What do most of you use as a “filler item”

    • Debbie

If you mean so that you can use your Wags RR, nothing. I take them to other stores and they take the $$ off the bill. they are manufacturer Q’s so some stores take them (or all of them, not sure who doesn’t). Much better than buying stuff I don’t want at Wags.

    • Elainda

Ok, so now I’m really confused!! The Wags RR can be used at other stores other than Wags? I live in Washington NC. Can anyone help me!?
      Thanks

    • Holly

I would also like to know what you use for filler items. I have used instant pudding, but I know there must be something that has a lower price.

    • Tina

I dont know of any stores in my area that would take RR for WAGS. I am in Florence,SC. I use the $.30 caramels that are up near the register, but I wish I could find something cheaper as well.

    • marsha

      my filler is always gum.

    • Teresa-QOCD

this weeks filler is $.19 highlighter, no limit.

    • I use the 33 cent carmels that are always in the front of the store

    • Kim

I usually get a package of Ramen noodles for .29 as my filler item ….fairly cheap and something my kid will eat! This past week I used the .39 index cards as my filler we needed them anyway. Sometime I check out the clearance bin too. Once I got some chapstick for .25 each.

    • bhumi

i will totally b following your scenario jenny

    • Carolin

I found a $3 off coupon in a Sense & Spray starter kit. That will make it $1.99 instead of .99. Just an FYI for those of you who don’t buy All You magazines.

    • Leane

      do walgreens double coupons?

    • Rachel

My publix takes my RR. I am never able to find 0.5 cent caramels, mine are 30 cents.

    • Rachel

      They do not double coupons.

    • lynn

when a filler is needed i check clearance section that way i get something i need for real cheap

    • lynn

Leane no they dont double sorry

    • Kay

    • Angie

I must be doing something wrong with Walgreens as I am not getting the RR’s I’m suppose to.
I bought toothbrushes recently and was suppose to have gotten RR for it. I used coupons on those items and when my receipt printed the RR’s didn’t. The lady at the checkout told me if I use coupons on an item that is suppose to give me RR, it won’t print off the RR.

Is there a way to use coupons and get RR too?? I see that in the different scenarios coupons are being used.

    • WALGREENS IS TRICKY DEAL, I WENT TO ONE THAT WOULDN’T TAKE THE LOREAL COUPON ($3 OFF) NOT EVEN ONE WHEN I WAS TRYING TO BUY 4 TO GET $10 WYB $20. SO I left. I went today. I was able to use 4 coupons with no problem. I think is just the cashier or the machine, and walgreens won’t even try anything else than what their registers allowed them too.

    • kristie

      POTENTIAL money maker

There is a Walgreen’s .99 kids coloring book in the pharmacy section with Walgreen’s coupons in it. One of the coupons is a Walgreen’s $2 off 1 licensed character band-aid coupon, so if the licensed character band-aids are included in the sale tomorrow….you buy 2 boxes of band-aids @ $2.99 each and use 1 coupon from this book as well as (2)$.50 or $1.00 manu coupon you will get the band-aids for either $1.00 or free and get $4 in RR. This week I used the Listerine Blue Agent coupon out of this coloring book, and a B1G1 manu coupon (8/2 SS) with a $1.00 off printable blue agent coupon, and got $3 RR back, so I was paid $.32 to buy 2 bottles of mouth rinse.

1 store coupon will take the $2 off each box of band-aids, so a total of $4 will come off just with the store coupon. I found this out today when I bought 2 bottles of Listerine Agent Blue. I expected to just get $1 off but it actually took $2 off for both bottles.

    • HAS ANYONE DONE THE REBATE FOR THE VITAMIN SHAMPOO? I accidentally did the transaction along with the kellogs one and wonder if vitamin will take a copy of receipt instead of the actual receipt?

    • Susan

      Kay –

The total number of manufacturer coupons you use (including RR, but not including the WAGS coupons that are in the sales flyers) must be equal to or less than the total number of items you buy.

So in your scenario you have 8 items and 10 coupons, so you would need to buy two additional items for filler. HTH

    • Susan

Harris Teeter takes RR and I’m in NC, so Lowes Foods will as well. I don’t think Food Lion will. And I don’t think Kroger will either, but I’m not sure.

