Re: Scrubbing bubble coupon. After registering and clicking “print coupon” the screen goes blank. No coupon comes up.

      • Anonymous

        Mine just printed.

    • Sdwells98

The Scrubbing bubbles coupons was also in the 9-11 smartsource insert.

    • Tbh0228

      • Vecobia

i got one and my zip is 32703

      • Tbh0228

        Thank you got it

    • Heidi

Heading to Wal-Mart early tomorrow morning to get my newspaper (hopefully with all of the inserts) and most of the above mentioned goodies!

      • Heidi

The Scrubbing Bubbles coupon is for the starter kit & at my WM it was priced $6.97 so I didn’t get them.  The Icy Hot Naturals was priced $3.47 or $3.88-nothing close to $1.00 so I didn’t get them either…did find the sponges but when the checker scanned the coupon, it made him stop and verify I got the right product-my sponges didn’t look like the pretty ones on the coupon-got the heavy duty sponges.  Not a very successful trip!

    • Rsharv

      Mine printed without problems

    • Natalie Alison

i cant find the o-cel-o.  can someone that has it post a link to it??

      • Tbh0228

        try zip 32703

      • coupons4kids

It was a bear to find on my zip.  I had to scroll through 5 pages under the household link!

    • Silkowski

I’ve been holding onto my $4 coupons that I got a few weeks ago.  The Wal-mart near my home was already sold out (They had a huge display yesterday) I’ll check a different Wal-mart tomorrow.  I wanted to say thanks for creating such a great website.  I’ve really stretched my meager budget in the last few weeks and it’s all because of everything I’ve learned here.

      • IG

I went to our local Walmart SC this afternoon.  The SB toilet cleaner was nowhere to be found in the store.  I’ll check again in the morning.  The actual “starter kit” sells for almost $10.  May be YMMV.

    • abby

      does walmart do rain checks?

    • Normaljohnson48

The $4.00 Scrubbing Bubbles is for the starter kit which is $6.47 @ my Walmart. The refills are $3.97.

      • Yuliyaporter

The  Starter  Kit  at  my WM  was $3.97 (was not  marked, but  did  for  that  price at  the  register)

    • Wolson91

O-cel-o sponges were $.50 at my local walmart on clearance! Bought 8 :)

      • Yuliyaporter

Cool, I couldn’t  find them  at my WM

    • Yuliyaporter

Just came back from WalMart  with  four Toilet Cleaners (had  4  coupons  from SS 9/11, didn’t  think  would  ever  get  to  use  them :))  If  not for  this  post  I  wouldn’t know  they are  on  sale, were not  marked , but  did  ring $3.97, so .03 profit :))  Am  excited  to  try  them out!  Couldn’t  find  2 count o-cel-o  sponges  though…

    • Anitalbernard

My Icy Hot coupon states that it excludes the 1-ct and .5oz Naturals.  Is there another coupon that you all are using?

      • Amanda

Mine says any/it doesnt have any exclusions on it.

    • Chbucchino

Ran out with my printed Scrubbing Bubbles and O’Celo coupons, grabbed an early edition Sunday paper from Kroger’s for the Cover Girl Q and hit the Wal Mart! Got the toilet cleaner, 2 – 2 packs of scrub sponges, a blush and a concealer and another Sunday paper and payed $3.61 for it all!!!!

    • Anonymous

My Home Depot had O-Cel-O sponges on clearance for 23 cents!  This was in Montgomery, AL–don’t bother trying the East Blvd location because they are out now.  It’s not all my fault. :-)

    • zebby

Ran out tonight to get the starter kits because I’m sure they will be gone tomorrow.  Almost didn’t get them because they were in the main aisle on a shelf, not with the cleaning products.  Thanks for this post. I needed those.

    • Robert37_1999

Ok i went 2 my WM and did a price check on them b4 i got 2 the register and it was $9.47 and refills were $3.47 im going to check another WM later. -Cary NC 27519

      • Jodi Vilcans

I just went to the WM in Wake Forest and they were $3.97 (the starter kit).

    • Candice

I saw on another site that it was the starter kits with the refill that worked. However, I did not see these at my store tonight while I was there. I will check back tomorrow. Hopefully they will be there!

    • zebby

I also found coupons inside the boxes with my toilet cleaner kits.  Two 3 dollar off starter kits and one b1g1 for refills inside each box.  Nice!

    • Suzy Payne

The Scrubbing Bubbles OSTBC was ringing up 9.00+ at my walmart.  I will check later at a different Walmart to see if they have them at a lower price.
Went to purchase the Cover Girl Blush and they were ringing 3.74 ea and the cashier said I couldn’t use the Qs.  I asked why not everyone else is using them at Walmart.
She went and asked a manager and the manager oked it.  I told the cashier that with the 98 cent O’Celo sponges that I would still owe her money after the difference of the Cover Girl purchases!  The blush will make great stocking stuffers for the girls in my family.  I bought 10 blushes.  And bought 4 O’Celo sponges.  My totel after Qs was 2.21  I saved 39.11.

    • Mywolfcubs3

man, i went down to walmart found everything and the stupid cashier refused to let me use the coupons. She said she cant let me use a coupon that is for more than the item. ughhhh!!!!

      • It says right in the policy that they are supposed to credit you any overage. They tried to give me problems about the $6 coups for the razors last week until I whipped out the policy I printed off :) I received the overage from those and every other coupon I had :) Took an $86 bill down to $22 with the help of those overages!

      • Sierra_26

print the coupon policy and go back!

      • Debyg127

I just got back from Wal Mart in Taylors SC and the CSM said they do honor them and I also got back change. The cashier that was checking me out said she couldnt do it either, but you need to speak with someone other than a cashier. I dont think they are all trained in the same manner……

      • Jacketfan24

I work for Walmart and the policy clearly states that they do allow overages.  My store keeps copies of the policies at every register but not all of the stores do.  The cashier was definately wrong!

    • Kim

I went with coupons in hand & had an awful experience.  None of the registers had local sales ads and the manager had to confirm the scrubbing bubbles were on sale for 3.97.  After waiting 20+ mins, (and a lengthy discussion between the cashier and manager – the cashier was the one being difficult – because my box stated “New” unlike the picture in the ad, the cashier didn’t want to honor it) I was told by that I could not purchase the 3 in my cart with 3 coupons (which clearly stated one coupon per purchase).  I’m not an extreme cpnr who walks away with hundreds of dollars of merchandise for very little (I’m tickled to spend $5 on $30 worth).  Be prepared to face similar problems.  I will be calling corporate :(

      • Mywolfcubs3

        I’m calling too!

      • Sue M.

I agree with you! I hate when all i want is a few items for my large household (5 boys) and ppl clear shelves! l!! so frustrating

        • Ultrabextr

2 shelf clearers in my little town…u can imagine how annoying it is for me w/8 kids!!!!!!!!!!!

    • Amanda

When you go to buy they Scrubbing bubbles you have to make sure to grab the box with the yellow strip on the right side.  There are those and the regular box.  Only the ones with the yellow strip are ringing up at 3.97.  I got the regular at first and then they manager explained and when I got the right ones there wasnt a problem at all.

    • KA

Walmart Canton, no stock available… they sold out last night? Walmart Woodstock… unclear – no one there knows if they have any? ugh…

      • Anonymous

I just came back from there.  The SB units were still in the cartons on a pallet. I opened the cartons and took what I wanted…four.  Used four coupons.  Four for free.  See you later.  The UPC is not the same as the unit that sells for $9.97 every day.  I don’t know what the difference is.

    • Farrah

The icy hot coupon doesn’t seem to be showing on internet explorer or firefox? Any suggestions?

      • MB

I couldnt get the Icy Hot either said all were gone :(

    • Rosepine Couponer

DeRidder,LA – Got 2 scrubbing bubbles from another customer who was checking out and had gotten the last case from the back… Whomever you were…. Thanks for giving up two! Also got two icy hot, and then other groceries (with coupons of course)… Saved 50% on the total…

    • Ithinkits2005

the scrubbing bubbles coupons is $4.00 on a starter kit not the refills

    • Leslie_mowles

The starter kit isn’t $3.97. The refills are. :(

      • Anonymous

The starter kit is also $ 3.97 in my area.

