Surprise! Welcome to Southern Savers, Winn Dixie’s weekly ad. This is a long list of B1G1 deals and I confess that I left a few off. From looking at this list it appears that Winn Dixie does raise their B1G1 deal prices (compare Keebler Rite Bites price at Publix to this price). shoppinglist1

If you see any other deals please share.

I am still compiling their coupon policy but from what I can tell:
1. Winn Dixie in all areas except Florida double coupons that are 50 cents are less
2. Ask your store whether you need to buy 2 on B1G1 deals or you can just buy one.

Yeah for Southernsavers!! We’ve got it all now!! :) Thanks bunches Jenny, you rock!

      • Cathy

when you buy 5 kraft cheese, it will print a coupon for $5.00 off your next shopping order!

        • Sean

I put a detailed list of what products qualify in the comments below

    • meg

      Great surprise indeed!

    • Lisa

Thanks so much for adding Winn Dixies….I go between Winn Dixie and Publix! .

    • Aimee M.

Southern Savers is awesome! I also shop at Winn Dixie and Publix. Thanks for including WD!

    • Emily

Hurray! Thanks so much for adding Winn Dixie – they are really Publix only competitor here!

    • Sam

I am just branching out to my local Winn-Dixie (what with these interesting sales they’ve been having), so this is a welcome addition to the site! The Dawn in the P&G deal is actually 2.79 here in S. Florida, and 1.79 after the P&G discount.

    • heather

the Winn Dixie in Trussville, AL makes us buy 2 to get the discount. They do not half the price of the item so you can just buy 1. Also, they won’t take 2 coupons for a BOGO item or a coupon that makes you buy 2 items to get money off.

      • Bb

        Heather
the WD on Caldwell Mill and Valleydale will take them on B1G1. Last night I bought 2 boxes of Ritz crackers on B1G1 @ $3.39 and used a $2.00 off when you by 2…got them for .70!

      • Karen

The one in Helena, Al is the same and also you have to buy the same product. Some of the B1G1 are pictured like chips and dip B1G1 but you have to buy two chips or two dips not 1 chips and 1 dip. I was supprised when I looked at the receipt, and saw the full price!

        • Tabitha

The Helena, AL WD has always let me use two coupons on a BOGO. Yes, you do in fact have to buy two…They both ring up full price but then the price of the second is taken off later on the receipt. They have VERY confusing receipts, IMO.

        • Robbie

Over the last 33 years, I have shopped at eight different Winn Dixie stores in five counties and they have all been consistent in handling coupons and sales.

On Winn Dixie b1g1f deals, the ad will state whether or not you can mix or match items shown pictured together in the sales paper, or if you must buy two items just alike to buy one and get one free. You can buy two different flavors of the item that is b1g1f, such as one cheddar cheese Cheez-It and one white cheddar Cheez-It. If Doritos and Lay’s Chips are both pictured together b1g1f, read carefully to see if you can mix and match, otherwise, must buy two Doritos to get the deal, and two Lay’s likewise.

Use one coupon per b1g1f because you are only paying for one item.

Can also double coupons on b1g1f deals (up to coupon face value of 50 cents).

        • Damien Barber

The stores in Montgomery, AL make you buy 2 to get B1G1 deal… I think this is pretty standard across the board.

I also remember the Winn-Dixies in Central Florida did the same.

      • Jennifer

The Winn Dixie in Chelsea, Al. makes you buy the B1G1 items in even quantities too. They only let me use half of my coupons at the register, but then let me use the other half at the service desk and give me cash back for them. (ex. If I buy 4 of the same B1G1 items, I can use two coupons during my transaction and get cash back for the other two at the service desk.) It’s a bit of a hassle, but worth it if it’s a good deal. They usually have to call the manager over to do it though. Our Winn Dixie’s not usually busy though, so it’s not a big deal.

