Scenario Idea

  • Instead of planning something massive this week I want to walk you through the basics. At Walgreens your Register Reward is a manufacturer coupon. This means for you to use it to pay for a deal you may need to have a “filler item” so that you have one manufacturer coupon per item.
  • Transaction #1
    Buy:
    (6) Maalox 12 oz., $5.24 ea
    Use:
Manufacturer Coupon (6) -$5 off Maalox product, SS 1/09
    Total Due: $1.44
    Get Back: $10 RR
  • Transaction #2
    Buy:
    (1) Nivea for Men Arctic Freeze Shave Gel or After Shave, 3.3 oz., $3.99
    (1) Huggies Jumbo Pack Diapers, $8.99
    (1) small filler item
    Use:
Manufacturer Coupon -$1 off Nivea body product, 2.6 oz +, (register) printable (limit reached)
Manufacturer Coupon -$2 off Huggies Little Snugglers or Movers, SS 1/23
    -$10 RR
    Total Due: Nothing!
    Get Back: $5 RR ($2, $3)
    • Dianne L

I filled out the registration form at the Nivea site, but when I submitted it, the next screen had no place that I could see to print a coupon. What do I need to do? Thanks!

      • Iris

        It is out of prints

    • Katiekittie18

Will all Walgreen's accept Target coupons? There is not a Target in my town…

      • firstbrownie

They should, as long as it says “Manufacture Coupon” on the top. Some Target coupons are store coupons, so just check for that, because they would not take it then. HTH!

    • Jlaleonard

There is a MF $1 coupon on Ruffles or Sunchips 9 oz to use only at Walgreens. Found this at http://pepsicofootballdotcom/Home.aspx

    • Imajine

Also, Walgreens doesn't do half price on items that are buy one get one free. You have to get two to get the “free” one. You can't just buy one and expect it to ring up half price.

      • Yep. The same way we do groceries in Florida.

    • karen

does anyone know how much the maalox is gonna be if it is under 5.00 i dont think they will take the coupon,

      • Jnn_horan

        Maalox will be 5.24.

    • Dee

What zipcode did you use for the Gold Bond BodyWash>

      • Jnn_horan

Lots of 1.00 peelies on the body wash – hopefully all are not gone.

      • Steph @ Wags

There’s a $1.00 off coupon at smartsource.com. I didn’t put in a zipcode. It was a few pages in. HTH!

      • Astridholliman

        90210

    • Randi

How do you get the Wonderful Pistachios to be 2.49? I can't figure it out or was it a typo?

      • Jnn_horan

        2.99

    • KellyS

When you do the get $x RR WYB $x deals, is this before or after coupons are taken off?

    • mp

I could never see quilted northern coupon………..can someone please help me.

    • Bcogmom

Maxwell House Coffee is on sale and there is $1.00 off Q in 11/14RP, can be used on the International in the little cans as well. Makes it 1.79 which is a good deal.
Also, I have a $3 Q for Glad Force Flex trash bags (don't remember where it printed from) paired with the $1 in store makes trash bags $2.99 which is good.

      • Bcogmom

the glad q's worked today with the $1 store q….Awesome deal!

    • wendyc33

with the 3.00/1 glad bag coupon and the 1.00/1 store coupon it could end up costing 2.99 each. not too bad.

      • LynetteC.

I was thinking the same as you! I have (2) $3 off Glad Force Flex do you think they will apply to the actual item on sale? I sure hope so!!

        • Katiekittie18

They are off any size. I actually used two at Wal Mart today b/c I really needed some trash bags. I saved another b/c I was hoping that I might happen to run across a better deal (they were like $4 something w/ coupon).

      • Jenifer1999

Have you tried this? I'm going to today but not sure if it will work, as the WG Q states its a Manufacturer Coupon good at Walgreens, as opposed to a Walgreens only coupon. I know others have had problems with these Qs being paired with other manufacturer coupons in the past.

        • Jenifer1999

It worked…. the computer took both coupons. Only problem I had was the garbage bags rang up at the non-sales price, but the cashier did a price adjustment to fix it for me. :o)

    • Lucy

$5 RR WYB $20 or $10 RR WYB $30 of the following products:
Maalox, 90 ct., or Liquid, 12 oz., at 25% off

      Here's an easy Money Maker:

      Buy 5 of the Maalox Extra Strength (reg $6.99) @ $5.24 = $26.20
      Buy 1 of the Maalox Adv. Strength (reg $5.79) $4.34 = $4.34

Total = $30.54 Use six $5 off Maalox coupons to bring your oop to $.54. Earn $10 RR.

Then, you can buy the Nivea for Men Arctic Freeze Shave Gel or After Shave, 3.3 oz., $3.99 and the Huggies Jumbo Pack Diapers, $8.99 plus a $.25 filler item in your second transaction. Use your $10 RR earned in your first transaction and you'll pay approximately $.20 oop plus you'll receive a $3 RR and a $2 RR.

You'll have all of the items to take home plus you'll still have a $3 and $2 RR to spend on anything you want.

      • Jenni

Just wish my Walgreens would have had more than 2 Maalox products in stock. But according to a cashier, they have been out of stock of those for weeks, and have never restocked.