    • Wethedeans

None (yet?) in my stores in Bedford and Bonsack, Virginia. Booooo… I got up real early for that!

    • kristen

went to the walmart in orange city, fl and they had no problem doing a price override since they rang up 7.97.  had to call a manager but they were nice about it.  I also was able to get a price match at target, so if u have problems at walmart take the ad to target!!

      • kristen

oh and if u go to that walmart they were not on the cleaning aisle, on a display on the aisle where meats and cheeses are.

        • Cqueen1

Thank you for the heads up!

    • Went to two walmarts…. all gone.. wow that was fast!

      thanks for the heads-up!

      • Brenda

You are the reason others cannot find the scrubbing bubbles toilet kits. Please leave some for others who only want 1.

        • Candice

It  depends on how well the store is stocked. At my store they had several cases and  didn’t put any out until I asked for them and then my husband asked for them. I understand getting frustrated because I have been looking for items for weeks now, but you don’t know how well that store was stocked.

      • Scubagirl252003

Do you have 13 toilets?  No?  Oh.  Well then leave some others!

    • lizeth

I bought 20 newspapers and they all 5 newspaper inserts, but no p&g inserts :( if i can trade the covergirl coupons with something else that would be great. i have a lot of those inserts on the toys, i have the general mills inserts i would be willing to trrade for the covergirl coupons. plz email me at lizeth164343@gmail.com :D

      • Shopwithcoupons

I guess that is what you get for being greedy.  That would have given you 40 covergirl products.  Nobody needs that many.

        • Rudydoescakes

I didn’t get that many papers, but I am stocking up on the cover girl b/c that’s what my mom and sisters love to get as presents.  I am giving them each an entire makeup gift that will include the entire face for them.  I have 4 sisters, so including my mom that’s a lot of makeup I can get for just the cost of the paper.  Don’t be so quick to judge!

          • Shopwithcoupons

My problem is with people by that many of one thing and then I can find even one for me.  I understand stocking up but 40 is a little much!

            • Shopwithcoupons

              Cant

        • Datelinenbc

i bought 50 papers for the cover girl coupons  and it’s not greed if you have a wife and three late teen to mid 20’s daughters

          • Shopwithcoupons

Yeah, it is.  I have four sisters and my mom and we didnt get anywhere near that.  So your planning on getting 100 and if there is not any left for anybody else then ole well?  Thats greed.  Sorry cant convince me otherwise.

          • Amanda

You need to pre-order if you are planning on buying that much that way others can still get items for themselves.

          • Scubagirl252003

Still.  Nobody needs that many.  It’s people who clear the shelves and who stock up 100 lipsticks just because they were free- are why all the stores are getting sick of couponers and refusing to offer “genuine” help.  Coupons are to save you money- not fill your garage with 500 eyeshadows.  Get a life.

          • Newspapermafia

I get tired of hearing people complain because other people buy 20, 30, 40 papers. You could buy all you want as well. If the people spend the money for the coupons then they should be able to use them.

So should I get upset because Publix has the most of their stores in Florida and those are the only stores that Publix doesn’t double the coupons at? No stores double coupons in Florida on a regular basis. And I haven’t found a store on the east coast of Florida that will do preorders either. And I have checked Target, Publix, Winn Dixie and WalMart.

        • Dharvn

          wow…that was mean.

    • Rmystic30

love ur site thanks for the heads up on the cover girl..got 4 blushes 1 foundation&1 powder for 000 used my coupons at dollar general, a steal!!!

      • I am so going to have to try that because everything was so expensive at walmart and they wanted to argue about the blushes..our DG is kinda small and doesn’t get used much my luck they will have nothing LOL

    • Tami1674

Scrubbing Bubbles is $9.97 at Walmart in Inverness Fl. :(

    • Leslie_mowles

Am I not understanding this? The starter kit at walmart is $9.97. and the Refill is $3.97.

    • Carriekenos

I just got alot of CoverGirl eyemakeup for free @ my Wal-Mart in PTC,Ga. The CG eyeshadow is only $3.14 each so each of those $8/2 coupons give you an overage you can use on another product! Good luck! ;)

      • Wethedeans

3.14! Mine were 3.87! But I’m not really complaining, the 2 were still free!

    • Tryn2sav

I got the cover girl products. But I didn’t see the scrubbing bubbles at Walmart  Raleigh. I have the ad from sunday paper and on the shelf it says 9 something. and 3.97 for the refill. But the ad says 3.97 for the starter kit.

    • It says right in the ad it’s the starter kit that is on sale…The regular price is 9 something but I just took the ad with me in case they didn’t ring up right. the cashier called the manager over and said yes I got the right ones, and was suprised they were so cheap! Another lady in the line next to me was getting the same things so he asked if he could keep my ad for reference, got 6 for free. and they had a wholedisplay of them, they weren’t in the cleaning isle.

    • Anonymous

There seems to be a slight issue with the scrubbing bubbles kit.  I went to walmart and found 1 kit on the shelf and the guy went to the back to get another.  When I scanned it , it rang 9.97. I went to the register with the ad and they refused it. The supervisor said that it was only for the refill even after I pointed out that it was the complete system. After 15 minutes she  came back with the toilet wand kit and told me that was the one. After another lady and I informed her that she was wrong she went in the stock room and came back with the one with the words in red “Refill and free holder” and that rang 3.97. They are exactly the same, (I have both and compared) just different packaging. If you don’t see them ask them to check in the back for the ones with the red writing. Alot of stores do not have them out. I think this was a big mistake on Walmarts end.

    • Mac

I got one at Walmart…says “one step”right on the box. Usually $9 and it rang up at 3.97 and I had to pay just .26 sales tax!! None were on the shelf but a fellow working on that aisle went back and got me one. good deal!!

    • Rixie

I don’t know about you guys but i’m absolutely LIVID with the people at Walmart and them not knowing a damn thing about coupons and/or the sales that are going on in their OWN store.  My cashier wouldn’t accept my coupons for the O-Cello sponges because they didn’t look like the picture.  I told her the coupon was for ANY 2 -o-cello packages but she refused to let me use the coupons. On top of that, my store didn’t have any of the scrubbing bubble one step cleaners in stock, couldn’t give me an idea when they would be back instock and wouldn’t do a raincheck or anything.  Honestly, i’m so done with walmart.  They really need to get their act together NATION WIDE

      • barbara b

same here-longview tx-they just looked at me when i asked for a copy of the ad-no one knew they had one or if they did where they would be-left came home called back-they do not have them-the lady in groc was nice and really tried to help-i would say  all wal marts need  a  class on “i wonder where the ads are located?”

      • Syndilew

They wouldn’t accept my q for the sponges either.  Wal-Mart’s registers won’t accept qs for ANY product.  It won’t scan.  This is why I hate Wal-Mart.  I only went in to get the Scrubbing Bubbles kit and got some other things so that they wouldn’t owe me money because our Wal-Mart is awful about qs, I couldn’t imagine trying to get them to pay me money back.  I know that I will now price match at Target because I thought that this was going to be a straight forward transaction and it was nothing but a pain in my butt.  The cashiers don’t know what is going on, the managers don’t know what it going on, and a lot of the time corporate doesn’t know what is going on.  To the person that said that those of us that stop shopping at Wal-Mart leave deals for other people, I am saying that you can have all of the deals that Wal-Mart offers because they stink and I would rather be put in a piranha tank then deal with any of those ignorant people again!!!!!

        • Stephaniedarnell

I’m sorry you had such a bad experience with Wal-mart. Sounds like it might be best for you to avoid the store, if you get that angry – Stick with Target :) Hope your week gets better :0) Happy couponing!

