The Wag’s children’s activity book has a $1 coupon for Huggies diapers or training pants!

thanks for all you do, Jenny! :)

      • Courtney

        LOL! you’re quick!

        • Janet Paula

the code for huggies qpon is 2035. All u need to do is tell the cashier the coupon code and they type it in!

          • Tricia

New to couponing question- When you do a deal like this, does it come out cheaper per diaper than if you bought a giant box at Sam’s? I’m trying to weigh the time and trouble of using coupons and rebates against the ease of buying in bulk. Thanks for any insight!

            • MIchelle

Funny you should ask! We just price checked this over the weekend at Sams.

I think it wound up to be .17 cents each at Sams buying the largest box we could. On this deal with the 1 off from coloring and 2 off from coupon they turn out to be .14 cents so they are cheaper this time around. If it was regularly 8.99 it is cheaper at Sams, if it was 8.99 with 2 dollars off it is still cheaper at Sams, if it is 8.99 with the 2.00 and 1.00 from the book it is slightly better at Sams but with the RR it makes it a no brainer!

      • Anna

I just saw on iheartwags.com that walgreens has a new coupon flyer in stores today that has a $1 off huggies wipes. sweetens the deal a little!

    • Awesome deal on the Bic razors, two bags of disposable razors for free!! Can’t wait to snag this deal.

      • MIchelle

We must live out in the sticks or something. I have 4 copies of the 1/10 SS and there are no bic coupons in here anywhere!

It is always the case it seems.

      • amy

Please read the wording in the Jan. coupon book (walgreen’s coupon) before heading out. According to the way I looked at it, this $3.oo Walgreen coupon is worded to take $3.00 off when you purchase two(2)razor packs, NOT $3.0o off each packet. So, It will not double to take off the $6.00. You will end up buying the two packs for around 3.00+tax.
        Math 5.99+5.99=11.98
        -3.00 walgreen coupon
        – 5.99 B1G1 coupon
= 3.00 out of pocket. (rounded up a few pennies)

        • amy

Oh! NEw thought……….my ad is different than other people’s ad. Perhaps the deal is regional. Anyway, YMMV (your mileage may vary) on this deal…just do the math ahead of time to see what it should be and you’ll end up happy happy . Smiles

      • I just got the razors. What deal…2 large packs FREE!!

        • Jen

I got the razor deal in Texas. Thanks!

          • Courtney

I went to the Walgreens here in my town, I am in Tennessee and I was so happy about the Bic razors. I had two differant walgreens tell me that I could not do the buy 1 get 1 free with the store and also the coupon to make them both free. They went as far as to say that I was committing coupon fraud!!Is this correct

            • Kim

No dice on the BOGO Bic here in ATL. They ring up full price.

            • CJ

I had the same problem in Chattanooga, TN. The manager would not allow me to get them for free. I’ll try another Walgreens and see what happens.

            • Chantelle

on the razors my wags had them ringing up the first one at 5.99 then the second one at $1. They said I could use the coupon, but it would only take off $1. That stinks! The add said b1G1 so I don’t even know why it would ring up this way and then why wouldn’t they count the coupon for 5.99, they would get reimbursed for that amount????

            • bic razors….. i also went to 2 different walgreens and was told i would have to by 3 razors in order to get one free with my coupon. so buy one get 2 free. i tried to explain that walgreens was giving me the first one for free and bic was giving me the second one free. they said nice try.. then also said that i was attempting to do coupon fraud. that really made me mad. when i showed them jennys printout. they said she didnt know what she was talking about and was trying to get alot of people to commit fraud. i dont intend to go back to either of those walgreens.

    • jr

What zip code do I need to use for the $1.50 off pond’s products?

      • leigh

I would like to know this also.

    • Will the razors automatically ring up as free, or is it a hassle to get them to do it that way? I am big on conflict-avoidance! : )

      • Yeah – I bought the razors this week using the B1G1 coupon and the wags $3 off coupon. They were $5.99 each… so it should have been a total cost of $3 for both. But they insisted that using the wags coupon made them $4.49 each. So that’s all that was deducted. So instead of paying $3 for the two, I paid $4.49 for the two…. It’s didn’t seem quite fair.

        • Courtney

that doesn’t seem right! my cashiers are pretty nice and they let me do the deal like this: buy 2 bic razors at 5.99 each, -5.99 for the B1G1 coupon, -3.00 for the Wags q = 2.99 total for both. i hate it when cashiers get all cranky and mess up a deal! LOL

          • Courtney

i guess i should add that i plan to get both razors free this week. it should work this way: buy 2 bic razors at 5.99 each, -5.99 for B1G1 mfc q, -5.99 for Wags B1G1 special = $0. good luck!

          • Robin

I did the same thing. Give them the manufacture’s coupon first so that they take off the original price then give them the Walgreen’s coupon which will automatically take off $3 from each one.

          • Stacy

I not a cranky cashier. It’s called coupon fraud

            • Courtney

please explain how it is fraud. that is kind of a big accusation when we are just discussing how to get the best deal. i believe Jenny brought this deal to everyone’s attention and i know she would never promote coupon fraud in any way.

        • LD

Yes I had no luck with the dental floss or stayfree deals B1G1 the other week . Tried it at 3 diffrent stores all did the same thing adjust the walgreens coupons and insist on them first [had one say they would not ring them last so if i dont give them now I cant use them ] lol. I can go to walmart get less hassle [ and that is something new for me to say] and pay the same price or wait for Publix to do a good sale . I just wont use a b1g1 at Wags anymore . Not worth the hassle . If they quit deciding what the coupon is worth ] so a walgreens coupon is not worth what it states .

          • Donna

watch out. I got totally hassled at Walmart this week with my Qs. Rude cashier and manager. In the end, I ended up emailing the store, and they called me yesterday. Unfortunately, I was using some FREE hair color that I scored a few weeks ago and missed the call, but he said he’d call me back today. I can’t wait to see what the cashier and manager told him from their side of the story. Good Luck being “less hassled” at Walmart.

            • Amy Cole

I am with you both. No matter how “nice” you are to some people, they are not going to return the favor. Both, (Wags and Walmart) seem to make their own rules…especially the cashiers. It feels like your q’s are coming out of their check.

            • KHub

EVERY time I use coupons at Wal-Mart, I get a hassle. One cashier made me go through my $162 of groceries to prove I had purchased the item (the coupon actually came on the item). Last week the cashier accused me of photo-copying an internet coupon because I had two. I only go there when I HAVE to.

        • lulu

Where is the 3 dollar wag coupon for bic razors located?

      • Syndi

Walgreens and Rite Aid managers bomus’ are based on product sold. I am faithful to my stores, I shop the same Wags and Rite Aid. I know the managers and cashiers, they know that I only use Q’s for that product. It is kind of they scratch my back I scratch thiers. If they are out of an item I get rainchecks that include compensation for RR, but they know I am not going down the street to another store just to score my products. I never have a hassle about my free products. I try to help associates also. 2 of my cashiers and 1 asst mang. are now couponing. Also I had some tylenol cold and flu that was free and gave to a cashier because she didn’t get paid for 4 more days and couldn’t afford it(she had NO q). I suppose what I am saying is these people are just doing thier job and we as couponers should share and be nice. Be faithful to your store and thier employees, and share. I donate to a free clinic, food pantry, store employees, nieghbors, and family. Think about it.. Aren’t you nicer to someone who you know to be honest and hard working (weahter it is q’s are something else) then you are to someone who just comes in once in a while getting something for free??????

        • Amy Cole

I get your point and can appreciate the theory and your gestures, but most of these stores don’t operate the way you describe (check out the ladies story on http://www.honoringtheking.blogspot.com. No matter how nice one trys to be, sometimes it doesn’t make a difference.

          • j.hayes

It also depends on the store on duty. The time of day you are shopping and the level of experience with the cashier. If it is better to shop at a certain store, then do observations on cashiers and different times to shop. Purchase a few items using all coupons, then go through their lines. Establish a brief conversation with them to determine if they or others in their familiy coupon, or explain how much their can save using the coupons. If that attempt does not work and a cashier gives you a hard time, then fill your basket with items using news paper coupons mostly under two dollar. Prepare to differ with them. Have your cell phone ready to contact consumer service. Find out the area manager name and number to contact right in the line. If you are lucky to establish contact with them then simply explain to them that the cashier and her immediate supervise needs to be retained on their coupon policy because they are affecting the company’s gross profit. Remember, the company had to close Sams stores to maintain the Wal-mart stores. Most important, it is the cashier almost always, getting mad because we are getting a better deal then they are. However, we work harder to find the deals. THEY MUST ACCEPT AND DEAL WITH THIS FACT BECAUSE WE ARE NOT GOING ANYWHERE BUT BACK INTO THOSE STORES FOR THE BEST DEALS.

