    • Tiffany

Wow! Can't wait to spend my $20 in RR from the neutrogena deal!!!

      • Brooke

Nothing here for me. Saving my RR's for next week.

        • Samantha White

Be careful about holding those RR's. The expiration dates are getting VERY SHORT. If you don't use – you lose.

WAGS is all about BAIT and SWITCH sales tactics. NEVER ordering enough product before a sale and VERY SHORT expiration dates on their RR's.

      • jamie

I've done that deal twice so far: once last week, once this week. Both times, there were only 3 left! I'm truly hoping they'll do it again. My daughter is a preteen (12), so I'd like to stock-up on Neutrogena, so make sure she always has something good for her skin.

    • photographer770

I really like the deals @ Walgreen's but I DON'T LIKE WALGREEN'S EMPLOYEES IN ATLANTA SORRY THEY MAKE YOU FEEL SO UNCOMFORTABLE ABOUT USING COUPONS !!!!!!!!! I have to go way outta my neighbor hood just to good CS.i really thinking about calling corp on these rude cashiers!!!!!!!! Sorry needed vent!!!!!!!!!!!

      • Connie

We should ALL let the companies know when/where the employees are rude to us. WE are the customers who are keeping these companies in business and paying their salaries. Their corporate offices sure don't want us to give our money to another company.

        • Beth

I get the same kind of attitude from the Walgreens in Lex, SC on the corner of Main Street. They treat me like I am a criminal for using coupons. I called the customer service number yesterday to speak with them in regards to their q policy and attitudes. Not sure how far that will go… If their not careful they will be in the same financial shape as the store next to them… BLOCKBUSTER! Will shop at CVS anyday vs. Walgreens.

          • jess

about a month ago i emailed the corporate office because they wouldnt let me use the man coupon with their store coupon for the infusium 23. and were very rude about it.. about 2 hours after i emailed them the store manager of the wags i goto called me personally, apologized told me his employees were wrong to tell me i couldnt use the 2 coupons together (already knew that) and he sent me a 20.00 gift card. i think they had a meeting and was told who i was, because now when i go there i have NO problems and they are sucking up (but to the point where it makes ya sick) anyways… never be afraid to get a hold of the corporate office.

    • k.kiley

this all looks great.. but if you are only limited to buy 3 items/ get 3 refunds for, if you use coupons, how will some deals work? why only 3 items limitation, you ask,.. i went to walgreens today. i was looking for the ecotrin, $2.00 SALE/ $2.00 rewards, needless to say the shelves were empty.. the manager walked by, i asked him if they have any more, he said no, i asked when they will be in, he said.. sometime next week.. i told him that it sucked.. the sale would be over then, he said i could get rain check, wanted to kno how many i wanted, i showed him my coupons, i was instantly told that when u use coupons, you only can get 3 rain checks and or only buy 3 items.. he don't carry that many items at a time and he wouldn't sell me that many anyway.. and he rushed off.. he went straight to the cashier, my daugther was in line, he informed cashier that that lady, meaning me, had over 40 coupons and that i was limited to only 3 items only. needless to say.. i kept my cool… walked thru store, noted every item that was on sale, and was out of stock, and also collected 3 of each item that i had coupon for, went to check out… i got exactly 3 rainchecks. even tho some items had no limitation noted in weekly add, i was half way into ringing up my other items when the register shut down, key pad went black, girl called manager, he stated that my card was no good, i told him to please do it manaully, he said they don't do that anymore, it's not his problem, my card was no good, it was on me.. to bad, i was told to leave the cart if i couldn't pay for it.. what a nasty little man, i did call 1- 800 number after i got home, the guy on phone looked at flyer and couldn't find limits in ad, on the items i got rain check for.. wonder it i had a handful of cash.. bet there wouldn't be limitations.. lol

      • photographer770

omg!!!!!!!!! I'm s sorry this is what Im talking about with WR i might have to take a break from them for a while they are about to be on my list not shop along with walmart lol

      • diane

UNBELIEVABLE!!!! That is awful. If I were you and had spare time(but, who does?) I'd…I don't know, but something. We all know, and the stores should, too, that coupons make MORE money for the store. It isn't like wags is giving something away with a coupon; they get all the money back – AND MORE. Just terriblw.

At the bottom of the ad is says limit 1 on the free with register reward items. 40 coupons…wow. You were lucky to get 3. Most Walgreens it's limit 1.

      • camp

how did you manage to print 40 coupons? i have some thoughts but i think i'll just keep my lip buttoned on this subject :P

      • Carla

Just a question – did you have 40 coupons just for the ecotrin or did you have a total of 40 coupons for many products?

If you were going to buy 40 of one item, I see why the manager wouldn’t let you get that many rain checks.

As a couponer, I try to limit the how many of one particular item/product I buy, as I know there are others out there wanting to get the same “deal” I am getting too.

The store manager should not have treated you that way, no matter how many coupons you were using!

    • Jesse

isnt the $4/2 PG 5/02 coupon expired? i just used mine at CVS last week to get 2 gilette body washes for free and get $8 ECB back!!

      • k.kiley

check dates, some did expire, some still good

        • Alexis

Speaking of expired, I found tons of expired baby sunblock at my WAGS this week. Mamas, please check this before you buy! I bought from Kroger instead…

    • ScottK

another big PASS for me on walgreens…I need to stop looking..

    • Sheila

I have officially stopped shopping at Walgreens. I have had enough of their abuse. I had stopped shopping there already but my daughter was really loving shopping at hers so I thought I would try once more thinking maybe I had been rash. I shopped at the McDonough, Ga Lake Dow store last week and this week and unless it is the only store still open in the whole world, I will never go there again. I was not buying large amounts of items, all of my coupons were in perfect order, they refused several and during my transaction the manager came and stood at the cashiers station, watching me like I was shoplifting because I was using coupons. I have never been insulted so badly. They refused to take a $1.00 coupon for .99 reach floss and had a nasty attitude about it like I was trying to steal .01 from them, and that was just one of the many things they did during my very small transaction. I walked out with my $10 register rewards, litterally feeling like I had done something wrong. It was horrible. I will not even look at the ad or coupon match anymore because I will not give them my time and definitely not my money.