    • Stacy

Super upset this morning.  I bought 2 papers from the news and obsever, like always. There was a redplum and smartsource, but not one P & G.  There is always a P & G in there.  This is just another case of stolen coupons.  I know it was because of the $8 covergirl coupons. That’s the main one I wanted.  I’m really getting tired of the coupon thefts.  I’ve already contacted the newspaper.

      • Haleonard2

I didn’t get one in the News and Obsever either, but I have my friends at work save a few P & G inserts for me for the diaper coupons (we get them in a local publication the Wednesday before they come out).  I will mail you a P & G insert if you don’t mind me cutting out the diaper and wipe coupon.  You can email me your address at haleonard2@yahoo.com.

      • Leah

go back to the store and tell them.  i was missing a red plum today and that’s what i did and they had no problem letting me get one.

      • Lizard

You are making an assumption that may not be correct.  Just because it is missing do not mean someone took it.  Sometimes they get skipped or the paper runs out of some inserts.  Rather than lay blame where there may not be any, perhaps you should just CHECK the paper before you pay for it!

    • Lisa Draven

I’m in Houston TX and I can not find the scrubbing bubbles coupon. ;0(

    • Lee

I just looked at the ad for the scrubbing bubbles and on the picture it says refill with free holder. So I guess the coupon is for the refill with the free bonus holder. It’s the box  with a yellow strip on the right.

    • Busterbrok

Went to Walmart today to get the Scrubbing Bubbles….SOLD OUT!!! So sad< I have several of the $4off Q's

    • Irene

Supposedly, the manager at the Walmart in Hialeah, FL took all of the items off the shelf and they are refusing to sell the scrubbing bubbles. When we complained to the manager, he brought us one per person and claimed he didn’t have anymore. However, when my sister went about 30 minutes later and complained to the manager one magically appeared for her. I think I’m going to boycott Walmart!!!

      • Lori M

I have to offer a different perspective.  I see nothing wrong with limiting the super sale to one per shopper.  The manager is showing respect for all super savers by not allowing one (or a few) shoppers to clear the shelves.  Food for thought; if you boycott Walmart, that just leaves more good deals for other shoppers.  Hopefully they will act responsibily.

        • Shopwithcoupons

I agree.  I think that should be done with the cover girl products as well.  People are getting crazy with it.

          • Anonymous

Or maybe like me I can not afford to buy namebrand makeup, and was tickle pink (thanks to my new blush) to get some namebrand for free, just like the next person who probably did, because most couponers are not rich and just looking for the next deal………..

        • Kari

I do agree with setting limits, but hey, wait a minute, there are different factors to look at…for example, family size…someone with say nine kids would probably need more of almost any item then a family with two children.  Many people want to jump to conclusions and judge but they really don’t know the situation.  I get just as frustrated as the next person with shelf clearers (Harris Teeter on super double or triple is my nemisis now!) but be careful putting everyone into the same boat…you don’t know the needs of everyone!

          • Anonymous

Amen to you Kari, same thoughts as me on this subject!

    • I did the scrubbing bubbles thing this morning someone had hid some I got one..but it took forever to get them rung up right and then to use the coupon it was horrible!!!

    • Ana

I have a picture of what the one on sale looks like but how do I get it here?

    • Jancrews

the scrubbing bubbles starter pak is 7.97  the refills are 3.97 at our walmart

    • Jess

I just got home from walmart, I go to the one in Georgetown, Delaware. The toilet bowl cleaners were 9.87, so I didn’t get them and the makeup, I wasnt able to find the blush. I ended up getting 8 covergirl eye shadows that were 3.44 a piece. They ended up paying me 4.48.

    • Meshell

I wonder if different locations get different salespapers. I went to my Wal-Mart, and the salespapers they have on the counter don’t have all the sales that the one I got out of the newspaper had. It was the same front, but part of the insides was not the same. Not missing pages, just different salespapers. The Scrubbing Bubbles One Step kit was not in it. Nor was it in my store. They had the usual $9.97 one, but not the one in the pic that is some kind of promotional deal for $3.97. Odd…….

    • Anonymous

went to my local walmart around 11am this morning for scrubbing bubbles. The tag on the shelf said 3.97 when I get to the register it rang up 6.97. My family was waiting in car(we had to be somewhere & i was hoping this would be a quick stop) the cashier says the mngr will have to come over & override so I just asked her to take them off & I will try later when I have more time. Sometimes walmart drives me a lil crazy!

      • Pam, that is why I always take my sale ad with me.  That way there is no question.  They have to follow the sale circular.  It has gotten me out of so many cash register issues.  Just saying.

thanks u are right! i’m going back tomorrow hopefully it will be better ad in hand!

    • Kkwilliams83

I can’t find the scrubbing bubbles coupon in the SS insert. I’m in Cobb County GA, anyone else having this problem?

      • Meshell

I’m in Alabama. Mine wasn’t in our SS insert either. It was back a couple weeks or so ago though. Plus, Jenny put a link to a printable one. You can print two. Hope this helps.

    • Jancrews

ok just saw the ad…going back to walmart…

    • Teri

I have a solution to everyone’s problem. GO TO TARGET! I didn’t even tried going to Walmart. As soon as I saw the ad in my paper, I headed to Target. And to make the deal even sweeter, I priced matched the Kit that was originally 9.99 to 3.97 and got the refill at 3.99. I spent 1.98 and got a $5 Gift Card.

      • I didn’t know Target priced matched…

      • laura

I did the same thing and incredibly there was only ONE left on the shelf. Mine also had coupons but I’m heading back on truck day to get one more!

      • laura

Teri- how did you get a $5 gift card?

Great Wal-mart trip this am. Got 6 scrubbing bubbles kits and 4 Cover girl blushes. Cost -.12 paid to me!!

    • Anonymous

I was able to get the scrubbing bubbles. We went to 2 different walmarts, at the last store there was none on the shelf so my boyfriend asked a worker if they had any in the back and she said yes and went and got them for him. When we checkouted at they rang up as $9.97 but I saw the cashier the ad and she price matched it and when I give her my coupon. She then realized I got them for free and asked me where I got the coupon. I told her where and then she asked me if I could come back to do her shopping (hmm thinking about opening a business doing that). and then I told her to got on SOUTHERN SAVERS and she would get all the information she needed to learn how. I love this site and even more when I can spread the word about the site. Thanks Jenny for all you do.

    • Candice

Spent (subtotal before tax) $50.69 worth at walmart for (negative subtotal) -$1.31. I only paid part of the tax at $2.74. Got 4 covergirl blushes and 9 scrubbing bubbles toilet bowl cleaner starter kits! I went to three walmarts and finally asked for them. They said someone had already got them off the shelf (I don’t know where since there wasn’t a spot for them) but the manager went in the back and brought me a case. They also put more on the shelf. I have never bought so much of one thing at one time! I am glad they had plenty. I was also asked by the cashier “Where do you get your couipons.” Can’t wait to get the deals at CVS this week too!

Shelf clearers make me sick… Couponing is so everyone can save, not so some greedy person can show off their stock pile closet.

        • Candice

I am NOT a shelf clearer nor have I ever been! I did not just shop for myself! Plus, there were several cases still in the back! I drove all over town to find this deal! I was the one that got them to even put them out. KEEP your negative opinion to yourself! You do not know me! I have been kept out of several deals from ‘shelf clearers’ myself. I would have broken the sales up btwn stores and days, however, this store had PLENTY in stock! As I stated, I have never bought this much before in my life of one deal. I will not be keeping more than two or three for myself and I have two bathrooms. WHO ARE YOU TO JUDGE!

        • Candice

Have you never helped someone?! And, I don’t get many deals because I have no stores that double or tripple near me! Even if I was keeping them all, so what! With one income, children and lots of expenses, you take the savings where you can get them!

