Trying to figure out how Zicam is $5.99 (I love that stuff) …

      • Its $9.99 on sale, use a $2 store coupon from the February booklet and $2 manufacturers coupon to make it $5.99!

        • CVS Lady

          Jenny,
Please excuse my D'OH moment! I didn't see the store coupon for some reason. Thanks :)

      • Sarah B

If you live near Winn Dixie, Zicam is BOGO free. Using 2 $2 off coupons makes it $3.74 each.

        • CVS Lady

No Winn Dixie in my area :( (but thanks)

    • Mhaubrey

is the price on the enfamil gentlease ( $5.50 ) right? If so, then that's a steal!

There may also be a coupon in the February coupon book for WG… at least I think that's where I saw it.

        • Amy

Yep…that is where the IVC is ($2/2) and it makes them .50 each! Stock up!

          • Nikkibishopmy31

Will you explain what you mean? Im confused on IVC!

            • smash

“Instant Value Coupon” is printed on the store coupon

      • Pennydealchick

There is a Wag coupon for $2 off the purchase of 2 which makes it .50 each…my kids love the yorks…yeahhhhh

    • Nita Royal

I noticed on the fillers, some were listed “w/in store coupon”. Since the filler is to balance the number of q's, doesn't that just generate the need for another filler?

      • Rlynn103

the 'in-store' coupons are wags coupons, and are not considered manf. coupons. It's 1 manf. coupon per item purchased. RR's are considered manf. coupons. At least, this is how I understand it.

        • Jane

I don't think that is correct. The total number of coupons (store and mfg) can not exceed the total number of items purchased. This is why it takes a little bit to get the hang of shopping at WAGs.

Therefore – to answer the op's question – yes, using an in-ad coupon for a filler item (i.e. to offset using more than one coupon on something else) means that you will have to buy at least 2 of the filler items (one for the in-ad coupon and one for the 2nd coupon on the other item). However, if you choose your fillers wisely (i.e. pick something that will be less than 20cents), this does not usually add that much more to your total. I usually grab a handful of filler items (pencils, tissue paper, seed packets, etc.) to use as needed as I am going through the transactions and then put back the ones that I do not need.

Also to note – you do not need to turn the in-ad coupons in to the cashier and can use the same coupon multiple times for multiple transactions. I usually clip out the good ones (i.e. cheap ones) from the insert, staple them together to make a little booklet, and just let the cashier scan/enter whichever one is needed during the transaction, but I keep the booklet in case I will need those in-ad coupons again later in the week.
          hth

          • katie

The in-ad coupons do not count toward your total coupons. You need as many items as your manufacturer coupons and RR togther. You can also scan an ad-coupon once and it will give you the sale price up to the limit stated (ex: pencils 6/$1, limit 12), no need to have one ad-coupon for each filler item.

            • carrie

I second this. The WAGS coupons do not count towards your total, whether from the weekly flyer (aka “in/ad coupon”) or from the monthly booklets they put out that are found on the same stands as the weekly flyers.

          • Shelleybob10

Jane you explained that very well. I just ran into that same scenario only I grabbed a pack of gum at 1.29 for my filler item……..I needed something smaller, like a .39 item! I just got nervous and folded. LOL! It does take time and strategy to plan a good Walgreen's trip, but they do have good sales. Shelley

          • Rlynn103

I shop at Wags several times a week, and the in-ad coupons have never counted as manuf. coupons. It's one manf. coupon per item purchased. RR's are considered manf. coupons, not the in-ad. At least this is how the 2 stores in my area work.

          • $avin'some$

hopefully, you will be glad to learn you don't have to buy an extra filler anymore!

      • $avin'some$

no. the in-ad Qs are the only type that you don't have to worry about in that regard. they don't count as a “coupon”, thank goodness!

    • Bridget

Can you use the coupons mentioned on the large 16oz package of Blue Diamond nuts?

    • Roxane

Last week I made 2 separate purchases. On the first purchase I got $3 RR which I used for my 2nd purchase. Well,on my 2nd purchase I was supposed to get $2 RR which I didn't get (the RR didn't print out). I asked the manager how come I didn't get my RR? I was told that you never use your RR coupon toward another item that is supposed to give you another RR coupon. Did anyone encounter this problem?

      • Rlynn103

Only if it is from the same manufacturer. You can't use a proctor & gamble RR to pay for another proctor & gamble item that is supposed to give RR's. I have alternated purchases before, so that it will work.

        • Roxane

          Thanks. I

trying to figure out the Olay deal – the free facial moisturizer wyb body wash is only up to $6.00 and this Olay at CVS is @ $12.00 am I missing something?

      • Katkoupon

the cheapest i found at cvs was $8.97.

        • Katkoupon

          sorry $8.79

        • Dee

Thanks. Will Wags let you use the free facial moisurizer coupon and another coupon off of the bodywash? I know CVS will, but not sure about Wags.

          • Katkoupon

They should, but I am new to wags, so I am not 100%. I used both last week at cvs and had no issues.