        • Jennifer

Also, our Winn Dixie (Chelsea, Al.) printed off a $10. off $50. purchase coupon last week!!! I’d never gotten one of those before!! I’m hoping they’re going to start doing that now! :)

        • Becky

Hey, I shop at Chelsea, AL WD some as well. I have been able to use 2 Q on BOGO deals and never had to go to the customer desk. A $10 Q will usually print once per week using my Customer Reward card. But I always use it at Publix as a competitor coupon since Publix has better deals and that gives me my “free” milk or whatever I need that I don’t have coupons for.

      • Rebecca

I also shop at Trussville Winn Dixie. I went round and round with them on taking 2 coupons on the bogo deals. I finally contacted corporate and he told me that yes, I could indeed use 2 coupons on the bogo. I have never had a problem since…they take them all the time now and I go almost weekly. I also get a great catalina 10 off $50 almost every time I go! The downfall is that you do have to buy 2 of the item to get a deal on the bogo…if you buy one, you don’t get it half off…boo!

      • Lianna

The Winn Dixie in Childersburg does require you to buy an even-number of BOGO items, but they will accept a coupon on each item. For instance, Progresso Broth often goes on sale BOGO for $2.99. If I buy two, I’ll use two 50 cent coupons (one on each carton). The coupons double and I end up paying 50 cents each.

This store is very coupon friendly and the clerks and management are super friendly! I shop at the store in Chelsea sometimes too and was not aware of the policy that Jenifer mentions. I will keep that in mind.

      • Leigha

I shop at the Winndixie in Clanton, AL and you do have to buy both to get the BOGO. Also, so far, they will not let you use two coupons for each of the pair. So sad. I used to get the $10 off $50 catalinas printed off just about everytime I went, but I haven’t gotten one in months. If there’s some sort of minimum purchase trick, or something, please post!

Thanks so much for adding this to your repertoire!

    • Tamara

      Yeah! Thank you Jenny!

    • Mollie

thanks so much!! our Publix won’t be done until spring, so it is just Winn dixie for now. The WD here (Auburn, ala) makes you buy 2 of the BOGO items, just a heads up.

    • kathi

RIP to “my” local WinnDixie. I am still in morning and they closed here over 5 years ago,

But still a YAY for those who still have WD to have Jenny on board w/ it because it is an awesome store and who knows if it manages to thrive in your area maybe it will come back here!

    • Winn Dixie has GREAT prices on meats…but they have never taken two coupons for B1G1…do you know if they have started this practice? Yesterday I bought 26lbs of meat for $35!!!

    • I honestly love Publix better and as mentioned by Jenny they DO raise their B1G1 price just before it goes on sale. Sorry but Im a Publix lovin shopper!

    • Chris

Thank-you for adding Winn Dixie! It’s the closet store to me until Publix opens up.

    • Carmen

THanks, Jenny. I have a Publix, Winn Dixie and Food Lion to choose from, BUT NONE that double coupons. :( I am very jealous of all you that have a store that doubles. There is a Harris Teeter around, but it takes 45 minutes to get to and their prices are so high here (north florida) that it isn’t worth driving there.

      • Robbie

I thought all the Winn Dixies doubled coupons, that it is a corporate policy.

        • Dana

Not in FLorida, no one doubles in Florida :( Well I guess there is a very small exception on occasion but unfortunately we do not get doubles here.

        • Reagan

WD doesn’t double here in Mississippi either :(

        • deedee

No Double coupons in south Fl at any store, Publix, WD, Albertson’s or otherwise.

    • LD

Thank you so much . I do shop Winn-Dixie from time to time. If the cashiers there knew more on coupons I would shop there more often lol . Just can get to many good deals at Publix to hassle ever week with them. They make up things on the spot lol and if I ask any more or explain they make up another story lol not worth it . I usually just say ok no problem just take it off my order please . The last time the cashier said over .50 cents lol it was $5 coupon. Which had has left with and told me it was on the counterfeit list lol yeah she really looked it up . The Kellogg’s coupon from targets site.
I just have not found another consistent site that list the winn dixe deals.