    • Cindy

fillers can be any cheap item like gum or candy bars even clearanced items. U just want a filler if u have more coupons than products. Use a filler and it will let u use another reward off

    • August 8th, 2009 @ 6:05 pm

Hi girls; I just want to say that you all are so amazing…I am new on how to use coupons and also how to receive them as well. Keep on going girls you all inspire me to want to follow your lead!!
Very much appreciated & will be used.
      Kindest regards,
      Tammy from Kansas

    • I like to use the 25c pack of pocket tissues for a filler. I always need some for the car, purse, kids backpacks, etc.

    • Krystal

I sometimes see that people write that other stores take the Register Rewards. I was wondering which stores people have had success with this at. I have seen some people say that Publix does, while others say they don’t.

    • Bre

Thanks for all the “filler item” ideas! Now I don’t have to walk around like a crazy lady looking for something small, there is only so much pudding I need!

    • Jennifer

In reference to the Walgreen’s Activity Book, do you have to surrender the coupons at the point of purchase? Or are these coupons that you can use more than once? I am wondering if I should purchase more than one Activity Book!

    • Jennifer

To Tina in Florence, SC, Harris Teeter will accept the Walgreens register rewards. I have used them there several times without any problems.

    • Rachel

New to Walgreens — how do you KNOW you need a filler item and for what amount?

    • Stephanie

So, you can use one Walgreens coupon two items? Like the $2 Neosporine? I’m still new to this.

    • Bethany

Where do you find the Walgreens Activity Book? In the kids aisle? Pharmacy? Front counter?

    • Becky

You have to have as many items as you do coupons. Example: If you buy 5 items and have 6 coupons, add a filler (try to find the cheapest filler) so that you then have 6 items to match the six coupons. I like the highlighter deal for .19 as a filler. Hope this helps Rachel!

    • brandy

      Jenny,

Yesterday I shopped at Walgreens and purchased the Rogaine for my husband. I used the $10 coupon that you had listed and in both transactions my register reward did not print. I asked to speak to the manager and she of course said that if I use a coupon the RR won’t print. I told her that i had done this several times in the past and never had a problem with it, but she wouldn’t do anything. Who should I contact about this? Thanks so much for all you do!

      Brandy

    • Tracy T

anyone else having trouble finding the Walgreen’s Activity Book coupons? My store looked at me like I had 2 heads when I asked about it. I have 2 boys & NEED the Neosporin! thanks

    • Samantha

Can anyone confirm if Walgreens is still doing the Dr. Scholls deals. If so, can you use the 10.00 coupons from todays ad?

    • Amanda

I found the coloring book in the pharmacey section. It was attached to the side of a cardboard display.

    • Gail

      Carolin,

Where did you get the $3 off coupon in a Sense & Spray starter kit?

    • Kimberly

Hi Everyone! I just shopped at my local CVS and they had listerine on sale for 1.09. I used my coupons for $1/1 and $3/2 and still recieved my RR for $6!!

    • Kimberly

      Oops!! I meant Walgreens!!

    • Shauna

Omeprazole 42 ct 13.99! (same thing as prilosec)

      This is a great deal!!

    • David

      Does Walgreen’s double $0.50 coupons?

    • kris

Childrens activity book is located in the pharmacy.. I found it there in 3 different walgreens.

    • Marie

Any information on the “Walgreens activity/coloring book” Id really appreciate. I looked in the childrens section today with the rest of the books but didnt see it. Does it say Walgreens brand on it? Any info on what it looks like and some places to look for it? (I saw someone said pharmacy and Ill check that too thanks!) TIA to all!

    • Debbie

I use whatever school supply is cheap as my filler…such as this week I did the .19 Gel Pens for the kids that have different smells like Bubble Gum.
Jenny thank you for your scenerios. I printed it then went thru my book and some of my Q’s are diff b/c of being a diff area. I tweeked what you had done and went in today before church services. I got a TON of stuff for $11 and have $3 in RR to spend next week.
Girls…you need to read the link Jenny puts here on Walgreens policies. Alot of the questions you ask are in there in one nice list she has made for you.
I also ran in CVS and got the FREE Loreal Makeup (after the ECB). I’m very excited about this…a $14 item I love for $0!!! Thanks again Jenny!

    • Samantha

This is a little off topic, but I am curious….

Have any of you noticed Walgreen’s not air conditioning their stores?

It was suffocatingly hot inside the Martinsville, VA Walgreens today.

I couldn’t wait to get outside the store although it’s the hottest time of the year. It was like an oven inside that store! Whew!

    • Bobbie

David, Wags does not double coupons or mine in Birmingham doesn’t.

