totally off subject…can someone explain to me the advantages of ThredUp.com. I understand that you can get a box of clothing or toys for $15.95 and you can post your own boxes. I can’t understand why you can’t see what you are ordering. And I can’t see the advantages of that over purchasing from ebay.

    • Kassie

So excited! I have been waiting for this!…refresh…refresh…refresh…lol

    • Couponfreebiegiveaway

I didn't see this on the list, but thought I would share a FREEBIE from Walmart. With the Degree Premium $1 off coupon from 7/31 I got Degree trial size deodorant (97cent value) FREE. Woot Woot! Def will be going back for the ivory and other freebies you have listed!

      • Couponfreebiegiveaway

        *travel size LOL

      • Chris

Also the Garnier Fructis Q doesn't specify size (the printable I printed didn't) and they have a $0.97 trial size so the $1/1 Q makes it free as well.

        • where is that coupon?

          • Chris

Use the links she has above

          • Chris

OK – so don't use the link that goes direct to the bricks Q because that one says excl trial size.  Use the link that takes you to the website and then take the quiz and get that $1/1 Q.  That one does NOT specify size on it.  HTH

        • mommyof1

i have a few printed for garnier.. ill have to check them for the trial size exclusion.. lets hope not as we travel quite a bit and these small sizes come in handy! thanks for posting as i never thought of the shampoo travel sizes! im going to check all my shampoo/deo coupons tonight!

          • Chris

Oh yeah!  The travel/trial sizes are great with those $1/1 Qs sometimes – shampoo, deod, shave gel, pain meds, you name it.  Always check your HBA Qs for size restrictions and then look to the travel/trial size section first unless you know you need it for a specific deal.

      Pilot B2P Pens, 50¢ -$1 off Pilot printable(makes it FREE),/span>
This isn't in my ad is it a regional deal or do you have to price match or is it an everyday price of $0.50, thanks for the help in advance

      • Srgordon

My walmart didn't have the pens marked down to $.50 so didn't get them but still got a great haul 8 packs of bic pens, price matched from Kmart to $.50, and 4 packs of Cascade all for $0.41, used $1 off 2 Bic and $1 off Cascade

    • Jmaple01

The Mail-in rebate you have listed for the Kellogg's Pop Tarts are linking to a Playtex Tampon site.  Is this an error?

      • Wwkkss07

It did the same thing to me…I just did a Google search for Pop Tart rebate and found the form.

    • Vive 1 paper towl is $1 & there is an .85 Q

      • Barbara

Where did you find the coupon? And, is it “Vive” or “Viva”?Thanks!

    • Shaina

The Greek Yogurt coupon is $1/2 making it $0.50 each WYB 2, not free.

    • guest

Thanks for wasting my ink.  I printed this based on this post and it says excluding trial size.

    • Chris

And if you see my corrected post below, in reply to someone else, I checked both links FOR YOU and then specified which one to use.  Geez – so you printed one and it wasn't right.  Thanks for wasting my time making me read your post.

      • Justineandtodd

Someone sounds like they are wound a little tight don't they Chris. So much for trying to be helpful.

        • Chris

Thanks!  Yeah it happens all the time – Jenny posts the info and someone tries to help clarify or add additional info plus some deal info and POOF one of these “do it for me” folks shows up.  Oh well – just hope everyone else finds the info useful!

    • Ella_sinder

maybe i'm wrong here, but shouldnt the trial/travel size tide be free with the 1 off q in yesterdays p&g? it doesnt exclude trial size.

      • Chris

I didn't get a Garnier $1/1 Q in my PG here in Atlanta.  But if you got one then yes.

      • Zee

        YEP!

    • Jenn

Isn't that being a little rude?? We are all here trying to save money and I'm sure that printing only 1 coupon did not waste too much of your ink. Thanks Chris for being helpful for the rest of us! Mabey they should have read the print themselves before printing.

    • Cori C.

Cover girl lash blast mascara- $9.98?? Is that right?

      • DKSaver

It comes with an eyeliner. still not the best price. HTH

    • Cori C.

yeah that was kind of rude. I see him on here alot and he is always helpful

    • Frank

Anyone else see Speed $9.96 and think, wow, Walmart truly does sell everything ;)

    • Melodie Leathers

How do you get coupons from Recycle Bank?  I signed up, but I don't see any coupons!

      • Victoria

You have to earn points by doing pledges or playing the games and you cash in those points for the coupons. HTH

        • Melodie Leathers

          Thanks!

        • Christinec

gosh that sounds like a lot of time I don't have. Are the coupons really worth the time you spend on the computer?

          • mommyof1

yes.. i spent about 10 minutes and got a $3 off of $50 purchase at publix.. =) i actually had enough points to buy 2 of these.. so 20 minutes for $6 off groceries (used on separate trips).. on top of bogo's and other coupons.. i saved like 60% last week =) so its worth it to me on some things

      • Mlgrazier

I save my points and cash them in for $10 0ff $50 at Harris Teeter…I just ordered 2 can't wait to get them…

      • Tnjcent

You have to earn points!….it took me a while to learn to use this site…you have to keep navigating it to follow…don't think it is user friendly at first. In order to earn points, you do a few of their recommendations…like post some codes from boxes, follow them on facebook or just watch a short recycling video and answer a few  questions. Little by little…you do earn points! Just keep going to their site, sign in…then navigate it!

        • Tnjcent

also play games and do pledges!….keep navigating!

    • Colleenstanley21

I was just at my walmart and they marked up the small m&m bags to .75. Bummer! Also, they had degree travel size deoderant for men and women for .97–coupon in Sunday's paper.

    • JL

I love how when ever someone leaves a rude or nasty comment they sign is as guest never a real name or nickname they usually use on this site.

