hummm, i went to wags today and when my rr printed off it said Walgreens Dollars and had limit one walgreens dollar per transaction… This is going to be very disturbing for me, especially with all of these $1, 2 & 3 rr. Grr, I really think I hate Walgreens.

      • Jenny

        Leah,

Did they have a normal bar code at the bottom?

    • Toby L

With the Off Clip on deal, would it be possible to use multiple coupons such as the B1G1 Clip on and then on the “other/free” one the $2 coupon and then the free refill kit also?

      From above:
$3 RR wyb Off! Clip on mosquito protection at $9.99
-$2 off Off! Clip-on Mosquito Repellent Starter, SS 5/17

    • Jenny

      Toby,

You are right we could use all three. I didn’t think that one out when I was typing!!

    • Leah

Jenny, They do have a barcode but not a normal one. At the top of this one it says Store Coupon – Expires 06-26-09, Save $5 off your next shopping order over the value of coupon. See detail at right. Thank you for your purchase. *Limit 1 Walgreens Dollars Coupon redeemed per transaction. To the left of that it says Walgreens Dollars*
These are the details at the right are exactly the same as before.

      • Jenny

        Leah,

It sounds like you have stumbled upon rewards cash of another kind. They usually only give these out during the holiday’s but this is not really a RR and more like an ECB. You can use it on a purchase of other items and should not need a filler item!!

    • Amber

Will you guys share some strategic filler items with me – there has to be something in that store for under 50 cents but I can’t find it. I’ve just started shopping Walgreens so haven’t gotten that familiar with them yet. I do see some items in the flyer like water for .69 cents but do I have to use the coupon to get that price and then it no longer is a filler item right or wrong?

      Thanks for the input!

      • Jenny

        Amber,

Any items that you use a store coupon on but not a manufacturer coupon still count as filler items. I don’t remember whose idea it was but a comment a few weeks ago was to go send one photo to the photo lab and use that as your filler at .17 cents. My store has single caramels at checkout that are .05 cents. Also look for clearance candy and other small items like that.

For the $10 RR you do have to get your purchase to be $10 or more to be able to use it.

    • Amber

Another question – I have some $10 RR – does my purchase have to be at least $10.00 to use it?

    • joei

      Amber,

There are caramel candy by the register .33 I don’t like these so I never use them. They have truffles for .39 or single pack tissues for .29 . They are all by the register :)

    • Amanda

      Amber,
They also have Royal pudding that is 3/$1.00. I use those a lot for fillers.

    • Amber

Thanks a bunch Jenny for the info. I am excited about going to the store tomorrow. If it wasn’t late I’d jump in my car and go right now. I have $22.00 in RR burning a hole in my pocket (and also about to expire.)Anyway, that was from my first Walgreens experience. Can you say hooked? :-)

    • Amber

Thanks everyone else too. I knew there had to be those type items in there I just couldn’t find any. Now I know which direction to go in.

    • shannon

My Walgreens does not allow you to use more coupons than items purchased and they count the RR as a coupon. So what are some ideas for filler items that I could use in order for them to scan my RR.

    • Angie

      Amber
My wags doesn’t have any single candy under .50 (none that I can find). About a month ago I found a box of Easter pencils on clearance for .05 a piece. I use these for my filler items or the .29 small tissue pack. At my wags the small tissue pack is back by the regular tissue.

    • Amber

Ok ladies, I am working on this deal and I don’t have the St. Ives coupon in my inserts (Atlanta) any ideas? I can’t find it active anywhere on the web either. I also already used my skippy coupons but will just double up on the Ragu unless someone knows where more skippy coupons are.;-)
P.S. Thanks Angie for telling me that – I have looked all over at my Wags for those kind of things and couldn’t believe I was missing it. I am all over the tissues and puddings – great ideas, but I will keep searching for those caramels and clearance items!