      • Guest

I went ahead and used the coupon at CVS. They just took $6 off of the moisturizer which made it around $3. That's not as good as getting it for free, but it was something we needed and I figured $3 wasn't too bad of a price. :)

      • Casey B.

I just looked at the price for the Olay facial moisturizer at walgreens.com & it is showing $8.99. If that helps you any.

      • Bunkie72

I used that one yesterday & the face moisturizer was $8.99, but the cashier was new & didn't realize the coupon only allowed $6. She took off $8.99 & I didn't argue. I'm sure she'll learn her lesson…..

    • Katkoupon

I have 2 kids in diapers! One uses pull-ups/easy-ups and the other wears whatever is on sale! We'll gladly take whatever diaper/pull-up/easy-up ones you have! Thanks so much!

    • Reshoe

Walgreens question. If I get 2 Febreze can I use both, a B1G1 and $1 off, on that purchase? Thanks! Am kind of new to this but getting better!

      • Katie

You can as long as your $1 off is $1 off 1. In that case, the $1 off applies to the first item, and the b1g1 applies to the second item. And that works with the one manufacturer's coupon per item policy. However, if your $1 off coupon was $1 off 2, you cannot use both it and the b1g1, because then two coupons are being applied to the second item.

    • Tashamlindsey

Was wondering in the Lipton tea is a good deal or not? Or does it go on sale at publix cheaper at sone point?

Also the same for sloppy peanut butter?

      Thanks in advance

      • Tashamlindsey

        Sorry. Skippy peanut butter

        • Hrosa66

LOL! This typo made my day.

      • Dbisho13

It depends, usually Publix or any grocery store for that matter does not have buy one get one for the decaf tea bags. I think it is a good deal because I only use decaf and that is a good price for them. However it is difficult to get mutiple boxes of tea at drug stores. I tried to find them at CVS this week because of their sale and was unable to find more than one box to get the deal. So good luck finding the amount you need. Not so sure about skippy question.

      • Bunkie72

I think the pnut butter is a good deal. It was more expensive last week & if you have coupons for the tea & Skippy (& Ragu!) the $5 RR makes it even cheaper. I'll be buying these this week for sure.

    • Motiv77

Hi. I have been couponing at Publix and CVS for about 2 years, but have never done Walgreens. Now that they just built one by my house I thought i would add it to my list. any helpful pointers? are the RR the same as ECB's?
      thanks

      • AshleyD

No, they aren't. Walgreens registers are very picky. If you have 2 items and 3 coupons you have to have a filler item. They don't offer good rain checks. If they item has RR you won't get them at all on a rain check :(

      • DianaY19

Yes, and NO. One big difference is that the RR are treated like manufacture coupons…that being said, you have to have an item for every manu. coupon or RR. That's why Jenny always lists “filler” items. You can use store coupons with the RR. It's not worth it most of the time in my opinion.

      • Nita Royal

WAGS is the most difficult store to deal with, IMO. Especially if you want to use RR's on a purchase. Be careful to note the manufacturer if it isn't printed on the slip. (I write on mine!) If you try to use one RR on an item that generates more RR's, you do not want to use the same manufacturer, or the new one won't print.

      • Aflmom

I love Walgreens! Yes, it may be more work, but there's no limits like CVS. If I can only get 1-2 items on sale, it's not always worth going to CVS. For instance this week I got 21 FREE (no rr involved) toothpaste at Walgreens and made $5.01 on every neurogen I bought. I buy for a church ministry, so I spend a lot of time at Wags!

        • lee48

Wow! I enjoy walgreens also. I am fairly new to couponing, but fine walgreens fun. I word love to know how to get 21 toothpaste for free.

      • Bunkie72

I have 2 Walgreens in my town & I usually have to go to both to get everything I want because they just don't stock enough on the shelves. And they don't like to give rainchecks. If you don't pay attention to the cashier, they will always ring up the store coupons first, then the manufacturer coupons, then the RR. And they aren't always willing to do multiple transactions either. Many times my stores don't even get in the sale items at all-& yet I still go…..

    • Katkoupon

I have a check-looking thing from Enfagrow, it says to use as a coupon. Does anyone know how these work? It's $5 for Enfagrow products, one picture shows Enfagrow Gentlease. Is this the same as Enfamil Gentlease? and can I use it towards the $5.50 sale and get for $0.50?

      • Bunkie72

I think the Enfagrow is for toddlers, not babies. I use a lot of Similac vouchers & they usually treat them like checks-they run them thru the register & print on the backs of them. It's very much like a coupon for the consumer-you should be able to use it how you're thinking.

    • Esa

Will someone please remind me of the order that coupons need to be used at Wag? There use to be an arcticle on here about how to shop at walgreens as far as filler items needed and order of coupons but I am not seeing it anymore…

      • Guest

        Any $/$$ (like $5 off $20 purchase)
        Register Rewards
        B1G1 manufacturer coupons
        Other Manufacturer coupons
        Then Store coupons

    • Shml1912

Just went to Walgreens and all of the sale items that are suppose to start tomorrow started today. The tag on all of the sale items also said that sales starts 2/5. Didn't know walgreens started their deals one day early!

