s right it’s in print to use a coupon on a RR deal.  If your store is difficult with coupons on RR deals, ask your store manager what they think of that one??

If you are new to Walgreens shopping read the getting started guide.

In the last 3 or 4 months Walgreens has always released a $5 off $25 coupon for the last few days of the week.  I don’t have any inside knowledge that this is coming just history.  So I have gone ahead and made a plan if it does come.  It’s not a great week, so I’ll probably hold off on my shopping until Thursday just in case.

There is also a B1G1 coupon for the Trident Layers Gum in SS 10/18 in case you’ve maxed out on the printables.

      • Snellmom

I used the BOGO coupon and they gave me 71 cents off because the gum rang up at $1.29 for the first pack and 71 cents for the second pack instead of $1 each. Just an FYI. I’m sure I could have pushed it to get at least $1 off, but I had a great cashier and didn’t want to cause extra trouble.

        • Sam

Use the .75 Q first, then ask them to mark the BOGO for .71 since that’s what they’re charging. Total = .54 plus tax, with the $1 reward as well.

    • Honey

Your printable list icon is missing. You may not be doing it anymore, but if you are I wanted to let you know. I hope you are still doing that-thanks!

    • Honey

OOOps nevermind-I must have overlooked it…

    • Honey

If you have coupons and/or if any of the cereals are marked with the circle that says, “Buy 3 get $10 bonus bucks” then that would be a great deal. It includes Frosted Flakes, Froot Loops, Frosted Mini-Wheats, and Raisin Bran. Let’s just hope…

    • http://southernsavers.com angeline saby

there are some tearpads in walgreens if you buy the softsoap base and refill you get 2.00 off.

      • Carolin

Keep your eye out for peelies. I’ve seen some ensemble bases that have a peelie for buy the base and get the refill for free. If you have both coupons would make for free soap.

      • heather

In paper this weekend there is a coupon for the softsoap hand pump get a replacement base for free(3.99) so you would only end up paying 1.99 after RR for both!

      • Donna Stamey

Hey! I found a coupon in this past Sunday’s paper for ‘Buy any Softsoap Ensembles Hand Soap Pump & get $3.00 off any softsoap ensembles replacement base’. I don’t remember if it was SS or RP, though.

    • TL

I noticed in the last scenerio you mentioned a 5$ off a 25$ purchase. Where can I find that?

      • Jenny

Sorry, I meant to add an explanation. I kind of expect them to release one on Wednesday night or Thursday. For the past 3 months they have released one the last week of the month that was good for two days. That is just in case we get one.

    • Giny

If there is a month-long deal at Walgreens that I bought last week, can I buy again this week and still get the RRs?
Sometimes (not always) they do not allow me to make a transaction and use the RRs for the next immediate purchase so I would like to know if there is any store policy about this.
      Thank you!

      • MonaLisa

You can do the month long deals again. My store lets me do the deals several times. I usually go early Sat or Sun each week. Just do not use the RR from that same product or the new RR will not print. Example: you have a a RR for the chapstick and want to buy another chapstick this week. If you use the one that says chapstick as a coupon in that transaction the new RR will not print.

    • big john

Ok is Publix Family Fitness Booklet a new one or old one as i don’t even see it listed in your booklets. fell in love with the true north snacks last time they were an rr. Wife not sure which she wants more dr. scholls or the snacks.

    • Carolyn

I went to Walgreens today and tried to get the Vaseline lotion w/the $6.99 register rewards. The employee I spoke with told me that this was not a month long deal and they weren’t offering that deal right now.

      • danielle

I went today and got the lotion the rr did print.

      • Susan

That employee was wrong. I bought the vaseline lotion today and my $7 RR printed no problems. Did you pay with a RR from Unilever? The skippy/ ragu deal was from unilever and I think that could cause the vaseline lotion RR not to print.

      • Stacey

Yes it is a month long deal. The rr will print out, I just did it on Friday.

      • http://southernsavers Crisci

The same thing happened to me last week. The manager ended up checking with someone and printed out the RR for me. He said that it didn’t print because I had used a coupon for the lotion and the company didn’t want to pay me to buy their product. Either way, he printed out the RR and gave it to me.