Again Thank you so much from a southern shopper

    • jennifer r

aaahhhhh!!!! you rock Jenny!!! this made my day!! i didn’t even look at the deals yet, i just had to leave a comment to thank you sooo much for working to put these deals together for us!!! thank you so much! yay!! now i can shop at winn dixie with confidence that i haven’t missed any deals! thank you soooo much! God bless you and your family!

    • Sean

Winn Dixie!!! Just what I always wanted!!!

I think the key to shopping Winn Dixie is the catalina deals. $10 off $50, $5 off $75, and $ off your next order when you buy deals. Their prices ARE ridiculous on BOGO deals. Look at Atkins shakes for example. They are BOGO everywhere this week: $5.99 at Walgreens, 7.99 at CVS, $6.99 at Publix, and $9.29 at Winn Dixie. Granted $4.65 each is a good price for them. But not as good $3 or $4. Score the $10 off $50 coupons though and you are golden. I actually scope the parking lot and registers looking for them. If I could figure out what makes them print I’d do it. I think we could all help each other out a lot by posting catalina deals when we see them. Getting them on the lists will be great for when the items go on sale.

      • j.hayes

I agree with helping each other out. I watched customer check out during Thanksgiving week to get the $10.00 off $50.00 coupon with no success. The following week in shopped in the store and a customer had a chart full of food with no coupons. I was second to be checked out in the line and obtain the $10.00 off $50.00 coupon. They indicate that it’s random and they have on idea when the coupons will print but for the most part I have noticed they print frequently when customers purchase sales items together. I was also informed that the coupon rarely prints the day after one has ended.

        • jennifer r

i agree too about the catalina deals! i am laughing because i have tried and tried to figure out how those 10 off 50 coupons print and i just can’t figure it out! i’ve even sent my hubby in to buy just a few items to see if one will print for an upcoming larger grocery trip and it won’t and then out of the blue they will print when i don’t expect it!…would love to know if someone understands how they work! you both are right though, they are gold when you get one!! :)

        • Sean

I know holidays are a time to get them for sure. On Thanksgiving day and Christmas you would get one no matter what. They advertised those though. On Thanksgiving, Kraft cheese was BOGO. My family eats low carb so I went and stocked up. I purchased 2 in 4 separate transactions. I got 1 for Publix, 1 for Sweetbay, 1 for Winn Dixie, and 1 for may sister in law. On a side note, if your store has a self checkout, it is great for breaking up transactions.

          • jennifer r

love love love the idea of breaking up transactions with the self checkout! great idea!! thank you!

            • Denise

For whatever reason, every single week, WD prints me the 10 off 50 coupon…and I use it at Publix because they have better deals…the only time I shop at WD is for their BOGO Meat deals.

I go there every week, just to buy a loaf of bread or something small and I get my coupon when I scan my card. Maybe because I don’t use it there, they are trying to entice me to spend more money at WD.

          • deedee

I go in every few weeks and spend anywhere from 2-5 dollars but have NEVER GOT A $/$$ CATALINA! I asked the cashier last time and she didn’t seem to know and then on the way out I asked the mngr. She pulled one out of her pocket and gave it to me!! LOL!!! Using it at Publix!

      • Damien Barber

I never spend $50 on groceries at Winn-Dixie as they never have as good of deals as Publix and I am hard pressed to spend $50 before coupons even at Publix since it is just me my wife and a baby (and the baby gets WIC), so the Catalina deals do me very little good except when its a coupon for a specific product that I use (though I find those deals to often not be as god as printable/ Sunday paper coupons).