    • Amber

Another question: does anyone have any idea of something helpful one could do with the free glucose monitors that are building up in my closet? I would like to find someone that could use them. I feel bad hoarding them.

    • Toni

Amber I give all my glucose meters to my church’s Food Pantry. They tell me they go real fast!

    • Sindy

Amber, check on the internet if your town does a free medical clinic on saturdays once a month and donate them there…

    • Amanda

      Amber,
Check out the school supply aisle. My WAGs has a bunch of folders, notebooks, rulers, etc for sale — some items as low as .25. They’ve been making good filler items for me, as we’ll need these things when school starts back in the fall anyway.

    • Renee

I went to Walgreens, purchased 2 Snuggle and 1 All (on sale for $4.49). The ad said “Purchase 3 of the products below and receive $5 in Register Rewards”. I used 2 $1off Snuggle and one $1 off All plus my $5.00 RR from last week. I didn’t receive my $5 RR!! The manager couldn’t give me an explanation and basically blew me off. I’ve used coupons in conjunction with RR and always received the RR at the end of the purchase. Anyone else have this issue? Makes me never want to go back there again.

    • angie b

      Amber,
I am a school nurse. We would love to have some of your free glucose meters for students who only have one and we have to send back and forth home each day. Would be great it they had one we kept at school…and one for emergency situations.

    • Kim

      Amber,
I am in ATL too. The coupon for St. Ives is in the AJC Smart Source from 5-10. It has the Sweet Baby Rays on the front. It is kind of in the middle right after the coupon for the oust and the one for similac. And its on the bottom left. Good Luck!

    • I can not get the b1g1 starter kit to come up. Anyone know where else I could get this? Also i have a two month old who seems to be so sweet that she gets ate up from bugs..think this would would work for her..or think that though it doesn’t touch her it might still be harmful?

    • Carol

Bad experince at Walgreens today in Lexington, SC. I purchased the Purex 3 in 1 and used a $1 off printable coupon. My RR did not print. The store manager said that RR won’t print if you use a coupon! Amyone else had this experience?

    • Amber

Thanks, Kim – I did find the St. Ives coupon – I think it was just late and my eyes were glazing over. Opened it up again and it was right there.!

    • B1G1 Off! Clip on Mosquito protection, printable is at it’s print limit -bummer!

    • lynn

for those who are here in the tanpa bay area the st pete times did not have the john fredia coupon bummer for us but if you know of any othe paper please lets us know thanks happy sunday couponing

    • Beverly

Offer the free glucose meters on Freecyce.org

    • Mary

      Amber.

This week you can get 3 of the reusable bags for 1.00 that’s a great filler. I also found bubble wrap for 1.00. Just look around the aisles. I know when you are in the store you are focused but take a deep breath and look at any tag that is orange…. I also tried the .50 miniature kleenex pack someone suggested that worked great too!!

This is a great deal if you have a 10.00 RR to blow and are in need of some soda…
      I bought

$2.99 RR wyb St Ives Body Wash at $2.99
-$1.50 off any St Ives Body Product, SS 5/10 (regional) (make $1.50 profit!)

$2.00 RR wyb 4/$11 12 Pack soda Dr. Pepper, 7 UP, Canada dry, sunkist, Hawaiian Punch
Eureka!! The peelie stealers had not been to my store yet!!
so There were 1.00 off Q’s on each 12 pack!

I had to have filler so I bought 1 bubble wrap and the 3/$1 reuseable WAGS bags!!

      Total was 1.70
      GOT BACK $5.00 in RR.

      Finally a great WAGS trip!

    • Kim

      Carol
Yes I have had that happen just return it and rebuy it then you will get your RR. It is supposed to print RR whether you use a coupon or not but if they wanna be stinkers thats one way around it. I had a bad experience myself at WGS this morning. Got up early for the Skippy and the St Ives. When I got to the register the .75 coupons I had for skippy wouldnt scan. The manager said I was only allowed to use one coupon per purchase and wanted to ring up all my skippys seperately. Well then of course if they did that the RR wouldnt print. I tried to explain to him what one per purchase meant but he just didnt get it so I left and want to my other WAGS where everything rang up perfectly though they did still have to put the coupons through manually! BTW the Purex 3 in 1 is 6.99 this week.