    • Corrie

Does Walgreens offer rain checks for RR items? I’ve never asked…

      • Michelle

Yes Walgreens offers rainchecks for the items on sale just not for the register rewards that they offer with them. Not like CVS where you get a raincheck for the item and the ECB that goes with it. Hope that makes since.

      • Angel in Charleston

It depends on the store. A few weeks ago I was trying to get a rain check on something. Went to three different Wags and got three different answers!

    • Abby

On the Breeze meter….If we use that $30 coupon, it’ll be free. Will it give us the overage or just the sale price of the meter?

      • Amy

I was wondering the same thing. Any help from those who are more expert would be appreciated.

        • big john

jenny please correct me if i am wrong, but last time they put this out the coupon said up to 30 dollars. so the cashier would have to wreite in amount. therefore no overage.

      • Jenny

The coupon is up to $30 off. So you will only get the value of the meter off your total. sorry.

      • avenlee

The coupon is up to $30.00. No overage. Besides I’ve never heard of a store giving back an overage in any scenerio. They most likely not even accept it.

      • Abby

Thanks! I wasn’t expecting the overage (it really would have surprised me!) but I just wanted to make sure I didnt need to go up there with extra merchandise to cover it.

        • Hope

I got the up to $30 Q from the paper for the glucose meter. But the WAGS ad also says $14.99 mail-in rebate form in the box. That would mean, free meter, then $14.99 back by mail? Not sure if it will work when I mail it in seeing as how the receipt will show that I got the meter for free anyway, but it is worth a try. And if I buy the $14.99 meter with one other product to make $20 total, I will get the $5 back right? Or if I use the Q with that deal, maybe it won’t give the $20?

          • avenlee

The MIR issue has come up in the past on other boards I visit and I’ve been told that you would not get the rebate since the receipt will show you got it for free. Also, the week of 11/8 – 11/14 the meter will get you a 5.00 RR alone. You won’t need to buy 20.00 worth of product. I’m waiting to use my coupons.

    • Snellmom

The AJC (Atlanta) had a coupon for a FREE Super Poligrip Denture Adhesive, so this could be a money maker and a great white elephant gift.

Also, the Atlanta area Walgreens (at least the ones I’ve been in) have had some select Garnier Fructis hair products with $2 RR. The tag says it is good 9/24-10/31.

      • big john

not to be sad sack but the free coupon expired on 10/18. i’m depressed about it myself

        • Snellmom

Sorry. Just realized that. Oh well.

    • Jen

Don’t forget to use the $1.50 off coupon for the Vaseline from http://www.vaselinesheerinfusion.com/
      !!

      • Patty

Sorry, to say, Jen…but this is now gone…Due to the overwhelming demand for the Vaseline® Sheer Infusion™ coupon, we have currently reached our print limit. Please check back often, as more coupons may become available.

        • Mary

I was able to print it a few minutes ago and it printed fine.
I hope you can get one as well.

          Thanks Jen for the link.

        • Denise-GC

Just printed two of these from a computer that I had already printed two from earlier in the month. So, it appears to have been reset and not just new coupons for those who have not yet printed it, like some others have been.

        • Kristen

I was still able to print 2 on 10-28 at 12:30pm

    • Laura

On transaction #3 why do you need a filler item? There are 3 items listed (2 Poligrips and 1 Colgate Total) and 3 coupons. Also, can someone explain how it works when you have a WAGS store ad coupon. Does that count as a coupon or not when trying to decide if you need a filler item?

      • Susan

Store coupons do not count. :)

    • ~*Brook*~

Anybody having trouble printing the -$1.85 of Ensure? It tells me that I’ve already printed the max, but I’ve never printed this coupon. Any ideas??

    • Lillie

Just a note. Our Walgreens in Simpsonville, SC will not accept manufacturer or store coupons on top of a RR deal; they call it double dipping. The only way it would be double-dipping if a Walgreens coupon was used, not when a manufacturers coupon was used. The manufacturer reimburses them for a manufacturer coupon, so Walgreens should accept the coupons, especially since they are going to get their money back anyway. Thanks.