          • Cynthia

Amy, I agree with you. In one Walgreens, I have heard so many different rules with different cashiers, that if they were all correct (and I know they’re not!), it’d be very nearly impossible to effectively use their RR’s! Then there are those that quietly do what they can to help you out without a fuss. Then if I go to the Wags in the other direction, they are much more accomodating. I have much more appreciation for Rite Aid and CVS. Those of you that have a good Wags, count your blessings!

    • jennifer

anyone have a zipcode for digiorno pizza q?

      • Amy

        I can’t find it either.

      • Jen

I don’t see the DiGiorno Pizza coupon either.

      • Samantha White

I did not find it either. Has anyone found the Digornios coupon????

        • Paula

I got $1.00 off digiorno’s in my Smart source insert this past weekend! (1-24). Look there and see if ya’ll got those!….That will work for me! :)

    • Brenda

I would like to know about the razors too, Jaimee, how does the deal work?

    • Lynne

How do you get the Bic razors free? The coupon is B1G1 so it seems to me the store will require you to actually buy one of them.

      • Robin

No you will get them free unless the price is higher (B1G1 coupons only go up to a certain value). I did this deal with the Oust last week and only paid 15 cents for each Oust.

        • Ashley

Except the Oust coupon was for Surface and Air Disinfectant, not the Air Freshner that was on sale, so Walgreens lost money on that for incorrect coupon usage.

          • walgreens will still get back the same amount of money for the coupon it doesnt matter what item you actually got

            • Stacy

              Can you say COUPON FRAUD???

            • RebeccaF

I agree with Stacy, that is indeed coupon fraud. If you knowingly use a coupon in a manner other than what it was intended for, it is fraud. Even if the store does get reimbursed, the coupon was put out for the consumer to use for a certain product in a certain way because that is what the manufacturer is trying to get the consumer to try. We are lucky people in that we’ve figured out a way not only to use the coupon but to use it to really get the best deal possible. It is wrong to try to get other items using that and if everyone were to do it that way, the manufacturer would be right in saying, forget it, no more coupons. If it’s not worth it to them because of fraud, then everyone loses. You will just have to pass it by or wait for that perfect deal to come along if you’re not willing to pay a few more cents for an air freshener.

On the other hand, Stacy, I know it is frustrating but possibly you do not realize that all caps is yelling. I believe Jenny has this site for information and discussion, not yelling. I also believe that you’re frustrated but no one will listen to someone yelling at them. Sorry if my two cents bothers both of you but I needed to say something.

    • Josie

I have a coupon for for $1 off one Olay body wash that includes the in-shower body lotion. Sooooo….I’m thinking can we use a coupon on the lotion (I have one that is $3 off from a magazine) and $1 off the body wash??? I’ll try it and let you know!! Happy Friday!!

      • Joanne Horan

It depends on the cashier. Walgreen no longer lets you put a coupon on a free item, but as I said before, it depends on the cashier. Good luck!! I’m lucky because I have great relationships with both the cvs and walgreens that I go to.

    • Sean

Add the Diabetes and You store coupon for $2 off Benefiber to the deal idea and you make $4.

      • RebeccaF

Yes, that’s what I was thinking too. Is there a reason you didn’t include that in your Deal Idea Jenny?

    • Meme

Will Walgreens let you purchase the Olay Quench Deal twice. Not in the same transaction, but in two transactions? The reason I ask is that the rebate allows for rebate on two items. This is one of my favorite lotions also. Thanks for help.

      • Joanne Horan

Yes. You can do it in the same transaction – but, if there were rr involved in the deal, you would want to do it twice.

        • Meme

Thanks, Joanne, for the reply. I thought that was the case.

    • Sarah

I’m wondering if the cashiers will give me a problem for the olay deal, with the using 2 $2 off coupons for buying one bottle(the other bottle is free w/ the purchase). How does that work w/ using 2 coupons? Won’t they say I can only use one coupon?

      • Robin

You should be able to use both Q’s because you still have two products.

        • Jenn

no you can’t use a coupon on an item that is free… that’s fraud!

          • Ashley

HUH??? That’s what this site is all about Jenn. Jenny is honest and by the rules, so obviously this is how we save so much money. So to clarify for everyone, it is NOT fraud to use a coupon on a “free” item.

          • Joanne Horan

Lets clarify – That is not fraud!!! Most of the time it will depend on the store. CVS for eg. allows you to put a q on the free item. WAGS used to do that up until a couple of months ago until corporate put a stop to it. However, again it depends on the store. If the deal comes from the store, they will still be able to collect from the manufacturer even if they give you a B1G1 deal.

            • Devon

The computer beeped on me when I did the Olay lotion deal and used both coupons. The cashier pushed it through. My sister tried to do the same deal in a different state, but they told her no. It depends on the store, I guess.

            • Kim

Today at WallGreens I was NOT allowed to use the second $2 off coupon for the Olay. The manager told me that the “fre” Olay was not considered a lotion (even though it says it on the bottle) because it’s considered a shower product and the coupon says it’s only for a hand and body produc. Therefore, I was not allowed to use the second $2 off coupon. Therefore, my total came to $3.80 and not 4 cents. It was still a good deal, but I still think the coupon is valid because of the wording on the coupon.

            • Tracey

Maybe it’s not fraud but it’s certainly greed.

            • JenGC

Not fraud but greedy?? Do you get stuff for free at CVS when they give you the same coupon bucks back? How is THAT not greedy? If it is legal, it is not greedy! Oh man! I cant believe you said that. If I find some biscuits at Kroger for $1 and I have a 50 cent coupon for that item that doubles. I get it free right? Is THAT being greedy?!

            • Brooke

In my personal opinion, the store should not put an item on sale if they don’t want the customer to use the coupons for the sale items to their fullest extent. The store should pay more attention to the coupons put in the circulars and online.

      • Sarah in nc

Thanks everyone. I tried the Olay deal– the 1 lotion/get the free in shower lotion, used my 2 $2 off Olay q’s. The computer beeped, and cashier explained I couldn’t use the one coupon on the “free” item. I asked for the manager to come over and pointed out the q said for ANY lotion. He didn’t budge and said the same thing the cashier said. Bummer. I voided the whole thing.

    • Bev

I’m new to couponing and new to Walgreens. I have a question… I need to buy the diapers, wipes & Enfamil this week, so I’ll be doing several transactions. Is there any way that I can use the $5 RR that prints on diapers towards another transaction purchasing Enfamil (and still get another $5 RR), or will it cause it not to print another RR by doing that b/c it’s lumped into the same deal? I’m guessing it might not since Walgreens does that on single items, but just curious if anyone knows for sure. I need to stock up on formula and diapers, so I might just have to take a lot out of pocket this week and have a bunch of RR build up? Thanks for the help!

      • Sabrina

If your items are from the same RR deal and you use your RR to pay for the second (baby) deal then it won’t print you out any other RR. YOu will need to use your RR to purchase something else ( hopefully something that gives you RR) then make your other baby purchase. Hope this helps.

      • Joanne Horan

Basically, you can’t use rr on a product that gave you rr’s. I usually write down the name of the product on the back of the rr in pencil to remind myself when to use them or not.

        • Gail

You can’t use a RR coupon on the SAME PRODUCT and get a RR coupon back. Just wanted to clarify.

      • Bev

One more question–Since I need to do 4 transactions (3 formulas + wipes, and 1 set of diapers), is there any reason why I need to ring everything up separately? If I lump everything together, will it print me 4 $5 RR’s?? Or do I have to ring up separately to get this deal? Does anyone know??? Thanks!

        • Sean

They need to be done separately.

    • angela

I went to wags tonight to do the 2/$5 softsoap deal. I had my b1g1 and a $1 off. The cashier said they have been getting in trouble w/ their coupons and she wanted to call her manager to see if she was doing it right. She said since I had a $1 off coupon that would make one softscrub $1.50. And so with the B1G1 she could only take $1.50 off. I really don’t get it. I did this same deal at the same store the other day and had no trouble.

      • LD

I have been running into this a lot lately new rules out of the blue ? and adjusting the price of a coupon ? If I knew what there rule was and it was the right rule for a manuf [ but that should be the same any place that accept coupon} or Wags Q corp policy that would be ok, but they arent the right rules {well that you can get out of any person in Corp}. But I think if they stated it like this ex: $3 off a $8 lotion with wags coupon [unless you use a BIGI then we only take off $4 for a lotion and the Manf B1G1 or we may change the the $3 off to compensate for your manuf Q.and only take off $2 for this coupon, They would not have a lot of people buying from them . A lot who dont use coupons will go to a place that sell it cheaper and those of us who coupon will wait for CVS or Publix to have it on sale lol. They really do need to get a set rule for this new RR and coupon thing or back to the old rebate way . They just cant compete with CVS customer service or the ECB policy . I wish they could .

