moving won't help. some of the stores double the prices then offer them as BOGO. I fail to see the BOGO on that when the “sale” brings it back down to regular price.

      • wendyc33

yes and u have to buy both to get the deal, and its not a deal. they have been doubling coupons for a long time.

      • Dolphin2253

They do raise the price but you use two coupons so it makes them back to a good price.

        • http://twitter.com/ADDhousewife Micki

not when they raise the cost of the chunky soup to $5 each then put it on BOGO. With the $1/2 coupon it makes it $2 each. That's not enough to make me go to the store for it. I hardly ever use coupons there now. Publix gets my coupons & money

    • Crobertson1916

I live in Alabama. When did Winn Dixie start doubling coupons?

      • Heather

I was wondering the same thing myself! I'm in southeast AL and haven't had any Q's doubled at Winn Dixie that I'm aware of. Wonder if this is new or regional within the state.

        • wendyc33

i would just ask your store, but ours has a sign on the front we double coupons.

          • Almsw119

All stores in the Birmingham area double coupons unless they state “not subject to doubling.”

            • Bamasaver

All stores in Anniston, AL, area automatically double all coupons up to a 50-cent value (even if it says not subject to doubling). Exception: if using more than one of the exact same coupon, only the first one doubles. I think it's a regional thing within the state.

            • AlaQer

In Anniston I've found that I can get two of the same coupon to double, but no more than that. I've also had ones that said “Not subject to doubling” (pulled from machine in the store) not double.

        • Joan

I live in Gulf Shores…I don't think our Winn Dixie doubles.

          • Cantbeatthisheat

They don't. Nor do any of the Winn-Dixies in Robertsdale, Fairhope, or Daphne. Unless it's something they have just started within the last couple weeks?

      • niki

Prattville WD is doubling their coupons also.

      • http://www.faithfamilyfrugality.com Alissabeth

        Montgomery doubles…not sure about Wetumpka…they're a pain.

        • michelle

Wetumpka doubles $.50 or less. I would recommend getting a manager if you have problems. They have always been very helpful to me, especially when the cashiers don't seem to know how to deal with coupons.

    • http://therabbitpad.blogspot.com/ MacBoy

Maybe W-D should do that in Florida to up its ante against Publix. Publix will take competitors' coupons and W/D will double. That would be a sweet deal.

    • Wendy

I live in Central Alabama and have been to several Winn Dixie's and they all automatically double any coupon 50 cents or lower.

    • Lindseygurley

Winn Dixies in Mobile, AL don't double coupons. I have asked the store manager and they said no can do.

    • Leighann Howell

I live right at the AL/MS border (about 45 min from Mobile off I-10) and I know for a fact that the Winn Dixies right across the line don't double coupons, unfortunately.

    • Smaples23173

Maybe we need to get something in writing from cooperate about Alabama doubling qs. I shop almost every week at wds in Semmes or Mobile, AL and have never had .50 or less doubled.

      • SSZGORLOTT

Yeah I shop the Winn Dixie in Theodore and the one in Tillmans corner. The ones in our area do not double. However, Food World does double. There is one in Theodore and I get free stuff all the time in there!! You have to do your own shopping list and matups though. I just usually take my binder in and take my time.

        • SSZGORLOTT

          matchups.. :)

    • Mjosey

I am trying to print the State Fair coupon and it tells me I have printed my limit??? I haven't printed any yet :( Any help? I am new at this….

      • Dolphin2253

You may have printed them in the past or there may be no more prints available. There are only a certain number of times a coupon can be printed.

    • Lena

My WD (Northport, AL) doubles q's 50 cents and less. But even with that, their things are still too expensive. The ONLY reason I find something small to buy there is so I can get the $5 off of $55 catalina that seems to print every time so I can use it the following week at Publix.