      • cassiee

ditto! I dont' shop walgreens anymore AT ALL! CVS is soo much nicer and easier to work with and they actually appreciate me couponing there! go figure! :)

      • Mary

Just the opposite in Ballentine, SC. I hate going to CVS. I go very seldom and have to work my nerve up to go. I try to be on my very best behavior as not to aggrivate them. Usually they don't have the products though – even if you go at 6:00 on Saturday evening. Every once in awhile they will be nice and it always makes me wonder what's happening. I think the – I think he's the manager – eats nasty pills every morning. The Walgreens across the street couldn't be nicer. They always are helpful and – I think he's the manager – will tell me to come get him to open a register to check me out if the one in cosmetics is not open. The lady that is usually at the register in cosmetics is wonderful. Will even help you figure out how to get the most out of your items and coupons. The Rite-Aid in Chapin is also nice for the most part. There is one cashier that I try to avoid but other than that they are good.

        • Jo

FYI Mary, West Cola CVS is awesome

        • Kim

THat's the Walgreens I go to, too. Thanks for the info on the CVS. I hadn't tried them, yet. Now, I won't worry about it.

      • Jbush27

I know that one. I live in Conyers and go to the one in Conyers, but rarely. I just don't like the register rewards as much as I like ECB's. I have never had an issue however, with coupons at the one I shop at.

      • JM

The store mgr @ my Wags will actually increase the price of the product by a penny so I can use my coupon. I probably drive them crazy w/ all ogy coupons when I'm there but they are always patient with me. I love WAGs and CVS in MID TN

      • sophia

totally agreed with you. we all been abused by their system and rude cashiers, managers for so long. i stopped shopping there for more than 6 months. i still check their ad though. somethimes there're good deals like i can't resist. but when i think of the past experience, i just closed the ad and check with rite aid and cvs.

      • Amy

The register beeps at me every time I go to Walgreens. You have to do coupons in a certain order and you can't have more than a certain number and many times it won't accept my coupon even though everything should work. Usually the cashier has to get another person to help and the manager has to come to the front. Today I tried to use the $2 off 2 Reach toothbrushes coupon and it was such an ordeal I began to wonder if shopping at Walgreens was worth the effort. The cashier voided the whole transaction so many times to get the coupon to work that I wasn't even sure what she was doing after a while. There's not enough room here to tell you the issues I've had with the pharmacy (wrong label on meds, no patient counseling on new meds, long waiting times, etc). I think I need a break from Walgreens.

      • Samantha White

I've been through the same scenario at WAGS over and over. By the time I left the store I was fuming mad. The inconsistancy between store policies and the bad attitude toward customers is unbelieveable.

Shopping at WAGS is why valium was invented! Anyone who has the patience to deal with their policies and submit themselves to their abuse should be elected for sainthood!

      • WalgreensCouponer

As an employeee of Walgreens, I hate hearing these stories. I am so sorry you've had to endure that kind of attitude. At my store, most of us use coupons and are more than happy to take the time needed to help with your transaction(s). May I suggest trying the cosmetics counter for your couponing needs? The BAs are there for the sole purpose of selling and the coupons make no difference to their bottom number. As a bonus, they have much more time and flexibility to work with customers when the front register person gets it from all angles if they take any amount of time to complete a transaction. Not only can a manager come down on them for accruing a line but the customers behind a customer with coupons can be downright horrible to the front register person. Again, I am so sad to hear the people representing the company I work for have treated you all so sorely. People that coupon truly comprise a great deal of our business and should not be treated as stated above.

        • angelb

Love our new Walgreens in Laurens – Super nice employees. She took me over to the cosmetics register to ring me up and was REALLY helpful since I was new to this. I'm glad to know Walgreens has an employee reading these comments to try and “fix” stores that have bad attitudes.

          • Cynthia

I too love the 5 Walgreens close to me. i ALWAYS checkout at the costmetics counter as they need the sales and they have the time to be patient with me! I leave them the coupons i am not using…Loreal, Olay, etc, to share with other customers and that helps them be helpful. THEY ARE AWESOME!

      • caroline

I called 1 800 walgreen whilst at the store in Alantic Avenue, Brooklyn, New York. The consumer representative said
that the store should change the price to one dollare and then
take the coupon. I allowed the representative to speak to the
manager on my cell phone and he agreed to do so. However if you are using the a $10 RR for the transaction with the rejun vitamins that cost 9.99 ensure that your cashier change the price. Mine did not change the price of toothbrush because the
computer accepted the 1.00 coupon for 99 cents but it threw off my calculation and so it was not easy for me to use other RR $$$ amounts to my best benefit. Only wanted to pay tax and not part of the cost of any commodity.

        • Elissa

I was at Walgreens in Commerce today to get the Pro-Glide deal. I did not even use RR to pay. I used a $4 coupon and the RR did not print. He told me that you cannot use a coupon and have a RR print for the same manufacturer. Since Proctor & Gamble were sponsoring this deal, this is why the RR did not print. I explained to the manager that no where on the ad did it state this. He then printed the reward for me and told me that I was ripping off Proctor & Gamble. I have done this many times at the same Walgreens and have no issues. I am just tired of getting treated like a criminal for trying to save money!!

      • Susanne

I live in McDonough, GA and I have shopped at the Lake Dow store but not very often but I have encountered no problems. However, I have never had a $1.00 coupon for something that cost less so I have not experienced this. I usually shop at the one on Jonesboro Rd or one of the two on Hudson Bridge (Eagles Landing Parkway). They are very nice and appreciated it when I explained to them that you can not use a rr from the same manufacturer and get another rr because they did not know this and they were taking the abuse from the customers when they do not print so now some of them warn the customer.
I have even told several of the employees about this site. You might want to try one of these stores.

I have had no bad experience with them at all and I appreciate it when I get something for free or almost free because that means I can give it to someone who needs it.

Can anyone esle find the “-$5 off Gillette Fusion Razor, Coupon Found Inside Product”? I have bought both the manual and power version but neither of them have that coupon (or any coupon). Bummer.