    • Katiekittie18

I haven't seen the Walgreen's coupon booklet. Is it something in stores or that you recieved in the mail? Are they still in stores?

      • Bamabobbie

It's in store next to the weekly ads. Ot that's where they are at my store.

      • They are in all stores. Usually in the rack with the sale ads. This is a booklet that is released every month in abundance.

    • Crest Pro Health Rinse is 4.99 for the ltr. and has a $2 Wags Q AND has a $2 P&G Q form several weeks ago (expires 1/31) making them .99 each! GREAT DEAL for a ltr!

      • Colgate Pro Clinical also has a $1 Q in the Reinventing Beauty CVS magazine as well.

      • Trdaniel07

cvs has it b1g1 at 2.99 then use your q ,2 for 99

        • I only see the different toothpastes that are BOGO, not the Pro Health rinse.

    • KellyS

$5 RR WYB $20 or $10 RR WYB $30….Do you have to actually spend this amount to get the RR's or is the total based on before coupons are scanned?

      • Stacie

Total to receive the RR is before coupons.

        • KellyS

          Thanks so much Stacie! :)

    • Clwagg22

Does anyone know if Similac infant formula ever goes on sale for really good deals anywhere?

      • Amanda S.

I know Target will run B2G$5 gift card sometimes on the big cans. Have you signed up to receive the checks and samples from Similac? I used to get those like every 2 months last year. just google Similac's website to sign up, or u can usually buy them off ebay as well. :) HTH

        • Clwagg22

Thanks! I already get the checks I just put my lil girl on formula and I never seem to find it on sale anywhere.

          • Cputman200

When I was buying Similac I seemed to get the best price per ounce using the checks from the mail at Costco. Watch the coupon trading on Southern Savers, a lot of people trade the checks and coupons. Also f you use Swagbucks they have a $3 coupon right now and when you use the coupon you earn 10 SBs.

            • Clwagg22

Do you know if Sams takes the checks?

            • andie98

yes Sam's take the checks, since they are a rebate check and it runs like cash. They do not accept coupons though.

            • Ladybugpam

I would like to know if they check that you are the one named on the check in case I wanted to give my checks to someone in need. Thanks!

            • southernmommy

I've used checks with another name and it was never a problem. I am sure your friend would appreciate that!!

      • Paigejade

I used to use my checks and buy formula by the case at babysrus. It came out a better deal that way and I was stocked up for a while.

      • MissPure1

Similac is $3.84 at Walmart and there are $3 coupons out there.

    • Natalie

Does anyone know how much Gas-X Prevention runs @ Walgreens?

      • Lucy

The regular price of GasX Prevention is around $6.49. With the 25% off, it will be $4.87. Unfortunately, you'd have to purchase 7 of them to reach the $30+ mark if that's the only product in your purchase: 7 X $4.87 = $34.09. Use seven $4 coupons $34.09 – $28 in coupons = $6.09 due. Receive $10 RR. $3.91 MM (If you pay tax on over-the-counter medicines, you'll only be making about $1 or so after the dust settles so it's not that great of a deal unless you really need the Gas X Prevention.)

        • Natalie

Thank you Lucy! That was helpful!

        • Denisee

          I came up with Malox=$15.75 & Gas X 4.87=$20.59 to get a 5 RR

      • karen

i am in maine just got 2 bottles for 4.89 not sure of price where you are should be close

    • For the stayfree pads, can you use the B1G1 coupon AND one of the $1 off coupons? So if you buy two they would be $1 for two of them?

      • Ladybugpam

I used both @ Rite Aid last week, no problem! If the wags cashier/computer accept them together then yep-$1 for 2 of them!!

        • Awesome! Would it matter which coupons scanned first??

          • Ladybugpam

yes, it does! Jenny tells us in the Guide to Walgreens that the order to give your coupons to the cashier is:
            Any $/$$ (like $5 off $20 purchase)
            Register Rewards
            B1G1 manufacturer coupons
            Other Manufacturer coupons
            Then Store coupons
*so give your B1G1 first, then the $1 off

I am really glad she figured this out for me! It saved me lots of trouble knowing just how it works at Wags.

    • Mike

For a B1g1 50% off deal. Do you ned to use two $ 1.00 off couons for the product or just 1 coupon? For example Always at WAGS is buy 1 get 1 50% off?

      • Jnn_horan

        2 coupons

    • Miocco

I noticed you are using 6 Maalox coupons to make this deal, but I only get two papers on Sunday. Do you suggest buying more in the future?

      • IMO it is rare to buy 6 of the same item on .the same week. BUT I personally buy 4 papers and my sister buys 3 so often we combine our coupons. It depend on how much you coupon- because remember you have to buy the papers first!

        • yeah but you could also use the RRs to get your papers for the next week… WG has so many crazy rules that I usually do this

      • Jenni

For the large register rewards (or large Extra Bucks or UPs, for that matter) I've found that I'm always going to need 5 or 6 coupons to do the deals, this one being a case in point. I always buy 6 papers on the Sundays that there are coupons. (I have a family of 5, and there are some things, like peanut butter, etc, that I try to stock up on when they go BOGOF, and since I don't like to use a clipping service, I've found 6 papares is also about the number of coupons I need to do that as well.)

    • Lisa H

Can anyone tell me what zip code to use to print the Gold Bond lotion?