    • Sasha

At Walgreens, Organix shampoo and conditioner is buy one at 6.99 Get one free and on some of the bottles there is a try me free rebate so both would be free.

    • Kathleen

I just got back from my wags and the catalina machine wasn’t printing out anything.. this is sometimes an advantage! The person in front of me, who did not use any coupons, purchased 2 of the off clip on’s.. when the RR didn’t pop out, the manager took her to another register and gave her a refund for $6.00 (+ tax). Since the deal would have only given her one $3 RR , she made out pretty good.

Neither my St Ives or John Freida RR’s printed out, so I had to have the same manager “refund” my expected amount to my gift card. Since he “refunded” the price of the St Ives, I got the tax $ too. He said he thought that it is because of using so many mfq’s.. but it was just the machine, as they called someone while he was still dealing with me. When he saw that I used a q for the St Ives, he tried to say I wasted my q, since it is essentially free with the RR.. I explained that w/ the q it was better than free for $1.50! He then said, “oh, I see what you mean”… lol.

It can sometimes work out to your advantage if you can be patient and ask the manager to go to another register, so as to not tie up the main one. Have the ad to show the deal and do not take the using a q invalidates the offer excuse… it does not!

Lynn: I live on the east coast of FL and always buy the Orlando Sentinel, cause the FL Today insert is inferior.

Renee: if someone hasn’t answered you already: your description looks like you used more Q’s than items (2 snuggle w/2 q // 1 all w/1 all q and a rr = 4 q’s for 3 items, it shouldn’t have let you pay that way. What manufacturer was the RR from, if it was from the same deal that you did earlier: snuggle/all get $5 RR and you used this $5 RR to buy more snuggle/all, it will not print you a new RR. You cannot roll (usually) same manufacturer even on dif products.

These little “rules” make couponing a task sometimes, but when you get:
      St Ives
      3 John Freida products
      3 Walgreens bags
      2 3pack pencils on clearance for .10 !!

pay w/ $7 in RR’s that are expiring today and $1.79 and get back $8.48 on your Wags gift card… it is all worth it!
Thanks to help from Jenny and all the other great shoppers who post their suggestions at this site :)
      Kathleen

    • Laura

Anyone know if the Dr. Scholls deal includes the Custom Inserts that they sell at the kiosk. They are regularly like $50, but there is a $10 coupon and a $10 RR would make it a good deal for those who really need them

    • My favorite filler is the Ramen noodles .29 each. You can donate them if you can’t use them. My dh keeps a stash at his job. I hit the food aisles and the clearance section to find stuff for fillers (she’s right look for the orange stickers). I got family size Lipton Bags for .89 cents and even 10pks of La Croix water for .89 this month.

That is odd about RR not printing, were you trying to roll something (maybe ALL or Purex is owned by same company that your RR was from)? I messed up 2 weeks ago and rolled the wrong RR and lost my RR. I keep hearing that you can’t lose an RR because you used a coupon. But maybe I am mistaken, I think that Managers just say that because they are misinformed or they make it up.

    • lynn

the wags here in npr florida had the school supplies on clearance so that is what i used for fillers pencils were 19 cents so i have a good start on the fall school supplies also i was told that on the st ives i could only buy per sale??

    • Kathleen

I left a comment earlier, but on my other computers (my hubby is a comp nut)it isn’t showing up.