      • camp

also looked and didn't find any coupon inside the product

    • Mary Ellen

I am sorry so many of you have a hard time at Walgreens. My store in Aberdeen NC is absolutely wonderful. I made a couple of trips this week and the cashier and manager were so nice to help me. When the candy RR didn't print out, He made sure I got one. My cashier is so nice and was so surprised when the soap reward printed out. I had to tell her and she seemed to appreciate it. The manager never seemed to mind me being there with my coupons or anything. I hope you can find a friendly store close by.

      • Susan

I agree. I have yet to have a bad experience at the Wags in Chalmette, LA. They are always nice and very helpful. They always congradulate me on all the money I save! I also share with them and they appreciate that also. Another thing I think they appreciate is that after one transaction, I move to the back of the line so other customers don't get angry with them. Every store is different. Maybe the people who have recieved bad CS should call their corporate office and complain……I'm sure they don't want to lose your buisness!!

        • Jennifer

I too have discovered a wonderful Walgreens.

Haven’t been couponing long and had heard others’ horror stories, then experienced a few of my own at another Wags. Ugh.

But all the cashiers and manager at the wonderful Walgreens have been very helpful and super nice EVERY time I’ve been in – which is often! One of the cashiers is also a SouthernSavers.com couponer. :)

        • Tawanda

          Susan,
I’m in Louisiana as well, NOLA to be exact. I would love a coupon buddy.

If you were able to get the advance free proglide razor in may, there was a coupon for $3 off the proglide cartridges as well as $2 off gillette proseries skin care

i can't find the 1.00 bayer q. there is a 1.50 q that is for a specific bayer. do i need to be using a specific zipcode?

Looking at the rebate offer for Swiffer, it looks like purchases have to be made before 6/30/2010. The receipt has to be dated before that even though the postmark on the envelope goes through July. Therefore, it is too late to fill out the rebate on current purchases.

      • Jbush27

But it's not the end of June yet. Am I missing something?

    • Ruth

Oops. Disregard that last comment. I was thinking we were already in July! Looks like the Swiffer offer will work!

    • ivegotcutekids

Does anyone know where I can find the Jergens coupon? When I click on the link it doesn't show up. Thanks!

      • NewSaver

This is what I did. Go to http://www.jergens. com/breakthroughs/natural_glow.asp
(omit the space between jergens. and com)

Scroll down to “Find the best Jergens Natural Glow product for you” and click.

Then click on “Find the product for you” Take the short quiz, and then on the bottom choose the “get coupon” option.

There may be an easier way, but this is what I did.

    • gr mrt

what does it mean when it says tearpad in red under an item such as the kelloges cereal?

      • jhoran

Tearpads are coupons on a pad that you tear off, usually found in the the stores next to the item . Blinkies are coupons that come out of the little black coupon boxes found in the stores next to the item. HTH

    • ScottK

This isn't exactly related to walgreens, but since this is a week everyone is complaining about walgreens I'll tell you about what just happened at family dollar because it seems to be very similar to what some of you have gone through.

I have never shopped family dollar, but I went in to get the $2 welches with the facebook $2 coupon. The line was 4 people long and they were as slow as could be, when I finally get up there the cashier says out loud “manufacturers coupon” as if to signal the rude manager. She runs over and goes “oh no, that's from the internet, we can't take it. IT'S FAKE!!” And I said “well no, they have a promotion on facebook where..” *interupted* WE CAN'T TAKE FREE COUPONS and I said “it's not free, it's $2 off…” THOSE COUPONS ARE FAKE!! And so I said, no, you can't mark it up to the regular price then ($2.35) and then use two dollars off? “NO!” Ugh….the best part was she said “you can use that at another store, but not here!” And I just wanted to laugh and say “I think I know about fake doritos, pepsi, and duracell coupons that say FREE … this doesn't!”

Of course I'll be emailing, I almost NEVER complain, but they were acting like since I'm so young and have a coupon, i must have created it on ….THE INTERNET!

The funny thing is, standing in line for so long I was looking at the bottle and it only contained 20% juice, and had lots of sugar! I realized that's how they sell it so much cheaper…Lucky for me I went to another kind of store and found it for $3 and used my coupon without question and happily paid $1 for 100% juice and no sugar. Much better deal.

      • Brooke

Wow, that is so interesting with the juice. Quite baffling. I had no idea there was anything like that. And boo!! to your Family Dollar.

      • camp

good for you for reading the label and seeing all the sugar! as a new comer to coupons, i have recently noticed that it's sometimes easy to get sucked into buying a bunch of unhealthy processed food just because it's cheapy or free.

    • Jbush27

I never really shop at Wags, but my husband has hearing aids and the Rayovac hearing aid batteries is a good deal. Jenny doesn't have it listed but about a month ago there was a $3 off Rayovac hearing aid battery coupon in the ACJ, don't remember if it was SS or RP. This is a great deal for us.

fyi, i tried to buy the proglide razor with the $5 RR from luster toothpaste last week and my $5 RR for the proglide didn't print. anyone have success with this?
the manager said you can't use RR to print an RR (which i know is wrong because i've done it). i didn't have the energy this morning to argue so i just got refunded.

      • Stacy

It could have been because the luster toothpaste and the razor are made by the same company (not sure). I have seen this happen in the past. If you use RR from lets say P&G to buy a P&G item that has a RR attached in the same week it may not print the RR on the second item.

        • camp

i know the proglide is a P&G product, but the luster toothpaste doesn't seem to have the P&G logo on the back.

          • avenlee

Not sure what happened camp. It could have been a simple as the catalina machine wasn't working or out of paper. Just an FYI, the razor RR is rolling. Meaning you can use the RR you receive and use it to purchase another razor =)

      • avenlee

What did your transaction look like? Did you use the coupon with the RR and only bought the one razor?

        • camp

i bought one razor proglide power and one 99 cent hallmark greeting card. i gave her the $4 off coupon and that scanned fine and then she told me total and i paid with the RR and then cash for the remaining balance and no rr printed. they said you can't get rr's if you use rr's (which i have done several times and that exact same store). the manager was giving me crazy eyes, so i didn't bother arguing. i'm a very mellow person, but something about going to walgreens always gets me in a bad mood. is crankiness contagious? :)

          • Jessica S

I feel the same way. I love the deals you can get here but everytime I walk in the door I can feel my blood pressure rising. They make way to hard and the cashier at my Wags always acts like I am trying to get away with something bad when she sees my stack of Qs. What is their problem? It is not like they will not make any money from my transaction just because I pay next to nothing!