    • lynn

walgreens doesnt double at all sorry if you are in florida there are no doubling at all

    • bhumi

Scenario 3 n 4 didn’t work for me coz the rr u get from bandaid where Johnson n Johnson n since I used those rrs in #4 I ddnt get any rrs back.

    • I tried to get the Sharpie Highlighters for FREE with my coupon and they wouldn’t take it since my coupon was for $1 off and the highlighters were $0.99. And then, since I’m new to all of this, I thought that since like at CVS you can get several of the items with ECBs, I figured you could do the same for Walgreens with their RRs. So I picked up two Colgates and only got 1 $3 RR. I was confused, but I’ve learned my lesson. Unfortunately, the hard way.

    • Shannon in ATL

A filler I like to use is .99 Bday cards…my son always has a party to attend and it is nice to have these on hand.

    • tammy b. sc

thabks to all of u for all of the information. i am also new to this stacking of coupons. i am loving it when it works. shortcuts was awesome when i emailed them that their coupons did not come off. they automatically put the amount on my kroger card. cellfire wants me to email them the receipt even after i gave them the info. all in all my husband is amazed at how much i am saving us.

    • Jenni

If you live in or near Greenville, SC….I went to the Walgreens on Wade Hampton in Taylors and they had the kids coloring book in the pharmacy behind the counter. I had to ask for them and they gave me 2 for no charge. It even said .99 on the front cover. However, there were no coupons in it! I also checked the kids coloring aisle and did not see any Walgreen’s brand items there. If you know which stores have them, please post!

      Thanks!

    • amelia

I had an awesome time with walgreens today. I like using the health and beauty counter so no one is in line behind me. I did see several reach clearance products but I did not know they would give me RR so I purchased the advertised ones. Following the last scenario I purchased
Huggies on sale at 8.99 and 72 ct wipes for 2.79
used -3 rr from colgate (I did it twice)
      -1.50 man Q
-1 walgreens Q from coloring book found on pharmacy display
-2 walqreens Q back to school savings book
= 4.24 (diapers were tax free in Tennessee today).

But had I have thought it through, I would have bought more than 1 pack of diapers(because the walgreens q would have automatically come off every pack) and finished off my huggies manu q that expire this week. I also would have used the huggies wipes q so they would have been free. Oh, well I will go back.

There are also clearance flip flops and toys 50-75% off.

    • amelia

      little clarification.
-2 walq for wipes, -1 wal Q was for diapers

    • WM

The Walgreens activity books were in the childrens books section here on the toy isle. They are small (8″ x 8″) and have a cartoon on the front with a black/white dog and a bunch of fruits and veggies.
For fillers this week I used the sales flyer coupon for the .19 folders (my kids use lots of these for school). There is always something super cheap every week with a flyer coupon. I also find good fillers in clearance section.

Here’s one deal I did today:

Buy 2 Listerine Smart Rinses $5.29 each
Used BOGOF coupon from past SS -$5.29
Used $1.00 Smart Rinse coupon in Walgreens Activity Book (will give you $1 off each one) -$2.00
      Total $3.29 – a $3 RR I had already = .29 + tax for two.
Plus you get back a $3.00 RR for the two Smart Rinses.

    • Michelle

I ran into attitude today at Walgreens, just like CVS. I was smiling and nice and they were grouchy and entered my coupons angrily, pounding on the keys and forcibly scanning the coupons to let me know that they were upset they had to do the transactions. I am about ready to go to corporate on some of these cashiers who are being down right rude over taking coupons. Being treated this way is getting old to me. I just smile, say thank you, and wish them a good day or evening. I try to go to the back of the line if someone is in back of me and everything. Should I stop expecting them to be cordial? Why do they really hate coupon moms who are trying to save money?

p.s. I tried to get the kids Listerine 500 ml and it won’t go through and is 1.80 more. Just in case anyone else was going to try that.

    • Bobbie

Post @21. Didn’t read all posts but I don’t believe that rebate centers will take a copy of your receipt. Just take items back to the store for a refund and purchase them on seperate receipts if possible. Also, where did you get your rebate form for the vitiam shampoo? Didn’t know there was one out there.

    • Bobbie

Oh I see they had tags on them for try me free. I wasen’t lucky enought to get one of those.

    • Brooke

      Buy: (2) Neosporin $3.99 ea
Use: -$2 off Neosporin store coupon (will come off twice you only need one)
      (2) -$1 off Neosporin
      Total Due: $1.98

Where are the neosporin store coupons? I thought they might be in the school savings booklet, but they were not. Please let me know where to find them.
Thanks for all your hard work!

