So confused! How do you get to free item?
Example above it says Peter Pan Peanut Butter is free at Publix!
What makes it free? I show it's on sale for 2 for $2.47 then there is a 50 cents off coupon in the SS. How is this free?

      • Mistydawnwall

Use the store q for $1 off then us the .50 coupon that will be doubled. You don't have to buy both. So 1 will be 1.24 and you have up to 1.50 in q's. HTH

      • Margaret

You need to view the Publix deals for this week to see the coupon matchups.

      • Naenae248

There is also a store coupon that you can match with the manufacturer coupon to make it free. Or if you don't have the store coupon it will be just a few cents if your store doubles the manufacturer coupon.

      • Mommyto1cutie

They will double your .50 coupon. Use 2 .50 coupons and 1 publix 1.00 store coupon. That is that is $3.00 off of $2.49 peanut butter. You actually make money. If you can't get the Publix store Q it will be like .49 for 2 jars of peanut butter.

      • Deb

        read about “stacking”

      • Migalie13

But if you live in Florida Publix won't double coupons. I don't understand why, don't think it's really fair for us couponers in Florida…

        • paula

Taxes eat us up here in Alabama. That is bad for you about the doubling.

    • Mmdbaggett

I Am new to all of this couponing. A little overwhelmed. I went out this morning to CVS
bought 18 items for 26.00 not sure if that is good.
I tried to get only the sales items but, I had no coupons for that. It is hard getting started.

Don't give up,and try to go to a work shop or just read all the free tips on Southern Savers

Foresure hang in there, I was not a coupon believer for years, until someone at church introduced us to the information from Southern Savers. I got started…..slowly, then went to one of Jenny's classes. (my hubby even went with me to the class) I just had my best week with HT super doublel. I'm so happy $237 worth of groceries and paid out $90! for me that was success.
Reading these postings have been a great help.
Learnig from other to not cut out every coupon, instead putting the whole coupon paper in a file and then just pulling the file when I needed….Jenny will tell us the exact paper to look for our coupon. Also, when looking at the store's shopping list that shows a print in available…..print it, if is a product that you use often… so that you have a few extra coupons on hand.
        Buy the paper every week!!!!
Good luck it will work with a little work and study of process.

    • Yvette718

about the softsoap at kroger the one on sale is the 6-7.5 oz and the coupon says 8oz will the coupon still work on the smaller ones?

    • Amysbrock

On the Muellers Pasta I was able to print two 55 cent coupons & four $1 off coupons. Might have been able to print more, but I'm stopping at 10 free boxes. We eat a lot of the elbow pasta & plan on sharing with my parents & siblings famlies! Score for the entire family!! Thanks!

      • Kelley

My Bilo didn't have Elbows on sale, but had all of teh following on sale for $ 1 which made them free wiht either coupon. Linguini, fetteccini, spirals, angel hair & mini shells. I bought 20 boxes.

    • Bpkilgore

I only can eat very healthy things and am wondering if I need to start this process. Can any body tell me how you do it if you only use tom's and can't eat glutan and dairy and have to eat fresh foods?

      • Mom_4_Him

Hello! In my opinion, I think couponing is an excellent way to go. There are several healthy, organic, etc coupons out there. You may have to look a little harder though. We try to eat very healthy as well. We have had allergy related issues as well. If I can save $1 or 2 on something that I'm going to buy anyways, why not?? I sometimes will purchase free or overage items, that we won't use and donate them to get healthier items. HTH.

Have I lost my mind–be kind! I thought someone had Progresso on sale 10 for $10?

Or was it another big can of soup?

    • Kelley

      I think it was Walgreens
