Store Logo

I know Wal-mart normally posts on Monday but this list is so long I just couldn’t get it finished in time to post yesterday. This is a list of EVERYTHING on rollback in my store this week. Please remember that prices vary from store to store so you should find these on rollback in your area but the prices will be a little different for some items.

Rollback doesn’t always mean a great deal, but it’s as close to a “sale” as you are gonna get in Walmart to hopefully this is a help to my “I only have a Walmart” shoppers.

no shout coupon at coupons.com at this time

    • Andre

Since when is a rebate “while quantities last”? Doesn't sound promising, IMHO.

      • Bee

I read on another blog where on a similar Wal-Mart rebate, persons were sent a “Sorry, no more gift cards available” note. Not worth it if they retain the right to limit the number of rebates.

        • Andre

I could not agree more. And at the top of the rebate form it says “You could earn…”

Sounds like a scam. I will not participate.

      • Wdra0632

The last time walmart and all you did a rebate, you had to purchase 3 listed products by a certain date. I purchased 4 of the listed and had my info. in early, received a letter saying that I did not qualify for the rebate. So I called they said that they were out of the rebates…Walmart was out of $5 gift cards? So I told her (since the conversation was being recorded) no problem I will just blog about how this was a scam and for others to beware in the future, and plus I will get an estimate of how many others you have done this too. I told her to have a great day and hung up. Yesterday I got a nice letter and a $5 gift card to walmart in the mail. So no I will not be wasting time to see if i qualify for this gift card. Rather have drug store money anyday!

    • Ashley

with the travel size 3-in-1 purex the coupon says excludes the to go 2 pack….is this different then the travel size?

    • The link for the mail in rebate on Febreeze is taking me to a Fiber Choice website.

      • I fixed it. Sorry about that!

    • A.W.

Has anyone else noticed that sometimes wal-mart will put a big sign out that says roll bake but its the same price it always is?

      • A.W.

        Roll Back*

        • Ranna

Yes, my mom is a manager there and she says that they do that and that the display endcaps aren't a good deal either.

      • All the time! It''s ridiculous! Or they will take off 10 – 20 cents the rest of the time.

    • jhoran

Wow!!! Seems like a waste of time going to walmart since you can find a lot of their stuff cheaper at walgreens, kroger and cvs.

      • It is a little, but hopefully it can help folks see for themselves that there are better deals other places too.

Some folks really don't have a choice though without driving over an hour.

        • wendyc

          Jenny,

Thanks for all you do!! I usually shop at HT but I think I might give the cottenelle rebate a try! Have a great day!

        • Jasmine

that is totally true, i was so stupid in the past years always do my grocery from walmart, but since i learned how to coupon and knew about other store sales walmart is not the best , i would saved hunderds of dollars if i didn't shop from their store in the past years!!!!!! what a waste of money oh my god, good thing something knocked me in my head and told me to wake up.

    • Mtcr13

Dollar General has Pop Ice Popsicles 100 ct. for 3.00

    • Willyb

I tried using the McCormick q on the taco seasoning and they wouldn't take it saying that it was a mix and mixes can't be bought with that q. But, as they often do, she might have just been making that up when the q beeped.

      • KellieTX

I just got a few of those and my coupon did not beep…weird!!

      • Stevendrish

I had the same problem. Another rude manager at walmart. They can't make up their mind they want couponers, but they want to scrutinize every coupon. Someone needs to tell them coupons are like cash the more you get the higher your sales…

    • annette

Thank you, Jenny, for indicating when a product is available at a better price at another store – helps to stretch the $ even further!

    • Bee

I just returned from Wal-Mart. I took a fistful of coupons with me. I brought home NOTHING.

I walked the entire store looking for a deal. Nothing, nothing, nothing.

I was going to use the Free Chef Boyardee ravioli coupon I got from the Wal-Mart website (up to $2 for 15 oz or larger). The small cans were .98. The big cans were 2.46. Calculating ounces, you only save .08 by buying a larger can (.002 savings per ounce). So, I did not redeem this coupon, thinking I would do better at Kroger letting the amount of the product go toward gas rewards and maybe triggering a coupon from Kroger mailings.

