    • Mary Ratican

Jenny-Both of the walgreens in my area have stopped rolling register rewards. Is anyone else having this problem?

    • Beth

isn’t the diaper deal this week (5/10) at walgreens – 2.50 a pack is a good deal!

    • Kathleen

There will be a Reach toothbrush and floss with RR’s deal the week of 5/24 – 5/30, so I am going to wait until then (from iheartwags.com).
Just wondering, in your experience is that a trend… a sale followed a few weeks later with a RR deal? New to this couponing thing and if I hadn’t seen the advanced ad, I probably would have bought the items during the sale w/coupon, but the RR deal allows for stockpiling (my new addiction) followed by bragging about it (also pretty addicting!)
I live in east central FLA and have been telling everyone (willing to listen to me brag) about your site… AWESOME!

    • Dixie

Where are these small .05 cent fillers? I’ve looked around the registers and other places, but can’t find anything. I feel like I’m missing something obvious–probably am! :)

    • lynn

kathleen i live in npr florida and been oing the same thing lol

    • meg

the cheapest thing I found (without doing a lot of scouring was a 39 cent chocolate bar. (Carlos V by Nestle, but it might just be a Texas thing)

    • Kathleen

I recently scoured my area visiting 10 different Walgreens w/in 25 mile of my house (I work 2 days/week that far away) trying to find the Nivea body wash (every store was/still is out except one on Tues of that week). I had to readjust my shopping plan and found the clearance section in each for future reference. Wow are they different at each store! Some are minimal but the closest store to me has a load of 3 pack pencils for $.10.
Big lesson learned: they don’t always have the clearance items marked down in the computer!! I had to wait to get a credit for something and that sometimes makes it not worthwhile; but it is infrequent, so I consider it part of the job :)

    • Brandy

I have a few questions about the vitamin water deal. The in-ad coupon is 3 for $4, making each one $1.33. If I buy 4, will the fourth one ring up $1.33 or full price? Also, if it does ring up the same as the others, I have a deal scenario I want to run buy everyone to see if it will work.

      Buy 4 Vitamin Waters

Use: 2 BOGO coupons for two of them
2 $1.00 off coupons for the other two

This would make it $.66 for all 4.

I can do it this way right? It seems like I can, but I am not one for confrontation and do not want to do anything wrong! Help.

    • Alyssa

9.5 oz Starbucks Frappuccino Drinks are 3 for $5 at Walgreens in the month of May. There is a printable for $1 off 1.

    • Donna

Beth, are you sure about that diaper deal???? I hope you are right!!! I desperately need diapers!

    • Zandra

The Wags here in my area(NC) do not roll RRs either.

    • Zandra

      Diapers? Did someone say diapers??

    • Jenny

      Brandy,

The 4th one will probably ring up full price but at full price. It is hard to say. Some Walgreens deals really mean it and stick with the price break only if you buy 3 and some deals you could buy 1 and get the sale price. If you had 3 B1G1 coupons that would be ideal. Buy 6 for $8 and do 3 B1G1 and 3 $1 off.

You can always try it and see how they ring up and then decide whether to do it or cancel out before you use the coupons.

      Jenny

    • Beth

Different Beth here: Beth, are you talking about the Walgreen’s jumbo diapers, B1G1? Are they normally just $5 per pack? Wow! Let us know if they are comparable to other diapers!

    • Beth

Oh never mind — just saw where Jenny has a coupon listed for this (diapers)!

    • Eve

Walgreen diapers work fine. Since stumbling across them at $9.00 b1g1f They are what I use. Now that the baby is older and sleeps all night- We do see some leaking…

    • Jessica

Just got back from a frustrating trip to Walgreens. I’ve never had a problem using my RR to buy another (but different) item that generates RR (I’m assuming that this is what the others above refer to as “rolling” Register Rewards). Tonight I tried to buy Dr. Pepper (today is last day of last week’s deals), but they wouldn’t accept my RR from a previous week for this deal that would generate new RR. The cashier said he’s worked there for six months and the computer has never allowed RR to be generated for an item paid for with RR, even if it is a different item. I know that’s not true, because this is the Walgreens that I shop at all the time. He said they just had a big meeting where they were told this is the policy. Ugh! If this is true, this is just one more reason why I prefer CVS. I actually find myself avoiding the items on the list that generate RR, because I feel pressured to hurry and use them with their short expiration dates, and now they are even more of a pain to use. Give me CVS ECBs any day.