      • Herene

You are only able to get items that have sale prices one day early. RRs will not print until Sunday.

    • I just want to make sure on this, if I get the Gillette razor deal I can not turn around and use the RRs on the Olay body wash, correct? becuz they are both PG… I hate rules… Only reason I shop at Walgreens is becuz I can usually work it out to where I can get my Papers for free. But this week im torn between the razor and the body was. My husband has about 8 razors and I only have 2 BW left. buttttt BW is cheaper then razors uggg

      • The Coupon Wizard

It doesn't always work that way. I had done the Vick's deal last week and then used the $10RR to buy a ProGlide this week. It spit out the $4 in RR for the razor even though I had used a P&G RR to pay for another P & G product. Not sure if it was because I had fillers in there or not, but was pretty happy that it came out. This is the 2nd or 3rd time I have actually gotten rewards back this way. Other times, nothing happens. I usually don't like to roll the dice.

        • Rlynn103

I was told once that if it is different dollar amounts it will work, even though it's the same manf. For instance, you can use a P&G $3 RR towards a purchase that produces a P&G $4 RR. I believe this has worked for me in the past.

    • Hojo76

I'm new to this and have a question. If something is on sale B1G1 50% off and there is a $2 off coupon in the Savings Book, can you use 2 of those coupons? And are those coupons like the ones that are in the ad that the computer will automatically duplicate (so that you don't have to cut up a lot of ads)? The coupon says “Limit one coupon per customer per offer”.

      Many thanks in advance!

      • kristenk

at my store, if it says limit one coupon, they will only let you use one. if it's a manufacturer's coupon you can use more than one, unless it says otherwise. at my store, the computer does not “automatically duplicate” the coupon, but the clerk will usually just scan the same coupon for the number of times you need it.

      • BoxerMom

If its a walgreens coupon (barcode has 4 digits on it at the end) It will adjust accordingly at the register. If you buy 2 items and the coupon is good for $1/1 it will take off $2.

    • Michaela

      Hey everyone,
I am new to all this. Could someone explain what RP, SS, WYP mean? Also where do you het all the manufacturer coupons. Coupons.com site doesn’t have them all, neither Redplum. For example where was the coupon for Ragu pasta sauce and Skippy peanut butter… And lots of sites that I go to for a coupon from here don’t have any available or I will register, it will say coupon is being printed and I get none at the end??
      Thanks

      • Bethany

Some of them depend on your location. For example, the coupons for my zip code in MS will sometimes differ slightly for ones offered in GA. Sometimes you can use more than one zip code to get different Q's. HTH!

      • Cmt261

Jenny has great tutorials. Reading through them will really help with all the jargon, soon you will be a pro!

ragu and skippy were in the newspaper inserts last week. RP 1/30 beside it means Red Plum insert, 1/30/11

    • Right Guard Total Defense 5 Body Wash had $1 off coupons on them… worked out great..

    • GA~mommy

Why is there coupon links to target coupons when walgreens doesn't accept competitor coupons?

      • 3monkeysmom

Some of the coupons on Target's website are actually manufacturer's coupons :)

    • Andre

My store had 6oz Colgate MaxFresh on clearance for $2.19, making each tube 69 cents.

    • Holister

We got FREE Colgate Total Toothpaste at Walgreen's today! Here is how:
Our store had the 4.2 oz Colgate toothpaste on sale for 1.99! In the FREE Diabetes and You Magazine found at the Walgreen's Pharmacy there are two coupons for this product: $1 off 1 Colgate total 4-6 oz and in side the magazine there is an add for $1.00 off any Colgate Total toothpaste 4.0 oz or larger! So using both coupons we made 1 cent off of each tube of toothpaste we bought

      Great time to stock up!

    • Cjcopp

Hi Jenny, I believe that buy Arnicare for $5.99 and get $6RR is a monthlong deal. Just wanted to say thank you for all you do.

      • Mcleodsc

check your package for a 1.50 off coupon inside-makes it an even better deal

    • Amie

Are the toilet paper sales good deals? Haven't been couponing for long, and am wondering if this a good price to take advantage of?
Also, how do you sign up for RR? Do you just go to the store and sign up at the checkout counter?
      Thanks for any comments!

      • Nita Royal

You don't have to do any signups for the RR's. Just buy the item, and the coupon should print. You will want to read the “getting started” guide to do WAGS, because there are a few tricks to making their deals work.

        • Amie

Thanks so much…good to know! I have been wondering about it, and haven't taken advantage of it since I wasn't sure about it. I'll definitely read about WAGS!

    • Stefluvs2sign

FYI the Right Guard body wash for $3.99 (get back $3 RR) has $1 coupons stuck to them at my Walgreens which made it FREE!