      • Tatianassecret

        Try 90210. It's on page 2.

      • Astridholliman

        I foundd it under 90210

    • Rdts60

Taget has coupons for Suave Lotion (75) and Caress Bodywash or Bar soap ($1)

    • Eseddy618

The kraft macaroni and cheese coupon printed as a target web coupon. Does walgreens still take it?

    • guest

Does anyone know where i can print a Maalox coupon? I am one coupon short and even if it is like a $2.00 off its still ok. If it is like coupons. com what zipcode? Thanks!

      • Lucy

If you are a Maalox coupon short, do you have any Gas-X Prevention $4 coupons? You could buy five of the Maalox at $5.24 each ($26.20 total) and one of the Gas-X Prevention at $4.87. Your total before coupons would be $31.07. Use five $5 off Maalox coupons and one $4 off Gas-X coupons to bring your oop total to $2.07 (plus tax).

      • Jnn_horan

Combine with the GasX which has a 4.00 coupon.

    • Mcaprilsp

The cashier at my Walgreen's just said they do not take computer printed coupons and also said coupons & register rewards couldn't exceed the amount of items purchased. I bought 2 items, had 2 coupons but she wouldn't let me use any regiser rewards. Is this correct? New to couponing at Walgreen's.

      • Krdlgr

This is correct. You have to have as many items as you have coupons and register rewards…example 2 ponds cream and 2 ponds cream coupons and say you would like to pay with a RR you would have another item which is why she usually has listed filler items, things under 50cents to help make your purchases. This only applies to Walgreens though and you don't have to worry about it when shopping CVS or Riteaid.

      • GA~mommy

since when did they stop accepting computer coupons?! they do at my stores, i would double check with the manager, AND the coupon policy

      • Jnn_horan

        2 items, 2 coupons and a RR makes 3 coupons ……. rule of thumb …. 1 item, 1 coupon.

    • Lucy

Chex Mix, 8.75 oz., or Bugles, 7.5 oz., $3.33

The $3.33 price listed is incorected. It's 3 for $3.99 ($1.33 each). Use the January IVC to make the price $1.00. Use the $.50/2 coupon from the 1/2/11 GM insert and the price drops to $.75 each.

Through 1/23, there's a $3.50 RR when you buy 5. Purchase 5 for $3.99 after IVC and two $.50/2 coupons. Receive $3.50 RR. Bottom line: $.50 for 5 bags of Chex Mix ($.10 per bag)

[In case you were thinking it's better to purchase 6 bags of Chex Mix and using three $.50/2 coupons, you'll actually end up paying $1.00 for 6 bags ($.17/bag). Stick with 5 bags for the cheaper price…]

      • Lisa

FREE CHEX MIX If you use the safeway football booklet, there is a coupon for 1.00/1. Great money maker. Only on Sunday.

        • Lisa

Total for 5 Chex Mix —- .17 tax!!!

      • Ronibigdogmom

I bought my 5 bags for .50 Thank you for the heads up! I have never paid .10 per bag. Yay!!! :)

      • Jnn_horan

Worked this out .. @ 1.33 per bag, the first 3 bags with the wags q. will cost 3.00, the next 2 bags will cost 2.66 since the wags q is .99 on 3 so the total will be 5.66, subtract two .50/2 is 4.66, minus the 3.50 RR brings it to 1.16 for 5 bags. Bottom line is you pay .10 only if the register automatically takes of .33 on each one, disregarding its own q. .99/3

        • Lucy

The Walgreens coupons don't apply limits. If they have a $.99/3 (as in this case) they'll even take off $.33 if you only purchase a single bag or they'll take off $1.33 if you purchase 4 bags. The register automatically adjusts for the number of items in your purchase.

As with many $/# sales in stores, Walgreens is hoping that you'll purchase in full quantities when you see the coupon in the booklet. Thankfully the registers automatically adjust for incremental purchases.

The sale worked great, by the way. Bought many bags for $.10 each and now the food bank will be the reipient of a nice donation. :-)

    • Lauren

The Kraft Mac and Cheese link takes you to Target and prints as a Target coupon. Does Walgreens take competitor coupons now?

      • Sas32_98

        No

      • Cyforbes42

no walgreens doesnt take competitor coupons

      • Eseddy

I printed the same coupon. Annoying.

    • Mandy

I'm new to shopping at Wal-greens and using RR. I have 45 dollars in RR from several deals this week, (4-$10.00 RR's and 1-$5.00 RR) can I now use these and “roll them” to buy THIS week's deals that have RR's and to try to pay as little out of pocket asI can and then get more RR's?? I know it's different then CVS';s ECB program. Help! :) Thanks!

      • Cyforbes42

yes u can use them now to roll but remember always have cheap fillers in your basket in case u have more coupons than items.. lets say u have a 5.00 reward and register wont take another coupon cuz u are at your limit throw in a filler for 39 cents and u can use the 5.00 reward just always be ready for the what if's

        • karen

the single roll toilet paper is 39 cents and the soup is 50 cents great fillers

    • JrCouponator

Are any AJC buyers finding the Kleenex $1 / 4 q from SS 01/02? I have the inserts but only see 50 cents off 3. Maybe it was a variance & I just missed it.