    • Mlgrazier

I finally found the 3 pks of Cascade at Walmart today, they had a huge box of them on the shelf…so I got 3 — free plus a few cents over, and I also bought Bic pens .97 and I had coupons for a $1 off 2, so I bought 3 and got 3 free with my coupons…my husband just shakes his head..a few pennies over on the pens too…

    • Print Preview works for me…

    • Anniescott114

next time try finding your own dang coupon then, since you are being a jerk about one that WAS FOUND FOR YOU!

    • Rhonda

I comp priced an item yesterday @ walmart but was told I couldn't use my coupon. I have contacted Walmart and they tell me it's the managers decision whether they will accept the coupon. Has any one had this happen to them?

      • guest

I usually use a coupon with a price match, and they have never once told me I could not.

      • Diane

Print out Walmarts coupon policy and have it with you,, they cannot refuse a coupon!!  unless it states it in there policy,,, good rule of thumb,, print out all the policy of where you shop and then you have them with you when you go

      • Pennydealchick

I have had that same thing. They told me I could do one or the other not both. I had my policy with me and the manager was called over and he stated because of several transaction he has decided that his store will only allow for one discount. I have tried two others near me and got the same answer.  Good luck finding one to do both.

      • Missy

My sister had this happen to her also.  she called the manager over and they allowed it.  It's frustrating that they are like that.  I hate wal mart though and try to avoid it like the plague.

      • Jacketfan24

I work for Walmart and it is NOT company policy to refuse coupons unless it is for the obvious reasons…copy, unreadable, etc. ( The same reasons Publix would refuse them).  The coupon is not a discount but a method of payment and the policy they give the associates says nothing about doing only one or the other.  It says to make the customer happy!  The store manager is not supposed to make up his own policy but follow the corporate policy.  The store I work in is great!

      • Kelleyharold

Yes, many years ago when I started price-matching at Wal-Mart they told me I could not do both price-matching and use a coupon on the same item.

    • Zebbie

I was lucky to get a few packs of cascade at my walmart, not a minute too soon.  There was a bin with a lot of packs in it still.  I picked up 3, thinking that was all the coupons I had.  I moved out of the way down the aisle to a corner to retrieve my coupons from my binder, and realized I had 2 more that were expiring that day.  As I was doing that, a lady came up and grabbed a big handfull,  and another, and another.  I was hoping she would leave me 2, but no such luck.  The bin was empty when she was done.  Glad I got there before her to get my 3.

      • Cori C.

I think the coupon says “limit of 4 like coupons” anyway

        • Val

The cashier probably didn't even check. =(

      • I read about this deal too late! I went in this afternoon with my coupons, thinking I'd refill my bucket for free…and they were cleared out!

Sometimes this couponing thing just gets me down.

      • jef

Yep, went yesterday and they were ALL GONE! Hopefully they'll replenish before the coupon expires.

    • Christinec

I really love this site!!! thank you!

    • Rhonda

Price for Ivory soap is now $1.24 @ the Walmart I shop, not,97

      • jef

Mine too….they have just increased the price though, as I had coupons from the last P&G insert that I just used a couple of weeks ago.

    • Kelly

Does anyone know how these prices work at Walmart Neighborhood Market? I don't like to go anywhere near the nasty old Walmart Supercenter in the area, but the Neighborhood Market is close by and clean. They sell all of the products mentioned above.

      • Rley1011

So true, our Walmart Supercenter here in Hoover, AL is a bit nasty too. I don't buy my meat and produce there because they look nasty.  I especially dislike some of their staff. That's why Publix rocks, although some items are a bit expensive than walmart but it's always a pleasant experience shopping at Publix. I also  saved a lot of money at Publix BOGO deals.

        • Murpheeboy

You must be talking about “tatoo girl” (customer service person) ..she always has a problem  taking competitor coupons….especially Publix coupons….always speak to the manager…Mr. Gray.

    • Tasha

Some of the internet coupons I print are missing the smaller barcode that most others have. Can these still be used or am I doing something wrong?

      • Chris

They're still good.  Some of them I've noticed are switching to the new format barcode but they're still accepted.  I used two Garnier Fructis Qs at Walmart and the cashier just had to key them in (they scanned but the register freaked out so they just keyed).

      • Mimnaugh_tabitha

i went to one of jenny's workshops and she said they were redoing the internet coupons and the smaller barcode will no longer be there

    • Goodkristen

I have tons of 7/31/11 coupon inserts -unilever and grocery coupons I would love to trade/barter/sell-also have tons of baby product coupons!!!!!

      goodkristen@gmail.com

      • Brenda

Hey, what do you have in the baby coupon line?
        My email is innovation3535@yahoo.com
        @yahoo-6NNK6YUGA7IPOXECPLP34INAPQ:disqus Thank you.

    • 4boysmom

I have tons of Smart Source 7/17/11 inserts from The State newspaper in Columbia, SC that I could trade.

    • achmomma

I bought a paper this Sunday and someone five fingered more than half of my coupons before I had my hands on it….I usually notice when someone has been through the paper.  I only have some of my Smart source & RPlum coupons and none of the P&G.

      • Val

Newspapers only get a certain amount of inserts so, sometimes they run out before all papers are filled. Some papers get none or only some. Also, the machines, not people, usually put the inserts in and sometimes they skip a paper, or put 2 in one and none in the other. It's more likely that this happened. Why would someone take one insert and not the rest? Regardless, sorry this happened to you. In the future, if you're buying it in a store inform the cashier that you're purchasing it for coupons and check first.