    • Does the Walgreens Activity Book have a Huggies coupon in it and if so can you use it multiple times or just once?

    • Tausha

Hello everyone! Thanks btw for all your hard work. FYI about Walgreens…I worked for them for years, and my father in MGMT for over a decade. Cashiers are not really trained in customer service, which would explain the difficult time some of you have. Just depends on if you get a decent person or not. They are also NOT trained on any coupon policies, which explains why you get some that will argue points you know to be incorrect. Walgreens store coupons specify limits, but the registers don’t recognize those limits. So, if it says limit 6 you can buy 12 and it will discount all 12. They do NOT need to retain the store coupons. You can show them your ad and they can scan and give it back. They go in the garbage anyway (waste of paper if you ask me) Cosmetics is ALWAYS the best place to check out, because they are required to check someone out at least once every 15 minutes. They are also usually ones that have a little more experience with the company so SHOULD be a little easier to work with. Hope that helps! Happy Couponing!

Jenni, I also live in Greenville and there are a ton of them at the pharmacy counter at the walgreens on Pelham down towards I-85.

    • Brooke

I am not sure about the activity book Amber, but I do know that the back to school savings book in the front of the store has $2 off 64 packages or more.

My Walgreens has the wipes for $3.29 right now. Then minus the $2 coupon from the booklet It comes to $1.29. I had a sweeter deal because I had $1 off peelie coupons so it made it 29 cents a box.

I really loaded up last night. I bought 30 boxes of wipes and 18 bic pens for $13 and change. I didn’t even use any rr. Just coupons.

      Good luck and I hth!

      Samantha,

Where are the $10 cpns from today’s ad for Dr. Scholl’s?

    • Gail

      Amber
The Walgreens Activity book has a Huggies coupon in it for $1. off diapers or training pants. You should be able to use the coupon as much as you want.

      Brooke,
The neosporin store coupons for $2.00 off is in the activity book.

All who are looking for the book:
The Walgreen Children’s Activy Book (that is what is printed on the cover) is a small little book (about the size of a child’s golden book) that only has a few pages in it. It cost $.99 each and is located in different areas of each store – you just need to ask. Yesterday I got one that was on the front counter. Last week at another store, I saw them with the school supplies. Most of the employees don’t even know about them or that they even have coupons in them. There is one page of coupons you can take out of the book to use. The coupons expire March 30, 2010.

    • lynn

ne know about the 10 off drschols in the paper if so please share all info so we can see if it is regional thanks

    • dclark

I have found that the cashiers are more friendly than assistant managers. I called corporate to complain this morning and was basically told that they leave decisions to the managers and don’t tell them what they can and can’t do. My store had a great manager and they moved him. go figure

    • Hi all! I, too, had an issue with the $1 Sharpie Highlighter coupons. I had four of them, but only three coupons would scan. The cashier told me that the reason was because the four packages counted as a lump “sum” that the coupons were coming off of. I tried to explain that the coupons are per item, but she continued to argue. I asked her to take $.99 for the coupon then, but she called a manager. She told the manager that a customer was “fussing,” and he told her to go ahead and put the coupon in for $.99. I got the fourth package for free but went through you know what to get there.

My mother-in-law experienced the same issue at her Walgreens…in a different city.

      Comments? Was I wrong?

      POTENTIAL money maker

This week I used the Listerine Blue Agent coupon out of this coloring book, and a B1G1 manu coupon (8/2 SS) with a $1.00 off printable blue agent coupon, and got $3 RR back, so I was paid $.32 to buy 2 bottles of mouth rinse.

      Kristie,

Is this deal good this week or was this last week? I don’t see anything about it in the ad. Thanks for reminding me to look over the coloring book.

    • lynn

can you get rain checks at wags?

    • Leah

You can get rain checks at my Walgreens if you ask the manager. They will also substitute on most items, unless it is in a register reward scenario. I was able to purchase 3 500ml Listerines and use the -$5.00 coupon to then get the $3.00 register rewards. Also when I purchased 2 cool agent blues in another transaction with a BIGI free and $1.00 coupon I was given another register reward even though I only purchased two rather than three. Not sure why, but if anyone is interested it is worth a try, after reward I paid $0.38 for two cool agent mouth rinses!
      Good Luck

    • Debbie

Thank you Tausha! The info you gave was very helpful and I always wait for someone at the Cosmetics Counter if their not there b/c I have much better experiences there.