      • Susan

I went this morning and it worked just fine for me……….I'm in Louisiana

        • camp

did you use the $4 coupon and the $5 rr from last weeks luster toothpaste? if so, is there a trick the the order or something? what was your filler item?

          • Susan

Yes, I used both the $4 dollar coupon and the $5 RR from the Luster toothpaste from last week. I did not follow the same scenarios as jenny. I purchased two raisin bran crunch, 3 tuf paper towels, 1 proglide, 5 @ 39cent candy, 1 duracell 8 pack and one fixodent. I had the 5 dollar RR, 3 @ 2.50 RR, 2@ 4 dollar man. q's and 2@1 dollar man q's. My total out of pocket was 8.39 and I got back $5 RR from the proglide, $2 RR from the cereal and $1 RR from the fixodent. So I only ended up spending .39 cents after tax for all of that!

      • gingerinCA

I've had this happen to me enough times that I now believe there are some stores where you can't use a RR in the same dollar amount as the RR you're supposed to get. I know there's no formal policy to this effect, but my experience at one particular Wags tells me otherwise. At this store, it doesn't matter if the Q is from a different manufacturer, I can't pay with a 3RR and get back a 3RR. BUT, I can pay with a 2RR and get back the 3RR. If I were you, I'd try the deal with a different dollar amount of RR as payment, and see what happens. If you get the RR, you'll know for the future. It's just one more level of annoyance with what you can and can't do at Wags, but you can work around it if you want to. HTH.

        • camp

thanks for the tip. i will try using a $2 rr i need to burn before sunday.

          • gingerinCA

I’d love to know how it works out for you. Good luck!

        • jan

WHY is WAGs so much more difficult to deal with than CVS? I'm just learning about which stores take RRs. I might start taking them up on it! LOL (Like, one Dollar General store here accepts RRs. Why, I'm not sure, but why question a good thing!)

    • avenlee

When looking at the Gillette BOGO BW, I noticed that they are coded '14'. I believe this makes them attach to the two products and therefore, wouldn't allow you to use the 4.00/2 coupon. Am I missing something?

    • dseale

Just got back from Walgreens and bought the 3 John Freida and the $5.00 bucks did not print. Cashier was wonderful and said sometimes they don't print if you get the “add'l 33%” sizes for the same price as regular. She tried to make it work many ways, but couldn't so she just ran it through as a credit and gave me $5.00 from her register. YAY-that works

      • quarleywoman

Mine was not as nice. I got the 3- add'l 33% size and was told by the cashier that they were not printing ahd I had to send in my register receipt and they gave me a form to fill out and my RR will be mailed. Couldn't use it today so that kind of messed up the works. They didn't have but 2 of the Gillett Body Washes and there were two of us Southern Savers followers there at the same time. I had my coupons so was able to switch to the deo. and get the deal using 2-$4/2 and 2-BOGO so that worked out and I got the $10 RR but then on the razor I didn't have the $5 RR to take off so was out more out of pocket but all in all it will come out in the wash(hehe) when I get the one back that I mailed in for. Just have to wait for my money. Also was able to pick up the Stayfree liners (free) that I got the cat for when I bought the Kotex U liners last week. All in all not bad.

    • j62white

What is the “home made simple” booklet? where did it come from? also, when jenny refers to tearpads, are they supposed to be in the store near the products? I never seem to find them or the pullies at my publix.

      • camp

i usually find all the tearpads she mentions at either winn dixie or publix.

      • GamecockShan

I think the Home Made Simple booklet was an internet promotion that we signed up for a few weeks back… I got mine in the mail last week

      • Carrie

Google “home made simple” or search it on this site and you should be able to find the link for the booklet. Just fill out your info and you'll receive it in a few weeks.

    • Susan

Just an FYI, my wags had the swiffer refills on sale for $4.11 and did NOT ring up $5.49. So when I did my transaction, I did not realize it until after when it did not print out my RR. So for my second, I had to go back and get two more (total of 4 in one transaction) in order for it to print AND so that I could meet the $20 dollar requirement for the mail in rebate!

      • camp

they need to get with the times and have a price checker in the store like cvs.

Can I use ECB's from other items on the swiffer refill deal? For example, I have an $8 RR from the last time I was there. Can I use that on the swiffer transaction?

      Thanks in advance!

      • Rebecca

        I meant RR's! :)

    • Renee

I am so mad at myself. I threw away a swiffer receipt and I just bought the stuff today. I have looked through 3 garbage bags and haven't found it. Can I take the stuff back to walgreens without a receipt and get more so I can mail in the rebate?

      • ixoye

If you know exactly when you went (date and approx. time), they have been known to run another receipt. I know for sure they can do that if you used a debit/credit card. Cash or check? IDK.

        • jen

I've seen that, too! There was some confusion about a receipt, after the fact, so he went to the manager. The mgr went to the back and looked online at the transaction. So it is definitely possible.

Ok… I am a newbie to Walgreens and I messed up my plan earlier and I hope some of you can help me fix it! I went in and got the 3 Gilette Deos and 3 Body Washes, to get the $10RR. Well, I decided to do the Old Spice deal too (4 Body Wash, 2 Deos) as well as get the Fusion razor. I had a brain fart (and didn’t realize it until I got home) and forgot that I couldn’t use the $10RR from Gilette on the Old Spice deal, so I didn’t get the 2nd $10RR. So, now I have Old Spice products that weren’t a very good deal, and I’m bummed. Does Walgreens accept returns? Would I have to forefit my coupons if I return it? Could I return everything and start over (would they still give me the credit for those coupons?) and do the Gillette deal, get the $10RR, then use that reward to buy the razor (and something else for $4), and then do the Old Spice deal so then I’d have $20RR left? Any suggestions? Thanks in advance for your help!!

      • kelley

        EB
I don't think you can but it can't hurt to ask. I have messed up a purchase before while using coupons and they told me they could not give them back. You could return the stuff to get your money back but then you have lost your qs:(

        • jen

Best thing to do is just give the MANAGER a call and explain as simply as possible. Good chance s/he'll tell you to come back up and s/he'll help you!