    • Amanda

Can anyone tell me how to get the $2 off loreal coupon for today? I assumed it was in the SS Redplum coupons but it is not. I went to redplum.com and it allowed me to print one $1 off but I was really hoping it was in the paper. Thanks.

    • Emily

Does anyone have any spare maalox coupons? I could really use these, my grandmother needs this product, and It is really expensive. If you hvae it, please email me at msunnary64@gmail.com Thank you so much.

    • haha I just saw the get (6) Maalox 12 oz., There is not a Maalox bottle in the whole state of SC. People went the other day and bought them buy the 20s, Not kidding… As soon as that $5 coupon came out they were gone…

      • Jnn_horan

C'mon down to the great state of Texas….our shelves were fully stocked!

      • syndilew

I used my Maalox at Publix to make a profit to go towards other things I needed. Just a suggestion.

    • karen

maalox chewable tab were 5.99 the liquid was 5.09 in maine not sure what price is down south

    • confused

are the coupons in the walgreens coupon book manufactures or walgreen coupons i tried using one manf coupon with the coupon out of book it wouldnt take i had more items than coupons,

      • GA~mommy

i think they fixed their system like that, they're not manu. coupons though, just walgreens

    • Smurfygrl1979

For this deal…..$4 RR WYB (4) of the participating products at $3 ea:
      Caress Body Wash, 12 oz.
      (buy (4), use (4) $1 off, makes it $1).

I'm confused about the Caress Body wash….where are the $1off coupons coming from? Do you have to buy 4 body washes to get this deal? Also…what are the acorn symbols for? Thanks,,,new to coupons.

      • Jodi

The “(buy (4), use (4) $1 off, makes it $1)” refers to the $1 Suave coupon listed above, not for Caress.

Hold your mouse over the acorn, and you;ll see that it means this is a good time to stock up.

    • Pachick

don't forget to use aarp card/ use parents/ I got a 5Q off any order, also free afrin spray. gives very good savings at times.

      • Please explain the AARP card. Every time I go I forget about it. Thanks for the reminder.

        • chrissy

you give your card to the cashier before they ring up your order. There are several different promotions they run for a month. I believe you can only get on of each deal a month. They do give you some good coupons.

      • Lucinda

Does the AARP card only work at Walgreens or does CVS have deals with it as well?

    • Jenni

Frustrated… “My” Walgreens had only 2 TOTAL Maalox items in the store. I asked a cashier, and she said that they were out of stock of nearly all their Maalox before the sale even began – for weeks, even. And that they've never gotten any more since. Sounds a bit like they knew this sale was coming, and wanted to force people to buy other products, but I could be just too conspiracy-theory minded.

    • Fwalker9

Can anyone tell me the zip code for the $3.00 off coupon for Boost. My husband has cancer and has to take this because he doesn't eat well. Would be a money saver for us. Thanks, Daune

      • Amanda

I couldn’t do it through that link but here is another one that had it. http://www.shopathome.com/GroceryCoupon-Collection1.aspx?SID=12680019&dc=no Hope it works

      • Lucy

We found the cost of Boost wasn't worth the nutritional value it had. :-(

If you check the first three ingredients of Boost, you'll find water, sugar and corn syrup solids — those make up the bulk of the drink but they probably aren't on your list of items that add to the nutritional boost that your husband is needing.

If you're in the label reading mood, compare the weight loss drinks (like SlimFast) to the nutritional supplement drinks. The nutritional supplement drinks have about the same calories and nutrients/vitamins as the weight loss drinks. You'll find that some weight loss drinks have ingredients starting with “Fat free milk, water, sugar”. To add calories, you can refrigerate the drinks until they're ice cold then add a scoop or two of premium ice cream and serve it like a milk shake. The taste is pretty good with the premium ice cream added. ;-)

      • ShopperSteph

As s social worker for people with cancer my agency often recommends Carnation Instant Breakfast as Boost is so expensive.

      • Dawn

I don't see it either. :( I have 5 of the ones from the SS though, would you like those? I have some of the Ensure from this week too if anyone can use those?

        • Hdjubera

My aunt has cancer as well, and this is also the only thing she can seem to keep down. If Fwalker9 doesn't respond with her address, I would really appreciate you sending any other BOOST coupons you have to my aunt. If no one else wants the Ensure, send her those as well. I used those when I was battling anorexia and they really helped me to gain my strength back.

          Here is her address:
          Margie Rodriguez

          Thanks! Holly

      • Susanne

I also have several coupons for Boost and Carnation Breakfast from SS January 2, 2011 that I will be more than happy to mail to you if you give me your mailing info. I am sure others might also have these coupons in their January 2 SS insert.

I am mailing her 6 Boost coupons today. They expire on 02/13/11. Please let her know.

            • Holly

              Wonderful! Thank you so much!

      • Mccuen

I have the January 2 SS insert as well and will send you Boost coupons if you will send me your mailing address as well. Are there any others you are looking for I will be glad to include any I can.

        • Hdjubera

My aunt has cancer as well, and this is also the only thing she can seem to keep down. If Fwalker9 doesn't respond with her address, I would really appreciate you sending any other BOOST coupons you have to my aunt. Here is her address:
          Margie Rodriguez
          8405 N.W. 111th Street
          Oklahoma City, OK 73162

          Thanks! Holly

    • Does anyone know where to get the tearpad coupon mentioned with the Doritos & Tostitos?