    • Leslie

I am new to walgreens but I was told that if I used a man. coupon when purchasing something that went toward RR that I didnt get the RR. So I had to return the item and buy it at full price to get my RR….I don’t seem to get that from your website. Can you help?

      • Joanne Horan

Absolutely not true. Those rr come from the manufacturer, not walgreens. They’re giving you the run around. Try a friendlier store.

        • Leslie

what about if it is an in store coupon? do you know abou that? sometimes they have those little instore booklets? I wish I would have known that yesterday, at least now I know…thanks. It takes some trial and error…I think I will print out the RR policy and keep it with my coupons!!

          • Joanne Horan

The q’s in the wag. q book can be used with a manu. q. For ex. planters peanuts were 1.99 ea on sale. The manu. q was 1.00/2 and the wags. q was 1.00/1. Buy 2 – makes 3.98 and then use wags. q . You only need 1 wags q because the register will automatically take off 1.00 for each can. So, 2.00 + 1.00/1 manu.q = 3.00 off the 2 cans, which leaves you paying .98 for 2 cans. This was not a product for RR, but it makes no difference because as I said before the RR come from the manufacturer, not WAGS

      • Jenna A

I’ve had the same problem at my local walgreens. Turns out, their coupon policy is so tricky that even the cashiers have their own interpretation. Next time you run into that situation, just ask the cashier to “try out” your purchase scenario. As long as you’ve selected the correct items and you have followed their “coupon limits” you shouldn’t have a problem.

        • Leslie

I just read on another blog (I heart wags) that “buy the exact items advertised to receive rr. using coupons on these items should not affect whether your rr prints. unfortunately, it seems that a few stores have their registers programmed so that rr will not print if coupons are used – but if this is true, it is very rare” where I shopped was a NEW WALGREENS store so I wonder if this is going to be a new thing….they are putting in another one a in my town so I am curious if that will be the case there as well. ???

      • Tracie

I have had several cashiers tell me that I will not get any RR when I use coupons. I say, let’s try and see what happens. They ring me up and then the RR’s print, even with Manufacturer coupons. I have a feeling they are told to discourage the use of coupons when the item generates RR. This is bizarre to me because they advertize that the item pays RR to get you in the store. The ad makes no mention that a coupon disqualifies the Rewards. If fact, they encourage the use of coupons in their ad. So if the computer does not print them, you must get a Manager involved to manually generate them or just don’t buy it!

    • Stacey

I notice that you’re using RR from one transaction to another but I had a manager explain to me today that if you use a RR towards the total in a transaction that would earn RR, that they cancel themselves out. Today I did the Neosporin deal where I got 2/$8 and should have earned $3 in RR. I used a $2 RR (earned from Nivea body wash so it wasn’t from same mfr as Neosporin) to lower my OOP and the $3 RR didn’t print. He said if we pay with RR then RR won’t print. I’ve totally given up on shopping at WAGS.

      • LD

Well not sure what that deal was but i have used rr to get other deals that print rrs . It could have been for a few diffrent reasons . that the Nivea and Neosporin are some how related by a parent company or divsions of a parent company . Or the machine was not turned on or out of paper . You could have asked him to ring it up with out rr to see if it printed . if it did not just do an instant return . Or it could have been the signal between the cat machine was down .

But I am with you on this all the stupid things they say on coupons and RR’s that are not true . I am about ready to give up on it too. If you look above you will see lots of posts with the same kind of dobule talk reasons . I am not sure if it is a new tactic of Wags managers to stop people from getting deals with RRs of they just dont understand it well, so anything that comes to mind that 1/2 makes sense to them they spout out lol . Hoping we just go away or a bonus we dont return the items and just pay full price and not get a RR.

But you wont be making the next purchase there with a RR that would have broght you back in . And they wont get reimbursed by the manufacture for that RR that never printed . They lost both ways .

        • Joanne Horan

This is getting weird!!!! I think that if this happens, we can just ask them to cancel the transaction and go somewhere else. I don’t know what all the fuss is about, because the only reason I started shopping a Wags is because of the deals and honestly, they do have better deals that any other store I go to.

      • Bobbie

I used a $2.50 RR today on this deal and it printed me the $3.00 RR.

    • carolyn

i commented about this last week. never had it happen to me, i have been told by some cashiers that the rr were changing to do just that not print when coups.are used . i have a big problem with this because so many times in the ad it tells u that coupons are in sundays paper but it doesnt tell u if you use them that will not be getting your rewards… its just another trick ,so many couponers are ashamed to put items back .well not me ,and i will let them know jjust who i feel about being fooled or what ever.but i am not sure what we can do about it unless flood them w/ e mails . now might be the best time to start before it is a widespread coupon nightmare ! fair is fair! yes i liked that movie too! talk about stuck in the 80s. im really serious the casheirs in costal ga. warn me every time i shop it is going to happen one day . one store here one there snowball effect.

      • LD

Well if things are changing [and they seem to be] There will be a lot less sales at wags most of us who go in to do the RRs are coupons users and wont do these deals . And the ones who arent couponers and buy the items then realise they have to use it on a future purchase wont be so quick to go back for this type of “sale” why buy and item for $3.99 but wait till u need something next time to really get that price and remember a coupon, lol that is why they dont use coupons to much of a hassle. they will go some place else to buy it cheaper on a regular sale or regular price. I have lots of family that do this shop at walmart or go to target for sales or another store as they are just cheaper for things and they dont have time for coupons. And we will be flocking to CVS when they have good ECB sales and the 5 off 20 coupons . And more time to put together better deals for CVS and Publix .

      • Leslie

I went to a grand opening of a new store and the register was set up to not print my RR when I used a man coupon. I had to redo my purchase to get the RR. I thought it was just the casheir or my lack of knowledge being new at this, I think it was bc it was a new store…there is another one opening in a couple weeks so we shall see. I am going tommorrow to try some sales at an older one I am going to see what they say…???

        • Gail

I went to a new store and the cashier told me I could only use one RR per transaction per day. So I never went back. There are a couple others store in town that I have never have any problems with.

Also I took the ad (from Jennie’s site) to a Walgreen’s for the Reimbrandt toothpaste that was on sale a couple of weeks ago (we didn’t get it in our ads here) and ask the store manager if I could get the toothpaste for the ad price. I was told yes but I would not get the RR. I did the transaction and still got the RR so now I am wondering if each store sets up the RR’s each week or if it is set up by the main office each week.

          Does anyone know?

      • Joanne Horan

Does anyone know how long ago this new policy started. I got my rr last week using manu. q and rr no problem and am debating on whether to shop tomorrow. Please reply anyone asap

        • carolyn

i first started hearing about it a year ago .that was when i first started teaming the internet with couponing to become a smarter shopper .then i used krazycouponlady.com i heard it there first . i not sure but i think that they are north if us north west mabe? i dont think they have all that many wags left that will print rr when coupons are used . its finally started way down here my mom conf. it at one wags in bwk. ,ga. its realy hit and miss .just because a cashier says it has changed over doesnt make it so . just try if it doesn t work then return it, and dont let them make you feel bad if they say something about your coupons used . bottom line is they have your coupons and they will be submitting them to the manuf . even if the items were returned.

          • jhoran

Thank Carolyn for the info. I went to the wags today where they know me and mentioned the problem to the manager. He said that he did not know any about that. However after buying all my stuff (it was the first time I used so many q all at once) the register gave me back 2rr which was correct and 3rr for the pepsi deal. Well, I just had a talk with him and he says that it seems that everytime a lot of q’s go through the system, the catalina seems to get confused (confirmed by the other employees) and messes up. I had bought 92.62 worth of product, paid 10.38, so you can imagine how many q’s I had. Anyway, I was supposed to get 10rr from the pepsi deal, so they voided the bic razor 6.99 and gave me a store credit to replace the 7 rr.

            • carolyn

no thank you , i some how saved up enuff rr and was going to make one big trans a combo of the pepsi deal,lotion,4 bic razor ,and the ben. fiberw/ verrry little oop. i dont need the extra receipt i dont do rebates i have alot of trouble w/ them, but i think now it would be best to do it seperately anyway. as usual everyone behind me will just be thrilled, they always are. sorry folks.

        • Dee

I have been doing this q’s system at Wags for several months. Yesterday I went in and did my normal shopping, used several manu q. and got all the appropriate RR. This morning, I went back and did the same Pert deal that I did yesterday with man q’s and did NOT get my RR. According to that store, their system changed overnight!!
          Major bummer!