        • jennifer r

remember, this often can be used as a competitor coupon at another grocery store!!! like publix!! :)

        • jennifer r

and yes damien! thanks to jenny and southern savers, our family of 5! is hard pressed to spend 50 a week at the grocery most weeks!!! i can’t even believe i can say that! praise God for jenny! when i get one of those 10 off 50 though it is 20% off and there is no grocery store around offering 20% off to our family, so i stock up on something or that is when i allow ourselves a few treats like marshmallows for hot cocoa that never go on sale or something…those little extras add up quick to get to 50! you are right though about being tough to get to 50! thank you jenny!!!! :)

          • jennifer

did u check target for holiday marshmallows. i got some for about 25cents a bag when everything was 75% off. they might still have some…not a popular item.

        • Dana

My Publix allows me to use the $10/$50 there as a competitor. Give it to the cashier FIRST! It will take the $10 off the TOTAL price, then use the rest of your coupons for a super low OOP! :)

      • Becky

I have always had a $10/50 print for me. But I only shop once a week at WD just for that purpose (and then use it at Publix). That might be the secret. And I always only get a few things, sometimes only one item. I’ve never had it not print.

    • Great to see Winn Dixie on Southern Savers, thank you Jenny! I will be checking into Winn Dixie as the Publix stores in North Central Florida (Ocala and Gainesville area) are being very inconistent in their acceptance of coupons. Thanks again Jenny for adding another shopping option!

    • Josie

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

    • Jenni

No more Winn-Dixies in my area. But I can’t complain. You already cover Bi-Lo, Food Lion and Publix, which are my most convenient grocery stores, and for FREE! I’m still not over that you do what so many OTHER sites CHARGE MONEY for!

    • Felicia

I’m so excited to see a store in my area! My Winn-Dixie (Mississippi) does not double coupons. Some of their BOGO deals aren’t all that great, but I’ve had good success with their BOGO on Kraft cheese, especially when I’m able to supplement that with coupons.

    • christina

      Woohoo!!
I work at a bank. In our parking lot is Winn Dixie and Walgreens. Across the street is Publix. Thank you so much for making my life even easier! I love the lists you create since I am NOT a visual person. They help reduce the chaos in my mind.

      • beth

Lucky you, lol! I would be in heaven!

    • sarah

Their catalinas really help to lower their prices, but they are extremely overpriced compared to Publix, which used to be the opposite. I sometimes shop WD just to get the catlinas which I can use at Publix. My WD won’t take internet coupons either. But it is nice to have a list for good deals, their meat deals are the best. Thanks!

      • Robbie

Winn Dixie has printable internet coupons on its website so all the stores should take good internet coupons.

        • Sean

Good point. I was told this at my store too, but I just started using the self checkout. I can’t understand how they come to this decision. I’m sure there is probably some fraud, but the amount of business they drive away must cost more. But, what do I know.

    • Yay! This is great! I just moved from Columbia (where you covered all the stores there) to Birmingham (where Publix and Target were it). I’ve been trying to figure Winn Dixie out for a couple of weeks now. This is great!

      • So glad to have you in the ‘ham! I don’t shop at Winn Dixie anymore b/c I have a much better experience at Publix. But that’s not to say don’t shop there. Just don’t shop at the one on Crosshaven in Cahaba Heights/Vestavia. The only reason I ever go in there is to look for coupon books and tearpads. :) And if you ever go to Publix, the best one is at Lee Branch on 280.

    • Amber

Winn-Dixie is our closest grocery store but I still go out of my way to go to Publix. However, I shopt at WD just enough to get their coupons to use at Publix! ;) I’m glad you added it… will make it easier; I don’t mind the occasional good deal and now I will know for sure if you are covering it! :D Thanks, Jenny!

    • Amber

I’m not finding the Peter Pan coupon in the January All You; there is a $1.00 off in the December All You (but it’s for a larger size than is on sale.)

      • Chantelle

I didn’t find it either and I would really like to have that Q… is it somewhere else, Jenny?

    • Jen

There is a Catalina deal through the month of January for Kraft Cheese. I believe it includes the slices, shreds and chunks. Buy 5 get a $5 off your next order catalina! I did this twice today with the slices that are 2/$4. I had the 50 cent qs that expire on the Jan. 10. Ended up with 5 packs of cheese for $2.50 (after catalina) or 50 cents a pack!