    • Tatianassecret

Can you combine the walgreens coupon for keebler cookies with the mf coupon to make it 2 for $2.

      • chrissy

        yes

    • Jenifer1999

Glad trash bags are advertised as $6.99 in the ad, combined with the $1 store q & the $3 Force Flex q makes it $2.99. Just be careful….. at my store just now on the shelf they advertised the Force Flex as part of the sale (I specifically read the shelf tags to make sure) but when the cashier scanned it they rang up at $8.74. She did a price adjustment for me to bring them down to $6.99, then the computer let me use both coupons. I was a happy camper….. that's a great price for those garbage bags!

      • Mary

I had that happen to my about 2 weeks ago, I went back in and talked to the casheir, turned out I grabbed the wrong count. I got the 34 ct of Glad Force Flex trashbags, instead of the ones that were on sale. However, this add clearly says 25 to 80 ct of 13 or 30 gal. I started to do this deal again, but I looked at Dollar Generals price and it was only $5.50, not on sale, but with the $3.00 printable coupon I wound up paying $2.50, $0.49 cheaper than Walgreens Price. I had two of those coupons left, so I bought 2 boxes in two different sizes for $5.00.

        • Jenifer1999

Thanks for the info about DG. I rarely go there, but will do that for these bags….. they are $8 at Target normally, so $5.50 is awesome…. esp combined with the coupon!

    • Bonnieabc

I used my gottobe hair coupon for $1.00 off on some hairspray. My 2.00 register reward didn't print. The manager said it didn't print because I used a coupon. ????I see in their sale ad where they often say coupons in Sunday's paper on products where they are advertising a register reward so this didn't seem right….She was not very happy about it, but printed me a register reward and warned me not to use coupons in the future if I wanted a register reward.

Has this happened to anyone where the register reward didn't print? I didn''t use another register reward to pay for the transaction, so I am curious what the problem was….

      • Jnn_horan

She was wrong… you should have received the RR.

      • newbie

The same thing happened to me last night. I was also told some manufacturers won't let you use the coupon and get the Register Rewards.:(

      • Emily

I sent an email to Walgreens Corporate today regarding this issue. I received a call back earlier. The man told me that in the fine print it says that RR cannot be used in combination with another deal (manufacturer coupon). I live in FL.

    • Question? Bought Pantene at Wags 2/7 with $ 1.00 off two.. I got a $2.00 RR. should I have done seperate trans on the other four. Would I have received $4.00 RR on the other four by doing seperate trans..

      • Jnn_horan

Any items carrying a RR have to be done in separate transactions or you will only receive one RR.

    • Kleirer1

I just started couponing yesterday! So I am brand new….My question is about the “best price” list. It says things like shampoo should be free, but is that for cheaper brands? Are the deals for Loreal Everpure, etc.($2.44) and Pantene shampoos ($1.00) the best I will get with the coupons I have or should I be holding on to them for a little longer to get a better price? Same with nice toothpaste ($.99) vs. a basic toothpaste for free. Thanks in advance for any help!

      • Tammie

Welcome to the couponing world! I think Jenny's site is great! I was able to attend a workshop of hers, which I enjoyed. Just started in July/Aug. I assume you know that “free” means the amount is back on your receipt as a RR (for Walgreens). We used Aim toothpaste for years, cheap, 99 cents. Now using Colgate Total, much more expensive than Aim, and I either get it free or pay 1.00. I shop at Walgreens, CVS, and Rite Aid. Jenny says stick to one store until you get it down pat.

      • CCShad

I can tell you that is a good price for the Loreal Everpure. It usually costs more than $6 per bottle, even $8 at some stores. It is good for color-treated hair b/c it does not have sulfates which are abrasive and wear your color out faster. But you can get cheaper or free shampoo if you are not picky. Same for toothpaste – you can find it for free, but if you like a certain brand, wait for a good price and stock up. Happy shopping!

      • Once you get started with the drug store deals, you should never pay more than what is on the list for this stuff again. You can usually get better deals at CVS on Shampoo and stuff like that. Someone has toothpaste for free (after rewards) almost every week, or there is a coupon to make it free or better. Same thing goes for most all of your toiletries and cosmetic items. I bought 2 Revlon ColorStay Lip Glosses today for 50¢. CVS had them 75% off making them 2.75 each and I had a store coupon for $5 off 2 Revlon products. If I'd has the $1/2 mfg coupon with me, I could have also used it and made a profit. You have to spend a little at first, but start slow and pretty soon you'll be well stocked on everything.

    • Tammie

? about Good Nites, 8.99, get 2 RR. I can not take that 2 RR and buy another pack of Good Nites, correct? Or can I use the 2 RR to buy them, but then will not get RR rewards on that package? Is there a limit on how many I can buy?

      • Chrissy

        Tammie,

You are right. You will not get another rr if you use it to purchase another good nites. You could use it to purchase something that will give you another rr, example would be the men's nivea shave gel or after cream is $3.99 this week. If you check out in cos they may have a coupon for a $1 off. It is giving a $3 rr. You can use your $2 to buy it.
You will get back $3 to use towards your other package of good nites. You will then receive your $2 rr.