        • Anonymous

Don’t know her,but she did just say they put more on the shelf,so she didn’t clear it and maybe just maybe she is helping others just like me. I just pledged to never clear a shelf again, and did only once and that was on hand soap 5 days after a sale had been going on. Plus I do share with my whole family and friends,I give stuff away to help them. That just might me what she done, I guarantee most of everyone on here,if there were say 2 left and you had 2 coupons, you would take them both and not leave one for someone else. You are just crictizing people who buy 20 or more, but look at the bigger picture, just have people hopefully pledge to not clear shelves, whether there’s 20 or 2. I for one plan to from now on,unless theres someone else I am getting for and there is only 2! I will not just take it if like on a toilet bowl cleaning kit and I have no one who can use it. We can all learn and need to learn to share with everyone and quit petty name calling and bashing someone who got a darn toilet bowl cleaning kit and we didn’t.,because we will probably next time get the bathroom scrubber and they won’t,be happy on someone’s good fortune who isn’t like the people on that show, not all of us are!

Stick to your guns.  The ad says ONE TIME offer, not just one.  The picture with the yellow stipe is no different than the box with “New” in the upper right hand corner.  Everything else on the box is the same.  It has 18oz dispenser and refill like the “picture”.  ALL the wording is the same and if it walks like a duck, it’s a duck.  It IS the same.  Look at your stockpile at some of your “boxed” products.  You will see differences in packaging because they use a little different package at different packing places.  IF Walmart will not let you have them for $9.97, please get the name of the cashier and the manager.  Report them.  Call Johnson and they will verify it is the same.

I went this morning and didn’t buy because I saw the price and didn’t think to get an ad.  There was a HUGE display in the aisle.  After thinking about it, I went and picked up the ad in the store (5 min away).  The display was gone.  Imagine that.  There was a shelf with some and I got two.  Got to the register and asked if I was going to have a problem with the ad and she said there was NEVER a problem with the ad.  Rang them up (over-ride) for $3.97 with no questions asked(they did ring at $9.97).  Handed her the coupons and she said she couldn’t accept them without “manager approval”.  As she walked off I told her if manager X was on duty to tell her it was XX asking.  lol.  She was gone approximately 4 minutes (as the line backed up), rang them at $4 each and I paid $.73 which was tax.

I HATE WALMART AND ONLY BUY SPECIALS LIKE THIS.  The last time I was in the store, I had the $4 off Monoply, etc games and bought CARD GAMES and the cashier REFUSED to take the coupons saying it was for BOARD GAMES.  I said it wasn’t and I had used at Kmart the day before and they actually SCANNED with the card game.  Went to Manager came back and said MANAGER said she couldn’t take them because they were for board games.  Came home, sent an email to complain then went to Walmart by work the next day and bought two with the coupons and they SCANNED.  Manger called me that week and said since she didn’t know the cashier she didn’t know what to say.  I told her to say what she felt was appropriate and she said POLICY WAS POLICY.  I informed her the cashiers could TRY to scan before making judgement calls.  If the coupon SCANNED, I had the item and they got their money plus their carrying fee.   I also told her I went to another store the next day, bought two and the coupons scanned and I paid $1.24 each.  I told the the cashier never questioned the coupon and scanned it.  She said she didn’t know what to say.  I told her she just gave me another reason to never shop at Walmart and to tell them so.

I broke that promise today.  I went to THAT store this morning, they finally had the Schick dispos for $1.97, bought 8 and used 4-$6/2.  I did buy (I learned this trick) 6 cans of Green Giant Corn, 4 cans of black beans for soup and paid $3.24.  SIGHS………WHY?   Cashiers are different.

    • Raecharles

The Icy Hot coupons are out.

    • Lisa

My walmart had the one step toilet bowl cleaner but it was 9.97. How do i get it free with my coupon and who has it for 3.97 so i can have them price match.

      • Candice

Ask someone to get them in the back of the store. That is what I had to do. They didnt put them out till we asked for them. Make sure to show the ad to make it easier for the employees/manager to know it is not the one on the isle. Hope this helps!

        • Leah

I had to talk to a manager and he still didn’t understand what i was purchasing he kept saying the 3.97 was for the refill.  I kept showing him the add and that it was for the system he still didn’t understand.   He was really nice though and told me he would give me the 9.97 for 3.97.  I did tell him if he could show me the one in the picture i would buy that, which is the one i had in my hands, but he was like no just tell the cashier to give you this for 3.97.

    • Felicia

as an FYI Walmart cashiers are instructed to give the customer the benefit of the doubt within a $5 difference. Its supposed to be a judgement call a cashier can easily make and are told/taught to give it to the customer. Also an item doesn’t need approval from a manager unless they are discounting the product more than 50% of what its ringing. I used to work for one of their stores and believe me as much markup as these products have (even when they go on sale) the profit made on them is HUUUUGE. Knowing this and knowing that most other associates who work there no this, it still baffles me that there is such a huge mess when it comes to price matching/coupons for a company that preaches nothing but accepting competitors and the customer is always right. I hardly ever shop there ever anymore and now complete 95% of my grocery shopping at Publix who gladly accepts all competitors and coupons with no hassle whatsoever, such a nicer shopping experience!! Way to go Wally-World.

Ugh, i went to walmart in renton washington bright and early to get two scrubbing bubbles. When i got to the aisle, i saw this lady take all of it from a worker and heard her say ill be back for 13 more later when you get more. I was so pissed because she got so much and so early! Which means no one else was able to get any.

      • Maria

This upset me also.  I was very thrilled to see Proctor Gamble add a new rule to their coupons.  It says “Limit of 4  per shopping trip.”  There is no reason for people to be so greedy!!!

    • Anonymous

My scrubbing bubbles starters had a coupon for a free refill WYB the kit!!!!! Plus, it had more scrubbing bubbles coupons.

    • Julietaazul

Is this offer good the entire week or is it ONLY FOR TODAY??? since the AD says: “one time only” ????

      • It is good for the entire week as long as the item is in stock. One time only deals mean no rain checks and when they are out, they are out. HTH… also… I posted a comment above about the difference in packaging which might help too. Good luck!

    • claudia

The scrubbing bubbles over here in gainesville ga at my walmart was $10 to bad it was not the price it says on here!!

      • Amyb

At my Walmart there are 2 different packages, but same product. One is $9.47, the other is $3.97.  Look for the one with the yellow band down the side with red writing on it. It was on an end cap. It matches the picture in the Walmart ad. Ask them if you don’t find it, or ask for a manager to price match the other one.

    • wellers_97

I got 5 of the scrubbing bubbles tonight!  Just an FYI inside the package there are some great coupons…$3 off the kit making it .98 this week and buy one get one on the refills!

    • Scrubbing Bubbles One Step Starter Kit is $9.47 each. The refills are $3.97 each at  Wal-Mart in my Area-Athens, Elberton, Anderson, and Hartwell, Georgia. Would like to know where this deal is available?

I got 2 of the scrubbing bubble cleaners..the price was listed on the shelf but rang up correctly at the register…also grabbed 2 blushes..the eyeshadows arent on sale here. The travel size icy hot naturals arent even at this walmart which was a pity.

      • Srgordon

I saw them in front of the pharmacy hanging on hangers

    • Candice

What is the point of sharing our good fortune on deals if everyone is going to be so negative! It makes you not want to share Even the tips on where and how to get/find things!

    • scrubbing bubbles are over $9.00 so it is no free

      • walmart has them on special one-time-only for $3.97.

      • Stephaniedarnell

Deborah…I was so sad :( Our Wal-mart in Panama City, FL had them on an endcap for $9.97 each! I was disappointed.

        • yeh i m in chipley, same story here

    • Have ya’ll checked this week’s circular in the Sunday paper?  that is where it is.

Our Walmart still had theirs on the truck to be unloaded overnight.  We will be there early in the morning.

But we did get 4 eyeshadows & 2 blushers at $3.49-$3.79 so with the overage and the coupon for Scott toilet paper, we got 6 cosmetics & 12 roll pkg of scott for $4.83.  My daughter was dancing all the way to the car!