WM now carries Langer's juice at nearly $2.50. Ingle's has it B1G1 this week and it works out to be 1.49. Ingle's does a sale on Langer's quite often. Vlasic pickles at Wal-Mart $2.00 for 16 oz, Ingle's for $1.04. I just enjoyed a nice Edwards key lime pie I bought last week at Kroger B1G1 for around $2.50. It's over $5 at Wal-Mart. Now, I know I am quoting B1G1 prices…BUT I think I can safely say these items are NEVER going to be B1G1 at Wal-Mart, just that same stupid quoted “low” price that is not low.

There were many more comparisons, and the prices were even often better using a good Walgreen's or CVS deal. $3.29 for Dial Nutriskin (the smaller bottle). After RR at Wag's a week or so ago, the largest bottle sold was $1.99. It's a new product, so why pay premium price?

I wanted to buy Pedigree Marrobone using the $2 coupon. They didn't have any, despite upgrading their pet dept and increasing inventory. Empty shelf. Same with the Dentastix last time-none. I guess I will use those coupons at Target like I did last time. I tried to use my free Aunt Jemima coupon. They don't sell Aunt Jemima pancakes or waffles.

I have come to the conclusion that Wal-Mart is just a larger version of a convenience store. Compare them to convenience stores…yep, they'll come out ahead on price. I also think Wal-Mart caters to people who shop for dinner ingredients nightly. Much harder to keep track of what is spent overall that way.

I just don't understand. Wal-Mart here is surrounded by competition. Even Aldi is their competition, because WM wants to make money on the Great Value brand but can't if Aldi has a tastier and cheaper version.

I keep giving this place a chance, but apparently they are still into customer dissatisfaction and pricing tricks.

      • Kkernea

once, again, do your ad-matching.but please check with your local walmarts to see which competitor stores, your walmarts will match. after all, walmarts would rather see happy customers, than dissatisfied customers.

    • Jmedina3577

Wonderful trip to Wallyworld!! Spent $16 use $16 in coupons! Actually made money on the nail clippers and the Frigo Cheese!! Thanks a million Jenny!

    • Cathy

I used the “$2 off a Revlon beauty tool coupon” from the Target website at Walmart the other day. The nail clippers were $1.58 so with their new coupon policy that allows overage, I got the clippers for FREE and earn $0.42 towards my other purchase! ;) No coupon problems with the cashier either! Woohoo!!!

    • Cathy

I hit an AWESOME clearance aisle at a Walmart yesterday. Picked up 5 large bottles of shampoo (Head and Shoulders and Garnier Dandruff -each 25 oz+) and 4 normal sized shampoos (Nexxus, Pantene, Selsun Blue). Each bottle was clearance priced at $0.50, $1, or $1.50. Bought a few other grocery items too…..after coupons $1.84!!!!! :)

It actually should have been $0.84 but one of the $1 off coupons didn't actually deduct – I realized it after I left the store. I'm not complaining though since I used 2 coupons for $3 off Nexxus Shampoo that I got in sample mailings. Since the Nexxus was clearanced at $1 that gave me $2 overage for each coupon! ;)

Generally, I only buy items at Walmart if I can't find it cheaper anywhere else but since we live in a small town, Walmart is sometimes the best of our few options. So the new “overage” policy makes me happy…..and finding great clearance deals makes me happy. And now we have a year's + supply of dandruff shampoo (that we use regularly) which I find is a little harder to get for free. Yay! :)

      • Kkernea

thanx for shopping the clearance aisle. i`m glad you got some awesome deals.however, on the coupon deal, you should`ve taken it to customer service, and they could`ve refunded you the difference. if its not too old,you might can still do it. just show your receipt.

    • Fgb4jc11

can you buy 2 frosty flakes and send in your ALL YOU for the gift card and still receive the 10 dollar card? has anyone done it yet? or do you ahve to buy one of each

    • Araepatterson17

Does walmart take target coupons. (like the Revlon cp)

      • Kkernea

no. walmart doesnt take competitor coupons .however , walmarts can ad-match the price of the coupon

      • Alicia

The Revlon coupon printing from the Target website is a Manufactor's coupon!