      • Sean

        Thank you for this

      • Sean

You say this also works with the Kraft chunks that are BOGO this week? That would sure influence how many I buy as I have no coupons.

        • Janet

It worked for me today. I was lucky enough to have printed out the internet coupon for $1 off 2 of the 2% milk cheese and had a .50 off the slices. So, I bought a total of 4 of the block cheese and one slice, and paid $7.98-$2.50 in coupons for OOP of $5.48 and got the $5 catalina back……. great deal Thanks for the tip.

    • Beth

I live in Millbrook, Al and at my Winn Dixie you MUST buy 2 on the B1G1 deals to get the sale price. They also will only allow one coupon on the B1G1 deals. I have noticed they do have higher prices but put more meat B1G1 than Publix does. Thanks for adding them. Makes it much easier for me.

    • Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!! This has long been awaited! I missed the fact that you (Jenny) didn’t cover W.D. I really like their meats and their canned goods are pretty reasonable. We need to keep W.D. in the shopping picture because it means more competition for the prices to go down. Yes, I like Publix so that Walmart can’t take over but at the same time we do not want Publix to have a monopoly on things. (BTW, I love their $10 off $50 for shopping at Publix)

    • Anne

I shop just a tiny bit at winn dixie to get the 10.00 off 50.00 coupon, then I go over to Publix and do the bulk of my shopping over at Publix. I saw a 5.00 off 50.00 in groceries in this weeks publix flyer, I wonder if they will let me combine that with the 10.00 of 50 from Winn Dixie?

    • DeeDee

YEAH!!! They are Publix real competitor in south FL. So happy! I don’t shop there often, but occasionally they have a good deal. Like last weeks Kellogg’s deal that combined with the BOGO Q’s! Couldn’t beat that one!

    • Shawna

I shopped WD this weekend in GA and the allowed two coupons for the BOGO items. Maybe I just got lucky! Also they had a sale buy two Tombstone pizzas $11 and get 4 other items free 2 liter of coke, breyers ice cream, WD breadsticks, Farm Rich cheese sticks. I don’t know how often they run deals like that, but it was on the first page of the flyer from last week. I usually go for the meat BOGOs.

      • Laura Pichard-Murphy

It seems WD does the meal deal every other week. Two weeks ago they offered FREE Bryers ice cream, frozen bread, frozen veggie, 2 liter Coke and one other item (I can’t remember) with the purchase of a Stouffers family size lasagna.

    • Tina

I am in Fl. I only shop for the BOB0 meat deals and to get the $10 off $50 catalina so I can use it at Publix. I go in Winn dixie every week and even if I am not shopping for meat I just buy 1 can of peaches for my daughter just to get $10 off $50 to have for my Publix trip. It will only shoot one a week. It always shoots at the beginning of their week which is Wed. thru Mon.. I have gone on the last day Tuesday before and it did not shoot so I don’t do that anymore. If you get a new card you won’t get the catalina you will get the free gas credit. I told them I did not want a new card.

      • Sean

This has worked for you every week?

        • Laura Pichard-Murphy

I”ve not been able to get the catalina coupons the last two times I’ve been in (Tuesday and Thursday of last week). Not sure why. I’ll try again today, just to see if I can get the $10/$50 coupon.

        • Tina

Yes and my friends do the same thing.

      • jennifer r

that is interesting about the days of the week! pleae lets all keep sharing our experiences about when the 10 off 50 prints! thank you…so if i’m understanding, in your experience, they do not print on tuesdays?!
i also hung on to my old w. dixie card as i was concerned about the new one not printing the 10 off 50….any other thoughts on that subject?! i have not used the new one at all…hmmm…boy do they have us guessing!!!