      • avenlee

As noted above, just show the manager ther own flyer advertising the dulcolax deal. They are not only state using a coupon to make it free, they are encouraging it. LOL

      • Jenna

yes i had that problem at the simpsonville location on fairview rd. i bought razors and they were 4.99 on sale and you get a 2.00 rr. the product had a 2.00 peelie and i also had a 2.00 rr from a previous purchase. the cashier told me that i could not put a rr and manufacutur coupon together and get the razors for .99. so i had to pay 2.99. oh what a bummer. i am just learning how the walgreens thing works but so far i feel that i am spending more there than other places so far.

        • Kellye

If they don’t let you use coupons and RRs, then just tell them to put the item back. Don’t buy it. If they know you will buy it anyway, they won’t bother to work with you on the deal. If you “offer” to take your business else where they are more likely to try to keep you buying from them by working with you.

    • Christie

Just wanted to let you know the Dove RR are still going as well…Purchase 8 get $10, 6 get $8

      • Susan

I went to the Ooltewah, TN Walgreens this morning because I wanted to do the Dove deal. The shelf has the B1G1 free tags, but no tag talking about a RR deal. Also the sale paper only mentoned the B1G1 deal, no RR. Could this be a regional sale only? I even asked a manager, and she said she wasn’t aware of a RR deal on it, and said if I wanted to I could buy the items and try it–though I decided not to because if it hadn’t given me RR I would have then wanted to return everything, and I didn’t want to cause her a lot of work! Is there any place I can check to know for sure? If this area IS doing it, I would sure like to purchase some….

        • Jenny

          Susan,

That is a monthly deal and they are not advertised anywhere. every area runs the same monthly deals it just takes stepping out on faith for them because rarely will you see them in writing anywhere other than on deal blogs.

          • Tracie

Does anyone know if the Gillette Fusion is still printing RR?

          • Susan

Thanks so much for your encouragement to go ahead and try it–just did the Dove deal at the Ooltewah, TN Walgreens this morning an it worked great! The manager hadn’t even known if it was a RR deal or not, but said a lot of people had been asking her so she encouraged me to try it as well and said if the RR didn’t print out she would be happy to do a return on the whole purchase for me! How nice!

    • Tahsha

Just a quick filler question. I have just moved to where I have a Walgreens and have just added them to my CVS/ Publix/ Kroger runs…What is the cheapest item that you have found for fillers? I found the $0.25 Christmas gift bags tonight, but you mentioned a 5 cent filler above….To what are you referring?

      • heather

Jenny is probably referring to .05 or above. When you use a RR to pay for your purchases you have to be exact on your total to the penny. Example if the items you purchase are going to coast you 7.98 after coupons and you want to use an 8 dollar RR you need a filler of 2cents or more.
There are usually pencils and other children/school supplies that you can find for a really low price.

        • http://bulgrien.blogspot.com Kim

From what I have noticed….the filler item is needed to get your coupon/item number to be the same. The RR counts as a coupon. So, if you have 3 items and are using 3 coupons and PAYING with a RR, then you need one more item. Was that as clear as muddy water?

      • Beth

        Tahsha,
Sometimes you can find .05 caramels in a plastic bin at the register. One week I found .20 lip balm on the clearance end cap. You can use any item with a store coupon as your filler item. For example, last week I used the in ad coupon to get .50 salt as my filler. Walgreen’s accepts a store coupon AND a manu coupon on the same item. Hope that helps you.

Is the Bayer contour monitoring system included in the (buy $20.00 on these participating products get $5.00 RR) deal on pg 14 of the sale paper? It’s on the same page so I was’nt sure.

      • avenlee

Yes, the meter is included in the buy 20.00 get 5.00 RR. If you have two coupons for the up to 30.00, then it’s a money maker! I wonder if you buy the meter and the Bayer (total 19.98) if it will kick out the 5.00 RR?