          • LausDeo

I returned some items Sunday that I had made a mistake on. They didn't ask any questions. They gave me the full value of the items and I even gave them the reciepts. I was going to explain but they didn't ask. From everything I have read it is fair to get back full price as long as you are not profiting from it. You figure if you paid $4. for an item and used a $2.00 coupon, you paid $2. so when they give you a refund they give you the $4. back because they cannot give you the coupon back. And they get reimbursed for the coupon from the manuf. In most cases if there is confusion just ask for the manager and be honest with them. They are usually more than happy to help. You can even tell them you used a coupon and did not pay full price. If nothing else they should give u store credit for the coupons.

      • justCaprice

        Coupons are definitely forfeited

      • Ashley

That's not true. I return my stuff anytime I make a mistake. They HAVE to give you the value of the q's. They are treated as cash, therefore they cannot refuse to return that value because they would be gaining a profit from when the manufacturer pays them. The q is yours, therefore it's value is yours!

      • jen

You might get lucky to try to appeal talking to the manager. This is a very common mistake. If not, you could consider taking it all back and either (1) hoping it's available later in the week (find out WHEN the truck typically comes in), or (2) if there's another store nearby, find out if they have those items, and ask to hold them while you drive up there.

      • Tia

If you return the product, you are suppose to return the coupon, otherwise you would be unjustly (couldnt think of a better word

          *unjustly enriched

      • me

I have this happen once in a while as the cashier & I start talking. I have just explained to the manager & they just do a return on those specific items for the full price & then ring them again at full price & I then get my RR.They do not give me money. It is simple as long as they know what they are doing.Even if you returned it you get full price as they got your coupons so if you rebought it at full price it works out the same.I try to always have them fix it there, as in our area there are problems with cust. actually doing this to make $ because they get back full value. kinda ruins it for the ones like us that are so excited over the deals we get a little confused(LOL)

      • christal

When you return products to walgreens that you have used a mfr coupon on, we give back the original amount of the product. If your body wash is $4.99 & you have a $2 cpn, you pay $2.99 plus tax. If you decide to return it, you will get $4.99 plus tax. We are being reimbursed for the cpn, so there is no reason for us not to give you the monet back. If the coupon is a walgreens coupon, we will give you the amount paid. Not the original price before the cpn.

      • EB

I feel so much better after seeing all of the comments, thank you for the help! I'm going to try and return everything tomorrow, will let you know how it goes!!

there is a $1/1 blue diamond q at http://www.earthfare.com/HealthySavings/coupons which should make the almonds super cheap!

      • angelb

Question: I used these coupons yesterday and they worked fine. The only question I had is the cashier told me that since they were BOGO I couldn't use 2 coupons since I was only buying 1??? He did end up taking them both though for me.Our Wags is pretty good. What is the rule about this?

    • jamie

Could someone tell me the cheapest filler item they've found to use? Gum seems to be over $1. Best I've gotten is something for 50 cents. Was wondering if they typically have something cheaper, and I've simply missed seeing it?

      • Mary

Usually at the registers there will be a basket of caramels for $.33. Also, this week they have their W candies on sale for $.39.

        • Amy

Since you need an in-ad coupon to get the candy for $.39, won't you still need another filler item that doesn't use a coupon?

          • Natalie559

No- WAGs in ad coupons do not count towards your coupon total

      • TinaSC

You can buy holiday pencils or the “suggestive” items at the counter (they will usually have these as donation items).

Knee high stockings are 4 for a dollar this week.

    • GamecockShan

Ok – I have a question and need your help understanding what happened here. I went in to buy the Kotex U tampons for $3.49 on Saturday morning. I used a $1 printable and paid the difference OOP, and received my $2.50 RR. Then later that afternoon, I went to another store and bought another box and used the RR + cash to pay for them, but I did not receive my $2.50 RR this time. Is this because I cannot use the RR from the same deal on the same item in a separate transaction? I had my nephew also buy a box and use another $2.50 RR from another box and it didn't print out new RR for him either. I thought I read in the Walgreen's FAQ that I COULD do this and get additionl RR???

Please help me understand why I did not get the additional

      • Mary

Right, you cannot use a RR from one deal on another transaction of the same deal or you will not get another RR.

      • cynthia

you can use RR but it needs to be from a different manufacturer. kotex for kotex won't work.

      • christal

I work at walgreens..maybe I can help you. If you get a reward from kotex and you use it to pay for another kotex (even in a different tran) you will not get another reward. The manufacturers set it up this way.

        • RushNSaver

Hello Christal. What is the policy on accepting coupons? my walgreens seem to change them a lot and they get so frustrated with us couponers. I try not to be pain, i try to save just like everyone else, but i am looked at as if I am stealing. Thank you!

          • Christal

Hi! The typical way most stores do is they take both store & mfr coupons. I learned not ago, before I started getting into the whole coupon thing not to try to be the coupon police. My store manager has told us “if it scans…take it”. We get reimbursed anyways. Alot of cashiers get frustrated because they don't understand the process. They feel taken as if the system is being taken advantage of, when it's not. If you go in with a “transaction plan” it'll be smoother.

    • Lori

If you are using bogo for gillette body wash, use $4 off 2 coupons first, then the BOGo's, worked that way for me:)

    • Leigh

I want to do what is best so please help me understand – The Swiffer rebate indicates that you must spend $20 for your $10 rebate. The rebate does not indicate specifically that the $20 needs to be in the same transaction so is it safe to say that I can do 2 separate transactions and submit both receipts?

    • nancycrom

There is a walgreens booklet in the vitamin aisle, called “vitamins & supplements Q & A”. It has walgreens Nature Made q's in it (and other brands too) that you can stack with the mfr. qs. I used these with the B1G1 sale and the mfr q to get melatonin (reg. 8.29 ea.) for 2.15 ea.

    • NIna

Does anyone know what the zip is for the Rimmel coupon?

    • Eran

I am new to couponing and have just gotten my grocery shopping down but with 5 children my real savings will come from toiletries I think. Does anyone have a preference over the CVS vs. Walgreens deals?

      • Emily

I definitely prefer CVS! I feel like I get better and easier deals, and their Extra Care Dollars roll easier and don't expire as quickly as the Walgreens Register Rewards.

