Weekly Weigh In

We are almost one week into our November Diet Bet, and I hope it’s helping everyone else with motivation as much as it is me.  I had a great week focusing on getting back into a routine with working out and trying to watch portion sizes.

While the scale didn’t move much (half a pound down) getting back into working out after almost a month break has already given me more energy and focus.  My husband makes fun of me, but I am a much more bubbly, happy person when I’ve exercised (he is the exact opposite and turns into a grump afterwards).

This week we are aiming for running 4 times.  Our race is set for November 22nd, so we have to step it up to be semi-ready in time.  I’m running with my twin 11 year olds, and we haven’t done a race in almost two years… so odds are we aren’t winning any medals.  We are however getting in shape together and enjoying some fun mama-daughter time.

My other goal this week is water, lots and lots of water!  I tend to want flavor, but for budget sake stopped buying the Bai drinks that I enjoyed this spring.  So I’m trying adding essential oils to my water to help with taste.  So far I’m loving peppermint and lemon.

Do you have any favorite drinks that are no calorie but also don’t have artificial sweeteners (they give me headaches)?  I will take any recommendations you have!