    • Stephaniedarnell

Saved a LOT of moola at Wal-mart today – even if I didn’t get the toilet cleaner… If I keep couponing, I may have enough saved for someone else to clean my toilet :D Thanks Southern Savers!! :)

    • JenneyG

Using $8/2 covergirl coupon on eye shadow and blush is a waist. Those plastic cover looks so cheap. You can have much better products at drug store when they have buy one get one 50% off with reward.

    • I live in East TN and wanted to give some information about the scrubbing bubbles deal everyone might find helpful. First, there are two package types. The package with a yellow box in the top right hand corner that says “NEW”  is ringing up for $9.97. This is the package that has the coupons everyone is talking about inside. The package that is ringing up $3.97 has a large yellow strip all the way down the front right side. This package does not have coupons. It is the one pictured in the ad. Although I am guessing I would probably say that the manufacturer gave Walmart a special deal on this particular package and it has a different UPC code b/c of the coupons being in there vs. not being in there. I went to the Walmart in Bristol, TN and the manager was aware of the packaging difference and said they had already been cleaned out and she would not do a price match on the different packaging even though its the same product. I left and went to the Walmart in Kingsport, TN. Of course, the correct packaging of this item for the sale was nowhere to be found. I could not find an employee to help me. I went to the cashier and stood and line and asked her about it when I got up to the front. She said “everything we have is out”. I said  “I know you have been trained to say that but please call a manager over.” When the manager came I took him to the aisle and explained the difference in packaging. As I was explaining this, another woman came up and started to pick up the wrong boxes. I politely stopped her and explained the difference to her. Lucky for me she was a couponer as well!!! Between the two of us we got the manager to look at the picture in the ad and scour the back for boxes of the correct item. He brought several boxes to us and gave us the number we needed. He apologized several times and said he wanted us to leave happy and he was so glad he found them but he would have price matched the other packaging.

The fact that the ad says “one-time deal” means that Walmart will not issue rainchecks. I would assume they have discontinued this packaging and that’s why Walmart was able to pass on such a good deal. i.e. manufacturer wanted to get rid of the ones without coupons so Walmart got them for cheap vs. the other packaging. Price matching the other packaging can be argued either way. Although it is technically the same PRODUCT, the packaging is different and does not include the coupons which gives Walmart the right to limit their sale to that package type. This could be seen as a “dirty” practice but if they got one package type for a totally different price than the other I don’t blame them for limiting the sale to that package type.

This whole thing seems like its been an aggravation to a lot of people and Walmart should have either pulled the incorrect packaging from the shelves or each store should have a special display with information explaining the difference where both items are located. But that’s corporate America for you! My best advice would be to be polite but pushy and explain the package type difference if your manager doesn’t understand in the terms I explained it. If you find the right person they will help you! Hopefully you guys will find a good manager that is willing to price match if the store has been cleaned out.

      • Amanda

I got the ones with the yellow strip down the side  and mine had coupons in them.

        • Isn’t that crazy? That’s the only thing I could think of as the difference… there weren’t coupons in any of mine… :-(

          • Amanda

Yeah, I know.  I didnt see any difference in the two either.

      • Silkowski

I went to my Wal-mart looking for them and couldn’t find any.  Then I found out where they went. I later saw two ladied giggling their way through check out with 20 of them.  I’ve never been so angry.

      • Edoylesc

What ad is this sale price in? Is it a walmart ad?

      • Braysmom

I ended up getting one that originally was $9.97 and it didn’t have coupons in it.

      • Anonymous

Mine had the yellow stripe had coupons and rang up 3.97

    • savings4kids

Well, it seems as though I am one of the few who had a good experience at Walmart this morning. They only had 3 of the scrubbing bubbles on the shelf and only 1 box, I hadn’t read all these postings so I didn’t know there were 2 boxes. Went to the register, they rang up at 9 something, I showed the cashier the ad and with no questions asked she did an over ride and gave it to me for the 3. I only bought 2, one for each toilet in the house. And I got 2 blushfor the $8 coupon. It was a great way to start my day! Walmart can be tough to work withbut I really think a lot of it depends on the cashier and you get that anywhere you go.

On a seperate note, I wish so many “couponers” wouldn’t clear shelves but sadly there are a lot that do. I have a lot of allergies and once I really needed a medicine that was all sold out because it was a great deal that week. I had a need and I couldn’t get it. My son can only use 1 specific laundry soap, only 2 batth soaps that he won’t break out to and many other allergies we have to deal with. It is very upsetting to me when these very much needed items are sold out. Sure stores should keep more in stock but if someone comes in and takes 20 at a time, they can’t keep up! I wish more stores were like CVS and used cards so they could flat right out limit what each person can get.

      • Anonymous

I think all of us regular couponers need to agree, don’t clear a shelf even if you have 20,make sure there are plenty left for the next person, don’t not leave something and I don’t mean just one or two. Then maybe stores won’t take our coupons away permamantly. We all want to save money,so I hope all regular couponers will make this pledge not to be extreme out of control couponers! I for one will promise from now on.

    • Ashley Powers

I got the ones with yellow stripes down the side and there were coupons in the boxes.

      • ANA L.

        Same here.

      • laura

I was able to price match at Target (the box without the yellow stripe) and found some coupons in it. However I need to go to Walmart and get a rain check because every Walmart and Target are out in my area :(

    • HomeschoolingCouponingMom

First of all, thank you Jenny for all you do- you’re awesome! Just wanted to say that so you didn’t think this complaint was directed at you…lol. Our local Wal-Marts make it where it’s not worth trying to get the freebies. I tried getting the sample pack of Cascade a few weeks ago using the $1/1 from PG. The coupon obviously states “ANY Cascade” and the cashier wouldn’t let me use the coupon. I was in a hurry, so I just had her void the Cascade. I really, really wish stores would train cashiers better.

    • Jessica

I went to my local WalMart this evening thinking that perhaps I had missed out on the Scrubbing Bubbles. They did not have any of the advertised ones on the shelf at all, only the regularly priced kit. There was one of those on the shelf and they were willing to price match it for $3.97. When I went to check out the cashier was refusing my coupon for $4 because it was for more than the item. After a couple of minutes discussing the coupon policy two more cashiers came over and repeated that I could not use the coupon. I asked that they give me back all of the items so I could go over to customer service to check out and they finally relented. In the morning I am going to call and discuss the matter with the manager. I wish all the cashiers were aware of the coupon policy because it is really frustrating to be treated like that.

      • Addiescouponingmom

I have had a similar experience. I was pricematching a toothbrush, and with the coupon it would be free. And they refused it. They also refused a couple of other coupons that would make the items free with overage. One of the CSM’s actually said “But that will give her money back!!!” And I politely said, “Well, yes. You are allowed to do it!! It says in your policy that you allow overage. And in your Price Match Policy, it does not say that you cannot use a coupon on top of a price match!!”

I actually called corporate in the parking lot, and she said it is at the stores discretion of what they except, but she agreed with me that this particular store was acting a little picky in what they would except!!

Why have a corporate wide policy, if each store can make up their own rules?? Ugh, it frustrates me. So now I rarely shop at Walmart with coupons, unless it is a SUPER deal!!

        • Jmgregory_99

          Welcome to WalMart.

      • Braysmom

According to the ad, it was supposed to be on sale starting Sunday, but when I went in I was told it was going to start Monday. Okay, so I went back this morning and could not find them. I finally found an employee and asked where they were and he said “we do not know, we have lost them. We think they are in the back somewhere.” I finally talked to a CSM and she agreed to let me have one off the shelf, which were now in the stockroom, for the ad price. When I went to use my coupon, they said NO because that would give me money back. Of course when I told the cashier the stores policy all I got was “no, we do not accept coupons that exceed the purchase price”. I told her “okay, then I will go home and check to see if that is the policy.” This cashier got so mad she took the coupon, beat the amount of it into the keyboard, ripped the receipt off, and practically threw it at me. I just stood there shaking my head. I was going to pay for it and come back later if I had read the policy correctly.