    • Emily

When you are required to spend a set amount to get RRs is that before or after coupons? Thanks in advance!

      • Courtney

IME, it’s always before coupons. i spent just under $10 on nyquil tonight but the total was $20 before q’s. still got my $10 RR.

    • KB

Dec.7 People magazine had a coupon, valued up to $6,for free Olay body lotion w/purchase of any Olay lotion!

      • Tina M

Thanks for sharing this. I found the Q you mentioned and was able to use it today. I got a 20.2 oz and an 8.4 oz lotion + the in shower lotion for $5.24 including tax!

    • Ginger

Just want to add my sympathy about WAGS and their RRs. I had completely stopped going there because the RR system (ie hassle) just wasn’t worth my time! Then a local coupon blogger (in VA Beach) posted that she used her RRs at Harris Teeter! Sure enough, I asked next trip in and they accept them as $/off purchase Qs. I have used up to $15 in one transaction. No set limit, just “reasonable” limit. No problems, strange looks, registers beeping. Absolutely wonderful.
On a recent trip to WAGS, had to have a Q ok’d by manager and in conversation mentioned taking my RRs to HT. She said they (HT) are crazy for taking them. My comment was that they are getting way more of my business than WAGS, getting paid for the Q and it is no hassle whatsoever. WAGS should take a lesson in customer service.
So if this is an option for some of you, check w/your local HT customer service desk. Happy shopping.

      • Teaundra

I wonder how HT profits from it…

        • Tonya

A RR is a manufacturer coupon, not a WAGs store coupon, so HT turns it into the manufacturer and gets the amount from the manufacturer. my publix and kroger do the same thing. istopped by the customer service desk to confirm. at first they were hesitant, but i showed them it stated it was a MQ and their cash registers took it with no problem. i did have the cashier hesitate so i told her that ‘bryan’ told me it was okay. now, more and more of the cashiers have no problem with it now that they understand.

          • LD

I so wish any of the stores here would take them . I would be on it like in a shot. Anything to not use them at walgreens. Although if they start the no coupon or rr used no rr printed lol. I wont even bother. I already have stoped using B1G1 there [due to there policy of cutting the value in 1/2 or adjusting the face value of their coupon ]. And some here are starting to state wags first or I wont ring them . So really I would love to get a few deals and use them at Publix or Winn Dixie . I have a rain check for a couple of things I would use any place else if I could too. Thank goodness for CVS {as I would quit drug stores all together ]no rite aids here,

          • Allison

I want to make sure I am reading this correctly. Your Krogers will accept RRs from wags? I understand the concept of it being man q’s etc, just wanted to make sure before I try to “give this a shot” with my local Krogers.

            • jhoran

Some will and some won’t. Mine is in the won’t category. However, I heard it said that cvs will accept and doesn’t walmart accept any manufacturer q?

            • Gail

Walmart, Albertsons & City Market all take the RRs.

            • Jackson

I had read on this blog that HT took wags RR’s so I checked with HT’s Headquarters and they stated “That it depends on the store. If the store (HT) had a pharmacy within it that yes that store can take the Wags RR’s as long as it was for $ of next purchase, not $ off a specific item. If the HT store did not have a pharmacy then they (HT) could not accept them(the RR’s) from Wags. I hope this helps.
PS. I usually read the sites they Jenny has posted for us. Most of the time everyone is so helpful and nice. Maybe we should all take a step back and remember that we are trying to help one another NOT make accusations at each other or sling mud. I really dont care to read it. Thank you Jenny for all your help and all you do. Allison I hope this answers your question. Happy Saving.

      • Jen

If Wag’s is advertising a deal that generates RRs and they have a Wag Q for it and upon using it it doesn’t print out your RR wouldn’t that be a “bait and switch” tactic. Maybe someone should report them to the Federal Trade Commission?!

        • jhoran

          See my post.

    • Summer

Does anyone know how I can use LESS ink when printing my coupons?

      • Kellie

When your printer options screen comes up- look for for “preferences” or something similar- it should bring up a screen to allow you to change your printing to quick print or fast print. The faster it prints the less ink used.

        • Jason

I was thinking about doing that to save ink, but I was worried that the bar codes that print would not read right if the black ink was on the lower quality. Has anyone noticed the bar codes messing up on lower ink qualities?

        • Summer

But when i print the coupon, I never see the print screen.. I know how to do it if I see it, but it usually shows the JAVA picture with the bubbles.. It just automatically prints.. hmmm. I don’t know.

      • I have been attempting the same thing… to no avail. There doesn’t seem to be a way to mess with the coupon printer settings (at least not with my HP printer) even after I managed to change the default setting… We bought a black XL remanufactured cartridge from Office Depot the other day and are trying just printing in grayscale to see if that helps cut costs.

        • jhoran

wags refills are 12.99 for black and colored. When they have a sale, its 9.99

          • Cynthia

I tried to Wags refill for the first time. It prints great in normal mode, but squiggly in the fast mode. Having said that, tho, it’s less than 1/2 the cost of a new cartridge for my printer, and it seems to be lasting longer. So I think I’ll continue getting mine refilled there.

      • Joanna

Check out megatoners.com for really cheap ink for most printers; we also recently bought a bunch of replacement cartridges on ebay for super cheap (we have an Epson printer).

      • bridget

I have gone into the printers and faxes of xp and opened up my default printer and changed my printer preferences to “fast” and grayscale printing so I don’t use colored ink. If I need to print something in color, then I manually change the printer settings for that document. That way, when the coupons automatically print, I’m using WAY less ink. They are always accepted, too. Never have a problem. In fact, I seem to have more problems with the coupons I clip from the circulars.

    • Jan

I am not going to shop Walgreens anymore because the ones in my area (Gainesville GA)will not give out RRs if you use a coupon on an item. Both stores said that, if you use a coupon, it immedately cancels the RRs. I guess CVS gets my business from now on.

      • Jessica

        Jan,
I shop the cumming stores and have never had a problem with B1G1’s or using coupons to get RR’s. HTH

    • Helen

I’m not having any luck with the “-$1 off Stacy’s Pita Chips printable” coupon…..anybody know zip code to get this coupon???

      • Bobbie

I cant find the coupon either. Zip code 35235

      • Tom

        Can’t find it either – 33611

      • Virginia

Go to http://www.cvs.com and click on ‘In-store coupons. Start printing now.’ on the right hand side. I found the Stacy’s coupon on page 2 – did not need to type in a zipcode. You should be able to print 2 times.

        • Virginia

Sorry, I just realized that I’m in the Walgreens discussion – Walgreens may or may not take the coupon from CVS.com b/c it will print with ‘CVS store coupon’ printed at the top – however it IS a manufacturer’s coupon due to the coding and the info for retailers telling them where to send it for redemption. You may need to check with your Walgreens to be sure that they will take this coupon. Of course, you can also just use it at CVS since the Stacy’s pita chips are also part of the Pepsi deal there. :)

    • Deb

Jenny, please add that there is a $3 coupons off any hand and body lotion in the “Entertainment weekly” for January 29th. Makes it a GREAT DEAL!

    • Crystal

I can’t find the printable for the Stayfree pads. Does anyone know what zip I need to use?

    • Liz

Jenny, is link to the rebate for Pepsi products valid to print in B&W and send in or is there an official rebate form that I need to find somewhere? Thanks in advance!

      • Jenny

This rebate is on coors site (the link above takes you to their link) so this is legitimate to use straight as is.

        • Liz

Thanks for the link! And helping our family save lots of money! God Bless!

    • MIchelle

I have to say the times they are a changing over at WAGS I think. I went to two stores today to get the Liptons and Theraflu deal. One store flat out refused to use the WAGS coupon and the manu coupon together. The other store took it with no question.

I bought two of the Accu kits this week when they were down to 9.99. I had the manu for 10 and the WAGS for 5 and I ran them both through, the machine took it no problem but the cashier looked at the second one and said she could not take it. She rang the WAGS first so she had to price modify the 10.00 one down to 4.99. I have to say every cashier looked at every single coupon and read the fine print in both stores and did everything they could to shoot the coupons down.

The RRs printed for me with no problems but I think they are suddenly getting an attitude towards couponers after all these years. NOt sure how much longer we will be able to enjoy our pass times at WAGS. Might have to start learning the CVS rules.

      ML

      • Sarah

I just don’t understand why they are doing this stuff. Maybe we need to explain that the manu. qs shouldn’t be modified because that isn’t what it says to do on th q. AND the store still gets reimbursed the full price like say for you… they would still get the full $10 for the manu q you used, correct? Sorry if it doesn’t make exact sense I havent slept yet… lol.