    • Heidi

We went to WM tonight to buy some pool floaties for a last-minute pool party for the kids in the morning. It's definitely not my favorite store but ours had $1 bags of Malt-O-Meal cereal (12 oz trial size – the normal Frosted Mini Wheats knockoff is 18 oz so like paying $1.50 for the 18-oz bag) which if you have the MoM coupons (I've used both $1 and $2 off 2 in the past) makes for cheap cereal. And they're still the best price for canned Coke products – $6.98 for 24 cans is a better deal than WD's buy 3, get and 8 pack free, Publix's buy 2 get 1 free, or Walgreens' 3 for $10.

We used to shop almost exclusively at WM – I don't really think it's the enemy. WM is there for the average shopper who can go to one store on any particular day and get groceries that will, on an average of items, have a lower price than Publix or WD. Yes, if you're willing to spend the time and effort collecting coupons, checking great sites like this and making all your matchups, and are able to get into a buying cycle with the sales, you'll save a lot more shopping at Publix or WD. If you're really into it you can use the drugstores. However, many people aren't going to do this, whether they're unwilling or unable. It does take a lot of time even with all the matches being thrown in your lap, and it takes a certain level of bravery to go into a grocery store with a big fat stack of coupons.

We started couponing a few months ago, and before that we were spending about $175 a week on groceries for our family of 6, which was us hitting the BOGOs at the grocery and buying everything else at WM. Now buying at just Publix and WD we spend about $100 a week – it took us about 2 months to really feel the savings. I absolutely agree that WM is NOT the cheapest place to shop, BUT you have to be willing to make the effort.

    • Allybethany

The printable coupon for purex 3 in 1 excludes the travel size, just a heads up =(

    • Couponj

There's a $1/1 purex coupon in the 3/13 RP which lists the 3-to-1 and no exclusion on trail size.

    • Couponj

Wipes are $1.64 at our Walmart… bummer.

      • Kkernea

if you see wipes @ a competitor store, all you need to do is mention it to the cashier &they override the price.

    • Wire Tightener

the link for the garnier smooth milk printable coupon sent me to a margaritaville seafood coupon.

    • Kkernea

jenny hi, i`m a walmart associate. please let me thank you for posting walmart today.{03/23/11. i would like to share with some friends on your web page, that walmart .does usually match lot of competitor ads. however, walmart does not offer double the face value of coupons. but thanks, again, for your posting of walmarts. this will show customers that can save @ walmarts as well as other stores. please check with your local walmarts to see, which competitor stores, that they do match. nutsy

    • Found another great deal at Wal Mart today. I decided that I want to try making yeast rolls so I needed some yeast. The Fleischmann's 3-pack strip was just 75¢ and there is a 40¢ coupon in SS 11/7, 12/5, 3/27 making it just 35¢.

    • Frugalemark

Can anyone tell me how to get the Olivar (Olive Oil) printable at Walmart only coupon? Does this mean that I would print it AT WalMart as opposed to online somewhere?

is it advisable to organize the coupon book based on the layout of the store ? does all the store have the same layout plan of its products? thanks

    • PaulaB

i tried to use a register reward from walgreens at walmart and was not allowed to. i spoke with the supervisor and the manager and even called 1800-walmart, all with no success. i returned everything and went to spend my money at walgreens instead.

      • Slgumm

About a week after walmart released the new coupon policy stating that they would accept RR's, they released a newer one saying they would only except catalina' s that are for a specific item. This means they won't take RR's since they are off an entire purchase. I got to use RR's one time, and for a brief moment the sun shined on my face in walmart…lol!