      • Susan

I agree with Emily. I shop both, but try to get the majority of my deals at CVS. They don't have as many rules to follow as Wags and makes shopping so much easier!

      • ADJ

I am pretty new myself, and I have already found that CVS is much more deal-friendly. It seems like I never get as good of a deal as I think when I come out of Walgreens because there was some weird rule or order that I didn't follow correctly. I am thinking Walgreens might not be worth my time every week.

        • Princessfreestuff

It's not. Stick to CVS. I had a bad experience today at Walgreens and I am not going to chase deal there again. The cashier tried to tell me that I couldn't use the bogo and the $4/2 q's for the body wash. She and the “manager” both agreed and wouldn't take them. I told them to keep their stuff.

          • becky

I had this same problem yesterday in Mt Juliet TN. The problem with my transaction was I tried to buy 6 body wash, I used 3 bogo and 3 $4/2 q's. The register let me do those coupons, but when I tried to use my rr from previous transaction it wouldn't do it even after adding a filler item for the rr. So when she called the manager up there because it wouldn't work he said I couldn't do that and I said thats fine I just wont use the rr and he still said no because it was basically giving me $8. That I could only use 1 $4/2 coupon, I also had to leave a cart full of stuff that I told them I wouldn't be getting because that was my big rr I was suppose to get back. It was really frustrating and time consuming.

            • Georgiadolly

Similar thing just happened to me in Warner Robins, GA…I wanted to just buy 6 body wash and use 3 bogo (I wasn't even going to try and use the $4/2 q) and the manager basically told me that it wasn't fair for me to get the deal. I now remember why it has been so long since I set foot in Walgreens.

      • zombiemommy

CVS, is easier to navigate. I always end up paying more out of pocket with all the fillers and doing way too many transactions to roll the bucks at Walgreens.

CVS, I plan my one transaction and go home happy..

    • Sarah

Has Walgreens changed their policy for Ready Rewards? On my last two trips to Walgreens I was told not to use Ready Rewards to pay for an item that I will receive Ready Rewards on, even though they were different items than the ones that I received the Rewards for.

      • Sarah H.

I don't know. I'll see what my Walgreens says during my trip this week and let you know if I hear the same. I really hope that isn't the case!

      • RushNSaver

Mine said something to that respect also and they said that it is not fair to get free items and roll RR. I told them that they were getting face value of the RR plus 8 or 10 cents depending on the manufacturer. The policy is ever changing. One day it works, the other doesn't

      • lisa

Happened to me yesterday. Bought two boxes of the Kashi cereal 2/$5 and i had some bagged candy also as fillers. I wanted to use two RR from last week (different company so I knew it was OK) and it didn't print the RR. The very rude lady told me first that the dollar amount of the product has to be more than the RR – which is was since I had some fillers. then she said using ANY RR to pay for the purchase will NOT generate another RR. Uh WOW !!! if that's the case then they are going to lose alot of customers. what the point of getting the RR if you can't use them on other things that generate RR's ?

    • Sarah

In regards to the Swiffer rebate, I have a coupon for $2.00 off a Swiffer refill. If I use the coupon, my total will not be over $20.00, so can I still submit for the rebate?
      Thanks!

    • kristifromchelsea

I am a faithful Publix customer but have never couponed at Walgreens. I am thinking about trying it. If there is an item in there ad for a certain price with an in-ad coupon, can I then use a manufacturer coupon to?

For instance, the dawn dish liquid at $.99 with in-ad coupon and then my $1.00 off manufacturer coupon, making it free?

I noticed above on the aspirin she mentioned presenting the coupons in a certain order. I can see in some cases why that might matter but in the aspirin scenario it seems like either way it would come out the same. Is there something I am missing?

      • Melissa

If your WAGS will not give you a hard time about the order you give your coupons, then you want to use the in-ad ones last so that the manu coupon does not beep. My local WAGS will not let me do that, so I don't even bother anymore!

      • Marina115

unfortunately, you have to have the same number of items as coupons. If you have an in-ad coupon and a manuQ then you have to have 2 items. You could get a small filler item for .25 or something. Jenny usually has a list of filler items at the bottom that are pretty cheap.

        • Jen

The in-ad coupons don't count into your item to coupon ratio. You can use a manufacturers coupon and in-ad coupon on one item just fine. It is best to give the man. coupons first and then the wags coupons because the wags coupons really just lower the price, and if that price is lower than the man. coupon you have, the register won't take the man. coupon after the wags coupon. Hope that makes sense!

          • Marina115

My store in canton makes me have 2 items even though I've tried to explain it to them. I've found that it's no use arguing with them.

    • Stephanie in Bham

I need to return an item that I used several RR rewards to reduce the total. How will I get reimbursed? Thanks in advance

      • Erin

Simply make your return. I have been given cash, but I suppose they might would give a gift card.

      • akelly

A few months ago I tried rolling the Dove Shampoo RR to another Dove Shampoo. Didn't work. Decided I didn't want to pay that much for the shampoo and tried returning it to another store. That store said they couldn't give me a refund (I gave her my receipt for the shampoo). She said I'd have to go back to the original store so they could hand me my original RR. Goofy, huh? Surely they couldn't have everyone do that every time, ya think?? Hope your return works better.

    • Serena

The Hampton Roads Walgreens said they changed their policy- they will not take printed internet coupons anymore.

    • Melissa

Is the Neutrogena deal still running? I am thinking that it was a month long thing? Anyone have luck doing it again since Sunday?

      • kellisc

Worked for me today! :-) I think it is a month long deal.

      • ivegotcutekids

Worked for me today, too. Tags still on shelf.

    • AMalone

Anyone else haveing problems with Walgreens? I just made my last visit there…I had $26.00 worth of stuff that was all on sale. I had $10.25 cents in manufacturer coupons and $10.00 in Register Rewards. After she applied my coupons-I owed $15.00 and then she told me that I couldn't use my register rewards which expired today. I know you can combine everything at CVS so it looks like I'm going to have to shop exclusively there….Has anyone else had this problem. I don't see where they can turn down register rewards when they are basically like cash?!!!!

      • RushNSaver

If you had more coupons than items they would not take the RR (which is considered as manufacturer coupon). I am sorry it happened to you. I love CVS better in that respect also. I do still go to Walgreens because they have different freebies at times. It did take me about 2-3 months to understand what the policy is, which is really always changing, so who know what it will be tomorrow. Good luck though!