      • Brandy

Our local paper in Colubus, OH only includes all coupon inserts & ads if you subscibe to home delivery.  When I have purchased at a retail location it only included 1 coupon insert and about half the ads it usually has.  Really annoying!!

      • Guest

same thing happened to me with TWO papers!! People are desperate

    • Shannonw1983

YOUR ARE SO RUDE!!! mine didnt specify no trial sizes

    • Margomcgee

does anyone know the code for the banquet coupons

      • Laura

        23385389

    • Rachelweeks1

So maybe I'm missing something…the glade spray has coupons listed under it from the October good housekeeping. Wouldn't these have already expired?

      • LeAnn

Some magazine coupons last for 12 months or close to that!

    • christina

Don't know if this will help anyone, but I was in walmart last week and my store told me that price matching and coupons were no longer going to be together. She explained I would have to choose between the pricematch price or pay reg. price and use my coupon. I was shocked. So I called corporate to ask if this was the new policy or was this just my store. By the end of the day, I was called by my local store and they said it was discussed but it wouldn't be taking affect! So, I also let her know that My store REFUSES (the last 6 months) to pricematch Delmonte pineapples with the ALDI paper. She apologized and said that is just that some management at the store decided not to take ALDI papers and that they would accept my paper for 99 cents pineapples again!!!!!!!! Yeah! Walmart corporate has very good customer service!

      • Kelleyharold

That's the way I have always been told at Wal-Mart: You can price-match but you can't use a coupon on anything you price-match.  That's why I usually just shop elsewhere because it's a better deal.  I really hope they standardize it!

        • syndilew

I am glad that you had a good experience with their customer service because I have not.  I actually had a CS tell me that they didn't ad match and that she didn't know what I was talking about.

          • melissa

            OMG……..Call home office……

        • melissa

u can use your coupon for price matched items at walmart!!!! Customer service manager here for walmart!!! lol   call home office!!!!

          • Sweet_innocent62

My walmart informed me today that they do not match prices and use coupons on same item.  It was stacking! So I think I may call cutstomer service tomorrow and have them call the store!

      • melissa

wow Christina!! That walmart store is crazy!!! I m  manger at walmart …..we match it  all!!  You can always find our coupon policy at walmart. com!! We sometimes match things we shouldnt to make the customer happy………!!!!! Good for you 1-800-WALMART……WORKS!!!

        • Chris

Maybe someone needs to pass this info up the chain – if Walmart stores were more consistent and adhered to their own policies as published (on their own website from Corporate) then more ppl would shop there.  I for one avoid Walmart because I always have issues with my coupons and hardly ever find what I'm looking for in stock (and no one seems to ever be able to help me locate the item, find out if it's even coming in anytime soon, or even discuss special ordering).  Perhaps they need to take a cue from some of their smaller competitors, like Publix, when it comes to these customer services.

          • Holmiemom

I have the same problem, Chris.  I am wondering why stock is so low…I went in once when I had $3.q's and Nivea shower gel was on “sale” for $3.  The cashier, of course speaking to someone other than me because she was annoyed with my coupons, was saying how her MANAGERS came through her line right after the papers came in and bought at least 20 a piece!  Wonder where they got their q's?
            I so prefer Publix :)

    • Veronica

Just a heads up to those printing the Garnier coupons from the site w/ the quiz:  Mine did print with a line in the fine print (not directly under the $1.00 off where you would usually see it);  “Consumer:  Good towards FULL-SIZED products only.  Trial size not included in offer.”

      • Chris

Thanks!  They added that then because I know for sure it wasn't on the last Qs I printed and used.  I just checked the ones I printed yesterday and you're right – it's there.  Oh well.

      • Tammy

I tried to use these this evening on a full size item, regular price and was humilated by the cashier and then csr.  I so wanted to scream at them, this is NOT my first rodeo, I know what I am doing and you guys are totally wrong.  I came THIS close to calling Walmart cust service while at the register but honestly think if too many people complain over a silly coupon, the companies will stop allowing us to use them.

    • Lexie_coupons

The Ad for U by Kotez at Walgreens this week is a better deal than walmart.
See page 13 of the walgreens circular.

      Thanks, Jenny!

    • Wbarmour

Can you use two bogo coupons at walmart to get both items for free? The way the policy reads, its seems that you can.

      • tina

i dont think so u would need 4 items to use both coupons u have to buy one to get one free

      • Val

No– definitely, no. 2 bogo coupons to get 2 free items is not acceptable anywhere.

      • BigMx3

If they have it ON SALE BOGO, you can use a BOGO coupon to get them both free.

      • mommyof1

No. I tried this before and the lady gave me attitude.. i mean.. technically you should be able to.. you have already purchased the itmes.. they are rung up and on your recepit.. 2 purchased items…  walmart will get their money from the coupons.. so i dont know why they are so unfriendly about it when other stores (cvs) will let you do it without a problem.

    • guest

I just had a horrible experience @ WALMART. I tried to buy the trial packs of the cascade for .97 and trial pck of tide for .97 and use the $1 off one coupon that came in this pat sundays inserts Well neither manager would let me use them b/c they said that on the coupon on the picture it shows full size. I informed her that it does not state on the coupon any size restrictions or exclusions, it just says “one tide”, “one cascade. They still did not let me use them. Anyone else with this problem>

      • Margoren

I used mine without a problem. Maybe you need to call corporate or try going again with a different cashier.

      • Ella_sinder

yeah, my cascade went off without a hitch but when the tide beeped a manager had to come and approve… she said “even though it doesnt SAY it, it MEANS full size.” Anyway she let me do it, but when I got home I found that even though I GAVE my q's the the lady and she took them, the $1off q for my trial size shampoo wasn't taken off. So now I have to go back and return trial size shampoo. I just hope THAT trip goes better!