        • Tammie

Thanks, that is what I was thinking. Is there a limit on how many times I can buy the Good Nites? I signed up on the Nivea site, and never saw where to print the coupon, saw where it mentioned the 1.00 coupon, but never got it.

    • Mary

      My trip today: 1 Huggies Diapers, 4 cans of Campbells Chicken Noodle Soup, 2 Stayfree Maxie Pads = $14.93 + 0.07 (tax food) + 0.91 (tax non food) = $15.91 – 5 RR – 1.99 b1g1 stayfree – 1.00 stayfree q – 2.00 huggies q = $5.92 oop RR 2.00, bonus catalina of $2.00 for Kleenex tissues!

    • Macapps

has anyone ever tried to use expired RR? I forgot I had one.

      • it depends on the store. I've had stores take some a few days old and I've also been told no to an expired RR at 12:30am the next day! so I'd try it!

    • mom2two

I live in Alabama. I cannot find the 5$ Maalox coupon. Does anyone know if that is just a regional coupon??

      • Musiclady0110

I live in the Tuscaloosa area and it wasn't in my insert either but it was in the Birmingham News if you know anyone in that lives area that could share with you. Hope this helps.

      • Tammy

I live in East TN and I couldn't find it either.

    • Tammy

Went to the second option to get the $1 coupon for nivea. Gave all my information and there is no tab to print a coupon…

      • Musiclady0110

Same thing happened to me :(

    • mom2two

Another question, I received a few free product (up to 5.99) excedrin coupons. Could I use those for the walgreens deal this week??

    • kristenk

looking at the scenario idea where it says to use (6) maalox coupons… do some of y'all actually buy 6 newspapers to get that many coupons? or am i missing something? is there a way to get more coupons w/o buying that many newspapers?

      • Susanizanurse

I buy whole inserts on a weekly basis & have done so for > 6 months. I file by the insert & cut as I need them. If it's a hot coupon that I know I'll want or that wasn't included in my lot of inserts, I'll order what I need from a clipping service or Ebay. I do not buy newspapers.

        • Melinda4

How do you buy just the inserts, I have been splitting the price 10 Sunday papers with a friend about $15 a month. I hate all the extra paper we accumulate and I have to sift thru, it is such a waste.

        • Tammie

May I ask, what clipping service do you use? Also, do you have an Ebay person you can recommend or you rather not share?! May I ask how much do you pay for the insert?
          Thanks.

        • Susanizanurse

You can buy “whole” inserts on Ebay. If you look around a bit & buy regularly, you can get hooked up with a seller outside of Ebay. My seller has asked that I not reveal pricing but I pay less than .85/insert shipped, which is worth my time verses dealing with papers, which can't be delivered to my house (live in the boonies) & I'm not interested in driving all over town hunting papers. I like to know my inserts are coming regardless. I've used coupon clippers & coupons by dede (I think this is the name) but I usually buy from Ebay bc I don't like dealing with minimum order amts & finding 1 of what I'm after here but finding another of what I'm after over there. Really though, I usually manage to have what I need for the things I'm after. I wanted more Maalox qs and Peter Pan qs so I bought some from Ebay sellers but you have to pay attention to where the seller is located, the weather, etc… to know you'll get them promptly since a blizzard in the midwest will for sure delay the mail from Arizona, etc… I can tell you an Ebayer I have bought from multiple times in the past that's now set up a site outside of Ebay – couponingforchester or couponingtochester (can't recall). The shipping is fast but I found cheaper pricing elsewhere. Another thing I do is buy inserts from a couple weeks past if they have “hot” coupons in them.. I've been able to snag inserts a lot cheaper, i.e. as little as $3 for 5-10 whole inserts shipped, since they price goes down the longer they've been out. This doesn't work for everyone since some say it costs more than newspapers, but for me, it works so much better as I don't like to worry w/ finding what I want when I need it, etc… I pay by the month & know that I'll get a set # of every insert that comes out on Sundays.

          • Melinda4d

Thanks so much. This will really help save time for me.

      • Bbeteag

I am in Atlanta area and we get a free newspaper on Thursdays (mostly ads) that has the coupons in it.

      • looking4abargain

I live in Charlotte, we get a paper (a flyer) with smartsouce and redplum delivered to our homes on Tues. My neighbors don't use coupons at all, so they leave theirs in my box. So I get 6-10 a week for free. WHen I find a good deal I do share it with them, but usually I donate a lot of items to the shelter, if I get it for next to nothing.

    • Susanizanurse

I did the Maalox RR deal (bought 1 GasX w/ $4/1 q as only had 5 Maalox coupons) , the Almay RR deal with the eyeshadows as per Christie (I had no coupons for this deal) , & bought enough full size Hershey candy bars to be set for both our girls' Vday school parties this AM (30 to be exact) & spent a whopping $6.06 oop, used a $10 RR from last week's Sinex deal & skipped to my car with $17 in RR for next week! Oh, & I bought 5 dark choc/mint Christmas tree candies to get my total to over $10 so I could use the RR (they were .12 each & I love 'em!). I be lovin' Wags today!

      • Clwagg22

What Almay RR deal are you referring too?