        • Anonymous

Oh my gosh I really feel for all you on here with horror stories over a toliet cleaning kit,but it has given me some laughs this morning. My advice have some other items that exceed your total that you need anyway, and they won’t give you a problem most of the time mind you….

    • Addiescouponingmom

Did the ad with the $3.97 One Time Only deal come in today’s paper?

    • Susie

I don’t think the yellow stripe has anything at all to do with it.  I’ve had coupons many times the packaging in the picture was different than what I bought and it rang up.  Some say the yellow stripe didn’t have coupons some did.  So, what is the difference?  I think IF there was, the yellow stripped one would say SPECIAL OFFER on the box.  I’ve seen that many times before.

Look at the video of the INITIAL RELEASE of the product.  The package doesn’t have “New”, doesn’t have a stripe and only has the writing about the “One Step” in the BLUE stripe.  The writing below isn’t on it.

However, I did find out that Johnson’s had a special in September where they offered a FREE one for them to be rated if you went to their website.  They sent it to be used and then wanted you to rate them.  I think POSSIBLY these had the yellow stripe and were identical.  I don’t know if they changed their mind or offered to sell the extra’s to Walmart for a special deal.  However, not all Walmart’s received them, IMO.  Because of the wording of the ad they will HAVE to sell you the $9.97 one for that price UNLESS they state SPECIAL MARKED PACKAGES FOR $3.97.

WARNING;  IF YOU HAVE SMALL CHILDREN IN YOUR HOME, I WOULD NOT ADVISE USING THIS SYSTEM.  YOU ARE DOING NOTHING BUT GIVING YOUR CHILDREN THE OPPORTUNITY TO GET INTO CHEMICALS THAT COULD BE HARMFUL AND TRUST ME, KIDS GET INTO EVERYTHING.  THINK ABOUT IT.

    • Toyota310

What the stripe is it tis telling you refill plus free holder. That is where the confusing is. It is a special promotion the box is really a refill but they are giving you the holder free. that makes a complete kit. That is why the price is what it is and the barcode is different they are charging you a refill price. So the box wiht the yellow stripe is a promotion.

      • BAandScootersMom

and it is a one time deal, when the supply is gone there will be no more.

    • Princessluv32

I didn’t see the scrubbing bubbles when I went lastnight however I showed the paper to a worker & he showed me where they were. These did not have the yellow stripe (the guy said he hadn’t seen any like that and he works stock) and rang up for 9.97. When I showed the ad to the cashier she didn’t say anything she just did an override to the 3.97 price.

Great day at Walmart!!!!  Eyeshadow, Mascara and 2 toliet sets for FREE!!!

      Thanks Jenny!!!

      • Brjb579

Did I miss something??? How’s the mascara free???

        • Amanda03910

I am wondering the same thing… I did stock up on Blush though I could have used some mascara!!

          • Princessluv32

The coupon said “any face product”, I assumed that it included mascara too. Cheapest one is 4.24 plus the 3.14 eyeshadow….so yes they were free!!!

            • Brjb579

I was wondering that as an afterthought! Wasn’t sure if face product only meant blush, foundation, powder, or concealer. I guess I should have figured the eyes are part of the face right??? LOL!! You never know how picky the stores will be with the wording of a coupon though!

            • Anonymous

Yeah I figured play it safe to,because you know they would say something if you got the eye make up,I just decided to play it safe…. LOL even though my eyes are on my face last time I checked.

    • SouthATLrealestate

Have any of you lovely coupon people heard that WalMart is now considering to no longer accept printable coupons?  I had to challenge a cashier a couple of weeks ago.  I asked for him to point out in their policy where it states that and he then gave in.

      • Lorannclark

At one of my local walmarts, the cashier did the same thing a few months ago.  I called the store and spoke with a manger who know nothing about it.  Check the bottom of your receipt.  Mine always says “we gladly except internet coupons” at the bottom.

      • Anonymous

oh my.. the cashier last night at the rincon ga walmart gave me such an attitude about my coupons.. even debating me and my husband about printing them with the “correct” printer.. my husband is an IT guy and works on printers so i think he knows a thing or 2 about them, but she was completely ignorant.. she was demeaning towards me and told me that the coupon policy had changed.. according to walmart online it hasnt..  why are walmart cashiers so difficult.. and I only had 2 coupons!!

      • SlackyAsherz

I work at Walmart and I was told that the internet coupons are welcomed, they just have to scan. If the cashier can not get them to scan, then they can not accept them. Should not matter what printer, as long as they scan.

    • eelrod

Not a bad day at Wal-Mart. Found a penny – got blush for free – an insulated lunch bag for $1 with $15 dollars of coupons (Scotch tape, Dole, Dannon, etc.) included inside! No scrubbing bubbles though. Oh well. :)

      • Lphillips

What brand is the insulated lunch bag? I going to look for one with all the goodies in it. Thank you for your post

Obviously you looked in the wrong place, don’t you know they are not in scrubbing bubble boxes? Shoot you need to look in Pine Sol boxes and Febreeze boxes, that’s where I found someone had actually HIDDEN TOILET CLEANING KITS ,can you believe that? Well,I guess lucky for me,I looked down in the pallet boxes! I mean come people, that is so dumb,do you really need to hide Toilet Cleaning kits? You must really want clean toilets is all I can say. Just next time eelrod, try Pine Sol Boxes or Febreeze if you can’t find them, chances are that’s where they will be.

    • Olisa56

I am so frustrated….I have been through the P&G insert like 10 times and I can not find any $8/2 covergirl.  I get the Charlotte NC Observer.  Can anybody else verify that it was or was not in the insert here in my area????

      • Olisa56

Okay, so of course I finally see it….oh my goodness I need to drink more coffee I think…..Thanks,

    • KT

I kind of have to laugh at people when they are saying they are out of work, on a one-income family, etc and “drove all over to 3 different walmarts” to find the toilet kits…they are saying any savings help – but how much gas are you wasting to get something that you could essentially just use a normal cleaner and clean the toilet with yourself? I am all about trying to save money with our one-income family too, but seems like that’s a lot of time/gas/effort for a freebie!

      • no kidding.  my husband has been out of work for two months and is our only income. I look for freebies on regular shopping trips, ie milk meat etc but if they arent there i am definitely NOT driving all over for them.

      • Anonymous

Exactly one income family here to,and would only drive to close wal mart for a toliet cleaning kit,not if it was food, and have to be several items or one we would use now,and I would drive or go with mother in law if she was headed out to our walmart that’s 15 minutes away, otherwise ,I have more brains than that!

I don’t see it. Which site did you use to print the Robitussin? Thanks!

        • Princessluv32

          Nevermind…just found it!

    • Dawn

Where in Walmart are the Robitussin To Go packs?  I’ve checked in the aisle with all the other Robitussin products, as well as the travel section.

    • Ccory0626

I didn’t think to take the add and ask to price match but I went ahead and bought it for the $9.97 that was listed ($-4.00 coupon) and I still felt like it was a decent deal.  Of course now that I know they will price match, I’ll go back later today and pick up a 2nd one for our other bathroom.  Thanks :) On another note…why would you clear a shelf on toliet cleaners? Do you have 20 toliets in your house?  Please tell me you aren’t giving toliet cleaners away as gifts.  ;)

      • CouponDiva16

Any cleaning product makes a great gift.  I rather have that than another present that will gather dust.  Just saying.

      • i never have enough to get 20 but i would love it if someone would gift them lol.  I hate holidays when you get junk you dont need that you end up regifting.  i like practical things…

      • Cnoelstory

I give things like this away as wedding gifts i will add a bunch of freebies in a paper bags and a gift card to get more stuff or to go out and eat.

      • Ccory0626

Sorry, but I’m not sure I’m buying this.  Kudos if you get 20 and give them as gifts but I don’t think it’s the way most people do it.  I agree with stores putting a limit on items.  I find it ridiculous that people think they need 20 of anything at one time.  I haven’t been couponing long but it’s been long enough that I can see a trend that most items will come around again.  I don’t need to get 20 toothbrushes at one time because in two months…I’ll get more.  JMO.