      • Laura

My Walmart & Target both refuse coupons on trial size. They say even though the Q may not list a size restriction it is store policy not to take Q's for trial sizes.

        • mommyof1

Store policy? My walmart in rincon ga took the cascade coupon.. and gave me the 3 cent overage.. i didnt even have to explain anything.. she just punched in some keys.. and that was that.. i hate that in one company each store can have a different policy..

      • Lisamarieonssi

I’ve read a lot of problems but it doesn’t say excluding trail sizes so I don’t know what the problem is – plus they get their 1.00 back when they send in the coupons – right????

    • guest

My WM is participating in a double coupon trial and if it goes well I've heard it might go company wide.  My trip today went off without a hitch and I got to use up most of my smaller face value Qs.  The only down side was that checkout took about an hour because the cashier had to key everything in with a calculator.  But, it's all good when it comes to saving money.

      • Crystal

I was just in the Morehead City, NC store today.
I had two supervisors comes up to me. They see me and my mother with out coupons binders. They were extremely friendly. They explained to us that they had been having meetings all week on educating their employees about coupons.
They were encourging us to do the ad price matching. They also told me where to find the single use tide pacs. I had already picked up the Cascade pacs. They also said that Walmart was considering doing double coupons.

I do not frequent WM.  However, they had some wonderful bargains with the use of my coupons.  They had Bic Sensitivity razors (12 ct) for $2.57 and I was able to use my $2.00 manuf Q making it $.57.  They had Bic Twilight Razors for $4.47 and i was able to use my $3.00 manuf Q, making it $1.47.  They had Zest bar soap for $1.98 and I was able to use $1.00 manuf Q, making it $.98.  They had Zest Body Wash for $2.74 and I was able to use my $1.00 manuf Q, making it $1.74.  I was also able to get Zyrtec (5 ct) for $.5.27 and used a $5 manuf Q, making it $.27 and Reach dental floss for $.88 and used a $1.00 manuf Q making it FREE!!!

I have to say, I live in a small town where the larger grocery store (Kroger) is 45 mins away, and we have no Publix or Harris Teeter, but thankfully we have a GREAT walmart not far away.  The Wal Mart is amazing about price matching!  I usually get the ads together, find my best deals that I want to take advantage of and price match pretty much my entire cart and they are great about taking coupons too!  Sorry so many of you are having troubles:(

    • Angelmj1019

I found downy fabric softener 64 oz, April fresh scent for 3.16 and I had a $1 off Q, plus it has a sample of downy unstoppable attached. Also found Febreeze Thai dragonfruit fabric refresher for $2.66 and had a $1 Q. Pretty good deals for our house. Not sure where the Q's came from though, sorry.

    • Deanna_RN

I had a great trip to walmart today.  I got (6) johnson&johnson first aid to go kits for (0.97each) used (3) $1.50 off two coupons, 2 reach dental floss at 0.88 used (2) $1 off coupons, (4) travel size degree deodorants for (0.97each) used (2) $1 off two coupons and two cascade complete pack at (0.97each), used (2) $1 off coupons.  Total was $14 and some change paid $3.87.

    • KK

Walmart also have their Hunt's Ketchup for $1.00 from a rollback price from $1.23. If you use either .25 or .35 coupons, you can score a good deal.

    • Cori C.

I think either Wal-mart or P&G has caught onto the fact that we are using the $1 coupons on the trial size….I went to 3 different Walmarts in  the last two days and all 3 stores were out. One of the stores had pulled the entire bin and price tag off the shelf where it used to be. Either that or they aren't enforcing the “4 like coupons” .

      • Cori C.

sorry, I meant on the trial size Cascade!

        • JenW

Our Walmart just received the largest shipment EVER of the Cascade trial packs.  They have a huge display on an end cap with nothing but the trial size Cascade packs.  Just put it up this week……

          • Cori C.

Thanks! I went to a 4th walmart today (there are 4 walmarts within 10 miles of my house) and they were also out. I ran into a friend of mine who works in receiving and asked her about it and she said if they are out of stock it has to do with the manufacturer and how much they are shipping….

            • Shawn

check near the registers…dont ask me why but I was standing in line upset that I couldnt find any and looked to my right and there was a whole line hanging beside the little flashlights and purell and q tips

The Glade room spray coupon states 9.7 ounce.  The Glade that is 98 cents is 9 ounces.  Anyone had any luck using this coupon?

    • Kelley

I think it would be extremely helpful if we all got in the habit of stating the store when discussing a good or bad experience at a store ( Forest Acres SC Walmart, Gamecock Bilo, etc…

      • Beachbabies6

We used these in florida today.  I did three seperate transactions and got five total at walmart.  I had no problems until the last one the cashier told me the picture was not the same as the product I bought.  I pointed to the wording and told her that it was any glade order elminating spray.

        • Beachbabies6

sorry I hit the wrong reply button I meant to reply to Rachel.  =)

I scored big in their toy clearance section today. I got well over $100 worth of toys for just $50.  They seem to be making room for all of their Christmas toy stock and getting rid of a lot! Great deals to be had there! (Norfolk, VA)

How do you find out which wal-mart is doubling?

      • guest

I called my local store and they confirmed it.  They had absolutly no signs out to advertise the fact though.

        • Klynn

Thanks. Do you know what they double to?

          • guest

Mine doubles any coupon face value under $1 up to 99 cents.  I hope your store does the same.  I got some great deals this week!

I have been reading brags and comments on different blogs of people price matching walgreens and cvs ads with the “price” being after RR and ECBs. Is it only some walmarts doing this? In their price match policy I cannot find anything going against doing this????? Anyone know????