      • DeezNutz

    • Dolllady_38

I am new to useing coupons,,and trying to make my money stretch. I whent to my local Walgreens… I though I could use my coupons with my purchase. I was going to get the Ragu Pasta Sauce. I had 10 of them and I had 5 coupons, they was buy $15 and get $5RR and I had 5 coupons for .60 off . The casher told me I could not get RR if I use my coupons. So I left with out getting the Ragu , untill I find out the truth. So someone that knows please tell me… Thank you

      • Guest

Don't know what the policy is, but I use coupons and get RR all the time.

      • Ranger03

That is crazy, I shop wags all the time use coupons every time and always get my RR.I would talk to the manager if I were you.

      • becca

I got 4 jars yesterday with coupons!

      • KA

i have been shopping WAG for a while and this started heppening at my store last week (2 different occassions). cashiers told me if you use a coupon the RR wont print. I filed a complaint and the manager called me today, he said they are suppossed to print unless it was a “free after RR” item, in which you cant “make money” off of it. you need to ask for the manager at your store, mine said they are suppossed to work, but for some reason they havent this week

        • Mysterious_Mentalist

Another store employee making his/her own conclusions from his/her limited understanding. I used $2 off Q for Arnicare and I still got full 100% reward back. Again, employees seem to be itching when they see people do smart shopping; they feel everything is crazy going while neglecting the fact that Corporate marketing is working great for the manuf and retailers.

          • workatwags

I coupon, and help my customers get the deals. If I have a coupon, I offer it to them. What gives you the right to judge, mentalist? The employees have no control on what the register will accept and won’t. Stop accusing them. Most employees don’t even know the deals if they don’t coupon. ( they feel everything is crazy going while neglecting the fact that Corporate marketing is working great for the manuf and retailers.) Quote from Mysterious_Mentalist. That statement did not even make sense. Get your facts straight before you accuse the cashiers of being itchy, because most do not have a clue of the deals. Maybe you should start your own blog, you can educate your followers. I have seen several of your posts, not many have been positive. Just your perspective on how things should work. So take your negative comments elsewhere. Jenny provides this service to help people. Your negativity is not welcomed. You seem to have sooooo much knowledge, take it to your own blog. I am a Walgreen’s employee, and do not like what you have insinuated. Please make sure I spelled insinuated right, I work at Wags.

            • Anonymous

I provide my posts to educate others and empower them with correct knowledge. My posts are certainly negative sounding to those employees who feel “it is coming out from their paycheck.” If you are not that employee, I do not see why you would take this personal. I have read so many posts here from people here complaining about cashiers at WAGs giving hard time-This “negativity” would not have existed if employees had some basic skills of logic and common sense.

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

This is not correct. You should have been able to use manuf Q and still get RRs: they are two different marketing venus and they do not cancel each other. Unfortunately, average store employees only know how to ring an item and collect cash or credit and do not pay attention to how it works. Therefore, I would not count on employees.

        • workatwags

Pardon me, I have been working at wags for 3 months, and have read several of your posts befor I started working there. I would appreciate it if you would not make the employees out to be average. If the register does not accept something, a manager's approval is needed. It has nothing to do with the cashier. The RR should have printed, each store must have their systems set up differently. My store prints out RR after coupons. It's not the employees, it is the way each store has their systems set up, read the posts.

          • Maybe

I think that people are just frustrated with the lack of knowledge that a lot of walgreens employees have, pertaining to coupons and their own company policy.

          • Mysterious_Mentalist

I hope you read the context of the post that I responded to. If you did, you would not have said that. To my understanding, there is one Walgreen register system based on their corp. policies. If the “store must have their system set up differently…” then the store must be reported. Each WAGs store is not independentlyly franchised; they have to adhere to general policies in principle.

To give you an idea the type of uneducated employees I have been encountering-One Walg MANAGER scolded a cashier for letting me use multiple RRs. I politely corrected her and showed her very easy spelt out copy of WAGS policies. She read the respective line, in easy English, and still said “no it meant one coupon …..” Basically, she lacked basic reading skills. I did not argue, laughed it off and she simply embarrassed herself in front of her sub-ordinates. Needless to say, I do not budge on what I believe and is right thing to do. I have to stand firm on what I educate others about. I am simply calling spade a spade-that's all !!!!

      • Mnicolewhite

This just happened to me. Tried to do the Garnier, bought $15 worth, used (5) $1 Qs and the manager said since they are manufacturer coupons, if it makes the total less than the $15 required, you don't get the RR. This isn't how it used to be. That probably does it for me with Walgreens.

    • For the Hershey's Pieces or Drops on sale for $2.50, there is a $2/2 coupon in the 1/30 SS and a Walgreen's Instant Value Coupon for $2/2 on Walgreen's coupon page. Goto Walgreen's website, click on Weekly Ad (upper right), type in zip code if prompted, click on coupons (left of page), and you'll find the coupon in the food section. Combining these two would make $0.50 per bag.

      • chan

Good suggestion! You can also find the Walgreen's coupon in store inside the Feb (Valuetime) savings booklet. Saves on pronter ink!