        • AMalone

Thanks for the information…So if I would have included 2 filler items-I could have used my $8 and $2 register rewards along with my other coupons? I really wished my cashier would have given me an explanation-I think I'm going to have to stick to CVS.

          • gingerinCA

That's right. Sometimes the cashiers don't quite understand how it works, either.

    • Jim

Do not buy the 30% more John Freida products if you want the $5 register reward to print out! The lady all Walgreens argued with me that sometimes they just won't print, but it was because of the larger bottles. She would not give me my RR! I learned the hard way, even though the sticker under the larger bottles say they are included!!!!!!

      • gingerinCA

That's false advertising, and probably illegal. Call department of weights and measures, who are in charge of making sure retail items ring up the way they're adverised.

      • june

When I see odd things in the stores, I always take a pic with my phone. That way they can not run back and grab the tag off of the shelf. I had problems years ago with Target doing that. If you've got the pic, you've got them dead to rights for false advertising if they do not honor the deal. But, I bet it was just a badly trained employee.

ginger, thanks for the heads up on who is ultimately in charge of these matters.

        • gingerinCA

NP. Out here the dept of weights and measures has a website with all the info you would need. Once I printed the page and took it with. If you call them, they have a really short time period where they have to investigate the complaint. It's like 24 hours, or maybe it was 48? regardless, It's short. If stores get caught charging more than the advertising says, they get hit with a WHOPPER of a fine. I don't know if that would apply to RRs- maybe I should call and find out. I know I mentioned weights and measures to a store manager once, and he changed his tune pretty fast. They think the consumers don't know, so they can get away with stuff.

      • me

Usually when it says 25% or 30% more it also says Bonus or Free. It is not a new size they are going to start making. I have lucked out on a few times & they will rering it with a regular size or just have a manager print my RR. C.V.S same thing. But only at my regular stores. It really should be included as most of the time there are just a few bottles with the others & nobody put the UPC in the computer.Itjust depends on the attitude of the cashier or manager.Doesn't seem fair. The taking of the pics idea was a great one.

    • Ronda

Heads up – I received a coupon for a free Always Product.

Has anyone else gotten the coupon?

      • Tonya

I got one too. I was wondering if they would let me use it with the B1G1 50% off this week. I haven't been to W. much with coupons.

      • Tobys_Mom

        I got 2 of them!

    • John Sutton

I just bought the fusion deal and I am not finding the $5.00 coupon inside the product. Any help???

      • barbara

        i bought the fusion @ cvs-no coupon

      • Sheila

I bought a fusion from CVS and one from Wags, both have a Gillette Fusion ProGlide $5 Prepaid cash card offer inside–no Q. One must take the survey and then the prepaid card will be mail out. This deal is not in every package, look between the razor and back cover on the inside of the packaging before buying and you will see an extra insert—you may have to look through 5 or 6 before you find one with the insert.

        • ivegotcutekids

I took the survey and after I answered the first couple of questions, it said my responses weren't needed because they had met their quota of people with my background. I think that the only questions I had answered were that I was a female and that I had purchased the razor at CVS. Bummer.

    • Tonya

does anyone know the zip used for the $2 off Jergens Natural Glow? I've tried 29681 and 90210 but didn't see it.

i went to a wg in my area to buy cologate toothpase i give the cashier 2 $1 man. copon for 2 the cashir say that the machine only takiny one so she call the mani. and i ask him why it only taking one. He was so rude this is what he says that u copon people come to the store in groups and take everything.so i ask him if he see me here with anyone else and that i dont know what he was talking about.I was at the store by my self.and he keep saying the same thing over and over.i feel target and will never go there again.

    • Kim

There is an Always deal this week; Buy One get 1/2 off the second. The price is $4.39 each. So you can get one at $4.39 and one at $2.20 (1/2 off). So, I have two coupons from last week's Kotex to get Always pads up to $3.50.

I went and bought two Always pads using two of these coupons. My thinking is that I will get $3.50 off the first one and free the second one. So, I would pay around $1+tax for 2 Always using this sale and 2 coupons. But the computer won't take it and the cashier won't push it thru. Does anyone know why? I end up not buying any.

      Thanks,
      Kim

      • 3monkeysmom

I had the same problem….the coupon I have is for FREE liners, up to $3.50. Regular price at my Wags is $3.79…so I thought I would just have to pay the 29 CENT difference. Same thing, it wouldn't scan and they wouldn't push it through :-(

        • I didn't end up getting any either because of the price difference, but the first time I did this catalina it did work. It's like they raised the prices or something.

    • Callie

Just FYI….I just went to Walgreens to purchase the Swifers and actually ended up with a better deal; they rang up 4.11 each.
I was able to get the Swifer (on sale for 8.99) and 4 refills for around $7-$8(I used 4.50RR from last week, $1 off swifer, 4 $.50 qs, and will mail in my $10 rebate)

      • 3monkeysmom

Just a heads up…the rebate is only for the refills. If you only bought 4 refills, then you might need to go back for one more. 4 x $4.11 is only $16.44.
I forgot that it was just for the refills and I bought a duster kit, which won't qualify….
I got an extra refill at Target using a giftcard so I didn't have to come any more out of pocket.

        • Callie

          thank you! makes sense…….

          • 3monkeysmom

No problem :-) Didn't want you to send it off and then get a rejection letter…that would stink!!

      • Jennifer

FYI… Make SURE you have $20 IN REFILLS!! I was denied last time because I bought one Swiffer Duster instead of just the refills. Your “SWIFFER” will not count as a refill!

    • Ben

FYI The Ziploc bags would qualify for the buy 3 get a $5 rebate from SC Johnson, making them free after rebate and coupon. Limit 3 $5 rebates per household, purchased by 6/30. Print form here: http://www.scjohnson.com/Files/afc-rebate-form.pdf.

    • Susan

Just wondering if anyone else has run into this…just bought 3 Febreze items and used 3 manu Qs then tried to use my 2 RRs and was told I had to purchase two more filler items in order to use them??? I did it, but this is completely different from how CVS does it (I'm new to using the Walgreens deals, and may not even bother now) Any comments?