    • Meme

I asked the store manager at CVS tonight if they will let a person (someone disabled) purchase the items coming on sale the next day and let them return them and scan again for the ECB’s. I explained to her that I cannot go to several stores and stand in the store with any mindset to recalculate my purchases. If if knew what I had and could just walk in and scan everything with coupons and ECB’s I would manage. It is getting harder and harder to coupon, with less and less money available. I only try to get things we really use. So it is frustrating to get to the store and the cupboards are bare. It goes beyond frustrating, I get physically sick from the effort.

The manager looked surprised that I had asked her about buying early. I think people must do something like this at times, but she couldn’t condone it. She started trying to help me find other good items for ECB’s but it wasn’t for things I needed. Just wondered if there are any set rules for this or if it is ethical. Just a thought for someone disadvantaged. Thanks, Meme

      • michele

I belive what Jenny said at a workshop, was that you can get a raincheck from CVS and that the ecb’s will still print when you use it. I would ask for sure, I understand your frustration, as I am having some of the same problems and I didn’t think to get a raincheck. HTH

      • JenGC

I have about 4 rainchecks from CVS where they were out of something. This was in early December and they STILL haven’t restocked (at least I haven’t been able to find it). But on the rainchecks there is a place to put if rainchecks were involved in the item. It also says it is good at ANY other CVS store and that it does not expire! I couldn’t believe that.

    • michele

I am frustrated with WAGS!!! I went in to buy the advertised BOGO on Bic razors, and they rang up 5.99 for the first and 1.00 for the second, when I pointed out that the ad stated buy 1 @6.99 get one free and that I should be able to use my manuf.q for BOGO on the 6.99 one, she called the manager and still they wanted to value my q worth 6.99, as a 1.00 q!!! I am confused and frustrated, please let me know if the deal Jenny lays out works for anyone (esp, in the Cleveland TN area)

      • Leigh

I didn’t see the razor deal advertised in our ad today (in the Greenville News). Today at the store it wasn’t labeled on the shelf either. Does anyone know if they are still on sale in Greenville area?

        • Devon

They are in the ad, they just don’t look like the picture on the coupon (coupon states ANY Bic razors). The razors on sale are new items, Hybrid and Flex4. My WAGS didn’t have a sign for the bogo either. My store was out of them, so I got a raincheck.

          • Leigh

Thanks, I looked back in the ad and see what your talking about. I’ll go back and try again.

      • Leah

The deal worked for me today! There wasn’t a sign with the razors, but I got the ones posted in the flier. One rang up for 6.99 and the other for nothing. The cashier gave me the 6.99 without hesitating. I did this with the cashier in cosmetics — they always seem to be a bit more relaxed!

        • Allison

I agree, I love my cosmetics girls!

          • JenGC

I did too until she got smart with me once. I heard that the cosmetics cashiers get a commission or something on certain items. So I would immediately go to her with any purchase just in case I had something that she could get money for or if it was off the value or something. Well, I was doing the deal on the hair driers where they were $9.99 and then there was a $5 coupon for those driers and then I used the $5 RR that they had the week before on if you purchased a certain amount which had an expiration date of a week! Anyway, it was a hassle since her register didn’t ring it up right and the manager was a great help. I said “Man this is a hassle! But it is worth it”. She said “for YOU it is”. I thought “oh ok! I will make sure that you NEVER have to hassle with it again!” I see her and she is friendly but I am sure she has no idea why I never go to her anymore. You just can’t be rude to customers! Not if you want to continue to get business!

            • jhoran

I think I know what happened. I was told by the employees at the wag I shop, that they are not allowed to buy anything that generates rr. I guess that’s why they have a hard time seeing us get all this stuff for practically nothing.

      • Rob

Same problem here at the Marietta store off Delk Road.

      • Courtney

mine rang up even more screwy. the register showed the following amounts for my 6 razors i purchased: 5.99, 1.00, 3.50, 3.49, 3.50, 3.49. the cashier was nice, but she couldn’t do much to help me out with the register ringing them that way. i had 3 B1G1 mfc q’s, she gave me 5.99, 3.50, 3.50 off. it’s very frustrating b/c you never know how the product is going to ring up. coffeemate rang up 2.49 for the first and 0.00 for the second. who knows?!?!?! ended up paying $1.33 for each pack of razors. not bad, but free is much better! my biggest problem was that it really messed up my paying with RR’s and transactions i had planned!

        • michele

I emailed a complaint about this to wags, and I will probably call them too. I let them know that I felt this was unfair advertising and that the manager of the store sided with the cash register instead of the ad, so much for the customer being right. I would have been fine if they would have taken the 5.99 off for my q but the casheir and the manager wanted to only take the second one off.

    • Tana

Great deal! I don’t know if you will be able to find this at all Walgreens, but be on the lookout for Glade Soy candles (fragrance collection) on clearance for $1.59. Pair this with $3 off 2 candles coupon from coupons.com and they become $0.19 each. The catalina machine ALSO printed out a $5 off RR from SC Johnson. I guess this is coming up somehow from the SC Johnson Rebate for buying 5 items (I bought 6 candles) and my purchase triggered it. Anyway – I got 6 candles and actually made money. Nice surprise!

      • Courtney

this is a month long RR deal, just like the KMart deal for Glade Fragrance Collection.

        buy 2, get $3 RR
        buy 3, get $4 RR
buy 4 or more, get $5 RR

        • Tana

Thanks for the info, Courtney. I did not know about that month long RR deal. I am going to hit a couple of more Walgreens by my house to see if there are anymore of these clearance candles.

    • mistie

Just noticed the Dimetapp coupon says 11/15/2009. Not sure if they will take it??

      • JenGC

Probably not. I should beep (I had one expire and they immediately look at that) and they will see why. There is a place where you can mail your expired coupons. It is a military base and they can use expired coupons in their stores (I cant remember what they are called).

        • mistie

I didn’t think they would, just wondered if others were aware that the coupon from that site was expired. Thanks for the info about the military base though, and thanks for responding.

    • Jason

I bought two separate papers today and have checked the SS website and couldn’t find anything for Pert. Anyone have any ideas?

    • Jimmy

I had a similar situation to most everyone here today.

      Purchased 4 BIC Hybrid Razors.

One rang up 5.99 next 1.00 and underneath it it says 1@1/5.99- 2/6.99 and the other two rang up 3.50 and 3.49 with the same 1@1/5.99 -2/6.99

I used two bogo coupons. He took off $5.99 on one of them and $3.50 on the other. I do not understand why they rang up differently. I figured they would ring up 6.99 and 6.99 and one would be automatically deducted and they would take off 6.99. Any opinions or help on this would be appreciated.

      • jhoran

Sounds like it was not put into the computer correctly to reflect the bogo. Mine was fine.

      • Lisa

The same thing happened to me, one for $5.99 and one for $1.00. The cashier offered to take of $3.49 since she that I was paying half price for the item. The ad says buy 1 for $6.99 and get one FREE. It does not say buy 1 for $5.99 and get 1 for $1.00 or get one for half price. Once again, the cashier makes up to rules on a whim. Wags is the MOST unfriendly and horrific shopping experience. I give up!

    • KHub

Can anyone tell me which Wags in the Villa Rica / Douglasville GA area is coupon friendliest? I am anti-conflict but love to get legit good deals!!!

    • Lisa

I am a manager at wag and I don’t know anything about using manufacture q canceling out a rr.

    • jennifer

Brawny is 5.49 with their coupon and manu coupon.

      • Allison

If you live near a Kroger, this item is on the MEGA sale this week and ends up being 2.49 with q’s i think…You might double check though. I am new at this :).

      • jhoran

Brawny and quilted northern is on sale at kroger for 5.49 ea. Kroger has an e-coupon for 2.00 off ea one and there 1.00 manu. q’s in this sunday’s paper – that makes it 2.49 ea.

    • jennifer

sure deodorant free with both store and manu coupons

    • Carolin

Both Sure deodorant and Pert Shampoo have Try Me Free stickers on the bottles. There are rebates for the amount purchased, but you must have the sticker that is on the bottle. Not all of the bottles have the Try Me stickers.

Question: Does anyone know if the Chips Ahoy deal is still working=Buy 2 and get a $2RR. I think the regular price is 2/$3 so still makes them free after the 2RR and $1 coupon from Nabisco coupon booklet.

      • Melanie

I would think it still works. My store still has a sign up advertising that deal.

    • Mrs Sunshine

One of my local Wal-Marts refuses to price comp. even if you have the store advertisement in hand. I only go there if I “have to have” something.