        • dawn

My brand new card would not print one either. Must be the gas credit thing. I wouldn’t have bothered otherwise. Back to Publix. They wouldn’t let me use a Farm Rich q because they said it was already free. Would NEVER have happened at Publix!!! So what? You still get reimbursed for it! First and last time at that dirty store.

    • Dianne

Thank you for this nice addition to your already wonderful blog!

    • Elizabeth

Thank you so much, Jenny! This is awesome!!

    • katie

Jenny-thank you so much. For me it’s WD and Publix, we have a Food World to and I am starting to go over thier ad a little more dilegently since they are the only ones who do double coupons here in Pensacola, Fl. Usually even with the double coupons they are still higher than the other stores.
Unfortunately WalMart is still the lowest on certain things I buy every week. I will say since finding you the list of the things I find for the lowest price there has shrunk considerably, but not totally disappeared.
Praise God for your faithfulness to all of us out here, you are truley a blessing to all of us.

      • Chris

I live in Pensacola, too, and did not know that Food World doubled coupons. I didn’t think any of the stores did. Thanks for the info!

    • Jamie

THANKS JENNY! I have an automatic savings of 3% for the tax rate when I go to the WD! THANK YOU!

    • Ailin

Thanks for the heads-up about the Catalinas. I’ll have to test this out. I love getting it for Publix use, but lately there have been some good deals. The Procter & Gamble deal ($5/50) is great this week if you have good coupons from the Right at Home booklet, for example. I purchased 20 items valued at $70 or so for $15.90 OOP after coupons and the 2x$5 off. Thank you, Jenny, for making it easier to identify the good deals at WD!

      • Janet

Yes, these P & G coupons are great with this deal. I had 4 of the booklets (from mail) and bought 4 of the Dawn direct foam for $2.79 each and one Febreze air effects for $2.29. Used 4-$1.50 off Dawn direct foam and 1-$.50 off Febreze and the $5 comes off automatically.
So, $2.24 OOP for all 5 items was a great deal to me. If you have any of these coupon books, look throught them now.

    • Mrs. G

This is so great!!! I only shop at Winn Dixie, and I’ve just been roughing it on my own. Thanks so much, Jenny!!

    • Tabitha

Like everyone else I’m saying THANK YOU Jenny for posting this. I don’t go to WD as much as Publix just because it is hard to find the matchups…Speaking of…
Can we not use the $2.50 Electrosol q from the 1/3 inserts to make the Finish Detergent free (if your WD will take 2 q’s on a BOGO)??

      • Carissa House

The sale is on the dishwasher gel, and the coupon specifically states the gel paks or tabs- bummer!!!! I only know because I went last night to do that very thing!!!!!

        • Tabitha

I see that now that I actually have the ad in my hands. The picture looks like the liquid, but the words say it is for the powder…Either way, won’t work! That really is too bad!! I hope there is a good deal on them before the 31st…I guess I should have gotten them today at Target for .99 after coupon! ;(

    • Dee

Imagine my surprise when I clicked on to Southern Savers and saw the first entry of Winn Dixie. WOWThank you so much for adding Winn Dixie. I also shop between Publix and Winn Dixie, along with local grocers.. This addition has made this site complete for me.

      Thank you.

    • I have not shopped at WD for awhile, but as far as I know, the one in Auburn, AL does not double coupons. This is the only reason I shop at Kroger (its the only store in the area that doubles q’s).

      • Mollie

        Hilary,
Both the WD in Opelika and in Auburn do double coupons. I have shopped there for years, waiting for our Publix. If they give you a hard time, get the manager, but I have had no problems lately. good luck!

    • Stephanie

Thank you so much for adding WD.

    • Jennifer

Awe, I miss Winn-Dixie. I didn’t realize they were still around. They were bought out by Food City in my area. Winn-Dixie was my favorite!

    • Cathie

      Tabitha,
I think we can. I will try this morning and let you know!
      cathie

    • jamie

thank you so much! i love publix but its a good fifteen minute drive comepared to winn dixie that is less than 5 minutes from my house!!yay! i can save so much on gas too with their gas rewards!