        • Anonymous

U can though on the other hand give items away that you would not use, most schools would gladly take free toothbrushes. Also overseas soldiers would like some to. I have gotten 20 of something( hand soap and dishwashing),I put my stuff in mother in laws basement for all of our family members to feel free to go down and use. And I have given other stuff away to friends. Such as I will the toilet kits. I plan to keep two, give one to mil and 2 to sister in law,and others to a friend. I like being able to help others who might not be able to get to the store and find good deals. I have a friend who is legally blind, and I 99% of the time, make sure I can find her good deals. Or give her some of what I have, because she can’t see to get coupons online or find the items at the store. I do not believe in keeping it all for yourself. And the lady who on the new couponer show who when the guy asked if she took them all, what would it have hurt for her to give him what he needed,he didn’t look like someone going to buy 1000,gee,that’s the ones that give us regular couponers a bad name…..

    • Dawn

Ccory…I know here in Florida..the “shelf cleaners”  are going from store to store grabbing great deals or freebies and then taking them to the flea market to sell.  It is so frustrating!  A lady I spoke with at CVS told me they actually hire several people to go around getting the products for them.

      • Ccory0626

I live in Florida also Dawn…but have not been to a flea market in years.  That’s utterly ridiculous.  I did notice that some of the products I buy at CVS had a new sticker on them that states should only be sold at CVS.  I figured someone was reselling the products.  It’s really sad that people go to this extreme.  I started couponing about 6 months ago to help with grocery expenses for our family of 6.  I am really disappointed in people that abuse this.  It makes it hard for those of us that do it honestly.

        • Dawn

I totally agree…I started couponing  around the same time as you, just to help out the family.  I just want one, maybe two.  I think the show Extreme Couponing really has an influence on some people and unless you are pulling up to donate at a food bank or other charity….I think it’s crazy!   It ruins things for the rest of us. People should be more considerate of others before clearing the whole shelf just to say look what I got for free.  I mean, who needs 50 bottles of hot sauce?   One would last me a lifetime  lol

    • Clawyer85

I cannot find the scrubbing bubbles coupon. Is it not in the insert?

      • Anonymous

You have to print out link right above this posting.

    • Cathy Bess

The coupon you are getting is not the one price at $3.97..

      • Natalie Alison

according to walmarts add, the $3.97 product is a starter kit.

        • Anonymous

It is and I had no problem at all.

    • Jgutierrez

Just got back from walmart got 2 blush two eye shodow one ponds wipes total $19 something I paid 2.72 great deal! they did not have the Scrubbing Bubbles One Step Toilet Bowl Cleaner, I only need two right now so I might check or call another walmart

    • Olisa56

Not sure how many people will see this or take the time to read it so I will keep it brief.  I went to walmart.  I got in on the cover girl blush and sponges, and the scrubbing bubbles.  I had a walmart ad in hand and I went by a price check in the aisle and found out that the scrubbing bubbles was ringing up at 6.97.  So I told the cashier ahead of time and she punched in the override without a manager or anything.  She said that she was able to do that because I told her ahead of time that the price was scanning for more than the ad presented.  She said knowing that made the transaction go much smoother.  Hope this helps somebody.  Thanks, BTW I got 2 scrubbing bubbles, 2 blushes, and 2 packs of sponges for $2.98.  Love it.

      • Chriscastle6

Where did you find the cover girl coupon?

        • Anonymous

          This past Sundays newspaper..

    • GAPixie

Has anyone used the coupons that are inside of the scrubbing bubbles kits because they are $3.00 off a starter kit and I think what is on sale is technically a refill with a free stand. ???????

      • Natalie Alison

i used the coupons in the box to get 6.  My walmart had no problem taking the coupons.  their add says that the $3.97 is a starter kit.

    • Shooper480

I can’t find the o-celo-o coupon. anyone else having problems?

      • Brismom

I could not find the coupon either.

    • Jtdjagos

I stopped shopping at Walmart a few years ago, but decided to try it again when they became so “couponer” friendly. I went to buy the scrubbing bubbles and only found the box marked $9.47. The picture was slightly different(it had a yellow stripe) but the description was they same. They gave me a hassle saying it was not the right product, so I told them I would be happy to buy the correct one if they showed me where it was. They knew this was the product in the ad, and told me they would give it to me at the sale price. I replied that they weren’t giving me anything other than what the ad stated. What really bothersme about about Walmart is that after all of this they did not correct it in the system and the next customer will have to go through the same scene. After today I have decided that Walmart has not changed, the customer always comes last.

    • Jessica

went to wal-mart in Peachtree City today and had 2 managers trying to figure out what was going on with the scrubbing bubbles.  They went in the back to look for the “specially marked packages” but didn’t find them.  He told me to call back tomorrow….in the meantime I was going to check out the wal-mart in Fayetteville…has anyone else looked there?

    • Guest

My Walmart only had the non-stripe Scrubbing Bubbles boxes scanning at $9.47.  The ad says the kit includes 18 oz cleaner, and the box on hand has an 18 oz cleaner, so the cashier did the ad price match for $3.97.  However, the $4 off confused her since the discount was more than the price.  She initially refused to scan the coupon, saying “I can’t double this, but I can offer $1 off instead.” I told her I don’t want it doubled, just honored at the $4 face value.  The floor manager finally came by and approved the use of the coupon.

    • Drvmecr8zy

My local Kroger’s in Murfreesboro, TN had the same Scrubbing Bubbles priced at 4.49.  I know they were not freem but .49 cents isn’t bad!  they had them on low flats at the end of several aisles and the price was almost hidden!  Had I not known what to look for, I would have never seen it!

      • Jtdjagos

thanks for the info, I will try our local Kroger for the rest

    • Mssweetpotatopie

My Walmart only had the $9.47 box, reluctantly agreed to price match for the sale price (after consulting 4 people) and then said “1 per customer”. Said that even though sale ad or display was not marked so that they had the right to limit purchases of any items. I only had 3, went through the line with 2 other family members who each purchased one for me and the “customer service manager” stood at the end of my checkout line watching us like we were criminals. They wouldn’t take the sponge coupons, said the computer wasn’t scanning that I had the right items even though I did. Cashier said I shouldn’t care cause I was already getting a deal on toilet cleaner and a few CG make-ups. The experience was so exasperating I think will stay away from Walmart even if it means missing out on a few freebies…

      • Felicia

you should try going to the self checkout if your store has them….that away you scan your own coupons and dont get the hassel…most of my coupons scan on self check with no issues only every once in a while do I have to get someone to come to my machine and override it and even then typically when they open the “cashier keyboard” on the screen its a question asking if its a food item or not, rather than the register not accepting the coupon. Also when the register wasn’t scanning your coupon for the sponges I bet it was because they werent covering the two smaller barcodes…on walmart registers you have to cover them or else it wont read it. The register will only read a bar code with a numerical UPC code under it. There were a few CSM’s and cashiers I used to work with that would do this all of the time when they didnt want to accept someone coupons…

    • laura

Just a heads up: theres a $4 printable coupon on Scrubbing Bubble’s facebook page. Click on One Step Dance Off, scroll down and on the left it’ll say get details and a coupon and it’ll take you to the right at home website, fill in your information and it’ll let you print!!

      • laura

Nevermind it’s linked above, duh!! I need sleep!

    • I went to Walmart today, and got all on this list, the sore manager gave me a hard time with the covergirl stuff, she clams she called covrgirl and they told her the coupon is for covergirl cleang products only, but the CVS adertisement says makeup…she was very rude to me about it, it had went thru and the cashier had to call her over b/c the amount was less than the coup, and thats when she laid in on me.she started to complain about them not gettg paid for the cuop, but she had to let me hv it b/c it did go thru…duhhh, the bar code was the same as the product. I dont like shopping there, they give us coupers a hard time  :(

    • Jgutierrez

got 3 Scrubbing Bubbles One Step Toilet Bowl Cleaner, $3.97
2 eye shodow  total 19 pay nothing i was -.49 so i had to buy a gum the cashier look confuse but did no say anything now my bathroom is clean and I look good lol

    • Susie

My advice when you have a coupon for more than purchase price at Walmart is to buy other products.  Do the price match on the scrubbing bubbles then buy several other good deals with coupons.  Hand her the coupons together with the SB one in the middle and they will scan without looking.