    • Jo Ann

My Walgreens will not take RR & a coupon for an item. It is either the RR or the coupon. I know I could use a filler item. However, when I buy my family’s perscriptions, I do not use filler money. Plus my Walgreens will not take an in store coupon & a manufature coupon for an item. It is either one or the other. Plus if you buy an item with a RR, you do not get a RR.

I am angry! For the past 2-3 yrs, I have had 17 perscription for my family filled there monthly. I am moving all them!

Walgreens is aweful! I will tell EVERYONE I know not to shop there!!!!

    • Jerri

      Hi Ladies,
Jessica I’m having the same problem with my walgreens RR, They won’t take them if I have coupons and if I ask for a manager they will only take one RR and lately there RR’s are either a $1.00 or $2.00. I prefer to shop at CVS I never have a problem with them.

Jenny Thank you for your hard work. I have saved lots.

    • Jerri

By the way Happy Mothers Day Ladies enjoy your day. God Bless.

    • Brandy

The Target ad states vitamin water is $1.00 ea. Better than the Walgreeens price above. Thought y’all would like to know.

    • Beth

I have $6.50 in RR and don’t want to spend too much oop but not seeing too much to do, should I just wait till next week and hope for a better deal? (newbie here)

    • Amanda

Hi I’ve noticed that most coupons in RP & SS must be regional. In today’s SS in my area(TN) I have a coupon for a free Glade warmer with purchase of oil refill and also a $1 off the twin refill or two single refills. With them on sale this week makes it a good deal.

    • Cindy

I work for Walgreens. And its true if you bought Dr.Pepper last week and you got a 5.00 rr and you buy dr pepper products a different week and if you try to use the reward to pay for it it will not print the new 5.00 reward . What i have learned ladies is this when you get a reward over to the side write what you got the reward for so when you are buying again you will know not to use the same rr. (even if its a diff week). And yes we are to take the manufactor coupons too.. The manufactor coupon is for a specific item and the reward is for the whole purchase.

    • I am having the exact same problem with Walgreens. I am done with them. I have tried two different ones, 20 miles apart. I had the manager call me and he even had a hard time explaining the rewards program to me. He said corporate is trying to come up with an easier program and asked what there was he could do to help me. I told him, “I am not interested.” No more Walgreen’s for me. Too much trouble for saving a few dollars.

    • Jennifer

What does SS stand for.. I am trying to print the Palmolive coupon..??

      • Jenny

SS stands for Smart Source. It is the name of one of the inserts in the Sunday Newspaper.

    • Cynthia

If you read the fine print on the Walgreens register rewards, it says “total # of manufacturer coupons/RR cannot exceed the number of items in the transaction.” Last wk I was trying to buy 3 items with 3 coupons and 3 RR. At check out the coupons were accepted and the RR rejected, the clerk was real helpful as we tried to figure out why. Then, I add 3 $.05 candies; with a total of 6 items in the transaction, it accepted the 3 coupons and 3 RRs. And I received a RR after the transaction.

    • Hillary

My Wags won’t let you roll RRs, either. They also won’t give you RRs when you use any type of coupon. I still manage to get some good deals, though, like diapers for $2.50!

    • Tricia

My Wags will honor coupons, and let me stack (sometimes I have to argue that one) but they won’t let me use RR’s to purchase RR items with the same RR value. For instance, if I try to buy something with a $1 RR, and the item I’m buying earns the same amount, the reward won’t print. If I buy a $5 RR item and use that same $1 RR, it prints. Frustrating, but I can always take my RR coupons right to Publix, bless their hearts, and use them there, so I still shop Wags if the deals are good. Not this week, apparently!

    • Alison V.

Clairol Natural Instincts is $2 cheaper at publix right now anyway.

    • melody

check out the deal scenario for walgreens from http://www.survivingthestores.com/
also there is a coupon for the omegas i think it was a pdf from their site. $5 off one per household.

    • Shannon N.

the iceland health omega coupon has joint health product pictured and says “Discover Iceland Health’s Secret to Make Joint Pain Cease
Good only on retail store purchases.” but doesn’t indicate good only on Joint health purchases, worth a try. http://www.ceasejointpain.com/

    • Libby

My wags won’t print out rrs if you pay with any. My solution: only buy things that I need that give rrs and I have a q for then – use my rrs at Publix!