Lynn, I live on the east coast, but buy the Orlando Sentinel cause the Fl Today inserts are not as good… I probably got the tip about buying a more metro paper here at SS :)

I found it took a few weeks and a few mistakes to get the routine of not using an rr from one manufacturer on one of their other products AND having the same number of items as Q’s. I am lucky that my Wags has $.10 3pack pencils in clearance… I have about 15 packs by now.

at my store today the rr were not printing, so I had to go to a different register w/ a manager who was very flustered about how they were not printing. He was very nice and apologetic about it and did not try to dismiss me.. he gave me $$ back on my gift card. I know it may be uncomfortable but if you are sure you should have gotten a rr, ask to speak w/ a manager. Once you do enough deals you know that simply using a coupon to reduce the cost does not disqualify the rr deal.

thanks Jenny and everyone else who gives great advice in these comments! I got the St Ives/JF shampoo/wags bags and $.10 pencils paid with $7 rr that were expiring today, all the applicable Q’s and $1.79 on my gc… got $8 back on my gc to replace the unprinted rr…
I felt bad for the manager at my store, he was so apologetic and I was “tickled pink” at the great deals that I JUST got at their store!

    • Amanda

      Lynn,
I think that the limit on the St. Ives is at the store’s/manager’s discretion. I was at WAGs earlier today where the cashiers were talking about a rude “coupon lady” who had just come in and bought 8 of the St. Ives — all they had of the oatmeal variety. She said that their particular store didn’t set a limit on it, but they were obviously not thrilled with the rude treatment and 8+ separate transactions they had just had to do. IMO that’s why some stores set the limit.

    • Amanda

      Sasha,
Just a FYI about the Organix shampoo — I’ve heard that many people have had lots of trouble with this rebate. If the rebate is a “bonus” for you, then go for it…..just don’t count on getting that $$ back.

    • Zandra

I got the Purex 3in1 and used a coupon. The RRs didn’t print. The manager said that it will not print if you use a manufacturer coupon. I guess its not this way everywhere. I’m in NC.

    • Kristie

Great day at walgreens today. Did the Dry Idea deal, the Scotts Toilet paper deal, the Hefty deal and found a few closeouts. I have a clerk who is my absolute favorite…there is a photo album that they keep behind the cosmetic counter with unused coupons in it and she always lets me look through it. There was also a basket full of Nivea body wash samples that she was trying to get rid of and they have 2 coupons with them.

Has anyone in the Atlanta area had trouble finding the John Frieda coupons in the SS 6/14/09 insert? (AJC) I may be getting loopy looking but I don’t see them. Help, lol.

    • lynn

i think every town has that blasted rude coupon lady…. makes it hard for me to shop wags kmart and publix….. she gets at least 40 papaers a week yes i said 40 takes all the peelies tear pads and any other coupon book she leaves little to none for others and if you dont beat her to the stores on a real good deal then forget it ….. iahave tried to go to the store to but a paper and been told that one woman came and bought them all…..gone to a store on the first day of a sale and been told one person came in and bought all of the sale item or items……..these people dont realize how hard they are making it on others the store people dont like it not because they dont want the salebut because the rude coupon lady leaves nothing for others……..i personaly dont mind a reasonable limit being set so all can enjoy the sale… please everyone lets remeber be kind to the cashiers ..and your fellow couponers…….

    • lynn

did any one get the coupon for the john fredia would just love to know who was able to get that deal tampa bay was not amanda i get the st pete time and this is the first time i didnt have a coupon that jenny said was gong to be there most good deal i can get so long as i beat the rude coupon lady to the deal……

    • Angela

I couldn’t seem to find the John Frieda coupons in our Raleigh NC paper….

    • Angi

      Jan

I cannot find the John Freida coupons either. I bought the early edition of the paper, I wonder if there were two SS inserts in the late edition. I am new to this and wasn’t sure if it mattered which edition of the paper I bought. Which one did you buy?

    • Angela

Goodness, I don’t know which edition….The first paper I looked at was out early morning paper that we have delivered at our house in Harnett County….I assume Early Edition?