    • Liz

Thank you for adding WD. I normally shop at both WD & Publix. This will help and thanks for all the hard work.

    • Sean

Found this at weusecoupons.com. I can’t attest to the accuracy of it. The statement “pictured are Jell-O, Baker’s chocolate, Philly cream cheese” led me to believe it was accurate.

If so, one deal idea would be
buy (4) Kraft Chunk Cheese 5-8 oz BOGO at $3.39 and
      (1) Kraft Singles at $2

use (2) -$1/2 Kraft Cheese products printable (IE) or printable (FF)
      (1) -.50/1 Kraft Singles SS 12/6

Makes it $1.28 for all after coupons and catalina.

Also not listed above, Breakstone 16oz sour creme is 2/$3.

Use (5) Breakstones sour cream 16oz or larger $0.55/1 12/13 SS and get 5 free.

WYB 5 Kraft Cheese Products during 1/1/10-1/24/10 you will receive a $5 coupon/catalina off a future shopping order. All Items must be purchased in one shopping order.

Products eligible 6oz or larger (unless otherwise specified)

      Kraft Singles

      • Tina

Can you use the catalina obtained from Philly cream cheese to buy breakstone cottage cheese doubles? I am new to WD, in fact I have never get any catalina. So thanks for any advice. I am going to try this weekend.

    • Kelly

Yay! I love Winn-Dixie! So excited :) THANK YOU Jenny!

    • wendy

Thank you this is great! I am not a big fan of Winn dixie. There prices are high compared to Publix, but it is basically the only grocery store in our small town. I will say the meats are great. When on sale very good prices, but everything else is a little high.

    • Renee LeBlanc

Thank you so much for adding Winn Dixie..we only have WD and WalMart to choose from in Baton Rouge, Louisiana f(or smaller, more pricey stores) so this is great!!! Also, just FYI, the stores here do not double any coupons, but have always been great at accepting internet coupons. If anyone ever does figure out that Catalina coupon, I would love to know the trick!! It is a pleasant surprise when it does print!!

    • Samantha

I am very excited to see Winn Dixie added. In Tallahassee now I shop both Publix and Winn Dixie, but living in Selma and Troy, Alabama for a long time Winn Dixie was pretty much it. I know the meat deals don’t look that good on paper, but I swear they are when you go in the store. I’ve bought a huge package of pork chops before for like $7.50 or so and then got another one free because they were bogo. I mean, if you saw a huge package of 8 pork chops for $3.75 at Publix, you’d buy it right? Winn Dixie meat deals are the best.

      • LD

I am with you on that . Some are great deals [others not so hot] I like it when the hormel cure 81 hams are on sale b1g1. DH takes a lot of deli lunch meat to work and these make for good cheap lunch sandwiches [compared to boars head or publix brand] when you figure out per lb compared to deli meat its a great deal. It is a bit of $ up front for meat on the sales but it last us. If they dont have 2 within a few cents of each other though I will pass and needs to be a bit on the cheaper [smaller end] for us too , just dont have that much $ to put out at once. And i have gotten good deals on the chops too. I think they have some good sales on a few frozen things from time to time too. Like my super pretzels and icecream lol I dont buy too much else there but they do take internet free coupons not that i have had many but they will take them . with no rhyme or reason I can figure out on there catalinas no sense in me worrying about those lol i cant afford the risk in trying . I havent spent enough there yet to take advantage of the gas saving that i know of .

    • Sean

I got a South Beach Catalina at Winn Dixie

buy South Beach Living packages of fiber fit bars, protein fit bars, or 100 calorie snack bars between 1/01 and 1/24

      buy 2 get $1.50 oyno
      buy 3 get $3 oyno
      buy 4 get $4 oyno

    • Kate

I miss Winn-Dixie! I cut my couponing teeth there in college. They used to do B1G2 deals!! Those were the days…

    • Brittany

So glad you added WD. I was waiting for it! WD is the only grocery store besides Publix I shop at. Maybe 80% P and 20% WD. It’s nice to have all the info I need in one place now. Thanks!