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

That manuf Q. says for 17.5 oz or larger; the sale is for 10 oz ones. What am I missing?

        • There should be 2 coupons for $2/2. One is for the larger size and the other is for the smaller size.

    • Mandie33n

What will happen if I use the Nivea BOGO lip care product at Walgreens where they have nivea lip care BOGO 50% off?

      • becca

        You get both free!

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

You will most likely pay $3.99 for two. They are $3.99 each; so the second one will ring up about $2. The manuf Q will be applied to $2 (probably). Thius will leave you with two lipcare for $3.99. If the cashier takes off $3.99, then you will end up with two for $2.

    • Another great week at Walgreens! Does anyone else find it strange that Walgreens seems to have stepped it up, while CVS is pulling back? I miss the good customer service at CVS, but I can't complain about the great deals at Wags right now. Thank goodness I finally found a store that is relatively coupon friendly so they don't give me a hard time. This week I spent $5.51 for $85.86 worth of stuff. Woot woot! (click the link on my name for detailed transaction info.)

    • couponginny

Did anyone do the olay deal at wags with the BOGO q's for free olay lotion? Our wags did not have any lotion for less than $6 so the cashier rang it up to pay for the lotion, and get the soap for free – but it didn't get RR's. Now I lost my q's, the RR's I paid with, and I spent a lot of money. Not sure how to resolve it. I know I might could get my q's back but prolly not the RR's….

      • lee48

I have tried CVS and Walgreens for this coupon and at both stores the lotion is $8.99. Plan to try Walmart and check prices.

      • Marina C

The deal is just valid for the NEW Olay collections that are on sale for 3 for $10- The body wash, lotion, or soap. I'm thinking you bought the wrong type of Olay

      • nancycrom

When I checkout, if the deal doesn't work for whatever reason, I just return it right then so I can get back my q's and RR's.

    • Monique B

Limit 1 coupon printed per offer – I am planning my first Walgreens trip today and I am looking at some of the RR. In particular the Dish Liquid 5/$5 and $1 RR. Under the ad it says “Limit 1 coupon printed per offer.” Does that mean I can only use 1 coupon if I buy 5? Or can I buy 5 and use 5 different coupons? Thanks!

      • couponshandy

you can buy 5 and use 5 coupons. The limit one means you only get 1 RR that prints for each deal. (You can get more as long as you do it in separate transactions.)

        • Monique B

          Thank you so much. :)

      • CCShad

No, I think that means they only print one RR for that deal. They consider the RR a coupon. It is confusing how they worded that, though. Today, I bought 5 Gain dish for $5. I used 3 of the P&G $1/1 and 2 of the $.25/1, and the $1RR printed out, making it only .50 for all.

      • couponshandy

BTW, you can use 1 Store Q AND 1 manufacturer Q per item at most places. Otherwise, you can only use 1 q per item. So if you are buying 5 items, and publix, for instance, has a q for that item, but you also have a manufacturer q for the same item – then you would be able to use 10 qs for your 5 items. Make sense?

    • kelly

my wags won't let me use their coupon and mq together. I tried last week.

      • CCShad

I would carry a copy of their policy which says
“When purchasing a single item, Walgreens accepts one manufacturer coupon and applicable Walgreens coupon(s) for the purchase of a single item, unless prohibited by either coupon offer.” See Jenny's link at top of page.

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

There may be a misunderstanding; we are missing some information. You may be trying to buy one item and then try to use the manuf Q and the RR Q. Those two on one item wont work;and the employee might have told you that. If that was not the scenario and you had correct number of items scanned corresponding to same number of Qs (manuf and RR), then the employee was wrong and need to be educated.

    • Jessie E

I was having trouble deciding between buying the Garnier Herbashine at CVS or Walgreens. I have a $4 off $20 at CVS that would have made the total cost $8 and get $10 ECB. However, I didn't have any ECB to lower my OOP. So I went to Walgreens, bought the hair color, two pieces of candy and used $4 in RR. Total $3.90 but NO RR printed. This is the first time I've had a problem… have always used coupons and/or other RR and have always gotten the advertised RR. Sent an email to the Catalina company and hope to get them soon, but for the trouble am kicking myself for not going to CVS instead. They have a few grocery type items on sale I could have gotten for free with that $10 ECB :(

      • Pertinacity

Whenever that has happened to me, I bring it to the attention of the cashier. If the printed ad states you should receive the RR, they can manually make it print, provided they know how.

You can always return your items to Walgreens and go right back to CVS. No harm in that!

        • Jessie E

In the guide to Walgreens the advice was to not worry about it in the store – as they CAN fix it but generally won't. So I sent an email to the Catalina company and am waiting to hear back. Even without the $5 RR, $3.90 for 3 boxes of hair color is still a good deal.
I got a few things at CVS anyway, and am planning to go back tomorrow or Thursday. Now that I found a shade of the Herbashine I like, I am going to stock up. 3 boxes at $7 is $21. Have a $4/$20, the $3/$10 cosmetic from the magic box, $9 in coupons and $2 ($3 if I can find one I lost!) making my total $2-3 plus tax. And I'll get $10 back. So the way I look at it I just got a year's worth of hair color for $6 and made $10-15 back. I'm ok with that.