    • Susanizanurse

I despise Walmart! I despise Walmart! I DESPISE WALMART!
There – I said it & I feel better! Our ding-dong Walmart is going to make me into a crazier person than I am already. My husband begs me not to go in … “Honey, it's not worth it! You come out angry every time” is what he says! I run by Thurs to pick up a pot for a poor potbound houseplant, some hamster food for our girls' deprived rodents, some parrot food for our porch pigeon, & to use the remaining (7) $3/1 Gain coupons. What could POSSIBLY happen since I have (7) boxes of Gain dryer sheets & (7) $3/1 Gain newspaper coupons? The cashier says, “Ma'am, you will have to do 7 seperate transactions to use these coupons.” Huh? Do what? “The coupon says on it that you can only use one per purchase.” Yes, & that's what I'm doing .. I have 1 coupon for each Gain product. “Let me call a CM & ask her.” A CM arrives, reads the coupon like it's an original Declaration of Independence document, & declares she will need to call customer service. When customer service called, he/she says, “You cannot buy this many of the same item in a single transaction. You'll have to do a seperate transaction for each coupon/item.” Do WHAT? Becha if i wasn't attempting to use a Gain coupon I could buy every single Gain product IN YOUR STORE with no issues at all! I kindly tell the cashier to take all 7 boxes off my ticket, return my confiscated coupons, offer to read them all THEIR new coupon policy, tell them how special they made me feel, tell them that I would be contacting corporate before the end of their shift, & told them that I'd take my Gain coupons to another less silly Walmart, & that this is the very reason I've stopped shopping at Walmart for the past year that I'd be making the 140 mile roundtrip adventure to my fav Publix on Monday where customer service was THE name of the game as oppsed to Walmart's customer abuse! How stupid can someone be & I am talking about myself for considering the possibility that Walmart *may* have reformed something regarding their coupon knowledge.

      • Susanizanurse

I wanted to follow up to my above post. I sent a 4000 character email to corporate Walmart outlining my above issue. Three days later I rec'd a call from the store manager. He said he'd already met with ALL the cashiers & reviewed Walmart's new coupon policy. He said they were all told to “scan the coupon & if the register did not beep, accept it, & keep going” and “to not question the customer or get into a coupon debate at the registers – ever – with a customer.” I have not been back since the above incident but I had just about stopped shopping at Walmart anyway. I am anxious to see if there's any changes though. I only wish I had more $3 Gain coupons to try out but alas, I used them at another Walmart on 3/31! I would encourage any of you to email corportate when you have problems though. Surely if enough of us continue to do this things will eventually change!

    • stacey

I went to wal-mart tonight, got (2) Revlon nail clippers, (12) McCormick taco mixes, (8) Purex 3-n-1 (travel sz), (4) Friggo cheese, (2) Degree Girl, and (6) Excedrin PM all for a little over $5.00. All was FREE except the deodorant and medicine. I was in hog heaven until I got to the register, and went head to head with the cashier and her COUPON KNOWLEDGE!!! When we were finally through debating, calling half the store management over to the register, and reading the policy, which I had to literaly explain to them, I not only needed the Excedrin PM I purchased, but a stiff NITE CAP with it, when I got home. I sat in my chair and looked at my two Wal-mart bags and began to laugh at myself vigorously, about what a battle I had to endure just to endulge in the simple pleasure of couponing. Of course my husband came to see what was so funny, and I couldn't tell him for laughing so hard. The more he asked, the harder I laughed. Well FELLOW COUPONERS, I think that we endure all of the red ears, the blood shot eyes, and the heavy breathing to reform Wal-Mart. I finally figured it out. In the words of a famous comedian, YOU CAN'T FIX STUPID!! So keep clipping, and visiting the more COUPON FRIENDLY STORES, and posting. When they see the numbers fall, and trust me they are falling more and more. That was proven when they came out with their NEW COUPON POLICY, (what a joke). Just a lure for us couponers, because they know we are POWER, and they're missing out more and more.

    • Cottonelle Rebate offer

Cottonelle WM $10 gift card rebate offer is no longer available. :(

    • Buffy Asaro

I have already printed my rebate for the frosted flakes, but I haven't bought it yet – is to late to do this rebate since I already have my copy printed?

    • Anita

How much does a Family Size box of Frosted Flakes weigh? I got the biggest box my WM had, but it doesn't say Family Size on it.

    • KellyL

I went to wal-mart today to pick up a few things before coupons expire on 03/31. I will only purchase olay facial cleaner/body wash here, unless the drugstore has a great ecb deal. i got 2 cleaners & 2 body wash for $8. I also picked up the swiffer cloths b1g1, the woolite ($0.82 after coupon), b2g1 musketeers ($0.50 each) & bigi trident gum ($0.96). They do have the best prices on these items. I spend a total of 48.63 after my coupons of $30.84. I did have to purchase protensmix & a binder with out coupons.