      • nikki

you have to have small filler items..one item per coupon/RR they have super cheap pencils, or random things on sale.

        • Matt

i ran into the same thing.. RR are actually manufacturers coupons, not store coupons… so, you have to have an item for each coupon, they won't stack like cvs ecb's

          • Susan

Guess I'll have to be careful at Wags…CVS still my fav but I must admit, the Neutrogena deal a week ago or so was KILLER! Thanks, all, for your hints and advice. LOVE THIS SITE!

      • me

This is how Wags works. It can be a pain sometimes. Yesterday I used tuf paper towels $.69 & Knee hi,s @$.25 as fillers. You had to use an in ad coupon to get at that price. But then you can use RR( as in ad Q,s) do not count. They usually have items such as toilet paper, candy, alum. foil, jello, etc. from $.25-$.69 each.I have found at C.V.S alot of times they will have $5 Bucks back when you buy $15.00 worth of a specific item & the item is $4.99 each which ends up making you purchase 4 items.Wags ocasionally this too will happen but seems to be more so at C.V.S.Don,t get discouraged as they have some great deals at Wags & usually the fillers are something you can use.Hope this helps.

    • KashLea1

Just wanted to share that the BIC Soleil Bella worked in conjuction with the $3/1 Q & Wags In-ad Q. The MF Q didn't have this type on the Q, but my cashier said to try it & it worked. I got for .49 cents. And also got the Bengay for FREE. My cashier just rounded the price up to $5 so the register wouldn't beep.

    • Deshaine

If you are in Birmingham you need to read this!!

I have to say, I was scared… but I did it, I bit the bullet and I went to Walgreens for my first “trip.” I was encouraged to go by my friend because her husband likes these certain razors that are on sale and I was planning to forgo the deal because of all the complaints I’ve read online and heard about from local couponers.

But I must say… I. HAD. THE. BEST. EXPERIENCE!! EVER!!! And considering I had not tried to “make a deal” at Walgreens prior to today, might not be saying too much, but nonetheless… I AM HAPPY!! WOOHOO!!!

The Cosmetics Associate cashier, Jan, was EXCEPTIONALLY nice. She did a couple of price checks for us and then helped with our transactions—we each did three transactions: razor, John Frieda, razor. The RR didn’t print on the John Frieda products so she offered to void the entire sale and start again. (I know!! Can you believe it!!?!?!)

In the mean time, the manager, Marie, was on her way over to assist. When she arrived she tried to explain to us why the RR didn’t print, and we told her ALL the horror stories we have read online about how everyone else’s experiences went. She apologized, vehemently, for you all. The end result: the “30% more free” John Frieda shampoo and conditioners were not “in the sale” even though the tags were underneath those and NOT the regular sized bottles. The Manager, Marie, let us buy the 30% more bottles AND get the RR!!!

We are STOKED! In addition to all of this, we each got a goodie bag of samples, trial sizes and CANDY from Jan!! THANKS JAN!!!

We are DEFINITELY loving WAGs today!!

      • ivegotcutekids

I had that experience with containers that say “% free” at Toys R Us. Wanted to buy some formula that was on sale for buy one, get one 1/2 off, and they did not include the cans that had 30% more free. Wouldn't that mean that it wasn't really free? I'm glad your Walgreens included it…Toys R Us wouldn't.

The Fusion razor 9.89, $4 off in sunday paper, get $5 back makes it .89 LOVE IT!!!

Question- Forgive me if this is asked all the time but I read through all the info on this site and couldn't find the answer. When the deal is contingent on buying a certain amount of product, like say 5RR for buying $15 worth. Is the $15 before or after coupons?

It's before q's. That's what makes it so nice! Just make sure it's not $14.98 or something silly. That will cause the catalina to not print. hth!

It should be before coupons. If you read the post from sealey5 above yours she had a bit of a problem but the manager fixed it. I haven't had issues at CVS but I have had some trouble having my coupons accepted at my local wags. Happy Hunting!

I had a very productive day today at Wags! Here's what I picked up :

      2 Metamucil $5 each
2 Chocolate Lucky Charms Cereal $2 each
      5 Slim Jim $2 each
      5 Johnson's Baby Bubble Bath $2 each
2 Nivea for Men Shower Gel $2 each
5 Dial for Men Shower Gel $2 each
I had q's for all of these items! Then I got the 6 Gillette body wash for men. Had a difficult time trying to tell them that I was supposed to get RR on these. One of the workers said I wouldn't get them until I spent $25 AFTER q's, and I tried to nicely tell her that wasn't the case. So I got to the register, where another lady did my transactions and after the discounted items and q's I only paid $31.61! I saved $67.20! However, my RR's didn't print out, so the manager had to fix it. He seemed a little put out but he'll get over it. I did finally get the RR's. That was the whole point for me getting the Gillette B/W. Oh well, didn't do too shabby!!! :) Sorry if this post is so long, lol!

Not seeing the -$1/4 Van Camp’s Beans June All You in the mag

It's only in the store magazine, not the subscription.

      • Bhflood

It's found in an 'insert' in the center of the magazine. I bought mine from Walmart. I read elsewhere someone with a subscription did not receive the insert. When she contacted All You they said they would be sure her future issues would include inserts. Not sure if they were mailing her an insert or not.

On the printable $2.50 John Frieda Coupon it says “Limit one per customer' Does this mean that you can only use one in a transaction?

      • Gamecockshan

I used this coupon last night at Walgreen's but I also used 2 $2 off coupons from the Sunday paper. So I assume this means that in one trip, you can only use one $2.50 printable no matter how many transactions you make.

I am sorry if this ends up being a silly question, but…….
At Walgreens, on the Gillette deal idea, how can we use $4 off 2 coupon with the 3 B1G1 free for 6 items. Wouldn't we need 8 items to use the $4 off 2 coupon also?
      Thank you!!

I just experienced the Walgreens saga everyone describs. I had a coupon printed from somewhere that said “Manufacturer” coupon although it had a target symbol to the right. The cashier and manager argued w/me telling me it was a Target coupon, not manufacturer coupon. I have Target coupons that say Target coupons – this one did not. I thought all manufacturer coupons were just that – manufacturer coupon. Who was right? I'd like to know.