    • lynn

meat nprices and bread price are about all i do at win dixie i use to shoppeverthing till jenny showed methe light on publix thanks a million

    • MCH

I am Publix and Winn-Dixie also. Thank you so much for adding it. I was very excited about the BOGO chicken breast at WD at 3.99lb. Then I saw they are on sale at publix for 1.99lb, so it is the same thing. I need to watch for these types of things a little more, marking prices up just to offer bogo

    • Cathy

      Thanks so much!!

    • Lianna

One thing I hate about WD though, is that they add in the tax to the total BEFORE coupons. That always throws me off when I’m trying to calculate my spending. I think that’s why they make their receipts so confusing, so you don’t realize they’re ripping you off on the tax. But that’s my only local store so that’s where I shop and coupon! Publix is an occasional luxury for me :)

      • Robbie

The Winn Dixie cash register totals all items listed on the receipt and states the tax, THEN deducts the list of coupons, and then gives the new final total amount and the final amount of tax that is payable by the customer. It is a detailed list and explanation of all purchases, savings, and costs.

The same occurs on Walmart receipts, but Walmart is not as detailed as Winn Dixie. On a lengthy Walmart receipt, there may be more than one subtotal throughout the receipt, which may or may not include taxes tallied through that point (I have had receipts both ways).

        Maybe this will help.

    • Laura

i scored 4 peterpan peanut butter jars for 2.79!!! it was BOGO plus i had the buy2 get1 from jan. all you mag. I got a few other great deals too!!

      • Chantelle

Laura, what page with is Q on? I have scoured this mag 4 times and can’t find it…… Help!

        • Robbie

The store issue and the mail-order issue of “All You” are not exactly the same.

I found this out when I bought a January issue in the store, having forgot that I had received a copy by mail weeks earlier in December. The store issue was better so I am not paying the invoice to buy a subscription.

I cut out the coupons and threw the magazines away so I cannot give specific examples to anyone, but I specifically recall that the first few pages were different. The store-bought issue had card stock coupons for Healthy Choice and Marie Callendar that my mail order issue did not have in that space.

          • Chantelle

That is frustrating. Seems like they would want to rewards the customers who have a subscription or at least not penalize them for having one.

            • Robbie

There may not always be a difference in the mail order and store-bought issues of “All You” because some months the value of coupons inside is printed on the cover. January did not boldly display the coupon value on the cover, as I recall.

By the way, received a copy of Family Circle by mail, already threw it away after cutting coupons, pretty sure it was the February issue because it arrived in January, but there’s a lot of coupons in it. Worth checking out in the store if you don’t subscribe.

    • kelly88

Thanks Jenny for the Winn Dixie add. I use Publix and WD and this makes it easy for me!

    • Damien B

Just thought I’d note that the listed Procter and Gamble deals have the price AFTER $5 off in instant savings. For a minute there I thought I would be getting an even better deal than it really was as I added everything up and then subtracted $5 only to find out when I visited Winn-Dixie’s site that the listed prices were after taking into account the $5 off 5.

      • Damien B

So if you want to know the actual price before discount add $1 to each item on the list.

      • Damien Barber

Also, I found out when I got there and read the fine print that it is $5 off of NON-P&G products… I had to buy some OJ that I had not planned on buying so that I could get free $5 worth of products.

    • Bethany

Oh my gosh! I am SO THRILLED that SS is doing Winn-Dixie ads now! I’ve often thought that was the ONE problem with SS! LOL! And now it’s rectified! THANK YOU!

    • Elaine

Thanks for the WD breakdown. I’m in Pensacola, FL. Our grocery stores are Publix, Winn Dixie, and Food World. So, I’m very thankful to see another of “my” grocery store added besides just Publix. Thanks for all you hard, hard work. I appreciate this site.