My cahsier was great & wanted to konw how to go about collecting coupons. I am not for the slamming or name calling that some post on this site. I would suggest for those of you who can not get through your post without calling someone stupid to go go to another site & post your complaints.

You need to stop & think about what other unpolite customers the cashier has had to wait on before you. We do not need to judge someone until we have walked in their shoes. Let's also ask our self “Would I do a better job?” If you answer yes, then go apply at your local walmart.

      • Britt

whoa, whoa, whoa. i work as a cashier and i know first hand that there are rude customers out there. but as a cashier you should realize that your job is customer service, that means no matter how horrible people have been you should never take it out on someone else. i have had horrible experiences at walmart, and granted i will not call them stupid because everyone has their short comings, but its not acceptable to treat people the way that walmart has a history of treating people. and yes i absolutely would do a better job because i do everyday!

    • Ashleylashun

Hai guise, I was just wondering if I could use a coupon that says “retailer coupon” at WalMart? I've heard that you could, but I don't know for sure. Has anyone ever used one at WalMart?

    • Lcohn27

Just an FYI that I just tried to use the McCormick $1 coupon on a packet of the taco seasoning and the cashier said no way because the packets are not pictured on the coupon. I was not sure so I just took it off my purchase. Anyone had a similar experience? I also had to explain the new coupon overage policy to the cashier.

    • Happy Feet

I would love for us to known more for being givers than grabbers… let's take all our expirig coupons to store an lay them around so others can enjoy saving money too!!! My store clerks were thankful… and loved being on the recieving end… God bless them all for putting up with us!!! Just Saying! :o)

    • kncoupons

Uuggghhhhh!!! Went to Wal-Mart last night and had a terrbile experience!! I had over 40 coupons so my transaction required a CSM override. When the CSM came to my register she said that they weren't allowed to override transactions because of coupons. She said she wasn't going to override it, but I guess she didn't know how to work the register because she was trying to void the transaction and then said, well it went through, but it won't happen again. I showed her the coupon policy that I had printed off Wal-Mart's website that states there is no limit on number of coupons per transaction but she said I had the wrong policy. She didn't even look at my policy. She said she had a new policy that corporate had sent them. I asked for a copy and she never gave it to me. I told her that I had just printed the policy and that it said it was updated 3/16/11. She also said that the policy stated no duplicates, which is true, but she said that meant you could only use one like coupon. I told her that no duplicates meant no copies were accepted but I guess she didn't like the customer explaining the policy to her because she just kept insisting that it meant that you can only use one like coupon. I really wish Wal-Mart would train their employees better and teach them about the coupon policy.

In that situation where she was misinformed and, it sounds, abrasive, I would most assuredly have taken out a pen and paper, asked her name and position and asked her for the name of the person to whom she reports, his/ her full name, correctly spelled, and his accurate title. I would have written to the President/ CEO , with a copy to the VP of Sales and to their legal department. That's the only way to effect change.

I write more complimentary letters than critical. When someone is extremely proficient, I write to the Board of Directors about them, as well, and I bring them a copy.

Im an Assistant Manager at Walmart. We just got a new coupon policy. We can override it. It prompts us to verify at 40 coupons and/or $50. I don't know where you are located, but I made sure that all of my cashiers have a copy of the new policy at each register and that we are in compliant with it.

I work for Walmart also. The one I work in has a copy of the new coupon policy at every register, as well as the new ad match policy and all the cashiers and customer service managers are familiar with it. Walmart will now match B1G1 sales as long as the price is in the ad, which is something they have never done before. They are trying to get caught up…be patient! Not all Walmarts are alike…I've worked in quite a few and the one I am at now is by far the best one customer service wise that I have ever seen.

You really need to write a complaint about your experience on walmart.com site. This is what I did following my problems 2 weeks ago. The store manager called me & outlined his corrective action plan.

I have had a manufacturer's coupon that said Kroger on it and the cashier at Wal-mart would not accept it because it said Kroger. Is it just me, or can they redeem any manufacturer's coupon no matter what store it printed at?