Then I purchased one in Angier, and one in Fuquay after church….Maybe those were the Late edition? All inserts were the same…I have already trashed the papers…I am new to this too…

    • no coupons in the ajc for john freida that i could find. we just bought them, and they’re not the early edition. what a bummer.

    • Susie

no john frieda coupons in my paper either (post and courier) i am particularly disappointed as i bought 3 papers especially for the $3 john frieda coupons. any ideas where they can be found???

    • tonya

no john freida here in montgomery al…the montgomery advertiser.

    • Allison

Hi! This is my first time posting, and I enjoy the heck out of this website! I went to Wags today with my Dove coupons. The shelf tag said $2RR wyb 4 items. I thought it was supposed to be $4 RR wyb 2 items. This was at the Summerville, SC store. Anyone else have that issue?

    • tonya

with all the negative comments…i’m beginning to wonder if i want to mark walgreens off my shopping route for good. cvs, rite aid and publix are soooooo much easier to deal with. i would even say pleasant. i always feel sick to my stomach when walking in walgreens.

    • Allison

PS, what is (FF) and (IE) beside the printable coupon button? I didn’t see it under abbreviations…thanks!

      • Jenny

The FF and IE are to help you decide what link to pick. Based on your internet browser the link is different so those are the links for internet explorer (IE) or Firefox (FF).

    • Jennifer

I couldn’t find the John Freida coupons either…Trussville, AL

    • Meredith

      Renee and Carol,
Yes, I had the same thing happen to me at my store. It was when I first started couponing and I was soooo disappointed! And I was afraid to say anything! It was on Dove products, by Unilever. And the cashiers just said, “yeah, you don’t get your RR if you use coupons!” It was a waste of my money, but now if it happens I just return them and forget it. My sister has quit going to her Walgreen’s and sticks to CVS, but we don’t have a CVS. Thankfully, I have a couponing buddy who works at Wag’s and knows how to work the system!

    • Leah

I get the Georgia Times Union and I have the John Freida coupons! I am sooo happy.
Now I would like to put my 2 cents in on the over buying coupon lady… I have had the same problem here. I was actually accused of the same thing by one of my wags managers but it is all because of people going crazy with the sales. I never buy multiples when there is only 2 or 3 items on the shelf, but I do not feel bad about buying the only one on the shelf when I havent gotten one. I really feel like some of these managers get mad because we are getting such a good deal on the items. I have 2 cashiers at my wags that actually call me the dreaded “coupon lady” and it is just because it annoyies them to have to scan as many coupons as I have items. And with all that being said, I have made friends with every other person in the entire store!! The other managers and cashiers like me and will even volunteer to ring me up at a closed register. So that is the key to me getting my sale items without much hassel.
My store sets limits until Saturday. So I can come in on Sunday and buy one of all the deals I want (so I can actually get them) and then if there are multiples left on Sat I can buy all I want then in back to back transactions (I usually go late in the day).

      Couple of comments:
      1. The Scotch tape on sale this week is BOGO @ 3.49 and there was a manuf Q in a Publix flyer for it a while back(not sure which one!!)
      2. As for the coupon lady-I try to be nice-remember that God provides for us not coupons and let it go – I would rather that cashier remember me as the “nice” lady rather than the stingy lady with ALL THOSE coupons!!
      3. I have a large family(9) so remember sometimes people buying multiples really do need them!!