    • Nicole

I was told by the cashier at Wags tonight they are no longer allowing you to use your reward bucks on the sae day you recieve them! Anyone else having this problem? She told me I could not have multiple transctions and would have to come back tomorrow if I wanted to use the RR. I was also was not allowed to use multiple manf q that were alike, again only one per day. ughhh…I am really beginning to wonder if they are even worth the hassle…

      • jhoran

That’s a new one!! Don’t think it’s the store policy – I think it’s one she made up.

    • RebeccaF

I have stopped going to Wags several times because of poor CS. I have gone back against my better judgement in the past because I’ve seen a deal that I just thought I couldn’t let go by. I’ve been frustrated by the quick expiration of the RR and my own stupidity in not just buying something, anything so they didn’t go to waste. I once lost $22 in RR because they expired on Thanksgiving and I didn’t realize it until I was too busy to run out. My fault to be sure but why do they make the dates expire so quickly?!??! I also hate having to calculate a dang “filler” item because of their silly rules.

Now if they bring this new rule into my area that RRs can not be used with man. coupons, I am totally swearing off Wags. If I run into anyone who wants to start couponing, I’ll tell them to not bother either. I totally understand a store needing to make money but I honestly don’t see how they are losing out.

I feel sorry for the good managers and employees that recognize the benefit and bonus good couponers bring to their stores because they will see these people leave by the score with this new policy.

      Thanks for reading my rant.

    • daylog

what is the deal with this fraud junk i keep reading. before we leave a store 9 out of 10 times, i pick up something i do not need that cost 2 x the amount of walmart. they are making money. we are not cheating nobody on nothing. theyre regular prices on stuff are 2 x the price at other places. so be it. and if you guys are like me how many sent packages to haiti this week??? i did with my church and i know i had $100.00 worth of stuff that probably cost me $20.00, do i feel guilty, no. do i send to the food bank. yes. nobody is doing anything wrong trying to get the best deals on everything they buy, we should have been doing this for the last 3 years and maybe we wouldn’t be in the shape we’re in. i learned my lesson never take money for granted because it can give out. we are seeing that now. aren’t we?

      • jhoran

So true! There a wags I go to about 3 times a week and so they know me quite well as I do them. That seems to be the best case scenario for wags shoppers for avoiding hassles – know your store!! I think in most cases the employees just don’t want to be bothered and just make up an explanation as to why something won’t work – hoping you’ll go away.

      • Courtney

thanks for posting this. it seems that recently some ppl are taking it upon themselves to be the coupon police for everyone. it’s strange to me b/c i really don’t think anyone here would purposefully do anything wrong – especially Jenny! so why all the negativity and finger pointing? i come here for tips and help in keeping my budget on track and my expenses down. i’m not ashamed of it and i think it’s quite strange that some ppl are trying to shame others here. i love the posters here, you all have helped me save a ton! so – thanks! :)

    • angel

Does anyone know of a Walgreens in Lexington, SC or in a surrounding area that has the Bic razors Free? I went to 4 different Wags today for this deal. 3 didn’t even have the razors and 1 wouldn’t do the deal. They tried to charge me 1/2 off for each pack. I tried to explain that they’d get back $6.99 from the manuf. q but they wouldn’t listen. Thanks!

      • Lisa

I had the same thing happen to me this morning. I went to two different stores in Anderson, SC and was told that you can not just walk out of the store with free things! They said that I did not need the B1G1 coupon because it was already b1g1 so the coupon was really useless and then a manager pointed out to me that it said on the coupon that it can not be combined with any other offer. I tried to explain to him that I was not combining with any other offer from the company and that the b1g1 deal was the Walgreens deal not the companies, he went on to explain that it is the same sale as the coupon you just don’t have to have the coupon….OK!! I just said well thanks, but I really wish Walgreens would give you guys a coupon policy that is the same at all stores because some do it and some don’t. He then told me they did have a coupon policy and I asked if I could have a copy of it because it would really help me to understand their rules….of course that was a no go. He then proceeded to ask me what stores did do the deals, I told him well now, I cant tell you that because that is where I am going to do the deals! (I really have no idea of a store around here that will do it, but I do know there are some out there because of all of the ppl on here that do get the good deals succesfully) I think that may have made him a little ticked but hey if he can’t tell me his “coupon rules” why should I share mine!! The cashier got a real kick out of it because she was kinda laughing when I told him that. Oh well, just had to tell my story. Got pretty much the same comments at the other store I went to from the cashier…that I couldn’t just get things for free because they would go out of business if they just gave everything away for free. I made the simple comment that they get the $$ back from the coupon they use so they would not be making any more or less than if I paid for it. I left it at that, to early in the morning for all of that explaining and reasoning. So I came back home had some coffee and chilled out and had a good laugh with my husband about the whole ordeal. CVS is looking better and better to me!

        • LD

That is something I have learned here not to use a B1G1 coupon at wags with any wags sale or coupon. It does not end up in your favor. So might as well wait for CVS Publix or last resort use it at walmart. In Florida there is a truth in advertising law and the registers should be ringing up full price for one and 0 for the other. That is why Publix rings the way it does here [full price then full price then the second is taken off] Winn Dixie full price [if you ring your card first 0 for second, ring card last then it takes it off last ] they follow the law .

          • carolyn

i live on the ga., fla. line you are absolutely right! all my b1g1 deals and b1g1 coups are spent in florida .

        • carolyn

this is just silly.your managers logic make no sense to me. if it is a b1g1 sale they are already giving them away! if i walked in w/ no coupons they would be giving me one for free . if he takes the coupon then instead of giving it to you for free he gets the money back for the free one from the manu. when i moved most store managers saw coupons the same way as your wags. i have sence then been able to get them to see it my way at most places that i shop .however i am always ready for the new person. i think some people are so sure of their own reasoning that even attempting to change their mind about it almost impossible .i understand to average person doesnt spend near the time i do thinking about coupons nor do they want to.i do buy things at wags and pay more for it because i get so much from there for free and making another stop w/ two toddlers only leads to trouble. yes i am lucky enuff to have two beautiful lil girlies following me around everywhere i go for the past three years now.it gets confusing .the 3 year old always trys to spend all of my rr on beanies. but mabe i am wrong. it just makes sence to me they can either give it away or be reembursed for it . i really need an abc check button! sorry

          • avenlee

The razors are a new item supposively. I had to ask where they were and was told they are new and were displayed in a ‘special’ box display. In any event, I price checked one and the thingy said it was 2/6.99 (not BOGO) So, I said to myself they are each going to ring up 3.49 and then using my BOGO Q., only 3.49 would be deducted! I think this is where the problem is. I managed to get 6.99 deducted at check-out only because the cashier really didn’t know what she was doing. She was searching my receipt and finally asked me what the price was for the razor. I told her 6.99 and that it was a BOGO sale.

            • Tracie

The price that the register rings the razor up for means nothing. The ad states “Buy 1 for $6.99/Get 1 Free.”. It does not say pay $1 for one or get one half off. They must give you the price listed in the ad. The same goes for items that are advertised with RR. If you don’t get a RR for an item that is advertised as paying them (whether you use a coupon to purchase the item or not) they must comply with the ad.

    • Angela

Yikes!!! Reading all this makes me never want to step foot in a Walgreens again!!! The closest one to me now is a half hour away so I don’t go there very often. I WAS excited for the new one (about 5 minutes away) but now i wish they wouldn’t even bother. :(

      • JenGC

Give them a shot but keep these facts in mind. I have a Walgreens right down the street from me that is FANTASTIC!! There is one manager that I think is awesome, but every single employee that works there has been extra special sweet. There is one that I was miffed at but she is kinda nice too. Once I bought 15 hooded sweatshirts for $9.99 (before couponing). I found I could order them for cheaper and I can get the colors and sizes I wanted for the same price. The manager was fine with it. While he was refunding them, someone else came up and mentioned that they were on 1/2 price. I was dumfounded. I said I didnt know that! Can I just go back and repurchase them? He seemed kinda perturbed about it (didnt really say much) but realized later that he really didnt care. While I was buying more sweatshirts for the 1/2 off he asked me 3 times if I have found everything OK and that it was no problem that I returned those.
So I would try them out, but just dont be shocked if they are like the others. You just might find a diamond in the rough! I did. :D

        • Do you mind sharing what store you shop at that is so nice? I have been in several and none of the cashiers or managers are overly friendly. They kind of seem perturbed.

        • Angela

Thanks for the advice. I’ve noticed at certain stores I show at, if i go at certain times of the days, the people that work are always really nice and helpful. I messed up a scenario at Walgreens this last week and was frustrated and later went back to return all of it. The manager who helped me was SO NICE about it (even though it was super complicated and time consuming) i told him about some of the experiences i’ve had before and he told me if i ever had another problem again to make sure i let him know and he would take care of it. Even though i spent an hour there and didn’t end up buying anything, it was probably the best experience i’ve had in a Walgreens store. LOL.

