Good news if you need to stock up on chicken breast! Zaycon Foods has another event coming up for cities in Georgia and Florida. Their chicken breast is sold in forty pound cases and is $67.90 per case or $1.69 per pound.

You will need to log-in or register to see all of the participating cities.

When you go pick up this deal be sure to have freezer bags ready. You will need to individually package the chicken before freezing. I use a Food Saver vacuum sealer and you can see all of my chicken packaged above.

If you don’t have space for 40 lbs of meat, you can go in with a friend to split the deal.

Zaycon Foods offers 100% natural chicken and beef with no added hormones, additives, or artificial ingredients.

Thanks! I was hoping for a deal on chicken breasts. This is perfect, except that the pick-up isn’t for a month.  Still, you never get chicken breasts for $1.69/ lb anymore, so I’m willing to wait.  I’d never heard of Zaycon before- tips like this are why I’m a loyal Southern Savers follower. Thanks again!

Zaycon foods are awesome! Top quality and great prices! I wish they came by more often!

    • Shmily143

Never used this company before. how often do  they have a deal like this?

      •  The last time they offered it was in July. Different regions have deals at different times, but I try to let folks know when they open it up to cities in the Southeast.

    • Jen

Never heard of this company before.  How quality is the meat that you get?

      • Shannon

Great quality. I have bought their chicken, ground beef and bacon. The day you get it is definitely hectic, getting it all separated for freezing. But it’s nice to have it in the quantities your family eats in one meal. AND you don’t have to worry about buying chicken again for months!

    • Jvcoupongirl

might just do this, wish it was organic though!  Have been buying shares of organic beef and pork recently and LOVE the savings.  Chicken is crazy expensive, silly little birds!

    • Schneck85

I have ordered from zaycon before. Chicken breasts are HUGE. They say they’re hormone free but I have never been a chicken that big. Good deal, just not sure if I believe that they are actually hormone free.

      • Iris Potter

Was wondering about this myself. Our local true free range organic chickens are tiny! On each of the farms I’ve checked out.

      • Jbuttimer

ALL chicken sold in the US is hormone free. Saying that on the label is just a marketing ploy. You can Google “hormones in chickens” and read up on it.

That, of course, does not mean they are organic or grass fed. Just that they don’t give them antibiotics.

        • mjm5543

I’m not sure where you got that info.  Actually, most chicken sold in the U.S. is pumped with antibiotics and hormones. Even the ones that say hormone free may be bending the rules, but if it isn’t labled hormone free, you can bet it has them.  It’s standard for the chicken industry.

How much fat and stuff is there to trim off the breasts?  I’m a member of zaycon but have never ordered yet.  Some breasts I buy in the store require a lot of trimming and others don’t.  The more I have to trim the less of a savings it is.

      • We have never had an issue with high fat from Zaycon and we’ve been ordering for a year now.  There is a tiny bit, but way less than I find from store bought chicken.  The chicken breasts are also HUGE and don’t shrink.  We haven’t bought store chicken since we started using Zaycon because I feel like I get so little for my money with store bought.

    • cjsparks27

What type of payment do they accept? Do you know of they accept SNAP or EBT?

    • Kaylars

Zaycon is great! This will be our 3rd order from them and we could not be happier. My mom, aunt and I go in on two cases and make a day out of it. We have the Food Saver like Jenny mentioned and it makes this so easy! My aunt and I “trim” if any is needed and my mom bags it up.Then we all grab a foodsaver and start sealing.. I highly suggest Zaycon Foods!

does anyone know when they’ll be coming to NC???

    • Heidi

Yeah, so glad they are coming back to our area (Cape Coral) as I had just used my last bag of chicken…this trip I’m getting a whole box instead of splitting one with my sister…she’s getting her own box also.

    • Esolgirl4ever

I just registered, but I’m a little confused as to what to expect when we go pick it up. What is the process once you arrive? Thx for any guidance:)

      • HouseWife

They usually have it set up in the parking lot (of the church or community center).  There is a large truck trailer with all the chicken/meat/fish in it.  You drive around and park next to the trailer (they have signs, cones, and people directing).  It is basically a drive through.  You had them you ID or order paperwork and they load your car.  You never even have to get out!  I usually have to wait in line 5 minutes, tops.

    • Jenny

Does anyone know roughly how many chicken breast you get for 40 lbs?

      • 5higgins

On average, one breast equals 8oz, so 2 per pound, about 80, but then that all depends on the size of each one.  It’s just an average.

        • Hmolony

I’ve ordered these before and the size of these chicken breasts are nearly double the size of the average chicken breast. I’m a little hesitant to order these again. I find the meat to be a little tough and strangely stringy. I’m wondering how mature the chickens that they come from are.

          • Emily

Most of the chicken breasts that you buy in the store are split, I believe these ones are whole, so they should be about double.

    • Cnnichol

      do they have salmon

    • Jbuttimer

I’ve never tried the chicken, but I’ve had the ground beef twice and I must say it’s the closest thing to grinding it myself that I can find. You can really taste the difference. Top, top quality.

    • Ghoti

I sined up based on their previous low priced but have yet to see them offered here in SC. Having to buy 40 lbs I expect to save more a pound than #0.10. Kroger has sales here (SC) at $1.89 a pound and Aldi’s had a sale two weeks ago on chicken breasts.  Same price as Zaycon and you didn’t have to buy 40lb’s to get that price. I cannot speak to the quality of either but buying 40 lbs is a huge amount for unknown qualityPilgrim’s Pride Boneless Skinless Chicken Breast, $1.69 lb

I signed up based on their previous low prices but have yet to see them

than $0.20 -$0.10/lb. Kroger regularly has sales here (SC) at $1.89 a pound and Aldi’s had a

      • DonnaC

Wow, you’re lucky to get those sale price!  Around here (Charleston), the lowest sale on chicken breasts (boneless & skinless) is $3.89 a pound!!  On VERY rare occasions, I’ve seen a better deal here, but not by much.

I’m signed up & waiting to see when they come to this area.  That’s a great price & I’ll probably get others in my family to split with me.  :)

    • MeMe

Kroger just had skin-on breasts for $0.99 not so long ago.