      • http://twitter.com/ADDhousewife Micki

I do the same thing LOL It prints when you hit $20, i think. Ours sells marked down produce and that's how I hit my catalina. Last week I got 1.5 lbs of cherries for 98 cents! Usually can find good deals in the smashed and dented section. And they take Qs on those items, too ;)

      • carrie

How do you get these? I only started going to WD to get these catalinas and I haven't gotten one yet. Of course, I only go on the weeks where I will buy something that I can make into a good deal, but I still haven't gotten one yet. What are you buying that these things print? Thanks.

      • Foolzcoupons

it must depend on the store. I have not gotten a $ off $$ catalina in Months and I shop there regularly due to limited options (of course they are finally putting in a Publix and we are moving to a new duty station in 5 weeks! grrr). As soon as they started the “meal deals” I never got one again. I've had a few purchaes over $100 even.

    • http://thebrickhouseblog.com Shoppingonashoestring

Wondering if anyone is running into register glitches while using coupons for the “Buy this get that” deals. For instance, this week, friends of mine have said that they have tried to apply coupons to their “free” Jumbone when they purchase the Pedigree Dog food and the register will not accept them. At these same stores we are able to apply coupons to bogo deals, without any problem ever. I have not been able to speak to the management yet, but their registers must view these deals differently then traditional bogos.

      • Dee111681

you have to give them your rewards card last and it should work just fine

        • http://thebrickhouseblog.com Shoppingonashoestring

Yes, they have applied the rewards card to the order. It seems to me that their system is just not allowing coupons for the FREE item.

          • Zarate06

What Dee is saying is that you need to scan all your groceries, give them all your coupons and THEN scan your rewards card last. The register isn't taking your coupon on the free item because there isn't any price to take it off of. If you scan your card last, the item is still full price when the coupon is applied. Now, I know there have been several people who say that their WD insists that they scan their card first. I have never had that problem at mine. Hope it works out for you!

            • MaryJ

I'm so glad I saw this. I was having issues with that too. But this makes sense. Now I might actually start going back to Winn Dixie a few times a month.

            • Jennifer

I agree with them. I used to work at Winn Dixie. You want to wait until the very end to use your WD card and tell the cashier up front that you havea card and that you do not want to use it until the end. Also, pick your cashier! I got to the same cashier every time. I don't know if any of you watched extreme couponing but one of the women talks about “profiling” cashiers…but it's true…if you go to a young male cashier he is much more likely to push through your coupons. I have had printables that would not scan becaue my printer was low on ink and had several on bogos and not had any problems! I love WD because I have learned how to shop them!

            • Monique B

Ok that makes sense. Since the offer is for the extra free items if you have a Winn Dixie card then if you didn't use your card first the register rings it up as if you don't have a card. My problem was – the cashier just flat out told hubby he couldn't use the 2 extra coupons I had. He told me to add her name to my coupon nazi list. HAHA

      • Leighann Howell

My experience with deals like that (buy 1 item, get another item that isn't the same type for free) is that they won't take coupons on the free items. I ran into that with their Meal Deal. Say the deal would be pizza, breadsticks, etc. and I had coupons for the breadsticks. WD wouldn't take the coupons on the breadsticks because they were already free. I asked the manager about it and he said that's how they were set up at that store, YMMV.

        • http://thebrickhouseblog.com Shoppingonashoestring

Yes, this is what we are running in to, however, I am not sure how it differs from the bogo deals and how the registers allow for coupons on the “free” item with the bogos..

Yup – hubby just got back from Winn Dixie with their Pedigree Dog Food offer. Had a coupon for the large bag of Pedigree which they accepted, but the cashier said they couldn't take the coupon for the $1 off Dentistix (which were part of the buy the dog food get these items free) or the 3rd can of pedigree dog food (coupon for buy 2 get 1 free as shown above).

ok this is how i do it in jacksonville fla. if the store has self check out then i go there. i scan all of my items ,and then the coupons and finally my card .if you dont have self checkout see if the cashier will allow you to do it in this order.works everytime for me.they have smart registers and once the card is scanned the items price is at zero and it will not allow it to go below that without a manager .

This may be a silly question but the price in ( ) is the sale price or is it the price after coupon is applied? Thanks!

      • http://www.faithfamilyfrugality.com Alissabeth

That's the sale price for each item when you purchase the 2 for the B1G1.