        • RM

I have feeling that we would need to get to the 20 dollar mark If you have 2 monitoring coupons that would work wouldn’t it? I don’t so here’s what I plan to do.
          1 monitor
          2 Bayer aspirin
3 suave shampoos they are 3 for $5 with 2RR
plus 1 filler (hopefully some popcorn is left)
          total 30.22
use monitor coupon value will be -14.99
2 Bayer -$1.50 coupons (for a total of -$3.oo off)
          1b1g1 free suave
          1 -.75 off 2 suave
and $9.oo RR (from the zantac last week )
          total coupons 29.40
          pay .82 cents Plus tax
          get back $5RR and $2RR

        • RM

ok just to let u know that I tried the bayer scenario but did not get the $5 RR . The manager said total had to be $20 after coupons. I let it go. I got what I wanted. just no new RR for next week. I just wanted to let you know so that you wouldn’t be dissappointed.

Did you find the Dove RR deal in the ad somewhere or somewhere else? I just want to make sure my stores are doing it before I try it. The only Dove listing I see in my ad is on the back page Buy 1 at $4.99 get 1 free.

      • Jennifer

I did the Dove one today and got 10 RR, no problems.

    • http://walgreens diane

Last night I went to do the triaminic deal – I had the $2.00 off store coupon and a $3.00/2 and $1.50/1. It worked out fine. Then, I decided to do it again. (I had another set of the same coupons) The manager wouldn’t let me do it!!!! Is that legal? I was so angry!!! But, my salesperson is lovely, so I didn’t get upset there. Should I call Walgreens HQ?

      HELP

      • cari

each store has the right to limit quantities. I have a store that only allows one deal per person no back to back transactions of the same deal)

but I have at least 3 stores around that allow more.

        • libby

My walgreens won’t even let me do more than one transaction of different items in each one.

    • Debra

I had a great day of savings at Walgreens, these are the items that I purchased:

      (2) DiGiorno Pizzas
      (2) True North Snacks
      (1) Fiber Choice 10 ct.
      (1) Dulcolax 25 ct.
      (1) Chapstick Effects

I got all of this for OOP of only $2.35 after all my coupons and RR that I used.
I also got RR for these items to use next week, $1RR for Pizza, $2RR for True North Snacks, $2.50RR for Fiber Choice, $4RR for Dulcolax and I didn’t get one for the Chapstick, but I still did really good.

    • AWS

Knightsville/Summerville, SC Store: I bought the $0.25 Act popcorn as a filler item to use another RR. I just got home and realized that the expiration date was May 2009!! About to go back … just wanted to make sure everyone looks at the date of theirs also!

    • Mary

      Just got
      4 Dove Shampoos
      4 Dove Conditioners
      6 newspapers
      3 mentos gum
      3 kleenex
      1 gummie savers
      1 box of sudafed
5.01 after coupons got 10 rr back!

    • RM

I noticed in the ad that you get $4.00 in RR WYB the soft soap ensembles pump and refill which would cost 9.98 for both but there was a coupon in this Sundays paper for $3.00 off when you but both. so if you used the coupon it would be 6.98 then you’d get $4.00 RR plus my grocery store had a tear pad with a $4.00 rebate when you buy the pump and refill so oop would be a $2.00 money maker!

      • Carolin

I’ve searched high and low for that rebate. I even sent an email to softsoap asking for the rebate. They said that the store that I purchased it from would have the rebate. My (3) Walgreens didn’t have a rebate. If you have extra rebates I would love to get one from you. I have tons of baby and pet food coupons to give in exchange for the rebate.

        • RM

I am sorry I only snagged 2 and gave the other to a friend however I got mine at Bi-lo in cleveland. Maybe your BI-lo has them. I promise to try and check to see if they have anymore. I have already made my bi-lo run this week. I’ll do what I can.

          • Carolin

I live in Jacksonville, Florida and we don’t have a Bi-Lo here, but I will keep checking other stores. Thank you!

    • Carolin

Did anyone buy the degree deodorant? It was in my sales ad for 2/$7 amd get a $2 RR. I only purchased one and didn’t receive a RR. I’m wondering if you have to buy 2 to get the RR.

      • lynn

hey carolin! yea it sounds like you needed to buy two. walgreens creates these sticky signs that are supposed to go in front of the product. they are red and white and explain in fine print what the details/rules of getting ur register reward. next time just ask someone if you don’t see the sign. show them where you found that you should have received an rr and ask them why u didn’t get one? some emps/managers might get annoyed bec we’re so awesome at saving money!!! :) but definitely ask

    • Donna Stamey

I just made a run to Walgreens and they have the reed diffusers on sale that we had the deal on at CVS last week. They are selling at Walgreens for $5, so if you still have any $3 coupons you can get ’em for $2. Just wanted to let you know since it’s not in their ad and is such a good deal with the Q.

