    • Looks like I can skip this week for buying a paper! Not too much on there that I need.

    • Amanda

What about RedPlum?? Are they publishing this week or next?

      • Tonya

According to Redplumpreview.com their next release date is 12/06/09

        • Arminda

Omg, that sucks! I thought those things came every week! I guess I still have a lot to learn lol. I’ve only been at this for a week. What about Smart Source?

    • Amanda

um…isn’t infusium going to be FARR at Walgreens black friday? would be a money maker if it is.

      • Stacey

Yes, Infusium is FARR at Wags on BF. I’ll use this weekend’s q and the one out of All You at Wags for some Infusium.

        • Tylersmommy

I AM SO EXCITED…this is my first black friday knowing about all this stuff :)

    • Momof2(Greer, SC)

Looks like I’ll be skipping this week also unless there is an ad that I need to PM at Target.

    • I’m glad I loaded up last week with Bi-Lo’s BOGO sale. Looks like nothing in the next couple of weeks.

    • Looks like I’m taking the week off too. Here’s to hoping for a HUGE 12/06 insert list!

    • Karen

What paper does all the black friday sales ads come in, I would think this Sunday? right, or when?

    • dawn

Black Friday sale ads come in the Thanksgiving’s Day paper generally.

    • kelli

I’m not sure I’ll be getting this one either. Doesn’t seem like there’s much that I’d use. The $1/2 Kraft coupons would be nice but I doubt we’ll get them. I don’t think that we’ve ever gotten Kraft coupons here, not since I started couponing at least.

Out of curiosity, did everyone get 3 inserts last week? my papers only had 2. I checked about 8 papers and every one of them only had 2, so I just bought them.

      • Stacey

I’m in Lexington, SC and I get The State and The Charlotte Observer and all of my papers had 3 inserts (RP, SS, and GM inserts).

        • kelli

I live in southwest virginia. I get the roanoke times. it only had rp and ss.

      • Jennifer

I get two paper delivered to my house. Any time there is an insert with general mills coupons, such as last week, the smaller paper never has it. Every other time they get both get the same inserts. So I know if it a GM insert, I will only have one set instead of 2 every time.

      • big john

the bic and infusium are both good money makers. And if you haven’t tried the true north snacks your missing something. Looks like most of the other would make good or great tripling q’s. just my belly button err opinion lol

    • Beth

So do the inserts vary by paper in the same store? Should I be checking each paper?

As far as differing between papers, is it that the coupons are completely different or are there pages missing from the inserts. I noticed last week (11/15) there were about 6 coupons I went looking for but weren’t there or were different….for example, instead of Breakstones sour cream there was a Daisy sour cream q. Do they make completely different inserts for each different paper? If so, anyone know why?

      • Sharon in SC

see below, sorry didn’t reply in here

      • The Mentalist

Coupons do vary from paper to paper in the same city or store. From my experience in my area, the difference is hardly a coupon or few and thats about it. For example, one paper in my area might have SS with a Colgate coupon that might be missing altogether from SS in another paper.

      • Jason

Sometimes you will see huge variations. The Asheville Citizen Times, for example, has a *very* abbreviated Redplum compared to the Charlotte Observer — the one in the Asheville paper is about half ads, and it’s always missing lots of coupons. I remember one time the front of the one from the Observer said “save $50” and the other one said “save $30” during the same week. The Asheville paper also contains a smaller Smartsource.

    • Sharon in SC

No, your coupons will not differ from the papers in the store, Unless one of your insert’s are missing from your paper.
The Coupons will differ from region’s.. Example: I live in Gilbert, SC and get The State newspaper out of Columbia, SC which is the largest one in area, Aunt brought me the coupons from Asheville, NC, and her husband brought me coupons back from the Charlotte, NC! 3 different papers from 3 different regions, they all had pretty much the same coupons some differences were: Charlotte paper had a $1.00 off Sunkist coupon, Asheville paper was 35 cent off birdeye and mine here was 50 cent off. Another difference was the Marcal paper products, One paper gave free roll of paper products upto 1.00 and other one gave a free pack of 250 napkins upto 2.99. Different area’s of the country will be trying to sell there product. If it is selling in Charlotte really good then the coupons are small or not there at all, in markets where they are trying to win over customers the coupon values will be higher and more often. Have family members in other parts of the country share coupons with them. Hope this helps.