Last Sat. I went to one of the Walmarts in Hburg, Va and took my Kroger sale paper to do a price match. The Kroger sales add was for Oral B toothbrushes, 10 for $10. I had $1 off 1 coupons for each of them making them free. The cashier called an Asst. Manager to my register and she called the Store Manager. I was told they would NOT match the Kroger add because it was a 10 for $10 sale and didn't state an individual price?? She then proceeded to explain to me that Walmart feels their prices undercut any competitors prices every day. I'm confused about this policy?

    • Lorinandshauna

Question: Does anyone know how much longer back-to-school items will be on sale at Wal-mart?

    • MsMelanie

I just had a very bad experience with the Super Walmart in Nashville, TN that is by my home. I am very careful to use my coupons appropriately which is why I was extremely upset. I am one of those people that when I am right you and everyone else is going to know it. When I went into Walmart I went to purchase 4 of the 3pack Cascades, Gain detergent, and 8 10-Pack Bic Pens. I had the 4 $1.00 off One Cascade, the Family Dollar Advertisement for $5.00 Gain plus the $1.00 off tide/gain coupon, the KMart advertisement for the Bic pens on sale for .50 each, and the $1.00/2 coupon. This would make me only having to purchase the Gain. When I went through the line she took my purchases and the price match with no problem. Then came the coupons. She did not want to do the cascade because she said that it was more then the product. I explain nicely that it was OK and the Walmart Policy allows this to take place. When she scanned the coupon it beeped and she said “See it will not let me do it” I explained the policy again this time pulling the policy up on my phone which she would not look at. She called floor manager who overrode the computer saying she was not going to trip over .3 cents. I told the worker I would not either, but this is the difference in something being free or not. When it was time for her to take the other coupons she refused saying I had to pick either price matching or coupons but I could not do both. She was getting very rude and the floor manager again told me I could not do it. I told them to cancel my order. I went to customer service, found an assistant manager and showed him my coupons, the sales ad, and told him what I was trying to purchase. I then showed him the store policy which he read and told me I was right and that the cashiers do not always know the policy. I also explained to him that in price matching if you cannot price match and take my coupons then I have no use of shopping at Walmart. I can go 5mins in the other direction and get my things from the other stores without the hassle and get the savings. He apologized and took me back to the register to explain to the employee what she needed to do. When my turn came she again said that it was wrong and that the “picture” on the coupon is for a different size. I explained that the “words” on the coupon is what is important which does not specify a size. I then attempted to show her the policy again and she again would not look at it. Needless to say I only got my cascade and left the other things there because of the hassle. However I will be calling to find out who the store manager is and asking that they notify their associates of their policy. This Walmart is 5mins from my house and I want to get my things their without hassle. But one thing I learned is to have the policy on hand. Whether it be printed out or on the phone. Always have it available, it will be necessary.

      • Sweet_innocent62

Could you please let me know what your store said about price matching & coupons? Because today I was allowed to use my coupons and price match but then the manager told me after she allowed the purchase because the other manager OKAYED the policy..that you could NOT price match and use coupons. THE POLICY DOES NOT SAY THAT!

        • Calpurnia78

yes it is ridiculous! They get the money back from the manufacturer. I was going to try to price match with a coupon today on something publix is out of, but I dont want a big hassle at the register after what happened the last time I was there, wqhen they only accepted one of each internet coupon. I had 4 coupons for 4 items, they implied they were photocopies! when I got 2 printed from my computer and my friend printed 2 for me. They said I could only use one..this is not the policy. I went out of my way to go there. I had to go thru the line 4 separate times to buy it. Idiots.

      • mommyof1

I would call the home office.. many store managers are worse than cashiers or dept managers.. off the subject but –  one time we had a manager threaten to kick my husband out of the store because he was trying to let him know that a disabled man could not walk through an aisle because of the stocker's boxes were in the way.. i still cannot understand him yelling at us to this day!  its like these managers are delusional.. how in the world did they get to run a store? You have to call the big guys in corporate for anything to happen.  (and then, its a miracle)

    • Nypt68

I use this site to get all the best deals at different stores to attemp to price match at walmart. One problem I have is sometimes the cashier will say if you don't have the actual sales paper then they won't match it. I explain that I access the sales via this site and the store site so I don't have each and every sales ad. I explained that they have each sale paper at customer service desk if they need to look at it, but this evidently isn't good enough. Anyone else have the problem if they don't have the actual ad?

      • Sweet_innocent62

I have a copy of their policy and YOU DO NOT HAVE TO HAVE IT! They are to have the ads at the customer service desk! If you go to walmarts site they even tell you that…guess some employees just cant read!

        • mommyof1

I worked at walmart when i was 18.. so 10 yrs ago.. but back then you had to have the ad with you to price match..  i know its changed now – but it isnt the cashiers fault in many cases.. the managers NEVER even trained me on a register.. most cashiers are thrown out there to deal with problems themselves.. i even had managers lie to customers about policies so they wouldnt have to deal with them.. sadly, this is common practice.. at least where i used to work.  Sometimes managers, themselves, dont know the policy because the store manager desent enforce anything..  this is why i cannot stand going to walmart unless i need something my other local stores dont carry.

          • mommyof1

            doesnt* not desent..

      • JenLS

I swear I saw a WalMart commercial the other day that stated you don't have to have the ad. Maybe I was dreaming? :)

        • jinfinger

You did! I saw it also…I was told at my walmart they have all adds there. Every cashier should have a copy. They also have them posted thru out the store here. I think some cashier are just being PITA's about it.