    • Brooke-Awesome, thanks for the wipes tip-off to check my Q’s.

Gail-Thanks for the info. I went into my Walgreens tonight and made a casual stroll through and didn’t see the books. Will ask someone next time. The cashier was by herself and 5 people deep in her line.

Tausha-Thank you for telling us that. I have been telling my readers there was something special about the cashiers in cosmetics. They always seeem to know exactly what they are doing and most know the RR rules.

    • Hey Brooke,

Were your peelies on the wipe packages at Walgreens or did you have them from a previous deal?

      Thanks, Amber

    • Tricia

Tausha, thanks; that’s good to know. I ran into the problem with too amny coupons this week – the last thing I gave them was a $10 RR. If I’d been thinking, I’d have grabbed a highlighter or something and used it, but I wasn’t. Now I have like $23 in RR to use. Thank goodness our Publix takes them! And FYI, (per Publix manager) the reason some stores don’t take Wags RR’s is because if the Publix doesn’t have a pharmacy, Walgreens doesn’t count as a competitor.

    • Jennifer

I got an awesome deal on the wipes.
      $2.79 Huggies wipes 64 count
-2.00 Walgreens back 2 School coupon book
      – .50 MF coupon
      $ .29 OOP

      I’ll be back!!!

    • Tarrah R.

There is also a $5/3 oral care coupon to use in conjunction with the Toothbrush, Listerine and floss deal- make an extra $1 profit!

    • Brooke

      Amber-

The huggies peelies were on my packages at Walgreens. Manager said she had just put them out. HTH

    • Celina

I tried to do the cereal discount at Walgreens 3 for $7, using three coupons, one for $1 off two, and then two for %.55 cents each, but they said that I couldn’t do that I could only use two coupons, is this correct?

    • TO JENNIFER POST 78 , YOU CAN DO AS MANY AS YOU WANT IN ONE TRANSACTION AND ONLY NEED ONE COUPON , IT WILL AUTOMATICALLY TAKE OFF FOR EVERY SINGLE ONE. I didn’t have any MF coupon and my walgreens were 2.99 so i got 9 tubs and paid 99 cents for each one, still a good deal.

    • Michelle M.

I went to the Walgreens in Salisbury NC today and they would not take the 1.00 off coupon for the sharpie highlighters. The cashier had another associate come over and she said it was because they were on sale and I couldn’t use it for something on sale. It didnt make since and the coupon would not scan so I didnt make a big deal about. Just wondering if anyone has had the same problem or not.

    • lynn

the first decent wags experiance i have had i just got 10 packs of bic pens for 35 cents woohoo will be sending them to afgahnastan

    • I had the nicest cashier at walgreens today, she said throw me as many coupons as you’d like, as long as the register takes them I will!!!

i ended up walking out of there making 10 dollars!

she even gave me 3 $1.00 off q for the jergens, making it completely free!!

so happpy! to get things free. I now have plenty of listerine for the year!
      plenty of bic pens!
Tomorrow to krogers for free floss!

    • Brandy

      Jenny,

Last week I shopped at Walgreens and purchased the Rogaine for my husband.

      Brandy

    • Sorry if this has already been posted; but walgreens has the velveeta shells and cheese (cups) for $1.00 and there were BOGO cpns in paper from 8/9; also there are cpns in the walgreens back to school cpn flyer…you will end up paying $1.00 for 4….

      Happy Shopping from Tallahassee!

    • Gayle

      Michelle,
I ran into a lot of attitude at Walgreens on the 9th as well. You pretty much described my whole transaction with my cashier. I was so angry at being treated that way, but just like you, said have a good day and went home to clean away my frustration. I’ve had a few issues at CVS but not quite so bad as this time. I don’t get it either.

    • Gayle

Jennifer, thanks for the wipes deal! I’m going tomorrow. I have (3) .75 coupons as well as the $2.00 coupon. Yippee

    • JEB

When I bought some Bic Pens with my Q, amaking them free, my register receipt printed out an “Additional 20% off at Payless Shoes” coupon.

    • Stacy

I’m so bummed. Just tried the sharpie highlighter deal and they wouldn’t take the coupon. :(

    • Anna

Michelle M #83 I went last night and got the free sharpies, and didn’t have any problems.