      • Beth

        Thanks Sharon!

    • Anita in NC

I am happy I discovered this site. I live in a small town outside of Wilmington, NC. I have to drive 20 minutes before church to get Raliegh New and Observer. The only big paper that comes my way. This site saved me gas money and time. My Smartsource in the Star News will be smaller, but it seems to be nothing I need.

    • Rebecca

I ALWAYS take my coupons when I drive home during the holidays. Their Qs have different values on many key items that I buy. My sister and I have a great time swapping (always good for a bonding moment, LOL!) For example, her Dillons (owned by Kroger Co.) there will double anything up to a dollar – different from here – it’s called “super double” (any Q over $.50 counts as a dollar off). Here in Atlanta it’s only good for a dollar if it’s a $.50 Q, and only doubled if it’s $.50 or under. She can take a Q for $.65 to Dillons and get $1.00 off of the product ALL OF THE TIME. I take a $.65 coupon to Kroger and get $.65 off (BUMMER for me!). Consequently, their coupons tend to be lower value than ours. She’ll get a $.35 Q for something, and our paper will have a $.55 Q for the same item. When we swap, we both do better at our own stores. Make sense? Long story short, regional variations can help you if you have someone that’s willing to swap with you, and if you’re willing to go through the time and trouble to do it. We both think it’s fun, so it works out well for us.

    • Have gone through my paper 3x and found not a SINGLE insert…? (Knox News Sentinel) .. Anyone else? I’m tempted to go snag a 2nd paper to see if ours was just missing.

      • Ashley

I get the Tennessean in Nashville and my paper did not have any either :( thinking about going to get another one.

      • Jess

I got 4 of the Knox News Sentinel from Food City and they all had SS in them.

      • Joyce

Julie, I see you’re in Knoxville. Do you know of a site with Food City sales and coupon deals?
I absolutely LOVE Southern Savers and all Jenny does to help us!
        All you ladies are terrific!

    • Tara

A little bummed today. I purchased the Post and Courier newspaper in Charleston, SC. I specifically needed the General Mills and Cracker Barrel cheese coupons. Neither were in my edition of Smartsource, nor were the Pillsbury coupons. I thought maybe since I bought my newspaper at a store that perhaps somebody had snitched the coupons. However, I called my mom who has the paper delivered to her house, and she had exactly what I had, which is mostly what was listed above but minus the items that I just mentioned. Apparently, our region did not get everything that is listed above. :-( Anybody else have this problem?

      • Tara

Now I just went through and compared my insert to what was mentioned above. I would have much rather had the one listed above. Here is what was missing out of my insert based on the above list:

        Betty Crocker potato buds
        Duck Packaging tape
        Farmland Ham
        General Mills cereal
        Hill’s Science Diet
        Infusium 23
        Johnsonville Sausage
        Kraft cheese
        True North

Here are the brands that I DID receive that were not listed in the above list:
        Bob Evans sausage
        Bob Evans side dishes
        Sonicare–tootbrush, battery, and brush heads
        Horizon Milk Breakers
        Neutrogena cosmetics
$5 off Philips HDMI gold cable.

        • April

I have no coupon inserts in the State paper and only 1 in the Charlotte Observer.

        • Amanda

Hey Tara, if you got the Schick razor coupons and want to trade them for the General Mills cereal coupons (in fact you can have a few of mine, since we have cereal running out of our ears) and the Kraft/Cracker Barrel cheese coupons, I will be more than happy to switch with you. : )

    • Amanda

Got the Greenville News in Easley, SC. The 3 Schick razor coupons were not in my paper : (

    • Julie

no inserts in my paper which is the Tennessean. Why does this happen?

      • Ashley

I had the same problem with the one that was delivered to my house. However I went and bought another one at the gas station and it did have the SS insert in it.
I have emailed the tennessean about it, No response yet

    • ET

In my AJC there was a second insert, “All the Trimmings” which is by Publix. I also found them at our local Publix. It has store and manufacturer coupons.

    • Lisa

I went to buy a Tennessean newspaper at Kroger and I did not see any coupons either so I didnt buy it.