    • Beth

So completely DONE with Walgreen's. RR's didn't print for either Nivea or Pantene deals this morning. Cashier said it was because I used a coupon on those products??? Anyone having this happen? I've been doing Walgreen's for 2 years and have never dealt with this. Sticking to CVS.

      • None

did you return the items? you would be out your coupon but not the $$

        • meme

They can return the coupon also. They make out like it is locked in an inaccessible place, but they can finish a transaction and then unlock the drawer and pull the coupon out. I have refused to leave without the coupon or being reimbursed for it. The store will get the money for that coupon so it is your right to get it back if not completing the transaction.

    • kasey

I just put in all my info for the Nivea cpn and it said information has been successfully sent with no cpn.

      • Kidsryourlegacy

that happened to me today–no email response. not sure what will happen-the site does say that I would receive a $1. coupon. hmmm–in the mail perhaps?

    • Kay

      8 bottles of Maalox
      6 rolls of toilet paper
      1 Artic shaving gel
      the total was .$40.06
      plus tax $3.05
      Total $43.11
minus the 8 ($5 Maalox coupons)
      equal $3.11
      I paid $3.11
I got 8 bottles of Maalox (any one need any?) 6 rolls of toiltet paper and 1 Artic shaving gel free
with the coupons and the profit money
and I also got $3 RR from the gel and $5 from the Maalox

      • msivory20

Actually I was thinking how sad it was this week that I didn't have any of the $5 Maalox q's to use for this transaction because we use that stuff quite regularly! :)

    • MissG818

Picked a couple of pizzas for movie night next week. Red Barron's Pizza is on sale for 2 for $5.00. I used 2 manufacturer's coupons for $1.00 each. Total purchase was $3.10, savings was $6.98 (Walgreen's advertised savings $4.98 and Mfg coupon $2.00).

    • Sheila

The coupons in the easy saver book will they take off twice if I buy two items.
also someone said they view them as manufactor coupons now is that true. I know they didn't use to.

      • Kelleyzoo

some are mfg and some are store qs. They will say if they are mfg.

    • Catherine

Got the Maalox deal–I couldn't believe it but they actually had more than 12 bottles on the shelf so I took six to do the full deal. Yay! Got the 10RR no problem.

Also got some Aveeno and John Frieda shampoo/conditioners that were on 75% clearance in the back of the store. The Aveeno was a few cents after a $1.50/1 coupon and the John Frieda were MMs after two $2/1 coupons. I think both were from SS but I'm not sure of the date. A few days ago they also had Herbal Essences at $1 that would have qualified for the BOGO P&G coupon but they were gone today. Also lots of styling products that would be cheap or free if you use them. Worth a look if you stop in.

I ran into a problem with the Glad bags, though. My cashier said that they did not accept internet printables (I had the $3 off force flex) and I said “sorry to be difficult, but that's not the policy”. She tried to say it was the store policy but I insisted that it is CORPORATE policy and pulled it up on my phone while she called the mgr. He (very helpful guy who I will have to be on the lookout for) called the Verify number and told her to run them through. I felt guilty that of course a huge line formed just as she was refusing to accept my coupons and there was no backup available, but they were legit and if they hadn't fussed I would have been on my way.

      • lookin4abargain

good for you. It makes me so upset, when they think we are doing something wrong becuse we print some of coupons off the internet. This whole thing about counterfit coupons is starting to drive me NUTS… Is there no such things as counterfit money? They should focus more on that issue and leave us hard working moms, trying to save money legally alone. Just venting a little, can you tell I ran into this problem this week at good old WALMART!!!!

    • Hmiller76

Never shopped at Walgreens before, so I have a quick question. The ad says the price after a in store coupon. Does this mean they have the coupons there for you to get or do I have to track them down somewhere??

      • Jnn_horan

in store coupon booklet on a rack near the weekly ad when you enter the store.

      • Kelly C

If your store is like mine, they usually have the book right at the register. But I would make sure they know to use the coupon from the book. Sometimes they don't know there's a coupon in there.

      • Bamasaver

At my store, they often will have a bunch of the coupons stapled together at the shelf right by the item.

      • Fgavent

Make sure you have them scan the coupon! This is NOT an automatic saving!

    • Sheila

can you use 2 easy saver coupons in the same transaction on 2 same products?

      • Sheila

Yes you can buy 2 same items using 1 easysaver coupon in the same transaction. My awesome walgreens cashier helped me..That was as clear as muddy water right.

    • New to Couponing in GA

On the Pond's towellette deal that is B1G1, can I use 2 coupons for the 2 items or can I use only 1 coupon for the set since it is B1G1? I live in Atlanta.

      • msivory20

Yes, you should be able to use two coupons for the items :) Feel free to check the coupon policy for Wags that Jenny has posted.

    • Stacielovescoupons

What do I do now that I realized my $10 RR printed as a $5 RR? Is there a number that I call? I know they don't handle that in the store, and I've never had this happen at Walgreens. Thanks for any help!!!

    • Kim A

DH bought a bag of M&Ms and got TWO coupons for Free Breathe Right Nasal Strips and $2.00 off a Kleenex package

    • anneconover

Someone said there is an unadvertised RR deal on Kleenex. Can anyone confirm this?