      • Maritzabelrivera

Yes, you can say its the sale price. It's like they are splitting the cost of what one item would usually cost you. So the price in the () is essentiantly what you are paying for one item for. Hope this helps! ; )

What zip can I use for the Huggies wipes?

    • Bndflip83

You cannot tell me that a box of garbage bags is regular price 14 bucks. They jack these bogo prices so high these days you aren't even getting a deal with coupons.

      • Micahsue

Exactly! I dont have to watch PUblix so much, but Winn-Dixie…I have to watch them like a hawk. I actually price everything at Wal-Mart first, then go do my bogos

      • Cantbeatthisheat

I know! Winn-Dixie is the closest grocery store to me, the next one is 15 miles further. Sometimes I have no choice but to go there for something we ran out of,and it upsets me every time. :) They jack up the prices on name brand items very high and then offer the Winn-Dixie brand like you save SO much money by getting it. Their store brand items are almost always still more expensive than brand names at other stores. It's getting more and more rare to get a good deal at Winn-Dixie, especially on bogo deals when they double the price and then put it on sale.

        • wendyc33

they may have higher prices on the bogo deals, but their meat prices are hard to beat. I buy most of my meat here, and the bogo meats are usually a good price esp. if you find them for 2.00/lb or under. right now there skinless chicken breast are 1.99/lb. that is a stock up price. So i would not complain too much. they beat publix in meat by a mile.

Winn Dixie is the closest grocery store to my home but I avoid it if possible. They do jack up their prices and I find that at least in my store, they are bad about re-stocking.

not worth shopping… all the BOGO's are so ridiculous. I would never pay $6 for a 9ct of Bagel Bites! Cmon!!!

      • Sszgorlott

The bagel bites are not $6. In the ad it has the Bagel Bites and the Phillly steak-emms in the same picture and says save up to 6 with card. I don't know why winn dixie does this but they combine products like that in their ads. I paid 2.79 for two before my coupons. So I got them for 40 cents.

        • Sharmn25

how long did it take for them (Bagel Bites) to email you a coupon? i signed up for the their coupons and promotions, and haven't gotten anything.

    • Floydus87

I didn't see it on your list, but Ronco pasta is $10 for $10 and the Ronco pasta website has $1.00 and .55 cents off printable coupons, making the pasta free!!

      • Jennifer

thanks for this tip!!! the coupon also goes to your printer so you can print as many copies as you like :)

      • Kyrainalabama

we eat lots of pasta I printed 6 that will last me a couple of months thanks for the info!

      • CajunDutch

Hi, I am new to all this, and still trying to understand stuff. Can't believe this is all for real. So with the Ronco deal, does that mean that if I print out ten coupons, I get the 10 for 10 deal atvWinn Dixie for free? And if so, can I even print out as many coupons as I want and go to the store with them???

        • wendyc33

most printing sites only allow you to print 2 at a time, but you can print 2 more from another computer. but if you had 10 coupons for 1.00/1 you can use them all to get those free.

          • CajunDutch

Thank you for replying Wendy. Yes, I noticed most printing sites only allow you to print 2 coupons at time. After signing up at the Ronco pasta website (http://www.roncorecipes.com/co…) I've printed out 11 coupons so far, just kept clicking on the coupon. Did 10 coupons first and then an 11th to see if it would print more, and it did. So this would mean I could buy/get free the entire store stock? Or do they have a limit?

      • Chehahn

I'm new to this, can you use 10 $1 off coupons on a 10 for $10 product?

        • wendyc33

sure if you have 10 coupons u get them all free.

      • Sharmn25

Our WinnDixie doesn’t sell Ronco, but we have Luxary Pasta on sale 10/$10. you can go to http://www.luxarypasta.com and print their version of the $1 off coupon. I printed 6.

Winn Dixie in Brunswick has the Mueller's Pasta 10/$10 and the Mueller's site has the $1 off coupons. I didn't want to clean out the store so I only used 10 coupons which the site let me print with no problem.
