      Has anyone tried this yet???

I added the app to my phone, was able to send a $5 gift card to my boyfriend, and i have a $5 gift card in my virtual “wallet”.  Have not tried to actually use the gift card in the store yet.  they say it’s good for 30 days. and the “freebies” change daily. I’m anxious to see what it’s all about.

I recently uninstalled the app from my iPhone. Whenever I tried to use the $5, it always seemed to have trouble connecting to the server. Tried for at least 2 months before giving up.

I never trust a freebie unless I can see where they make their money.

Does anyone know how the company benefits from this? I can’t make it make sense…

I agree Nonnie. I am not very trusting of stuff like this. I would rather be safe than sorry. It’s not like the Gap itself is offering this.

They are very small gift cards compared to the the prices of most of the merchandise; so the company will make money because you will most likely spend more…and the friends you offer them the $5 gift card to will do the same, etc.Marketing scheme but if you realize it is then you can beat it and get free stuff.  Panties on clearance from Gap may work as a freebie, but not sure if it will work on clearance stuff.  But will try :)