          • NJ

in the past, when I have contacted Cataline Co, they make some BS excuse why I cant get my RRs – hope you have better luck then I. Had anyone gotten RRs from contacting them?

            • Jessie E

I just got my reply basically stating that they have forwarded the request to some other department and I should hear back in 6-8 weeks… I'm thinking I should have just asked about the RR while I was still in the store, and will do so in the future.

CVS is so much easier to deal with!

        • Guest

Walgreens cannot manually print a register reward…the item must be rung up in order for it to send out. All they can do is give you a form to fill out and send to this company, where they will in turn mail you the coupon. This is what Walgreens instructs their employees to do if a reward doesn't print.

    • Kourtenay

The Right Guard Total Defense 5 body wash is on sale for $3.99 and the company stated on their Facebook page that there would be a $1.00 off peely coupon on the bottle..PLUS you get $3.00 back on each in register rewards! So you're getting this for free! I just hope they have the peely when I get there this afternoon!

      • They did when I went there..:)

        • Kourtenay

yup..they were in the front of the store with other sale items..peelies attached!!!
.in the back where all the body washes were, they were all gone so if ya'll look and can't find them in their usual spot ask someone. :D
I bought $66.54 worth of merchandise and only spent OOP $23.60. Granted I had a free Breathe Right strip RR from last week.

    • Pertinacity

Extra $4 RR printed yesterday – compliments of P&G. I did the Garnier deal (got my $5 RR), the Right Guard deal (got my $3 RR) plus the bonus $4. Any idea how I received it? I'd like to try the whole scenario again, if I can get the same rewards.

Loving Walgreens for a change. :o)

      • Kourtenay

I got the extra 4 RR too and wasn't prepared for it..not sure how I got it either but it was a nice surprise!

    • WG has there Hershey's Drops for $2.50 a bag, WG has a store coupon for $2/2 and I have Manf. Coupon for $2/2 , I can use both right?

      • I did on Saturday and got them for free b/c at the time they were 2/$4 but still 2 bags for a buck is decent!

      • KA

yes, i used this sunday and got 8 bags for $4 (4 coupons)

      • Christself

Absolutely, It's like paying 2/$1…I love the candy as well…lol

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

        jjjj

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

If I am not mistaken, that manuf Q. is for 17.5 oz or larger; and the sale is for 10oz or smaller ones?

    • Ok, so tell me if I'm wrong, (morally) if it's ok to go to the 9 WAGS within my 10 mile radius and buy the 3.99 hand sant. and 3.00 Right Guard Wash to get back the $7 in RR's totaling $63 in RR to use on formula and baby food? I mean…I guess I'm 'cheating' the system, but the stores are all so close to me, it would take me less than an hour to hit them all and then I can save a bunch on this lil guy that's eating me out of house and home. haha Thanks folks.

      • KA

you dont have to go to 9 different stores. you can purchase them all in separate transactions at your store. each transaction is a new customer.

        • Kourtenay

KA is right. I had 3 individual transactions one right after the other. It's really not that big of a deal…like I said before, go to the beauty counter's register, not many people pay over there.

      • pat

I'm lost on how you make money to buy formula with this deal. You nver said how you are paying for the hand sant and the right guard. We know that you can't roll RR's you received from the previous purchase So whats up? Also you will pay at least .48 cents on each trans for tax. Looks like you would also need a filler. Want to explain????????????

        • Kourtenay

Pat..you pay out of pocket (OOP) on your first transaction…Make sure you have coupons for the hair color..that helps alot! …after that you pay hardly nothing ….once you have your RR's, (you would have gotten them from your first transaction mentioned above) and you go to make another transaction, you need one RR for each item you're purchasing. Example: I have 3 RR's..and want to purchase 2 items, I need to purchase one more item..so I picked a pencil for 29 cents. However, the items I purchased have to total more than the RR's before tax. Hope that helps.

Also, I made my purchases at the Beauty counter..they're usually less busy but the gal that waited on me had to call the manager for help…poor thing.

          • Abcismyhrt

I believe Pat's response was to ConcertKristal. Which doesn't make sense to me either on how it would save her money on formula and baby food. I guess in the end she would have the rewards to use for baby food and formula with alot of body wash and hand sanitizer

            • Abcismyhrt- Yes. My husband uses the body wash and we use hand sanitizer a lot in our home. I pay out of pocket for the sanitizer and wash but get the RR back and then use those to pay for baby food and formula. I would just be going to 9 different Walgreens to do it. I feel I would look silly going into the same WAGS over and over to collect the same items for RR's in one week for the same items, you know? Thanks to those who have replied. :)