    • Tanya

Just wanted to know what you guys do with all the boo coo’s of shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste, etc. I got a great supply going on but I feel maybe is should do more with it instead of just watch my collection grow!!!

      • avenlee

I keep a bag handy that I fill with all these kinds of extra stuff that I accumulate during the month and donate to the local shelter. My church also gets donations from me.

    • Monica

There is a buy any softsoap emsembles hand soap and get a free replacement base coupon in SS 10/25.

    • Monica

The last time I was at Walgreens, they told me that I had to have the same amount of items as I did coupons + RR (8 items with coupons and 4 rr would add up to 12 pieces of paper, making IT more than items). Has anyone else had this problem?

      • Deanna

This is just the WAG policy and is why Jenny adds “filler” items to make the items to coupons ratio even! Just a hint though, WAG ad coupons don’t count toward your coupon total. WAG is by far my least favorite couponing store because of this!

        Hope this helps!

    • Toya

If you have a BOGO coupon, can you use 2 to get both items free?

      • RM

no you can’t. However if you shop at rite-aid and they are having a BOGO free sale and you have a bogo free coupon (for the item they have on sale) u will get the item for free . Plus tax. I hope this helps. For example
        tag body spray bogo
        use bogo tag coupon
        free1 Plus tax

I have a question about peelies and wasn’t sure where to put it. I’m still learning so please be gentle:) I know that taking peelies off a product that you aren’t buying right then is wrong. I went to Target tonight and they had $1 off of either Skintimate or Edge shaving gel on a bottle of Irish Spring bodywash. Is it wrong to take the peelie and use it at a later date? The coupon was strictly for the shaving gel and not the bodywash. I HATE it when I go to buy a product and the peelie is gone. I don’t want to cause this same feeling for someone else. THANKS!

      • RM

Caroline. Don’t take the peelie it is meant to be used by the person buying (the product that it is on at the moment). Hope this helps.

    • Tracey

Just wanted to let everyone know that in Cumming GA the Walgreen’s at theintersection of Hwy 369 and Hwy 306 DOES NOT honor their register rewards. They are always out of the products that will be free with register rewards and then will not give you a raincheck! If you make a big issue of it they might give you a raincheck to get it for free later but then you can’t use a manf coupon!

    • Rachel

Am I being dense?? How is Clorox bleach 29 cents with either of those coupons?

    • Annamarie

I wanted to say that I went to my store today with 2 of the Stacy’s pita chip $1 off coupons for the 2/$6 with $2RR. The machine beeped and didn’t take the coupon because it was for 5.5-6.5 oz bags and they only carried the 8oz bags. The mgr was nice and rang it for me anyway. My store is wonderful to deal with and I hate that others don’t have such great customer service!

    • Rose

I went in to Walgreens today with a 6.00 register reward, a 1.00 register reward and 4 coupons for items that were eligible for register rewards this time. They said I could only use 4 coupons cause I had 4 items. Is that true?

      • http://none Nancy

Yes….it’s true and one of the tricks of playing the couponing game. A RR counts as a coupon and you cannot use ( anywhere that I know of) more coupons than you have items. If you are trying to use up rr’s before they expire buy something cheap ( like a pack of gum or a pencil) that will count as an “item and will allow you to use another “coupon”. Hope this helps…I work for WG’s!

      • RM

Rose I know it’s weird but this is how you have to do it. let’s say u have 5 items and 5 coupons and one RR. The RR counts as a coupon and at Wags you have to have 1 item for each coupon (or RR) so with your 5 coupons and one RR u actually have 6 coupons so u must have 6 items that u are purchasing. That’s why u need a small filler item. On Sunday I usually get a News paper OR CHECK OUT their clearance. Some people get the small caramels by the register for like 30 cents. Like I said Wags is weird about this. However I was told that soon they will be more set up like CVS. I hope this helps