    • Beachy

So, after 3 trips to Walmart and a bit of discussion with CS (ad in hand and the regular $9.97 Scrubbing Bubbles One Step) I purchased 2 at $3.97 only paying $.42 in tax. I had to laugh at myself when I got home and excitedly set up the cleaning device only to realize it isn’t nearly as fabulous as I had hoped…and it looks somewhat “institutional” in the bathroom. It was FREE, but likely not worth this frenzy :)

      • Susie

Beachy, exactly what I thought.  But I have two boys in college and I figured giving them the SBOS might get used by them when a toliet brush wouldn’t.  In college, looks doesn’t matter.  Heck, my stereo stand back then was concrete blocks with boards placed over them and I was happy.

        • Beachy

          so true Susie!

      • BAandScootersMom

It was not the $9.97 starter kit that was on sale for $3.97 it was the one step toilet bowl cleaner that uses the gel packs. You got the starter kit, plus the injector and one refill of gel for $3.97..So actually you got a different one, and the one you got is a lot more difficult to use than the gel one. You did get a deal if the CSM agreed to a different item. Also, this was a One Time Deal at Wal-Mart, which means when they ran out of the item, they would not be getting any more in.

        • Beachy

I think you may be mistaken. The ad photo clearly shows the “one step” device that you step on and the white cannister is visible in the as photo as well. The only difference in the box I purchased is the bar code and the yellow banner was missing from the front…

      • Jessica

Thanks for pointing out that it may not be worth it because I have been working my butt off and running around to 2 different wal-marts waiting for them to “get them in”. Ridiculous!

    • Meshell

I went to Walmart, salespaper & coupons in hand. I bought 4 of the SB one steps. Two for me, and two for family. The cashier (a young guy), priced matched it for me because they didn’t have, nor had they had the special promotional ones. No problem. Then he gets to my coupons & says, “Only one of these will work, it says so here.” I sighed, and explained, “It means only one coupon per item, not transaction. If they didn’t put that disclaimer in there, someone would attempt to use several coupons on ONE item and end up getting lots of money back.” He said, “oh”, and went ahead & scanned them. Overall, it was a painless experience. The cashier was very obliging. He was just a little confused over the “limit one” line. And I’m sure most of us have had cashiers that have had trouble with the same disclaimer.

    • Angieq987

The walmart were I live is terrible at accepting coupons.  They scrutinize every one, sometimes even refuse to try scanning some elegible coupons and then if any coupons  don’t scan  they stop and re-sort thru all of your stuff only to see that yes you do have those products and then they call over their manager to approve and take the coupon.  They also didn’t have any of the SB one steps for $3.97 but had the starter kits priced at $ 9.97 and stated they could not give me the deal in the flyer.  I am thinking I will start driving the 30 minutes to Gainesville to shop at Target.  They never give me a hard time with coupons.

    • BAandScootersMom

Also, if you looked at the picture in the ad and then looked at the box on the 9.97 kit, they almost look the same but they are different. Also if you printed out the coupon online, it had the word GEL on it…

        • Natalie Alison

my coupon did not say “Gel”.

mine didn’t either just starter pack

I thank goodness found some ,that someone had hid in a  pine sol box. I plan to keep 2,and give the other 5 to family and friends. I also got my free blush make up thanks to this site letting me know. It was nice getting some namebrand make up instead of dollar store brand. So thank you very much . I also bought 6 oral b floss for $1.50 sooooo happy.,Southern Savers is the best site out there. I also used 2 printable Schick $6 off of 2 and got 3 bags of razors free! thanks to this site,a bottle of scope for .99 cents and free cat treat. My order had came to 76.89 with some other groceries and I got it all for $10,loved the look on my son’s face. One thing PLEASE don’t make us couponers look bad,by getting up to the registers and not having coupons ready. My mother in law and even I a couponer stood behind this flustered lady actually cutting her coupons while she frantically searched her buggy for the right coupons. I took my son and ahead of time explained to him how to do it,and gave him the money and products because on PG coupons you can only use 4. She did 3 separate transactions and was not ready at all, plus I went at 9 pm and they were not busy even tho it was the first of the month. Try if you can to go at an early time or at least, less busy….

OK guys, I have found the golden ticket when it comes to these scrubbing bubbles one step kits. TARGET! Last night I picked up a sale paper at Walmart, the ad says “one time offer” 3.97 for the WHOLE KIT. Well, at Target when you buy a kit and a refill for it you get a $5 giftcard. SO, have Target pricematch using Walmart’s ad, then use your 4$ off coupon, and there was an online coupon for $1 off a refill (which are $3.99)  So for $2.99 plus tax I got the kit, the refill and a little profit :)

      Happy shopping!

ps – there are “tell a friend coupons in the kit’s box for $3.00 off a kit and BOGO refills :)

    • Phairplu

Hello fellow couponers!  Jennie, thank you for this site and all your help.
The covergirl deal worked excellent, i used 4 coupons, bought 8 eyeshadows at $3.14 per and used the overage to buy beachnut 3rd stage baby food (enough for the week hooray!)
I tried to get the scrubbing bubbles at a Walmart market store.  I did not have the ad.  i was told by the assistant store manager that “we don’t match prices from the ad, that is a superstore ad and we are a different store.”  I said, “could you please explain why not?”  He said, “because we are appealing to a different market and in competition.”  I said, “yes, you are in competition with other stores and have 2 Walmart shopping centers within 5 miles to the North and South, also, your own literature states that you ‘match’ competitor ads”  I did not have the ad, so he stated that was the policy but I made a good point and he would discuss it with corporate.  I smiled and left.  I told my husband and a few hours later he went back with the ad and came home with the product and they had honored the coupon.  My husband was in Publix management for over 8 years and he explained how they had to honor the ad pursuant to their own literature and we are both still laughing that they didn’t want to honor the “Walmart” flyer!  By the way, i did try to get the deal at Target, and they refused to honor it because it is a “one time offer” and they don’t honor written adds that state “one time offer.”  Finding this too ridiculous for words, i had to leave.  I guess I should send my husband in their too!  Anyway, I know it is not the front line cashiers, but some re-training is needed.

      • Klbs71

Those coupons are only used for ‘face products’…ex. foundation…NOT lipstick, eye shadow, blush…I contacted Cover Girl Cust. Serv via email & phone and verified what the coupons were pertaining to…and I feel it’s dishonest for people to keep using coupons incorrectly!

        • Phairplu

Last time I checked, my eyes were on my face, but thank you Captain Coupon police!  Boy, people really need to get over themselves on this site!

    • Snewman

i went last Sunday to my local Wal-Mart and tried to get the scrubbing bubbles also and I had the add and I was told that they would not honor it becasue the one in the add was a special marked package and a one time offer item.  I asked them if they were going to get this item and was told no.  I went to Kroger the same day and they had teh same one in a special display and it was $4.49 not free but great deal anyway.

    • Melissa

So frustrated today! I found 1 more Covergirl coupon I had left and tried to use it this evening for my eyeshadow & lipgloss. The cashier said they were told not to take them!! She said it can ONLY be used on foundation. I told her that was incorrect & I had not had problems using my other coupons. It does NOT say foundation- it says face product. A face product should be ANYTHING you use on your face! If it was limited to foundation then Covergirl should have said $8/2 foundations. I took my coupon back, told her to keep the makeup & I will use it elsewhere.

I live in KY and usually shop at Harrodsburg or Lawrenceburg Walmart. I have not been able to find the Scrubbing Bubbles for $3.97. Does anyone know where I could find them? They expire in 2 days.