    • sherri johnson

we are lucky enough to have 4 different walgreens in my area. I learned really quick that every cashier does have they’re own rules. Be confident but kind and just correct them when they make a mistake, and if all else fails call the corprate office. Now that the cashiers pretty much know me I rarely have any problems with them, I would love it if they would start taging the items on the shelf tho!

    • michele

Okay, I just spoke with Walgreens corporate, and Corporate does not have a coupon policy OR RR policy, it is up to each store. Even corporate wasn’t very helpful or very concerned with this.

      • LD

I have had the same thing happen when calling on a store problem [meds] . I think this is why myself and lots of others I see post, say CVS is a much better place to shop . For me it is like chosing Publix over w
almart. If I can get it at CVS for the same or a tiny bit more it is worth it or if I can wait for Publix or CVS to do a sale I will. Walgreens is just to iffy and not at all that pleasent. Mind you not all the workers there are this way . I have called to compliment a couple one at the same store I have complained about the manager making up coupon rules on the spot lol. Just depends what mood he is in . I dont have the energy time or patience for this . I can go 1 mile up to CVS and be treated like my buisness is appreciated and not unwanted.

I went to Walgreens in Vero Beach this morning and was very successful. My first transaction was: 2 Pert Plus Shampoo (2 for $5.00). I used $1 and $2 q and my total was $2.85 and I got 2RR. My second transaction was 2 Olay 20oz lotion at 7.99 each, 2 free Olay 8oz lotion, 2 Bic Razor B1G1 (rang up $5.99 and $1). I used $1, $2, B1G1 6.99 (I had to show ad) , 2RR q. My total was around $13. After Olay rebates I should break even, not too bad for a Monday morning :)

      • Crystal

        I used a $1 and 1.50 for the Pert Plus..oops

    • Crystal

The sales in Vero Beach were not marked on any of the shelves.

      Jennie,

Hi, Wanted to buy the Olay Body Lotion but I did not see the Olay on sale in your weekly ads. Is the $7.99 just the store price?

      • tryingcoupons

I looked online and in my weekly ad for Greenville/Spartanburg area (29615), the Olay was on page 8. Where are you?

I believe $7.99 is the sale price. I actually didn’t even see a sign on the shelf for the sale price, I had to double check my ad to make sure I had the right one because there WAS a sign that looked like a sale sign on the shelf, but it said $8.99 – still rang up for $7.99 though.

Frustrating thing – they didn’t have signs up for the items that were on sale this week – at least what I was looking for today. I don’t know if they do that on purpose or what?

    • tryingcoupons

Had success in Walgreens today. The BIC razors DID ring up $5.99 for the first and $1.00 for the second. The cashier asked an associate what they were doing about the BIC B1G1 coupons (obviously there was a discussion about how to handle these) – they agreed to take off $6.99.

      Here’s my transaction:
      2 Stayfree Maxi
      1 Olay Quench Lotion
      1 Olay in Shower Lotion
      2 BIC razors

      – $1 off Any Stayfree product printable (used 2)
      – $1 Olay body wash, soap or Hand and Body Lotion PG 12/27
      – $2 off Olay Hand or Body Lotion PG 1/17
      – B1G1 Bic Disposable Razors SS 1/10
      – $5 RR

      Total savings = $31.57
      Total = $3.11

      • Would you mind sharing what store you shop at. Thanks for sharing!

It was the Pelham Road store in Greenville, SC.

my store in cleveland tn was out of all of these items!

    • Natalie559

Hi if anyone else did NOT get the pert plus coupon in the paper I found a printable,

    • Brooke

I haven’t tried using the RR at Walgreen’s yet. I was thinking about it but now I’m not so sure with the feedback from everyone. The employees at my Walgreen’s are pretty nice but I think I will just stick to CVS. Too much hassle at Walgreen’s it seems like.

      • Tina M

My local Walgreens is great! I encourage you to at least try them. The RR are a pain sometimes, but they do have some great sales! There are several stores in my area and some of them are not as coupon friendly as others. I try to avoid those stores and shop at the ones that are more helpful. As several others suggested, try to get to know some of the cashiers and managers. It seems to help if you are an established customer and they know you are not trying to abuse the system.

    • Tracie

Walgreens is a bit of a hassle. I took a suggestion from someone last week and used my RR at Harris Teeter. I just handed it to the cashier with the rest of my coupons and they scanned it with no questions asked. I think I am going to still shop at Walgreens but use my RR at HT.

    • Rm

Walgreens ugh! Bought several items used 3 coupons the cashier refused to take my manufacturer coupon that had the target logo on it. said it was a competitors coupon even though I showed her it started with a 5 and clearly had manufacturer written across the top of it. grrr!

      • angela

I had that problem at a CVS in Springfield, MO.

    • Kelley D

My Walgreens was out of several of the things yesterday (1/25). I never thought of asking for a raincheck… and one that would guarantee the RR. Thanks to the person that mentioned that.

    • Katherine

Went to WAGS this weekend. Learned two things I wanted to share:
      1. I was able to use my expired RR. Cashier scanned it with no problems, no beeping or anything. It was just two days expired, maybe that had something to do with it.
      2. Filler items. I bought 2 Pert Plus and 1 Clean and Clear. I had a coupon for each item plus $2 in RR. Cashier told me I had to get one other item because it only let her use 1 coupon per item and RR’s count as coupons. Oh wel..just grabbed a pack of gum :)
Love the Newnan, Ga and Carrollton, GA WAGS. They are very nice and helpful!

      • Angel in Charleston

You got lucky! I tried using a RR on the day after it expired and they wouldn’t take it. Very frustrating!

    • Mandy

Can someone shed some light on my recent transaction at Walgreens. I purchased two of the Pert products (2 for $5). Total was $5.35. I handed her two coupons totaling $2 and my $2 RR. I still owed a dollar plus the tax; but the cashier says their “system” will not process all of these unless I purchase another item. Anyone had this experience? Care to share your knowledge with me?

      • Natalie559

It’s true and it threw me for a loop my first couple times at WGs. You will see on your RR in the fine print that you cannot use more coupons than items and that the RR counts as a coupon. So you had 3 coupons and needed 3 items for it to process. This is why Jenny lists the cheap filler items.

      • tryingcoupons

Hey – that’s a good question and YES, the cashier was right. RRs count as manufacturer coupons and you are only allowed one manufacturer coupon per item.

So in your scenario, you purchased 2 items and wanted to use 3 manufacturer coupons (2 ‘coupons’ and 1 RR). So yes, if you had purchased an additional ‘filler’ item, then you would have been able to use your 2 coupons and your RR. That’s why Jenny will post ‘filler items’ for WAGS. Pick out something cheap – for example, this week is TP, gift sacks and pencils. Look at this week’s list above on the bottom, you’ll see “Filler Items” at the end of the list.

        Hope that helps!

        • Mandy

THANKS ladies! That clears it up for me. Unfortunately the cashier on duty couldn’t explain the WHY other than the ‘system won’t do it”!

    • mandy

No luck with the B1G1 razors coupon here in Jax, FL. The cashier sd that the items will ring up as $5.99 & $1.00, so I wld only get the $1.00 off. I tried to explain the coupon to her, but with no luck. Oh well.

    • Tami

As a long time Walgreens employee, I came here today to express that many of the shoppers from this website are EXTREMELY rude. They give this website a bad name. I try my best to make every shopper’s experience at our store a good one. If I don’t know the answer to your questions, I’ll find someone who does. But I DO know what I’m doing when it comes to my store’s RR policy, and I know what the register will accept and what it won’t. I really don’t appreciate shoppers who read on this site coming in and fighting over FREE merchandise, and acting so condesending towards employees. Can I just give you a hint? If you are NICE…I will be much more willing to help you get what you came after. Maybe I’ll even save you one back when the shipment arrives that week. I might even let you use a better coupon, if I happen to have one available. But when you are rude, I just don’t feel quite so helpful….Just a thought.

      • Jenny

Thanks for reminding all of us to be sweet.

      • Ashley

I have to say Tami, I very much appreciate your attitude of going above and beyond for the customers of your store. I worked for years in retail management and I know that the customer is the # 1 priority. My store increased in business because of this.

I started couponing just last September. I had no idea what hell I would have to go through thanks to the EXTREMELY rude Walgreens employees. Shopping at Walgreens is the most God awful thing I have experienced and, I now know exactly why my customers would gush at the customer service I provided as a manager.