    • Crystal

Just wanted to say that I was in my local walmart last night (Morehead City, NC).
I was doing alot of the price matching. I picked a cashier that I told would be okay, boy was I wrong. She didn't like having to adjust all my B1G1 items. Then I had two items that Walgreens had on sale, buy one get one 50% off. She just about exploded. She went and got a supervisor who was not on her side. she explained to her how to do it but she just didn't understand how to figure percentages. When I got home, I realized that even the supervisor got it wrong. I will be returning the item. And then, I had the nerve to hand her a pile of coupons. One was a get an item free coupon, which made it $19.75. You would have thought it was coming out of her pocket. The supervisor finally explained to her that she was going to have to get use to it. There was going to be alot of price matching. I saved $102.38 but it did take some time. The supervisor finally told the cashier to go take a break.
I just don't understand what the big deal is. They have to stand there anyway. What difference does it make how many coupons I have. I'm sure this cashier (like many others) couldn't even give change if the register didn't tell her how much. I will continue to price match at Walmart. They will just have to get use to me. It does take longer but
it's still quicker then running all over town. I live out on the coast and have to drive about an hour and fifteen minutes to get to Walmart. I plan to make the most of my town trips.

      • Sweet_innocent62

I was informed tonight that you can not do price match AND use your coupons on that item! They told me it is STACKING and they just watched video about it. I am going to corporate to make sure because to me that is not right. So you match the price..how is that a coupon. And thank god my cashier was plesant because I think i would have said something to her. She is getting paid to work, first, and second she isnt paying for the items! Go get those deals!

        • Sandy

I think a lot of stores are just confused. They get reimbursed for manufacturer coupons so, why would they care if you use a coupon when you price match?

        • not so lucky

I would like to see that video. b/c I`ve been at walmarts for 4 yrs. now. And we`ve always done pricematching & coupons(together). And on stacking, true, we don`t stack coupons. stacking is when you use a store coupon and amanufactures coupon,Walmart will not  allow that.

    • Cori C.

I usually don't have any trouble price matching at Walmart. But then, I normally have the ad with me. Well, I made the mistake of leaving the Publix greeen flyer in my car the other day when I wanted to price match the Nivea body wash for $3. The cashier would not take my word for it and I proceeded to politely remind her that the policy states that the customer does not have to have the ad in order to match…she called for a manager, etc. and she would not match it either. I had to leave the store, go out to my car, and come back in with the ad for them to match it. I was very frustrated.

    • Ckjohnson

Why don't you people just go to the store that is running the sale? You want them to just “take your word for it”. I'm sure when they made that policy they didn't know that people would take such advantage of it and have a cart load of items that were on sale at several different stores and a pile of coupons to go with it. I coupon also, but I would never expect a clerk who is making minimum wage to have to sort through a pile of coupons and sales papers from other stores just to keep me from having to drive around a little. Have some manners people!

      • Cori C.

FYI the reason I started price-matching is because “the stores who are running the sale” are always out of everything. Probably due to people without MANNERS who clear the shelves. Excuse me for expecting a huge corporation to abide by their own policy that they have spent millions advertising for! I do not take advantage of people OR businesses, thank you very much. I don't ever have a “cartload” of items with “tons” of coupons. My husband and I live child-free and only want one, maybe two of an item tops. I go to Wal-mart because they price match but also because they have enough stock for me to purchase my one or two items! Wow. just wow.

        • Luv_negus

I so agree with you! I'm going to my Walmart tomorrow to do the price match for the first time. I'll have my Ad with me but my husband said that next time if I don't have an Ad I should just print off the store pilocy and take it in with me when I go to check out. Thanks for standing up for your views!!!

      • JenW

WM's price match policy clearly states you DO NOT need to present the ad to price match.  They don't “have to take my word for it” – but they should at least have a copy of the ad so they can verify since I DON'T HAVE to have one (although I do try, sometimes I just forget).
Ckjohnson commented “I would never expect a clerk who is making minimum wage to have to sort through a pile of coupons and sales papers from other stores just to keep me from having to drive around a little”. — Well, our Walmart has signs EVERYWHERE in the store encouraging shoppers to price match, so they SHOULD want their clerks to be helpful w/ price matching – it's their JOB!!
I was going to price match school supplies at Walmart – the problem is that Walmart doesn't have the same size in stock that the other stores are advertising (Staples has 10 packs of #2 pencils for 10 cents, the smallest size that my WM has is 72 packs).

        • Chris

I would have to agree – if the store policy has specific stipulations like you don't have to have the ad with you then they should go by the printed/published policy.  Just like the policy doesn't state anything about price matching and not taking coupons on the price-matched item.  Expecting shoppers to accept the retailer won't adhere to their own policy is just insane.

        • not so lucky

In price-matching, it(the product) has to be the exact same product. It can not be a similar(like) item. On admatching & using coupons, you can do that. But please be courteous, and have it all organized with ad & coupons, b/c this makes it easier on you &the cashier, also other poeple in line as well.

      • Cori C.

p.s. And in this economy, that cashier better be ESTATIC to sort through my coupons and ads. Or she should be fired and someone who would be glad to just have a job should be hired in her place! JMO.

        • Ashley

I am a cashier at Wal-Mart and have been for over 10 years. I am also an extreme couponer. So speaking as a cashier and a couponer, it helps a lot if the shopper at least has it together and organized. When I shop and price match I keep all my items together and sorted. That way when I get to the register, it makes the check out experience very smooth and pleasant.

      • Rmfunk99

I shop at the store that is having the sale but most of the time they are out of product.  I go to Wal-mart and most of the time they have it in stock.  So I use the ad and coupons.

      • JenLS

For some people with a few kids in tow, it's not so easy to run to 3 or 4 stores to get everything. I appreciate what WalMart does. I also don't live so close to the other stores. I don't really think our manners are in question here.