    • Fern

I am relatively new to couponing in general, but this site has helped me to be an informed couponer.
I had an incident about a month ago when the Nivea body wash was 5.99 and you got back 6RR. I went with my $1 off coupon and when the RR didn’t print out I asked why and was told the same old “it will not print out if you use a coupon” story. I then called for the manager who proceeded to tell me the same story. I told them that it made no sence, that it would be totally free after RR for everyone else, but if you used a $1 off coupon it would cost you $4.99. It didn’t phase them in the least.
I went home and called corporate who gave me the number for the regional manager. I spoke to him and explained the situation and he told me that what they did was not correct and he was going to call them directly. Within an hour another manager at the Wags I had purchased the Nivea called me and was very apologetic. WHen I went in to get my RR he gave me a $20 gift card instead and told me to call him directly if the same thing happens again in the future.
Do not be afraid to call corporate. Tehy do not want to loose customers.
      Hope this helps.

m rose ……….. i am the mother of 7 yes seven children so i do understand needing to buy larger amounts of any given sale my problem in my area is when 1 person goes out and buys ( or takes) all the papers from the paper box buys all that any store has then when the street vendors leave them they will snatch all up before they can be picked up…… then when i travel to several store and i am repetedly told that person came in with there coupons and bought every one they had….just have to wonder what one person would do with 150 A1 steak sauces or the same amount in any other item that ends up being free…… personal i think every one should use coupons stock up when they can and try to save as much as they can and yes people with large family extened familys caring for family members ect ect…… will need to buy more than the average person but knowing we dont live in a third world country and we have these thing regulary available to us as most sale have a 6 week cycle….we dont need to horde 150 A1 steak sauces or all of the news papers ………….this is not aimed at any one person on here as this is just a problem i am having on my side of town in npr florida… personal i love this site and the people on it and agree with the statement of thank god for providing …………. so in closing i would never have wanted any one who reads this to think it was directed at them fr having a large family

    • Couponing Wags Cashier

I work at a SC Walgreens and I cringe every time I read how some of you are being treated. While I realize my managers and I aren’t the ones behaving that way, I want to apologize to you anyway.

There isn’t usually a problem with RR if you use manufacturer’s coupons during the transaction, but for some reason I’ve seen it happening occasionally. I think it’s just a computer glitch. If the cashier isn’t willing to call a manager, or management isn’t willing to work with you on the issue, by all means call corporate and bring it to their attention! In this economy, nobody wants to lose customers!

The Rude/Unscrupulous Coupon Lady is starting to kill the fun for everyone, even in my couponing friendly store. Stores in our area have had to contend with a number of counterfeit coupons and lost A LOT of money. Because of this, we’re not allowed to manually punch in a printable coupon that isn’t scanning properly anymore (although we will with a coupon clipped from the paper). Please realize your cashier has no control over this, and try to control the urge to throw things at us! LOL

Again, I am very sorry that many of you are being treated poorly.

      Happy Couponing!

      Jennifer

    • lynn

      happy couponing everyone

    • Dixie

I wanted to get Dove bar soap today, but I’m confused. There was nothing about 25% off, and the register rewards are $2 RR when you buy 4, not the other way around. Bummer. Also, I couldn’t tell if the six-packs were part of the RR, although I wouldn’t get them for full price anyway. I’m in TN, so maybe it’s different here. None of the Dove stuff is in the ad, either.

    • Tracie

I agree that they are people that abuse the system and help themselves to all of the peelies and buy every item (whether they need or not) that they can get their hands on. I also think that if the store is going to spend the money to advertise a sale, they should be prepared and have that item in stock. I have been at Wags on several occasions first thing Sunday morning. When I get there they are already sold out of everything that I’m looking for in the sales flyer. I know you can shop on Sat and/or get a raincheck but I think that the store should be better stocked for the sale, especially in these economic times. Do they really think that having only 1 or 2 sale items in stock is going to be adequate? It feels like a bait & switch to me.

    • Dianne

I have the two John Freida coupons and will mail them to someone for free as I don’t use them.

    • Leah

Amen Tracie! When I had the confrontation with the manager, that is exactly what I told her. Why advertise a big sale and then only have 4 or 5 in stock? That just seems like poor management to me (and I was OTC manager at a pharmacy for 6 years). I also know from talking to the managers locally that there are 3 or 4 people that screw it up for all of us. They try to set a limit and then the same person will send in there kids, husband, and cousins to get around the limits. So instead of setting limits of 3 or 4, they do 1…which is not fair for those of us that try to follow the rules. (Except when there is a glucometer and $10 rr involved…sorry, I just couldnt help myself)

    • Lauren

My register rewards for the St. Ives didn’t print out yesterday. When I went back to Walgreens they quickly refunded the amount and gave me a Walgreens card in lieu of RR, and told me the reason it didn’t print was because I used a coupon.