            • Gracie

@ConcertChristal, are you saying you would pay out of pocket at each store? Because in most cases you cannot use your RR to purchase the same items again. As to going to different stores, evidently you're like me, a bit uncomfortable asking to do more than one transaction. BUT I have moved up to getting them to do 2 trans.. esp. if I can use the cosmetics counter. I plan to work up to doing 3 soon! LOL!!! I will say this, last week I went in did my 2 trans actions.. a couple of days later I went back to do it again. I passed the store manager on one of the aisles, he put his hand up to the side of his face as he passed me and said, ok.. I don't see you here because you are only allowed to do these deals once.. so I am looking the other way! LOL!!! But I have read through everything and from what I have read that is only one coupon/deal/RR per visit.. so if I went back later or the next day it appears to me I could do it again! I made a lot of money last week on the neurg. stuff… So now I've got a lot of RR's to spent in the next week or 2! At times I felt a little bad about buying more than a couple.. BUT I only bought a total of 2 at a time at any one store! I did not nor would I clean the shelves. And it is something my Mom can use. I am always spending money at wags BECAUSE of the couponing! Money I would have never spent at drugstores. So I think it is a win win situation for us all.

            • Carolinepetal

DO not feel silly. Every knows that you are stock piling. If they ask tell them you are stockpiling. It is okay to stockpile. On the last day of the sale, some managers do not care that you do several transactions of the sales items anyway..

      • Mamaberry

I say kudos to you! Instead of clearing out the shelves at two or three stores, you are willing to drive around to different stores and be fair to everyone in the area.
You need the products, so it's not wasting your money, it's saves you money on your formula and baby food because you can use your free money to buy it. And, no, it's not cheating the system. It's working with the system. It would be cheating if you were deceptive about it. You are doing quite the opposite. You go girl :)

      • Carolinepetal

Just wondering if it is cost effective if you are using your vehicle to go from one store to the other. I buy multiples daily as walgreen is near the subway stop where I get off. The sales people allow me to catch at least two free items separately. I do the transaction on my way to work/from work. One of the managers in my area tells me I am his best customer LOL because I buy several of the same items once it is on sale.

    • Nigel

      My trip to WAG.
Halls Cough Drops x 2, Herbashine x 3, Colgate Tpaste x 1, Colgate Tbrush x1, Gilette Fusion Rasor x 1, Milk x 1gl, Filler @ 49cents. Before Coupons and RR ($11) was $51.69 inc tax. Total OOP $10.83. RR coupons for next time $12. Made a $1.17 profit! Way to go. Love this!

    • doc

I went to my wags today for the lysol soap dispenser. It rang up $7.89 had a $3Q(can print off their website with registration) and got my $7RR. The paper states 11.99$. Lucky day for me and the plumber came early today.

    • mimi

I went to Walgreens yesterday and bought four cans of Progresso Soup. I used a mq for $1 off four cans (printed off of Facebook), used a coupon from the ad–4 cans for $5, and used a 50 cent coupon for Progresso soup from the monthly booklet. I wasn't sure if the booklet coupon would work with the ad coupon but it did. I got four cans for $2 which is a super deal!

      • Guest

        Thanks for sharing!

    • Jeannagripper

Does anyone know if I can use a $1.00/1 Olay Moisturizer Q along with the B1G1 Body Wash/ Lotion Q? I know my Target allows you to use a coupon on a free item, but not sure about Wags.
      Thx

      • jessc5

No. If the coupon was “buy the moisturizer, get the body wash free”, it would be OK, but that coupon is “attached” to the the moisturizer. You could use a coupon for the bodywash if you have one…

    • MaryJane

      Hi, I'm new and I don't understand senerio #1. 3 @$5 = $15. 2 @ $2.50 = $5.00 for a total of $20.00. Minus the 5 coupons = $15. Where do you come up with total due $9.00? Apparently I'm missing something. Thanks.

      • Nurzingismylife

she is udsing 3 of the $3 off coupons and 2 of the $1 off coupons for a total of $11 off making it $9

      • Pjarnie

        I think you have 3 coupons for 3 $'s off = 9.00 and then the 2 coupons for 2 $'s off = 2 then 2 + 9 = 11.00 … Your total is 20.00 – 11.00 ( in coupons ) =9.00 due. I hope this helps.

    • $3 RR WYB Right Guard Total Defense 5 Body Wash, 13.5 oz., at $3.99
      (makes it 99¢)

Just got this deal but to make it even better on the bottle there was a $1 off coupon. Which made it $2.99 with $3.00 back in RR. So I got it for free with 1¢ back!

      • Mamaberry

        Yahoo! That's what I call a great day :)

    • Kim

Is the Veripur Hand Sanitizer deal advertised? My ad (Richmon, VA area) doesn't say anything about getting RR. And when I asked today at Walgreens the cashier just said no because the ad doesn;t say so.

      • Dkhearn

I'm wondering about that, too. :) I just went to a Walgreens in Midlothian, VA and my RR did not print for the hand sanitizer, the planters trail mix, or the Ocean Spray juice……so that really wasn't a good deal for me, but I did find some good things in the clearance section…which made it worth a trip. :)

    • jennsheats

can the $1 olay pcc coupon be used on bodywash?