    • T_s_rogers00

Just a thought for those who are going to jump to the price matching game…if we all go to Walmart for EVERYTHING, and no longer give the other stores our business, they will go out of business- creating no competition for Walmart- in other words monopoly pricing of products. If Walmart can jack the prices up to make a profit because there is no competition, they will. I do take advantage of the price match on occasion, but I drive by Ingles and Bilo to get to Walmart, so to keep the competitors existing (so there is competition to keep prices low) I will stop at the smaller stores and at least get the sales items before giving Walmart all of my money….

      • Cori C.

Well if the “other stores” want to stay in business, they should have enough product on the shelf. That is the number one reason why I started price matching everything at WalMart. Because I was so tired of every single week, Walgreens, CVS, and Publix to name a few are always out of the sale items. It is very frustrating. I don't plan my shopping trips just to get a stack of rain checks.

I went to Walmart today and was told that they are no longer taking the Tide $1.00 off ANY one detergent or the Cascade coupon on the trial size.  The coupon does not say excl trial size. I was told that it had to be used on what was in the picture and that they don't give back money. I did not have the policy on me so I just said ok take them off. I am not happy since it not been a problem till now. I was using the coupon as the coupon says. Who is right?  Should I call Walmart customer service?

      • Cjane822

here is walmart coupon policy: http://walmartstores.com/7655.aspx
if you read  at the bottom under guidelines and limitations 7th dot. u are allowed to get money back or have it applied to the remained total. And if the coupon dose not say excludes trail size you are allowed to use the coupon. And just to make sure you can use that coupon with that item look at the last digits of the barcode of both the coupon and item if they match you can use that coupon on that item.
         I hope this helps

      • Calpurnia78

like I said in my post, they make stuff up all the time. I think you should call..it doesnt have to match the photo..thats nonsense.

      • Mrscori2006

I was also beginning to think they were catching on to everyone using the coupons on the trial size. All 4 of my area Walmarts haven't even had the bin on the shelf for the last 2 weeks. (Cascade trial-size packs) I know the coupon doesn't specify a size, but they probably figured out they were paying each customer 3 cents for every pack. As far as what is in the picture, I thought the wording on the coupon was what they are supposed to go by.

        • jinfinger

I knew they were catching on also cause they did limit the amount to 4 which was totally fine. I would get them when I would go get our RX. Then yesterday they just went crazy! I am going to call today. I noticed the other day Target has the Cascade trial size for $1.09. If they are that worried about it you would think they would change the price. It seems to me that it is this one store in my area. I have talk to other people and they have not had a problem. I will call today and let you all know what the outcome is.

I have never been able to use the $1 off any p&g product coupon regardless of size restrictions at walmart. always beeps. frustrating. I just go to walmart for a few things now and rarely even bother with coupons. I'd rather drive to 8 stores than fight walmart.

      • JenLS

I had the same trouble one day with one cashier. She was super nice about it, but said she wasn't allowed to accept it for the trial size. I tried again on a different day, with a different cashier in a different age range and had no problem. I think the machine asks the cashier to verify the coupon amount. All they have to do is let the machine know it's valid. Some will, some won't. One cashier was excited because she had the same coupon at home.

      • Cyndi B323

        definitely!

      • Chris

I was just in Walmart tonight and they took the Qs but they are strictly enforcing the # Qs per transaction info from every single Q.  Two separate stores.  So I got them without too much trouble but definitely had to do more than one transaction. HTH.  Good Luck!

    • Calpurnia78

what happened to me at walmart was that I was told I COULD USE only one internet coupon during the transaction. I had 4 coupons printed off the internet – you are allowed to print ten from that site (the feed america thing) they told me I could only use 1..the same with the 4 other coupons I had for something else. It is NOWHERE in the policy and signs all over the store say we take internet coupons…the only thing the policy says it if you ahve more than 40 of one coupon the manager needs to be called…they pulled this policy out of their asses. I was so mad I went out of my way to go there.

      • not so lucky

what i would do(in your case), I would print a copy of the walmart coupon policy & take it with you the next time (if there`s a next time). And show that to your cashier. She(or he) might call a csm(manager) over to look at the coupon policy(that you`ve printed off). But, most likely  they will honor it. You can go to walmart.com &click on coupon policy & print it  off.

Well, after having a slightly frustrating experience the other day with not having my ad with me, I took 4 ads into Lovejoy, GA Walmart with me today: Walgreens, Publix, RiteAid, and Kroger. I had a GREAT cashier who politely matched everything and took all my coupons no problem. I saved about $50.00 with price matching and coupons. After my trip I called the store manager to tell him what a great job the cashier did. I think it is great that Walmart does this as my other area stores are always cleaned out by the first HOUR of the sale and they don't restock the rest of the week! Also this way I can get everything in one trip–saves lots of gas! :)

    • andy

I was wondering about the dates on this weeks walmart coupon deals.  Why do they run throught the 13th instead of just starting today, wednesday?

    • Mrscori2006

A manager told me today about the Cascade trial size packs at Walmart. The reason they are not being restocked is that there is a problem originating at the warehouse. Something about there is a sudden demand in that size that they could not meet.  LOL!  He said they have ordered like 500 of them but they haven't come in yet. This is the Walmart in McDonough, Ga. He said that lately they have been “selling a lot more  than they usually do” and “tons of people have been asking about those.”  The thing is, once P&G figures out that people are using the $1 coupon towards those, they may change the wording on the Q to exclude trial size.

      • jinfinger

Yes I am sure they will. A few months ago I remember most of P&G saying exclude trial size and not they are not. I would think they are aware of this. Our walmart is keeping them stocked but now not wanting to except the coupon.  I don't think they all are on the same page about it. Isn't that why they have a coupon policy?? lol

    • Crystal

Did you know that Walmart accepts competitor coupons?