    • Lauren

oh, and I got the same craziness at Walgreens regarding the Off! deal – went early on Sunday and they were all out.

    • Jen

I tried to use the razor coupons for the BIGI and they said Walgreens does not except 2 coupons for BIGI, Furthermore, the manager was extremely rude and I have not yet received a call from Corp. Other stores never have a problem with this does any know Walgreen coupon guidelines?

    • Beth

Diane I would love those Q’s… I didn’t have them in my paper yesterday. I live in North Alabama. Let me know if you still have them.

    • Dee

I went to Walgreen’s last Thursday with the $5 off $20 coupon and my mfg’s coupons and had my scenarios all planned out from the tips on this site. I had a dismal experience and swore I would never go to Walgreen’s again. I live in Houston, Texas and called the Walgreen’s corporate office the next day to discuss my frustration. I could not use my RR’s to pay for any of my purchases. I was told by the corporate office that RR’s are manufacturer’s coupons and that if I use mfg’s coupons during the transaction, I can’t pay with RR’s. Is this correct? I was told that the RR’s program is going away “VERY SOON” & I should give Walgreen’s another try after the new program begins. Was this correct?

    • Shauna

I also am having issues with Walgreens. It seems like every week it is something new.

This week I just got the St Ives body wash with coupon. I didn’t want to mess with anything else because my past experiences have been a little frustrating there so I wanted to make it simple. The cashier scrutinized the coupon then the product then the coupon again then the register rewards. I really felt like he was treating me like I was doing something underhanded. I am going to start going to a different Walgreens next week and see if the employees are more coupon friendly there.

    • Amanda

In regards to the “no RR if you use a RR or a coupon” issue, one of the stores locally here spouts that nonsense — even the manager says that. Odd thing is, though, that it really is that way all the time at that particular store. Makes me wonder if there is a way that individual stores can set the catalina machines/registers. The last time I had to deal with this issue I returned my items and told them that I would now only be shopping at the other location (5 minutes away) where RRs DID print when I used my coupons. Contacting corporate gets you no where, and I have never been able to get a straight answer from anybody about their coupon policy. WAGs is the least coupon friendly store in this area. I’ll go there to get a deal (was happy to take as many of their monitors the other week as I could LOL), but otherwise I much, much, MUCH prefer CVS.

    • Beth

I did not get the Joh Freida coupons here in the Charlotte Observer either. I am sooo disappointed! Guess I will try to find some on e-bay!

    • Angela

I couldn’t find the Dove deals in our Wake County Sales paper or store…

    • Jen

Amber those meters can be given to schools. I teach in a rural school and lots of kids could use them.

    • Esmelda

I lucked out this past Sunday. My paper had two Smart Source inserts inside. They had the John Frieda coupons and I won’t be using them. I’ll mail them to anybody who wants them, but I don’t know how to share address info on this site.

    • Cecile

      Esmelda,

I would love to have the coupons….let me know and I will give you my email address!!

    • K

I called corporate customer service a week or so ago to complain about the issues RR’s were giving me. I was told they would be going to a store rewards card (like CVS but better, he said) starting in JULY. That’s soon!! I’m sitting back and only doing the obviously easy deals until then.

    • cathy

I just went to http://www.johnfrieda.com/ and got a $1.00 coupon and printed it twice.