      • Guest

What is Olay “PCC” anyway??? Been wondering since I got those Qs!!

        • jennsheats

          personal care cleanser

THANKS! I would have NEVER figures that one out. lol

I went yesterday to get the diaper deal. I bought 3 packs of diapers and a box of sweethearts for total $29. I used 5 off 25 purchase (from the attractions coupon book) and 3 $2 huggies coupons. But, my 5 RR didnt print. The lady called the manager over and he said it was because I used coupons. So he rerung it and didnt put the total through without coupons and it printed the RR. He let me have it, so I was happy. Just wondering if you anyone knows why this happened. It didnt say anything in the ad about the total being before coupons just 25 dollars in product. Just confused and wondering if anyone has any answers.

I had a similar issue a few weeks ago with a got2be deal with RRs, according to their policy, it should still work with the coupons. I contacted the company but they said that is correct, you can use the RRs, but then made some kind of excuse about already using the RRs so they cannot issue new ones, which made no sense to me at all.. but I guess it is worth brining to their attention since it seems like it happens.

At the Walgreens near my house, the right guard body wash has a $1.00 off sticker on the bottle, so it actually becomes free.

At the 24 hour Walgreens in Sumter, SC someone stole all of the $1.00 off peelies. I talked to one of the ladies stocking and showed her the spot where the peelies were. It took alot of time for someone to steal all those peelies. I am wondering if they actually have any security people or security cameras in that store. If someone spent even 15 minutes pulling off all those peelies SOMEONE should have noticed them.

Same thing @ the store near my house. There were probably 7 or 8 bottles on the shelf & only 2 still had the peelies attached.

HA…I bet it was an employee!! They were probaby instructed to remove them before putting them on the shelf..due to the sale

No it wasn't an employee, I went into my store yesterday and they were all gone. I even hid them behind the bottles that didn't have them. Someone came in and took all but one of them. We probably had 15 bottles with peelies.

I am a Walgreens employee and there are certain people who look for those “stick on” coupons and take them all. The product does not come to our store like that. There is a separate company that is hired by, for example, Procter & Gamble, to put those stickers on the products for whatever reason. I love the coupon people…they bring a lot of sales in our stores, which is our ultimate goal. FYI When a customer uses coupons, we treat it like cash on our end, so they do not take away from our bottom line, therefore we have no reason to peel them off just because something is a good deal.

I AM SOOOOO TIRED OF WALGREENS!! Every week I take my time and get together all of my coupons. It never fails they give me a hard time about using my coupons. I have never shopped with walgreens and not had a problem! The managers are no help! I have the policy with me and they act like they don't know how to work the register. I've decided not to waste my time with them any more! At least not the one in my town Moncks Corner SC.

I just moved from Moncks Corner. I know someone there who has that Walgreen's all figured out. Go to Mister Peanut, the produce/seafood stand
by Bi-lo, and ask the skinny young lady with the long brown hair. She is
        a coupon queen. Good Luck!

I have been couponing at Publix for a few months, and finally devided this week to give the drugstore thing a try. Just got back from Walgreens, and I AM HOOKED! It was much easier than I anticipated it would be. Just wanted to thank all you guys for your comments and tips, without seeing everyone's success, I never would have tried this! Thanks again!

The Your Pharmacy coupon Colgate coupon did not work at my Walgreens.
Anyone else have that problem? I don't want to pay money when it's free.
      Thanks

Would someone tell me what I was doing wrong? Is everyone else getting the toothpaste free?

I really need some Walgreen's help. I'm so confused, and am wondering if Walgreen's cashiers are taking advantage of me due to my newbie status. Here's what happened.

      I had (2) $2 register rewards.
I had (2) $1 coupons for Nivea lotion.

I purchased (2) Nivea lotions. I used the (2) $2 coupons, and tried to use my (2) $2 register rewards. They told me I couldn't use them, because I had used coupons for the Nivea lotion already. But I though the register rewards were supposed to be just like cash? The cashier and her manager both said that I couldn't do it, because it would be the same as using (2) coupons per product purchased. I don't have this problem at CVS…I purchase things, use coupons on them, and use my ECB's all without a problem.

I've also had a situation where something I purchased was $2.99. I used a $3 register reward so it would be free (essentially, I realize I'd still have to pay tax)…but they wouldn't let me do it because my purchase was less than the $3 I was trying to spend.

Can someone help me figure out what's going on? I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!
      Mariah

Mariah, you have to have as many items as you do coupons,so if you have 3 man coupons and 3 rr's then you need 6 items..hince the filler items.. hope that helps, also if you have a coupon for an item that is less than the coupon, they have to use the coupon . but only for the price of the item and not any overage.

Thanks, June. Okay, another question then. Suppose I want to purchase Colgate toothpaste, and there's a Walgreen's coupon for $.40 off, and I have a manufacturer's coupon for $.50 off. If I'm only buying one tube of toothpaste, I can only use one of those coupons, right? Unless I add something like a piece of candy or something?