I am EXTREMELY nice and am never rude, but as a Walgreens customer it has meant nothing. I have yet to explode on these people, but feel that it could happen at any time. You must understand, the bottom line is, WE are the customer and we have very busy lives. I feel outraged, extremely angry, and depressed when I am treated rudely and condescendingly each and every time that I step foot in Walgreens.

So remember, Walgreens has a very bad rap. Almost every single Walgreens employee is EXTREMELY rude at ALL of the FIVE stores in my area.

I know there are lots of rude people in general, but it may be that some of your customers are fed up with Walgreen’s service in general. That is the case here from my experience.

I hope you are able to successfully train your employees on the values of customer service, so that every customer will not be treated as if they are “going to be” a rude customer.

      • Amy Cole

What’s wrong with just being cordial to one another and following the rules? Why would one have to jump through certain hoops in hopes that you will “hold something back” for me or give me a better deal than you would another customer? Are you saying I would need to bring in treats for all the employees to get something really good, or be fake and gushing with happiness and enthusiam to please the store staff so they’ll make my shopping experience more “worthwhile?” Something in that feels inherently wrong to me. I am an honest shopper working with the established rules of the manufactures and the stores. The advertised deal, honoring the manufactures q’s and a cordial shopping experience by both parties is all I seek.

        • Amy Cole

True story: I was in Wags today wanting to purchase the Pert and Bic promotions and they were out of both (typical for that store). I spoke to the checker behind the cosmetics counter to ask her if they had anymore and if not may I get a raincheck, she said, “I don’t know, you will have to ask someone that works here.” I said, Oh, I’m sorry, I thought you worked here.” “Well, I do, but only part time, I don’t know the merchandise.” I stood confused for a moment, smiled, said “thank you” and walked on.

      • KB

I don’t think all the rude expression gives this website a bad name… just Walgreens! I have a very hard time at Wags also, not because of the employees though. CVS just has a more relaxed register system and really applaud the idea that people are getting merchandise at such a great deal. It makes everyone feel good!

    • ACCmom

Thanks for the heads up on the Pepsi products, I was getting seriously low and this is my only big vice. I had my husband help me as well. We got 6-12 packs of Mtn Dew/Pepsi, 8-2 liters, 3 quarts of Gatorade and a 6 pack of Gatorade for the kids. The total for the 2 transactions was $41.00, then I used my $5.00 WAGS gift card I received in the mail for completing a survey. I have $20.00 in RR, a $10.00 rebate form-we’re lucky that VA is one of the states participating. Which leaves my total at $6.00 for all of the above.
Thanks so much for this and all your hard work, I should be set for about a month. One very happy person!!!
I always check your website before going shopping. Even my kids are getting into it. Off topic but cute. I had to purchase my youngest daughter tennis shoes as she had outgrown the ones she had. I had Dillard’s gift certificates, from Christmas shopping, and found her a cute pair of purple shoes. She was so excited I found her a pair of purple tennis shoes. Then she asked me if I got them on sale. I told her yes and then she pulled her arms down in excitement saying yes!!! She is only 5 1/2 and her face lights up when she finds me a coupon.

    • shelley

Also, they have Sure deodorant 2/$3. Use your $1.50 coupon from the paper off each and they are both free!

    • Sherri

I want the Stacy’s Pita chip coupon but cant find it. What zip do I need?

    • Bethany

I just read through all the comments and was a little surprised to hear all the harsh comments about Walgreens. I understand how frustrating these experiences can be for us all. But I want to highlight what one other person mentioned, that knowing your store can help. I have two Walgreens in my area. I experienced a few issues with one a few months ago and decided to try the other one. This store is so nice to me! They know my and my children and seem excited to see us every week. I go at the same time, so all the cashiers know us. I get all the good deals and try to be honest with my couponing. They in turn do their best to help me even when the system is not cooperating. Last week I even had a manager cash a RR ($10 for the Pepsi deal) out for me when it did not print! So there are some good Walgreens out there!

    • Tina

What zipcode do you have to use to get the DiGiorno and Stayfree coupon to shop up?

    • Susan

I am not surprised at all the comments about Walgreen’s couponing frustrations. Yes, you do have to get to know the stores couponing policies (and attitude towards) but the 3 out of 4 Walgreens here have kept me from returning and not even looking at their circulars anymore. Unless I have a prescription forget it. I have gotten to know them by the unwarranted comments and embarrassment at the registers in front of other people and find it in my best interest to pay a higher price than to shop there and be harrassed. I am a very honest, open/not easily hurt person but do not appreciate being treated like a criminal WITH USING A COUPON! GET REAL WALGREENS! Poor leadership is always filtered down so I don’t always blame the cashier even though a corporation can’t always control their workers. They can though, have a clear, written coupon policy and training to ensure there is good, working communication to their employees and ultimately to the customer. Until then, I’d rather go to Walmart. Sorry Jenny to waste your space…YOU ROCK!

    • tryingcoupons

      Hey all –

I’m just going to add my two cents here. In the Greenville/Spartanburg area, I’ve not run into one rude employee – it’s actually been quite the opposite. With CVS and Walgreens, I’ve always been afraid to do more than one transaction in one stop, but the first time I tried at the new WAGs in Duncan, I was pleasantly surprised. When I prefaced my trip to the counter with, “Ok, I’m going to do several transactions here…” the cashier said, “Sure! I don’t mind! We get people that do that all the time. If it saves you money, I’ll help!” She even scanned a coupon for me that i wasn’t aware of.

The frustrating thing about WAGS (for me) has been items that don’t ring up for the sale price. Sale items on the shelves that are not marked. I always carry my ad with me now to make sure that I am, in fact, picking up the right thing and so that I can show the cashier. It takes more time at WAGS because you have to pay more attention!

    • BH

I can’t find the printable huggies wipes for .75 nor the Huggies snuggies like the scenerio says for this week. Can anyone help?

    • reggie

Bottom Line on Walgreens: Have they changed the policy with items that are BOGO? Can you not use 2 coupons with BOGO? Tried to do the oil of olay deal today and they would not use 2 coupons. Do we need to call Corporate Walgreens to find out?
Isn’t that why we love Walgreens, when make-up and so many other products go bogo we are able to buy 2 with 2 coupons?
Just think its so much easier if we have one set of rules that all stores go by!

    • Michelle

Info on Wags in CLeveland TN, I had a conversation with a couple employees(maybe even asst mgr, or mgr level) about the complaints on here, and what their q policy was. She said that they don’t mind breaking up transaction to roll ecbs , using q’s etc. She said that it’s better to do all this at the cosmetics counter and that shes more than happy to do it and that the cosmetic counter emplyees know more about how to do this. This was at the Wags @ 25th, the Wags on Ocoee(near keith and walmart) has also been pleasant. I will just say that the wags off apd 40 isn’t as nice, my friend tried to do Jenny’s diaper/pull up deal, and they wouldn’t let her, her oop was like 35, she was very frustrated.

Also~The neosporin lip RR deal is also still going until the 30th for those that weren’t able to get it last week, I was able to get it today.

      • Misty

Glad to hear there is a wags in TN that is friendly. I am in hixson, tn and the ones I have been to around here are horrible.

      • Michelle

I have to say I have been finding it the exact opposite! Just as an example, I went to WAGS on my lunch break and bought 2 packs of little movers huggies. (8.99) with the 2 dollars off and the 1 from the coloring book and 3 packs of wipes. 2.50 ea with the 1 dollar off each from the book and .75 c off from coupons. The cashier rang it in diapers first then wipes, she did store coupon first and then the manu coupons for the diapers and it worked but she did the same thing for the wipes and it did not work. She could not get the .75’s to go at all. She voided the whole thing and tried it again wipes first, still did not work. Manager had to be called over and although totally nice, could not get it to work either. I had a bunch of extra items I tried as well, the 10 cent bags or whatever they were and no number of them rang in would allow me to take those .75 coupons.

Ultimately I had to just apologies and have him close off the whole thing and I had to leave. They were very nice about it but the times they are a changing in WAGS I think. If they do not like using the Wags coupons and manu coupons together they should not make them available to the public.

        Just my thoughts.

        ML

      • Susan

I live in Chattanooga (E. Brainerd), and the cashiers and manager are the best. I check out at the make up counter and they are always very friendly and helpful. Kudos to my WAGS!

    • blyss

i have had SOOOO many problems with walgreens I always plan out everything I am going to do for the week and I work Rite Aid, Walgreens, CVS, and Publix and I have a budget of $30 (I have a stockpile) and EVERY WEEK something doesnt go right at Walgreens either I cant use this coupon or they are out of something like a really low priced filler so I ALWAYS BLOW MY BUDGET BECAUSE OF THEM grrr… I dont want to complain too much but them and Target always hassle me on my coupons grr..but I am grateful that they accept them at all hmph