    • Stacie

Where are the back to school savings booklets at? Is it true that you can use one of the walgreens coupons for as many packages as you want to get? I’ve never done the walgreens thing before just because it’s kind of out of my way, but it’s definitely worth it for the wipes deal! I have 14 .50 cent huggies coupons (would’ve had more but I’ve been using them up like crazy!) so I would want to get 14 tubs of wipes, do I need 14 walgreens coupons and then would I need 14 filler items as well?

    • STACIE- you only need one coupon $2 off 1,and it will take it off for the 14 tubs you want.
and depending on how much are they at your store, you may or may not need a filler, if they are like 2.79 or up you don’t , if they are less than that you do.

It’s a great deal. HAPPY SHOPPPING!

    • Sorry forgot to mention, they’re normally at the entrance with their weekly ad, if not normally cashiers have a laminated copy right at their register, so if they’re out, they should be able to scan one for you.

    • Stacie

Wow, thank you so much, dallas, TX!! I’m so excited to go try this out! I’ll let everyone know how it goes! I’m also going to try the sharpie and the bic deals, if they’re out there, I’ll go down the hill to walmart and over to CVS. Walmart does price matches as long as you take the ad in, so it should be no problem to do it there either! I know I won’t be able to do the wipes deal at walmart because of the walgreens coupon, but the other two will work out just fine!

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO STINKIN’ EXCITED!!! We go through more wipes here than anyone can imagine, even though both of my toddling boys are potty trained, they are a filthy mess all the time! And now my sister is due to have a baby boy in December and Auntie is going to be the babysitter, more messes!

    • lynn

stacie would you please explain the wipes deal so i can try it alsograndbaby and fixing to have another in january so this would be awsome thanks

    • lynn

i have 10 dollars in rr and need to roll them thursday could any of you please help with the math and deal idea for it thanks

    • Stacie

      Lynn, # 97 and 98……………..

I went today and got a great deal on wipes! I’m so excited! I walked out with 15 tubs of 72 count wipes and 10 packs of ink pens for $6.01!!

      Here’s how it worked……….

The sale price was $2.79 on the 64-72 count tubs, there is a store coupon for $2 off of huggies wipes 64-216 count (these are found in the front of the store in the back to school savings booklet, a brochure looking booklet) and there are .50 cent coupons out of the news paper (I cannot remember what week these came from) as well as .75 cent off coupons that came in the mail. You only need one of the store coupons and it takes off $2 for each tub automatically and then you can also use your .50 cent or .75 cent coupons. I used one of the huggies wipe store coupons, 14 .50 cent huggies wipe coupons and one .75 cent huggies wipe coupon. That made 14 tubs, .29 cent each and 1 tub .4 cent, then I also had 5 bic coupons for $1 off of 2 bic products and bought the bic pens that were on sale 2 for $1 and got all of them for free! I’ll go back for more of those tomorrow, I only had 5 coupons with me but I have about 30! If anyone else can simplify this wipes deal for Lynn, please do so, I think I’m trying to be too detailed and it seems fairly extensive and difficult the way I’m wording it.

I really hope this helped you out! I really wish I had more coupons for the wipes, but unfortunately I had already spent a bunch of them considering I go through about a tub or more per week, but I’m so very thankful for the ones that I did get! But even if you don’t have the .50 cent or .75 cent coupons, .79 cent with just the store coupon is an amazing deal! I’m thinking of going to stock up on a few more tomorrow when I grab more ink pens!

For everyone else who is having issues with the Sharpie coupons, they didn’t work for me either. The cashier and the manager were both amazing with everything else but they could not accept the coupons because they were for more than the product. I’m planning on also going to Walmart tomorrow and getting them to match the price at $1 so that I can get them! I have 12 coupons!!

    • Beth

I went to Walgreens tonight and the character band aids are not included in the $2.99 sale, but they are actually a better deal than the Neosporin. They are prices at $3.79. With the $2 off in the activity book and the $1 Band Aid coupon, they are $.79 each and you get the $4RR. I bought 2 boxes, paid $1.82 and got back $4. Not a bad deal!

    • Beth

      Jenny,
Do you know which week the Huggies wipes qs were in the paper? TIA

    • Jennifer

      Dallas TX #82
Thanks for letting me know that I could use 1 of the Huggies $2.00 off coupon on unlimited number of boxes. I went back and got 5. I am afraid to over do it because at CVS 2 people got banned from the store for the good deals they were getting. I am hoping to send my mom and husband.
Also, off the subject does anyone know how to find out the deals at H-E-B without having to pay for the grocery game?