    • Paula

Yesterday, I went to three Walgreens and rolled my RR just fine…. Did the Colgate deal with coupon and RR from last week; Did the Bayer deal with coupon and RR, Did the Roots of Nature with coupon and RR; did the Icelandic Cod Liver Oil. Received all RR just fine.

Today – My Walgreens did not give out RR. They said it was because I paid with RR. I said the RR was from a different company – I used the $8 RR from Icelandic to pay for Bayer and the Roots of Nature. I should have gotten a 2.50 and 6.00 RR.

I was soo excited about roots of nature as I have a friend who just adopted 3 children from Ethiopia and I am getting a gift basket together for her.

    • sarah

the wags diaper coupons states it can only be used on regular priced walgreens diapers.

    • Carrie

In lieu of a $0.05 cent item… I send ONE picture (online) to be printed and ready for pick-up when I do my shopping. So, instead of getting a $0.05- $0.10 item that I don’t really need… I get one photo of my family! And, since it is another item… it helps when I am redeeming coupons and RRs. Maybe this will work for you, too.

    • Tarin

Today I forgot my filler item (newbie) and the manager had to come over. He told the cashier to take the RR as cash! No problem stacking in-store with manufacter coupons. I used nearly $17 in RR which were about to expire. Only bought one product -All – that gave a RR: it did print,no problem. Kraft coupon link (coupon.com) has a coupon for 2x All. Not the best deal ever, but I used my RR on something I really needed.

    • beth

Carrie—that is an awesome idea!!!!! I will try it next time

    • Priscilla

Today I purchased the M&Ms that were BIGI for $3.79. A $1.00 RR rolled out after my purchase. Did not see it listed in ad so it was a pleasant surprise for me!!!!

    • Alyssa

GREAT idea, Carrie! Thanks for sharing :)

    • Donna

My Walgreens had the Clairol Balsam hair treatment dye on clearance for 2 dollars. There is a 2 dollar off coupon in the paper from about two weeks ago which makes it free! Thought I would let yall know so you can be on the look out!

    • Tiffani

I would like to let everyone know that I work for Walgreens. All in all it is not a bad place to shop you just have to understand the policies and some of them are not our policies. About the RR- for example, if you remember last week we had the pepsi 12 packs on sale, if you bought the three 12 packs and got the RR you cannot then get another RR if you bought three more pepsis. In other words you can use the RR from the first transaction but the system will not print out another one. That is pepsis policy. This might help you ladies that are having difficulty understanding. Also in some cases if you are purchasing a lot of items that print RR and you use a lot of RR and manuf. coupons it may not print out all of your RR. Just another kink in the system.

    • Billie

How did ya’ll find out about the Frappucino deal? I couldn’t find it anywhere in my flyer…is there somewhere to get additional information, or was that just a piece of “inside” info?! I will get every one I can find at that price…those are my guilty pleasure in the summertime when it’s too hot to drink my coffee in the morning (and the kids are ready to go to the movies, pool, bowling, etc.)!!

    • Laura

FYI – Walgreens also has their tub size baby wipes B1G1 this week.

    • Sylvie

      Jenny,

Do you know the Wags policy for Rain Checks? I asked my cashier about a rain-check for the Fish Oil tablets this evening after finding a couple of stores sold out of them. She said that they are not allowed to give rain-checks on RR items. I told her that I knew there would be no rain-check on the RR, but that I had hoped to just get the sale price when they were re-stocked. She said it’s company policy not to give rain-checks on any items with RRs.

Have you (or anyone else) heard this before?

    • Beth

I went to my wags last night and no one had the $2 off walgreens diapers coupone, the cashier said he would put it in for me. I got two packs (bigi) he was only going to take off $2 not $4 until I told him it was off each diaper. He said ok and did it for me!! I also got a gallon of milk and paid with my 8RR so oop was .29 cents for 2 packs of diapers and a gallon of milk. I was trilled!! but now I have no RR. Did I do this right or should I have gotten something else to get a RR , or either way I still would have had to pay $8 out of pocket or used the RR. Am i right? (I’m still a newbie) I need any help I can get– LOL!

    • Sandra E

If I already bought the Bayer aspirin last week and got rrs last time, can I do it again, or is it just a one time thing?