      • Michelle

Yes, they were on sale for .89 and buying 6 gives you a 1.50 RR…I used a 3.00 RR and 1.00 RR and a .50/3Q for Kleenex…came out to be a great deal!

    • Deephillip

went to walgreens tonight. Some good unadvertised deals. Glade winter collection items are clearanced. I got three glade spray air freshners for 49cents each after my three dollar coupon on any three winter collection items. The glade winter collection candles are crearanced as well. They have also clearanced their home collection items(clocks , coasters, wall hangings, and candle holders all 50% off.

    • Newbie here. :) I just picked up the Walgreens Savings Book for Jan. that says 'Grab your parth playbook' on one side of the book. I was reading the fine print on those and am confused. Are those MQ's or WQ's? It says “Instant Value Coupon Good At Walgreens” but in the fine print says Manufacturer Coupon good only at Walgreens. Any help would be greatly appreciated. :)

      • Thriftyspender

see post above..its for you…sorry it went as regular comment

    • Thriftyspender

Those are store coupons. If it has one barcode, store name on it, and NO redemption address on it, then you know it is store specific. Sometimes you will see a coupon that says “Use only at Walgreens” but has 2 barcodes, says manufacturer coupon, and barcode starts with a '5' or '9', and a redemption addres (Mail to for reimbursement in fine print)…they can be used as the manufacturer coupon anywhere. Hope I could help.

    • Vivianleigh

Frustrated! Went to print the $3/2 diaper coupon and couldn't find it at all when it linked me to coupon.com

Also tried to get the kraft mac and cheese coupon, linked to target, and didn't see that one either. I'm new to this, but what am I doing wrong?

      • Mdavis1205

I printed a $3 off 1 by mistake today. No little ones. I will be happy to mail it to you. I have some other huggies coupons that I was going to trash. Was going to try coupon trading, but don't really have enough time. Coupons states $3 off any one huggies snug and dry 60ct or higher. I live in Charlotte not sure when you need it by, if you want it.

    • Mary

I just ran into my first real problem at Wgs, said that they no longer accept internet printed coupons. Finished my 1st transaction, left everything else…B1G1s on Stayfree.

      • anneconover

That is not right. I just checked the coupon policy on their website AND did a chat with a representative. Their policy has not changed. You need to complain to that manager. Where is this?

        • Mary

I knew something was wrong. I know I used internet printed coupons Sunday, no one said anything. The cashier, whom by the way looked almost embarassed, said they should not have taken them Sunday. She even called someone on the phone, I dont know if it was inside the store or a district manager, and he / she said no they no longer take them. I said fine, but I will not be doing the 2nd transaction. I had asked if it was ok to do 2 when I first got to the register. When I got home I did call the CR number, and spoke with a very nice lady. From what I gathered from her, although she did not seem to be very knowledgible, she said she knew that Walgreens takes THEIR internet printables, but that the coupons from other sites, that might be a different case. Since she did not know for sure, she got my name and phone number and said that she would give it to a supervisor and have him investigate and call me back. If they stop taking them at my local store, no point in going there, unless it is a really good deal and I need it right then. I am located in South GA, close to FL.

          • Syndilew

This is why I have stopped completely shopping at Walgreens. There coupon policy is so screwed up and the supervisor who calls you back will do nothing. I called two weeks ago because of the Bic pens that were on sale for $1.99 and the $2.00 off coupon. I get to the register and they won't accept my coupon because it is over the amount of the item. Even after showing them their coupon policy they still refused to let me have the pens. I was told that a supervisor would get back to me and still have yet to hear anything from them. I had previous problems with them accepting coupons that didn't scan. I only use Walgreens if it is a straight forward transaction with a Walgreens coupon or a newspaper man. qpon.

      • Jenni

If you have a Rite Aid near you, they accept printables (clearly stated in their policy), and they are having another BOGOF sale on these next week!

    • jennifer b

can you stack coupons at walgreens?

      • lookin4abargain

you can, but its a little complicated. You must purchase a filler item. Something for about .25-.50 to go along with your purchase. Walgreens coupons, eventhough they can be only be used at walgreens state they are man. coupons. So the sytem thinks you are trying to use 2 man. coupons for 1 item. Whenever I have 2 coupons to stack, if I am not buying anything else but that item, I grab a .25 book of matches that are kept by register. Hope this helps. If you need further clarification let me, I will be glad to help. mdavis1205@aol.com

You can use a walgreens coupon from the salespaper or the easysaver book with a maufactor coupon. Hope that helps

        • jennifer b

          that helps. thanks

    • Sheila

My store had some of the maalox and gas x at a lower price had to be sure to get the right amount for the 30.00. So. be careful and check your prices almost had a 1.50 less and would have only got 5.00 RR instead of 10.00.

    • Rbryant1201

Anyone having issues with the Huggies Pull-ups coupon? When I click on the get coupon button I keep getting an error and it won't let me print it out. :(

    • Repcar

I couldn't get the Nivea coupon even after I filled out the thing twice. Any one else have issues with it or is it just me?

      • Tiffanyrose

        I didn't get one either. :(

    • Ddangelw6

There is also a red baron rebate available for up to $6.49

    • Thank you, thank you… I love that I can now go into Walgreens and spend very little – today only 1.75 total including taxes – and get items I need as well as add to my stockpile of items I will need in the near future.