      • Mrscori2006

They do only if a specific price is listed on the coupon. Like the ones from the Walgreens ads.

    • blondie1chic2007(Army_Wife)

I apologize if this has been asked before but I have looked and can not seem to find a exact answer. I”m new to the price matching and I have read some things that Walmart will price match the price after the Extra Bucks(CVS) or Register Rewards(Walgreens), can you please help me with this. Thanks

      • Destiny691966

My walmart said that they will match the price of any competitor as long as the do not have a loyalty card. That being said I have found them to be very perticular about the stores theyclassify as “competitors”. Your best bet is to ask the manager at your local store for a list or something as to what coupons they will take.

    • Destiny691966

I am getting so disheartened with walmart. Seems like they are just going straight down hill. They used to be the place to shop but these days you have to fight to get the good deals. Went to get my free tide packets, pronamel, and catfood. Got to the checkout and she would not take my coupons for the tide but did take the ones for the toothpaste. Niether one of them had a specified size but even the manager said no so I made them take it off. I never had a problem using them at Target so maybe I will go there instead. Walmart needs to get there shit together or they wont be all that big too much longer. Sorry just needed to vent.

      • shame123

Destiny I just went to my local walmart in Bartow Fl and the same thing happen to me with the free tide packets,my coupon clearly stated $1.00 off one Tide detergent, and because the coupon has a picture of a bottle on it they think  it has to be a bottle instead of a packet, they just not educated enough at Bartow Walmart , they staff need to be trained again. Any other walmart is no problem Bartow Walmart hardly has any customers anymore, they lost so many customers because of their coupon policy. I will not go there anymore.

      • Mrscori2006

I'm trying to figure out how can they not take the coupon when it clearly states, “any one Tide.” or, “any one Cascade.” The coupon does not specify a size, nor does it exclude trial size. I don't see how Walmart thinks they can take on the role of the manufacturer and decide that the coupon is not for that specific size

    • not so lucky

I toyally agree with destiny.  I went to the walmarts(close to my home). I had a q. for hunts pudding snacks(1.00 off 2 printable), and it wouldnt go thru. All my other qs. went thru but that one. And it should`ve went thru, b/c  it was a manufacture`s coupon. But the cashier said it wouldnt b/c it was a internet coupon. But it started with a 9.

    • AM

Athenos coupon is 1.00 off of 2. It will not be free.

I went today to my store and was quickly informed that they will only accept 1 printable Q for an item.  For example I was going to buy 2 of the Keebler fudge sticks with the 2 Qs I printed out (you know–2 prints per computer).  I told the cashier that I was allowed to print 2 per computer and she basically in a PQ way implied I guess that I had photocopied the second one.  She said they can't accept the second one because the numbers above the barcode were the same as on the first.  And I'm thinking to myself — well DUH!– the second coupon is for the same exact product as the first!  Am I missing some info or was the cashier feeding me a line of bull?  Funny though, I used 2 of each printed Q last week and they accepted all of them and none of them beeped!

      • Chris

She was feeding you BS.  The barcode to look at is the Veri-Fi code or PIN (depending on who issued the Q) in the upper right of the body of the Q.  Those numbers should never match on like Qs but the barcode to scan will always match (otherwise how does the computer know for Qs issued nationally for a standard product/promo?).

        • guest

Thank you!  I thought that was the case but I wasn't going to throw a fit in the store — even though I felt like it.  By the way, I went back today to use those ones she wouldn't let me use yesterday.  Had a much younger cashier and 2 PQs for an item and she said nothing of this to me and I had no problems using my Qs.  It's just frustrating to get 3 different stories in the span of a week and a half.

    • Cyndi B323

Guys, guys, guys….. maybe (likely) I am a b*tch but after talking many times to 1800walmart, district managers and regional managers, my store gives me NO HASSLES.  We know the Q policy and PM policy!  Print and always carry with you.  Stick to your guns; after all, it is THEIR policy and all WM are supposed to go by the same rules!

All coupons take words to match products.  Explain to the checker this and the picture is of the MOST EXPENSIVE version to promote selling that one.

After raising enough of a stink, all the CSMs know who I am and many of the checkers.  They all used to see me coming into the store and pull out their claws.  Not anymore.

We have the right to properly use coupons and price match, as per their policy.  I refuse to let them humiliate me!

      • Mrscori2006

        AMEN

    • Mamacita40

i read all the comments about Walmart, and I am getting frustrated myself, i do all my transaction there, cause the prices are cheaper, but lately, there been giving me a hard time, and follow me around the store, and been watch, I always bring money in case my transaction don't goes smoothly and plan, and current on my coupons and policy, the soon I enter the store, I had a dog wacthing me, I neve in my life steal anything, in case what they think, I feel, harrashment and humilliated everything goes to the store, I would like if you can helped me to give me the right directions to complained or do something, I loved Walmart, prices are unbeateable, there are getting  tough and the cashier  getting even worst with the attitude toward the patrons……the same give me a hard time with the tide and cascade only could used four and she owes me 24 cents, and she make me paid her fthe 24cents,

      • Guest

they only let you use 4 of the Cascade/Tide coupons because the coupon states “only 4 like coupons per order.”

    • dt2002

My walmart is always out of stock on sale items… replaced 3M tabs with a different brand….. increased the price of other products to not have any moneymakers, and would NOT let me use the Tide coupon for a trial size, even though it does not have a size restriction!!!   And my prices are higher, because I'm in a small town.  BTW, we did rate a Walmart Mega Center (don't know how we were so lucky??)  and the selection is very limited :(