    • Debra

I have a question? I’ve been reading some of your comments about multiple sales example like the huggies wipes, Don’t they limit how many transactions you do? I started the cvs extra care bucks recently and most of the sales you can only do once, it will say limit 1. I would be curious to know if Walgreens have a limit or not, if they don’t I might give them a try as well as cvs.

    • Jennifer

      Debra 103
There is no limit on the Huggies wipes. Walgreens does limit some items and you can only buy one per transaction, but I have gone back the next day and purchased another one. The only thing is if you got RR on the item you can’t redeem on the RR on the same product that you got the rr for because then your RR from the 2nd transaction wont print. I hope this makes sense.

    • GG

I had my first transaction yesterday where they actually owed me money. At Walgreen’s I bouught the Neosporin ($2.00 Activity Book coupon and $1.00 manufacturer coupon) and Baid Aids (50/1 coupon)and 2 of the Listerine Agent Blue (B1G1 coupon and $1.00 off coupon), total out of pocket was $6.57,and then I got RR’s for $4.00 on the Neosporin deal and $3.00 on the Listerine deal. I then turned around and bought 3 Huggies diaper wipes ($2.00 activity book coupon x3, 3- 50/1 coupons), 4 Velveeta cups ($1.00 Back to School book coupon, 2-B1G1 coupons), 1 3-pack Orbit gum at $2.00, 1 4-piece set of children’s squirt guns clearenced priced at $2.50, also got 2 free Sharpie Highligher packs (2- 99/1 coupons)and 1 free Ecotrin (1- $2.25 coupons. I used a $3.00 off $15.00 money coupon then the $4.00 and $3.00 RR’s and then my manufacturer’s coupons then the Walgreen coupons and with that layout of coupons I had not problems and they owed me .14 cents, had to buy a sucker and give them .47 cents but what the heck. Ah the thrill of the deal…….

    • lynn

are the huggies coupons free or do you haveto buy the activity book oh thnk you so much for sharing this del

    • I go to a walgreens in Collegedale TN. I tried doing the Listerine and reach tooth brush rebate and I used a cupon. It would not print the RR. I asked the manager and I was told that if I use a cupon that they will not issue a RR. I asked him to explain and he could not. He just would do nothing, so I returned the items. He even gave me the dollar amount of the cupon back, This is insane, There is nothing on the add that says you can’t use cupons. I have noticed that this is occuring more in the last few months. I think Walgreens should clarify their policy regarding using cupons and RR’s. Is there something that we can do? I am to the point that I will not go back. There is always a problem and never in my favor. I think that they do this intentionaly.

    • GG

Just wanted to post another deal I did at lunch in case someone wants to try it……..I bought 2 boxes of the character bandaids (used the $2.00 coupon in the activity book and 2- 50/1 manufacturer’s coupons) and bought 2 Listerine Cool Blue rinses (used B1G1 manufacturer’s coupon, 2 $1.00 manufacturer’s coupons and the $1.00 coupon out of the activity book) Total out of pocket was $5.27, would have been $4.27 but she took off the free one before running the $1.00 coupons so it would only take 1. I received a $4.00 RR and a $3.00 RR for this transaction……I then bought 4 Huggies Wipes (used the $2.00 coupon in the Back to School coupon book and 2- $1.50 off Huggies Diaper Product that I found on Coupons.Com, they work for the wipes). I bought 4 Soft Soap pumps at 2/$2.79 (used 4- 2.00 coupons) and I bought 2- 3 packs of the Orbit gum at 2/$4.00. I gave her my $4.00 RR and the $3.00 RR and my manufacturer’s coupons and when all was said and done I owed them .03 that’s right 3 cents and got a $1.00 RR to use the next time. This coupon stuff rocks……….

    • I went to walgreens and got a total of 25 tubs of wipes with no problems!

also did the listerine deal quite a few times with no problem it paid for the wipes!
mAYBE i’VE BEEN LUCKY IS MY BIRTHDAY!

    • lynn

this is the first time i have done a deal at wags with no problem got the babay wipes thank you for sharing thed eal

    • lynn

can any one share what coupons are in the activity book?