    • meghan

Anyone else have the John Frieda coupons? I would love to have them it is my favorite shampoo! meghancarroll@bellsouth.net

    • lynn

Jenny i know how busy you are and would not like to be the one to add to it but i had a idea from this how about a section for just coupon swapping it seem maybe we all at some time get ones that others could use i know i do and would hate to keep seeing them be wasted just a thought any ways

    • Tracie

      Lynn-

That’s a great idea and it sure beats me “dropping” the coupons that I don’t need at the store. Let’s figure out a way to get the swap started!

    • Aimee

I have to agree that it is not as easy to use RR’s at WAGS as it is to use ECB’s at CVS. Last week, I tried to capitalize on the buy 3 cereal for $10 and get RR’s back. I had $6 RR’s to use on the purchase plus 3 $1.00 off coupons on the cereal. Cereal and $1.00 off coupons rang up correctly but the scanner would not accept my $6 RR’s. They called a supervisor and she said it was because I was buying 3 products and trying to use 5 coupons even though I did not consider the RR’s a mfg coupon. Needless to say, I walked away. Did not even think about buying a filler item so thanks for that tip.

    • Leah

I found dessert cups on the seasonal section today for $.19..turned out to be a great filler for me b/c I had a ton of $1 rr to use up. Hope this helps someone else!! :)

    • Jenny

      Esmelda,

My paper didn’t have any John Frieda coupons in it and I would love to have them. My e-mail address is jenny.mattingly@gmail.com and I will send you my home mailing address but it may be too late to get them here by Saturday, I’m in SC. Thanks SO much!

    • Lisa

I just had to tell everyone that I had a great experience in this store today. The manager actually stopped and helped me check out, putting my coupons in order to get the best deal. She was so amazing! Honestly, everyone in the store was so nice… She gave me coupons that were given to her by the manuf! I was not a Walgreens fan, but I sure am now! I live in St.Pete – so if you are in the area this is your store!! It was the best shopping experience I have ever had.!!!

hey st pete can they call the npr store and tell them how to have good customer service ……… thats great to hear that some one is having good luck with them

    • M Rose

OK-Couple of comments-just for the record-I didn’t feel anybody meant anybody in particular so no offense taken!!! I am usually pretty happy with Wags-just have to be more careful there. I try to stock up as much as I can store and with what we use regularly-with a family our size it goes VERY quickly!!! As to the shelves getting cleaned out-I have been told by Wags and CVS here that some convenience store owners come in and get the free items to re-sell in their stores. That is why CVS started putting those annoying tags on the shampoo(I have an anxiety disorder with sticky price tags!! LOL!!). CVS told me that by noon Sunday most sale items are gone!! I usually wait until mid-week to go because of this and I live 1 block away!!!

    • Cecile

      Esmelda,

mscantbewrong222@aol.com I would LOVE these coupons!!! I will send you coupons in return if you have any you are looking for that I may have!! Just send me an email and I’ll send you my home address! Thanks soo much!!

    • Mary

lots of posts on the walgreens thread, but i wanted to mention that i tried to do the buy 8/get 8 in RR ragu/skippy deal today. apparently it has to be 8 of the same item, as the 6 ragu and 2 sippys only printed a 4RR. just wanted to give everyone a heads up. i was bummed! but, still a good deal overall. thanks for all the info!

    • Renee

I get the Daytona News Journal @ we don’t always get the right coupons in the paper.

    • Ashley

Can you use register rewards that are expiring soon on the Walgreen gift cards or W cards?

    • Kathy

Can you use the RR that prints from the John Frieda to buy more John Frieda products? Or also for the St. Ives can you do that as well?

    • Leah

I have been told that the John Frieda rolls! So you can buy 3 items and a filler and use 3 coupons and the $5 rr and get the same $5 rr. I am going tomorrow to do it for myself. The St Ives does not roll but you could go back and forth between the two and that would work out ok. HTH

*LOOKING TO MAKE A COUPON SWAP*

      Jenny,
Can you tell me where the monthly deals are? My purex rang up wrong at two stores but it os not in the ad for me to show them.