    • Jennifer

The wipes are such an amazing deal! Even without any manufacturer’s coupons you can’t beat that price!!! I also had trouble with the Listerine/Reach deal. The manager at this store told me it was because I didn’t buy one of each of the items pictured in the ad (one toothbrush, one listerine, and one floss). After much discussion, I just returned the items. But, because I’d used a $3/$10 Q, and a $3 Q for the listerine, my refund amount was for more than I’d originally paid. Luckily, the manager didn’t mind. So, after about 1/2 an hour of trouble, they paid me $.35 to take home 4 tubs of wipes and 5 cans of soup. Hooray!!! :)
If the policy is changing not to allow RRs with transactions using coupons, they need to make that clear. Unlike CVS, they can’t force the registers to print them (at least that’s what this manager says…)

    • Christy

      Go buy some wipes!!
      What a great deal!
I had 10 RR to use so I got the Jergens lotion and colgate toothpaste (plus a filler item) to earn $8 RR. I purchased a bigger refill pack of the Huggies wipes (on sale for 6.99) and used my $5 RR plus the $2 off in-store coupon (back to school pamphlet)and ended up paying .41cents for them.
As long as your store still has the Jergens lotion in stock, you could try the same thing. It’s an even better deal if you have more coupons; unfortunately, I did not. I only got 2 bags of the refill wipes, but I was thrilled! (I got the tresemme shampoo deal to earn $5 RR to put toward another jergens lotion and eventually wipes.)

    • GG

The activity book as said will cost you .99 cents but it is well worth it. Coupons in it are $1 Listerine Cool Blue, .50 off Walgreen Children’s Allergy Relief, $1 off Gerber tooth and gum cleaner, $5 off Braun ThermoScan, $1 off Flavored Tylenol, $1 off Children’s Benadryl, $2 off Band-Aid Character Bandages, $2 off Neosporin, $1 off Zooth or Oral-B Stages toothbrushes, $2 off L’il Critters Gummy Vitamins, $1 off Huggies diapers, and $1 off Crayola Color Explosion or Color Wonder. And remember you can use 1 coupon too purchase multiples of that item, like you have 10 Neosporins you will get $2.00 of all 10 of them….Wonderful deals for parents with small children………….and you can stack these coupons with manufacturers coupons and get an even better deal………HAPPY COUPONING…….

    • Gail

Bought the 2 Neosporin with some other items.
When I used the 2 $2. each coupons from the activity book
the register only took $3.40 off instead of the $4 (I also used 2 $1.00 mfc). The cashier told me that sometimes the register adjusts the coupons.

Has anyone else had this happen or know why this might of happened?

    • GG

I don’t understand what happened with this transaction. You only had to use (1)$2.00 Walgreen activity book coupon, it would have taken off for both of the Neosporin, you should have gotten $4.00 off with the $2 activity book coupon and another $2 off for the (2)$1 coupons, so you should have gotton a total of $6 off the Neosporin. The computer usually only adjusts when the coupon is for more than the item, so I do not understand what happened. Was the Neosporin priced at $3.99?

    • lynn

thank you so much for this valueable infoe this has been awsome to get baby wipe for so cheap you people have been wonderful

    • Ruth

Didn’t see any printable Bic’s on the printable link anymore. Guess I missed the boat with that. I did get 8 free Sharpies using the $1 off each printable today. And the 25 free pictures…
      Woohoo!

    • Jennifer

OK Please HELP! I went to buy some tubs of huggies….got up to the register and they wouldn’t take my $.75 manf. coupons. They said I could only use the store coupon OR the manf. coupons…I told them to keep the wipes and left. They are $3.49 in Greenville SC. Does anybody know Walgreens coupon policy???? Thanks

    • Stacie

      Jennifer~

They had a little problem getting my mfr coupons to scan after the store coupon, so the next time I went, I had them ring up the mfr coupons first and then the store coupon, worked out beautifully! Hope that helps!

    • GG

The scenario that seems to work the best for me is Any $ off Walgreen’s coupons first (like $5 off $15 or whatever) then the register rewards, then any B1G1 coupons, then manufacturer’s coupons and last the store coupon. If you only have manufacturer’s coupons and store coupons hand them to the cashier in that order………..I have not had a problem yet with this system…….

    • Dy

I ventured out on my first Walgreens trip after reading all over you site…..and I did not get RR back on the Listerine deal (I bought 3 floss….was that ok?) I used the $3/3 coupon …..I was deflated but not defeated…..is there some new rule that you can’t get RR if you use a mf.cpn??
In your opinions, is CVS easier than Walgreens bec/ of Extra Care Card? will try again….
and they were out of baby wipes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • Gail

      GG #116

I got the Neo Oint & the Neo Antispic for $3.39 each. That probably had something to do with it.
      Thanks
